Happy Birthday !!!
Simon "Ghost" Riley & fem!Reader
Tumblr media
Last night you said that you wouldn't be able to fully celebrate Simon's birthday because of your busy work. The man was not particularly upset, he was already used to spending this day as usual.
- And tomorrow, together with Scarlet, we need to go to kindergarten in the morning for a holiday. It won't last long. - you looked at Simon and kissed him on the cheek.
- Okay.
You went to bed and waited for the next day, already imagining how you would surprise Simon.
The next morning came. Simon and Scarlet left home at 7 a.m. As soon as they disappeared from view, you launched his entire team into the house. John Price, Johnny, Kyle and your eldest son Matthew helped decorate the house. You had 2 hours for all this and you tried to decorate and cook everything as quickly as possible.
Simon walks into the house with Scarlet in his arms. He is met in the hallway by your dog, who is glad to see his master. Scarlet babbles happily and tells her dad. The two of them still do not suspect anything until they go into the living room, where all Simon's friends and family are gathered. There is a huge inscription "Happy Birthday!" on the wall, balls and jewelry are lying around.
- Happy birthday!!! - everyone is shouting loudly.
You went up to Simon and kissed him.
- How do you like the surprise? We tried our best - your mouth stretched into a wide smile and you gave him your gift wrapped in a bright package.
-Thank you very much. - Simon smiled slightly. But in his heart, this man was ready to squeal with joy. A pleasant feeling spread in his chest at the sight of all the people close to him. The realization that they were all trying for him was pleasant and meant that he was a really important person to them.
It's nice to know that you are loved and appreciated. That your loved ones care about you. That on this special day they arrange a holiday for you and give you a lot of attention and happy impressions.
On this day, Simon finally realized that this birthday is the best day.
In honor of my birthday today, I decided to write such a story. ❤

Since some people liked my last Wally Darling fanfic
I've decided to write another one
WALLY DARLING X GN! READER
Tumblr media
It was Julie's birthday and she wanted to throw a dance party to celebrate it
Everyone attended, including you
Except, you sat by yourself on the sidelines
You didn't know how to dance, and you didn't want to make a fool of yourself
Especially since Wally's here too
You adored Wally and obviously didn't want to embarrass yourself in front of him
Everyone's dancing and having a good time while you sit in the corner trying to not feel bad for yourself
That was until Wally himself walked up to you
"Come on, my friend. Give me your hand." He said, offering you his hand
You ask him what he's doing and he smiles
"I'm walking you back to your house."
As he ushers you out of the party, you keep asking him why he's leaving and that you'll be okay by yourself
"It's okay (Y/n)!" He says
"We already gave Julie our gifts, and she understands that you weren't having fun. And besides, we can hang out with her another day."
You ask him why he decided to leave
"I can't have you walking all by yourself in dark, now can I?"
Your face turned a little red and you two walked together in silence
"(Y/n)?" Wally asked
"Why were you sitting by yourself? You could have joined us."
After deciding to be honest with him, you tell him it's because you don't know how to dance
Wally starts to laugh his awkward monotone laugh
Why was he laughing?
You looked away and he realized he had accidentally offended you
"Oh I'm sorry. I don't mean to be rude. I was laughing because I could have taught you how to dance."
You turn to face him again and he smiles.
"This way." He says taking your hand
Wally starts to lead you away from your house and you ask him where you two are going
"We're going to teach you how to dance!"
He leads you to Home and gently knocks on the door
You try to explain to him that he doesn't have to do this
"Of course I do! What kind of friend would I be if I didn't help you out? What if Julie wants another dance party for her birthday?"
Home's eyes fluttered open and smoke blew out of their chimney.
"Good evening Home. I'm sorry to wake you up. May we come in please?"
More smoke blew out of the chimney
"Yes. We. I brought (Y/n) with me."
After a little bit of silence, Home opened the door and Wally led you inside.
"Thank you, Home."
You always found it a little bit endearing how Wally talked to his house, it was cute.
In a weird way
"This way my friend." Wally said as he led you to his art studio.
"Wait right here."
He moved his easel to a corner in the room and led you to the center
"Home?" Wally called out
He got a small creak in response
"Can you play a slow song for me? Please?"
You heard a low and long creak from a floorboard, as if Home was annoyed in someway
"Thank you." Wally smiled then turned back to you
"Follow my lead, we'll take things slow." He said as he put his hand on your waist and held your other hand in his own
"Put your free hand on my shoulder."
You did as you were told and a slow classical song began to play throughout the room
"Step to the left, step forward, step to the right, step back, and repeat!"
After stepping on his shoes for the first few times, you eventually got the hang of it and spun around the art room as Wally held you in his arms
After dancing for you a few minutes, you told him this wasn't the kind of dancing that Julie was doing at her party
"I know." He said with a wink
Your face turned a bright red again
Wally smiled and held onto your waist tighter before slowly dipping you as the song ended
You felt as if you were going to melt into a puddle
"See how much fun dancing can be?"
You nodded, still too flustered to say anything
Wally stood up straight and let go of your waist
"Looks like Home fell asleep again." He whispered. "That means it's time for us to go to bed too."
You asked him what he meant by "us"
"You're spending the night of course!" He whisper yelled
You knew at this point that you couldn't win against him so you just accepted it
"So, I'll show you my bed and I'll sleep on the couch."
You quickly stopped him and reassured him that you could both sleep in the bed
"Well, if it's alright with you. Then it's alright with me."
Wally gave you a robe of his that you could sleep in when he went to the bathroom to change into his pajamas
The robe smelled like green apple
After you and Wally laid down in bed, you turned away from him as an attempt to not make things more awkward than they already were
That was until you felt him grab your hand
"Turn to me." He whispered
You did and saw him smiling at you. "Did you have fun?"
You nodded and smiled back at him
"I had fun too. I really enjoy your company."
Wally pulled you into his chest for a hug and held you there. "If you know what I mean."
You hugged him back and told him you understood, your face turning red
You heard him laugh a little before he gave you a kiss on top of your head.
"Goodnight my dear."
This was stupidly long
But I enjoyed writing it

Heyyy!!! You don’t have to complete this request right away. I just wanted to give you the idea! You can take your time making this. I just couldn’t get this idea out of my head lol. But could I request a spider noir x reader where the reader takes their daughter and peni to go gift shopping for noir (like maybe for Father’s Day or his bday or smth) and when they pick out a gift for noir and hide it, peni and the reader’s daughter almost spoil the surprise because they keep talking about how excited they are to give it to him. Once again you don’t have to complete this Req right away! This was just a cute little idea I had.
HELLOOOOO <333 dw about it !! i honestly really love this idea /eats it up I HOPE YOU LIKE THISSSS 🫶🫶🫶
(reblogs are greatly appreciated, it helps get my content out there! if you guys like what you see, please reblog it too <:D)
Tumblr media
"now, when he gets home, no one say a thing, okay?" you reminded the girls with a smile as you hung up the 'happy birthday' banner across the walls. peni nodded, and your daughter giggled in response. "daddy's birthday!" she babbled over and over, with peni putting the birthday hat on her as she giggled.
peni played with your daughter for a little to entertain her as you readied everything else for his party, you wanted everything to be perfect, for you knew your husband deserved the best. you hoped he would like what you three had prepared for him, even if it was quite simple. "sure hope he likes it..." you muttered to yourself as you hid the gift you three bought for him away behind a box for peter to find.
peni smiled as she placed a hand on your shoulder, with her carrying your daughter in her other arm. "of course he will, mx. parker. he'd be so happy to see all this effort being put out for him, i'm sure he'd enjoy it." she said with a reassuring grin. your daughter kept beaming about the decorations, saying how pretty they looked and how she wants some cake. you and peni chuckled at how eager your daughter was to celebrate peter's birthday.
you reminded them yet again not to spoil where his gift was, and peni responded with a lip zipping gesture, with your daughter copying her but ending up sucking on her thumb. you smiled as you opened the door to see peter coming out of his car and heading up into the house, a smile curling on his face as he saw his three favorite girls in the whole wide multiverse.
"say, what are you three up to?" he asked with a slight chuckle as he set his hat away, with you taking his coat from him. "oh, nothing, just... we just wanted to greet you when you got home, is that so bad, mr. parker?" you teased him as you gave his cheek a peck. even after being married for nearly four years, peter always freezes up when you kiss him anywhere.
"yeah, peter, we just missed you, is all." peni backed you up with a slight wink at you, which you winked back at as you went to the kitchen to bring out his birthday cake and light the candle. your daughter babbled and squealed as peni handed her to peter, being thoroughly distracted by his darling girls. you soon came out not long after with a homemade cake you three made for him while he was gone. "happy birthday, peter!" you and peni exclaimed as your daughter babbled, "birthday daddy!" and hugged her father, with peni following her.
peter chuckled and smiled wider and wider at how his little family took all this effort to surprise him. he honestly couldn't contain his happiness in that moment, he kept asking you three what this was all for, and you all kept reminding him it was for him--it was his birthday, after all! he thanked you three and after he made his birthday wish, he had peni and your daughter blow out the candles. "that way my wish will go to them." he remarked as he ruffled up their hair and gave them both forehead kisses.
as you four were eating, your daughter tugged at peter's sleeve, with icing all over her mouth. "hmm? what is it, darling?" he asked her as she pointed over to the box you hid his gift at, with her tugging at peter's sleeve harder, given her powers, she nearly made peter lose balance at her strength. he chuckled and followed her, while you and peni were none the wiser, thinking you two would surprise peter and stump him as he searched for the gift you three got him.
but surprise no longer it was when peter exclaimed in delight, with his daughter squealing along with him. "a 4 by 4 rubicks cube?" he exclaimed happily, with you and peni nearly choking on your food, knowing that was the very gift you three were going to surprise him with. he looked back at you two happily, his daughter matching his delight with their identical smiles. he carried her and rushed over to you two and expressed his happiness at your small gift for him. "and here i was thinking my birthday couldn't possibly get any better... thank you, you three..." he murmured as he kissed you both on the tops of your heads.
you chuckled as peni crossed her arms over her chest and faked being mad at her adoptive sister for spoiling the surprise. "you pinky promised you wouldn't spoil!" she said with a small laugh as your daughter babbled and giggled. you chuckled. "we were going to have you look all over for it, actually. but seeing you this happy... it's way more worth it, love." you said as he leaned over to share a heartfelt kiss, with peni covering your daughters eyes and joking about you two getting a room.
peter lightly laughed as you two pulled away and gazed into each other's eyes for a moment. "you know what, that's a good idea peni. i'd love to spend the night with your loving parent figure for a little while, you girls don't mind, do you?" he asked them, to which peni nodded and took your daughter off to her room to play, leaving you two alone. "happy birthday, peter." you whispered to him as he leaned in to kiss you again. "happy birthday to me, indeed."

A Perfect Fit (II)
James Potter x muggle reader
Note: (Mature content in bold!) (Part I) / (part 3)
Tumblr media
"Harry! Don't forget to wash your hands!" Y/n yelled at the top of her lungs. James entered the house once more, leaving the door open.
"Great, here." Y/n said as she handed him two small suitcases and grabbed her white handbag and two grocery bags.
"Give me those." Y/n's best friend, Nicole said, as she took the bags from Y/n and threw them into the back seat of Y/n's car.
"Careful, my glasses are in those." Y/n said tiredly as, Nicole dismissed her with a wave.
You may be wondering what all the rush was but it was currently 9 in the morning and they had two hours to get to the Potter household, where they would celebrate Harry's sixth birthday.
"I'll got get the little rascal," Nicole said, walking back into the house. "You have 15 seconds to hide before the tickle monster choses his next victim!"
Y/n turned to face James and closed the car's boot. James smiled at her and reached for her hand. "What's going on? You seem...distracted."
Y/n stared at the James, eyes narrowed in thought, "How is it we've been dating for four years and not once have I met you parents?"
James raised an eyebrow and let a small grin tug on his mouth, "Are you nervous?"
"I am not nervous, I just think it's not fair you've met my parents loads of times and this my first time meeting yours."
"Your parents are great-"
"-You're only saying that because my father never wastes an opportunity to embarrass me."
"My parents will love you, there is nothing to be worried about." James assured, cupping the side of her face in his hand and kissing her forehead.
"I think there are lots of things to be worried of." Y/n mutters just as Nicole walks out with a pouting Harry on her shoulders.
"Dad! Tell Aunt Nicole I'm not a baby!" Harry whines.
