It's obvious right off the bat who the instigator is when it comes to the idea of sharing their obsession in the first place and surprise, surprise its Jennifer. Whether the darling was hers to begin with or Anita's, Jennifer doesn’t mind sharing. At least not too much. And besides, who better to share with other than her bestie? No one, that's who.

There would be quite a few distinctions between Jennifer and Needy sharing a darling before and after Jennifer’s transformation. In the very beginning, Jennifer and Needy can work pretty well together. Sure there’s disagreements about how things should be or what they should do revolving their darling in general but other than that it’s harmless fun for the most part. Things don’t get real intense until after everything happens.

The only big disagreement early on is that Anita wants to be much more lowkey about their obsession while Jennifer wants to show it and their darling off to the whole world. She wants everyone to see what belongs to her and Needy, and only them. Jennifer can certainly takes things too far even before she’s a man eating demon, but she always finds a way to either make up with Anita or get Anita to see her side of it. Jennifer is no stranger to getting what she wants and she’s damn good at it to even begin with. More times then not she gets away with her antics both with Anita and others. And their darling would be no exception to her manipulation and charm either. Whether the darling is susceptible to it or not is another thing.

As much as Needy feels awkward with this whole situation, Jennifer makes it seem like the most normal thing ever. Out of the two, Jennifer is the only one who doesn’t have a second thought about it, meanwhile Anita can’t help her mind racing with pros and cons, right and wrong, what would be acceptable and what would be deemed unacceptable. She can’t help but to worry and worry all the more. The social hierarchy is a real bitch, people talk and things get around, and Needy still can’t quite process everything happening but she knows that she needs you in her life and she wouldn’t want anything to ruin that or take it away from her.

Anita is the more sensible one, not to mention she takes your wants and feelings into account a hell of a lot more than Jennifer can even pretend to. As far as Needy’s concerned she genuinely cares for you. You’re not just some kind of possession or glorified pet like Jennifer makes you out to be, you’re your own person and Needy could never take that away from you. She wouldn’t want to anyway. All she wants is to be by your side, going through the experiences of life with you and just getting to be together but she could live with just keeping a close eye on you from a comfortable distant if that’s what came to be. It wasn’t really until Jennifer was very outwardly and vocally interested in you that Anita would feel overcome with the need to protect you to some degree given the newfound influx of attention sent your way from being even just acquainted with Jennifer, let alone being a romantic interest. And that need would only become all the more intense after Jennifer’s transformation. Needy just had to keep you safe, at all costs.

Jennifer utterly adores you, or rather she adores the idea of you. She likes what she likes and wants what she wants, and you are no exception. It’s one thing if you were her darling to begin with and she picked up on Needy’s interest in you too, but it’s an entirely other thing if you were Needy’s darling from the beginning.

If you were Needy’s darling to begin with than Jennifer would be insufferable to shake off. She would never say she was jealous of Needy or anything, that would be completely ridiculous, but she absolutely felt some type of way about Needy’s interest in you. At first, it started off as a harmless bit of wanting to take something that Needy had but then again how could Jennifer take something that didn’t even belong to Needy in the first place. At least, not yet anyway. Cause that was just so like Needy to not take what she wanted when she wanted, but Jennifer wasn’t like that. When she saw an opportunity she took it without question or she made her own.

Before shit hits the fan Jennifer would be more inclined to share with Anita, cause why not. They can be the best of both worlds, right? Sure there is some pretty heavy competitiveness on both sides that can either be a bit of fun to watch unfold or a pain in the ass to be stuck in the middle of. Either way it starts off pretty tame and slightly petty but still ‘good’ natured in a way. Jennifer and Needy were still very much able to put their competitiveness aside in order to work together for their darling. Especially when it came to one distracting them while the other took care of some unwanted obstacles. But any semblance of teamwork goes out the window after Jennifer’s transformation.

