say it with me everybody: personal health is completely immaterial to morality, including mental health. leading a mentally unhealthy lifestyle (or what you perceive as a mentally unhealthy lifestyle) does not a bad person make. no one has to socialize, exercise, have healthy coping mechanisms, or lead (what you perceive as) a fulfilling life with fulfilling hobbies in the same way that no one has to go to the doctor to get a broken bone reset. both of those types of management of personal health are likely to be beneficial to the individual, but they are in no way moral requirements or debts owed to society. they do not actually say anything about a person's principles, personality, or actions towards others. additionally, people know themselves and their own situations better than you do. maybe a person judges that the physical and financial toll of going to the doctor outweigh the benefit of getting their bone reset, maybe a person just does not have the capacity to develop healthy coping mechanisms at this point in their life, and yes, maybe a person feels like they are totally fulfilled by "media based" hobbies alone and would feel no difference in their life if they picked up a loom. just like. let people be sick without accusing them of being representative of the lazy, degenerated state of modern society.

emma stone as cruella de vil in 'cruella' (2021). riveting, harrowing monologue i think about on the daily three years later ... be it not for the confines of disney (love cruella, love the themes, makeup, costume, and hair are everything, but the film as a whole is not oscar worthy, unfortunately) this performance could've and should've gotten her an oscar nomination.

the shame and cringiness in the jupiter ascending letterboxd, with people “admitting” they liked it and then giving it 2 stars, as if it’s not solidly doing exactly what it ought to and giving all of these people a good time

as if letterboxd is a place where you can only rate the objectively best movies highly and you don’t have a million b-z-movies that have been given 4 stars unironically by fond viewers (such as myself) 

let yourselves say that you were moved dammit! what are you trying to prove here, that this movie doesn’t deserve your affection? if you’ve seen it 3+ times and intend to do so again, then maybe you like the movie!

Sonya approaches him to listen to him, he misses his family and thinks that he is not in the right place, so Lord Raiden approaches them and tells Cole that he deserves to be there, because his ancestor was Hanzo Hasashi, and he is surprised.

SUMMARY: Set in 1998, this origin story explores the secrets of the mysterious Spencer Mansion and the ill-fated Raccoon City.

The mod likes this cast, but as a fan of the games, she's not too sure about this movie, you'll have to let her know if it's any good.

Warner Bros. has announced that the theatrical release of Dune: Part Two has been delayed to March 15, 2024 amid the on-going SAG-AFTRA strike. The film was originally set to be released on  November 3, 2023.