"But you are! You're just a witow baby." Nicole teases in a baby voice, pinching his little chubby cheeks.
"No! I'm big!" He defends crossing his arms with huff, while Nicole buckles up his seat belt. "Stop snogging, we're gonna be late." Nicole comments, Y/n sticks her tongue out at her, causing the other to do the same.
James walks over to Harry's side and kisses the boy's head. "C'mon Prongslet, that's no mood to welcome your birthday with."
"Aunti Cole started it!"
"Aunti Cole won't be giving you any presents if you blame her again." The older woman retorts making Harry shut up with hopeful eyes.
"Okay, i'll go check over the house real quick and be back." Y/n replied as she ran back, making sure all the windows were closed, light's and stoves switched off and locking the doors.
"All ready?" James asked as Y/n sat at the drivers seat and switched on the engine. The car roared to life whilst they buckled up.
"Here we go." Y/n muttered unsure as she drove out the driveway and into the road; starting their two-hour journey.
An hour later, Nicole and Harry were out cold, leaned over each other in an adorable way. (James definitely didn't sneak a picture)
That left James and Y/n the only ones awake. And James didn't know if it was the tiredness creeping on him or the heat of the noon sun but he couldn't help admire every feature of Y/n's gorgeous figure.
His eyes, hazed with love and awe, roamed over her hair, the wind brushing through it, the light casting an illuminated outline over it.
Her hands, nails painted and filed, fingers drumming over the steering wheel. She had one hand over the wheel, the other clasped with James'. His thumb stroked her knuckles basking in the feeling of soft skin.
"Alright, baby?" Y/n asked looking over at him.
"You're so beautiful." He muttered, bringing her hand to his lips, kissing the back and trailing kisses over her palm, Y/n chuckled and grabbed his chin. She gave the empty road a last look before guiding his head towards hers' for a small yet sweet peck.
"You're not so bad yourself." She teased with a smile. Y/n faced him once more noting his tired dopey eyes. "Rest." She said as she brushed his hair back and rested his head on the car seat.
"I don't wanna leave you alone."
"I'm be fine, James. Only fourty-minutes left." She reassured and though James tried to resist his sleepiness and protest, he failed.
In a blink, Y/n's voice gently coaxed him from sleep and once he opened his eyes he met the large, brown doors of his family house.
"Nicole, Nikki, wake up." Y/n nudged the sleeping girl as she unbuckled Harry's seat belt. Harry stirred in his sleep as Y/n brought him up and hoisted him at her hip.
"I'm up, I'm up." Nicole commented groggily as she rubbed her eyes.
James got up and unlocked the truck pulling out the suitcases and handing Y/n her handbag, shutting the boot and locking the car.
The three of them of made their way to the door and knocked. "You didn't metion you lived in castle, Potter." Nicole raised a brow.
"It's not a castle." James muttered, pink dusting his cheeks. "Sorry didn't hear that, what did you say?" Nicole teased but just before James could answer the door swinged open revealing a woman in her mid-fourtiee, who Y/n identified as James's mother.
"Jamie!" The woman squealed as she tugged James in a crushing hug, " 'Jamie'?" Snorted Nicole, who got jabbed in the rib by Y/n.
"Hello, mum." James greeted his face red but still lifted with a smile.
"You must be Y/n!" Mrs. Potter says with a large smile and a point of her finger.
"Thank you for having us Mrs. Potter."
"Euphemia, and please my house is yours."
The older lady pulls Y/n into a hug and kisses both of her cheeks, "and there's my grandson! Oh, he's sleeeping." Mrs. Potter noted, she pushed Harry's hair aside, and kissing his forehead.
"Nicole?" She tries with a smile as Nicole nods with a chuckle and also gets a hug. "Come on in! Fleamont will be back shortly, he'll be wanting to see all of you. I can see your all tired, why don't rest till dinner, hmm?" She suggests.
"Jamie, if Y/n doesn’t want to sleep with you, she can have the room across from yours. And I'll show Nicole her room."
Nicole takes her bag from James and follows Mrs. Potter.
"C'mon, Harry's rooms is up here." James says as he leads Y/n to a large, classically decorated room with a heavily pillowed bed in the centre.
James walks of to the side placing Harry's spiderman suitcase near the small wardrobe.
Y/n leans down and gently rests Harry on the bed, the small boy squirms and whimpers. "Shhh." Y/n whispers patting his bed back to sleep as James covers him with the large duvet.
Y/n removes his glasses and places them on the bedside. She grabs some of the large pillows and lies them on each of his sides so he doesn't fall off.
Y/n and James both turns kissing his head before leaving the room, shutting it gently.
James wraps an arm around Y/n's waist, leading her towards his room, the other hand carrying their suitcase.
"It may be a little...messy." James warns sheepishly as they take a turn and meet Mrs. Potter.
"Was just showing Nicole her room. I'm so happy to have you here. James and Harry have told us so much about you." She says as she hugs you once more, he face pulled into the biggest smile you've ever seen.
"All good things I hope." Y/n joked, looking up at James, chuckling at his flushed face.
"Mum-"
"Nonsense, I should've had you bring her over years ago." She emphasises, "I have a right to meet the woman who so wonderfully helped raise my grandson, don't you think? The boy turned out to be the sweetest, kindest boy I've seen." Euphemia complements and it's Y/n's turn to flush.
"Everytime Harry comes over, he spends most of his time telling me of all of his adventures with 'Y/n and Aunti Cole'. The boy absolutely adores you, you were the perfect woman to fill the place of Harry's mother figure. Thank you." She says, slightly tearing up as Y/n hugs her.
"It was nothing." She says, running her hand soothingly up and down Euphemia's back. "We are all so lucky to have Y/n in our lives." James says as he brings Y/n into a side hug and kisses her head. "We really are." James adds softly as Y/n tries to object.
The older woman laughs wiping her eyes. "Well, I won't take more of your time. I'll call for you, when dinner is ready."
James leads Y/n to his bedroom and just as she enters with their suitcase in hand, his mum calls him.
"Yes, mum?"
"Don't forget the silencing charms." She winks, as James stutters and reds profusely. "Mum!"
"What? We don't need to hear you concieve my next Granchild." She says laughing. James only stares at his mum's retreating figure in silent shock.
"James?" Y/n's voice comes, muffled.
"Coming." He calls, entering the room and shutting.
-
Y/n flops down the soft, moaning at the feeling of James' soft pillows and covers hitting her face.
She turns on her side and stretches like a cat as James walks out of the bathroom in a new dressing.
"You need to change love." James comments, holding a hand out, to help get Y/n out of bed.
She jumps out and pushes her hair behind her ears. "Do you like this dress? I got for this occasion, specially." She says brushing down the sides of the green dress she's wearing.
"You look beautiful in everything. Even that tomato suit you wore at Halloween." He laughs as you wince.
Sirius and Nicole had teamed up to get Harry to want to go as a vegetable, thankfully their Harry dearest changed his mind last minute and chose to go as Spider-Man, leaving her and James to go as Catwoman and Batman.
Y/n smirked at the memory of her skin tight catsuit. "That wasn't the only thing you loved that night."
Her cheeky smile met his flushed cheeks.
"Be honest, do you like the dress?" She asked. James sighed and let his eyes roam over the dark fabric.
"I don't like green." He said honestly, "But you make it look beautiful." He added.
"What about these necklaces?" She asked toying with gold chains wrapped around her neck.
"Y/n..." James pleaded but she only pouted. James faced his feet taking off his socks, not wishing to meet his girlfriend's sad eyes. He heard Y/n sigh deeply causing his heart to clench.
"Well...I've got one more thing..." She said and following was the sound of shuffling. "James?" He heard her call.
James shut his eyes, taking a deep breathe and lifting his head before opening them.
Y/n's dress pooled at her feet, leaving her in nothing but a set of lacy white lingerie and a fake pout. "You don't like it do you?"
She turned around and shook her head as she took of the jewelry, giving James a perfect view of her back form.
In one swift movement James stood in front of her, he slipped his hands under her thighs, meaning for her to wrap them around his torso.
"You planned that?" He asked, moving them to the bed and laying above her. "Maybe." She teased and moaned when James ground down on her.
"Got me all hard while we're at my parents house." He groaned, slipping off shirt as Y/n pushed his pants down with her foot.
James attached his lips to Y/n's neck sucing and licking purple bruises all over. He trailed his kisses to her collar bone, between her breasts, down her stomach and just over the band of her panties.
He pressed a kiss to her clit, right over the fabric, causing her to moan and arch her back.
"James!"
"Tricking and teasing me like that." He tutted.
Y/n huffed and in one quick move, she had James on his back and her sitting on his very revealed erection.
James groaned as Y/n moved her hips against him. "Fuck, Y/n!"
She took off the pieces of clothing that limited their touch and pleasure as James' hands gripped onto her hips, "Gonna ride me, darling?" Jamss taunted but stopped short when Y/n unclasped her bra and let it fall off, throwing somewhere cross the room.
Even after four years of this, James was still always stunned by her beauty, he didn't think there would ever be a time where he got used to this. Her.
She leaned over letting her breasts lay against his chest, and brought her lips just over his. James squirmed in his place, desperate for friction. "Still in a taunting mood, Potter?" She asked.
He brought his lips to her pushing his tongue through and claiming every inch of her mouth. Y/n pulled away with a smirk, her hair falling over and framing her face.
She placed little kisses over his collarbone before pushing back and grabbing his cock, causing him to give out an involuntary moan.
She rubbed his precum over the tip before raising her hips and let him slide in slowly. They both moaned, James had a hand in her right hip and another in between her legs, a finger circling her nub.
"James..." Y/n breathed out as she rocked her hips back and forth.
Y/n breath hitches when James presses her down onto him and his hips rock up. A curse leaves her mouth that soon turns into whimpers and soft moans as he moves with her.
One of his hands travels down but she pushes it away. He groans. He's close, she can feel it.
His voice grows darker, his moans louder, and in her own body, the knot tightens. It tightens and tightens and when his movements begin to lose control, become more erratic with each thrust, it doesn’t take long for her to see stars in front of her eyes.
"James..." She pleas coming, soft and trembling, back arching and blabbering his name over and over.
James follows shortly after and fuck, he just know that the image of Y/n overcome with pleasure will always stun him to silence.
The waves of Y/n's orgasm wash over her and suddenly she lacks any strength to hold herself up any longer.
James wraps an arm around her when she sinks down to rest on his chest. He’s still breathing heavily, even when his fingers trace lazy lines on the skin of her body.
She smiles.
James moves closer and places a peck on her lips. "Hi." She replies softly, revealing the tiredness in her voice. "I love you." He whispers kissing her temple. "Me too." She says with a lazy smirk as James barks out a laugh.
"You love yourself too?" He jokes laughing as she nods with a grin, "But I guess I love you too."
"You 'guess'?" He questions with an amused brow. Y/n rolls her eyes and gets up, "I'm going to go shower."
James groans.
"And if your done moping, you can join me."

Jack Harlow x Reader : TÍO JACK JACK
Requested and ideas by my amiga @hoodharlow 🤗❤️‍🔥
Tumblr media
“Baby, do not give Cassie that.” You tell your husband as you both are packing up for your god daughters birthday party.
“What? Why not?” He asks.
“Jack, she's five, she is not going to want that.”
“This is a neat gift, she’ll love it you’ll see ” He says, sounding offended.
“Okay, whatever you say baby. Now go get our little monsters.”
You and your family arrive at Urban’s and your best friend's house where you’ll be celebrating Cassie’s birthday with close friends and family.
You are both helping your kids out from their carseats and you notice your husband is getting impatient.
“Jack, babe, it’s just us. You’ll be the second one to give her her birthday present.”
“Second? Who beat me to it? Was it Copelan?”
You chuckle, “No, Urban, you know her father.”
He rolls his eyes. “Everyone ready?” He claps, “Okay let’s go.”
He grabs the gifts, the desserts you baked, and grabs your son Ezequiel, and they make their way to the house.
“Mama, why is daddy acting funny?” Mia asks.
“He’s just excited to give Cassandra her gift.”
“But we picked the gift.” Mia says confused.
“He got her something extra.” You finally enter the house and make your way to the living room.
“Babe hurry, Urb said it would be fine if I gave Cassie her gift already.” Jack yells.
You roll your eyes. But sit down on the couch, pull out your phone and start recording.
“Okay Cassie, are you ready to open the best gift you’ll ever receive?”
“I’m ready tio Jack-Jack”
Jack hands her the box, she unwraps it, opens the box and freezes. “A triangle????”
