every little sound of a notification from your phone made your body jolt with excitement, then disappointment as you laid down, staring up at the cute darth vader plushie blankly, praying for time to go by faster. 

your hands darted out to hug it, pressing your face into the fabric with a groan. what was taking him so long? at this time, seonghwa would have already called you, and he would be rambling on about his day happily to you.

he was studying overseas, having gotten a scholarship for english literature and your timezones were vastly different. it was either that you would stay up late to talk to him, or he would have to, but you were willing to stay up late for him. 

your legs kicked against the bed impatiently, getting up slightly to check your phone again, before you jumped. your phone rang loudly with your ringtone, seonghwa's profile picture showing up on the screen. 

you squeaked loudly from happiness, your heart pumping quickly from the adrenaline as you accepted the call.

"finally! i missed you," your eyes locked onto his figure on the phone screen, though it was angled downwards, so that you could only see from below his chin. despite that, you didn't care, as long as he was there with you. you grinned almost stupidly, a little giddy from getting to see him and talk to him.

"i missed you too, i'm sorry for calling you so late, the bus came late," seonghwa apologized, straightening his shirt as he piled some of the contents of his backpack onto the desk. "today was so tiring, ugh. but seeing your cute face makes everything so much better."

you laughed, shifting on the bed to sit against the headboard, propping your phone in between your knees as you pulled your legs up, a little closer to your chest. seonghwa just always knew how to make you feel appreciated, with his cheesy one-liners.

"oh, shut up," was all you could muster up, a loud yawn resonating through your room before you spoke again in a softer tone, rubbing your eyes. "what happened today? your professor giving you a hard time?"

"not really, just that he made us study a ridiculously cryptic poem again. thinking of it makes my brain want to eject itself out of my head in an attempt to self destruct," seonghwa replied, panning the camera up with the help of his book to allow you a full view of his face. he looked as stunning as always, his eyes shining with affection for you. your face was lit up solely from your phone screen and your bedside lamp, in an effort to not strain your eyes much.

"you always have weird ways to describe what you're thinking," you blurted out. it wasn't a bad thing, you found it cute. and plus, it was easier to empathize with him in that way. 

"i know, i'm an intellectual," he said, snorting softly, embarrassed at his own satirical praise. seonghwa leaned in, paying attention intently to you as you spoke, rambling slightly about your day.

as time passed, you felt yourself get sleepier and sleepier, and it seemed like seonghwa noticed, frowning slightly.

"isn't it like super late for you now? you should get to sleep," seonghwa said after he finished his sentence, something about the cafeteria food there. "you look really tired."

"but i want to talk to you," you tried to protest, but it seemed like seonghwa was firm on you getting your beauty sleep. he was stubborn, even more than you, and he won again. "okay, okay, you're right. i feel like i'm about to pass out."

"oh, dear," he cooed softly, pouting slightly as he leaned in a bit more. he didn't really want to part from you, wanting to talk more but he cared more than you were not too sleep deprived. "why not stay on call with me? i can study while you sleep and you can get some comfort knowing i'm on the other side of the line."

your eyes lit up from his suggestion, and you nodded happily at it. it was a great idea for you. 

"what if i snore?" you asked, raising an eyebrow briefly before leaning back with a soft groan.

"doesn't matter, i think it's adorable. now, sleep! i love you," seonghwa demanded in a playful manner, with a tinge of seriousness in his tone. he blew a kiss to you, definitely wishing he was there to kiss you in person, but this would do for now.

"i love you too, i'm gonna snuggle with your plushies to pretend you're here in person. goodnight, make sure to call me earlier tomorrow," you mumbled, blowing a kiss back to him. a chuckle could be heard from the speakers of your phone as you put it aside, next to your head on the pillow. your hands were occupied, holding the plushies tight to your chest, remnants of his scent and cologne on the material.

seonghwa could feel his heart ache slightly, panging with loneliness as he sighed. but your soft snores and mumbles as you slept soothed him, relaxing him as he worked on his assignments, wishing to see you and hold you securely in his arms again in the near future.

