Just Dance Care AU!
Ok ok so I thought of a story for this Au but it’s nothing really impactful or full of drama and angst like my other au’s, I wanted to leave this au easy and fun to play around, because, let’s say it. Just Dance and drama in the same sentence makes me laugh.

story and PNG version under the cut!
(I gave up on Y/n design because I couldn't figure out a general look for them. This is you we are talking about! Draw your own JD fit, I'll draw mine soon XD)
Anyway here’s the story so far:
Year 2029, videogames industry made a huge step forward and classic consoles and devices were substituted by the new and upgraded VR headsets with full body tracking. It’s something like the NerveGear in Sword Art Online without the kill switch. Some games still require you to actually move your body (like fitness games or sports because yeah, they don’t have a purpose otherwise).
Y/n wanted to buy the newest VR headset but, while searching for the best offer, they found out FazCo entertainment was hosting a giveaway, the prize? One of their prototypes, a VR meant to be released the next year coinciding with the opening of their first mega pizza plex.
(so the plex doesn’t exist right now). You decide to sign up for the giveaway and after a while you receive an email telling you you won the VR headset and that, to claim it, you need to read and sign a series of NDA policies (understandable, it’s a prototype headset that’s not even in commerce). Some clauses are a little bit concerning but nothing you hadn’t read on other electronics booklets, so you decide to sign. After, like, a day, you have the VR in your hands.
The box let you know with super saturated and colorful writing, that the VR came with a game pre-installed inside. Uh, that’s why they were giving one away, they wanted a free game tester…but you know what, it’s worth it.
You always liked Just Dance games, they make you think about happy memories of your childhood. This pre-installed game called “Five Dances at Freddy’s” is a close copy of your childhood game with original FazCo songs, characters, environments and also some collaborations with other famous artists. It probably will be the cause of a big copyright infringement report.
There are various ways to play it: story mode, Casual dance, Five Dances, and Just Dance Care.
The first one is similar to the casual dance mode but with little cutscenes between a dance and another to tell a tale, Casual dance is how you can play the collab songs, Five Dances is the multiplayer mode and Just Dance Care is a more uhhhh “hard” way to play the game with all the other modes mixed in it. You stare at the description of the last mode smirking and decide to try it first just to see how far you can get before losing (yes you can lose in hard mode in this Just Dance, but you don’t die, you just have to restart from the beginning). Turns out the FazCo wasn’t kidding when they advertised the new headset as a breakthrough in the world of virtual reality headsets, the thing TRANSPORTED you inside the game itself.
You almost have a heart attack when you can’t find your VR on your head, but before you can try something you are blocked by two tall individuals who you think are the “tutorial” characters.
Yadda yadda, tutorial, you can pause the game and exit whenever you need just by opening an hidden menu, you find out your tutorial characters are called Sun and Moon and that you are way worse than you remembered at dancing (damn full body tracking, there is no way you are going to do a cartwheel in the middle of a dance, you still don’t know if your body is inside your home and if you’ll physically feel pain if you fall and you don’t want to find out).
You pass an embarrassingly long time trying to win your first dance battle just to discover it was still the tutorial.
You try to go on with the story but you fail at the first real battle with a bear character named Freddy.
And guess what? You have to start again from the tutorial! Y/n is gonna spend A LOT of time with Sun and Moon if this goes on.

Your Career/Reputation/Legacy Indicators according to astrology pt.2
This time I'll go over the 10th house. If you would like to see part 1 [the second house] go here:
Tutorial
~ First find the sign your 10th house is in by pulling up your birth chart