“Bro, no you didn’t.” Urban says laughing.
Jack is smiling and pulls it out. “Look, this is how it works.”
Cassie is looking even more confused watching Jack play the triangle and doing a little dance move.
“Cass daddy got you it from his tv.” Ezequiel says, referring to Jack’s Super Bowl commercial for Doritos. “Go daddy, that sound cool.”
Cassie smiles at that and reaches for Jack, “Thank you Nino.”
Jack hugs her and hands her her gift back, and she alongside Ezequiel and Mia run off to the little play corner set up and start playing with it.
“I still can’t believe you got her that. You were excited about that?” Urban laughs.
“Shut up fucker, she loves it look at her.”
It’s been three days since you all celebrated Cassie’s fifth birthday and your best friend has been texting you saying how Jack will pay, or that you better hide your husband because she was going to beat his ass.
Jack was in the other room when his phone rings, you go look to see who it is in case it was important but you notice it’s a FaceTime call from Urban so you answer it.
“Urb, Hii, Jack is with the kids right now, let me go take his phone real quick.”
“TELL HIS ASS I HATE HIM.” Urban yells, pulling at his hair.
“What? Why? What happened.?” You sound concerned so you sprint towards the other room where Jack and the kids are in. “Babe, Urban is on the phone.”
You sit next to him and hand him his phone. “What’s up bro?”
“You’re going to pay for this.” He turns the camera and it pans to Cassie jumping on her bed. “It hasn’t stopped since you bought her that crap.”
“I don’t see anything wrong with that.” Jack says.
“YOU WAIT AND SEE.” Your best friend yells but isn’t seen on the screen.
Cassandra then jumps off her bed, goes and stands in front of her toy microphone stand “I could put the ball in the end zone, Put a bad bitch in the friendzone, ooh” Cassie sings all while playing the music triangle Jack gave her.
You and Jack laugh at that while Mia cheers “You finally got the lines good Cass.” And she claps.
“I’m telling you right now Jack, don’t get mad when I show up with turtles and pigs for Mia.” Urban says.
“Now wait a minute-“
“NOO, YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT.”
“Not fair, I got her an instrument not a live thing.”
“I would’ve preferred a live thing. Now bye, I have to tell my daughter she isn’t allowed to sing her uncles songs.” Urban yells and hangs up.
“I still think that was a pretty good gift.” Jack shruggs.

Squidmas Special ‘23
Rating: G, Word Count: 4,863
This special was originally posted on AO3 in two parts between Chapter #22 - 1 and Chapter #22 - 2. It takes place 8 years after the end of TPWCH. Ryland, Three, and Captain are all the same person! I also made this relationship chart to help since there’s so many characters being introduced so quickly. And yeah, Koi’s birthday is on Squidmas, so they’re celebrating both events together. The story starts below the cut!
Tumblr media
“You’re sure it’ll be okay? It’s just… there’s gonna be so many people…”
“Yes, Capa. It’s gonna be okay. We have to let Tsuku spread her wings. She has to be able to take risks in order to live her life. We took plenty of them.”
“I know, I know…”
“And, hey. If anything goes wrong, we’ll both be there to protect her.”
The Inkling took their husband’s hands playfully. “I think that would just be you.”
“You’re telling me the Captain of the New Squidbeak Splatoon wouldn’t be able to hold off a couple of fourteen-year-olds? Because I know they could.” Eight bopped the white puff on the end of Captain’s Squidmas hat.
“I get nervous around little kids! I don’t know what to do or say! You know this.”
“Is that what it is? You’re nervous the kids won’t like you?”
“I mean…” Captain shrugged. They hadn’t been consciously thinking about that, but now that Eight mentioned it, maybe that was part of their hesitation.
“It’s all right to feel nervous… but kids always love you! Remember that one at Tako Bell who—”
“Yeah, yeah I know. I’m probably worrying for no reason.”
“Such is life.”
“And… what about the other parents? They’re probably all cishet Inklings, and we’re so much younger than everyone else…”
“If anything goes wrong, we can leave, okay? Or you can leave and I can stay… or whatever works in the moment.”
Captain nodded, and after a moment he raised his head to kiss Eight. “Okay, now where’s Tsuku?”
Captain made their way to their daughter’s bedroom door. “Hey Tsuku, it’s about time to go!”
“Ah, sorry, sorry… just five more minutes!”
“Okay koko, just come out to the living room when you’re ready!”
Returning to the living room, Captain saw Eight waiting, now with his shoes on.
“Tsuku’s still going to be about ten minutes,” Captain explained.
Eight checked his phone. “We’re going to be late…”
“That’s okay.”
“Yeah. Yeah it is.”
Captain ended up opening one of the dumb word games on their phone, and Eight did his best to help, until Tsuku appeared in the hallway. She was wearing a cute little red dress with white flats. Captain bent down closer to her and gushed, “Myushi-myushi ba~!
“Oh my cod, Fufu.”
Captain kissed the top of Tsuku’s head. “C’mon, let’s go!”
It was only a short train ride, and then they were standing at the front door of Koi’s family’s house.
“Um… do we knock…?” Eight murmured.
They looked at each other, and Captain shrugged. Then they both jumped back when Tsuku stepped up between them and gave the door a confident rap. Koi opened the door a few seconds later, and her orange pigtails flopped over Tsuku’s shoulders as they hugged tightly. Captain and Eight threw each other an awkward glance as they waited in the blocked doorway, and the two young Cephalings didn’t separate until another voice from inside the house called out, “Tsuku! You made it!”
The Inkling who had just started going by KJ ran up to them and hugged Tsuku too, although—both Captain
and Eight noticed—this one was much shorter.
Meanwhile, Koi stood on her toes and said, “Hello, Mr…. um… and… uh… sorry, are you… Tsuku’s parents?”
“Yep,” Eight said. “You can just call us us Eight and Captain… or Tsuku’s dad and parent, if that’s easier. The last names are sort of complicated.”
“Oh, okay! Welcome to our home… sorry again.”
“It’s totally okay! No harm done.”
As they entered, following behind the girls and KJ, Captain made a whining sound and whispered to Eight, “That was so awkward…”
Eight gave him a quick kiss on the forehead. “I know it’s hard. You’re doing great.” Eight also slipped his hand into Captain’s for support.
A few seconds later, they arrived in the kitchen, where René was at the dining table trying to explain the rules of chess to Cody, seemingly rather unsuccessfully. Beyond that was the living room, where eight adults sat on several sofas and armchairs arranged in a U-shape around a low coffee table, conversing in groups of two or three. A Squidmas tree in the corner glistened with ornaments and tinsel.
When René and Cody saw them, they both got up and raced toward them. Cody got there first and gave Tsuku a quick hug before rattling off a long stream of almost unintelligible words while bouncing on his heels excitedly. Then René hugged her too, but, unless Captain was mistaken, it seemed a bit more awkward than the others had been.
“Hi boys, nice to meet you. I’m Eight, Tsuku’s dad.” Eight shook each of their hands.
Captain just kind of smiled at them.
Thankfully, Cody interrupted: “René was just showing me this game called chest!”
“Chess,” René corrected.
“And there’s all these little figurine things that are so cool, my favorite is the little horse!”
“Knight.”
“And to win the game you have to trap the other player’s king, and it's called a checkmake!”
“Checkmate.”
“C’mon, René can show us how to play, he’s so good at explaining things!”
Tsuku, Koi, and KJ looked at each other, shrugged, and then started to gather around the table.
Eight squeezed Captain’s hand. “Ready?”
“As I’ll ever be…”
They hadn’t stepped two paces into the living room when a woman with long orange tentacles jumped up from a sofa to face them. “Oh, welcome! You must be Tsuku’s parents, then? Eight and Captain, right? Here, take our seats!” She started tugging at the arm of the man next to her until he stood.
“Oh, no, it’s okay!” Eight tried.
“No, I insist. Have a seat.”
So Captain and Eight scooted in next to a pale woman with frizzy purple tentacles, just like her son.
“You must be Cody’s mother?” Eight said.
“Yep. Alicia. Nice to meet you.”
“Likewise,” said Eight.
“And you’re Tsuku’s parents?”
“Right. We—”
“Oh, of course!” Koi’s mother interrupted, now sitting on the floor with her legs folded. Her voice was so strong that the other conversations quickly fizzled out. “Everyone, these are Tsuku’s parents, Eight and Captain. Eight and Captain, you’ve just met Alicia.” She pointed to a Black family with green tentacles sitting together on the sofa against the left wall. The husband and wife seemed to be the oldest out of everyone there, while the third person was the youngest. “These are Atlas and Jeane, René’s parents. And Atlas’s son Alex, just next to them.” Now she gestured toward the couch on the right, where another couple sat, this one with magenta tentacles. “And KJ’s parents, Vanessa and Robert. Have I missed anyone? Oh, of course! I’m Koi’s mother, Amanda, and this is my husband Glen.”
“Nice to meet you all,” Eight said.
“Nice to meet you,” Captain managed to squeak out, adding a little wave.
“You know, you both look so young for your age,” Amanda continued. “I’m so jealous!”
“Actually, I’m only 26…” Captain explained.
“Oh!” Captain could see the gears turning in Amanda’s head, trying to do the math.
“Um… we adopted her when she was six. I was only eighteen, so it was a hard decision, but she didn’t have a home, and we were the only ones who could take her in. I’ve always been… something between a sibling and a parent to her.”
“I see. Well, from what I hear from Koi, you’re doing a great job.”
Captain thought of several things to say, but he couldn’t get his mouth to form the words.
“Oh… have I said something?”
“Sorry, sorry! That just… means a lot, is all. Thank you.”
Amanda directed her next question at Eight, which Captain was grateful for. “So how long have you two been together?”
Eight looked at Captain with such a reminiscent, loving expression that it nearly made Captain blush in front of everyone. “We met each other eight years ago in July, and we started dating in November. We got married three years later, and we just had our fifth anniversary in August.”
Captain was frozen the whole time, staring down at a certain spot on the carpet. But when Eight shifted and leaned into him slightly, it broke the trance, and Captain looked up at him. They shared a smile.
“Remember our fifth anniversary, hun?” said Vanessa. “That feels so long ago.”
“Well, we are getting dangerously close to our twentieth, aren’t we?” Robert said back with a chuckle.
“At least you’re not staring down your fiftieth birthday,” Atlas remarked, with such an even tone Captain wouldn’t have known what to make of it if the smile hadn’t given it away.
“Fifty? No~!” Glen said with incredulity.
“Only two months left. I might as well start digging my grave now.”
“Oh my cod, dad…” the son, Alex, groaned.
“Oh, like you’ve never been dramatic about your age. I’m 14, I’m basically an adult,” Atlas mocked, using a deeper voice.
Alex rolled his eyes and went back to scrolling on his phone, but just after the conversation picked up again and everyone else had turned their attention elsewhere, Captain noticed that Altas nudged his son, and they both shared a smirk that somehow seemed to convey a strikingly strong bond of love between them.
Captain snapped to attention when they heard their name; it was coming from Amanda again: “Thank you again for coming, Captain, Eight. I’m sure Koi will love having Tsuku here. And it’s so nice to finally meet you both! And the same to you too, of course, Atlas and Jeane.”
A knock came from the front door. Captain whipped their head around toward it and made a confused face. They were sure that their family had arrived last, and everyone who they had expected to to come was already there. So who could this be at the door? Perhaps a pizza delivery or something?
They all already knew that the kids would beat any adult to the door, so they just waited, and Captain watched the archway to the kitchen anxiously, until finally someone stepped through—
“Lyle? What…” Captain couldn’t stop the exclamation before it was already out of their mouth.
“Heya, Captain. And everyone,” Lyle said with a smug grin. Eli stepped into view a moment later, holding his husband’s hand, and with his other hand he towed little Tempest behind him.
“Hi Amanda, thank you for having us!” Eli said.
“Also, um… Tempest’s bio moms wanted to come too at the last second, I hope it’s all right that we brought them along.”
And now the Meer-Hannon family stepped forward to reveal Agents Four and Neo Three—but they really should be calling them Aubrey and Yuki in a context like this. Each one was holding an infant with yellow ink.
Amanda jumped up from her seat again to greet them. “Oh, of course! Thank you so much for coming, I’m sure Betta will be delighted to see Tempest. She’s outside with Ava and Kate.”
“Do you wanna go outside?” Eli asked Tempest.
Tempest looked toward the sliding-glass door but shrunk back away from it, into Eli’s body. “You don’t have to,” he soothed. “You can stay in here if you want.”
