Confirmed weapon (not bow) drop in The Goblin-Town Gauntlet, being one of the few missions that spawn infinite enemies that actually drop loot (and offer legendary XP). I wonder if it might be worthwhile to just farm this mission instead of jumping between multiple other missions.

dr. grant seeker was born to two renowned scientists, which practically set his life up for success while also giving him a rather big pair of shoes to fill if he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his parents. yet due to the busy nature of both of his parents, he didn’t necessarily have the best relationships with them. sure, he was well-tended to and never lacked in any wants or needs — but they were often far too busy working to truly engage with their son and his interests. since he was frequently left at home with a lot of free time on his hands, he would often sneak into the lab that was housed in the basement of their spacious home despite knowing that he was prohibited from doing such. he was a rather gifted child from an early age and the unauthorized access to his parents’ lab only boosted his interest in the stem field in particular. at school, he excelled in all of his classes but science, technology, and mathematics had always been his strong suit.

at the age of seven, he was able to take a gifted test and was awarded the title of a child prodigy to all that he knew. not receiving much of a challenge in his classes, he was eventually able to skip a few grades. this fast track in school meant that he was able to enter university at the age of sixteen where he majored in paleontology with a minor in mechanical engineering. one of his childhood hyper-fixations that followed him into adulthood had always been dinosaurs, the man wanting to devour every piece of information he could get his hands on regarding his special interest. yet his parents weren’t necessarily thrilled with their son’s chosen field. they view paleontology wrongly as a rather stagnant field. but grant was more than determined to prove them wrong and make a name for himself in his field.

after graduating from university, he went on to receive a doctorate in paleontology. it was in graduate school that he met his first true love. a fellow scientist with ambitions as large as his own. but the two ended up eventually going their own way due to his partner’s dreams. grant was left heartbroken and this only encouraged him to throw himself further into his research and personal projects. fresh out of grad school, he was hired by the dino institute for his extensive research in biochronology. despite the wealth of satisfaction and accomplishment, he obtained from his work, he couldn’t help but feel as if his life was fairly mundane.

there was no spark to his life like there was when he was with his ex. he was working tirelessly at the institute and toiling away at his lab, yet he never made time for himself. it’s not like he didn’t try to go on the occasional date now and then, but he felt as if no one shared his interests. that’s when he began to look into the potential of adopting a child. the thought of starting a family of his own and taking in children that didn’t have a proper home excited him. he wanted to share his life with someone and that didn’t necessarily have to be a partner. he ended up adopting three children whom he loved dearly. while work still consumed a large portion of the man’s life, he often broke the rules of his boss — dr. marsh — by taking his children to the lab. rules were always meant to be bent in his eyes.

not long after his children were adopted, he obtained his second greatest accomplishment in life (second to his children). the time rover. one big mission later while avoiding the countdown to extinction, dr. seeker had his own live iguanodon that he took care of and kept in his rather large personal lab at home. the dinosaur ended up adopting the mannerisms of an overprotective dog more than anything else. life in a way finally felt complete to the man.

Since people seem to really like my vision requirements illustrations, I figured I could elaborate on my theories/headcanons!

(EDIT: Since people keep mentioning it in the tags of the illust. post, so just to be clear, I am well aware Archons don't hand out visions personally😅 it IS however heavily implied they have a subconcious effect on who gets one, even if they have no active say. Anemo: Purpose.

Anemo users have been unsure or hesitant about how to live their lives or what to do at some point, but all ended up finding something to strive for. Venti found purpose in rebuilding Mondstadt after Decarabian fell, to make the nation a place that the nameless bard would've loved to live in.

Jean found purpose as the Dandelion Knight, Xiao found purpose in serving Morax, Wanderer found purpose in freedom etc. Everyone has something they find fullfilment in.

Geo: Determination.

Geo users have a set path and/or ideal they live by, something they will not budge on no matter what. Zhongli is solid on his contracts, the written word is law and cannot be allowed to go broken, regardless of circumstances. His path is one of mutual agreement and fairness, to ensure everyone and everything gets their due.

Ningguang walks the path of Liyue's pillar, Noelle walks the path of self-improvement, Itto walk the path of acceptance etc. They are determined in their ways and will not bend them.

Electro: Protection.