As you can see their 10th House is in Scorpio [I circled it + pointed to the line that indicates what sign it's in]. If you don't feel like pulling up your birth chart right now, you can just think of the 9th sign after your rising sign. For example, a Sagittarius rising has their 10th house in Virgo [the ninth sign after Sagittarius], while an Aries rising has their 10th house in Capricorn.
~ Next, look at the ruler of that sign. This is the ruler of your second house. I've written them down below
Aries: Mars
Taurus: Venus
Gemini: Mercury
Cancer: Moon
Leo: Sun
Virgo: Mercury
Libra: Venus
Scorpio: Mars and Pluto
Sagittarius: Jupiter
Capricorn: Saturn
Aquarius: Uranus and Saturn
Pisces: Neptune and Jupiter
~ Lastly, find what sign your ruler/rulers are in. My interpretations are down below.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10th House Ruler in The....
1st House:
Your professional success is fully related to your personal expression, your confidence and your initiative. Your physical body and appearance will affect/have something to do with your job [you may be a dancer for example]. Your personality, view on life, body and physical appearance will also have a big impact on your status as well. Whatever you achieve in life, you will have to do it on your own and this contributes to your legacy, reputation, and pride. Try to avoid the tendency to become egocentric as again, your personality and view on life WILL affect your status, career and legacy. You may do best when self-employed. You tend to dress in accordance with your career; essentially, your career immensely affects your life, your career goals even affect your approach to life. You have an inert desire for recognition and respect and care about how you present yourself to the world. Overall, any career would suit you, but keep in mind that your career will affect you as a whole [more than most people], and your appearance/physicality may have something to do with your career.
2nd House:
Your professional success will be reflected in your income. Most likely you will make money through any profession/the profession you choose. Your resources and values play an important role in your future success. You may have a career involving finances. You require a career that fits your values and that provides you with financial security. Your self-esteem increases when you gain authority [gaining authority also tend to increase your net worth]. Your attitude/relationships with authority figures impacts your money-making ability. Your legacy will most likely be related to how much money you've made in this lifetime.
3rd House:
Your career is related to some form of self-expression. You feel a need to communicate and to express your own ideas through the profession you choose. Your career may need a lot of short-term traveling. The need to be seen as an authority influences the way you communicate. Your profession is always on your mind. Your career may involve, blogging, transportation, making connections locally, helping the community, writing, conferencing [online correspondences], language. You may also work as an early schoolteacher or guidance counselor. Your voice holds authority. Your legacy may be the way you communicate, and you pass on your professional experience through teaching and writing.
4th House:
Your profession is related to your home, and because of this, you may work out of your home or with one of your parents, possibly continuing a family business. This astrological influence also could lead you to try fields having to do with soil, property, land or those that have to do with your place of birth. The recognition you receive from the outside world affects your emotional security. Your social status impacts your family or your family's social status may impact your career. You bring an authoritative attitude to your home life. You set the rules at home. You may find a way to live out your true vocation from the comfort of your own home [virtual working]. Your reputation affects how your family sees you. You build a reputation for yourself as a family man/woman. You build a reputation for yourself as a nurturer or caretaker. You use your status to help your country. You may even gain recognition + authority for serving your country [military]. You become an authority on your personal heritage and culture. You become an authority on your family tree. You become an authority on your cultural roots. Your legacy could be related to your familial heritage, how you treat your family and your authority in your home/country.
5th House:
Your professional success is related to your creativity. No matter what profession you choose, you always show your originality and desire to do things your way. This astrological position leads you to find success, especially in sports or artistic careers. Working in your profession will be a pleasure for you. You may build a reputation for being a flirt, a creatively expressive person, a gambler, or a risk taker. Your professional life revolves around the arts., children, and athletics. You bring an authoritative approach to music, theater, art and dance. You attempt to add structure to your creative impulses. You may discipline children. You may even work as a choreographer. You are a professional stage actor. You bring a professional approach to your hobbies and may even make a career out of a hobby. You become an authority on music, dance, art, and theater. Overall, your legacy will be related to your creativity, and your children.
6th House:
Your professional success is related to service. No matter what profession you choose, it will be more gratifying for you if you feel that you are helping others. You may pursue professions linked to medicine, therapy or nutrition. If you do not have a career, you are likely to work in a company that provides some kind of service. You build a reputation for your daily work performance, and you may become known as a workaholic. Especially since your vocation will most likely require you to work every day. Your career could be related to work with animals, involvement with fitness and diet. You may discover your true vocation through an apprenticeship or specializing. You may become a specialist in a certain area and therefore carry authority when you speak on that topic [professional weightlifters, professional animal activists, etc.]. Your true work most likely requires you to be an employee rather than a boss. Your vocation involves lots of employee and coworker interactions. Awards/recognition will come through your daily work. Overall, your legacy will be your aid/service to those who are in need.
7th House:
Your professional success is related to the public, society and marriage. You have a need for give and take with the public; your contact with the public could be on a large scale as well as people individually. Your professional progress will be stimulated by the training of some association or by the support you receive from your mate [husband/wife]. You gain recognition and social status through your partner. You gain awards and recognition for your efforts in a partnership [marriages aren't the only type of partnership]. You may work with your partner. Your profession involves working in one-to-one relationships. Your professional success is dependent on your ability to relate to other people. Your professional success is dependent on your ability to form significant relationships. You are an authority on marriage, and business partnerships. You bring a professional approach to marriage. You treat your marriage like a career. You lay down the rules in marriage. You bring your outer expectations of success to your marriage. You want your marriage or partnership to live up to society’s standards. People with this placement do not take marriage lightly subconsciously because they know how much marriage can help their life and its value, but they also know how much it can hurt their life as well. they tend to be very picky with marriage partners, but they usually choose the right one [of course unless there's other aspects or placements interfering [for example, Lilith/Chiron/mars/Saturn/Pluto in the 7th house]. What each partner does for a living can be an 'issue' in a relationship or marriage. Each partner’s social status can be an 'issue' in marriage or partnership. Ideally the partners should have equal status and equal standing. Partners should have balanced careers. Partners should have the same ambitions and goals in mind. Partners should want to have the same achievements [or rather same type of achievements]. Your legacy will be your relation to your marriage partners, your relation to the public, business partnerships, and your one-on-one relationships. [I personally have the placement and it's pretty accurate. I'll see how it pans out though because I am a minor, and have in fact not gotten married lmao]
8th House:
Your professional success is related to your ability to produce changes or transformations in yourself as well as others. This astrological influence brings financial support from others that will help your career. That help could come from a financial institution as well as your marriage. You may work in an investigative or financial field [journalist, researcher, scientist, detective, accountant, miner, archaeologist]. Your work may be related to your sexuality, death [mortician] or rebirth. You may turn your spirituality into your profession as well [astrologer, tarot reader, professional witch]. You may deal with confidential information and negotiate in secret. Somehow you always end up in "special" projects where there is secrecy [ you will have to sign NDA's]. Beware of shady dealings as it will affect your public status. There are often transformations in your social status, career, and reputation. Your legacy may be related to how many hardships you've gone through and made it through; it'll also be related to your financial status and spirituality.
9th House:
Your professional success is related to your ideals, university degree, higher studies, religion and traveling. You may establish yourself professionally in a different place from that of your birth or your work could necessitate you to travel often. You always feel the need to expand your knowledge and to make the most of each day; as a result, you may keep going back to school/college. You choose a profession that allows you to travel and interact with people from other countries. You choose a profession that falls in line with your faith. Your career may be related to your religion [ex. priest] You receive awards for academic achievements and religious work. You choose a profession that allows you to search for higher meaning. You bring an authoritative approach to religion, faith and belief, and academic learning. You may have a career in professing [professor]/lecturing. Having a profession, status, and recognition gives your life meaning. Your legacy will be related to your faith, ideals, and education.
10th House:
You are likely to put a lot of energy into achieving professional success. Your ambitions and goals are clearly defined, and you have a need to demonstrate to yourself and others what you can achieve through your own effort. Your career may depend on parental support or guidance, or you may follow in the footsteps of your parents. Either way, you always point out your individuality and personal ability. Getting out in the world and making a name for yourself is important to you. You want to be known for something and to receive awards and recognition. You want to climb to the top of the mountain in whatever you choose to do; you are ambitious for the sake of being ambitious. You have an authoritative approach to career and vocation. You want to reach the top of your profession. How much you know in your career builds your reputation. You become known for your achievements…"Oscar winner…”, “Nobel Prize winner…” etc… You become known as an authority on whatever type of work you choose to do. Your legacy will be your achievements.
11th House:
Your professional success is related to your participation in some organization, group, union, or club. The support you receive from your friends will be crucial and because of this, you have to consider sociability as an important part of your life. Your true vocation involves working with groups of like-minded people. Following your calling depends on your ability to gain friends and fans. As a result, you have a professional approach to friendship and bring your need for recognition to your friendships. You choose friends who will boost your social status, and who won't outdo you in social status. You choose friends who have won awards and made achievements. Your ambitions influence your friendships. Your career involves working for social causes and movements. You want to reform society’s standards, expectations, and role of authority. Your relationship with your parents influences what types of social causes you become involved with. You may eventually belong to a professional club or guild., be a member of a professional board, or even belong to a board of directors. Your ability to conduct yourself professionally influences how many fans you gain. Becoming famous results in a lot of fans. You want to be in a profession that has an audience. If you get famous, fan clubs will spring up. Fame allows you to help social causes. You have high hope and ambition for your career. Your legacy could be your hopes, wishes, friendships, and social activism.
12th House:
Your professional success is related to your ability to serve others behind the scenes. Your profession is likely to be performed behind closed doors or in private. When I think of this placement, I think of the people who make the sets in a movie or show. This position favors professions that require power behind the throne; that is to say that you make suggestions or decisions without conferring with the public. Activities linked to secret information, medicine or investigations would be very favorable. You may work in a hospital or prison, or charity. Finding your true vocation helps you release grief and sorrow. Gaining recognition/becoming famous is the self-undoing but may help you release your grief and sorrow. Becoming famous causes you to isolate. Becoming well-known may be a fear of yours, but also a desire. Fame enables you to help your favorite charities. Fame allows you to pursue your interest in the paranormal. Your social status causes you to retreat and too much exposure makes you want to hide and escape from reality. Your relationship with your parents/authority figures makes you want to escape from reality. The best career for you involves working alone. Your true career involves working with prisoners, the insane, hospitalized or underprivileged, meditation or spirituality, working with the paranormal, developing psychic abilities or becoming a channel. You may not have much of a legacy but if you do, it would be your charity work, and your work with the underprivileged, hospitalized, or imprisoned.
Yep, thats the 10th house ;). Hope you enjoyed, and I hope that it was accurate.

