i mean yeah that was kind of obvious at the moment i was watching episode 3, but i didn't realize the implications of this particular metaphor until much much later (bc i didn't binged the season), after i watched the end of the last episode.

crowley and the bookshop

crowley doesn't live in the bookshop per se, he doesn't rest there, he doesn't put his plants there, but it is where he spend a good chunk of his time. he's comfortable enough to takes off his sunglasses , meaning he's comfortable being himself there (mostly); the bookshop his anchor, and his world revolves around it.

what's important here is that when tasked with taking care of it without supervision, guarding it and its contents, he changes nothing about it.

i mean he's a bit careless with some books (don't throw them around ahhh!!) but for the most part he does nothing but to keep things as they are. he doesn't try to sell the books, he doesn't rearrange or change the furniture. the one time he does is after the whole business with heaven and hell and gabriel and beelzebub going off together, and he just puts everything back as it was before the party.

crowley loves the bookshop as it is, the same way he loves humanity as it is, the same way he loves aziraphale as he is. he doesn't want aziraphale to change. he takes care of him, helps him with everything he asks of him, is very protective of him; however in the same way he doesn't technically live in the bookshop and isn't a bookseller ("not even at gunpoint"), he has never said how he really feels about aziraphale, despite what his actions indicate.

crowley's love steadfast, and quiet, and there, but never fully realized. same as their relationship. aziraphale has let him in, but not completely. and crowley hasn't dare to take more space than he is allowed, because he doesn't want to lose what they have.

aziraphale and the bentley

in a mirror of how he relates to crowley, aziraphale asks the bentley to do things for him in that kind, authoritative way of his, and they get along fantastically. however when getting unsupervised alone time with the bentley, aziraphale proceeds to change its color, the music it plays, and even adds things to its interior. in its essence, the bentley remains the same, but its make up gets swapped for what aziraphale would like to see, what he thinks it's nice.

the bentley indulges aziraphale, because just like its owner, it's head over heels with him. it'll play aziraphale's music of choice without complain, it'll change his own color and go as fast as aziraphale likes it (which is veeeery slow), and it'll follow him around like a puppy; that's how much the bentley loves aziraphale.

crowley has to scold and demand and threaten aziraphale to get him to change the bentley back. and aziraphale is forced to comply, not because crowley asked, but because his own books were on the line. mercifully, he doesn't try to change the bentley's appearance again, though he still asks it to play him music that isn't beepop.

in retrospective it's glaringly obvious what this is about, which is: aziraphale thinking that crowley should be an angel. more specifically, that since crowley is good, and knows right from wrong better than aziraphale, it must mean that deep down crowley is still an angel. aziraphale just needs to bring it out, to make it happen.

but thing is, i don't think aziraphale realizes that crowley (and the bentley) being good to him in particular doesn't mean they want to be Good in the way aziraphale thinks heaven should be. because there's nothing good about heaven, something that s2 pointed out in more than one occasion.

aziraphale still can't let go of heaven, or distance himself from angelhood the way crowley has let go of hell (and heaven) and demonhood. he was forced to give it up when confronted with the end of the world, but it wasn't by choice. so a part of him still wants to go back; so, when given the chance to do so, he accepts.

this is all part of his character's journey. no matter how many times crowley tells him heaven is toxic, or how many times aziraphale experiences it for himself, he needs to realize it and let go of heaven by choice.

but as for now, he is still trying to pull crowley to his side, back to heaven, because, from his point of view, that's how it should be, because crowley is good! crowley know when to do the right thing! crowley asks questions! so if aziraphale is going to be supreme archangel, he wants to restore crowley to his rightful place, which is high up in heaven, doing good things, inventing things, bringing galaxies to life.

aziraphale's love (presently) is about relying in and allowing crowley to do things for him, about letting him into his safe space, (to a certain limit), doing things with and spending time with crowley, and trying to do what he thinks it's best for crowley. he still can't admit to other people or crowley or himself that they are together even when he says things like "our car", "it's my shop but we both get plenty of use out of it", but that's because he feels shame, and because he still hasn't let go of heaven's ideals and expectations.