Electro users all have something/someone they hold dear, and will do anything to ensure it's safety and longevity. Ei loved her sister more than anything else, and would've done anything to keep her safe and alive. Her actions in Inazuma was her terribly misguided way of "protecting" it from erosion, to keep the nation her sister loved so much in prosperity in her place.

Sara wants to protect her people, Keqing wants to protect Liyue's prosperity, Fischl wants to protect her imagination and fantasies etc. They hold things close to their heart and will do anything to protect it.

Dendro: Understanding.

Dendro users are seekers of knowledge and wisdom, wishing to understand the world around them and all that lives in it. Nahida wants to understand people, for wisdom means nothing when it can't be put to practice. People aren't something that can easily be comprehended by textbook knowledge, they must be observed extensively first-hand to even begin to understand.

Baizhu wants to understand the secrets of immortality, Kirara wants to understand human society, Collei wants to understand how to help others etc. They earnestly search for ways to expand their world.

Hydro: Duty.

Hydro users tend to have a strong sense of responsibility and personal principles they live by. We don't know enough about Furina to say for sure what her deal is right now, but I speculate her duty is closely connected to the Heavenly Principles, and that she views herself as Celestia's "executioner" so to speak.

Ayato's duty is to the yashiro commision, Candace's duty is to the desert-dwellers, Childe's duty is to the Tsaritsa etc. They have solid loyalties and set principles they work by.

Pyro: Passion.

Pyro users are full of love and passion for what they do, dedicating themselves whole-heartedly to their chosen field. We know very little about Murata, so it's hard to say what she's like. As the God of War I assume she has a passion for battle? Who knows.

Yoimiya is passionate about fireworks, Bennett is passionate about adventuring, Diluc is passionate about defending Mondstadt etc. They have a profound love of life and what is in it.

Cryo: Contradiction.

Cryo users are at odds with themselves, rife with inner conflicts and clashing desires. The Tsaritsa is described as an archon with no love for her people, and has been noted to have grown cold post-cataclysm. Her harbingers, most notably Childe, say otherwise, though. She's not unloving, but she is disillusioned and vengeful. Her hatred for Teyvat and Celestia is at odds with her love of her people.

Rosaria is conflicted with her lifestyle(s), Ayaka is conflicted with her status and wants, Kaeya is conflicted with his loyalties etc. They are torn by irreconcilable opposites.

Pile 4, you went through so much hardships and burdens. The journey had been difficult. It made you feel like you've been climbing up a mountain carrying heavy rocks. These responsibility and burdens you're carrying, most of it is not even yours. For example, it is already part of some people’s jobs to give massages, but if you do an office job and your boss asks you for a massage, that is harassment. Such an occurrence is not a legitimate argument against allowing people to sell massages. It is striking and painful that these concerns about sexual harassment are so back-to-front. Far from failing to grant such protections to sex workers, decriminalisation is the only measure that can start to make these workplaces protections possible. Far from making the concept legally meaningless, decriminalisation extends protections against workplace sexual harassment to sex workers.

In some ways, the repeated construction of ‘all sex work is rape’ is reminiscent of sexist teenage boys ‘joking’ about whether the sexual assault of a prostitute constitutes rape or ‘theft’: both rely on the idea that, because you sell sex, it is intrinsically absurd to imagine that society might recognise harm to you as a real violation. In fact, in 2014 a sex worker in a brothel in New Zealand took her manager to an employment tribunal for sexual harassment and won her case. Such a ruling would be unimaginable anywhere that sex workers’ workplaces are criminalised. There is no labour law in a criminalised workplace. The tribunal ruling in the case commented, ‘Sex workers are as much entitled to protection from sexual harassment as those working in other occupations … Sex workers have the same human rights as other workers.’”]

PAC: What Should You Do for Spring Break?

For my college babes who need ideas on what to do for the next couple of days or next month, I got you with this one! This marks one of two posts being made today! Yayyy! Without further ado, please pick your pile.

