God I really bitched and moaned that some of my polyam ships only had so many fics (anywhere from 50-100) and mainecarwash has SIX. One of which is mine!!

Really wish I was better at drawing. I know it’s all from practice, but I feel like I only draw something every few months or so. Maybe I need to do it more, or look at some kind of tutorial for drawing characters.

Although, I am visibly improving. I know when I drew Archer for the first time, I was basically completely tracing it. And it looked kind of okay.

And I just drew Kohaku from Tsukihime for the first time, and I all I did was reference a few different photos of her. I definitely don’t think I’d call it original, but I feel like it’s different enough, that if it wasn’t a sketch I wouldn’t feel bad about showing it to others.

It’s only from the neck up, and I’m not too sure about the eyes, but it could probably be worse.

Overall, I’m pretty impressed with what I’ve done, considering what I believe my skill level is.

You can tell I love Kohaku, considering I don’t really get the urge to just go and draw any characters I don’t absolutely love. Shirou, Archer, Luffy, Sonic, Tails, etc.

Great news for uninsured adults in the USA who want a COVID-19 booster! It now appears that ALL CVS locations are now active participants in the Bridge Access Program. The Bridge Access Program gives out free Covid-19 vaccinations to 18+ adults who otherwise can't afford one, so if you have a CVS near you, please go get one! For others who don't have a CVS near them, please go to vaccines.gov, click on "Find Covid-19 vaccines", fill out which vaccines you prefer (you can mix different vaccines if you have to so i reccomend just marking all of them for the age groups you need), and when the next page loads mark the "Bridge Access Program Participant" option to see only locations that are Bridge Access Program participants. Hopefully, other places that aren't CVS will start participating soon, so just check back every so often to see if there are any updates. The CDC Bridge Access Program website also has more details on what locations will be participating, but only CVS is appearing as an active participant on the vaccines.gov location finder at the moment.

My favourite part about Logan and Wade's dynamic is the difference in their interactions when public versus in private.

When it's just the two of them, Logan will tear Wade into pieces. He snaps and snarls, he fights and makes Wade bleed without hesitation or pause. He talks shit about Wade straight to his face without a care. They're ugly together, they seem like a hot mess. They are covered in blood and irritation and everything in between. There's no filter or any rules. Logan goes all out and so does Wade. Hence, the abhorrent hot mess that was the Honda Oddysey scene.

But once an audience comes into play, Logan settles — like a good dog heeling at his master's side. He lets Wade takes the reigns, only making faces (which is, honestly, just his resting judging face) and letting out grunts (like when Wade was trying to convince the rest to fight Cassandra Nova, and Logan was making judgy little half-snorts into his bottle).

But he doesn't stop Wade. In fact, he just ... lets him. Like the scene before Logan's fight with Sabretooth. Mind you, they were literally just fighting not even five minutes prior to that. Logan still had both of Wade's katanas sticking out of him. Yet, when Wade came around to fuss over him, claiming that Logan was embarrassing the hell out of him and what not, Logan stays still. He allows Wade do whatever he pleases, and he only lunges upon being given the green light.

It's just so fucking fascinating to me. Because there is no reason for Logan to settle the way he does, but he does. He does.

Deathworlders everywhere but in Space

This is sitting in my brain because I haven't seen anyone else do this, but take a second to think about this: There are other deathworlders in space, terrifying ones, huge monster orc things. They are massive and nightmarish and impossibly strong. So thats why humans stand out. Thats how we survive. Human's are terrifying because we aren't built for one biome, one climate or even one planet. We aren't necessarily the strongest or fastest or scariest looking, but we're built to survive fucking everything. What if other deathworlder's are almost always only made to survive in one climate? (similar to some of the most deadly predators on earth currently) All the other deathworlders are terrifying, yes, but the second they step off their planet they're weak. Massive aliens of hulking muscle but their planet's gravity is a lot lower than the standard, so they barely meet the average strength bar whenever they go outside their gravity zone. Aliens that have venomous spikes all over their body and look gnarly as shit but their venom has practically no effect on 99% of discovered intergalactic species. Deathworlders whose planet is the nether from minecraft IRl, but they can't survive in any other temperature for any amount of time because their body just can't handle the cold and regulate their temperate (or, vice versa for tundra species). Aquatic species that are kraken-like nightmares, giant sirens and deadly squid-like beings. But they can't leave their home at all, because theres a very specific chemical makeup of their water that isn't currently found within their life-span distance travel. Deathworlders that genuinely can barely survive off planet and are frail compared to even the most docile prey species whenever they have to travel. Their called deathworlders because going to their planet is certain death, but if they leave they'll be meeting death just as quickly. And then along come humans, and everyones like, oh, another deathworlder, nothing to worry abou- wait. These guys dont seem to loose any of their natural strength off planet... and their fast and strong... and- AND THEY CAN SURVIVE IN PRACTICALLY ANY CLIMATE IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE??? HELLO? Oh and of course their predators. Of course most of their planet is completely uninhabitable for most of us. Mhm, yep. thats fair. Totally Basically, deathworlders are a thing, the more common 'terrifying alien monster' type, but their harmless because they can't survive like everyone else. They can't thrive like humans can. It scares the shit out of everyone for a wholeeeeee while, after all, no one ever expected a deathworlder that doesn't die.

So you know how it's canon that Will listens to true crime podcasts?

What if that's how he finds out that Nico is from the 1940s?!

Like he's listening to the latest episode about 'the death of Maria di Angelo and the disappearance and supposed kidnapping of her missing children, Niccolò and Bianca di Angelo'.

And it's not all that strange for demigods to pop up in conspiracy blogs or podcasts - Percy had a four part series about him, and Will listened to the whole thing during a nightshift at the infirmary.

So yeah, Will starts listens to the di Angelo episode thinking nothing of it, maybe he's just hoping to have a laugh about what the mortals thought happened to Nico or maybe he's more than a little curious about Nico's mysterious past.

And the hosts, in crackling stereo voices because they desperately need a better mic, are talking about lightning striking the hotel, how "the storm popped up out of nowhere" and the "strange seismic activity reported in the area at the time"...and then the date drops...

The hosts say something along the lines of, "The di Angelo siblings were reported missing by their family back in Italy after no word had been received of their safe passage to America. The police report states they were last seen by an anonymous witness entering the Lotus Hotel & Casino with an unknown third party in December of 1942."

And Will's just sat there, gaping at the infirmary bed he'd been stripping of its sheets. Because everything is adding up now, and Will's not quite sure how he missed it...