Our "Why"
If you want to manifest something, you've got to feel the feelings of it already being a reality, until it is made real.
I know why I stream and buy and share tutorials and vote like an unhinged obsessed person, even though I have crazy work and school deadlines.
It's because this very kind-hearted, highly intelligent, extremely talented, breathtakingly humble young man needs to know.
He needs to KNOW his Hot100 wasn't a fluke. It wasn't bots. It wasn't stream farms. It wasn't random luck.
He needs to know that no matter how many haters (online or in the industry) try and mess with him, we have his back. We will show up.
Next week, during that short window of time when soldiers get to look at their cell phones, he should lie down on his bed, open up that screen, check to see how things went, perhaps a little nauseated with nerves...
And see nothing but pure love and triumph! High charting. Sales that make him untouchable. Reviews that rave about his vision and his skill.
He should know in the marrow of his bones.
The thousands of hours of practice, of going back to the basics, of having a hand in every element of design, the physical and mental strain, the raw, aching fatigue--it was all worth it. He's seen. He's appreciated. He's understood.
I do all this because I want a good person to KNOW they are loved for being good. That despite all the corruption and heartache in this world, good things still happen to good people.
I don't want to brag to antis or other kpop stans. I don't want to crow about Jimin's accolades because I feel superior or more powerful. I don't want to feel like *I* accomplished something, here.
I want to be able to sleep peaceful when this done, sure that we all did our best, gave every inch, crossed every barrier, stayed the course and kept going...
All to get Jimin safely landed so securely in success that no one questions his value or his artistic choices ever again -- least of all him.
Do you know your Why?
Manifest it.

LUCKITTY-CAT!

❤︎ a multistep guide for adisorn to help you a new cat adjust to their new lifestyle. ❤︎ adisorn moore x gn reader ❤︎ wc: 2k ❤︎ content warning(s): yandere, kidnapping, one (1) mention of blood, petplay (not in the sexual sense)/adisorn treats you like a cat, written before full game release/based on adisorn as portrayed in the free demo ❤︎ adisorn moore is from the game online obsession being developed by sourmiiiilk