which brings us to-

Heaven and God as a metaphor of Home and Family

in a way, what's happened at the end of s2 is that metatron (mom's assistant...?) came back to say "hey so since your big brother (gabriel) has run off with the enemy, we want you to come back to take care of the family business(running things in heaven)." previously crowley had been kicked out for asking questions, has been resentful about the whole thing for millennia, but when asked if he'd want to go back, he is not tempted at all. there's not lost love between him and his the other angels. the two times he sneaked back home(heaven), it didn't look like he was attached, even he was still somewhat familiar with it.

now as for his relationship with mom (God) that's an entire different matter. because he was still cast out for being who he is, for questioning authority, and that's a trauma he still carries with him.

but if crowley was the one that got kicked out, aziraphale is the one that stayed and tried to be as was expected of him. he tried to fit in with his family, even if secretly he was doing things they would frown upon. he'd try not to question authority, he'd be in denial about heaven's cruelty even when it smacks him in the face, because he doesn't want to be kicked out. and when he does get kicked out, somewhat, it's because he had to make a hard choice. but same as crowley, it's not like he wanted to, and he's still an angel, despite his own humanity and all his earthly attachments.

so when given the opportunity to go back home, to take the reins and do things as he thinks they should be done, and consequently be in a good relationship with his family and mom, he says yes. because he thinks that's what he should do, he thinks that's what he wants. mom asked her assistant to tell him that he could come back to run the family business! how could aziraphale say no?

he'll realize he doesn't need heaven, eventually. and he'll make his choice, and once he realizes that Heaven=/=Good, that Love=/=Heaven, he'll be ready to accept crowley as he is, without ever trying to change anything about him. and he'll let crowley in fully.

and they'll finally live together.

One of the biggest is the media collaboration The Solutions Journalism Network, which focuses on just that: closing the massive gap between people reporting on problems and people reporting solutions.

I have a giant bookmark list of sources for this blog, for good news stories and hope, so here's a bunch of links! Roughly in order of how good I think they are (in terms of size of stories, previously uncovered stories, good editorial standards, accuracy, detail, number of stories, etc. etc.)

We're gonna start with the ones that do good news ONLY, because sometimes you fucking need that, and then below I'll link some excellent sources that have a higher than average number of quality pieces on good news, even though they also publish other stuff too.

Good and hopeful news sources:

Future Crunch - If you only read one of these sites, read this one!!! It's a MASSIVE biweekly roundup of international good news stories with really high quality reporting--a lot of UN and WHO and major NGO reports as their sources. I cry from hope at LEAST 30% of the times I read this, and tbh it used to be like 100%, about a year ago when I started realizing that hope for the planet and for humanity was something that was REASONABLE TO HAVE.

Reasons to Be Cheerful - Fewer stories, but FANTASTIC quality of reporting, especially on fantastic local stories, many of them in international communities, that you've definitely never heard of before

Positive.News - Good coverage and especially roundups, mostly Europe-focused.

Good News Network - This one is awesome for the high number and approachability of its stories, but unfortunately also includes more "That's not news that's just a heartwarming anecdote" and "That's not good news it's actually dystopian" pieces than I'd like.

Jane Goodall's Good For All News - Really awesome focus on international issues, a lot of news from Africa, a lot of news about youth organizers and youth-led projects, and a lot of focus on how helping the environment and helping communities are inextricably connected. Yall Jane Goodall is doing SO MUCH amazing work out there even at her age, and most people also have no idea.

Good Black News - Mostly posts on music and entertainment, and doesn't post all that often, but they're great.

Yes! Magazine - Excellent solutions-focused journalism, excellent focus on BIPOC content and underrepresented communities

TheMayor.EU - EU-focused, discusses a lot of good projects and cool local developments/programs

Grist - Solutions journalism, fantastic corage especially on environmental issues

Mongabay - Billed as "News & Inspiration from Nature's Frontline," they are amazing and have some of the best goddamn reporting I've ever seen. They mean "frontline" very literally: there's a TON of pieces about and by and interviewing communities on the front lines of environmental conflict, especially developing nations and Indigenous communities world wide. That said there's also a lot of bad news on nature's frontline still, while they report a lot of amazing and powerful good news, make sure you're in a resilient mood when you visit this site, because some of the stories are also pretty upsetting.

