(since I started reading fanfic I developed appreciation for a canon based not on what it contains, fully realized, but on whether it contains small nuggets that can be polished into something good and/or tasty)

sometimes i forget canon jason isn’t like. unkillable. like i forget that death (2.0) is a real consequence to him. wym he’s not fluctuating between passively and actively suicidal and putting a gun to his head to see if it will stick sometimes

I read a post once where they argued he actually is unkillable in cannon. And knows it. They had four or five examples.

One is when he's hanging from a bridge and Nightwing is trying to haul him up and he's like I don't want your help I will come back and he lets go. (no clue which comic it's from though)

SecUnit and the burrower hostile in the very beginning of the first book.

Also I realized my first sketch of SecUnit in its armor is much too thin and it would be much bulkier in armor. Because of the bulk of the armor itself (so I should get used to drawing its body before I draw the armor, good to know). But now I have this headcanon that seeing it out of armor was super weird for the crew because wtf it's got a face, but also because it's 20% leaner than it was in armor.
