Plural Culture is wishing more people understood "source separation" is different for everyone and regardless of how they do it, it is actually very important for introjects

Sometimes source separation is just "okay, I'm not actually {source}, but I'm a lot like them and still look at my source and see myself and don't plan to change. But I can acknowledge I am not genuinely them" and that's okay, that's good

Sometimes it's "I look at my source and feel nothing, I've changed my name. I hardly look like my source any more. I don't really identify with it at all." And that's okay. That's good

Sometimes it's "I've accepted I'm not {source}, and I've got a few differences, but I still mostly identify with my source other than that" and that's okay, that's good!

Source separation is not "I can never be anything like my source ever" it is getting an introject to the point where they understand they are not actually their source, and are not suffering because of source memories constantly

I get so tired of seeing people argue about it on sysblr, because I've gone all the way with how a lot of ppl think source separation works

I don't look like my source, I use a different name, I've grown up a lot because my source is like 3 years old and I'm 19, and I don't have a lot of source memories any more either

But my best friend in sys still very much identifies with his source and he's very happy about that. He understands he's not that character, and he's learned how to cope with source memories both good and bad

And he's been told he's "anti recovery" because he's not source separated enough. And it pisses me off so much, because he is! He is as source separated as he needs to be to function.

Source separation looks different for everyone, don't shove one way onto every single introject. Let them figure it out

Boutta invent a new sexuality for AVA/AVM introjects and I call it "Hollosexuality" (or holloromantic)

It's basically the attraction to hollow heads/hollow head introjects regardless of gender or other existing sexualities

Basics:

𓂃 ♪ ┇⠀Hello, My name is Cleo and sometimes I go by Ava, but it's not my preferred name. I use It Its pronouns, but with feminine terms. My body is disconnected from its humanity, just like my gender; intersex. I consider myself Ghostthing in a non-human and non-binary way. Lesbian on the aroace spectrum and deeply in love with my beautiful girlfriend. I'm Hispanic and indigenous among other things, so I don't speak English well.

Diagnosis:

𓂃 ♪ ┇⠀Professionally diagnosed with complex dissociative identity disorder so also complex post-traumatic stress disorder, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder type one, severe predominantly antisocial personality disorder and narcissistic personality disorder . These disorders are the ones that most affect the way I relate to others and they legally disable me. As a specific alter I don't have the pronounced traits of these disorders. Physically diagnosed with EDS and for this reason I use a cane. Also my disability card mentions reduced mobility.

Alter specific:

𓂃 ♪ ┇⠀Introject alter of Ava Starr ( active for years ) and my role is take the chronic pain that EDS causes to the body, also take care of the body if it's in medical danger. I don't believe in doubles, so you can interact ! Physically 20, mentally fluctuating in adult age.

There is something so weird about being a brainmade member of our system with fictive Introject aspects. Like I knew I was myself before, but after playing Mice Tea, a lot of things changed and felt more stable as I resonated with a character so hard I started to adopt more of her. Like Avarstia is still the plan for our legal name but as time goes on the short hand of Ava feels less me directly as I go more into being Sylvia, and it came from a frllow fuzztive in our system that we can't tell if she was brainmade first or an OC first. I knew I was nonhuman before, and I often joked that I was a lizard, but after playing Mice Tea, my therian dysphoria became intense and noticable as a Snake prior to our plurality being disvovered to where it mellowed a little but still the most intense of our system of all nonhumans. My interest in fashion and more traditionally girl things was affirmed, and I grew more into being akin to Sylvia's sort of formal-esque wear. Yellow and Golds strengthened as my favorite color. Things just became clear as to who my identity is, and things started to fall into place like dominos that kinda stopped the maelstrom of not knowing who I am that well.

I know I existed prior to Mice Tea even beginning development. I have been the host for a long time and probably existed in the body originally with our old headmate Duana since the body was really young, but then there us the fact Sylvia Drake is very much in line with my identity as a person. We may be different kinds of snakes, but the majority of our characteristics are kinda one in the same, even mannerisms described in text only.

Simply to say, I guess I am a Fuzztive lol. A partial Fictive in atlwast some ways given hiw Sylvia Drake sort of lines up with me