Indian Country Today and Native News Online - two of the leading news orgs for Indigenous communities in the United States. Kind of like Mongabay in that they have a lot of good news stories from Indigenous communities that often no one else is reporting on, but also plenty of coverage of things that are definitely not good, so better to read when you're in a resilient mood.

So with these frames specifically. On the first one, I wanted him to look like he's searching her expression for any shred of remorse or regret or anything to hint that maybe she cares. Then he turns away, bitter, when he finds none.

And ahhhh this frame

This was the frame that got me to make the animatic. I really wanted to draw this out so that's why I started the whole thing haha. I wanted two things out of it: 1. Power imbalance. Their relationship is always gonna pretty unbalanced in terms of authority and power alone. She's a Goddess and he's a man, it's clear who's got the upper hand. 2. I wanted it to look like she was speaking directly into his ear. To show it as a cold, calculated action, and also to have it be emblematic of when advisors or generals whisper strategies to the king. She might have once done the same action to guide him, but now she's doing it to tell him she's done.

And OUGH this frame

So you've probably already caught Telemachus, Penelope, Polites, and Astyanax in the frame. But also. Also. Since this appears in the line "you're just a man", it's like. It's not quite the ghosts of the dead, since Penelope and Telemachus are there. It's more an embodiment of his loss, his weaknesses, really. What he's already lost and what he still stands to lose. He's just a man because he cares and he loves and he yearns. It's his ruin as much as it's his reason to keep fighting, at least in her eyes.

Aizetsu is never picky with what his partner is into. What mattered to him was he managed to find someone who loves and cares for him, but you being goth was a bonus.

Aizetsu loves how you're taller than him. He encourages you to wear your platform boots almost all the time and spoiling you by buying you platforms you want.

Aizetsu likes to watch when you style your afro when you get ready on dates with him and admires how neat and cool your makeup looks every time you do it.

Aizetsu doesn't admit his love for your heigh. He only reassures you that you're perfect for him, but your height gives him the perfect opportunity to alwaus have his face between your boobs when you hug him

Aizetsu knows being goth is mainly about listening to the music. When you're with him in his room, he likes to share his headphones and has you listen to his favorite songs from your favorite bands.

Aizetsu let's you paint his nails. He'd get sad when you reject the idea of painting his nails any other color than black. He still loves it when you paint his nails, especially since it gives him the chance to cling to you by holding your hand after you're done painting his nails on one hand.

Aizetsu lets you do his makeup. He's not toxic with his masculinity, but he also wants to let you do whatever you want with him to make yourself happy.

Aizetsu defends you a lot from others who look at you negatively with your style and likes. He may not reach high enough to put his arm around you, but his arm will go around your waist and glance at the people, almost giving them a death stare if they dare say anything bad about your looks. It's cute to you.

Aizetsu accepts the gifts you give him. He is a jewelry guy, so when you give him skull rings, chokers and etc, he'll always accept them and wears them out in public. It doesn't matter if people make fun of him, so long as it's from you, that's all that matters

Sanerio:

"We are here," Aizetsu parks his motorcycle and takes his helmet off. You let go of his waist and swung your leg over to get off the motorcycle and looked at the building in front of you. "It's just a tattoo place," you said.

Aizetsu gets off his motorcycle and then takes your helmet off for you and fixes your afro. You don't let many people touch your afro, but Aizetsu is very respectful with your hair and has earned your trust to fix your hair for you when it's out of place.

"Well... I overhead a conversation you had with your friend on the phone the other night. You mentioned that you've always wanted to get matching ghost tattoos with an s/o," Aizetsu said as his hand slowly grabbed yours. "It's been 2 years since we've been going out... what do you think about getting matching tats now?"

