Since we're angst-posting in the Acceleracers tag, how did Vert not seem to notice that Alec was missing? I mean, they were best friends, right? Vert was the one who got Alec involved in the first place. Did they have a falling out before Alec was recruited again by Tezla? Was Vert too busy hanging out with a new crowd (the Teku)? Did the money play a factor? Becoming a multimillionaire before graduating highschool could have changed Alec as a person. And what about Alec's parents? They must have been freaking out when their teenage son came home with a new car and a check for $5 million only to disappear a few months later.

Happy Pride Month to the character who single-handedly made me realize that I am trans: Luka Couffaine!
