Edward Hart is hands down the funniest character in the game. He's a vampire from Eastern Europe. He's over 400 years old. He looks like a twink. He has no idea what a credit card is. He came to Japan for a holiday once, allegedly got captured and has just been leeching off of Darkwick's wifi ever since. He could probably leave at any time. The staff are scared of him. He's the most elegant man you've ever met. He lives in his own filth. He's deep into conspiracy theories on youtube. He doesn't know how to press play. He has a breeding kink. He may very well be a cuck. His bones are so sore. He once destroyed an entire building. I can't remember if they specificed how long he's been there for but iirc he has been held back. He could have been there for decades. He has black mold growing in his room. He doesn't take out his own rubbish. He relies on his best friend to clean up after him. Everything he does is for the love of drama. Every other ghoul besides Rui he interacts with hates him. His texts. The way he flies into the auditorium as a bat, casually drops the kykylos bombshell, and then flies off. He gets mildly inconvenienced by his arm being torn off. He's horny all the time. He belongs in a nursing home. He's a lazy bum. He's one of the most powerful characters we know of in TKDB.

He shares his first name with the vampire from Twilight.

Leona sits on the grass in the courtyard alone most days he’s in the castle. No one wants to come up to him as they pass by him in the overhang, but the glares he gets shoved he can feel regardless. They’ve decided collectively to stop setting foot into the courtyard altogether, just in case he can’t control himself one day. Like he’d do something to them just because. Just for fun.

The birds sing to him as he sits there, fidgeting with the potted plants and waiting for someone to tell him off another time this week. They don’t want him ruining their pride and joy, not when his brother is hosting an event next week. An event that he won’t be attending very much of, no doubt.

He feels like one of the birds his brother has in the aviary, one of the dull ones that has one detail that sticks out about them. A bird that has no ability to escape and nowhere to go, with its wings clipped and the air around it stale.

One day, Leona thinks to himself as he stares up at the sky through the trees as the birds chirp to him one last time, calling out for him. One day I’ll grow wings.

He sits there, envious of the two birds as they fly off without him, making him wonder what he has to do to be like that.

To be free.