After everything happens, a drift would begin to form between Anita and Jennifer, especially when Jennifer starts full on killing. Particularly people who either gave too much attention to their darling or people who their darling didn’t care too much for, or the people who wronged their darling for any reason, even if it was the smallest thing. Honestly, no one would be safe from becoming a victim of Jennifer when it came to her obsession. And that’s when Anita comes to the realization that this is a whole lot of fucked up going on and she not only doesn’t want to be a part of it but she certainly can’t allow their darling to be involved with Jennifer either anymore. Both for their safety and Anita’s overwhelming anxiety.

It certainly wouldn’t help the situation when Jennifer brings the worst out of Needy’s insecurities as is, especially when it comes to you. But after everything, Jennifer would only be all the more vindictive. She feeds into Needy’s worries and doubts about not being good enough or deserving enough for you in any aspect. She truly is the devil on Needy’s shoulder and only wants to bring Anita to her side of the obsession, the more deplorable side. There are a handful of times that Needy catches herself very nearly giving in to what Jennifer is trying to do. And she feels absolutely ashamed and frustrated. Both with herself and with what Jennifer has become. She can’t just sit by with her thumb up her ass and let Jennifer do what she’s doing. Especially when her darling is stuck right in the middle of it all.

The confrontation would end up being a hell of a lot messier and all the more petty than originally. Anita has every intention of ensuring her darling doesn’t go to prom night, especially not alone with Jennifer. She knows Jennifer wouldn’t kill them, but she could very well still harm them especially when she’s in one of her moods or when she’s told ‘No’ for once. Jennifer isn’t stupid enough to do something as rash as killing their darling, she is extremely selfish after all and she very much wants her darling alive and well for the life she has in mind for the two of them after all of this.

Honestly, with how done Needy is and with what all she has to lose if she continues to let Jennifer go on without doing something she would act a hell of a lot sooner than canonly. Anita is by no means holding back when she comes face to face with Jennifer for the last time. She’s so over the bullshit and only has her darling’s safety in mind for what she intends to do. She doesn’t even hesitate when she finally has her chance, going in for the kill but Needy doesn’t want it to be quick she wants Jennifer to hurt for what she’s done and what she would have continued to do. She also wanted to get some stuff off her chest too and what better time than during Jennifer’s final moments? Needy throws Jennifer’s own insecurities in her face, her own jealousy and envy she very well had eating her up inside too. They weren’t so different in that regard after all. The whole ordeal is a roller-coaster of emotion but Anita doesn’t regret it. If anything she would gladly do it a thousand times over if it meant her darling would be safe.

Anita would still inevitably end up in the asylum after everything, especially after getting bitten by Jennifer. She feels this is where she needs to be to keep her darling safe from herself. And for a while it works, Anita is too overcome with the fear of becoming like Jennifer, she could never live with herself if she ever did. But eventually Needy gets to a point where she becomes restless thinking about you and whether you’re really safe without her around. If she’s away from you then that leaves you vulnerable to god knows who else and the thought alone makes her want to rip everyone apart piece by disgusting piece. Especially knowing that godforsaken band who destroyed Jennifer are still out there only has Anita even more on edge.

But she’ll protect you, she’ll always protect you, and nothing can keep her from doing so. Especially not now. Not even a high security asylum can keep her locked away from her darling. She’ll be out in no time and when she is she’ll come for you. It’ll give her even more of an excuse to take care of some unfinished business, all the more ensuring those creeps can’t get to you too or anyone else for that matter.

I was tagged by @drawing-way-outside-the-lines, thank you very much!💖 I chose Roy for this tag. (I could write a novel about Roy's character evolution, but I don't think this tag was created for that purpose! All the same, I hope I can be forgiven if I go off on a few tangents.) Below is a screenshot from one of Roy's first appearances in my story, in June 2013.

Roy was introduced as Joël's best friend whom he had known from kindergarten, and was only ever meant as a secondary character, shamelessly dropped into the story to be Joël's sounding board and to help chart Joël's romantic challenges. But Roy was never going to be content with having a minor role! The first time it became apparent to me that he was girding his loins for a much bigger share of the limelight was the night he had one too many Pink Cougars at The Grind, and decided to strip down to his undies and dance on the tabletops.

