After a disappointing year as a society columnist for the Herald, Emma has returned to the salty air, glittering ocean vistas, and grand stately mansions of Newport, Rhode Island, more determined than ever to report on hard news. But for now she's covering the social event of the season at Ochre Court, a coming-out ball designed to showcase Cleo Cooper-Smith, who will be on display as Cleopatra in an elaborate tableau vivant. But as the deb ascends to her place of honor, the ballroom is plunged into darkness. When the lights come back on, Cleo sits still on her throne, electrocuted to death. Quickly establishing that the wiring was tampered with, Emma now has a murder to investigate. As Emma begins to discover this crime has unseen connections to a nefarious network, she puts her own life at risk to shine a light on the dark motives behind a merciless murder...

After telling Nanny she doesn't want details:
She lit the stove. “You needn’t coddle me, you know. And while you might think you don’t wish to discuss it, I always say it’s better to talk than to bottle everything up until the cork pops.”
“His throat was slit.”
The kettle landed on the burner with a clang. She returned to the table. “Someone was angry with that man.”

Sooooooo....
Okay, so I started to search and watch videos about the entire lore of all the Clock Tower games and... the relationship between Alyssa and Bates reminds me so much of Madison and Gabriel??? But if their relationship was a bit healthier??? And oml... I can't stop thinking about it.
Not to mention "evil twin brother that got stuck in his twin sister's body and once in a while takes over her body and is more badass when he does it" is something the game and the movie share ahakskksks
Also!!! Alyssa gets adopted too like Madison? Not to mention... their last names start with M?
youtube
Also... BATES IS VOICED BY ROGER L. JACKSON??? GHOSTFACE'S VOICE ACTOR?

Is anyone here familiar with both Bakugan and Clock Tower: Ghost Head? Because I could totally see Alice and Masquerade having a similar dynamic to Alyssa and Bates; Hell, Alice and Alyssa’s names are even similar! You’ve got this shy girl who would never hurt a fly, and then suddenly a dark, villainous personality with a masculine voice and presentation takes over. But this aggressive persona cares very much for the other, nevertheless.
There’s obviously differences; Alyssa is being possessed by the ghost of her dead twin brother, whereas Masquerade IS Alice, or rather a suppressed part of her personality externalized. But as someone who really enjoys Alyssa and Bates’ whole thing, I’d love to imagine for Bakugan a post-S1 scenario where Masquerade occasionally emerges... But since there’s no more secret to upkeep, it’s just his voice emerging from Alice, who looks the exact same save a dark aura, and maybe different-colored eyes...
How about blue eyes? They’re the color of Masquerade’s titular mask, which arguably IS his true face, rather than it being Alice’s. And the blue blends in with the visor, playing into the screen being practically non-opaque, thereby hiding Alice’s visage underneath.
Again, I know that Masquerade isn’t a brother to Alice but literally just her, and while I really would love to see a storyline for her where this connection is acknowledged as she bridges the gap between these personas to highlight how they’re equally real sides to Alice... At the same time, Alice and Masquerade having this shared body dynamic the way Alyssa and Bates do is too much fun. You’ve got this incredibly soft and pastel girl, and suddenly her eyes turn a bright blue as she’s enveloped in a Darkus aura, her back straightens as her gaze turns harsh, and a completely different voice comes out.

From David Johnson's Simstagram
What a season! So many highs, so much change for our home church community that is not a home church anymore! After thirty years of faithful gatherings at my home every Sunday, we're now New Newcrest Church, with a wonderful church building and a thriving congregation of over 70 people! I couldn't be more humbled and honored to be chosen by the Watcher to pastor this flock for the next thirty years, and lead many more souls to the wonderful well that is the Watcher's love and grace!

If it had been me in Europe, I’d have sold my last belonging in order to book passage home to help my brother. That my parents hadn’t done so only reinforced what I’d known for a long time, since childhood, though I couldn’t have verbalized it then: On some deep, yet indecipherable level they simply didn’t grasp what it meant to be parents. And they never would. Life to them was a series of artistic adventures, an intellectual fairy world that might or might not include [my brother] and me at any particular time.

Hallmark Media Rebranding Two Linear Networks
Tumblr media
There have been a lot of changes at Hallmark Media lately and even more are on the way. Twenty-year-old network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will rebrand to Hallmark Mystery on March 6, while younger sibling Hallmark Drama will become Hallmark Family on Feb. 28, CFX has learned.
While it may sound like mere semantics, the revamps are a bit more substantial. Hallmark plans to unveil the new brands as part of its TCA Winter Press Tour presentations Tuesday. The change to Hallmark Mystery represents Hallmark leaning into the cozy mystery genre, with a record number of new and returning mystery series. On Friday, the net debuted its first historical mystery, “Gilded Newport Mysteries: Murder at the Breakers.” Starring Ali Skovbye, it’s based off a series of books from author Alyssa Maxwell, which opens the door for a potential franchise.
All clues point to a greater emphasis on Hallmark Mystery, with Alison Sweeney (“Days of Our Lives”) returning as Hannah Swensen later this year in Hallmark’s latest adaptation of a Joanne Fluke novel. Sweeney wrote her first script, based on the book “Apple Turnover Murder” and is executive producer on the film, “One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery.” Hallmark Media is committing to a bigger investment in mystery for the channel, though the plan for now is to still fund its “Miracles of Christmas” programming stunt, perhaps with a bit more of a mystery bend to some titles. The holiday programming stunt has performed well for the net, with December’s “Miracle in Bethlehem, PA,” becoming its #1 most-watched original movie premiere of the year and second most-watched in network history among key demographics
The rebrand of Hallmark Drama, which launched in October 2017, seems more like a clarification of its spotlight on storytelling for the whole family around faith, love and community.

My list of Queer books.
Now my labeling only has to do with the main protagonist, except for the books labeled "Queer" some of those the main protagonist is not Queer but the book has lots of Queer main and side characters. I only included the first books to make it easier but some of these are series.
The problem with making lists for books is that there's So. Goddamn. Many! New ones are being released every single day so all I can really do is add as I go. I also take recommendations so let me know of books I missed (specify what category they go in please 😊). I could also add specific Sexualities and Genders but right now I'm just doing basic categories because this is going to take time.
