Maaaannnn... I'm so, so, so tired with AI bullshit 😩
I had a bad migraine from the heat, and now this. WARNING: long whining about real life stuff down below, but I need to vent before I explode in their face. Feel free to ignore this cranky old me 🙇‍♂️
A client threw the draft I drew for them into the bullshit machine and asked it to generate a feedback for them. Can you believe it???? Generating a feedback on a drawing they commissioned me to draw for them????
Just a simple " yes I like that" or "no I don't like this, fix it more like this" would be enough. But nooooooooo...
THEY. ASKED. THE MACHINE. TO GENERATE. FEEDBACK. ON THEIR BEHALF.
What the actual fuck is that???????? You are going to outsource your own preferences to the robots too?????? Excuse me????? Then what is the purpose of your brain anymore????? Decoration?????
Why I know that they used the bullshit machine, you ask? Maybe they just, like, blab a lot?
Well, because the feedback they sent me was 2-page long, in bullet points, and UTTERLY NONSENSE about the things I DIDN'T DRAW!!!!
The worst client in the past, who tried to rip me off, at least used their brain to nitpick what I did in the drawing, and at least, those nitpicks somewhat made sense. Not this one. In the whole 2 A4 pages, I can only see ONE logical change, ONE other point seems legit but will clash with the style they want in the first place (like a realistic face on a chibi body), and the rest is 100% unusable.
For example: They told me I shouldn't draw in a flat side or front view to adds depth and makes the scene more dynamic. BUT, o' mighty client, I drew that thing in the 3/4 angle??? like you asked me to do from the start????? They told me to avoid an open mouth or smile, that I should draw a subtle closed frown reinforces a serious, concentrated attitude. BUT, again, the mouth was a flat line already??? What in binary fucking realm are you talking about???? Have you ever seen the drawing with your own two eyes even once????
And last but not least, they threw my drawing into the AI gibberish pot??????? just for this slimy goo vomit they called a feedback????
To be honest, it would be less of an insult if they simply told me to my face that my drawing suckass and they hate it.

For anyone worried about having their hard work replaced with AI, here's a playful reminder that the popular streamer DougDoug forced ChatGPT, the one ADVERTISED TO BE THE SMARTED MACHINE LEARNING PROGRAM, to play through a Pajama Sam game targeted at preschoolers and had to nuke the program a grand total of 26 times because the AI wasn't learning anything from his prompts, but rather it's own INCREASINGLY UNHINGED ramblings.
Anyway, here's the link. Highly recommend the watch. It's hilarious.

Pink Floyd: animated music video contest.
So Pink Floyd had an animated art contest.
"Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon 50th Anniversary Animation Video Competition."
There were a fair amount of good entries, some I thought were going to win BUT guess who won? It was an AI bro, this person won an animation contest by putting in some prompts into a program.
The only thing they made was the tittle card, everything else was all done by a program that uses stolen data.
Tumblr media
This just was so depressing and especially since there were some well made drawn animations.
Like this one here
Tumblr media
I recommend watching their video it's fantastic, it does have nudity but it's nothing sexual. Also go check out the other entries too because these actual artist need the love for their hard work.
Something I also learned is each song was in a category, so there were multiple winners. One of the videos that did lose to that AI one was this one link.
Also very well made and created by a person, not a program but they and others who put in for that song lost.
Overall, knowing that someone won an animation contest and didn't do any animating. Over the people who spent months working on a animated music video, with there own hands and skills.
It just makes me question, what's the point in entering these contest? When it seems an Ai generated entry will always win.
Note: Also they know it's AI generated because the guy who won, literally said he used an AI generator.