Then Koi’s younger sister Betta poked her head in from outside. “Tempest?”
“Betta!” And any apprehension disappeared.
Captain jumped when Alicia called out from right next to him, “Kate? Is everyone doing okay out there?”
Now the older Larsen’s face appeared in the door. “Yep, all good, mom! Betta bit Aaron’s finger, but he’ll survive!”
“Aaron, are you sure you’re okay?” Alicia called back.
“Yes, Ms. Caruso, I’m fine!” a slightly strained voice called back.
“Betta!” Amanda called over them, jumping up yet again and heading for the door. “We do not bite our guests!”
“You want me, you get the whole package,” Kate joked.
“I wouldn’t trade it for the world,” Aaron said, coming just far enough into view that Captain could see him staring into her eyes. The scene was sickly sweet. Cod, had Captain and Eight been like that when they were younger?
Yes. Yes, they had been.
Then Captain’s thoughts were interrupted by a desperate cry of “FUFU!”
“Koko… woi’e bare?” Captain responded instinctively. Then they froze. Terrified, they shot a quick glance back at the other parents. None of them seemed to be staring at him—at least not directly—which he took as a good sign.
“What is it, Tsuku?” Captain said, hoping it would encourage her to respond in Inkling.
It worked, but it wouldn’t have mattered anyway since Tsuku got close and whispered, “I forgot the gift for the Secret Snowsquid!”
The gift… had they left it at home? Wait. Captain felt his pocket and, sure enough, he felt a small box covered in wrapping paper. “Oh, I have it here! I grabbed it just in case.”
Captain held it it to her, and the distress was replaced by a huge grin of relief as she took it. “You had it the whole time? Why didn’t you tell me!”
Captain lifted their hands in a shrugging pose. “I forgot.”
They both giggled. “Thank you, Fufu!”
“Of course, Koko. Are you having a good time?”
“Yeah! I just beat everyone in Super Splat Squids!”
“I’m glad all the years of indoctrinating you into video games paid off.”
“Okay, I’m gonna go back now. Thank you!” She gave them a quick hug.
“Of course.”
And now everyone was staring at them.
“Aww, you have such a cute relationship with her!” Vanessa said.
“Oh. It’s uh… nothing special,” Three murmured.
Now Amanda returned from outside.
“I’m so sorry about that again, Alicia.”
“Oh, I’m sure Aaron will be fine. As long as Betta doesn’t have rabies!”
Everyone laughed except for Amanda, who gave a tight-lipped smile. Then she seemed to notice Lyle, Eli, Aubrey, Yuki, and the twins. “Oh! Please, come sit! Oh… oh dear, we really should have planned for this better… you know what, I’ll go get the lawn chairs!”
“No no, don’t bother! We’ll manage. I think Mako wants down, anyway,” Aubrey assured her.
Amanda looked frantically around her before finally managing to calm herself down. “Very well, then. And you must be…?”
“Aubrey. And this is my girlfriend Yuki.”
Yuki braced Seki against her chest with one arm and raised the other hand in greeting.
“Good to meet you! Good to meet you…” Amanda seemed on the verge of a panic attack.
Four and Yuki took up spots on the floor and let Mako and Seki start toddling around them. Meanwhile, Eli sat on the arm of the sofa right next to Captain, and Lyle gave everyone an almost defiant look before plopping down right on Eli’s lap.
“Wow Eli, thanks for the up-close view of your ass,” Captain murmured.
“No, thank you! That’s the first time you’ve ever complimented my ass before.”
Captain gave a clearly forced smile.
They got along fine with Eli nowadays, but they couldn’t completely ignore the small part of them that got nervous every time they were around Eli, or even Lyle. It just dug up too many old memories.
The group got to asking about the twins, and how one of the hardest times was right after they start walking because you have to chase them around everywhere, and Jeane said something about how lucky Aubrey and Yuki were to be young and agile. Aubrey seemed to relax more after that.
“You seem awfully quiet. Yuki, isn’t it?” Atlas said eventually, holding eye contact with the Octoling.
Noticing his stare, Yuki signed I’m deaf with one hand, sort of dismissively.
Aubrey nudged her and explained, “Yuki is deaf.”
“Oh, my sister is deaf, so I know some of the local sign! Um…” Robert then signed something Captain didn’t recognize, probably in Inkopolis Signed Vernacular.
“Um…” Aubrey began, also clearly not recognizing it.
Japen. Japen! Japenese Sign Language! Yuki signed to her fervently.
“Oh, we use… uh… Japenese Sign Language, since Yuki is originally from Japen. It’s… an obscure local dialect.”
Yuki signed something else Captain didn’t recognize, looking a bit less confident with the hand movements, and Yuki and Robert conversed for a few minutes.
About two hours had passed since the Meer-Hannons and Kekoa-Johnsons’ arrival when the doorbell rang again, and this time it really was just pizza. Everyone gathered around the kitchen counter, where Amanda was frantically trying to set out plates and plasticware. “Okay everyone, if you want a drink, write your name on your cup with this Sharkie, and be sure to put it back when—” But the rest of Amanda’s words were drowned out by the commotion.
Captain hung back a ways away from they’d had the the first chance crowd, figuring they’d let everything die down before going to get their food. Eight waited with them, and a moment later his hand slipped into their hand. “Doing okay?” he whispered.
“Yeah. I think so. I wasn’t expecting to see Lyle and all of them.”
“Yeah, that was a bit of a surprise! Is it okay that they’re here?”
“Of course! Of course it’s okay that they’re here. It’s nice to see everyone.”
Eight met Captain’s eyes, and he didn’t look away until he seemed satisfied with Captain’s reassurance. “You can always step away if you need to, I’ll cover for you.”
“Thanks.”
They shared a smile. “Pizza?”
“Sure.”
Everyone huddled in the kitchen, making use of any chair, barstool, or—in Mako, Seki, and Eli’s case—lap that they could find, while Captain and Eight leaned against the kitchen counter, putting as much distance between themselves and the commotion as they could. Captain nodded in Eli and Lyle’s direction and scoffed. “How are they so confident? Lyle didn’t figure out he’s gay until like five years after I did. And Eli took even longer!”
“Yeah, but it went over a lot better for them. They don’t have the same trauma. And besides, it’s Lyle and Eli. Did you really expect anything different?”
Eight reached an arm around them and gently pulled them in closer.
“Merry Squidmas, Capa.”
After a glance to make sure no one was watching them, Eight gave Captain a quick kiss.
“Merry Squidmas, Eight.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That was followed by Koi opening some presents from her family and sharing some hugs with her parents.
Finally, Amanda announced that it was time for the gift exchange. They all gathered in the living room again, with Tsuku, Koi, Betta, René, Cody, Ava, Kate, and Aaron sitting in a circle on the floor near the tree. Each held a gift wrapped in colorful paper, ranging in size from the wallet-sized rectangle Tsuku was holding to a box as tall as Betta. Captain found themself staring at each of the wrapped gifts, as if staring hard enough would allow them to bore through the wrappings and see their contents.
Who had drawn Tsuku’s name weeks ago? What would they have gotten her? What if something went wrong?
Captain somehow missed Amanda’s explanation of how the gift exchange would work and the first few gifts being given. He didn’t even notice what the gifts were, only that Betta was shouting in joy, and everyone was laughing, and everything had suddenly become very, very loud.
Captain made eye contact with Eight, who was already giving him a concerned look. Eight nodded, and Captain got up, trying not to seem too hurried as they made for the bathroom. They sunk to the floor and put their head between their knees, left by themself with their thoughts, and took several deep breaths to try to calm down.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fourteen years ago
Ryland stared listlessly at nothing in particular as the students around him filtered into the classroom and found their seats. He didn’t even notice when someone sat just to his right.
“Hi, Ryland!”
Ryland snapped out of his daze. “Oh, Ophie. Hi.”
Ryland's and Ophelia’s fathers knew each other from work, and Ryland was pretty sure his father was trying to set him up with her, but she had always been nice to him.
She leaned toward him conspiratorially. “Who did you get for your Secret Snowsquid?”
“We’re not supposed to tell,” Ryland said.
Ophie giggled. “That’s the right answer!”
Ophie seemed to be waiting for a certain response, but Ryland had no idea what it could be, or what she had meant from her last exclamation. He just kind of smiled awkwardly at her.
Luckily, a few seconds later, the teacher saved him from having to respond. “Good morning, class. Does everyone have their gift?”
“Yes, Mrs. Ippy,” chorused about a quarter of the students. Most of the others did have gifts; they just weren’t paying attention. “We’re going to be gathering by grade, so everyone find the others in your grade and sit in a circle. First graders, up here by me…”
Ryland automatically tuned out the extraneous information, but by the time he tuned back in, it was too late, and everyone had already started moving. Ryland just followed Ophie back to the corner of the classroom near the door, where they sat on the carpet. About thirty of them gathered around in a circle, out of whom Ryland recognized Billy and his clan—Lyle,
Eli, Clyde, and Blitz. Ryland and Billy made eye contact, and the smirk on Billy’s face turned Ryland’s stomach.
Instead, he scanned the rest of the circle, trying to remember which one Cairo was—that was the name he had drawn a week ago.
“Okay everyone, put your gifts in the middle of the circle. The Class Leader will go first, and then go around the circle one at a time,” Mrs. Ippy called from somewhere far away.
Billy was up in an instant and making his way toward the growing pile of presents.
“Hey! It’s not your turn!” shouted one of the girls—Emily, he thought.
“Hmm, I’m sure the Class Leader doesn’t mind, right?” he glared at Blitz, who quickly shook his head. So Billy sauntered up to the pile and dug around for a while before finally pulling out a package. He tore it open and revealed a box of chocolates. Ryland thought he heard Ophie gasp next to him, but she didn’t say anything.
They continued around the circle, and eventually Ophie tore open her gift to reveal a pack of orange gummy candies. She frowned, probably because she didn’t like orange flavor. She looked at Ryland, and he just shrugged. “I’ll swap with you if I get something you like.”
“Oh. So… you didn’t get me?”
“No, I got Cairo. I don’t know who got you.”
Then Billy’s perpetually whiny voice interrupted them. “C’mon Ryland, that’s enough chit-chat! You’re holding up everyone else.”
Something felt wrong as Ryland got up and walked to the center of the circle. He squirmed as he felt everyone’s eyes on him. The whole room seemed more quiet than it should have been. It felt like it took an eternity to dig through the pile of presents in search of one with his own name.
And there it was: a small box about the size of a pack of playing cards. And for a minute he thought that might be what they were. He went back to his seat and sat down with it, hoping that that would reduce the number or eyes on him, but it was no use. Everyone was staring at him, as if expecting something to happen. Finally, Ryland realized he couldn’t stall any longer, and he slowly began to tear open the package.
But it wasn’t a pack of cards at all.
It was a pack of cigarettes.
It only took Ryland a few seconds before he understood what they meant. He started to shake, staring uncontrollably at the pack of cigarettes in his hand until it fell to the floor with a crash, spilling some of its contents.
Ryland could feel Billy’s triumphant glare on him, and he didn’t dare look up.
“Ryland! Are those cigarettes? Hand them over!” Mrs. Ippy was glaring down at him with her hand outstretched. Ryland shoved the cigarettes back in then grabbed the box and tentatively raised it toward her until she snatched it away. “And what were you doing with these?”
“They’re not mine! Obviously someone gave it to me as their Secret Snowsquid gift. I don’t want them!”
Mrs. Ippy just kept glaring down at him with a suspicious look on her face. Desperate, Ryland looked around and saw Billy staring directly at him with a malicious grin. And he gave Ryland a small nod, as if saying Go on. But Ryland didn’t know what that was supposed to mean, and even if he had there was no way he was letting Billy get away with this.
“Like I said, the person who brought them in the classroom was whoever got me for Secret Snowsquid! It was B—”
“Fine, then I’ll go check the lists,” Mrs. Ippy said, spinning on her heel and always making it halfway back across the classroom before Ryland could finish. Ryland looked to Ophie for comfort, but she looked just as nervous as he was.
A moment later, Mrs. Ippy was back, this time holding a clipboard. All she said was, “Ophie, I’ll be accompanying you to the principal’s office. You’re being expelled.”
Ryland was barely able to put any words together as he stared at Ophie. “No! No, it was… wait… Ophie? It wasn’t you, right?”
But Ophie was already standing. “It’s okay Ryland, don’t fight it or we’ll just both end up expelled.”
