I recall seeing someone else say that Glisten is smarter than Rodger, but I propose a different idea for the Detective Gang dynamic, comprised of Glisten, Rodger, Teagan, Brightney, and, of course, Toodles. This is a long one, but. It's a long one. Hopefully not too long.
Glisten is spur-intelligent. If you're getting chased down by a scary guy in a costume in an old abandoned factory, Glisten's gonna be the guy to pour soap on the floor, tie a bag of feathers to the ceiling, and place a barrel at the end of the hallway and trap the guy. He could get you out of a puzzle room in 10 minutes tops. He's quick-on-his-feet kind of intelligent, every situation comes with a new plan.
Rodger, on the hand, is analytical-intelligent, he's better at over-arching mysteries. Set up the cork board with a thousand red strings, three days, a pound of coffee, and a total disregard for sleep and he'll tie a paper clip, a spare shoe lace, and a window broken from the inside to the old abandoned factory on the other side of town. He'll guess the twist ending of every piece of mystery media you show him.
Teagan is socially-intelligent. She has connections, and entrances into many powerful people's lives, and she knows how to dance around social situations. She'll make anyone slip up, just for a second too long, and hound them on it until they bend too far and break. She hears paper clip, spare shoe lace, broken window, and abandoned factory and knows the old baron has a longstanding grudge on a retired muckraker who exposed his factory's lack of safety regulations and got it shut down.
Brightney is trivia-intelligent. She's read a thousand books and knows a thousand things, she's just not yet experienced enough to put it all together. Not as fast as Glisten, not as invested as Rodger, not as collected as Teagan, but she always has the specific information you need. A ridiculously specific type of knot to tie that bag of feathers to the ceiling? She knows it. Gotta skedaddle to the abandoned factory to catch the guy in the act? Brightney knows a guy. The exact placement of a barrel for someone to slip into perfectly? She worked out a math problem like that just last night. Glisten comes up with the plans, but Brightney is why they work.
Toodles, to top it all off, is imaginatively-intelligent. She hears all the facts and spins a tale, with excellent storytelling as an added bonus. Even if she's not told all the facts, because she's a kid, or even understand it, because she's a kid, she'll still connect the paperclip to stolen filings, the shoelace to a scuffle, and the broken window to a careful entrance but a careless exit. She'll mention something completely revolutionary offhandedly like it's obvious and reframe the entire case. Rodger connects the mystery, Teagan connects the narrative, but Toodles connects the scenes.

The LU Chain vs Therapy
Why would I need therapy? I'm perfectly fine!: Wind, Hyrule
Therapy? I don't need that! I'll be fine after I spend some time out in the woods and maybe destroy some things!: Hyrule, Wild, Twilight
I mean I definitely need help but I don't think a therapist is gonna fix me: Legend
I don't care if I need it. I'm not going and you can't make me: Warriors, Legend
Maybe I used to need it, but I've worked things out myself and am just fine for it: Time
I do my own therapy. I journal, meditate, and take care of myself just fine: Four, Sky
I am actively going to therapy: Warriors (his Zelda did make him)

Robin!Jason Todd tried secretly listening to an audiobook one night because crime was super slow and there was a stakeout and he had to keep an eye on everything, but it’s boring.
It worked out well, so he starts doing it more often.
Sometimes he doesn’t get the chance to turn it off or tune it out during a fight, so he then sometimes ends up reacting to the book out loud involuntarily, like saying “what?!” and “no!” in front of bad guys.
It still goes on for another couple weeks until Batman figured out what’s been going on and bans audiobooks on patrols.
(Jason still does it during stakeouts. It’s not patrol)

i'm sorry why is it easier to find information and headcanons about gilderat than nobleflower? a ship that has been around for at least a few years now? why do we give so much thought to the boys and their ships even if they're crack ships and completely ignore the female characters? sigh.