Prepare space for the cat beforehand.
This was arguably the easiest step for Adisorn Moore. Thanks to the excuse that he was moving in, no one batted an eye about him buying all sorts of locks, security measures, and a truckload of otherwise pretty suspicious material. He did have to do a couple laps around his new place to decide which of the rooms was best to keep you in.
His bedroom was tempting, but he doubted that he could get much done if he had to potentially fight you each time he wanted to sleep or get a change of clothes. However, he did like the idea of being able to eventually get you into his bedroom, to spend time closer to you and with you. Maybe if you settled in nicely enough, he could use the idea of his warm bed as a potential reward for your good behavior.
The bathroom would be a good choice to ensure that exits and entryways were tightly secured, but he also didn’t want to have to give up the comfort of his bathroom just yet. Besides, the bathroom offered just too many outlets for you to make drastic choices, and he didn’t want you thinking you could take the easy way out after all the hard work he’s put in.
The kitchen was easy to eliminate, so that left Adisorn with his guest bedroom. He didn’t have to do much to prepare the room. A few contractors and a bit of money was all it took to eliminate the single glass window, and a few YouTube tutorials gave him good insight into how to replace the locks on the door. All he had left was to set up some cameras and keep the room’s furnishings to a minimum, and he had the perfect set up for a new cat to pick up.
He doesn’t like that the room looks so barren. It’s the perfect antithesis to just how vibrant and rich you were as a person, but at the same time, Adisorn understands that sometimes he has to take the extremes in order to get what he wants.
He’s sure with time that you’ll come around to understand him.
You always have.
2. Provide enrichment for your cat.
The first few weeks were the worst. If only you knew how much it broke Adisorn’s heart to have to wear you down like this. He never expected this whole ordeal to be easy, but knowing it and actually carrying the deed out were two completely different things.
You tried every trick in your book to win back your freedom.
He stood on the other side of the door as you bargained with him. You begged, pleaded, cried, screamed, groveled until your voice went hoarse. Of course, your freedom wasn’t something he was willing to negotiate with you in the first place, but you were desperate. You needed to try everything you knew. Nothing was too sacred or too profane to yell out. Day in and day out, you’d hurl curses and praise at him, trying to find any weak point in his mind to wedge yourself into so that you could somehow do something. Anything.
You offered up money. You swore that you would never tell the authorities if he just let you go. You threatened him, saying that it was just a matter of time before your family and friends would figure out you had gone missing and then everyone would be hot on his trail.
When that didn’t work, you turned to more physical methods. He could hear you grasping at the walls, slamming your fists against the concrete in hopes of finding a weak point that might let out just enough to let you escape. You’d scratch like a real cat at the door until you’d bleed, evident by the dried crimson droplets Adisorn would discover underneath the crack of your door. You’d fight him whenever he’d come around to let you wash up or to drop off food, biting and screaming and clawing and crying like a wounded animal at death’s doorstep not quite yet ready to have its life snuffed out entirely.
It wasn’t worth trying to rationalize anything to you at this stage. He just had to wait it out. You were smart, and soon enough, you’d realize that there really was nothing you could do to help yourself. No one was coming to save you, you were too weak to find a way to break out or overpower Adisorn, and all you had left to depend on for your own well-being was him.
Sure, Adisorn was to be feared and hated, but the one thing worse than Adisorn right now was to not even have him at all. The dread would settle in with time, as long hours would net you nothing but a sense of hopelessness that you couldn’t quell on your own.
And at that point, Adisorn was more than happy to welcome you with open arms and a faux apologetic smile.
After all, even seeing him for a little bit was a big upgrade than being left all alone in a starkly empty room with nothing but your panicked thoughts.
3. Perform regular grooming and care.
It took him a while to trust you to be left to your own devices. Even with him breaking down your immediate walls, you still had enough fight left in you that he couldn’t fully let his guard down. You would turn anything—from an old toothbrush to a ragged comb—into an opportunity.
Adisorn detested having to treat you like this. He fell for you because you were so capable and kind, so empathetic of everything he did, so the last thing he wanted to do was strip you down to nothing but a shell of yourself and have to take care of you like you were a doll. It wasn’t an easy line to balance by any means, but with enough trial and error, reward and punishment, he was able to drill some semblance of a routine into you.
You no longer tried to scratch his eyes out whenever he let you out to brush your teeth and wash your face. You no longer tried to twist the towels in the bathroom into something to strangle Adisorn with. You no longer tried to steal the parts of the toilet in hopes of using it as a weapon.
It was almost domestic after a while. You’d stand next to him, eyes bloodshot, and brush your teeth at the same time he did. He always made sure to pick out toothbrushes with your favorite colors, and Adisorn would even ask you every now and then if you wanted him to change the color.
He did his best to let you out for hygiene at the same time every day, and as the weeks and months bled by, your expressions of rage, disbelief, and disdain quickly turned into that of anticipation and almost a kind of longing.
Like you had missed his presence.
4. Allow for exploration and play.
How much time had passed since the fateful day that he had snatched you up all for himself? The numbers, the pain, the tears and struggle were nothing now that he had you where he wanted. He could vividly recall the excitement he had felt when he first moved in, scanning his entire apartment to decide where he wanted to keep you and just how good it would feel to slowly open you up to the other sectors of his abode.
And finally, that day came.
He didn’t miss the way your eyes would widen when you first stepped into his spacious bedroom. Your gaze fell over all of his belongings: his closet filled with all kinds of clothes, a big bed with soft pillows and matching sheets, walls that weren’t a drab shade of soulsucking grey, and the occasional bit of StarBlitz merchandise.
You must have missed having your own bedroom. Having your own things. Having your own normal life.
“I figured you were getting lonely in the guest room. And, well, you really aren’t a guest in this house anymore,” Adisorn cracks a bad joke, in hopes of getting a reaction out of you. It’s really a 50-50 as to whether or not you’ll reply to him or treat him to a dose of cold silence, but it’s a gamble he’s willing to take each and every time.
Your lips tremble as you take a shaky step forward. It reminds of a shy kitten wobbling on its unstable legs as it ventures out into the wide world.
“It’s so big,” your voice is quiet and weak. Nothing like the strong, lively voice he had gotten used to before he had kidnapped you. “And… it smells like you. There’s so much here.”
“Consider it yours as much as it is mine, snowflake.” A strong hand comes down on your shoulder, pulling you in close to his side. “I’m letting you have this much because you’ve been so obedient lately.”
You look up at him. It’s true that over the long, long course of your imprisonment, Adisorn has taken painstaking measures to ensure that the fight in you has left. You don’t know whether to laugh or be grateful. Having him open his bedroom up to you feels like a mockery, like he’s showing off everything he’s stolen from you and expecting you to fall to his feet and treat him like some merciful god. But at the same time, you, of all people, aren’t in the place to argue.
Not when you don’t even have any of this in your current room.
“...Thank you, Adi,” your lips move numbly, and the words tumble from your mouth like stones. They weigh against your conscience, as if the admittance of your gratitude was somehow a stain against your soul. “It’s wonderful.”
“You’ll be sharing with me, of course. But y’know, still better than nothing.” He gestures vaguely around the room with his hand. “Sharing a bed is better than sleeping on the cold floor. Getting to pick out your own clothes from my selection is better than you having to wear whatever I get you.”
He pauses, before he peers at you with fond eyes. It takes everything in you not to visibly shudder underneath his touch. It makes your skin crawl to think that at some point in your life you had been foolish enough to trust him, to hold affection for him, to consider him a friend.
“And above all, you’ll have me to keep you company regularly. You won’t be so alone.”
When did this nightmare start? When had you turned into something so weak and pathetic? At what point had you grown too confident in yourself, to lose sight of the predator lurking at the edges, the lone hungry wolf licking its maw in anticipation for its next meal?
And at what point did you learn to accept it? His fangs against your body, bleeding you dry of any will to retaliate, are just as sharp as ever, disguised under a screen of generosity in hopes that it could lure you into a sense of security. Maybe Adisorn was never the tough wolf you made him out to be. He never considered this sadistic farce to take place on equal grounds.
In his mind, you needed him. You couldn’t make it out there all on your own. You couldn’t take care of yourself, couldn’t understand the workings of the cruel world evolving around you. You needed someone to guide you in the right direction, to become the guardian angel you didn’t realize you needed, to love you in the way you had once loved him.
You needed him to take care of you. To scoop you up in his arms. To lavish his affection onto. You were never a capable, human counterpart in his eyes. Even from when you first laid eyes on him in your small town, he saw you for who you truly were. No better than a helpless, mewling kitten, calling out to him to be taken, to be loved.
To be housebroken.