Literally the best friend ever. He'd be the perfect balance of the chaotic crazy you need to do something stupid with at 3am, but also the mature and comforting friend you can cry to after a terrible day.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

He's fine with cuddles. He won't really ask for them, but when he does, he has his entire body wrapped around you while he rests his head on your chest.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

He wants the both of you to move in together as soon as possible. It just sounds so nice to be able to come home to you and spend his free time with you in your own little apartment instead of long video calls with each other from your own homes. He's very loyal, and I mean, very. Gives you his 100% from the start, even when he was only crushing on you. But he'll probably only want to get married when he's older, like maybe in his early thirties.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

He tries his best. There are times where the lighthearted punches he throws while pretending to be a boxer accidentally leaves a bruise, and he'll feel terrible about it and apologize over and over again. He would even let you punch him back to make it equal. Emotionally, he'll always try his best to understand you and listen to your problems :(

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it?)

He loves hugs! He prefers them over cuddles, because they're so much more convenient. He'll loves to hug you whenever he can - be it on the train ride home, or when you're cooking dinner, or when you're waiting in line at the grocery store.

He says it surprisingly fast compared to others. Sohee doesn't really believe that there's a "right time" to tell someone that he loves them. He thinks it matters more to just tell the people around him how much he appreciates and loves them whenever he can.

He gets jealous so easily, it's kinda cute. He'll be very petty about it too, so when you talk to him after complimenting Eunseok's cooking a bit too much for his liking, he'll be really sarcastic. Definitely says things like "Oh, why don't you go talk about it with your other boyfriend?" and "Oh, you remembered I exist? I thought you only cared about Eunseok." But once you smother him in kisses, he'll be a happy boy again <3

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

His kisses are so sweet but so messy,, he doesn't mean for it to happen that way, but he just loves you so much that he gets carried away sometimes :(

Sohee is so good with children! Instantly their new best friend as he plays tag with them, purposely running slower so they could manage to catch him.

He's so clingy in the morning. The warmth of the bed and your arms around him feels too comfortable to get out of, and all he wants to do is stay in your embrace. Even when you get out of bed to get ready for the day, he'll be tailing after you to hug you.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

He's also so clingy at night! He wants to know everything about your day, listening with full attention while he's snuggled up beside you in bed. Always tells you goodnight with a soft kiss to the lips.

Sohee needs more time compared to others. He's been through a lot, so he only wants to share about his past with someone he can fully trust and feels comfortable with.

He's so patient!!! Almost never gets angry unless you've done something that really upsets him and crosses his boundaries. But even then, Sohee will take some time away to calm down and talk about it with you afterwards.

Sohee remembers everything about you. Even if it was something you randomly mumbled to him about, he'll always remember about it. Sometimes he remembers things about you that you've forgotten yourself, and it's always a surprise for you <3

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

During your first date! You've went out together as friends before, but this one felt much different because it was romantic. He was so nervous, but all worry faded away the moment he saw your smile as you walked into the coffee shop.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you?)

Sohee's protective in a healthy amount. Wants to make sure you're safe and happy no matter where you are and what time it is, especially when he isn't with you. He'll get up and drive you home from a girls' night out, even if it's 3am. He lives by the motto "Better safe than sorry" >:)

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He puts so much efforts into these things, it's insane. I'm talking about Sohee quietly waking up an hour before you to do the laundry and make you a cup of coffee, driving for two-hours so you could visit the beach you really wanted to go to, going for pottery classes so he could make a flower vase just for you.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He doesn't really think before he does things, and there are times that results in him getting himself hurt. You need to be there to remind him that doing tricks on a skateboard is more dangerous and difficult than it looks from YouTube videos.

Sohee doesn't really care about his looks. He focuses more on his personality and his attitude and how to improve it instead.

Not really, unless you've been apart from each other for a really long period of time. He's an independent boy, but he still needs his kisses before bed and someone to hug.

Sohee's very spontaneous. He could go from taking a nap on the couch to waking up and deciding to go rock climbing. It took you some time to get used to it, but now you're his partner in crime for his adventures.

The Devildom's weather was hard to predict (if you weren't Beel), so imagine his surprise when you woke him up early on the weekend to go… iceskating?

It’s not like iceskating was a totally foreign concept to him. He knew humans enjoyed it during cold weather but he never imagined doing it himself.

He stopped to look at the frozen lake as you breezed past him, too excited to check your surroundings.

Before you could even step foot (or skate) on the ice, Mammon grabbed your arm, pulling you fully back on land.

“Are you crazy! Yer just gonna go on that lake without checking the ice? This is the first damn time, be careful!” He scolded you.