Left-to-Right: (1-3)

Pile 1: Pile One, you need to play it cool for your spring break. I feel like you really just need to let loose. Flirt a little. I see the wing of an airplane in my third eye, which lets me know that you should book a last minute flight. Try to go to a place that’s not a hot spot. Where do you feel called to? I also think you do some exploring within your city. Take a mini road trip! I specifically see a bar at night but with dancing, square dancing. Do any of you live in Texas? If not, you should take a road trip down to Texas! This is for a very select group of you, but you should elope with your significant other. It sounds crazy but your ancestral team supports it. If you’re single and ready to mingle, then you should go on a date. Perhaps a sip and paint? Maybe go to a lounge? I see a stable relationship forming from this date. You should go to a sporting event, if you can score some tickets! I saw a bowling ball, so you should definitely go bowling as well.  And lastly, you should do something that helps you recalibrate like go to a spa! You deserve it girl!

Pile 2: Pile Two, you need to retreat. I feel like you’ve been separating yourself from the crowd for a reason. You definitely need to be by yourself at this time. Take some time out for yourself and just relax. I don’t think this pile does this often, so you should take a smoke break. I saw the meme of that girl talking about conspiracy theories while smoking a blunt lmao. I also heard the word “cleansing”, so you should definitely take the time to release any past energies. Let it all go. Honestly, if you’re in a relationship, it’s time to leave it in the past. I do see that it’ll be a mutual decision so no one will really be broken hearted. Some things simply just run its course. Refrain from doing anything impulsive, it will backfire. I think that you should also spend more time with your family (chosen or biological). You tend to take them for granted & you need those moments to bond with them. Focus on setting goals for the springtime. But after all of this, you could also make an appointment with a spiritual advisor to get a spiritual cleansing or get a tarot reading from them, specifically someone who is new to you. If you do not have access to a spiritual advisor, give yourself a spiritual bath or an egg cleanse. It is best to make new connections at this time, specifically with those who have friends in higher places if you know what I mean. I channeled Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog. And lastly, what you could do during spring break is implement new workout habits. This could be going to the gym, taking daily walks, finding a yoga routine, going to a pilates class, hiking or even taking a kickboxing class. Spirit wants you to not be super inactive during this break. It’s called balance. You need to learn how to not be so extreme, Pile Three. Some kind of Georgian or Victorian au

Robyn Gadling is a very eligible young gentlemen, lately seen spending time with eligible debutante Dream Endless, and currently considered the most likely contender for his hand.

Personally Dream likes Robyn well enough, certainly better than most of his other suitors, but just can’t picture himself ever agreeing to marry him. Thankfully though, not long after he first begins visiting, Robyn finds an opportunity to speak privately with Dream and outright agree that he thinks they don’t suit. However, if Dream would be willing to consider the idea, he does think Dream would make a good match with his father, Hob Gadling.

Dream is fond enough of Robyn, and it’s a novel enough situation, that he is willing to hear him out, and from Robyn’s description does have to admit that the elder Mr. Gadling appeals to him more than the younger does.

So while society thinks that Robyn Gadling and Dream Endless are courting, behind the scenes Robyn is actually acting as wingman and go-between for Dream and his father (who is currently out of town on business), helping them get to know one another and eventually exchange letters. (Hob Gadling originally was just indulging his son in his matchmaking attempt, amused by this idea of courting by proxy, but as time went on he became more and more interested and invested in Dream for himself)

Eventually Hob Gadling returns to town, and Robyn wastes no time in inviting Dream over to introduce him, and outsiders who might been interested in the situation assume that Mr. Gadling the Younger was simply waiting for his father to return and grant his approval before making any engagement official (and from a certain point of view this is not untrue…). In any case, most everyone assumes that an announcement in the papers declaring the engagement of Mr. Gadling and Mr. Endless will be soon forthcoming, and sure enough they are proven right about a week later…until they all take another look and realize it’s the wrong Mr. Gadling printed there!

Gossipy scandal-seekers watch Robyn very carefully for any sign of disappointment, heartbreak, or perhaps even anger. After all, the father had clearly stolen a march on his son! But alas, Robyn never appears anything less than pleased, sometimes even a little smug, whenever he sees Dream and his father together looking utterly smitten. And even before the wedding, Robyn and Dream have been heard to call each other “stepson” and “stepfather” in teasing but clearly affectionate tones.

