And then you can message them nonstop until they allow you into their lives and then you’re becoming their beta reader and suddenly you know multiple authors of all types of fiction books and fanfic authors who will drag out their deleted fics for you to read at a moments notice.

Anyway. Comment on fics and message authors. It’s absolutely worth it.

With sheep-like features and a gentle spirit, she always felt like the odd one out: a soft ball of wool in a family of headbutting rams. After years of being the family’s unofficial peacekeeper (and designated mender of torn tunics), Patcha packed up her things, cashed in her savings, and left for greener pastures...literally.

She settled in a quiet, hilly region just beyond a quaint little town, where the only drama came from the occasional thunderstorm or wayward goat. There, she built the cozy cottage of her dreams and began raising silkworms in peace. Drawing on her innate magical talents, she wove enchantments into her fabrics, turning them into works of wearable art. Word spread quickly, and soon nobles, adventurers, and even royalty were lining up for garments touched by her gentle hands and soft spells.

Now known far and wide as the Seamstress of the Hills, Patcha lives the peaceful life she always dreamed of; tea in the morning, silk in the afternoon, and not a brother in sight. Bliss.

Patcha weaves beauty into every seam...but something unseen has started weaving back....

Punctuating Dialogue

➸ “This is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,” she said.