“Wait… Ophie…”
“I’m sorry, Ryland. I hope I see you again.”
But he never did.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Captain groaned and slowly pulled his hand back from his head as the memory finished playing.
Of course, that night he had remembered Ophie’s gasp and had realized that the chocolates had been for him, which of course meant that Billy had swapped out the gifts—perhaps just the tags. But Ophie had already been expelled, and who would have believed him, anyway? Ophie had been right. Mrs. Ippy had already been suspicious enough of Ryland, and Billy hadn’t left any traceable evidence. Ryland probably would have been expelled, too, if he had tried anything.
But maybe that would have been for the best.
Captain pushed themself back up into an upright position and took a deep breath.
Tsuku’s gift exchange wouldn’t be like Ryland’s. She was surrounded by good friends and responsible adults. Tsuku may have a secret just like Ryland had, but maybe Captain could muster the optimism to believe that, unlike Ryland, Tsuku would be accepted.
Captain’s hand rested on the door handle. Yes. Everything would be okay. They truly believed it.
And they pushed the door open. A few strides, and they were back in the living room. It was still chaos, but the smiles on everyone’s faces reassured them. Especially Eight’s.
They sat down next to their husband, and Tsuku ran up to them almost immediately. “Look, Fufu! Look what Koi got me!”
Tsuku was bouncing around with such excited energy that Captain couldn’t discern the object in her hands until they reached out and held the corner to steady it. It was a sketchbook, and on the cover… a silhouette of an octopus.
“Oh… that’s great, Tsuku…” Captain tried to muster enthusiasm in their response, but they just couldn’t stop staring at the octopus emblazoned on the front.
“What is it?” Tsuku finally asked.
“Tsuku… does Koi know you’re an Octoling?”
Tsuku looked at him curiously, almost confused. “Yeah, of course! All of them do. They’ve known for a while.”
Captain looked around the room at everyone, beginning to question his original impressions of each of them. “And their parents…?”
Tsuku nodded. “As far as I can tell. It’s not really a big deal.”
Captain suddenly pulled in Tsuku for a tight hug, and they were holding back tears. “I’m so glad you found them. I’m… so happy for you, Koko.”
Tsuku started pulling back after a moment, and Captain realized that they might have hugged her for too long. But she still had a big smile on her face. “I love you, Fufu. Merry Squidmas!”
“I love you too. Merry Squidmas.”
They shared one more smile.
“Now go have fun with your friends!”
Captain watched them all for a few minutes, seeing René blush as Tsuku asked whether he liked the Tableturf cards she had gotten him, seeing KJ make a remark that they all laughed at, seeing Cody wow them by doing tricks with his new yo-yo, and seeing Tsuku wrap Koi up in another hug.
“You did this, you know,” Eight said, leaning into Captain. “I mean, Tsuku deserves some credit, and I guess I was there, too. But you made all this possible.”
Eight was right, wasn’t he? Nothing could ever be perfect and easy, but Tsuku was never going to have to endure the hardships that they had.
They had broken the cycle.
“Yeah. I did it.”
Sin never tasted so...
Chapter 11 - Better than Shakespeare (Finale)
Tumblr media
A TXT Yeonjun Fanfiction from Mrs. Choi-Park
CEO/non-idol/dom/bully!Yeonjun! / Confident/sub/named/fem!Reader!
Previous Chapter:
[...] It wasn't my decision, it was that of a person who I never thought would make my life worth living so much. And I was more than ready to make a decision that had the same significance and made his life worth living so that he felt the way I felt right now.
Warnings are not needed I think😆
Please remember that I fully respect the privacy of all K-Pop Idols and that this is just a fantasy. It's not my intention to harm anyone! (I've been a MOA since March 2023)
“Okay, see you there, honey.” Yeonjun said, before I pressed the ‘call end’ symbol.
It was Tuesday now…three days since Yeonjun made his decision to leave his parents and their company. Even though I had told him again and again that his parents would definitely pull themselves together and get in touch with him, I didn't seem to be right.
On Sunday we both made the decision to tell my parents everything before it might be too late. They deserved to know the truth, even if no one could predict their reaction.
I had simply told my parents that I wanted to introduce them to a boy. No more and no less. They sounded happily surprised on their cell phones and they were looking forward to the dinner, which was about to happen. Since Yuna knew about me and Yeonjun, I begged her to busy my mind beforehand. So we went shopping in town before it turned 5 o'clock and I had to say goodbye to my bestie. Yeonjun would drive himself to my parents while I took the bus. It would have been a detour for him to get to the city first, even if he offered to pick me up.
Anyway, I was now sitting in the bus and it was just before the stop where I had to get off. Yeonjun would come later than me, which was a good thing. The quarter hour gave me the opportunity to raise some awareness within my parents.
I stared absentmindedly at the road rushing beneath the bus.
To be honest, I was so excited that I felt like I was going to take off at any moment. On the other hand, telling my parents the truth was the right decision. Even though I didn't think they would disown me like Yeonjun's parents did... I didn't want to risk it either.
I trusted my parents...that they would understand...I hoped.
The announcement of the stop at which I had to get off echoed through the almost empty bus, so I dug my nails deeper into my bag.
The tiredness from this morning was gone. I couldn't get any rest tonight and the three lectures didn't really help either...but as time progressed...my heart beat faster and faster against my chest. The bus stopped and I got up to get off, although I briefly thought about just staying seated.
Today was a surprisingly beautiful day. My birthday was approaching and I fervently hoped to be able to celebrate it with my parents.
I had to walk for about five minutes to get to my parents' house, unfortunately today it felt like an hour. It was probably because I was walking so slowly.
My heart was beating faster and faster, my stomach was twisting and my intestines didn't seem to leave me in peace either.
A little desperate, I looked at my cell phone, which showed me the time was 5:37 p.m. I had told my parents I would be there at half past five...so I was already a little late. I could imagine 50,000 other scenarios that I would prefer right now. What was I even supposed to say?!
...actually I had been racking my brain about it all day today...on two occasions I even had some pretty good ideas...but unfortunately I had forgotten them again.
I finally stopped in front of my parents' house.
My gaze wandered over the suburban home where I grew up. I used to call it home...but right now it felt like a house of horrors that I didn't want to go into.
Come on Sumi! You've waited long enough. They are your parents, they deserve the truth!
I hesitantly walked along the entrance until I finally stopped in front of the front door and hesitantly put my finger on the doorbell and finally pressed it after five seconds.
My mother literally seemed to have been waiting behind the door as quickly as she opened it.
"Ah, there you are!” She greeted me and pulled me straight into a hug.
"How are you? Everything good?" She continued to ask as she let go of me and invited me inside.
I looked at her for a moment.
"I am fine." I lied and my mother smiled widely before looking over my shoulder.
"Where did you leave your boyfriend?” She asked and I gulped as I kicked off my sneakers.
"He...he's coming soon.” I muttered as I got rid of my shoes and crawled into the slippers that were waiting for me.
Meanwhile, my mother closed the door behind me.
"I guess the gentleman is shy, huh?" I heard my father's voice, which made me look up. He was standing in the hallway and smiled warmly at me.
I took a breath...
"Seems so." I muttered.
My father laughed briefly before turning around and disappearing into the living room, where my mother followed him.
"I made delicious food!" My mother announced and I trotted into the living room after my parents.
My father was already sitting at the dining table and had opened the newspapers that he had probably read.
My mother stood behind the kitchen island and poured some water into a glass.
Oh man...they seemed really happy...and there was nothing wrong with that...but I felt like I was under electricity.
"Here. When is your darling coming?” My mother asked, handing me the glass. I wrinkled my nose and took the glass from her.
"I don't use that pet name for him." I said and my father started to laugh, which drew my mother and my attention to him.
"What do you call him?" He asked and I took a sip first. Oh man, how do I start this off gently before Yeonjun rings here in no less than ten minutes?!
"He usually calls me Honey or... little one and I...I don't know...", something popped up in my mind, that seemed like a good start, "I call him Junnie."
"Junnie? Is that a nickname?" my father asked, he still had a big smile on his lips.
"How long have you been together?" My mother asked before I took another sip, hoping it would calm me down.
"Two months." I mumbled and mom's eyes widened.
"Really?"
"Hm..."
Then there was silence in which I could swear I could hear my heartbeat.
"I can't wait to meet him." My father said and took off his glasses. I just nodded.
"He...may not be what...you imagine." I said sheepishly, even though I could barely hear myself.
"Oh, sweetie, don't be so afraid, as long as he's nice to you, we'll like him." My mother said and went to my father.
If only she didn't regret that statement.
She sat down next to my father who nodded.
"We'll be nice, you know us." he said.
Yes...I knew them...and I knew who they hated...
"Sit down first, when is your boyfriend coming?" Dad asked, pointing to a chair at the front of the table.
I took another breath before slowly starting to move.
It was a miracle that I wasn't shaking with excitement.
"Maybe in ten minutes." I said as I sat down.
"Then it's good." My father said and put his glasses back on to continue reading his magazine. Meanwhile, I turned my glass around in my hands.
Damn, Yeonjun was coming soon and I hadn't prepared my parents for what was about to happen.
"If he's nice to me...can you get along with anyone?” I asked cautiously as I lifted my gaze and looked my mother in the eyes again.
"Of course sweetie, why are you so scared?"
My mother just knew me too well. She could smell my emotional state from ten meters away, against the wind.
"Because he...he really won't be what you expect.” I said cautiously, which made my father look up from his magazine.
He raised an eyebrow: "Hopefully he's not older than me..."
I started to laugh briefly before looking back at my glass, "No...he's only four years older than me."
"Oh so much older? I thought it was someone from your university." My mother said and I looked up again.
"No...he...we know each other from somewhere else.” I said and my parents exchanged a look.
"But four years is nothing...I mean your mother and I are six years apart.” My father pointed out and I began to nod again.
I jumped when the doorbell rang.
Shit! Yeonjun not yet!
"Oh that must be him!" My mother said and jumped up from her chair. Like her, I jumped up, which attracted everyone's attention.
"I'm opening the door! Please wait here!" I almost demanded. My parents raised their eyebrows.
"Yeah...okay, we'll stay here." My father tried to calm me down. However, my brain was numb.
This wasn't the perfect time Yeonjun! If only I had walked a little faster earlier.
Without saying anything, I turned around and practically ran out of the living room. I quickly rushed to the door, glanced over my shoulder to make sure my parents weren't looking and opened the door once I was sure.
"Oh...hey." Yeonjun greeted me, seeming relieved to see me behind the door.
"Lucky you're already here, I thought I was too early.” He said, but I didn't say anything in response, just pushed him back a little and also stepped out of the door, only to pull it slightly behind me so that my parents wouldn't recognize his voice immediately.
"Everything OK?"
"You're way too early! I haven't had any time to prepare them yet!” I said frantically, but so quietly that only Yeonjun would understand me.
His big surprised eyes quickly softened as he began to smile.
"I thought you said you weren't excited." He said and put a hand on my waist. He pulled me a little closer to him and I couldn't help the pent-up feeling from running out of my lungs.
He was right, but I only said that to calm him down. He was so restless on Sunday that I had to calm him down somehow. So I just said that. And it wasn't a lie on Sunday I really wasn't afraid, but things looked completely different now.
"I'm excited as shit..." I admitted as I placed my hands against his chest. His light blue denim jacket served as support.
"Little one, we'll manage it." Yeonjun murmured before I felt his forehead fall against mine. I closed my eyes shortly afterwards.
"Remember? As long as we stay together, we'll get through it all..." He whispered and, as if by magic, my heart calmed down a little. Yeonjun was right! No matter what happened...we would stick together.
"You look amazing by the way!" Yeonjun said after leaning back. This statement brought a smile to my lips. When I looked up at him I was greeted by a warm smile that told me everything was going to be okay.
"You too." I murmured, which only made his smile grow wider.
I really loved when he styled his fluffy hair in a pony, it made his features so much kinder and sweeter.
"We're going in here together and out together, no matter what happens.” He said and I couldn't help but pull myself up on tiptoes and give him a quick kiss on the lips.
"I love you!" I whispered after I was fully back on my feet.
Yeonjun had to laugh for a moment: "Hmm...good for you!"
His statement was followed by a slap on my butt. I rolled my eyes before taking his hand in mine and taking another breath.
I could do it all with him. It was almost scary how quickly Yeonjun calmed my excitement. Of course my stomach was still churning, but I seemed to be calmer in everything.
Finally I turned around and pulled him with me.