As someone who's just started trying to learn art a bit later in life (I'm 29) I feel pretty far behind the artists I admire (such as yourself). Any words of advice for an older amateur who's just getting started?
Find your art obsession and keep drawing it! I've had a few friends start late and improve steadily just from getting into D&D and wanting to draw their characters. Learn the basics of anatomy so you can draw your blorbo. Then learn backgrounds so they have a place to be. That will lead you into perspective, then drawing objects, you wanna give them an appeal outfit so that gets you colour theory, etc etc. Just keep trying to answer a new "how do I draw X" question with each illustration and you'll improve.
If you want more focused improvement, try finding some local or online art classes. Drawing figures from life is always the best, then from photo, then from illustration. Pair figure drawing with learning construction shapes (boxes & spheres etc) and internal anatomy (all the little muscles). Do studies of other works you like to understand how the artist did the thing you find appealing. I don't have any specific suggestions for classes/tutorials/books, for me it tends to be a lot of, I want to draw [object] so I search for an image reference and slap it on the canvas while I draw.
Medium can make a huge different too. Digital art is cleaner for sure but the physicality of pencil and paper, paint and canvas, and other traditional media can be really fun and leads to more of those happy mistakes. And say you just don't like the lineart phase of an illustration, well, fuck it, just clean up your sketch and bit and slap colour on it and paint it up a little.
Lastly, this one can be really hard, but don't tear yourself down comparing to other artists or because your art isn't getting engagement. Try to find some peers you can learn alongside. Draw for a handful of other freaks who love your blorbo too. Try not to let the joy of art get sucked out of you.
hope some of this helps!

So, the Hetateens are pretty distant from one another in terms of where they live. That's to say that 1) physical hangouts are incredibly rare. 2) when they do manage to meet up, at least one of them is getting their ass kicked because of the difference in timezones. 3) their only convenient option is online video calls which also aren't ideal because at least one of them always has some sort of technological error and the timezones are still an issue.
However, it's still their best option, so the Hetateens end up on very long calls. It is incredibly chaotic. You have like two of them who are just asleep because it's night where they are, you have an entire debate going on, there's fighting and no one knows who's playing music.
Some instances that have occurred on these calls:
- Iceland forgetting to mute his mic before falling asleep and unknowingly sleep talking to his friends. He started fighting with Norway (who wasn't even at home at the time) in his sleep, yelled at Mr. Puffin, had a whole existential rant about fish, and started talking about how much he loves his friends which awwe but they also make fun of him every time.
- Cyprus, despite it still being morning where he lives, always going to sleep whenever any of the others do. It'd straight up just be 2pm where he is but the second someone else needs to sleep, he suddenly needs to go to bed too.
- Hong Kong and Taiwan arguing loudly and running into each other's rooms to fight. Like Taiwan fully gets up from her chair, runs out of the room then the others get to watch her run into Hong Kong's room to smack him with a book or something. They used to just sit next to each other as opposed to calling from two separate rooms, but the fights were too frequent then.
-Liechtenstein doing random shit in the background while everyone is talking. She just does a full makeup tutorial or randomly unboxes one of the millions of packages she got, not contributing to the conversation at all other than the occasional nod and "Ohh... Uh huh..."
-Luxembourg taking his phone on a whole road trip. Like he takes the call to the kitchen and basically gives them a tour of the kitchen and premium footage of him making a smoothie, then he goes on a run and just like shows them everything he sees. It sounds nice, but it's very chaotic. The phone is shaking violently like 99% of the time, they can barely hear a word out of Luxembourg's mouth because he's always doing a million things. It's very unorganised.
-Hong Kong joke flirting with everyone for no reason. "damn, Iceland, you're starting at me a lot, are you like in love with me?" and Iceland stares at him in pure disgust. Or there's like a moment of awkward silence after Luxembourg finishes explaining what he's gonna do for the day and Hong Kong just goes: "I want you..." for no reason. It's incredibly dumb and it always results in an uproar of "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!!?" But Hong Kong just finds it fun.
- Cyprus gets mad at the others for swearing. Hong Kong will occasionally unleash a tirade of cuss words just to piss Cyprus off.
- Raivis barely talking the whole time and only ever unmuting to say something that will absolutely start an argument for his own entertainment. He and Liechtenstein innocently wave at each other the whole time. Raivis is also the one who has the most technical issues throughout these calls because he refuses to upgrade his laptop even though it's barely surviving.
- Hong Kong and China arguing loudly in full earshot of the others.
-Seychelles squinting at the camera suspiciously and mouthing things like 'you think you tough?' at it. If you happen to be looking at her screen, it's automatically targeted towards you. It's so random too. She's normally super sweet and coquette core, but out of nowhere she'll just stare into the camera like it killed her entire family.
Among other things.