YES matchmaker Robyn!! This is great. I love the idea of everyone thinking that Hob has stolen his son's intended husband. I think that Hob would also be amused (and quite flattered tbh, he is two decades older than Dream) by all the gossip. He's still amazed that Dream is interested - not only interested, but willing to risk his heart on Hob! It turns out that they make a perfect couple. There's no financial pressure on either of them (both have plenty of their own money), both of them prefer a quieter life in the country with a few trips away each year, and Hob isn't fussy about the idea of an heir - he has Robyn!

The gossipers begin to spread new rumours - Dream has married Hob because he wants his money now, but surely he's affections are really pinned on Robyn. He's probably cuckolding the father, with the son! But of course that isn't the case. Dream and Hob have a very healthy sex life, in fact, theyre so well matched in the bedroom it's a miracle they ever make it outside! According to their servants, the amount of sex they have is absolutely scandalous. Don't call on them until the afternoon, because you won't be seeing them for the whole morning.

Robyn would prefer not to hear the gossip about his father's sex life, but he supposes that's the reward he gets for playing cupid! At least he's always welcome to have a nice lunch with his papa and "stepfather", who are fonder of him than ever <3

Hello friend, I may have recommended games similar to this but I don't know if I've actually fulfilled this prompt before! I'll do my best to show you some interesting games, and you can check out previous posts at the bottom in case there's something there that fits your tastes more.

Questlandia: Second Edition, by Turtlebun.

In Questlandia, you and your friends will invent a world from scratch. It might be fantastic or bizarre, from a remembered past or imagined future.You’ll paint a picture of your society and its people, their laws and customs, how they live and how they dream.

But your society is failing. As you play, your characters will attempt to find beauty and purpose amidst the chaos of a changing world.

Questlandia is a tabletop roleplaying game that creates fantastical worlds in states of change. It may be medieval fantasy in a ghost-haunted kingdom, neo-noir in a roboticized undercity, or microscopic slipstream suburbia in a puddle. The possible settings are boundless, but will always come from the interests of those at the table. Bring in real-world themes that intrigue you, references that inspire you, worldbuilding that follows your curiosity.

Questlandia uses dice and cards to help you create a society, as well as your character’s role in that society. I think this is a good example of a game where every person is a character, but every player is also a GM. You’ll roll against each-other to determine whether or not your society will be able to overcome their troubles. Overall, I think Questlandia is great for telling a story that spans a number of factions or nations.

Pantheon, by harpoon_gun.

4-6 GMs, who are distant Gods with their own desires and needs, and up to 3 players, champions of the Gods who are being forced to do their chores. Take turns toying with the champions, screwing over the other Gods, and building relationships of both the positive and negative variety. 

All I know about this game is what I can divine from the description, but I would hazard a guess that much of this gameplay is going to feel a little bit like PvP. The gods that your GMs are embodying will have conflicting goals and desires, so expect to run into a lot of backbiting and backstabbing. The game itself was designed for the Bad TTRPGS Jam, which encouraged designers to fuck around with rules and see where it got them. So no guarantees for a balanced game here - but maybe an interesting experiment!

Fool’s Errand, by Myles Wirth.

You are a group of questants, pledged to a seemingly-impossible task. You must set out alone into the world, each following your own path by which the quest might be fulfilled. They will be long and difficult journeys, with no guarantee of success.

Inspired by legends and travelogues, Fool's Errand is a single-page tabletop game about perseverance in the face of uncertainty and the joy of worldbuilding together. It is prepless, gm-less, setting-agnostic, and can be played on its own or as a setup or interlude for another game. Rather than flattening Player-GM distinctions entirely, it inverts the traditional balance of a ttrpg table; players take turns as "seekers", individual characters traversing the world in search of an impossible goal, while the rest of the table forms the "Chorus", building and refining the world around the seeker as they explore it.

Fools’ Errand asks you to make some travellers and give them a quest that they cannot achieve. The game occurs over a series of turns; on your turn you’ll control your Seeker and declare what you want to do. The rest of the table becomes the Chorus, and build the Location that Seeker is in. The Seeker may then attempt to convince the Chorus that the way in which they will attempt to solve the problem is something they would be good at; and then rolls 3d6. Your result may grant you a Boon or a Burden, which may draw you closer to or pull you farther from your character’s goal. Your characters also have a Resolve pool, which will diminish over the course of play.

I think success is still technically possible in this game, but it’s highly unlikely. What is more likely is that characters will slowly give up on their quest, and join the Chorus in telling the story of who remains.

