Deflector Shield

A Shielding and Protection Spell to deflect negativity, other spells, and other negative things from you

-For this spell, a source of energy is required. I made a small sachet/ charm that I carry with me and recharge and redo as often as I need to. The instructions for that will be included. So the sachet is the first portion of the spell.-

Part One- The Sachet and Power Source

What You’ll Need (For the sachet and energy source)

A crystal (I recommend clear quartz, It is what I used, and is generally a wonderful gem to use for energy work purposes.)

A protective herb. (I used Basil, two full leaves, as always because it rocks. And sweet basil smells awesome.) Though other protective herbs work.

A small piece of white cloth, large enough to hold the gem and herb.

Thread of any color, to tie the sachet together.

What To Do (Charging the energy source!)

Start with charging your crystal. I set mine on my altar for two weeks, lit a candle next to it every day for at least a half hour, opened the curtains so that both moon and sunlight could reach it, and as often as I could, poured some of my own energy and intent for protection into the crystal itself.

Make the sachet by placing the cloth flat, then the herbs you’ve chosen (this is why leaves are easier, as they will wrap up around the crystal, though leaves are not necessary. Chopped works just as well, or even sprigs) followed by the crystal.

Tie up the bundle, closing it with the string or thread. Make it portable if you can.

Carry it in your pocket or purse, or wear it as a necklace. Visualize your connection to it. It is a source of energy you can tap into, turn on and off as you need to.

Repeat as necessary. If you feel there is no energy left in the bundle, remake it, or open it and replace the herbs, cleanse and recharge the crystal. Wash the cloth or get a new piece.

Part Two- Arming Your Shield

-Now we come to the turning on and activating the shield. If you’ve never made an energy shield, or worked with forming energy, I recommend basic energy work before doing this. It can be taxing, and rather exhausting stuff.-

What You’ll Need

Yourself, your energy, other energy you can manipulate or Inversely the aforementioned made and charged sachet

What To Do

First you must connect to the energy source you are using. Is it your own energy? The sun? The moon? Or a source like the charged sachet you made?

Visualize if you will, a string of light connecting you to the energy source, or other similar form of connection to it. Next, you’re going to activate the shield. Or form it, if you’ve done this sort of thing before.

When you connect to your energy source, you should feel it. In some cases it will be obvious (i.e. the warmth of the sun on your skin, the light from the moon and stars, etc.) other times it will take effort to feel this connection.

Once you do, let if flow into you. Now that you’ve got control of the energy, visualize it forming into a shield. If you’re using external energy (again using the sun example) visualize that warmth coating your body, forming a layer of light around you, like an aura just above your skin.

If you’re using a sachet or other similar energy source, pull the energy from it slowly, weaving a web around yourself in the same manner as the above, forming a layer around your entire body.

Visualize this shield as something you can turn on and off. Something that will come from the sachet, or the sun, or other energy source as you need it. (hence the carrying of the sachet!)

When it is ‘on’ or ‘active’ visualize it as a layer of pulsating light that reflects things you find negative and harmful away.

this may take several attempts, especially if you’ve never really done energy work before. You can shape the shield however you need to, be it into something over a specific area of your body, a full body aura-like shield, or a dome to encompass those close to you. Though this can be extremely taxing!