It was also the same night he first met Anita:

After that, Roy more or less shared equal billing with Joël. He and Sonia's wedding was one of the highlights of Five Years Earlier, and still remains the most fabulous and immersive fun I have ever experienced since starting my Simblr.

As far as Roy's physical evolution goes, he was becoming noticeably more buff by January 2014, because he was working out 4 or 5 times a week to take his mind off he and Sonia's infertility woes. He also got a new skin, Ephemera's Fresh, that everyone was raving about at the time:

I loved how it made his body look, but I disliked the weird, waxy colouring it gave to his facial features:

The skin only lasted a few months before I went back to my previous default, Joedy’s Nephilim, which is still my default today.

(Roy and Sonia's infertility struggles also allowed Roy to show his vulnerable side, and hopefully added some depth and richness to his character. Up until then I had never written any chapters from Roy's POV, and I remember being very nervous about stepping into his shoes for the first time, because his personality type was so far removed from anyone I knew in real life! But it became so much easier once I could feel empathy towards him. It is upsetting for any male to be told he has a low sperm count, but for a self-described alpha-male like Roy it must have been devastating. But I think it also made him a lot more human and relateable.)

Okay, that's enough with the tangents! Here is what Roy looks like today:

His hair has never, ever changed, and his face hasn't been tweaked either apart from his famous scar. He has no tattoos. (He has lost a wedding ring, though!) So yeah, it's probably fair to say most of his evolution has been spiritual, emotional and psychological.

You've probably seen the latest hbomberguy video that highlights plagiarism problem on youtube. He gives several examples many I never heard about but I've been recommended iilluminaughtii before and watched some of her stuff before getting tired of seemingly endless volume (now I know why). But then he gets to the real subject of the video and I did watch a lot of James Somerton videos. And I liked many of them. I liked them a lot.

I didn't give him any money and, as much as it came as relief, I kept thinking how this must feel so much worse for people who did. I thought about supporting him for a moment when he posted (in April this year!) how his videos are getting less views because youtube algorithm and demonetisation of gay creators (it's a real thing so it was easy to believe) and he will be forced to stop creating if people don't sign up to his patreon. But I was casual viewer and he seemed big enough so I didn't. It must feel like such a betrayal to those who created a real community around him. Just like his film production company it's clear now it was another of his scams. It's infuriating how well it worked.

Somerton deleted his patreon now (along with his twitter and discord server) so there is probably no recourse for those affected. The only good thing is that someone big enough highlighted what he did (and brought receipts) so he had to stop. When smaller creators called him out it either went unnoticed or he managed to make himself a victim (and send his fans after them). He actually did what Anita Sarkeesian was accused of and gaslighted his followers about it. His misogyny just adds an extra bitter taste to this.

At the end hbomberguy talks about how if Somerton was open about what he was doing this could've been his niche. He said it just as I was thinking basically the same thing. I'm sure there is a market for field review type of videos. Not review like movie or book review but in academic sense when you take other people articles on the subject and compare to show the state of research on the subject on at the moment.

This kind of reviews doesn't need any original research. The value is in giving people overview of where the field is at and pointing them to the actual research so they can read more in depth about the results. If you already did the search for all the sources this is a perfect format to use them. Most people don't have time or resources to comb through all the resources themselves but they like to learn about it and this is why videos like that are popular. That's why iilluminaughtii, Somerton and al. were able to cash in on it.

But of course this kind of things have to properly cited. And they cannot be just all quotes. You have to make coherent points not just make stuff up for the transitions (lies that actually made Todd in the Shadows make a video not about music). I suppose that's too much work. Too much effort when you need to crank out content to satisfy all the sponsors.