Physics and Mathematics Resources (plus some Chemistry):
I will update this because I know I have more recommend textbooks somewhere in my files, I'm just too tired to look right now. Latest update: 5/13/25
Physics:
The Science Spot--Mostly lesson plans for teaching kids
The Physics Classroom Tutorial--Has interactive online activities and models. Some videos and also some chemistry stuff.
HyperPhysics--Quite possibly the best resource I've ever seen because it shows how all concepts are linked together. The site isn't loading for me but it says it's up. There is a downloadable version on the Internet Archive (though it doesn't look as nice and clean). EDIT: I found a GitHub that lets you clone and download the html so you can click through it offline and it works! If people are interested I can make a tutorial, it was very easy.
PhET--A ton of demonstrations and tutorials. Also has some for mathematics and chemistry.
Paradigms Physics Notes--this was the curriculum that was used in my junior and senior classes. A lot of stuff here. If you are interest about teaching physics using this method, you can read more here.
Quantum Mathamatica Add-on--Useful for calculations.
The Hypertextbook--uhh lots here. Problems, solutions, explanations, etc.
oPhysics--interactive physics software.
MiniPhysics--more demonstrations and interactive software.
Michel van Biezen--really clear work-throughs of many subjects (algebra, calculus, chemistry, physics). He actually has a tumblr but has been active in like a decade @ilectureonline
Mathematics:
Paul's Online Math Notes--Got my whole class through junior and senior year
Calculator Soup--a lot of different kinds of calculators
3Blue1Brown--Very interesting youtube channel that shows a lot of calculus and linear algebraic principals visually or in intuitive ways.
Mathologer--more interesting advanced mathematical concepts.
General:
OpenStax--Free textbooks, legally