With him on my hand, I felt prepared for whatever might come. So I opened the door without thinking about it and led Yeonjun into the house where I would never have ever expected him to be.
Yeonjun quickly took off his shoes and put on the slightly larger slippers, before we exchanged a quick look. Yeonjun pressed his lips together and nodded once, which told me it was now or never.
A little hesitantly, I turned around and led the way.
However, I positioned myself in the entrance to the living room so that Yeonjun wouldn't be visible behind me.
"You have to promise me not to freak out." I said to my parents who were sitting expectantly at the dinner table.
My father laughed: "Bring him in already!"
I took a deep breath as I looked intently at my parents. I slowly entered the room so Yeonjun could enter too. He was following me, from what I could make out by the footsteps behind me. My eyes never left my parents for a second, not even when both of their jaws dropped.
I held my breath as I saw Yeonjun bowing next to me.
"Hello...nice to see you again.” Yeonjun greeted my parents respectfully before standing upright again.
No one in the room said anything after that. I didn't even think I could hear or see my parents breathing. Only the ticking clock brought an impatient sound into the silence.
My mother was the first to close her mouth and look at me. Her face was hard to read, but I didn't have time to as my father pushed his chair back and slowly got up.
I could read his look exactly. He was angry...every muscle in his face told me that. My heart began to beat faster again.
"Dad...please don't be angry...I told you he's not what you expected." I tried to reassure my father as he rounded the table. His gaze was fixed on Yeonjun, who audibly gasped as my father approached.
Instinctively, I took a step forward and stopped my father by placing my hands on his chest. He would never harm me, but I wasn't so sure about Yeonjun...the way my father looked at him.
"Dad please. Listen to us first.” I tried to calm him down and his eyes actually found mine.
"Mike...Sumi is right, let's eat first." I heard my mother's voice. Hearing her statement gave me some strength to hold my father's gaze longer.
"Choi Yeonjun?!" my father hissed. But before I could reply, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Sir, I have no intention of insulting you. I'm not like my parents, I don't mean to harm you. All I want is a nice dinner to explain all this." I heard Yeonjun say, which gave me even more strength.
My father looked intently at Yeonjun behind me. But to my relief, every fiber of his being no longer seemed to want Yeonjun dead.
"Dinner with you?!" my father asked and suddenly I saw my mother next to him.
"Mike, sit down. Don't do anything stupid.” She said and my father seemed to calm down a little more, which calmed the racing of my heart too.
My father's gaze shifted to my mother, who pulled him back and smiled warmly at him.
When my father actually went back to his chair a little later, Yeonjun and I let out our breaths at the same time.
"Sit down, I will serve the food.” My mother said, looking back and forth between me and Yeonjun.
Unlike my father she seemed calmer and genuinely friendly. After she turned around into the kitchen, I exchanged a look with Yeonjun and raised my eyebrows briefly and shrugged.
Then I waled over and sat on the chair opposite my father, who looked at me skeptically. His eyebrows were so drawn together that you'd think he had a monobrow. Yeonjun sat down next to me shortly afterwards and my father's gaze wandered over to him, his face actually turned even darker like a cartoon character.
There was a more than awkward silence as my father leaned back and folded his hands over his ever-growing beer belly. He twiddled his thumbs more than obviously as he eyed Yeonjun. I could clearly feel his tension.
"What would you like to drink?" My mother asked, coming back to us and putting a glass in front of everyone.
She broke the awkward silence with a genuine smile on her lips.
"Beer…” My father grumbled at first and my eyes followed back to him. His gaze was still fixed on Yeonjun, as if he was silently asking him to say something next.
I started grinding my teeth. My excitement hadn't subsided in the slightest.
"I would like-"
"He's having a beer too!" My father interrupted Yeonjun. My tension grew.
“What do you want, my darling?” My mother asked and I slowly looked away from my father. Normally I would help my mother to get everything on the table, but I didn't dare leaving my father alone with Yeonjun.
"Please...something with alcohol too." I asked her and I also felt the other eyes on me.
Mom just nodded a little skeptical and turned around again.
I also turned back to my father, whose face seemed a little more relaxed.
Luckily my mother came back quickly and put the two bottles of beer on the table. She passed me a cocktail that she had probably already prepared. She had the same one.
My father grabbed his bottle pretty quickly and poured some into his beer glass, which Yeonjun did the same.
My father didn't hesitate for long and raised his glass to his lips. I was afraid he would drink it in one go as long as he sucked on the glass.
When he finally lowered it and half the glass was in his stomach, he cleared his throat.
"Two months, huh?” He began and I clutched my glass like a madwoman.
"We should have told you earlier...but it was...complicated.” Yeonjun took over the speaking, which took a huge burden off my shoulders.
"No no...you should wait two months anyway.", Dad said and then looked at me, "You should know whether it's something serious, right?"
I swallowed.
"So I think it's wonderful." My mother announced and caught everyone's attention.
Oh really?!
My mother looked around and her gaze landed on Yeonjun.
''Maybe we can finally settle the dispute like that.'' she continued and then looked at me. Her smile grew, if at all possible, even wider. All I heard from my father was an unconventional 'hm'.
''I'm not really sure about that.'’ Yeonjun said. His voice sounded defeated, which drew my eyes back to him.
Yeonjun fumbled his glass between his hands and stared briefly into the beer inside.
''My parents found out about this the wrong way…’’, Yeonjun looked up at my mother again and gave her a small smile, ''We had quite a fight.''
My mother's smile was gone when I looked back at her.
''What kind of argument?'' my father asked in between, attracting everyone's attention again.
''My father was very angry when he found out about me and Sumi.''
''Something completely new.'' my father grumbled.
''He kicked me out.'' Yeonjun said quickly before finally raising his glass and taking a sip.
My father's eyes widened and his gaze flickered to me: ''Kicked you out?''
I should finally say something.
''Do you see Dad? Yeonjun is not like what you think.''
''I decided against my family because my father wouldn't allow it.’’ Yeonjun said after lowering the glass again, which drew my father's gaze back to him. He studied Yeonjun for a while before leaning back in his chair.
You could literally hear the cogs working in his head.
''If that's not a token of love.'' my mother said quietly and I had to start smiling, but my eyes went to my lap. She was right, it really was.
''Really unbelievable, who would throw their own child out the door?'' My father asked and I looked up again.
''Oh, I have my own apartment, don't worry. I just have to look for my career somewhere else now." Yeonjun admitted and I looked at him again. We exchanged a quick look in which I tried to smile reassuringly at him before I also raised my glass to my lips.
''I...maybe I can help you there.'' my father said and Yeonjun's eyes widened.
''Excuse me?'' he asked my father as my eyes also went to my father.
''Two birds with one stone. I help my daughter's boyfriend to his feet and thus wipe out my competitor. Old Choi probably won't be happy to hear that his son is working for us.''
There was a moment of silence. Did my father just offer Yeonjun a job?! Was I dreaming?
''Of course only if you accept the offer.'' my father said and raised his eyebrows. I looked at Yeonjun, who was obviously completely perplexed...just like me.
''Wha-what kind of job?'' he asked and my father laughed.
''Well all the major management positions have been filled, but we still need readers. I'm sure you recognize good books when you read them, am I right?", My father said, raising his hand as he said, ''Starting salary 3.700.500 won per month without deductions.''
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Yeonjun's jaw drop.
I stared at my father like a dumb bird as well.
''OK 3.800.500 won, I can't get you more than that. Probably still a lot less than you earned from your parents.''
''Oh no, no! I-wow that's a really...thank you.'' Yeonjun stuttered.
My father started to smile as he looked at me.
''You don't have to be afraid that I'll kick you out because of this, mouse, hopefully you know that. As long as you're happy, I'm happy too," he said, leaning forward a little.
I nodded immediately, only then could I start to smile.
''Good!'' my father said a little louder and raised his glass, ''Then on a successful future!''
The rest of the evening was surprisingly friendly and open-minded. My parents, especially my father, seemed to accept Yeonjun more and more every minute and I was honestly happy that my parents took it so well. I have to admit once I got here, there was really a part of me that was afraid my parents would react the same way Yeonjun's did.
But with my parents like this I could look calmly into the future and the same goes for Yeonjun, who introduced my parents to Hueningkai and his Manhwa on the first day in the company. Hueningkai had already canceled the contract with the Choi's one day after the argument between Yeonjun and his parents. He said he wanted to publish it together with Yeonjun and not otherwise. So Yeonjun brought a great success to our company, which only made my father like him even more.
Every day felt like a fairytale after that drama with Yeonjun's parents. And even though I thought my life felt like Romeo and Juliet at one point...it was ultimately much better than Shakespeare's drama.
Two months later
It was Sunday and I was sitting at the breakfast table with Yeonjun in his apartment. As almost always, I had only woken up ten minutes ago and Yeonjun had already prepared breakfast. He was typing away on his phone as I drank my orange juice.
''Huening just can't stop thanking me.’’ Yeonjun finally broke the silence and I laughed when he looked at me.
''We should actually thank him.'' I retorted as I lowered my glass again.
Yeonjun nodded with a smile and looked back at the screen after it vibrated again.
''We can invite him to dinner sometime.'' I suggested and looked at Yeonjun again. He stared frozen at his display.
''Are you okay?'' I asked and Yeonjun looked at me without moving a muscle in his face. I raised an eyebrow, when he turned his phone towards me my eyes widened too.
The chat he showed me was between his mother and him.
I recognized a message, the first in two months:
Yeonjun, your father would never admit it, but he misses you and he's sorry. I finally convinced him to talk to you again. I'm also so sorry that I didn't get in touch sooner, but I was honestly embarrassed to write to you, after what your father did. We would both be happy to invite you to dinner on your next day off, preferably with Jung Sumi.
Love Mom.
The Story ends here. Thanks to all the readers. I hope to see you all soon☺️🙏🫰
[……Eternal Love]
Hello everyone. I'm Nolan Chance
Oh, this is my flashback. Don't forget. Today, August 25th, is apparently my birthday...
Today's protagonist seems to have forgotten his birthday. I know it's not good to say this, but I don't think it's good to forget, haha...
Now, let's put the flashback aside and get into the main story.
"…Work, work."
I took my notebook off the shelf and checked today's mission, but there was nothing written. I was about to leave the study, thinking that someone had forgotten again, when I heard a knock on the door.
"Nolan, can I say something?"
"Antonia! Who's on duty today? It's not written in the notebook again. How many times has this happened...?"
"……You really forgot."
Antonia in front of me sighed at Nolan, who had forgotten what today was.
"You forgot? What? Hey, Antonia! Don't pull my clothes!"
"See for yourself."
She silently pulled my clothes, so I almost tripped, but I kept my balance and came to the door of the room where we always meet. Antonia said to see for myself, so I reluctantly followed her and opened the door in front of me.
"Happy Birthday!!!"
The moment I opened the door, I was surprised by everyone's high-pitched cheers. I looked around in surprise at the unfamiliar sound of loud crackers and the flying confetti.
"...Huh??"
[Do you remember what today is? Nolan, it's your birthday]
"My birthday... Oh, that's right. August 25th... I completely forgot, hahaha."
(Leader, don't forget your birthday!!
May was really looking forward to celebrating your birthday!!)
{May is a kid who loves her leader
Anyway, happy birthday, Nolan. Oh, do you want to go get pizza?}
(Piper???)
{Because it's true, right?}
[Stop it! It's shameful to fight at such an important time.]
I thought May and Piper would start arguing like usual, but Antonia scolded and calmed them down, so I gave a bitter smile.
"Hahaha..."
"I'm glad we celebrated your birthday, though, brother! Happy birthday again!!"
A man with a sturdy build appeared in front of me. I looked up a bit and saw that it was Fish Chic.
"Oh, Chic. I forgot about my birthday too. Thank you."
〘Wow, I didn't know it was Nolan's birthday today. But happy birthday〙
"Oh, it's okay. I forgot my birthday too. Don't worry about it. But thanks for celebrating."
"By the way...Kado? Why did you come...?"
I was having a trivial conversation while receiving congratulations from my friends, but I saw a stranger in the corner of my eye and turned in that direction.
"...I can't help it, I can't help it. I only came because that woman told me to. Why would I celebrate my enemy's birthday...?"
I smiled bitterly at the person who was congratulating me in a small voice while talking to himself, thinking that there was still a little humanity left in him. I couldn't help but smile when I saw the food that Antonia and the others must have worked hard to make lined up on the table. As we all ate and drank happily, time passed without me noticing. It was past 10:30 at night, and I suddenly looked towards the window and sighed.