I was glad to find out I already watch most of the queer creators recommended in the hbomberguy's video (and put on this watch list) as an alternative (I would add Caelan Conrad to it - funnily enough I found them through their video about antivax movement). I trained my youtube recommendations well in which way it skews but it's easier to kick out all the obviously awful when you know what talking points to avoid. It's much harder to spot grift when it pretends to care about the same things you care about. Somerton was saying all the right things. It just wasn't his words.

Did he even believe any of it? I bet he'll insist on yes but the laziness says otherwise. It seems like it was all just for the money and fans this angle gave him. That he enjoyed being cool to the audience he built and the stuff it bought him. Be gay do crime for real. Only he didn't write that one either.

I love Coach Vargas. He's such a sweet guy and such an overprotective uncle for Yuu.

When the staff (except Trein because he doesn't really seem like the type to me) come to the club it's like this:

Crewel: Sitting with Cruella as they talk about fashion and do whatever rich stylish people do as he keeps a keen eye on Yuu. He's rather friendly with Roger and Anita as well. He probably brings his own dalmations which hang around with Pongo and Perdita's lot and he loves to dote on all of the 101 Dalmation dogs.

Sam: his friends from the other side know Dr Facilier's friends from the other side. His shadow and the shadowman's shadow are practically BFFs that love to make mischief, cause trouble for their humans and chase Peter Pan's shadow. He's very chill with his OG counterpart and the two discuss their voodoo, hoodoo and the things they've never even tried.

Vargas: CHAOS, CHAOS, CHAOS! Who let these two gym bros get within ten feet of each other. Five seconds after meeting their engaged in the most dramatically serious/tense arm wrestle of the century. Behind them, Hercules and Luisa Madrigal are hyping them up as a crowd forms and cheers. Abu is seen stealing from the betting pools that are forming as the staff try to get everyone to calm down. The two then try get Yuu to get to eat four dozen eggs every morning to help her get large.

Gaston's a meathead but he's an alright meathead in this AU. I guess that part of the reason that he likes Yuu is because she lets him talk about himself (which he loves to do - but so do most villains). She's always impressed when he shows off, like when he plays with darts (but he has to be refrained from 'expectorating' by the other villains who really don't want to see any of that).

He also thought that it was a good idea to proudly give her a rifle that was then immediately confiscated by Minnie.

(Gaston: But Mulan gave her a sword!

Mickey: Do I look like the type of mouse who would tell Mulan what she can or can't give?)

Lefou is cool to hang around with. He's like Kronk and Smee where he's a good guy that does evil things because they genuinely care about the villain and aren't villains themselves.

My re-reading project has gone reasonably well, my ADHD is still untreated so I often have a lot of trouble actually starting (Who is Real consistently created this roadblock in my mind for whatever reason), but it was re-reading Under Tides that has had me sitting down and digesting it for some time.

Under Tides has a dramatically different tone from pretty much every single other event that I've read so far. It's a very moody work, dramatically more so than previous events (and, definitely in comparison to Stultifera Navis), both in story direction and in art direction. The residents of Sal Viento are drawn in a way I find really compelling for the nature of the story: they look like they've had the life and energy sucked out of them, and share the same muted palettes with the Inquisitors. It really makes the Abyssal Hunters standout in comparison to the rest of the world, in Skadi's vivid reds, Gladiia's blues, and Specter's monochrome colors.

This piece, on top of just being absolutely breathtaking honestly, is a really good example. Sal Viento sits, tilted in ruins into the sea, but at this angle it feels impossible to tell where the land begins and where the ocean meets the city. It makes Sal Viento feel very isolated from the world, and it is in many ways, and I in particular like the way the support structures at the right, now broken and falling apart, make Sal Viento feel skeletal. How much has been destroyed, taken by the sea? It's great.

But Skadi is the only splash of color. Skadi's red stand out amongst the very muted blues, the blues that feel barely distinguishable from the dismal grays of rain clouds and brackish water, and the sterile colors of Sal Viento. Skadi and the Hunters are the only splash of life in this landscape; even the Inquisitors cannot be said to do this, because much if not all of what the Inquisitors leave in their wake is death.

