A moment shortly after Jason’s death where I genuinely believe Bruce is experiencing some sort of ptsd flashback (Batman #452)

“Ears ringing. Covered… in blood. Baby plastic. Full of… Blood.”

“Corridor. Exploding all sides. Covered in…”

“Wet. All around me. Ears bursting.”

“Blood. Covered in…”

What gets me with this scene is that Batman doesn’t get affected by things like this to such an extreme degree. In normal circumstances he could have realized the baby was a fake and bounced back into pursuit. …But these aren’t normal circumstances. Less than a year earlier he buried his son. The baby isn’t just a baby to him now, it’s a recreation of his worst moment. The explosions, his ears ringing, the blood… This isn’t his first time experiencing these exact same sensations.

So when he goes “Come on, baby. Come on, I’m calling you…” which baby do you think he’s referring to?

Obsessed with the idea of battinson having a robin for reasons being that dick is and has always been a fashion disaster.

This kid is the brightest thing you’ll see no matter the occasion no matter the weather. Every day he insists on putting together his own outfits, Alfred is genuinely losing his will to live with each passing day.

He’ll wear neon tie dye leggings under blue gym shorts with a red spaceship sweater (colors an homage to his favorite superhero, sorry Bruce).

He’ll raid Bruce’s closet for a shirt or sweater, only to pair it with a highlighter yellow undershirt and honest to god jorts that just about come down low enough to meet the mismatched knee high socks he’s wearing.

He will be wrangled into a suit only to disappear and reappear somehow having procured purple tinted star shaped sunglasses and having swapped out his bow tie for a joke tie with green aliens that he tried and failed to tie properly. He will then assure a horrified Alfred that he will quite literally be the coolest guy at the party.

Now pair this with his wet cat foster father who’s just one bad texture away from becoming a permanent hermit. A man who only wears various shades of black but might try some grey if he’s feeling risky.

Imagine Bruce taking dick clothes shopping and standing there like some forsaken entity behind dick who rummages through the racks and takes every item off to show to him for his opinion. Dick will turn around to show him some loud video game character shirt and be like “well what do you think??” And Bruce will squint at it and grunt and dick will nod sagely and add it to the cart.

Anyways. Love those freaks.