"Nolan, come here for a second."
Suddenly, Antonia called out to me, so I looked up and realized that she was beckoning me.
"What's wrong? Is there a problem?"
[This is a letter entrusted to me by the person you were waiting for.]
I received a small letter from Antonia and noticed that it had a familiar diamond engraved on it.
"...This..."
[Now, hurry up. The date will soon change. Leave through the back door.]
I was almost stunned by the letter, but Antonia's words stopped me and told me to leave the place immediately, so I gave a wry smile and went out through the back door.
If you leave through the back door, it will take about 30 seconds to arrive. When I arrive at the small villa behind the house, I stand in front of the door, take a deep breath, put my hand on the doorknob, and start walking inside. It's not dark, but I notice that the lights are a little brighter, so I look around for the person I'm looking for.
"... Nolan..."
"... Ah! What a surprise..."
Suddenly, I'm hugged from behind and a familiar voice calls my name, so I'm surprised because it was sudden, but when I see a familiar expression through the light,
"... Montague!"
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to scare you."
I seem to be a little regretful that I surprised the other person with my actions, but when the other person puts his hand on my cheek, I can't help but smile and put my hand on his.
"It's okay, but... I thought you wouldn't come."
"It's important, so of course I'll come. Nolan, you're my important lover."
I wasn't used to him looking me in the eye and casually saying cool things, so I instinctively looked away.
"Nolan..."
"...//"
When he lifted my chin lightly, his soft lips touched mine.
"Get used to it, Nolan...lol"
"You're getting too used to Montague..."
Everything he does is perfect and cool, but I'm still not used to the fact that everything he does is sneaky, and every time he does it, I feel embarrassed, and I try to hide that embarrassment. I hugged him tightly.
"That's right...Nolan. I'll say it again. Happy birthday. I'm so happy to be able to celebrate such an important day.
And meeting Nolan and becoming your lover is very important to me. And...eternity may not exist, but it does exist for us.
So, thank you so much for meeting me. Let's continue to celebrate this important day."
"Montague...hehe, it's really embarrassing to hear that again..."
But thank you. Of course, please continue to celebrate my birthday from now on. Hehe..."
"...I love you forever, Nolan."
And on Nolan's hand is a beautifully sparkling diamond ring.
The meaning of the pink diamond is "perfect love" and "eternal bond."
Diamond Chance's future may be eternal...
I love reading your one shots♥️ If you’re still taking requests, would you consider writing an Eddie x Fem reader where reading is upset because no one ever remembers or celebrates her birthday, but Eddie surprises her in some way to make her feel special?
I’m sorry if that’s vague. Today is my birthday and I’m spending it alone so I kinda need the comfort.😭
Well happy (late) birthday!!!
I'm definitely in the mood for a good ending :)
This will be a small blurb
Master-list
Tumblr media
Y/N grew up seeing her birthday as any other day. Her family never made it special and her friends never celebrated it with her. She liked to ignore the idea of her birthday, it was easier to act as she didn't care when people would forget.
So when her and Eddie first got together, she never brought up her birthday- she couldn't handle the disappointment. But when it came to Eddie's birthday - she went all out.
She adored Eddie and wanted to show that.
~~
Eddie's birthday passed and realized they have been together for almost a year, and she has never brought up her birthday.
Eddie questioned her on it but she brushed it off. "my birthday isn't important."
But Eddie was having none of that. He asked around everywhere for the date and once he got it- he started planning.
~~
Once November hit- he got his plan in motion. He called the fanciest restaurant in town and made the reservation.
He bought everything you need to make a cake and kept it ready in his cabinet.
He went to every jewelry store to buy her the best thing he could afford.
Because she deserved to feel just as special as she made him.
~~
When Y/N woke up on her birthday, she didn't expect anything for the day.
She planned to watch her favorite movies, eat her favorite snacks and cuddle up in bed all day.
But when there was pounding at her door, non stop, she groaned and got out of bed.
She opened her front door to see her boyfriend standing there with a huge smile on his face.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
She felt herself smile at her boyfriend's excitement.
"hi baby." She said as she kissed his lips.
Eddie kissed her fast and basically shoved her aside as he ran into the house.
"Okay go get changed. I have lots of stuff for us to go through today so chop chop." He instructed her as he started to push her back, forcing her legs to move forward.
She couldn't keep the smile off of her face. Maybe this birthday wouldn't be like the rest.
~~
"no. Try another one."
"Eddie I have tried on every single dress in this closet." She whined, throwing her head back in protest.
She has been trying on dress after dress, in Eddie's words "she had to wear her best dress." And no she doesn't think she even owns one.
"are you sure there isn't one left?" She looked at her boyfriend closely. He was sitting on her bed, bouncing like a child. She could tell he was biting back a huge smile. His hair bouncing with his body as his legs shake in anticipation.
"no Eddie, I know how many dresses I have and they are all on the floor."
"just look again." Her boyfriend instructed. Eyes huge as he watched her every move.
She gave him a confused glare but turned back to her closet. Seeing absolutely no dress left hanging.
"See Eddie I told you there isn-" her words died on her tongue.
There her boyfriend stood, the same smile painted on his face that never left, holding a dark red dress.
"My bad. I guess I forgot to put the dress in the closet." He joked as he handed the dress over to her.
"Eds this is beautiful." She was truly in awe. The dress was long with a slit. Sparkles that stood out but not too flashy.
"I think it'll look beautiful once you are in it. So get dressed. We have dinner to make it to."
~~
Y/N was speechless over how beautiful the restaurant was. Eddie was dressed in a suit, looking good enough to eat. They sat next to the windows, showing an overview of the city. A bright chandelier above their heads and candles decorated on their table.
Y/N figured the night was coming to its end. They had a beautiful dinner and she was gifted an outstanding dress.
But Eddie had one more surprise for her, one more thing to end their night.
"Eddie where are we going? I feel like we've been driving for hours."
"Just one last spot on your birthday day." He smiled, kissing her hand as it rested on his knee.
~~
"Just a few more steps." Eddie said as he walked his blindfolded girlfriend through the woods. Maybe not his best idea but the surprise will be worth it.
Eddie took off the blindfold.
"Tada!" Eddie cheered as he stood in the middle of his surprise. Candles littered the ground around a blanket, fairy lights hung from the nearby trees, and a bottle of champagne sitting in a bucket of ice.
She couldn't stop the tears falling from her eyes.
"Eddie you didn't have to do all of this." She cried out, now hiding her face in her hands, overwhelmed by emotions.
"yes I did. You are the first one to plan everyone's birthday. It's time someone does that for you."
And now she truly loved her birthday.
This is a long post but I NEED TO WRITE ABOUT THIS.
Pls reblog with your opinion 🙏
Okay so in The Big Bang Theory obviously we all know that Sheldon is scared of a lot of things. And I know his friends could be supportive but it was hard because they put up with so much of his crap, but I feel like they didn't try to understand him enough. Maybe I'm only seeing it like this because I too struggle with a lot of the things he does- not understanding sarcasm, being scared of things, having panic attacks in normal situations- but I feel like no one understood him. Maybe if they did then he would've been able to understand society more and not "be more normal" but be more comfortable in certain situations. Right now I'm watching the episode where they celebrate his birthday for the first time and I just I feel for this man so hard.
He spent his childhood with unhappy birthdays, a sister who tortured him, a brother who made fun of him, a mum who coddled him and a dad who did his best but just couldn't understand him. This man spent his whole life with people who tried to force him into social norms and shunned him when he couldn't.
Which is why I LOVE his and Penny's relationship specifically in this episode. Actually just in the show in general. They were in two different worlds their whole life, and yet she understood him the most. She comforts him and sits with him in silence when he has a panic attack at his own birthday party. She admits her guilt that she spent her teenage years being the embodiment of the people who made his life hell.
I mean when you think about everything that he went through you feel a lot more sad and sympathetic towards him instead of the usual "Oh he's so silly lmao haha". He witnessed his father cheat on his mother and kept quiet even though he hates keeping secrets. He let's his friends throw him a birthday party even though he hates parties. He was treated like a child even though he was smarter than his classmates. He wasn't invited anywhere because people didn't like him. He was convinced he'd spend his life alone because he invited his WHOLE SCHOOL to his house, willing to host every single one of them to listen to the Nobel prizes and no one showed up. Just when he was about to propose to Amy she broke his heart.
This is a TRAUMATISED MAN. SHOW SOME RESPECT.
That's why I notice when he does so many wonderful things.
He makes tea for his friends because its the only way he knows how to comfort. He drove Penny to the hospital when she was injured even though he was neither comfortable nor qualified to drive. He hugs Penny even though he hates physical contact. He gave up hobbies so he could have Leonard as his roommate. Not to mention the fact that he emails everyone his bathroom schedule so they can plan when they'll be in there without disturbance.
He's precious. Protect him at all costs. Yes he's selfish and arrogant but when you think about his childhood, you remember that no one tried to TEACH him about social cues or regular behaviour.
Ok that's the end of my shitpost.
“Birthday Bash” - Ricky Olson
summary: Y/N throws a birthday party for her best friend Chris and meets Ricky
"hey Vinny is everything going according to our plan?" i asked into the phone and heard his all too famous giggle "of course Y/N don't worry too much. you can trust me!" he told me not easing up my worried feelings. if he says you should trust him, please do the exact opposite! today needs to be the best birthday party ever because i can finally celebrate with Chris. long story short i only knew Vinny and Chris, because i went to school with Chris and i know Vinny because i randomly met the two together in a fucking diner. i'm so nervous because i finally get the chance to meet everyone else in person, like the whole band motionless in white and i'm literally so scared that no one else would truly like me. "alright Vinny but keep it a secret, please.." i pleaded with my older friend and i heard him say "Y/N don't worry now, everything will be fine and i'll promise to keep it a secret for you!” i just got done decorating my whole house, here we'll celebrate his birthday and i hope everything will look fucking spooky and that my friend will like it. i've never done anything like that so it's the first time planning an entire birthday bash on my own, even if it's not that big of a deal. the most beautiful thing inside the house are those led pumpkins, in my opinion they look lovely so i took a picture of it to remember them and maybe post them later on my blog. it's now 5 pm and almost time for me to get ready so i decided to head upstairs to take a quick shower. Vinny texted me saying everyone else will be here before Chris and Vinny so that it would look like only they would do something together. i liked the idea so i agreed to it. once i was done with my make up and styling my hair i finally got dressed and looked at the time "oh my god they're going to be here by any minute now" i thought just when my doorbell rang. once i let everyone in they introduced themselves friendly and we started talking with each other waiting for Chris to finally arrive. this ricky guy acted a bit rude but it was fine, i can understand that he’s not comfortable so he won't be super friendly. that’s okay with me, not everyone is fine with new people! when chris finally arrived we congratulated him and he got his birthday gifts, i gave him my favorite parfume since he said that he loved the smell of it. "thank you for doing all of this for me bat" he told me while pulling me into a tight hug, it was just after dinner and we were standing in my quiet backyard. "Chris can i ask you something? i don't want to sound rude or anything, please don’t take it the wrong way.." i quietly asked my friend who just nodded his head signaling me to continue "well there was one member kind of acting rude and i wanted to know if he doesn't like me or if he's always like that with new people?" i asked him sitting down on a chair by the pool "do you mean ricky?" he asked which earned him a quick nod "he's always like that don't worry about it, it's not your fault" he told me
later on we were all dancing with each other and having fun, we also drank a bit but i don’t drink alcohol, which means chris and i are the only sober people right now. just when my favorite song started to play someone pulled me to the edge of the dance floor, it was ricky. "huh? what's wrong?" i asked him, confused "i wanted to apologize for acting rude towards you earlier. i'm just not really social so i don't know how to properly act. again i'm sorry for making you feel uncomfortable i didn't mean to" he told me, apologizing for his behavior. i do understand where he came from since i was like that two years ago too so i accepted his apology, he then smiled down at me. his smile is even cuter than chris's and that's weird since he doesn't look like the cute guy at all. "your smile's cute rick, you should smile more often" i blurted, clearly i didn’t think before speaking "thank you.." he quietly replied and i could even see him blush a bit "your eyes look awesome though" he said quickly after that and awkwardly shifted around in front of me which was even more cute. "thanks ricky.." now it was my turn to blush like hell, when he saw my embarrassment he chuckled and pulled me into a short hug before going back to justin leaving me alone to think about him. he was something special, that's for sure. i didn't even notice that i smiled like a crazy high school girl, when ryan pointed it out "who got you smiling like that? our friend ricky perhaps?" he smirked down at me earning a small hit on his arm, since i was so fucking embarrassed "don't tease me, it's already strange enough.." i told my friend and he nodded turning serious "if you like him or want to get to know him, do that because he's an amazing person. although please don't hurt him, he got hurt enough already" ryan said before leaving
okay so...I've got more headcanons for Rumiko! I would die on this hill for Rumiko Shimada cause I love her so much TvT (Also curse the devs for only giving us her names...I hope she's mentioned at least in a few interactions but for now this is just what I think of her going off by her name and everything TvT
Rumiko Shimada
Okay so first thing first my little fav headcanon, she's basically Chilli Heeler from Bluey but since I've looked back on a few Bluey clips I'm also going to give Rumiko some Calypso vibes as well.