But it's also a much darker story than usually, and that's a bit surprising considering how much fare Arknights up to this point has had with the ideas of corporate corruption, discrimination, and cleansing. It's a lot to do with how the characters are positioned to each other: the people of Sal Viento are almost zombie-like, being slowly eaten away from ingestion of Seaborn flesh, and are intensely paranoid and disapproving of outsiders. Only Anita stands out amongst them, a beacon of innocence and curiosity that hasn't been stamped out yet by the constant erosion of the tides. Skadi and Gladiia are both oppositional to each other and oppositional to everyone else in the story. There's no real sense of cooperation or camaraderie between any of the characters outside of Anita, which creates a really rather oppressive atmosphere. The dark parts of Talulah's story in Chapter 8 stand in contrast to the warmer parts of her relationship to Alina, Frostnova, and Patriot, and it stands in contrast with Amiya and Ch'en. Maria Nearl's attempted assassination at the hands of the KGCC stands stark against Marcus and Zofia's support of her and her naive ideals.

There's no contrast in Under Tides, it's a constant gloomy, dark feeling, it's being in a cave that's constantly damp, dripping, and moist. That works really well for the type of story it wants to be, especially for its climax moment, where the first time character's connect with each other, it is portrayed in the form of a mental breakdown.

"She is a monster. She murders her own kind. She for her own kind murders her own kind. She by her own kind murders her own kind. The eyes of the people in the streets are filled with warmth. They don't know anything. The eyes from the research institutes and in the tents are filled with ice. When the hunters sleep, there are patrollers guarding. No. Those aren't guards. That night patrol doesn't serve the hunters. The patrollers are waiting for the hunters to become monsters."

Aside from her, anyone and everyone probably knew. Sea monster. And–she has already committed the gravest sin...

I killed it. I killed her. I killed Him.

There's some questionable writing decisions made in this chapter, especially with the way that Anita and Irene have a habit of narrating action scenes in dialogue, but this will not be what I criticize. This is the climax of the story: where the truth of the matter, where Skadi understanding the bizarre idiosyncrasies of her biology and what they mean, causes her identity to collapse, leaving Skadi to try and grab at anything she can.

And she grabs onto being a monster.

Becoming a Seaborn is in some ways both an invasion and a form of acceptance. Your biology changes, but the outcome is not a guarantee. Skadi only avoids her fate here because Gladiia deliberately took a massive injury as a trap. If that hadn't been intentional, if Gladiia truly took a mortal wound, Skadi would have fallen right there.

"Your neural cells are rapidly metabolizing. Remember, you are a hunter. They can't do anything to you."

It's truth and its untruth. The extent to which Skadi's condition can be directly tied to her biology is questionable: we've already seen this questioned in Skadi's own monologue. But as long as Skadi remembers that she is a hunter, that she has a purpose and can resist, she'll be fine.

It's good, it's a fantastic climax that leads to the rather nice and cathartic reunion amongst the Abyssal Hunters. Really liked this event.

do you have any tips for growing out hair? i have 4c hair and just went natural (about 6 months ago) but my hair is still very short and i just want is to grow out a bit more

Good question. Well, everyone's hair is different, but I have like 4A/4B type hair and I'm natural , so here are some things that I do:

I detox my scalp once a week, use filtered water to cleanse, and steam for added hydration

I only use natural/organic products by Black women-owned hair care brands. My favorite are Anita Grant and Alodia Hair Care

I use organic castor oil on my scalp and massage it in before I condition for extra growth

I sleep with a satin scarf/bonnet at night

I get regular trims

I try not to over style or put too much heat on my hair. I wear a lot protective styles like wash n go's and braids

I make sure to get enough vitamins like Zinc, Iron, Vitamin A & D

MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE

I also go to see a natural hair pro twice a month

Also, I try not to stress because it can wreak havoc on your hair

So do the ROs have a favorite campfire song/story? I always used the ones from the “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” books, The man who lived in Leeds being top cuz it rhymes and is easy to remember!

