I think most of his faces have held a sort of pride towards the timelords and Gallifrey, choosing to honour their memory and have his people be remembered fondly despite all their flaws. But I feel this face, when it was the 10th, spoke of it with the most heart. At least, more grandiosely! When he spoke about Gallifrey, it was like a legend. A promise. A promise to never rid anyone of their homes and family ever again.

And I feel the reason the 10th clung to his origins like he did is because compared to all the other doctors, he longed for a family the most. Not a companion, but a proper family. A place to belong. A fatherly shoulder to rest his head on, a sister to ask for advice, a partner for life and a mother to scold him for mischief. which he used to have. All of it.

And he was forced to let go of all of it.

Then what do you do. You die and move on, now warry of ever opening up your heart that far again because deep inside a face of you knows how much it hurts to open it all the way. And still, the doctor has Gallifrey and his identity to hold onto. His only constant. A belonging lost to time yet with an unwavering connection that remains. What do you do when you lose that too, and get your old face back?

Throughout the 3 specials, the doctor is so so scared of losing Donna again. He would be any day, but now with his old face back, it's the only constant he's got left. the only slither of family he was able to save AND the only one that still remains. If she dies, that face has truly, completely, lost and ruined everything he ever dared to open his heart to back then.

Which is why the 15th knew it was so important for the 14th to stay. They may not have a solid origin anymore, but there's still a family waiting for them. And he knows very well the 14th can't carry on and leave all of it behind with the knowledge he has now.

He has to heal so the doctor can thrive. He has to come home, so the 15th can play outside.

Considering it's a popular headcanon... does Peri have any disabilities of his own in the Nature AU? Might help him better help out Dev with his problems.

I headcanon that he has weak joints, probably something like Joint Hypermobility Syndrome or Hypermobile EDS? Something that causes the connective tissue of his joints to just, not be that good.

His joints hurt often and physical exertion is a lot more taxing on him than it is for most other people or fairies.

My main ship is Gentlesurgery, which I draw quite a lot! If that ship is not your cup of tea I kindly suggest to be polite and just move on, harassment and hate will not be tolerated here. I also have other favorite TF2 ships that I don't have listed above in the "Meet The Artist" template that I may draw from time to time! So with the no fan art of your characters thing…. It seems a bit odd and I’m sorry for saying that,but it intrigues me why someone’s wouldn’t wanna see other people draw their characters

I've been asked this 100s of times, and have had people constantly question this boundary of mine and ask me to explain myself.

I've exhausted all my energy and patience for questions about my stance on fanart. I don't feel like having to defend myself again, and again, and again.. 😞

I don't expect people to understand my stance on fanart, and you don't have to understand it in order to respect it. Just as I don't have to understand anyone else's boundaries to stay behind the line.

I am very uncomfortable with any form of fanart being made for me. Of my FNAF redesigns, my sona, my ocs, you name it, it counts. I don't expect anyone to understand it, I just want people to respect that boundary.

"How are we supposed to show our support for you then?" Comments. That's it. All I look forward to when I post art is reading all the nice comments people have left me. Truly, comments are all I want. Fanart just makes me feel awful.

I usually wouldn't make a post like this, but I'll preface this by saying I'm happy for Zar, that he's decided to repost his works and that he feels comfortable in doing so. He is an amazing writer, and this fandom does not deserve the stuff he has done for it.

What I don't want to be seeing is people saying shit along the lines of "I have to download all the works now in case they get deleted again!" It's just downright disrespectful, the works are made by a person. Remember that, with any fanfic in general, Zar is a person. He made those works for free, and it's all within his right to take them away again. You are not entitled to being able to see these works and Zar does not owe you anything.

Zar deleted his stuff for a reason, just because they are back up doesn't mean you get to ignore that it happened, learn a lesson from this. The initial reactions I saw to him deleting the works were downright disgusting, you are consuming these works for free, you aren't allowed to complain.

If I hear anyone who follows me or who I am following making disrespectful comments about this entire situation I won't hesitate to block or unfollow, please think before you post something. There are people behind the text on your screen. This is basic human decency. Cyber harassment is real, and it is damaging.

We don't deserve the writers in this fandom if all we will do is treat them like machines. Learn from this.

I really do love your writing and Salvage gets me through when I am sad or depressed. However, I was wondering, how do you cope when someone who wrote a review didn’t like your writing? If you’ve had this before… I had one today and I am dejected. I’m working through my perfectionism and I keep telling myself, “my writing isn’t for everyone and it’s okay.” Any advice?

If it was unsolicited, especially on a fanfic? Delete it, block the person if you feel like, then go do your rage activity of choice before forgetting about it forever. That person is rude and doesn't deserve your time anymore than someone bumping into you on the street.

I've also found it useful to actively think of my fanfic as writing practice, and not even my brain expects perfection from writing practice. It also frees you do Try Cool Things.

a small moment of kindness that touched me today. speaking about our struggles as grad students in class with classmates. our small group is all BIPOC; another latine and two arabs, one who is palestinian. we are speaking very honestly about our fears and frustrations. feeling useless. feeling scared. upset at the world and its horrors. angry at other peoples' silence. but at the same time so so full of joy and hope. i talked about being scared of being forgotten, and we continued on with our group task of creating a liberation health triangle.

professor transitioned us back to the full class and while our professor began speaking again, my Palestinian classmate--so beautiful and with the most wonderful curls--leaned close to me and whispered "I'll never forgot you." I almost didn't hear her so i whispered back, "what?", and as sweetly as the first time she said, "I'll never forget you. And I'll never forget what you said last semester. You were the first person in this entire program who spoke of your frustrations. I felt less alone."

the walk home from class was very cold, but i could not help but let myself repeat the moment in my head over and over again.