Rumiko was close to both her sons which the Elders didn't like since she was a distraction for them. (this is an shimada elders hate house hold we hate them!)
When Rumiko left she didn't have a choice and only did it out of love assuming it would protect her children and her husband.
When Sojiro asked her to marry him she refused on the spot, but gave him a chance to fall in love with him when he had to take her out on a date but she picks the date.(The dates where walks)
The reason why she married Sojiro is because she wanted to know the REAL him, not some Yakuza crime lord. Thus she married him, after the last date cause she saw his real side.
Rumiko never liked the elders in returned.
Rumiko knows who Kiriko is and adored her the first time they met.
Her name means beautiful lapis lazuli, so Sojiro always calls her his precious gem (also if you want to know the origin name of what Rumiko is here's the link)
Rumiko loved writing and carving, so when Hanzo wanted to learn she taught him how to carve and write poetry whenever he feels down.
She knows how to play the shamisen in her free time.
Rumiko knows who Kiriko is and adored her the first time they met.
Rumiko loved writing and carving, so when Hanzo wanted to learn she taught him how to carve and write poetry whenever he feels down.
She knows how to play the shamisen in her free time.
Tried to teach both Hanzo and Genji how to be independent, only to be shamed/scolded by the elders ( this is an elders hater house hold)
She isn't a combat skilled in battle, but if her life is threatened she knows how to wield a kitchen knife and she skilled with that.
Even though she calm her patience tends to run a bit thin when things are done, like simple tasks she gives to her sons.
Would always get into verbal arguments with the elders when it came to Hanzo and Genji.
Would always know whenever Hanzo,Genji, and maybe Kiriko would sneek up on her. Since she's gotten used to living with ninjas on a daily bases so nothing can surprise her.
Has taught both Hanzo and Genji values and life lessons on importance on how people see/portray them.
Rumiko is a Pisces, her birthday is March 17 ( I was stuck between Cancer, Libra and Virgo so I had to go with a Pisces. Also that's not her actual birthday I have no idea when her birthday is so...Yeah again this is a headcanon!!)
Tried to teach Hanzo and Genji how to cook but it ended in disaster.
Adored spending time with Asa and Toshiro.
Always allowed her sons to be vulnerable around her to let their emotions out.
Loved spending time with her family.
Always enjoyed celebrating her sons birthday, making sure that they have the best birthdays.
She loves going on long walks alone since she finds peace in it, but would sometimes invite either Sojiro,Hanzo or Genji/maybe all 3 to join her.
Has carved little charms for Kiriko and her family.
Wished she tired harder to let her sons bond more but the elders always found away to not let that happen.
Knows when she messes up she always apologises to her sons.
Told her sons and Sojiro she would die for them and that she means it.
Always gives out advice to Hanzo whenever he was stressed out with clan duties and that she would always be there for him. (Which of course that didn't happened... since I blame the elders!!)
Anyways that's about it with the headcanons that I've got, so far this is what I've think and based of a few things that my mom does too because I love my mom. Also a little bit of my 2 cents, I do believe that the elders really did make Rumiko leave the clan because they threatened her by using her love against her so she did what she had to do...Which is why the Shimada Elders are the real villains of the story!!
TW: mentions of Death, PTSD, Panick attacks, Abuse
Summary: Honami with an S/O that suffers from PTSD due to seeing their mother die
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⋆ When you were a kid your dad was extremely abusive towards you and your mother
⋆ you didn't like how he treated her at all , he would always hit your mom if she did one simple mistake and he would do the same thing to you if you did a mistake yourself
⋆ One day you were helping you were helping your mother in the kitchen to help her make you a cake since it was your birthday , one of the only days in the year you truly feel happy but your father had other plans for that day
⋆ After you and your mother finished celebrating your birthday in which you turned 5 years your father entered through the door and saw that none of you waited for him
⋆ When your mother saw the look in his face she told you to run quick and hide , she would distract him
⋆ luckily for you , your father didn't see where you were hidden , but before you noticed it he walked in to the kitchen dragging your mother by the arm
⋆ He had a strong grip on her you could tell , she was trying to get out but nothing worked
⋆ With that he took a knife from the drawers and stabbed her multiple times
⋆ After your mom stopped moving your dad left the house thinking you ran away and when he close the door you went out the closest
⋆ You were shaking and crying so much
⋆ You didn't know what to do , you were so scared what if he were to find you again what if he kill's you too
⋆ That same night the neighbors called the police for a noise complaints 🙄 which lead to the police finding you laying crying close to your mother's dead body
⋆ After that you stayed with your aunt and fortunately your father was putted in prison
⋆ But things weren't the same after that you were different
⋆ When you turned six your aunt said there was a few children that always played in the park close to the house so if anything went wrong you could come back
⋆ and you actually went , and this was were U met your childhood best friends Saki , Ichika , Shiho and Honami
⋆ Ever since that day you felt happier than you have ever been you felt happy to spend time with them
⋆ That was until Saki was sent to the hospital in middle school and had to stay during Junior high as well
⋆ All of you got separated well except you and Honami your mental health still got worse tho since some kids found out about what your dad did and because of that they thought you were gonna become just like your dad
⋆ Middle School was hell being constantly reminded about what happened that day over and over again just because some stupid classmate found out about it
⋆ You were on the verge of tears on your way to class until you heard a soft voice behind you catching your attention
S/O are you ok ? your breathing very fast is something wrong?
Oh Honami .... It's fine don't worry we should be heading to class anyway
⋆ It was your childhood friend and now girlfriend Honami
⋆ She confessed to you not to long ago actually she even gave you homemade apple pie she made herself to you
⋆ She knew about your past and how you had PTSD because of this she always made sure to comfort you
⋆She was always by your side when you had trouble sleeping , her hugs were always so soft not even your nightmares were able to fight against that
⋆ Apple pies became your comfort food , especially when your birthday came around instead of cake she would make you an apple pie since it helped you get your mind of it
⋆ She always did everything she could to make sure you didn't think about it
⋆ When Saki finally got back from the Hospital during High School They all fixed their friendship bods specially you , you were all so happy that you were all back together
⋆ A few days later they started noticing your behaviour change to what it seemed to be scared ? , but they didn't pay much mind to it since you've always been like this specially on your birthday .... How odd
⋆ After School Honami got asked by Saki
Why does (name) always seems so scared during the day's close to their birthday?
Oh about that...
I think it's better if you asked them yourselves since it's a very sensitive topic and I don't know if they are ready to talk about it
⋆ Now if they ask and you decide to tell them yourself , Honami will be beside you rubbing your back to comfort you , if you stop mid sentence she'll ask if you want her to finish it for you and she will tell that you were very brave for telling it to them
⋆ Now if you tell Honami to tell them she'll be very careful while telling them and also give them advice so they don't overwhelm you
⋆ Over all Honami would take very good care of you , she is an amazing girlfriend to have and she loves you no matter what all she would like in return was your affection and maybe a few apple pie pieces from her favourite bakery
We only have a few days left until Nawruz, the start of the new year. Liz's birthday was a few days ago, and we had a small private celebration with Sherry and her niece Niosha. I gave Liz a pencil case, Ari got her a plush heart with a cat face, Mom brought the cake, Dad gave her a cute phone book, and Elnaz gifted her a beautiful purse. Personally, I really liked the purse the most.
Today is Charshanbeh Soori, a special day where people traditionally make a fire and jump over it for good luck. And we were going to do that on the roof top but it started raining. Instead, we decided to participate in the other part of the tradition called "ghashogh zani." We put on chadors (head to tow cover) to hide our identities and went door-to-door, knocking and asking for treats. It was a bit scary because everything has changed so much lately, and no one really knows what's okay anymore. We're not allowed to play music, watch movies, or even see commercials on TV. It's like everything we used to do is forbidden. And even though most people seem friendly, we don't know if someone might be spying on us or if our actions are acceptable.
Despite the uncertainty, Behnaz, Sherry and I decided to go ahead with ghashogh zani. The night is dark, and the streets are empty. In the past, there would be so many people outside doing this, but not anymore. We went to our own house first and knocked. Dad came to the door and gave me some money for my bowl. Then we went to Sherry's house. Her older sister, Shohreh, answered the door. Sherry has three older sisters, and they're all married except for Shohreh. She's really beautiful and funny. Shohreh put some mixed nuts in our bowls and warned us not to eat too much or we might get a bellyache.
After that, we decided to go to Hengameh's house. She's Sherry's cousin. I don't know why, but I felt scared to go there. It was only a few blocks away, but I was still scared. We knocked on the door of the apartment building where she lived, and two men came to answer. But as soon as they saw us, they yelled at us, saying mean things and telling us we were ridiculous and to get lost. It was really scary and hurtful. It ruined the joy of the whole night, and I went to bed feeling sad and couldn't shake off that feeling.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you something. A few days ago, when I came home from school, my aunt rushed to the door with exciting news. She said that while Elnaz was in the kitchen, the ceiling suddenly collapsed, but she managed to jump back and avoid getting hurt. I went to see it, and the whole ceiling was gone debris everywhere. We're so lucky that nothing happened to her.
Today, Elnaz, Ari, Liz, Mom, and I finally had the chance to take a shower after a couple of weeks. We can't take too many showers and we all go together at the same time to save on the water bill. But when we turned on the water, it was freezing cold, and it was awful. We shivered the whole time, and it was not a pleasant experience.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day, whether you were celebrating someone or being celebrated yourself. Mine was a quiet day, which is exactly what I wanted. I was content with just being with my child and doing what ever which included video games, napping and some tv. We made breakfast and dinner for my family but other than that, it was nice.
There were a few frustrating things before though but that has since cleared itself up. My BIL can be very very toxic. He had been pushing to celebrate all mother's in the family (Don't get me wrong, it was a kind gesture) however, because we have a community garage sale the following weekend, we have had to use our weekends to prepare, which included Mother's Day weekend. Now my BIL asked everyone the Friday before so we already had plans set. Well, that didn't work with him so he decided to not respect my family's wishes and show up with burgers. All of us women then gave our gifts to each other. It wasn't super upsetting but at the same time, NONE of us was able to get anything that we wanted done. That was frustrating. I always tell myself "you can control people" because you can't but I know I can control myself, the way I behave , my reactions. I have been working hard on myself but I definitely still have slip ups.
Recently today, I had been working but also watching my nephews as well as my child all day. It wasn't anything bad, I love all of them with all my heart, but it is exhausting. Juggling so much while still trying to promote at work. Anyways, my child had Martial arts class and I'm thinking because of the day, my social meter was already drained. During class, I started having an anxiety attack and just became overwhelmed with all the noise and I nearly broke down crying. I had to walk out and I did. I just walked out of the building so I could breathe. After some time, I was able to come back and bring myself back. I don't know if it's because of everything going on this month? We have several birthdays, Mother's Day, the garage sale and even a new baby on the way so a baby shower (not for me) but it's so much going on and I am a huge introvert that I feel like it's already too much. These parties are also happening at the family house, which is where I live, with family. I just want to leave. I feel like I can't do anything I want to do but I may have to really lay some boundaries and just do what I can. It sounds selfish and maybe it is, but I have to do whatever is best for me, no one else will.
I started doing breathing/meditation exercises. It's not often but I think I need to do them daily, even if it is only 10 min. I feel like I'm losing my peace and I need to bring it back. My child has been so understanding but I hate that she sees me suffer. I had wanted to take her for ice cream since she did so well in class but funds are tight this month, with everything going on and so I told her I would make a nutella shake at home for her. Well I messed that up and put too much milk, but she still loved it. She said it was one of the best shakes she's had. How did I get so lucky with her. With her, I think everything will be okay.