That National Geographic leather binding for Yellowstone is fucking Gorgeous!!! (Pardon my Language)
How long have you been binding, and what would you recommend to someone who wants to try it for themselves?
hello and thank you so much!! I worked really hard on that one (and no pardon needed haha)!
I started binding in February of 2021, which means in a few months I'll have reached 4 years. It's been an awesome journey!!
If you'd like to try it for yourself, I'd recommenda few things!
1) You can 100% try out the basics with near free or cheap materials. People typeset in Word or Google Docs or Pages. You can print on printer paper & use regular sewing thread & scavenge board from old books or notebook backs or do a limp leather binding & use no boards at all. You can make paper pamphlets. Any comments I make following this are about my preferences for best results. The most expensive part that cannot be avoided is printing. On the other hand expenses can wildly escalate if you're committing to it; once you are doing leather it becomes somewhat unavoidably expensive.
2) Check out some tutorials from SeaLemon or DAS Bookbinding on YouTube for the physical construction. SeaLemon is really clear for a beginner starting out, but then I'd move to DAS for better technique (DAS also has a beginner series though). I watched DAS Bookbinding videos for three weeks straight before I was able to start, & while that doesn't maybe work out for everyone I do think it gave me a pretty strong basis of understanding for structural techniques. DAS is *really* good at explaining why he thinks you should do something. The structure of the NatGeo bind is basically DAS's video on a rounded & backed bradel binding (but with leather & sewn on recessed cords). There is some good stuff on Tiktok/IG, but watch short-form videos/reels with caution. They move a little fast and I've seen a couple give instructions that can result in structural flaws (not that this is unique to the form, cross-referencing on instructions from any source is a good practice). They are good for if you're looking for a specific technique (particularly modern decorative ones, like cricut use, edge gilding, HTV application). There are also published books you can buy or maybe request through your library, such as Hollander's Introduction to Bookbinding. Renegade Bookbinding Guild runs a whole bunch of technique-specific in-house zoom classes annually.
3) Look to other fanbinders for tutorials on how to format the text (this is because most pro bookbinders do not do both text design & book creation! it's a pretty unique feature of fanbinding). @renegadeguild has some publically provided resources on our website here and more typesetting tutorials for a whole host of softwares (Affinity Publisher is my choice - one time purchase, fuck you very much Adobe InDesign) located in the discord server. Anyone 18+ can join the Discord. The NatGeo inspired book (text & dust jacket) was created in Affinity Publisher.
4) Join a community of fanbinders! It's really lovely. The space has exploded & there are tons of people to be friends with, trade tips, & cheer each other on. I'm part of @renegadeguild and we do a whole bunch of events throughout the year, and we have an in-person retreat every other year. I've met with over 20 different renegaders so far, in three different countries, and it's been such a blast. Definitely the community helps keep up the motivation. Renegade isn't the only community out there though! There's groups more rooted in IG/tiktok circles that have their own discords, plus a number of FB groups. I do think most people who are comfortable on tumblr enjoy Renegade's vibe.
5) While I learned most of what I do online, some things really benefit from in-person learning. If you want to do leather binding I would really recommend trying to take an in-person class. I did two attempts at a leather binding on my own before I decided to hold off until I'd had at least one in-person class. Leather binding can be extremely frustrating, especially when you can easily end up with a book that looks worse than a cloth binding at your same skill level but for double the cost. Imo this is mostly because the leather specific skills like paring, warp management, and assessing a random piece of leather for bookbinding suitability are all pretty tactile experiences, all of which are difficult to assess through a screen and can result in an unpleasantly bulky/stiff/shapeless book if ignored. For example- while this book of mine is a pretty popular post, I don't enjoy holding it and reading it, especially in contrast to the NatGeo bind. Part of this was the material I chose; part was not being able to adhere to the instructions quite well enough; part was just not knowing enough about what I was doing; part is they're different constructions. This might just be a me thing though; I'm sure others have had success with online only tutorials for leather.
6) I'm not going to get into specific tools bc that could be a whole post, but some things are necessary (printer access), some things are necessary depending on style, some things are "makes life easier but only drop the money if it's stopping you from making books out of frustration", some things are just technique-specific tools. Examples - sewing frames are often brought up but are never necessary unless sewing on cords; cricuts & cutting machines are commonly used in fanbinding circles but I don't have one (& don't intend to atm).
7) Don't be shy to offer the author a copy!! Like other fan activities, fanbinding is part of our fandom community ecosystem. Your fanbinding is in communication with the author's story. Giving a bind to the author is a great way of keeping the ecosystem going. I tend to think of binds as a combo of comment, fic rec, and fan art inspired by the fic.
8) Paper grain sounds stupid but it IS IMPORTANT! My personal hierarchy of give-a-fuck for grain: Board grain, spine card grain, endpaper grain, cover paper grain, text block grain, book cloth grain. The only thing I personally sometimes ignore is book cloth grain; but many people will not worry too much about text block paper grain.
Gonna stop there for now. If you've got specific questions or want elaboration, feel free to ask. As with all things, YMMV, this is my own opinions/experience and may not apply in all cases. There's a whole lot of different techniques out there, and it's hard to ever say something is wrong, per se - but I think it's important to understand if a method has an outcome you may want to avoid. Prioritize your goals & adapt for them - what's your goal? Longevity, readability, aesthetics? You might make different choices depending on them. My choices influence the techniques I chose to focus on, the tools I buy, and thus the final aesthetic of my binds.

At what point in time did you see a giant hammer and go “yeah, that’s my main.”
Monster Hunter: World is a 2018 action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom. The fifth mainline installment in the Monster Hunter series, it was released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January 2018, with a Windows version following in August 2018. In the game, the player takes the role of a Hunter, tasked to hunt down and either kill or trap monsters that roam in one of several environmental spaces. If successful, the player is rewarded through loot consisting of parts from the monster and other elements that are used to craft weapons and armor, amongst other equipment. The game's core loop has the player crafting appropriate gear to be able to hunt down more difficult monsters, which in turn provide parts that lead to more powerful gear. Players may hunt alone or in a group of up to four players via the game's online multiplayer.
Announced at E3 2017, Monster Hunter: World adopts the series' standard formulas from its older home console roots and recent handheld games to take advantage of the higher processing power provided by modern consoles and computers. Changes made in Monster Hunter: World include creating environmental spaces that are fully connected and removing the "zones" that were necessary for the PlayStation 2 and handheld games, more advanced monster artificial intelligence and physics, a more persistent cooperative multiplayer experience, and a refinement of the game's tutorials and user interface to help with bringing new players into the series. These changes led Capcom to plan for the game's simultaneous release worldwide, since Monster Hunter as a series has generally languished outside of Japan partially due to disparate release schedules. Capcom also opted to support online play between these different geographic regions for similar reasons. The delay for the Windows release was attributed to Capcom seeking to make sure its first foray into the Windows market was optimized for players on computers. By April 2020, updates to the game were synchronized among all platforms.
Monster Hunter: World received critical acclaim upon release, with critics praising how Capcom was able to make the game more accessible to new players and to Western markets, without detracting from the series' core gameplay elements and enjoyable difficulty, and fully taking advantage of the computational capacity of modern consoles to create living ecosystems, with some even calling it the best in the franchise. Monster Hunter: World is the single highest-selling game in Capcom's history, with over 21 million copies shipped by July 2022. A DLC expansion pack, subtitled Iceborne, was released for home consoles in September 2019 and for Windows in January 2020, and reached 10 million sales by December 2022. The next mainline installment, Monster Hunter Rise, was co-developed alongside World and announced for a worldwide release on Nintendo Switch in March 2021, with a Windows version released the following year.