Bleak Spirit, by potatocubed.

Bleak Spirit is a storytelling game where you and your friends create a brooding, cryptic tale about a stranger in a strange land. Everything is falling apart, crumbling, corrupted, and the wanderer carries the potential for a return to past glories – or the power to sweep away all that remains.

Everyone contributes to the tale, sharing the sense of mystery that comes from no-one knowing the entire truth of what's going on. Everyone takes turns being the world for a scene, introducing lore which hints at the history of the setting. After every scene everyone leaps to conclusions based on the lore which has been revealed – and these conclusions affect the sorts of lore they will introduce when it's their turn to be the world.

Bleak Spirit is meant to replicate the narrative beats of Dark Souls, Hollow Knight, and Bloodborne. It gives everyone at the table a chance to play the Wanderer, a chance to play the World - and a chance to sit as part of the Chorus. The game is very structured, which I think helps the table keep on track, since everyone is going to have a chance to contribute to the story. The Wanderer dictates the character’s actions, but never their internal thought or feelings. The World creates Areas and Locations that the Wanderer will visit. The Chorus will introduce themes, descriptions, and motifs that are meant to make the world full of grandeur, mystique and decay.

This is a game that you might be interested if you like melancholic tones, large gaps in historical knowledge, and collaborative world building. The creator has also created a Cat version of this game, called Cat Spirit!

Two Weeks One Summer, by Rick Cockram.

In Two Weeks One Summer the players take the role of a family visiting a rambling old house in the woods during a summer holiday. The game focusses on the activities of the children of the family as they explore the house, it's grounds and the surrounding woodland. It is a game about finding things to do, creating your own excitement and exploring an unfamiliar environment.

This game divides the participants into two roles: the Children and the Grown-Ups. Over the course of the game, each of these roles will contribute different things to the description of the house, and the events that happen as you stay here. I think this works well for a slice-of life game, but it also might be an interesting source of inspiration for telling stories that are more dramatic or fantastical.

Am I the only one who sees the similarities here?

King Candy controls his citizens through their code, while Magnifico controls them through their wishes, in both cases the core of their existence, the essence of their hearts.

Both kingdoms look perfect on the surface, having names with good connotations (Sugar Rush and Rosas), but their kings, who seem benevolent at first, actually hide a dark secret.

Both kings are attention seekers that must feel loved and appreciated, which also leads to their downfall: King Candy, or rather his true identity, Turbo, felt ignored by the players when another racing game became more popular than his, invaded the new game, and caused both to get disconnected. Magnifico gets angry every time someone questions him, which makes him turn to dark magic.

King Candy tries to crush Vanellope's dream of racing so his secret won't be exposed if her true game state as a princess is restored by using the other racers to bully her and lying about her being a glitch, while Magnifico strives to silence Asha in order to keep his secret of hoarding the wishes and not intending to grant most of them by telling the citizens she's a traitor endangering the kingdom by destroying wishes, and offering a prize on turning her in.

Both girls get the help they need to overthrow the king from another world: Asha gets Star who crushes to the forest near the village she lives in, and Vanellope meets Ralph, who comes from another video game, and crushes his spaceship to the Candy Cane Forest. King Candy / Turbo, is also from another video game, while Magnifico claims he got his genes from outer space!

Both kings have loyal lackeys that are identified with the color green: Magnifico uses forbidden magic, which is green, to fulfill Simon's wish and get him to his side, while King Candy has Sour Bill, who is a green candy. Also, Magnifico rides white horses, and King Candy drives Vanellope's original race car, which is white.

The climax of both movies takes place on a high-altitude location, with both kings torturing the protagonists and their friends: In Wreck-it Ralph, it happens on Diet Cola Mountain, with King Candy trying to prevent Ralph from making the volcano erupt and forcing him to watch the Cybugs closing in on Vanellope, while in Wish it occurs on the palace's roof, with Magnifico blasting Asha with magic and sucking Star into his staff.

(And, unfortunately, both kings have fans who are sure they did nothing wrong because of their traumatic past, and that the girl is actually is the villain...)

