I miss the days where the aus were wildly out of sync with the actual story when all we had was a few names a few tapes #and we all went wild making our versions of the story and characters and then got so attached to them we doubled down #when canon didnt deliver on em #umm oops this is long have a great new year folks! hi clari! after reading ur posts about being a film and basically lit major i was curious about why u decided to study film at a university level n how it ties into ur “story” if u know what i mean

hello!! hmm i’m not like 100% sure what you mean by story (like, as in the story of my life???) but i decided to study film at a university level because i love cinema with everything in me and planned to work in the industry in any way, whether that be in production or distribution or exhibition or on an even more academic level (it’s a dream of mine to create my own film journal and publish academic pieces written by women).

my goals have changed a little now—i still love cinema, and i’d still die to work in the industry, but i’m currently more focused on creating (writing for) indie games + publishing novels & collections of short stories. everything i studied in school + the skills i developed n sharpened there are still helpful and applicable to these fields as well so!! i definitely do not regret my degree at all and i’m really happy i went with it! c: i also loved my program so so so much <3

#fun fact i did start off as a video editor #but then covid hit :((#anyway my goals have changed now #the main goal has always been the same and that is just to work in art in general #but the film industry is literally IN THE GARBAGE right now #like it’s so awful #hopefully one day in the future we’ll have some sort of resurgence there #but for now i’m focusing my efforts on other fields #i’d also love to work as a curator for tiff #or even just at a production / distribution company on the admin side #anything rly!!!#but yeah! that’s why i chose film #it’s great because so many video game publishers are looking for people with cinema degrees #because the study translates quite well especially in this day and age where we don’t yet have many full courses/programs dedicated to vgs #as a a whole medium??? i like to call them the cousin of cinema #and i did study them in my own degree #so!!!#hope ur havin a good thursday anon! <3 #stay safe n stay hydrated <3 #inky.bb #clari gets mail

my 2 cents that no one asked for but sometimes i see ethnicity hcs for the td characters and i notice that a lot of ppl hc courtney as mixed latina and asian of some variety (usually south asian, somehow specifically bengali which piqued my interest...as a bengali) but i remember that it was around tdas or something that fresh posted these like. bios or some shit and they like Forgot that courtney was previously stated to be latina n listed her as asian. or maybe it was a tweet from tom mcgillis or smth i don't remember exactly but! i get now these days ppl are like oh just make her Mixed. All Canon! and if i were to have gotten into total drama post-tdas i probably would say the same HOWEVER. AS A SOUTH ASIAN i dont like south asian courtney she's fully latina to me and that's how i've always seen her i can't change it

#i just feel like the cultural pressures on her are a little different if she were latina vs south asian #& i find it more compelling if she's latina idk. like i love her there are components to her personality that i relate to a lot #but honestly she'd be veryyyyyy far removed from the culture if she's sposed to be bengali for example.#NONE of the bengali women ik act like courtney at all.#i say this AS a bengali who goes to a college w an unusually large bengali population specifically #& also i live in an area w/a high latino population and i did in high school too #i think if ur gonna bother w hc'ing a character of a certain nationality u should like. do it with thought right like #their relationship with their culture etc ESP if they're in a country like canada or the us #and courtney at the start of the show is obv a very repressed rule follower...#she learns to let go later both to have fun w duncan in tdi but also to be angry and scrappy in tda #my mom and i are the only bengalis i know who openly express that kind of rage LMAO #and my mom is like. a Very rebellious bengali woman she's prudish by american standards but she heavilyyyyyy rejects her heritage #point is. courtney would be different if she were desi i think.#if she's only latina you don't have to remove her from having or participating in cultural values or traditions #which i think is somewhat in line with her character. she's not Uber traditional but i can't see her as deliberately rejecting all of it #anyways. this was much longer than i meant for it to be #i just have so many thoughts #point is i hc courtney to be puerto rican <3 #i have also seen venezuelan hcs and i like that too #shut up mega #LMAO

SO he was a priest right and one popular with the corpos that were employed by 'saka in NC. well, he started speaking ill of the company and selling company intel to their rivals when the employees would go to confession. so like..... he had to go u know? blah blah talk ill of the corp u get zeroed etc etc. they devised a genius plan to have him marry them, when she says "you may kiss the bride" they do of course buuuuut they also zero him in the process while he's distracted.. and they did just that! and it worked! hinata and oda yank out their mantis blades and the deed was done <3. every great wedding ends in someone getting flatlined right?

🖊 - so this second one will sort of be what i think in theory how she’ll be in phantom liberty? so if this is a post game thingy hideo (her charge and her and odas adopted son bc SOMEONE has to and it sure ain’t his brother yori sjzjhzhx) will be ceo as his brother is to step down and is put on house arrest in a time out bc of the coup ksjzjxhxh. if vika ends up having to take on ‘saka again it may mean that the besties turn into adversaries which would BREAK my heart but also be absolutely EHEM *nova* if the white widow and worlds coolest cyberninja faced off u know? 🖊 - YAY MARI U SAINT U I ADORE U SM I’ve been wanting to scream about her for literal years slzkxjxj she’s been around for a WHILE living in the head along with vika rent free with luxury room service <3 she was like a blob of like ✨vibes✨ like with the red aesthetic and the red hair for YEARS until i found the perfect fc and name? a little lore into her design color and symbolism is a HUUGE part of her character development and design? the way as growing up she wore a lot of neutrals and it was deliberate as she wished to be as out of sight as possible? then it was as if a switch flipped following a near depth experience in a deep dive into what was the pre data crash net. red is passionate it’s power it’s so much more and all what she wished to be. she became the red queen and faked her charismatic nature until she forgot where the old nadya ended and the red queen began. for the version of her she conveyed to the world and her true nature became one and the same. <3 lilith killed eve the day she became the red queen.

🖊 - OO okay this’ll be the fun one.. for this one we will be discussing! nadyas………. “lovers.” shes got three in her character arc that hold the most meaning to her both good and bad. those would be: y*orinobu (HUUGE) johnny (VERY) and r*ache (VERY and also painful!). if i for sure need to do a deep lore dive essay into the meaning of people in her life especially these three. but in essential the tropes to best depict them are for sure “mutual obsession inevitable downfall” for yori and nadya. “right person wrong time and rivals to lovers” for her and johnny. and! pain pain and suffering “tragic doomed lovers” for nadya and rachie <3
