you're folded over. he's staring. 

“… you said you wanted to learn,” he says, like that justifies it.

he means well. he even tries to make it fun. like, “here, try to get the ball from me.” 

you do. 

he doesn’t let you. 

he’s barely moving and you still can’t catch him. 

he yawns, juggles it over your head, and scores while scratching the back of his neck. 

you just stand there, blinking.

is so excited to teach you. gives you a whole rundown. drills. stretches. strategies. 

then he forgets to dial it down and tackles you like it’s the world cup. 

you hit the grass and stare at the sky.

really tries to be gentle. like he even speaks softer. explains things carefully. 

but the moment he takes a shot to demo proper form? 

it tears through the net.

“… i'll, uh… use less strength next time,” he says, rubbing the back of his neck.

flirty coach energy. keeps touching your shoulders like “relax, baby ~ soccer’s all about the hips.” 

then immediately forgets himself and goes full striker mode the second you try to take the ball. 

you fall. again. 

he drops to the grass next to you like, “you okay? want mouth-to-mouth?” 

you smack his arm. 

he grins. “so you're not that injured.” 

itoshi sae 

you said you wanted to learn. he showed up in full gear. 

he watches you dribble once, tilts his head, and says, “that’s cute.” 

next thing you know, he casually flicks the ball past you, nutmegs you, and scores without blinking. 

you stare. 

he just shrugs. “maybe soccer’s not for you.” 

he does buy you lunch afterward, though. that’s his version of affection. 

shidou ryusei

you expected guidance. support. maybe a little flirting. 

“okay, stand there. try to block me,” he says, grinning. 

you take your stance. 

he charges at you like a bull. you immediately regret everything. 

he fakes left, spins right, throws in a random front flip for fun, and launches the ball straight into the net so hard it bounces back and hits you in the chest. 

you wheeze and drop to the ground. 

he laughs. laughs. 

“you okay, baby? that looked like it hurt. but hey, at least you looked cute dying.” 

you threaten to hit him with the ball. 

he tells you he’d let you, as long as you call him “coach” first. 

kaiser michael

you say “can you teach me soccer?” 

kaiser smirks. “only if you can handle greatness, schatz.” 

you should’ve known. 

he spends the first ten minutes making fun of your stance. mimics you with exaggerated arms and waddles like a penguin. 

you try to kick the ball. he sidesteps it like you’re in slow motion. 

you try to block him. he rainbow flicks over your head and pats your shoulder on the way past you. 

the disrespect. 

“that was cute,” he grins, brushing his hair back. “but maybe you should just watch me instead. it's safer for your pride.” 

you try to smack him. he dodges and winks. 

then he scores a goal, points at you, and says, “that one was dedicated to your downfall, liebe.”

ness alexis

"don’t worry, i’ll go easy on you," he says with the most patronizingly sweet smile you've ever seen. 

you blink. “you said that last time and i ended up face-first in the grass.” 

he giggles. “that was your balance issue, not my fault.” 

he insists on doing “basic footwork drills” with you. sounds safe, right? wrong. 

within five minutes, you’re dizzy. he’s doing little feints and twirls around you like it’s a figure skating routine. you can’t even tell where the ball is anymore. 

when you finally manage to poke the ball away from him, you celebrate – 

but he steals it back immediately, nutmegs you, and flicks it into the goal like it was nothing. 

“aww, almost!” he says, clapping like a soccer mom. “i believe in you! well, kind of…” 

you throw a cone at him. he ducks and giggles again. 

“was that an attempt at offense? cute!”

Real quick, Kaijin is short for "怪人☆仮面マスク", "Kaijin☆Kamen Masuku", or "Mystery Person☆Mask Mask". Yes, Mask is said twice, once in Japanese and once in English, and it's not the only thing like this in this case. KB Security is called "KB警備", "KB Keibi", so it sounds like "Security Security" in Japanese.

Anyway, onto the famous line:

This is the word Maya uses, "Medachitagariya".

Alas, it doesn't have the same crudeness or slangy-ness as "attention whore". From my own sleuthing, the word that would be closest to "attention whore" in Japanese would be "��ってちゃん" or "Kamatte-chan". "Kamatte" from "Kamau", meaning "to mind" or "to matter", and "-chan" being the cutesy (and in this case, maybe condescending) honorific. Even so, it's still not as crude, I think.

