Perfect Blue Review!
So! Firstly, I want to say that this movie, stylistically, was phenomenal. The art was amazing. However, it was also very hard to watch.
I would rate it a 7/10, purely because it contains a lot of extremely heavy subject, such as walking, mental health and SA. So yea, this is your trigger warning for if you watch this movie.
Spoilers from here on :
So, I watched this with two of my friends, and I had to leave for both of the SA scenes. Yes there’s two of them. I don’t watch stuff with that subject as it isn’t fun to watch and is triggering for me. Plus, I find it unnecessary most of the time. Here however, it was very much part of the horror and depiction of Mima’s (I cannot remember her full name) deterioration. But that made it all the harder to watch and I just hid in my other friend’s room and invaded their video conference (important stuff).
From what I can tell, it was necessary to the plot, but it was very graphic (I have been told) and I wouldn’t watch those parts.
Because of all of this though, I have to rate it lower because I don’t like those themes, even if they do add to the story. Art and style give it higher rating, otherwise it would get a 0/10
Anyways. Because it’s such a difficult watch, I can’t really talk too much. If you get triggered by that stuff, do not watch this movie. It was very difficult to watch.

the confetti for a not guilty verdict is actually the funniest fucking thing about ace attorney
it’s like they inherently know their system is fucked to the to the extent that they’ve got the celebration confetti at the ready when they don’t wrongfully incarcerate someone
edgeworth never lost a trial until he faced phoenix wright so the confetti goes off and he’s probably like what the fuck ppfthh pffth phhh that last bit is him spitting the confetti out of his mouth

Laios saying he's stronger and better organized than Shuro because he eats 3 meals every day and sleeps properly is probably one of the most encouraging things a fictional character has ever said to me

I like to think that Vulcans who come to understand that Humans just can’t try to process emotions the same way as them, it’s just healthiest to let it out in harmless ways, decide that venting and stuff should be taken just as seriously as Vulcan’s meditation time, and will encourage the Humans around them to complain about what’s upsetting them
People who are used to aloof Vulcans who avoid Humans at all cost running into one comforting a Human
“-and then they said my cheesecake was subpar, and they didn’t even bring a dish!!!”
“The purpose of this event was that every participant brings a food item of sorts, correct?”
“Yeah!!”
“And they did not follow this rule while insulting dishes that were brought?”
“Mostly just my dish but yeah >:(“
“How illogical”
“That’s what I’m saying!!!”