au where marinette's parents own a small, struggling, but community-loved bakery outside of paris. she works after school and on weekends since her parents can't currently afford to hire any other employees, but she enjoys getting to know everyone in her neighborhood and uses her tip money to fund her sewing projects.
as the end of her junior high days approach, marinette is encouraged by her parents to apply to her dream high school, françoise dupont lycée of the arts, as a fashion student. she doesn't expect to actually get accepted, but knows her parents are right when they say there's no hurt in trying. after submitting her online store portfolio, where she does commissions and launches small projects like accessories, she receives feedback that the school board was beyond impressed with her work and would like to offer her a full-ride scholarship.
although it's hard for her to part from her parents for the first time in her life, they refuse to let her turn down the opportunity and practically pack her bags for her. after a very long and painful goodbye with lots of promises to call every single day, marinette leaves for paris.
she meets alya, her roommate and first friend at her new school. she's the daughter of a successful chef and is a promising journalist and creative writing student, she and marinette share many of their core subjects not relating to their majors.
marinette also meets chloé, the daughter of the mayor of france and alya's life-long enemy. the two go way back, with alya's mother being an old friend of chloe's father and having worked at his hotel restaurant before. the hate each other, and by association, chloé hates marinette — especially after finding out marinette is a fellow fashion major whose work scored much higher than her own.
then she meets adrien. adrien is a fellow fashion and modeling student who was eagerly accepted into the school despite his very late application. however, the principal was thrilled at the idea of having such a beloved model joining the student body, and didn't want to deal with chloé's threats of action if adrien was denied, so he was accepted with open arms.
adrien didn't exactly choose his majors, but rather just went along with what was expected of him. he already had a successful modeling career, so he took the classes despite there being little he didn't already know and have mastered. he was encouraged to join fashion classes as well, both by adults who assumed he was going to take after his father and by his best friend who wanted to spend as much time with him as possible.
adrien is easily impressed with just about every design marinette crafts and marinette admits it's a bit endearing the way adrien struggles to figure out where the sewing machine's on switch is. his father is equally impressed, if not even more so, and marinette is asked to become a paid intern upon winning a contest judged by gabriel agreste.
not to mention the kind old man she befriends, an older chinese man who owns a tea shop in petite asie. marinette admits to feeling a bit alienated without her mother, worried her classmates will look at her funny for cooking guangxi rice in the dorm kitchen or having late night gossip sessions on the phone in mandarin. he tells marinette she will always have a friend while in paris and that she's more connected to the city than she thinks.
eventually, marinette even finds herself befriending almost all of her classmates, and even one of her classmate's brothers. juleka couffaine is a modeling major and a fellow scholarship student, something she and marinette bond over. luka is just as sweet as his sister, and almost as quiet if you ignore his constant humming and guitar strumming.
he also applied to be a music major at françoise dupont, but was rejected. after a year of struggling and being bullied in public school, he dropped out to focus on working and supporting his family — taking some of the burden away from his single mother and making sure juleka never has to go without. throughout the course of their relationship, marinette is eventually able to discover the ridiculous reasons why luka wasn't accepted and encourages him to go back to school, as well as accept that he can't support his family if he doesn't let them support him as well (a lesson she also had to learn).

Transfem Boyfriend or as I like to call her Girlfriend2. Open to better name suggestions as long as they fit the "Boyfriend/ Girlfriend" naming scheme.
She/her's only for this post I hope you can understand Why.
Timelapse under the cut. :)
[Video Description: A timelapse of the art above. The song in the background is "Why Would I?" by nelward; specifically the stretch from 0:09 to 1:20. The lyrics featured are typed out below. End Description]
"Why would I even sleep at all if I couldn't be by your side? Why would I even dream at all if I couldn't dream on your time? I can feel, feel, all your loving all the time I can feel, feel Like I'm a falling leaf Inside your whispering wind Each time I touch the ground You lift me up again I only need your touch To make my sweet ascend Why would I even sleep at all? Why would I even dream at all? Why would I even be at all if I couldn't be on your mind?"