Forsaken; Gonna be honest, I never played but I did listen to the old lore a lot and like to read up on news occasionally. I wanna play but my socially anxious ass will not cooperate with strangers around... Even in a game... (Not gonna stop me from participating in the fandom though)

Block Tales; Finally fully played it but @starryessence2 kindly offered me an overview early on so I've got both now lol (Excited for demo 5!)

The Apothecary Diaries; I have no idea where to read the manga for free but I'm watching the anime in dub because I need it in he background to watch while I multi-task but I make sure to see each new dubbed episode as soon as it comes out!

Cat Cafe Manager; I played it too much, I need to ramble-

Little Nightmares(1&2); Love the little sillies and watched plenty playthroughs but I'm too much of a coward to play because I scare easily (╥_╥)

Fnaf; Again, too much of a coward but watched playthroughs(Especially our lord and saviour Markiplier) and love the fandom, y'all were among the first fandoms I got into when I found out what fandoms were and I was met with so many wonderful people.

I want to make a few more drawings + posts talking about Aleyxi as a character, but this is a pretty good run through of her basic forms.

She slides between "mostly normal tiger" and "chunky feline dragon" pretty easily, and her weight and dragon-ness are pretty closely intertwined. She's a creature of magic, some sort of demoness, and doesn't really need physical food to sustain herself. But she really likes physical food anyway. Unless she's doing some pretty extreme magic, that excess energy from food just uh. Goes into storage, so to speak. Ironically, the most energy-intensive magic she normally does is hiding the results of her gluttony.

She can use this same shape-changing magic on others as well, which can definitely lead to some fun situations with friends. Eventually I'll get a couple of those scenarios up on here ;)

Vaggie yawned as she sprawled her wings out across the mattress. What she used to see as something horrible– a constant unwavering reminder of her gruesome past– was now something that she openly embraced. Most merely presumed she showed up in Hell with them since they didn't inherently look exactly like exterminator wings, so, hey, that was a definitive plus if anyone curious stumbled past.

Vaggies’ back ached slightly, strained from her previous workouts and strenuous activities. Through babysitting most of the Hotel residents to try to fix her fighting style with the help of Carmilla as her mentor, sometimes it got tiring. But one thing she could always look forward to at the end of the day was her girlfriend. Her beautiful, excellent, talented, outstanding girlfriend– who was also conveniently the Princess of Hell. But, sometimes, Vaggie failed to realize just how serious Charlie's status within the underworlds’ hierarchy was. After all, she interacted with Charlie just as she would anyone else; if not obviously much sweeter, and that was only because she was the best person in the world. Who wouldn't treat Charlie with utmost respect and love? Crazy people, Vaggie mused. The woman was a bundle of sunshine– it was hard to dislike her shining radiance. Charlie's idealism and bubbly attitude clearly set her apart from most other Inhabitants of Hell, which was one of Vaggie's favorite things about the demoness.

Vaggie flipped on her side, heavy eyelashes fluttering as her eyes opened, a flicker of illumination entering her pupils and catching her off guard as she saw the door to the bedroom slowly creak open, casting a line of soft, dull light across the carpet floor of her quarters. Vaggie’s first instinct was to reach for the angelic spear she kept by her bed at all times– soldier instincts, she endearingly deemed her first reactions to any possible threat– but she didn't. Vaggie wouldn't dare draw a blade on the person she loved the most, even if she was damn well considering it for the first few weeks following their first meeting. That all felt like such a blur, such a long, long time ago. It was both sweet and sad at the same time; the overbearing nostalgia was an overwhelming feeling that was foreign every time Vaggie experienced it, no matter how many times she was pulled through it.

The moth-like demon stretched slightly, a soft smirk spreading across her lips, which were still tainted with her typical black lipstick. Vaggie used her arm to perk her head up, resting her elbow on the mattress as she willed herself into a more comfortable position. “Hey, hon.” Vaggie greeted Charlie gently, tone as delicate as always.

“Heya, babe!” Charlie cheerfully mirrored the welcoming, despite hers being far more chipper and upbeat. It usually always was. She had an affinity for being loud; Charlie felt like she got to others easier that way! The princess bounded across the room, shutting the door behind her with her foot and flicking on the lamp with her index fingers, smooth black fingernails brushing across her girlfriend's forehead and swiping away any stray hair as she placed a kiss to her cheek.