You rolled your eyes, gently pulling away from his grip and onto the ice.

“I asked Barbatos and he said that it was fine.” You stomped as hard as you could on the ice to prove your point.

“Also this isn’t my first time?” You raised your eyebrow in a teasing fashion as he frowned. “Wait.. don’t tell me..Is this your first time iceskating?

He quickly got closer to the edge, sporting pink cheeks (either from the cold or from embarrassment). “No, it’s not! I, uh… ya just looked so excited I thought it was yer first time or somethin'.”

He was talking so fast that you could barley understand what he was even grumbling about. But he didn’t give you enough time to process his words, as he took a step on the slippery surface.

Due to his uncalculated actions, Mammon immediately lost balance making him stumble and fall on his ass in no time.

Oh, only Diavolo knew how badly you wanted to laugh in that moment. But you didn’t (read: tried not to).

You skated towards the embarrassed demon and offered your hand to him. He just stared back with uncertainty at your gesture, clearly upset by his own blunder.

You knew him long enough to not let him dwell in his own pity, so you reached down and engulfed his gloved hands in your own, helping him up.

But even when he was up, you didn’t let go.

“Even the great Mammon can’t be good at everything immediately, let’s do it together!”

Mammon shyly nodded. Maybe cold weather and iceskating isn’t that bad when you are around.

In all honesty I could see this situation as a constant back and forth, for you as well as Deuce

"Hey (Y/N) could you help me with this?" He'd ask sheepishly. " I kind of zoned out when professor Crewel was discussing this..." His voice trailed but you couldn't help but form a small smile.

Hanging out with the rest of the first years was fun and all but often times it led to just the two of you talking endlessly about your guys' interests and many other topics. Which in turn amplified the growing feeling in your heart.

But as the two of you started to get closer, it also amplified that one nagging thought in your head

'You still have to go home...'

You would get this random sting in your chest every time you hang out with Deuce especially when the two of you are laughing. Which in turn made your smile falter for a quick sec.

"-And Epel came running forward cuz Ace..." His voice would trail as he would noticed something off with you but continued on thinking that you might just be drained from the day.

Deuce is a smart guy just not academically but almost everyone can agree that he'd take note of people's expression here and there.

His suspicions would only grew as your behavior continued to falter each time he tries to get close to you.

He wouldn't confront you at first, perhaps in fear of being too invasive. no. He'd be more attentive, be more caring towards you in hopes you'd cheer up.

But you already know it does the opposite.

You wanted to smile and enjoy the moment... but the thought of seeing him hold back tears as he'd eventually have to see you walk through the Mirror of Darkness one last time gutted you every time.

Your overthinking led you to isolate from him, distracting yourself from the pain instead of facing it head on out of fear that it would ruin that joyous smile of his. But of course, Deuce's confusion was stirring him like crazy for days on end to the point Ace had to butt in

"Dude... if you're that frustrated with (Y/N), go ask them!" Ace groaned. " You've been looking constipated about it for the whole day. If you think something's wrong, go do it before some classmate gets the wrong impression of your face."

Ace was actually worried about the two of you so

"It's nothing to be concerned about Deuce!" You yelled out.

"nothing to be concerned about??" Deuce snapped. "(Y/N) You still continued to help despite me asking you about the same goddamn question cuz I couldn't get it through my thick head."

"YOU helped me out when picking gifts when I wanted to send some back home. " And you always do this thing where'd you glance at me whenever Ace jokes about my shitty past. Do you have any idea what that does to me?"

"Of course I'd be concerned about the person that stuck by me, when they well...aren't there by my side anymore.

If tears weren't already there, there is now

Deuce would still hate himself for making you cry in that moment as he'd try to comfort you.

In that moment in between your sniffled cries, you explained yourself all the while Deuce held you tighter.

"Why not...take the leap?" He interjected. You looked at him confused. "I mean, gotta live with no regrets and all" He chuckled. "Even if...you still wanna go back home, of course I'll be sad but at least it happened-we happened y'know?"

"You'd be okay with that?" You look up at his teal eyes, the look of determination that made you fall for him in the first place.

Once the relationship is established, I could wholeheartedly see it as a bright one. Sure, there would be times where you or even Deuce himself would breakdown knowing what comes out at the end but there's always reassurance even some butting in from friends Ace.