TMA fans please correct me if i'm wrong, but- is there ever a time martin outright tells john not to call himself a monster, or something similar? I can't remember a single time it happens canonically, but i know it's a thing folks like to sprinkle into fanart and fanfic. And if he really does never say anything like that...that's either really bittersweet (martin loves john *despite* him being a monster, but if john were to bring it up martin could very well lie to johns face) OR. martin doesn't bring it up because he doesnt want to give up his earned title of monsterfucker

I think Ichor is actually EXTREMELY colorful. All the Toons have to get their colors from somewhere, after all. It's just so darned dense with those colors that it turns into, an admittedly gorgeous and deep, black instead. But if you look close enough, if you press your face in against one of the glass of a capsule or machine, and you can see the light reflecting a thousand new shades.

Cody headcanons Pt. 1
Loves when his name is pronounced properly, in the original drawn-out Mando'a syllables that he intended to become his name; it makes him feel like more than just a soldier, especially in a galaxy that seems disgusted with the mere idea of his existence outside of the context of war.
Cannot, for the life of him, understand Master Kenobi's fascination with things that creep and crawl. Geonosis was enough to give Cody nightmares every time he so much as caught sight of any sort of bug throughout his day, whether sentient or not – and this took months of avoidance, and then, with the General's guidance, meditation, to overcome. Despite his impressive rank (and brave face), Cody refuses to let a bug touch him, even through the plastoid armor that is capable of deterring more than a silken web or any stinger. If and when his brothers aren't around to poke fun, Cody doesn't hesitate to comm his Jedi to the rescue. And when Obi-Wan breezes in, cloaks and childlike wonder flowing after him, Cody's fear ebbs just slightly, just enough to make room for a profound admiration reserved for the man negotiating with the mantid on the Commander's pillow.
Hardly ever participates when his brothers invite him out to 79s, even when he is graced with extended leave from combat. It's not that he doesn't enjoy the camaraderie, he does, but when he finally has the opportunity to take up his own space, fill his time how he chooses.. well, it's a rare taste of freedom that he can't deny himself. As far as he knows, this could be the last time his feet are on solid ground, and he prefers to savor it rather than to drink it away; he wants to remember distinctly what the warm pull of gravity and the sun on his bare skin feels like if he were to perish in the cold fingers of space, alone, far from the rays of any solar body needed to support life.
As an extension to this, when Cody is not on the battlefront and peace is allowed to pervade, he enjoys lounging around his quarters in nothing but boxers. At all times. Rarely will the presence of a visitor provoke him to jump into his blacks, and this is always for the sake of the other person. (A brother will never intimidate him into discomfort; Obi-Wan, however..) The military-issued garments could be suffocating at times; it's not that they ever made him lose focus on the mission, but when given the opportunity, he rolled them off quick and let his skin breathe. Sweat and grime would be glued to his lab-grown, war-torn body after each battle; sometimes, there'd be blood from a wound he had purposely kept hidden in order to just be alone. Once out of the eyes of his men and his General, naked and clean, he could inspect the damage his body and mind had taken himself.
To piggyback yet again: Cody has a hard time asking for help. Like, physically cannot utter the phrase, "Please help me." It stems back to Kamino, his days as a cadet, and the things he was programmed to believe and do. Self-sufficiency, dominance, strategizing through any obstacle, putting the mission above himself.. these were qualities of a good soldier that were ingrained in Cody from birth (if that's what it could be called), and Cody is nothing if not a good soldier. When stumped on coming up with a new battlefield strategy on a whim, or when pressed into a wall by droids without a single shot left to defend himself, he is quicker to accept that this is what the Force had planned for his ending than to distract another man from the larger goal; anticlimactic, but far less so than fallen Jedi he had heard stories about. It makes his cloned heart pang to think of another soul, especially a brother, being torn from the galaxy for his sake.