Vaggie chuckled in response, scooting over to make room for her girlfriend on the bed. Charlie sat down and was immediately transfixed by her girlfriend's wings. They were always so beautiful to her– soft, feathery, and absolutely adorable! Everything that Charlie cherished, but especially the adorable-ness. Obviously, she had a clear affinity for things of that nature. Charlie got to work expertly running her fingers through the feathers, preening them with her delicate fingertips, mirroring the actions she'd been taught by her girlfriend. Charlie of course had wings, just like her father– but she disliked them. She never thought they fit with her overall demeanor, and were far too flashy for her personal liking. Charlie had a strong dislike for coming across as threatening, and strived to avoid drastic changes in her appearance like that to stay as gentle-looking as possible. “Your wings are so pretty, Vaggie,” Charlie complimented. “They fit you.”

Vaggie immediately rested her head on the pillow, lulled into ultimate relaxation as her girlfriend gently got to work preening her wings. She smiled further at the array of compliments spewing from Charlie's mouth, though most of them were drowned out by her state of rest. Usually, Vaggie never had time to truly settle down like this; it almost always felt like she was bouncing from one place to another, straying far away from one thing or pulling another closer. It was a busy life schedule, especially when she had to pertain to the Hazbin Hotel and its residents, but the gleeful grin on Charlie's face always made the hard work and raw effort worth it in the end.

“You're prettier than any old wing, Charls,” Vaggie retorted softly, paired with a chuckle under her breath. Charlie beamed, a bright toothy smile spreading across her face, enveloping her round features. “I wouldn't trade anything for you, you know that?” Vaggie continued, pressing her cheek into the fabric case of the pillow.

“I don't know about that. You're like, the prettiest thing in the history of pretty things!” Charlie responded, chipper as ever. That earned a chuckle from Vaggie. “I'm serious! You're gorgeous, Vaggie. I love you more than anything.”

like saying whenever he holds this person and they're being intimate be feels like he's going crazy. which for the sake of This particular conversation would strike out paul turning down his advances if this song Is about him. and I can't see it being about yoko (they famously hadn't fucked yet by this point) or cynthia (the desperate nature of it & the love interest's insistence that john has to be joking about how much they're doing his head in just doesn't match w their relationship).

I think it Could be about yoko if they lied about the timeline of their affair which is entirely possible. but they were so like open with the fact that it started as cheating that I can't imagine saying they started cheating earlier would have been an issue if they did. although they did both put a lot of importance into the narrative of two virgins so who knows really

Mercs with an S/o who has severe trypanophobia

Cw: Needles, trypanophobia

Scout

Scout acts like he isn't afraid of needles himself and says they're not that bad, but in reality he has a fear of them too. So, he isn't too confused about his S/o's phobia.

Distracts his S/o by doing tricks and small stunts to get their mind off of the fact that they're getting a shot. Even if it rarely works or doesn't work at all, Scout doesn't give up on his S/o.

If they freak out, Scout freaks out too and there's not a chance either of them calm down. After a single appointment, Scout completely understands just how much his S/o is freaked out by needles. Also, they both go out to get something to eat to put the appointment behind them.

Soldier

Doesn't really understand why his S/o is so afraid of needles, like, not at all. He's seen and experienced way worse than a single, little prick to the skin and he doesn't understand what his S/o finds so scary in it.

Even if Soldier doesn't understand their fear, he still comes to appointments at their request. While he remains non-bothered, his S/o internally worries.

When Soldier actually sees how afraid his S/o is and how they cling to him for dear life, he goes wild and throws away and destroys all needles on sight.

Pyro

Is afraid of needles too, though not as much as their S/o. Pyro doesn't completely freak out, they're just a bit nervous. So when their S/o tells them they have a phobia of needles, they feel very sympathetic.

They try gifting their S/o a plush toy they can hold while getting a shot, maybe something to squeeze or pet while trying to stay calm. Sometimes that plush can be Pyro! They're more than happy to see their S/o overcome their anxiety even a little bit for the better good.

Pyro even tries to motivate their S/o by sucking up their own fear of getting shots and try to show that it's not so bad. Doesn't matter if it actually encourages their S/o or not, they're not forcing them to at all.

Demoman

Not a big fan of needles either. Though it's just a feeling of uneasy-ness and he shies away from the doctor if he needs to get a shot. So, he understands his S/o's fear of needles.

Demo might try to reason with the doctor if there's any way for him to hold his S/o still as they get their shot. It's all for their better health, even though he does feel a bit bad about restraining his S/o.