Reem: She'll be in charge of playing all the songs, so this one's easy. Her favorite is American Pie. Flo describes her rendition of it as "sounding like a hug." She knows a ton of other songs, too, obviously. A lot for kids as well, but her favorite is American Pie.

She's not particularly enthusiastic about any stories in particular, though.

Flo: He prefers listening to campfire stories instead of telling them, but he does enjoy a good monster tale. Any monster will do, really, so long as it's big and menacing.

Basil: He likes campfire songs as much as the next guy, but hasn't got any preferences. When it comes to stories, though... hoo boy. Yeah, he'll be scaring all the kids for sure. But he knows enough pleasant tales to lighten the mood afterwards, too. His favorite is probably the one with "the Viper".

Anita: She doesn't have any preferences in types of songs either. But she enjoys them! Whichever one. She's just gonna be sitting there, vibing. As long as there's marshmallows, she's a happy camper (get it. Get it???). But she's gonna hit you if you start singing Amazing Grace.

Her favorite story is La Llorona. It still spooks her even after all these years since she first heard it, but she loves it. It's hauntingly beautiful to her.

Lisa: Kibbe Analysis

I had previously made a Kibbe analysis post for Jennie and now its Lisa's turn 😌 On Kibbe communities online, Lisa is often typed as a FN/Flamboyant Natural but she is in fact, imo, a Soft Dramatic.

People often don't type Lisa as an SD because she has a cute face and a very lean body and apparently does not look like a natural fit next to verified SDs like Sofia Vergara, Sophia Loren, Rachel Weisz etc. SD is a very womanly, sensual ID and Lisa "apparently" does not suit the Diva Chic essence and is not "womanly" looking.

I strongly disagree.

A Flamboyant Natural is described as straight, broad, and blunt. A lot of flamboyant naturals have a muscular quality to their bodies as well. Quite often the bust and hips tend to be straight or flat.

From these pictures, its obvious that while Lisa has broad shoulders, she has a very waspish waist and full hips. Although she's lean, she's not muscular. Her body is not straight or blunt.

A Soft Dramatic is described as

taller than 5'5 inches/165cm (Lisa is 5'6 or 168cms)

usually have long limbs (Lisa has very long legs and long arms)

Most fleshy through the hip and bust (although not always if you are extremely thin) 

Moderate fleshiness on upper arms and thighs

A defined waist that is moderate in width in comparison to the rest of your body 

As we can see from these pictures, Lisa is very long limbed, she's 5'6/168cms but she looks even taller. She has fleshy thighs and full rounded hips. If she weren't as underweight as she is now, she would also have a fuller bust. She also has a very well defined waist.

another very important SD determining factor is the T shape silhouette.

T shape silhouette refers to broad shoulders, small waist and proportionate hips. Lisa has a T shaped silhouette.

This is probably the only outfit of hers where she's dressed like an SD. She looks amazing as she honours her Diva Chic essence and looks very sexy, very womanly and bold. She does not look out of place in this look at all.

However she does look very out of place here. So much so that she's barely recognisable. On the left is verified FN Gwyneth Paltrow, who looks good in a white gown with zero draping because she has the frame to carry it. Lisa may have broad shoulders but she is not "wide" and does not possess the frame to pull off this look. She looks unlike herself because nothing about this looks screams "Diva".

However all these outfits truly bring out her Diva Chic essence and make her shine. Be it the makeup or the styling, the pattern/print heavy looks really make her pop.

An SD face is described as having:

Full features, exotic essence

Large eyes

Full lips

Fleshy Cheeks 

Prominent facial features

All of them have full, lush features, an almost "exotic" appeal and are very visually striking. Lisa looks like she belongs to this ID along with the other woman.

Before you ask me, face matters A LOT when determining someone's ID. Don't believe people who say otherwise. You don't just dress for you body, you dress for your face as well.