Deuce would still have that small ounce of hope that you'd stay but he'll respect your decision no matter what.

Hello! so you’re like one of the very few blogs I know that has a better understanding of c!schlatt- and I just kinda wanted to know what he’s all about! :D I don’t 100% trust the general understanding the fandom has for him (for the very reason that some people think vilbur is even accurate to canon) and I was interested in what you know! :)

Oh anon!! Tysm that's so sweet of you to say :D it's crazy to think I am one of The c!Schlatt Guys to some people. This rant gets p long so I’m putting it under the cut sorry this took so long lollllllll

It's pretty fair to not trust the fanon understanding of c!Schlatt because...well, it's not great. Generally, people see him as just a horrible, abusive monster and an absolute villain up until the end, which...isn't the full story, imo. c!Schlatt to me shows off some of the ugliest parts of humanity, and what happens when you refuse to better yourself and accept help

There's a steady decline to c!Schlatt. As the DSMP goes on, he becomes more unstable and a lot more paranoid, not even trusting the people in his own cabinet. He loses himself in his own addiction that he only relies on because he's in so much pain all the time, as seen in Fundy's "A Spy's Diary". Quoted directly from that:

"Schlatt has a severe addiction to alcohol and cigarettes to suppress his aching body. He is unwilling to get it checked due to his pride. If the symptoms progress, he might suffer fatal consequences." (Page 17)

"Schlatt is incapable of swimming. After further inspection it seems to be a form of muscle atrophy. He uses protein supplements to regain a viable level of strength. He seems to get weaker by the day." (Page 18)

He was too prideful to get any help for his illnesses, so he continued to spiral downward. His treatment of others led to him dying in a van, surrounded but alone since everyone at that point pretty much hated him. It's sad, tragic even, because it didn't have to be this way, but it was

Still, this isn't to say Schlatt doesn't do horrible things. The way he treats people—Quackity, Niki, and Tubbo in particular—is terrible. There's the festival where he executes Tubbo, but there's also his heavy taxation and singling out of Niki, and the abuse he constantly bombards Quackity with. There's this clip I always think of where Q is trying to propose to Schlatt, and Schlatt's ignoring him and brushing him off up until Q threatens to leave. Then, he puts on this sweet voice and goes "where are you going? come back!" only to call Quackity a flatty patty when he does. (clip here.) It's cruel!

Schlatt is such a fascinating antagonist because he knows just how to get under everyone's skin. His cruel pettiness is absolutely perfect for everyone involved (especially someone like c!Wilbur), and the best part about it is how he does everything in such a fucking funny way

That's the thing. c!Schlatt isn't this cold, unfeeling monster that just abuses everyone around him—nor is he constantly shouting at people and hitting them. He's calm, collected, and he's funny. He's able to make you feel like you're being unreasonable, and he's able to rally people against you because of his charisma. It's so cool! I love it. I love this guy so much even though he kind of sucks

But, like I said, to say that he's just A Villain does him a bit dirty I think. His addiction and chronic illness plays such an important part to his story, and I think it's a disservice to have it go unmentioned. He's a guy with a lot of problems that did some really shitty things, and isn't that just perfect for the DreamSMP?

TLDR: c!Schlatt did a lot of shitty things but calling him just a one note villain does a bit of disservice to his character imo. He’s my little bah bah blorbo etc etc

san found it extremely odd. that the cats behind the cafe he managed weren't really eating the food he set out for them for the night. c'mon, they were cats, he knew they were gluttons (who were adorable), so something was definitely off.

it finally clicked in his head that someone was feeding them after hours, around the time he would shut down shop and before he got out to feed them to ensure that the stray cats had at least something to sustain themselves for the night.

he was a little happy that someone was caring for the cats, but he was a bit distrustful at the same time. but from the times he's seen the cats and interacted with them, it seemed like they were healthy so he cast away that thought for a bit.

finally, the mystery behind who had been feeding the cats behind the cafe had been solved after he spotted a figure, squatting down in front of some of the cats, making some soft 'pspsps' noises in hopes of getting them to come a little closer.

"i brought toys! and snacks," they said, their hand moving to rummage into their bag to take a cat feather toy out and three cans of tuna, setting them down quietly and as slowly as they could in order to not startle the cats.

at the same time, san was approaching, trying not to startle you. he softly cleared his throat, your head immediately turning to look behind him as your body reacted on its own, stumbling and eventually causing you to fall on your butt.

