They didn't know what was happening, no matter how many files and cases Bruce and Dick searched they couldn't find anything that sounded similar to what Danny was panicking about before he snapped out of it. The victims of similar cases were dead, rescued or missing and their descriptions and time didn't match Danny and his age.

No matter how long and how hard Tim and Barbara search the internet and hack databases they cant find anything strange, nothing about experiments or anything that Danny mentioned when he spiraled.

No matter how much Cass and Steph investigated and checked with their contacts they always reached a deadend.

As if Danny lived in two places at once.

Ok so I'm reading a fanfic rn and it's giving me an idea for a dpxdc crossover.

Ok so I'm thinking it's not safe for Danny in his world so clockwork pulls some strings and sets everything up for Danny to be Tim's non identical twin (theyre similar enough to pass) and he just appears in wayne manor right after Bruce gets out of the time stream.

Like I'm talking he has a room that's 'been lived in for years', he has memories of them and growing up with tim, he's acting like nothings new ect.

So he's all like "dad your back!" And they're all looking between tim and his double like "tim??? NOT tim????" And they come to the conclusion that Bruce fucked with the time stream and he spawned in.

They all feel guilty that they 'forgot' him even though they never knew him. Especially Tim, he would feel so bad if there was someone that went through what he did with their parents neglect and they only had each other, but Tim doesn't remember who this is.

He could be fully aware and is pretending so he's safe OR clockwork thought this would be for the best so he altered Danny's memories so he genuinely believes he's Tim's twin.

For the second option I like the ideas that he doesn't remember anything/he doesn't have access to his ghost half (either he has to heal from something his parents did or he can't handle the full power that comes with being ghost king) and he won't unlock his memories/powers till he dies again.

Which if he genuinely believed they were his family, and then they tell him he wasn't real a few days ago, that would probably fuck with his mind.

Danny honestly has no idea how he became a science professor to a bunch of kids in Gotham University where he works as a librarian...

Danny Nightingale is a 22 year old librarian who has been working at Gotham University for nearly 2 months now. he is currently raising a 5 year old de-aged (or not up to you) Dani, who prefers to be called that in order to start confusion and chaos, and a re-formed 14 year old Dan (he's stuck in a kids body or aging up slowly is up to you) who is attending Gotham U (maybe he's in the same class as Damian and they bond about stabbing??)

And even though Danny's just a librarian but after helping some kids with their science homework and protecting them in a rouge attacks, he's practically formed a club for any kid who needs help with anything, but mostly science and mental stability, Danny should really thank Jazz for all those lectures...

what about Sam and Tucker? are they scouring the internet trying to track down Danny to help him?

what about the ghosts and his rouge gallery? do they try to help him but got captured or did he trap them in the ghost zone before destroying the portals (using his host king authority if this is ghost king Danny AU)?

DPxDC Prompt

Danny is wanted by the united states government for terrorism, theft and destruction of government property, among other things. At least that was what was said on paper, what isn't stated is that he stole something from a GIW lab, destroyed all their facilities and research, blew up ever working portal into the ghost zone and all tech related to ghosts.

Batman is keeping the file open on the watchtower so any sightings can be cataloged and tracked, Danny Fenton is a unknown rogue that is not only dangerous, but his motives are also unknown making him unpredictable.

Which doesn't bode well when the scarce sightings point to the possibility that he is traveling to Gotham.

Danny meanwhile is desperate.

The GIW have discovered ghost Cores and were working on plans to harvest them to mass produce weapons with Cores as the main power sources.

It all started with his parents discovering his ghost half and separating him from his ghost half. He sat locked in a ghost proof case for "his own protection" as he watched them tear his ghost half apart molecule by molecule just like they promised, it only got worse when his ghost half was reduced to nothing more then a core and the GIW got involved.

Wanting full control of the findings the GIW demanded control of the Fenton Dr's research only to get denied and Danny once again was forced to watch as the GIW "dispatched" his parents and took his ghost half's Core and turned to him, the only witness. It took him months to escape and months more to return to destroy all the GIW had on Cores and the portals.

So now Danny is making his way to Gotham, the closest city saturated enough to heal his ghost half. With nothing but the blueprints he saved from his parents lab, his own Core in a locket around his neck and hope that the JLA don't track him down before his ghost half can heal enough to defend himself.