"Don't you think it's too early for that?" You said and watched as Aizetsu's face turn blue. "I'm kidding" you said and leaned down to kiss his forehead. "If we get these tattoos you're gonna be stuck with me" you said and watched his fearful expression turn into a happy one.

"It would make me extremely happy to be stuck with you. Forever even," Aizetsu said as you pulled him into the tattoo shop.

Sekido

Sekido is the mean. Strict man most wouldn't expect to have such a sweet and loving, hyper feminine partner, but he's only soft with you.

Sekido never cared for the color pink until he saw your hyper femininity for it. He adores how happy you get when he spoils you with the pink, soft things you love.

Sekido gives you the princess treatment. He makes sure to style your afro/braids in cute pigtails, learn how to blush on your cute cheeks, and even paint your nails. If it'd a good day, he'll let you paint his nails pink.

Sekido let's you do a lot of things you wouldn't expect him to let you do. He let's you play with his hair, even putting it in pig tails, doing face masks with him and especially letting you kiss his face with lip gloss on. He doesn't wash off your kiss marks nor take out his hair until he gets home, not matter how "ridiculous" he may look to his brothers.

Sekido wears the cute gifts you make for him. He's not the type to wear anything bright pastel, so when he wears the bracelets, necklaces, and even earrings you make for him, it definitely stands out. If anyone said anything bad about what you made for him, he's threatening to slap them with the same hand that had the bracelet you made on his wrist.

Sekido plans all the dates. You always offer to make the food, but he refuses. He wants to make the cute little sandwiches you love so much, and chocolate covered strawberries you like to feed to him.

Sekido is very calm when he's around you. When you both plan a home date, he insists he'd just come to your house. He adore seeing you in your pink pajamas and having your pink bonnet on your head. The vibe to your room is calming, and he likes to lay his head on your chest while he sleeps with you in your hyper feminine room surrounded by your stuffed animals.

Sekido smiles more when he's with you. He just loves your kindness to him and to others and even loves to see how happy you get over the small things he does for you

Scenario:

You practically begged Sekido to go with you to this beautiful park you saw online for a date idea, despite it drizzing outside since it rained earlier.

"This park is so pretty, Sekido." you said while looking at the flowers in the park and holding his hand. Sekido hums in response. He notices you're waking strange, and he decides to take a look at your skirt.

He notices both of your thigh highs running down your chubby thighs. He sighed and stopped walking, almost making you fall back "easy" he said. "Sorry, but why did you stop?" You asked. Sekido chuckles softly. "You didn't notice you're walking werid? Your thigh highs are falling down."

You looked down and giggled "yes I know, but there's no where for me to sit and fix them since all the benches are wet" you said and tried to bend over right now to fix them. Sekido's hand quickly covers your ass and looks around. "There's a bench right there," he said and took you with him.

"But Sekido, it's wet," you said as you looked at the bench and a worried expression, not wanting to get your white skirt wet. Sekido takes off his leather jacket and places it on the bench. "Sit, I'll fix them," he said. Arguing with Sekido on this was pointless. He was too much of a gentleman towards you.

You watched as Sekido gets on a knee and starts to fix your thigh highs back onto your thighs. "Better?" He said, giving your knees a kiss and even tapping your thighs, making them jiggle.

"Better" you smiled.

Karaku

Karaku found out you're a witch on the first date but didn't mind it. He even found it cute. This was all new to Karaku, so he didn't know what to accept, but he's mentioned countless times that he'd never break up with you, joking in some fear that you might curse him if he did

Karaku is always asking to touch your things out of curiosity. It's greatful he's asking, but you'd still have to tell him no, which makes him throw a fake fit about it. You'd also have to remind him constantly to never blow out your candles, but he'd tease you and say he would.

Karaku thought your style would be dependent on what you do, but you dressed pretty normal to him. He even takes the time to understand why you do what you do and educates himself from you about witchcraft.

Karaku has bitten one of your crystals, thinking it could be editable. His excuse? He saw a video about edible crystals. From the day you forbid him to ever touch your crystal.