Here's Lisa in a bunch of outfits that don't do anything for her. Stylists always seem to be so lost with regard to what to do with her and she often ends up with the most questionable-looking outfits. Due to her cutesy personality (never forget Mentor Lisa tho, she can be very serious when she needs to) I guess its hard to put her in ball gowns and ultra glamorous outfits but these are exactly the kind of looks she looks incredible in.

So much of her styling seems like a lost opportunity. Being tall and skinny does not make someone an FN and Lisa looks the most plain in denim looks. Since she's not particularly fashion-forward or experimental with her looks, we often see her in the same booty shorts and crop top outfit formula on stage and off stage, she's at the mercy of whatever her stylist puts her in. But bbg is an SD in disguise.

My thoughts on The Church of Ruby Road

SPOILERS AHEAD

The Church of Ruby Road is such a stellar introduction into a new era of Doctor Who. It just has this whimsical sense of adventure and emotion that I love to see in Doctor Who. I like that Russell T. Davis embraces the camp and brings inclusivity into the franchise. It makes the story feel more tender and really resonating to watch.

Ncuti Gatwa might be my favourite iteration of the Doctor we've gotten so far. He's just so charismatic and he owns every scene that he is in. You can just feel his infectious energy radiate off the screen. He feels like someone I'd want to be best friends with.

I really like Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday, she really stood out in this episode. She seemed so clumsy and loveable. Everything about her backstory is really intriguing, I want to learn more about where she came from and who her birth mother is. The way Davina was talking about there being no records of her family makes me think they are something not of this earth or located somewhere beyond space and time. She gives me strong Rose Tyler/Clara Oswald vibes and I think that will play a key role in her story going forward. I think she will have some power or type of destiny awaiting her like Rose had with Bad Wolf but that's just my theory.

The chemistry between Ncuti and Millie was so good, they really seem like good friends who gossip a lot and you feel that in every scene they share together. I also liked the relationship between Ruby and her adoptive mum. The fact she fostered 33 children and was able to bring happiness to her house because of Ruby was something I found really touching.

I liked Davina McCall's cameo as I found the way they included her show Long Lost Family in the episode and tied that in to Ruby's search for her family to be really smart. The fact she got the same bad luck as Ruby and got impaled by a Christmas tree was hilarious. I'm glad The Doctor saved her lol.

The Goblins were wee little shits who were doing everything they can to fuck up poor Ruby's life. Their song by Janis Goblin was so catchy and morbidly dark and when The Doctor and Ruby started singing, that was so unexpected yet amazing. Their voices were so good! They need to make Doctor Who a full blown musical at this point.

I liked the twist that the Goblins hunted babies using coincidence and time as that was really compelling. I was so scared when Ruby was erased from existence, I thought Ruby and The Doctor's relationship would be ruined forever. I'm glad The Doctor fixed everything and returned time to normal in the end.

Anita Dobson as Mrs Flood seems like a interesting character. Her fourth wall break at the end was so funny. I wonder if she has a past connection to The Doctor as she seemed very familiar with the tardis.

That trailer at the end there has my blood pumping with excitement! I can't wait for May 2024!

Character Inspiration

Also, this is going to be a longer post since I haven't been posting much in general recently. I also prety much enjoyed doing this tag. So I thought about making another part with another set of characters in the future.

Rules: Pick a character(s) from your wip(s) and tell who they were inspired by or from.

Ulfrika Výtaušeimová - her sort of harsh personality is basically mine with slightly more (read: A LOT more) salt. Her physical design, though, is mostly inspired by an illustration of a revenant I saw in one of the book with legends about folk creatures I own. When I tried to draw her for the first time, though, I didn't know what sort of a reference pose I should pick. So I used my own reflection I took a photo of. So I guess that some of my features also exist within this character.

Márgerdra Výtaušeimová - she has a few inspirations, like Helga Sinclair from Atlantis the Lost Empire (I liked that mysterious femme fatale aura), young Anita Ekberg as I she had the facia features closest to those I could think about when it came to Márgerdra. Some of her abilities and skills are based on the creatures from Slavic folklore. Like the inspiration about Márgerdra's hair storing some of her power and life essence is tied to the folk stories about 'rusalky' (a type of a water fairy or a nymph which appear in many stories here) and 'víly' (basically forest fairies or maybe even dryads (???) which look human but have magical abilities and can be mischievous, malicious or just minding their own business).

