Percy who knew he'd fall apart the moment he isn't working. Percy who was pushing himself to keep going, mourning them will make it feel more real and the wound more raw. Percy who pushed his friends away. The rest of the seven who just let it happen, to bust mourning their own way. Percy who brushed of any worry directed his way. Percy who always wears long sleeves and jeans to cover his scars, least he start a flashback (panic attack his mind whispers). Percy who made a deal with Hecate. Hecate called it a favor she owed her champion. Percy knew it was Hazel. She was the hardest to push away. Percy who lands in Twisted wonderland in NRC. Percy who no longer is different because everyone is different. Percy who is no longer the strongest. He feels relief at this, now no one will turn to him to fight for them. Percy who slowly starts to feel ok. Percy who finally feels safe enough to mourn. Percy who has friends who wouldn't let themselves be pushed or shut out. Percy who now has actual friends. Not bonds forged through war and blood. Percy who made fast friends with the Octavinelle crew over the fact that he can breath and control water. Percy who feels safe. Percy who made friends with Vargas over competitions over who's stronger. Percy who bakes with Trey. Percy who feels welcomed instead of forced to be there. Percy who bonded over war stories and cooking lessons with Lilia (not that the cooking lessons worked that much). Percy who is happy.
