I love the duo, both the historical setting and modern AU. Does Vasco ever go to confession while Machete is running it, just to 'confess' to something they did before as a way to tease?

How Telehealth Can Help Active Duty Services Members Find Recovery
Tumblr media
Active-duty service members face many challenges when it comes to accessing medical care, including counseling and therapy. Similar to veterans, active-duty members can suffer from disorders that are often triggered by trauma, grief, and Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD). Additionally, receiving treatment for substance use disorders or mental health disorders can be extremely challenging due to geographical matters. Fortunately, many rehab locations offer military telehealth for active duty who are struggling with addiction or mental health disorders.
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth refers to the delivery of healthcare services via technology. In rehab facilities, telehealth for addiction and mental health utilizes devices with internet and webcam access such as desktop computers, laptops, or mobile phones to connect patients with their physicians and counselors. Telehealth services at Banyan Treatment Centers provide counseling and individual therapy sessions with staff trained to address active-duty personnel.
The Rise of Telehealth Services Due to the Pandemic
Due to the pandemic, communities have been required to social distance, and fear of contracting the Covid-19 virus has surged, making the necessity for telehealth services more critical than ever before. Seeking medical attention or counseling has become much easier with the option to employ telehealth services. Many service members are also taking advantage of this treatment option.
Benefits of Military Telehealth for Active Duty
Overcoming addiction or mental illness can be a constant struggle for active-duty service members due to frequent or temporary relocations, and sometimes, the job itself can be a trigger for these conditions. In addition to this, the effects of the pandemic have also contributed to the rise in both mental health disorders and fear of inpatient treatment. With telehealth services, military members are able to benefit in many ways, some of the advantages are listed below.
Easily Accessible
Telehealth is conducted online, which means all the patient needs is a device with internet access. The application used to facilitate these sessions is usually free as well. The program used at Banyan is called Zoom. Not only is this method of treatment accessible, but it also makes it easier to service more military members as well as their families. Banyan Centers are able to extend their services to active duty who are either on deployment or at their home base.
Privacy
Our technology is a HIPPA compliant video conferencing system that enables military members to have private video conference-based visits with their therapists. Patients are also able to enjoy their sessions in a private and comfortable location of their choosing.
Keeps Service Members Accountable
Staying on track in recovery can be complicated when an individual is no longer attending meetings, counseling, or receiving professional support. Telehealth makes it possible for doctors or therapists to continue to monitor service members in recovery. Slipping up in recovery can often lead to harmful circumstances, and telehealth decreases those chances.
The benefits of telehealth services lead to not only continuous support for our patients but also a higher chance of success in your life in recovery. As we begin this new virtual era, telehealth has made a significant impact on the lives of our active-duty service members and a positive change for rehab treatment in the military.

you watched a stray water droplet run down simon’s bicep, and you craned your head to the side, licking it up off of his skin.
he pressed his whole palm onto your wet cheek, smushing his thumb over it with a heavy pressure.
you were so tired from crying. your lips and eyes and face were all puffy. your entire face felt raw and red.
simon had sweetly coaxed you into the bathroom, turning the water on as hot as it could go so the steam could start to clear your stuffy head. he’d pulled you down into the bath after him, settling you between his legs and letting you rest against his chest.
he shushed you and stroked your hair until your chest stopped hitching and breathing calmed down.
“bad day?”
“yeah,” you sniffed, your chest starting to heaven again.
“shhh, shhhh, we don’t have to talk about it. not now.”
you just nodded into him. breathing in and out. that’s all you needed to think about.
the world had gotten to you that day. simon had come home safe from another deployment that week, and you just felt overwhelmed by all the possibilities that didn’t even happen.
you were his tough girl. he took pride in the fact that you could handle it, handle him. but sometimes you just needed to be soft.
you always felt so guilty, crying in front of simon. he went through enough, and it was selfish of you to react to his safety of all things like this.
you turned to face him as much as you could in the confines of the tub, placing both of your hands on either side of his face.
“you’re really here?”
he smiled softly. you stared at the thin sheen of perspiration that glistened on his face from the thick air in the bathroom.
he hummed and you could feel it rumble in his chest.
“you’re stuck with me.”
he was just trying to lighten your mood, but those words meant everything to you. you took a shuddery deep breath and nodded quickly, assuring yourself that it was true.