"oh, dear. i didn't mean to scare you. my bad," san blurted out sheepishly, a little surprised and very amused by your reaction. he held his hand out, which you graciously accepted to get up.

"oww.. well... that was embarrassing," you said with a soft laugh, trying to somehow divert his attention away from you falling on your ass.

"a little bit, but it happens to the best of us," san replied with that signature smile of his, in a way to try to reassure you. your face was definitely flushed, as if you just downed a gallon of beer in a minute.

"i would hope so," you responded, trying to find something else to say, before san spoke up.

"so, you've been the one who's been feeding the cats too, i presume?" san asked, raising an eyebrow as he crossed his arms, eyes flitting from you, to the cats behind you and back to you.

"yeah, i can't really help it. they're just so cute. worth spending my paycheck on," you said with a grin, before you stepped back to return your attention to the cats. "not to sound creepy, but, uh, i know you."

"how so?" san replied almost immediately, his interest piqued by your statement.

"you're the manager of this cat cafe, right? i see you around sometimes. my friend is a regular and sometimes i tag along for free food," you admitted, almost a little embarrassed. you were basically admitting that you were a freeloader, but the chuckle from san made you feel at ease almost immediately.

"well, i wouldn't be saying no to free food either. mind if i squat next to you?" san questioned, moving to squat down next to you after you nodded.

before long, cats were basically swarming san, rubbing up against his jeans and making the most adorable purring sounds. you couldn't help but feel envious of the bond between him and the cats, but you understood that it was because he had known them longer, after all.

"quick question. how long have you been feeding the cats here?" you asked, moving to pick up the feather toy to hand over to san, who took it and started to swing it around gently, the cats mesmerized by the movements and jumping up to grab the furry end of the toy.

"mmm, a year or two? i started working here and i would see them meowing and stuff while i took out the trash, so i would just feed them. no harm in doing so, right?" san answered honestly, continuing to absentmindedly play with the cats, his free hand moving to pat a few of them. "what about you? how long have you been feeding them?"

"i think, maybe, a month or so? i was on my way back from my tutoring session, and i took a detour to try to get home quicker, and i just stumbled upon this place," you responded, peeling open a can of tuna to pour the contents into one of the metal bowls. "sorry. you must have found it weird that the cats already seemed full every time you came out to feed them."

"oh, no, it's okay! i mean, i'm happy the cats are being cared for by someone else but me. i wish i could just bring them all home, you know?" san said, shaking his head slightly as he watched you curiously.

"i totally get you. pity that we can't, huh?" you said, turning back to face the male who was nodding. "am i holding you up right now or...?"

"ah, no. i've already closed up the cafe and i was just going to feed the cats and head home. but, i think talking to you is more interesting for now," san said with a small smirk, watching as you spluttered from his compliment. "oh! i forgot to introduce myself. i'm san. choi san."

"i'm (l/n) (y/n). it's nice to meet you," you replied, more embarrassment setting in after you realized that you embarrassed yourself even before he knew your damn name.

"nice to meet you too. you've got a cute name, by the way," san said, now getting up to brush his pants off, still with the pink feather toy in his hand.

"you've got a cute name too," you replied shyly, also getting up alongside him. it was a little difficult for san to try not to tease you, but he reminded himself that you two weren't close friends yet. well, he hoped that the both of you would become friends soon. "i hope to see you around more? i'll make sure to come around this time more often."

"i would love that. thanks for chatting with me, and again, sorry for scaring you," san said with an almost infectious grin, handing the cat toy back to you.

"oh, hah, i kind of forgot about that. you're forgiven," you said in a teasing manner, putting the toy away before nodding your head slightly. "it's really is getting late, i should go. see ya!"

you waved at the male, making sure to watch your step as you walked (kind of run-walked, actually) away.

san knew that he wanted to see you again, of course. weirdly enough, that conversation was soothing and it was nice to have a genuine chat with someone once in a while. now, to wait and hope that you stuck to your word.

mainly stays with nagi, chigiri, kunigami, and bachira and they just talk throughout the night

(bachira only sits down and talks after his energy dies down. i'll elaborate on this below the cut).

keeps asking nagi “what song is this?” throughout the night LOL. makes a mental note of what songs to add to his playlists.
