2/100 days of productivity

yesterday was a rock bottom reset day. cleaned my room, re-organized my desk area (seen above! finally functional again!), and did a few loads of laundry etc. i'm a bit behind on my assignments, but the weather's supposed to suck this weekend, so i think i can lock in & catch up then which will be good. gonna try a bit harder to keep my room out of disarray this time around 🤞🤞 because i feel SO much better and more put together when it isn't an absolute wreck!!!

things i did today:

cleaned up room, vacuumed, & re-organized desk

did laundry !!! AND put it away on the same day #win

refilled my brita & washed the dishes

found my apple watch & re-set it

did my daily duolingo

life update: at the start of September I was told I couldn’t study psychology anymore (after 2 part-time years!!) due to changes in my course structure. After crying literally all day, I enrolled in a Parisian university to study B2 level French, and studied hard for the entrance exam. I passed, and then my psych uni got back to me, saying they will make an exception, so I can continue to major in psych again. I’m not sure how I’ll balance 15 psych and 35+ french credits this year between 3 universities, but it seems like everything works out in the end.❤️

I Deleted TikTok Today... 🥳️

TikTok has been slowly destroying my life for what feels like my lifetime. I decided I need a change, I can't continue to sped half of my days doom scrolling and maladaptive daydreaming. I keep getting the "productivity challenge" recommended to me on Tumblr so I think this is a sign to revive my blog and get my shi together.

30 sept - 3 oct 2023. 8-11/100 days of productivity 🍁

dear god i'm so bad at updating daily 😔 i have been very tired from shifts. at 30 sept, i had night shift at the emergency department, which went peacefully until the exact hour i was supposed to clock out the next morning. an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patient went in bleeding from the head from impact. i was at my 12th hour and i'm worried i didnt put enough force to my compression (excuses, excuses). it's been a while since i did any strength training to my upper extremities, too.

i went home and rested for a while. then i went out to watch iu's concert replay. i was so sleepy but it was the only hour available to me. it was amazing. iu was incredible. i started sobbing at the third song vshsjdn... i didnt know much of the new songs but when songs released 12+ years ago started being played, i got hyped lol. there's good day, story only i didnt know, and you & i. i wished she had sang lost child and dear name as well, though (altho i understand that it may be too old to the youngins). the strawberry moon was amazing!! i have seen the air balloon from photos but it still looked incredible.

the next days i took the train to the next town. my team has been stationed in a periphery hospital near the country. it was an old hospital, the ward buildings dated back to the colonial east indies, with labyrinthine corridors and cathedral ceilings. We introduced ourselves to the nurses and residents and consultants and set to work.

i didn't study much. I reviewed some topics on the go, and did some MCQs (paediactric respiratory, endicronology, immunology). I intend to do cardiology next when i'm not too tired.

song of the day(s) - "eat your young" by hozier and "moon" by my aries twin king jonghyun. it was the first time i listened to eat your young and im obsessed! i intend to squeeze every last bit of serotonin out of it. hozier's falsettos are really beautiful, and it reminded me of someone else who did his falsettos beautifully. moon is my all-time favorite jonghyun song, it was both written and composed by him. it's almost entirely sang in falsetto, and it's heavenly and very very sexy. i like to play it in the car when driving in a dark highway, it makes me feel like an astronaut in her pod. i wish it has the popularity end of the day has, but its inherent non-coverability makes sure that it will stay obscure forever. also because it's jonghyun's, the studio version will never compare to the live version (the same way both crazy and end of the day's studio version will never reach the soil the live version walks on). sad news is that there's no official video of moon's live version, there's only a bit of a rearranged version of it from jonghyun's last concert in a shitty, shaky fancam. it sounded so good and i would pay some good money for it but sm is a very stupid company making very stupid decisions. may Allah protect all the alive artists of sm from their stupidity. anyway listen to my darling boy's songs 🔫 im so serious. you wont regret it. (i have such a tender affection for him, and even now my dreams of him are happy) (ariana we're really in it rn, and so on and so forth etcetera etcetera).

today is day 2/4 of final review. it was a day spent resisting the urge to do ANYTHING other than that...and getting confused. and feeling overwhelmed/reaalllyyy nervous bc it seems i always get this way around finals szn 😪

the better part of the day was spent trying to figure out the last bit of module 1...i did some more practice questions on solubility but i still need MORE practice bc for some reason how to solve those questions is just all messy and disorganized in my brain.

the remainder was spent reading my notes on module 2 and adding a few more things to the cheatsheet. i have 4 pages left. it seemed okay so far but i got a number of questions wrong on the quiz for this module so i gotta see if i remember how to do them right this time...

-> my to-read has been moved to the side of my bed. i want to read before i go to sleep rather than watching videos like i usually do.

-> convergence/divergence homework and practice. working downstairs to keep my dogs company since they're scared of the storm.

-> a mixed media of a broken, burning home. i would rather do math than deal with that chaos all the time- easier to shut myself away in my studies.

-> it's rained all week and this window + spiral staircase is the most aesthetic spot in my house.

It was such a beautiful day today and I spent the whole day inside reading :P I'm looking forward to having a little time back after exams to enjoy my weekends! Did make vegan pesto for the first time today using the (wilty 😢 bc I waited too long) basil plant that my friend gave me from her garden! I took a few cuttings as well that hopefully I'll be able to propagate into my very own basil plants.

Plan currently: Finish as much of the texts in my in progress list as possible in the next two days, then dedicate the following day + morning to reviewing notes

🐚 day 2 of 100 productivity challenge Tuesday January 02 🌊

Waking up after more or less 3/4 hours of sleep, but was good, really good the motivation for this, and make me start my day with a big smile on my face.

I spent most of the early morning searching to relax and feeling better, because I'm a little bit sick, fortunately I've done it and so I could do my handwriting exercise of the day; in the meanwhile I brush my hair in a messy braid that turn out pretty good and was comfortable for doing my cardio exercises.

Today I don't read anything at all, so I was upset about it, but I prefer to do it when I really want and I could appreciate the plot and the story, but drawing relaxed me and so it was all the times.

Bonus of the day I draw a pretty pen sketch on my sketchbook and I finally receive my Sailor Moon action figure which I was looking for many weeks.

What a beautiful day.
