Got back into my Harry Potter grind (read the books and started on the movies tonight), was looking at his scar and thought; "Huh... that looks familiar- I know it's supposed to be a lightning bolt but it looks like something I know."

Continued watching the movies as normal when I remembered "OH ITS A NORSE RUNE!" Don't ask how I know that it's a longer story. After a biiit of research I (re-)found out that it was the Sig-Rune, or Siegrune, or Sowilo. The meaning is "Sun", but in german it (Sig) means "Victory".

Along with this meaning, it has ties to the Nazi regime. Guido von List- who was not a Nazi, but heavily influenced the Nazi ideology by developing esoteric and racialist thought- renamed the rune to Sig in his list of "Armanen runes." The Siegrune became a prominent symbol during the Nazi era, specifically in the form of the Schutzstaffel- which was two Sig runes together translating to "Victory! Victory!"

So, not only was the symbol scarred on Harry's forehead a sign of HIS victory, but also a way to remind the people around him who did it. The Death Eaters are widely considered to be an allegory for the Nazis. This was Voldemorts way of saying "We will win, we will prevail, we will have victory."

In the books Voldemort is killed by his own rebounded Killing Curse hits him. It shows that the symbol of fear (Harry's scar) was exactly what killed him. He imprinted that rune onto Harry's head- he literally gave him a rune that would indicate his victory.

From the moment when Voldemort dies the symbol turned from one of fear, to one of triumph. It is a sign of the sun rising on the new era of wizardry. And a taunt, Voldemort was never going to win. A symbol of fear that scar would no longer be. It would be a reminder of their Victory.

Hc gojo sleeps with a satin eyemask. First off, itd help w his six eyes- like the blindfold. And second, do you think this man would sleep with just any old eyemask? This dude is hygienic. He gets his pillowcase and sheets washed every few weeks, intense shower routine, the works. His bedroom may or may not look like a medieval torture dungeon but you best believe his bed itself is the most comfy and skin pleasuring place on earth.

Also because he cant let people know hes slipping into the abyss more and more everyday! He has appearances to keep up, people. Cant catch the strongest with greasy hair, cause thatd show that he isnt taking care of himself- and he isnt. Not really. He doesnt have time for it.

I'm so sick of smut. Dont get me wrong, Im an occasional enjoyer as any tumblr user would be. However, it gets to a point where every piece of media I see around a character or show/movie is smut. Like I dont want to be horny all the time yk? I want to bawl my eyes out at fanart of gojo.

ESPECIALLY w gojo. I feel as though theres a trend amongst headcanoned trans masc characters. Like all the ones Ive seen theyve been so sweet and nice- specifically to women. I feel like the reason this is is because people dont see cis men being respectful to women often so people think itd be super out of character if a male character being nice to women was cis. (I really hope I dont sound like a bigot😭) Idk this thought just crossed my mind. Sry if this offends anybody

Was rewatching Blue Eye Samurai and thought about the difference between the sequences when Mizu and Taigen duel in the first episode. When Taigen envisions his strategy he sees all the ways he can win, and Mizu sees all the ways she could lose. Idk I like that little detail😼