Karaku thinks you look really pretty when you put crystal accessories in your braids. He offers to put them in your braids, too.

Karaku knows you don't do evil witchcraft, however if Sekido threats to spank him because he did something dumb or pissed him off he'd make it clear that his "hot evil witch gf will curse you" but that only makes him get two spanks. One from Sekido and one from you.

Karaku gets asked by his brothers why he always has small bottles along with some herbs in the small slotes of his motorcycle. He simply tells them that his hot witch gf is casting protection spells, so he has a safe ride. Although he plays too much, he does love how you do this for him and make him feel safe. It also feels like you're always there with him.

Scenario:

Karaku comes home around 10 pm. from work. "Y/n, I'm back," he announced and gets confused when he got no answer.

He checks the shared room you both sleep in, the bathrooms and etc, but yet there's no sign of you. He'd assume you went out with friends and gose into the kitchen for some water but then saw the backdoor open.

He checks and sees you outside sitting on the grass. "Hey y/n, what are you doing?" He calls out to you. "shhh. It's a full moon, I'm charging my crystals," you said and continued to mediate. Karaku stops what he's doing and tips toes quietly towards you and sits on the grass.

Karaku stays quiet. He looked up at the full moon, then back at your crystals, and started wondering if your crystals would start glowing with magic being put into them as you mediated.

You sigh and then start to put your crystals back in a box. "What are you thinking about now?" Karaku asked. "I want crystal balls," you said and then felt two large hands cup your boobs "you got some right here, babe," he said, and you rolled your eyes.

Urogi

Urogi is spiritual himself, so the news that you were too didn't shock him as much. If anything, Urogi was overjoyed.

Urogi loves being in the forest. When you suggested that you both go to the forest and meditate together area, Urogi was quick to say yes. He feels very at peace with you, and you feel at peace with him.

Urogi would learn a lot from you, especially about Chakras. Whenever there was a minor problem with his brothers, he'd use what you'd say just to annoy them since they didn't know what he's even talking about.

Urogi uses incense a lot. He may be a cheerful and happy guy, but he still wants to maintain his energy. Whenever you both come back from a large crowd or even around people with bad energy, you both start to burn some incense around you. He also offers to hold your locs up so the incense doesn't touch your pretty hair.

Urogi likes to go out and buy you flowers as a gift, sometimes the flowers being special ones. One time, he got you some blue lotus flowers, and he knew you'd use them for some deep meditation and to help you relax whenever you felt too overwhelmed and stressed out.

Scenario:

It was Urogi's turn to plan the date idea, and he wanted to make dream catchers with you outside.

You spent your time earlier driving around to make sure you both had all the correct things to make your dream catchers. Urogi was quiet. He always gets quiet whenever he's focused, but he is extremely good with putting his together.

You put down your half made dream catcher and just watched him. "You're so good at this, especially the feather part." You said. "Maybe I was a bird in my past life," Urogi jokes, making you both laugh. "Y/n, are you having trouble with yours? It's not done," he said.

You looked down. "Oh! Yeah, I'll be done it soon... actually, could you help me put it together? I don't think I'm doing it right," you confess, feeling a little embarrassed. "Yeah! I'll do it for you!" Urogi said, so happy to be doing this with you even if he's doing all the work and you're just keeping him company.

In his memoir, Geddy said this was in his top five Rush albums, and, well, he would be the expert, no? So, without further ado, here are my Thoughts on this synth-era classic: 1. "The Big Money"- This album was one of the more recent additions to my collection, and I remember listening to it the first time on a cold January evening, I think I had just turned 16, and being absolutely blown away by this opening. By the synths, by the bass line, by the sound of it. Of how clear and sharp the whole album sounded, and I couldn't believe that Rush had done it again: made another album that I loved. Power Windows is also one of my favorite Rush albums, and this opener completely sucked me in. It also establishes the themes of power present throughout the album: that "big money" wields so much power. 2. "Grand Designs"- This is one of my favorite songs on this album (hint: I could say that about any song on this album). I love how the synths sound, I love the accentuation of Alex's guitar, and I love the lyrics!!! The whole vibe of the song, to me, is about personal power, and it has just such a clear, optimistic vibe. 3. "The Manhattan Project"- Who doesn't love a song that Neil read an encyclopedia about the Manhattan Project to write? It's about the creation of the atom bomb and the impact it had, so obviously it's about the power of imperialism and it's about nuclear power. I love the way the breakdown is used in this song, and I love the climax when when Geddy sings "flying out of the shockwave".