A Fizziepop Take: Let's talk about Blitz's new look at Stolas

Ok, so in the past, I’ve talked about how the incident at Ozzie’s put more strain on an already fragile relationship, thus solidifying the idea a certain imp had in his mind that he was essentially beneath Stolas in every way he possibly could be and therefore unworthy of love. This ideology made the relationship between the pair appear strictly transactional since Blitz wouldn’t let it be anything else because he himself feels that that’s how it should be; that it’s all it could be. Now don’t get me wrong, Stolas isn’t completely innocent in making the whole relationship feel more like a transaction than a relationship, but in this instance, we’re gonna focus on Blitz and what I believe his turn around will be based off this newest episode because I believe that it could be a game-changer for their relationship and Blitz’s own character development. So let’s get into it!

As I’ve pointed out previously, Blitz has felt like he’s been used as a glorified sex toy since the beginning of their relationship. And given the hierarchy of the demons, Blitz is already pretty low on the totem being an imp while Stolas sits somewhere on top…. We can see that Blitz understands that when he’s tripping balls in “Truth Seekers”, but because of this, it seems that Blitz got it in his mind that Stolas was less than ‘human’ (for lack of a better term). Because of the status difference, Blitz always just assumed the other demon was unfeeling, uncaring, and essentially indestructible; building this image of the demon prince in his head that is a romanticized version of him that truly was worlds above where Blitz sees himself. And until “Western Energy” came out today, this is really the only version we’re shown of Stolas because we seem to be seeing the man the way Blitz does. Is he whiny? Sometimes. But do things hurt him? From Blitz’s point of view, no. 

We as the audience see maybe two or three times where Stolas is truly vulnerable but it seems to end just as quickly as it starts. Blitz doesn’t see that side of him. Granted, I believe Stolas does want a relationship with Blitz where he can be vulnerable in ways he never was able to before and because he has a preconceived notion of what their relationship is, Blitz shuts down any attempt Stolas tries to initiate intimacy… But I think in the imp doing this and Stolas just blindly going with it to try to appease Blitz has given the image of someone made of stone… And being so used to the abuse from Stella, Stolas doesn’t see that he’s almost restarting the cycle with Blitz by allowing the imp to be as mean as he is to him; even going as far as to tell Blitz through text that he can be mean to him if it’s what he wants. I think this genuinely leads Blitz to believe that Stolas can't be hurt in any way, emotionally to physically.

In all honesty, it’s interesting to look at Blitz in this light where he seems to unintentionally be another abusive relationship that Stolas is trapping himself in because you can see that the imp does genuinely care for the owl, even if he thinks he shouldn’t. That is why the incident at Ozzie’s was such a big deal to him, because after some time, I think Blitz was slowly trying to open himself up to Stolas and whatever little progress he made was pretty much crushed when Stolas basically refused to acknowledge the fact that he’s out with him in public when confronted. For someone like Blitz who struggles with communication and bases their self worth on how others view him, Stolas not wanting to be seen with him in public but being kind to him when no one else is around would have destroyed every sense of security he may have been starting to feel with the other man. Like just shredded it. Which in turn, is going to cause a rift that Blitz will rationalize as just him not being worth anything more even though he is actively contributing to the rift by refusing to communicate.

Now, the interesting part: in the newest episode of Helluva Boss, Blitz actually has a chance to view a more humanized idea of Stolas. It sucks that it took Stolas being damn near murdered and hospitalized for Blitz to see him on a different level, but it does happen. I think this in turn may give us a more freely feeling version of Blitz down the line. We can already see small fragmented moments when Blitz is genuinely worried about Stolas, genuinely cares about him, but he still keeps himself distant…. Seeing something bad happen to Stolas does open the man up a little, prompting him to text the man while he’s in the hospital to let him know that he hopes he feels better. Despite how minor that may seem, I think it is a step in the right direction, and I do think he’ll see a more personified version of Stolas which could prompt him to want to be closer to him, meaning he would have to stop pushing his feelings down to allow himself to wander into this territory of emotional vulnerability he may have seen but never experienced.

While I trust Vivzie completely in this journey she’s taking us on, this is definitely a route I really hope she takes because I truly do want to see the two men get a happy ending of some sort whether that’s at the end of the series or it advances their storyline together through the rest of the series.  But this is just a Fizzie take on things so far. I would love to hear what your thoughts are on how Blitz and Stolas’ relationship seems to be going.
