Honestly I think he probably skateboards around campus to get to his classes, not that many of the foxes pay that much attention. They honestly probably didn't notice it until Kevin found out.

They lived in the same room, even then it took an embarrassingly long time for him to notice. Aaron didn't try to hid it necessarily, but it wasn't anyone's business.

Kevin would be the only person to make any soft of big deal about it, grumbling about the risk of injury because he doesn't want to lose a competent backliner over a pebble.

He tried to tell Wymack, who basically said it was good at least one of them had hobbies and that Aaron needed to find something to do with his time besides school and murder.

However, he doesn't have the most time for going to skate parks and doing tricks like he used to. It was how he desteessed in high school, but Exy and pre-med leave him a little more busy.

He skateboards a lot over the summer and tells Kevin that's his off season work out. (Kevin hates it) Nicky asked him to teach him to skateboard and nearly broke his face.

He still insists he wants to learn but Aaron said no.

Aaron does try to teach Katelyn though because she asked nicely. She's decently good at it too. She prefers roller blading though, so sometimes they go to the park to skate around together as a little date.

It's 100% pedantic and unnecessary on my part but I can't help but push back in my head when people analyze Ed and Stede's first time and say it was "the wrong decision"/"a bad idea"/"[something that] shouldn't have happened"

It may be because I'm an AuDHD trying to break free of the mind prison that is perfectionism, but I object to the idea that something that is good and wanted and needed in the moment is "the wrong idea" just because it has unwanted consequences afterwards. Delayed gratification is a nice idea in theory, but your brain just doesn't work like that sometimes. Sometimes your ability to be patient and work towards long term goals is nonexistent because you're too fucking stressed to handle that kind of work. To punish yourself for giving into short term pleasure is to deny the fact that you cannot bend your brain to arbitrary plans without accounting for your own needs.

Stede and Ed were always destined to fail to take things slow, one way or another. They're not in an environment where they're allowed to go at their own pace. External forces keep trying to pull them apart and end their lives. They got tortured along with their entire crew just when they thought they could relax and enjoy themselves for once. Stede killed a man in cold blood and broke down over it. Of course their plans to take things slow fell apart. They nearly lost each other and saw each other suffer in ways they hadn't before - of course they wanted, no, needed intimacy. Who wouldn't, in their place?

Yes, this does complicate things for them afterwards. Yes, Ed regrets it. But hindsight is 20/20. It's easy to fixate on one thing that didn't go according to plan and blame it for every problem you're having at the moment. The truth is that the problems they're having (Ed wanting to give up the pirate life while Stede leans more and more into it) would have surfaced eventually either way, and there's no guarantee that them not having sex would have made things any easier.