4. "Marathon"- Okay, I may have lied about Grand Designs being my favorite song on this album, because I also love this one wayyy too much. The frantic baseline, the steady beat of the drums, and the modulation during the last chorus--- it really feels like you achieved something by the end of the song. This is song is just so... uplifting to me. I love it so much (did I say that already?). 5. "Territories"- This song is about nationalism and it's dangers--- which is another sort of power. The power on a national scale. Honestly, Neil's drumming on this track (and his lyrics) are absolutely spectacular, and I wish I saw this song mentioned more often when talking about his best tracks. I also love how the second verse also touches on how propaganda is really the machine that keeps this cycle going--- and I love the word play of "In different circles we keep holding our ground/ Indifferent circles we keep spinning round and round". That is just so clever. 6. "Middletown Dreams"- As I'm going through more and more of these songs, I'm noticing that the album is really split between personal and societal power and the impact it has. For example, this song is really about taking the power of your dreams and passions in your own hands, and pursuing what you love. I once watched/listened to an interview with Neil Peart, and he mentioned this song specifically as one that fans misinterpret as being cynical, when he never intended it to be cynical. I just found that really interesting. Another thing I'm noticing as I'm listening to this album is how fresh the synths sound to me--- the album doesn't sound dated at all to me (maybe because I listen to so much prog it's rotted my brain?). 7. "Emotion Detector"- Ahhh a song about the power of emotions, and the trouble of reading the emotions of others. The song also talks about the balance between being cut off and being too open with others which is a common theme in Rush's music and totally doesn't make me think Neil was neurodivergent of some kind haha anyway. This song is really about human relationships, and the way we communicate with each other, and some of the lines in this song are so good. And Alex's guitar solo is phenomenal. As usual. 8. "Mystic Rhythms" - This is about the power that nature has over us and our sense--- it's a song about the mysteries of the unknown, and it's soooo cool. My only gripe with this song is that it fades out at the end, and it's the closing track. Although, in this case, I could be persuaded to believe that it adds to the mystery of the track, and may have been intentional.

One of my goals in life is to learn as many languages as possible.. I think languages are so beautiful, and as an American it always feels so weird that we brush them off, when most other countries seem to have an emphasis on multilingualism.. espeically considering how diverse the US is

It’s my dream to travel the world and connect with all sorts of cultures.. I think the one I dream about the most is visiting Ukraine.. I really enjoy the culture, and I’m trying to learn the language on my own time.. I rlly enjoy trying my hand at making dishes from there.

Maybe it’s partly my autism but I think about stuff like this a whole lot. I love cultures!!! And languages!!!! And flags!!! You WILL catch me staring and naming flags whenever I spot them in public

I think spreading culture is really important for the world, and I love hearing about it and talking to ppl from all over.. Culture connects communities and gives a certain life to stuff people might otherwise ignore. It humanizes and relates people, and I think culture is so gorgeous no matter where you look. Outside of that, it’s just cool. Architecture, food, music, literature, ahhh I love exploring everything from all over

Oh…oh. He’s no longer being called “the entity” in the episode description. He’s his own person. He’s like—he found himself in that. He knows who he is now. Fully. He is himself, who he wants to be. I haven’t even listened yet and I’m going to sob.

Honestly mostly thought calling him “the entity” was a thing for any new listeners. So they didn’t get spoiled about the name and all that. But always thought it was kinda odd considering he’s called John so early on.

But it was an intentional choice. He’s *John* now. Wholly. And fully. And he believes that too and so it shows.

God I’m so attached to this mf.