Yeah, alright, no. No don't this. I'll do you a few fucking better and teach you right here and now how to do this: You game? Blurb and lesson time. Got you. First up, a SPOOC. This is one technique that can be expanded (gonna give you examples too). WRITING LESSONS AHOY:
SPOOC = Situation, protagonist, objective, obstacles/opponents, climax/cost. So, when Frodo Baggins (protagonist) inherits the Ring of Power (Situation), he must set out on a quest to destroy it (objective). But, will he succeed when the forces of sauron and saruman unite and
try to reclaim the one ring and use its power to destroy Middle Earth (climax - cost if failure). This specific example is taught by Jim Butcher so if you want some weight behind it. There you go. It works. Want to know how to do a blurb? Practice, but check it:
Who is it? What's going on?
Why should we care?
What happens if the hero fails?
If you can, end on a snappy one liner or question. You can open on one too or a question like it.
What do shadows darting across the walls, cryptic writing, black fog, and a little girl who can see ghosts have in common? Paranormal investigator and soul without a body, Vincent Graves, has forty-four hours to find out. To make matters worse, his years of body-hopping and monster-hunting are catching up with him. He's losing his mind. An old contact has shut him out. To top it all off, something's skulking through an asylum, killing patients. Three guesses who might be next, and the first two don't count. The writing on the wall is not so clear. But one thing is: if he doesn't figure this out he's a dead man--well, deader--and a strange young girl might follow. Vincent's got his back against a wall, and that wall's crumbling. Some days it's not worth it to wake up in someone else's body.
That's Grave Measures - book two in my urban fantasy detective series. Who is it - covered. What's going on? Why should we care (the stakes to the protagonist and more). The costs. And the above.
It's not rocket science, and doesn't have to be.
Here's one from book three:
Don't make deals with the paranormal. They're better at it than you, and they never play fair. Paranormal investigator and soul without a body, Vincent Graves, did just that—a deal made in desperation. Now it's coming back to bite him in the middle of a case. He has 57 hours to investigate a string of deaths involving people who've made some devilish bargains. Too bad devils don't deal in good faith. It'd be easy enough, if he didn't have to deal with things such as: - Being hunted through the streets of Queens by a dark elf with a motorcycle fetish. - Ending up the target of a supernatural hit. - An old acquaintance dragging him to a paranormal ball where he could end up on the menu. - And having one of his closest guarded secrets brought to light... Not great for a tight clock, because if he doesn't get to the bottom of this case in time, Vincent and company might just lose their souls. Dirty deals are never done dirt cheap. And the supernatural always collect—big!
Same formula. A lot of fiction uses it. You just might not realize it. You don't need a fucking AI. You need a few minutes every day of practice. You got that. You got this!
With SPOOC, you can outline a whole damn novel.
You get a snappy two-liner pitch to sell with. YOu can expand it into summaries for each book to make up LOTR in this case or your series.
Then you can reverse engineer and keep expanding each summary. It does it for you.

Hi guys, happy new year! Turns out my final essay in a class got failed (which made me fail the course since it’s worth 35%) because Turnitin marked it as AI. I’m not sure what to do except write an email (which just got sent!) and see how that goes. Wish me luck!

I'm dead tired
I was late, almost 2 weeks have passed since the deadline I told y'all about.
First of all, The Heat fried my brain, and my personal laptop, which had the completed next chapter of Doppelganger; so yeah, just one poof and all the effort went down the drain. I had to draw it again from scratch, half way done. I hope I can finish it today. See?
Tumblr media
Folks, I can not stress this enough, BACK UP YOUR WORK REGULARLY, or you will regret it, it's going to hit you when you least expect it. Don't be like me, alright?
Second, I was very busy, cleaning up after the messes my old clients created in their own projects by using AI.
As an illustrator, let me give you one real advice: I don't care if you use AI to generate images for online clout, NEVER use it for your serious work, especially anything which requires high level of accuracy e.g. an instruction manual.
It's 90% useless, the only useful part is the color palette, nothing else. Those images looked quite good at first glance, but when you zoomed on details, they made no sense, like, unidentified parts that connected nowhere, etc. Even if you told the Ai bros to give you the source file, it was completely uneditable, or in other words, USELESS.
Then, you would still have to go back to your old human illustrator and ask for help anyway. That thing would have to be redrawn to have any uses at all. And you would be charged double the usual fee, because I would have to do a lot of research to make your AI messes become understandable. A huge waste of our time and resources which could be avoided if you gave that project to us artists in the first place.
I agreed to accept this fixing gig because I wanted to see first hand the quality of work AI can do, knowing your enemy and all that shit. After doing all these work? I think the money was not worth it.
So no more fixing AI images in the foreseeable future, too troublesome for my taste.

You do know that Ai is like, extremly bad for the environment right?
You do know that AI has potential benefits for the environment as well, right?
Optimization and Efficiency:
AI can be used to optimize energy usage in industries, reduce waste, and improve supply chains, potentially lowering emissions across sectors.
Smart grids powered by AI can make renewable energy more viable by predicting energy demands and efficiently distributing resources.
Climate Modeling:
AI helps scientists analyze vast datasets to improve climate change predictions and create more effective mitigation strategies.
Reduction in Commuting:
AI-powered remote work tools reduce the need for commuting, cutting down transportation-related emissions.
Sustainability Efforts in AI
Renewable Energy:
Many tech companies invest in renewable energy for their data centers to offset emissions.
Efficient Algorithms:
Researchers are developing more energy-efficient models and techniques, like low-resource training and model distillation, to reduce the carbon footprint of AI.
Recycling Hardware:
Promoting recycling and reusing old components reduces the environmental toll of manufacturing new hardware.
AI, like any technology, can be a double-edged sword. While it has a measurable environmental footprint, it also holds immense potential to drive sustainability and combat climate change if used thoughtfully.

Guess what was posted on ArtStation.
I will let this screenshot speak for it self but note to make these you need a photo of the person you want so keep that in mind.
Tumblr media
This was posted on ArtStation a website meant to help ARTIST get jobs and create a portfolio.
Now it's becoming like DeviantArt, a place for AI generated image, trolls and pervs who just want to get off on some deepfake po*n.
It's very sad and disgusting.
