A Thing happened :/

If you read my author’s notes on my fics, you might’ve realised by now that I write a lot of my drafts on wattpad for the word-count. I was sorting through them the other day, and my wattpad freaked out 🥲

Unfortunately, that means I’ve lost two drafts of chapters — the second chapter of “less than three, you love me (typing out my fantasy)” and the third chapter of “Sleepily, Venus sinks and hollows”.

Apparently my wattpad hates when I write marauders :/

‼️This is a mini-rant from one of the end notes on my fic Hatchling‼️

I have a complicated relationship with Mitsuki, in that I believe she is canonically abusive (or, at least, a somewhat bad parent), but I don’t believe she’s as bad as some angst-centred fics make her out to be. She canonically hits Katsuki, victim-blames him, and (I have to assume) has yelled at him for most of his childhood. We see Katsuki saying some pretty cruel stuff as a young child — he had to have learnt that somewhere, especially at that age. I feel like the fandom often ignores Mitsuki’s treatment of Katsuki because A) she’s conventionally attractive, B) she’s shown to be looking through a photo album of Katsuki one(1) time, and C) they, for some reason, want to push the idea that Katsuki grew up with the perfect life, and that his clear struggle to regulate his emotions is somehow irrational?? First of, no one’s life is perfect. Secondly, abusers often ”love” their kids. I don’t think Mistuki’s a monster, I just think she can stand to be a better parent and not smack her kid so much 😭

Anyway, thought I’d just give my two cents 😭💛

I’ve been working on a fanfic in the same universe as 'JOYRIDE' for a month now (teaser on my TikTok), and I was writing it on one of my school’s computers, and just as I finished and was writing the notes for it… the computer fucking reset and deleted all of my unsaved work.

About 1000 words gone. 40 minutes of work gone.

It automatically deletes tomorrow. I am currently crying.

One of my favourite things when reading fanfiction is when you click with an author's style so much that you adore the fanfiction you're reading, and once it's over you need more. So you go to their page and hope that there's more for any fandom you might know- only there isn't any. They've written for other fandoms you aren't familiar with and never would've thought about before.