Master Kogar Výtaušeima - his personality doesn't have an exact inspiration, I just imagined what the most chill and cool dad would be and went with it. Cold-hearted asshole on the outside, a huggable teddy bear around his kids. His physical design, though, relates a lot to Karl Urban since the guy looks both young and old (this sounds weirder when sai outloud but whatever).

Miss Yawen and Golden Wind Viper - even in physical form these twins might have a few snake-like features since they actually are snake demons.

Ereanth - although he may not appear that much in my wips, I took the inspiration for his name (and partially for his appearence, too) from Eredin from the Witcher books. Although, his personality is much different. Though, I didn't take much inspiration from around when I was coming up with his behaviour and so on. It sort of came naturally because I wanted some contrast. Oh, and maybe there's a slight hint of Tom Hiddleston since the guy has quite an interesting facial structure.

Faust/Gemini/the Twin - the strange sentient structure in Ulfrika's chest has a few inspirations one of which is the tale of Dr Faust and Mephistopheles and the tale of Pan Twardowski. Ironically, Ulfrika was nicknamed by a few nobles as Mephisto or Pale Devil despite the fact that she fulfills the role of Dr Faust much more. On the other hand, Ulfrika did use the surname Twardowska while living abroad for a while as a cover. The inspiration for the design comes from the game Blasphemous since I found the character of Nacimiento one of the most intriguing and tragic ones.Another inspiration for the character comes from Edward Mordrake (the Two-faced Man as he might be better known).

as a south american im so mad about what happened. It seems like a common scheme in music shows. a few years ago i went to see a small rock band and they didn't let us bring any water or drinks of any type. This is because they were making lots of money by selling overpriced water bottles and of course beer. It felt like a scam bidding on people's lives. SA swifties are considered privileged financially for a lot of people so they tried to make as much as they could out of them. it's crazy they tried that same scheme on the world's biggest pop star show, more people could have easily died. Wow you guys are coming into a new energy! I feel that this may be coming in by late spring to late summer, meaning June — September. Some of you may be my Leo’s because that season is popping up OR you may have a good time during Leo season. You may find stability within your finances and emotions or will be coming into it.

I’m getting that during the time you’re reading this you have been struggling for the past few months. Like you’re just stuck in a rut. You know that one song ‘nothings new’ by Rio Romeo — they kept singing nothing’s new…yeah. You might have even closed yourself off or couldn’t find the time to connect with people because of the situation.

Now I’m not saying “this is the end yiipieee!” It’s more of hey you’re gonna set sail again because the weather conditions are right. Because when you’re a sailor you know when you can set sail and when you have to navigate through the storms while clenching the wheel as tight as you can.

I’m also getting the radio host from the song ‘Hopscotch’by Tinashe. ‘Alright, we got another beautiful day here in sunny Los Angeles, California. Let’s take a look at our seven day forecast — we’re seeing lots of sunshine all week long — temperatures in the mid to upper 70s’. Yeah I typed that out cause it’s fun and it adds to the fun lol. I’ll even add it here lol.

Anyway before spring ends, you may get into a new hobby or fandom that just makes your world sparkle. For some reason that is the key indicator that you’ll get a break. Because of this new hobby/entertainment you’ll feel emotionally reconnected which makes you want to be motivated to explore yourself and everything around you.

As you start to explore and expand things start to escalate. It might become overwhelming so of course you need something to balance it out and that is where material/finances come in. It really could be finance or something that’s physical coming in fruition. Honestly for some of you — you may have been working on a looong project and you finally see the results.

The important thing to know is that this experience will find you instead of you looking for it. Like it really feels that this is going to randomly pop up (on your feed for some of you). Okay this is all I’m getting for you, I wish you all well :)!