The singing is lovely actually. Have no idea what the fuck is going on through. Song seems fitting lol.

This Zaffre is genuinely so wonderful, new desk top background moments. I love her gesture and expression here, it really captures her as a character! Also thank you! I really love doing in depth research, its the autism at work. I am a proud vehicle autistic. I've said it before but working on a ship for a summer just to know the mechanics of how actual sailing works is probably the most unhinged thing I can say I've done for accuracy sake. Loved my Captain and fellow crew, very sad I got sick and had to leave. Honestly would love to be a sailor if my heath wasn't bungled up and I wasn't like $200k of debt in animation college.

My humanoid vehicle AU's are partially based on my sadly never going to be picked up pitch bible for a science fiction based historical vehicle show [my fatal flaw is niche interests] And it literally makes my day to sit down and work on the most expansive and historically researched BS on earth, my AU is both a lovely love letter to TUGS as the show it is and a Love Letter to what TUGS wanted to be! At the end of the day TUGS wanted to be it's days Steven Universe or MASH [something I am gonna elaborate in another format later] but unfortunately it just didn't have the right ingredients. Its the Same as the TUGS musical I'm working on, it's a love letter to what TUGS both is and was supposed to be along with being a love letter to the characters themselves

Saw your Turian Roommate answer and thought of rooming with other races and...

Quarian dormmate whose awkward and shy around you. Their dorm is its own ecosystem, which you certainly can't enter, which is a relief because then you'd find their extensive "research" on humans. You know, just normal things like studies on how supposedly things like human kissing was created as a way to help the immune system of the community and further more, if that can be applied to Quarians, or research on human customs and culture, courting and dating heavily bookmarked. Naturally, there's and entire desktop setup for research on human mating, including human and other species. Yeah, best you leave them to their research.

Or how there seems to be no privacy with a quarian in the shared living quarters when they are out of their bubble-room. They always seem to be barging in on you at the worst time or right up in your personal space, you brush it off, at first. Growing up on the flotilla where only a curtain separates some families would probably mean they would have no concept of knocking, right? Until you notice that they don't seem to be like this with everyone else in the barracks.

He keeps messaging you in the middle of the night about everything there is under the sun, just to keep talking to you.

Dialling you up just as you retire to your room, dragging out the conversation while you get ready for bed. It's like the sound of your voice alone is invigorating to him, bare and clear without a helmet...it sounds rather intimate. His own voice sounds much clearer, too. He must have taken off his protective suit while in his room.

Allows him the illusion to imagine you laying there next him on the bed as you fall asleep on the voice call, the sound of your soft breathing slowing down. He can't help but wrap his arms tighter around the pillow he's been hugging, attempting to delude his brain into thinking it's a human body instead, that it's your body pressed against his own naked form in the middle of the bed.

Then there are the amount of times he keeps catching by surprise, casually barging into your room, not understanding why you got squirmy about it, why is the blanket covering your lower half? Aren't you hot under there? The building should be temperature controlled...and why is your face reddish, oh no do you have a fever!

Somehow, you always manage to bump into him when you're fresh out of the shower, having to tiptoe the hallway as waterdroplets follow in your steps. Colliding with a metalic suit as you turn a corner—god, how are quarians so quiet and sneaky?—towel threatening to fall, how he doesn't hesitate to reaxh out and hold it in place, before it could unravel. You feel the leather grip of his glove padding against your skin, hear the tremble in his voice through the helmet distortion as he tells you to be careful so you won't catch a cold.

You keep noticing a reoccurring theme in his favourite media. Whenever it's his turn in movie nights, he picks a human/qaurian romance film. He's listening to more human music, asking for your recommendations. The amount of extranet traffic coming from his room is massive thanks to all the guide books and human educational research papers he keeps browsing.

One day, he blurts out the idea of maybe...syncing his environmental suit to your biology? Exposure to your bacteria in small quantities.

Plus...he heard you already helped the turian with desensitisation against human bacteria with make-out sessions, so maybe you do it for him too? A small kiss every now and then should do.

Until his body can handle more, of course.