Demo praises his S/o and lets them know how proud he is of them after an appointment. All he wants to see is his S/o trying to live peacefully with their phobia and even overcome it a tiny bit, so he'll make sure he helps them in that journey.

Heavy

A big, tough man like him can't understand why his S/o is scared of needles which are just quick little pokes in their skin to make them feel better.

Heavy has to hold his S/o in a bear hug every time they go to a doctor's or Medic's office, mainly to catch them if they faint and to hold them still if a fight response gets triggered. They're clinging onto him like their life depends on it.

If his S/o freaks out, Heavy tries to keep them still with his strength, but secretly feels guilty about it. To try to calm them down to endure the prick to their skin, he speaks to them in Russian in a comforting voice to divert their attention.

Engineer

It takes a little while for Engineer to understand his S/o's fear of needles because he's a practical man, but he gets there.

He tries to reason with his S/o, trying to tell them that it's just to make them feel better but he eventually understands it's something more than just a fear.

If he's allowed, he'll hold his S/o's hand to keep them calm when they get a shot. Engie really only understands how bad his S/o's phobia is when he has to handle them as they're hyperventilating and panicking.

Medic

He doesn't know why his S/o freezes up and doesn't respond to him when they stumble into his lab. He stares at them in confusion before realizing what he has on a stool right next to him.

Medic scurries to hide them in a cabinet and welcomes his S/o in. If they've gone into a panicked state, he tries his best to calm them down

If his S/o wants to spend time with him but he's performing a surgery and needs to use a needle, he motions with his hand for his S/o to look away. Though they can still get a bit nervous.

Overall, it's made him dapper up his lab for his S/o to not freak out. Maybe he understands and doesn't understand his S/o's fear of needles at the same time because "It's just a little prick", but he tries, that's what matters.

Sniper

Sniper kind of understands his S/o's fear of needles because he's not the biggest fan of them either. Not to the point of being terrified but more like a slightly displeased feeling of when he needs a shot.

Will come to his S/o's appointments just to make them feel more safe. Sniper can only pull them closer to himself when they grip his forearm.

Awkwardly fumbles when his S/o actually freaks out and tries to calm them down by soothing them and petting their scalp. If he needs to, he will hold his S/o so they can get their shot.

Spy

Spy mostly understands why they're afraid, he's sort of the most understanding too, because he knows phobias can't easy to overcome and can't be controlled at times.

Promises his S/o to give them something nice like chocolates and stuff after an appointment. Basically, if his S/o tries to overcome their anxiety, even if it's just them shaking but not completely freaking out, he congratulates them and praises them that they tried to do something about their phobia.

If his S/o starts to panic because they've been exposed to needles, Spy will be quick to react and will try to calm them down the best way he can. He mainly talks French to them in a soothing voice to try to calm them down and reason with them.

TEAM BIRDTRESS 4/9: MEDIC!

(No archimedes’ we’re harmed in the making of this art!)

Medic: the bearded vulture. Okay I admit this one lives a little south of Germany but in my defense its traits fit medic so well I couldn’t resist. They’re one of the most likely vultures to actually hunt live prey, and also will drop them from great heights to stun them. They’re a white color initially (like a doctors coat anyone? Hello???) but will color themselves with red dust that looks stunningly like blood. They particularly like bones of animals the most and will drop them from great heights like their prey for the sake of their marrow, and the skills they have towards cracking them open takes years for chicks to master (he literally stole a man’s skeleton and medicine like that takes years to practice) also he’s a vulture and has all the premonitions of death and cleanliness that come with? Like helloooo so good. Yes he doesn’t have a tail visible from here but I gave him cool ass bearded vulture eyes.

Sniper is next! And past him I don’t have a planned order so please do ask for who should follow. Pyro has a finished sketch, and I know what demo’s sketch will be though.

I think I’m really leveling up my feather rendering game during this whole thing at least, but my hands hurt like a motherfucker. Fuck you rain.

I’ll be honest I kind of knew immediately what medic would be, the range wasn’t quite right but I just couldn’t imagine medic as another vulture. Also, he doesn’t have a tail visible in this image, but assume it’s behind his coat, because I didn’t want to figure out the pov logistics, and coat logistics, of having it in the coat. As a reparation, he does have the cool red and blue bearded vulture eyes bc I love them. I really don’t have a lot of musings on him this time. I had a less dramatic pose before this with a similar comp but I decided I wanted to up the drama and sinister ness and so I went for the dramatic perspective version. Sorry archimedes I pro is medic won’t eat u tho still <3