AU where the world of MHA is a full dive MMO, with top heroes also being the best players.
My Hero Online is the newest hit Full Dive MMO based around a world of Superheroes and special powers. The game advertises itself on not only Full Dive gameplay but the customizable 'Quirk' system that allows you to create your own unique superpower by combining thousands of preset parts. E-Sports are a big deal, with a national leaderboard.
Midoriya wants the game due to a strong desire for escapism on account of junior-high bullying. Why is he being bullied in a No-Quirks(?) AU, you might ask, if you've never been to middle school. When he finally gets it, he's approached in-game during the tutorial by another player, inviting Midoriya to a 'secret area.' Midoriya, not really being a gamer before this, doesn't know enough to spot the red flags.
The 'secret area' is out of bounds and not meant for players to be there, but the other player is a hacker. They genuinely meant to hang out and goof around with exploits and cheats, but, uh. There seems to be two digimon-adjacent asks at the top of this post. I hope you weren't attached to your body, Midoriya, because you're about to lose it.
To cut a long story short, Midoriya got grabbed by some kind of glitch entity while logging out of the game (to avoid said entity) and found himself back in his room but, uh, not quite physical anymore. Cyber Sleuth refers to this as a half-cyber body*. I'm taking a few liberties with it though.
Midoriya would actually kind of like his body back though, it's his and he is attached to it. But he's not going to be able to get it back without diving deep into My Hero Online and learning more about what's below its surface.
+1. Midoriya is locked into his first character as a result of the glitched logout that took his body. It also gave him the Quirk, Glitch, which doesn't appear to be a real Quirk that you can create through the character creation system, and seems to border on warping reality within the game. And it might be getting stronger.
*For those of you who've never seen it, the half-cyber body is a blue silhouette of the person covered in a shifting pattern of squares resembling the particle effect used for digital stuff. However, by adjusting some data, this body can be customized to appear normal.

Is it possible to get a back massage from GE, rough day 😔
“You’re as tense as a rock, my beloved.”
“You’re telling me,” you muttered under your breath as you let out a groan. You knew you weren’t supposed to sit down like a shrimp over your desk while working, but once you were in the zone, it was hard to remember to adjust your posture. After spending countless days in a classroom like that, your body was finally starting to betray you for it. "I need to be pushed into a clothes wringer or something."
"Well, I don't imagine you would feel better after being flattened into a pancake," he corrected.
Saeran didn't hesitate to smooth his palms against your back. He was still learning how to correct the pain in your back, but you had to give him credit where credit was due. He'd been teaching himself using a few tutorials online on what to do and what not to do. Ever since you told him that you wanted to lay down after classes and not do more than that for the rest of the night, he knew he had to do something to ease your pain.
Though, somewhere along the line, he discovered old cartoons with wacky concepts. No wonder he pointed out something you'd seen in Tom and Jerry. You weren't sure how he jumped from videos about massages to that, but rabbit holes were rabbit holes, and it was cute to see him learn more about the world.
You laughed. "Well, you never know. You've been kneading my back like I'm a biscuit for five minutes. I'm certain you've turned into a cat, Saeran."
At least, you still had the strength to muster a laugh. That was likely his plan from the start, but you couldn't blame him for being devious. It was sweet how he did his best to help you feel better physically and emotionally. You'd done the same for him, and he was finally learning how to do the same for you. It was a method of trial and error, but he was getting better at it day by day.
Your shoulders were still worse for wear, but having Saeran there made the pain less overwhelming by a long shot. He paused that comfortable rhythm for a moment, and you couldn't help but to glance over your shoulder to see what made him stop. His lips were curled into a smile as he raised a hand to his face, mimicking a cat's paw.
"Meow?"
You laughed harder.
"They say laughter is the best medicine, after all."

The Wild West, and how it saved me
I recently celebrated being 5 years free from my abuser (Feb 27th,) so I figured I would write a journal entry about my progression, and how one specific gaming franchise helped me.
I was trapped in an abusive relationship for 3 years, but managed to escape in 2020, just before we went into lockdown for the COVID pandemic. During this time, I endured every different type of abuse - emotional, verbal, financial, sexual, and physical.
I tried everything to get rid of him. Everything. I eventually had to accept that he has to leave on his own terms - when he gets 'bored' of me. In the meantime, all I can do is reject him, ignore him, and do everything to keep myself sane and stable.
We were shopping one afternoon, and went into Game to pick something up for him. Whilst in there, I saw an advert for Red Dead Redemption 2 playing on loop. It looked fun! I wasn't much of a gamer, but I decided to wing it, and give it a go. I was met with doubtful and mean comments, "you're shit at gaming, so why bother?" and "I bet you won't even make it past the tutorial," but I just ignored him.
At first, yes, I was crap at the game. I couldn't get a grasp of the controls, let alone how to use Dead Eye. I stuck at it, partially out of spite, and partially because I was enjoying the game, despite not being the best.
Throughout my progression, I continued to endure hurtful comments, until I got to around Chapter 4. He finally admitted, "I'm surprised you made it this far, you're decent now." Still, that was probably the only nice comment he made about my progression.
It seems silly, but this game kept me sane. It was my one and only distraction, and I spent so much time on said game, that he was finally starting to get bored with me. I was enduring less abusive, and eventually, he got fed up and finally moved out. I had managed to get my abuser out of my door, his set of keys were in my hand, and I never had to see him ever again!
But I continued playing my game, followed by the first one. I was amazed that I had managed to finish both games, all within a few weeks into the COVID lockdown.
However, one of the many nasty comments that he first made kept playing in my head. He had a thing for getting 100% completion on most of his games. I didn't even know that was a thing until I met him, and I never bothered for it. But I was determined to prove him wrong even more, despite him no longer being in my life. I was no longer being abused, but I still had many wounds to heal, and these games were keeping me sane and helping with my healing process.
It took me 2 weeks to get 100% completion on RDR2, and when I finally did it, and had that xbox achievement pop up, I started bawling my eyes out. Again, it seems so silly, but setting myself this little task, something that he had doubted me for, helped me so much. I didn't have many friends at the time to talk to, most of whom had been pushed away by him, so this game did a lot in keeping me afloat.
And to rub even more salt into his wound, I went and got 100% completion in RDR1 in only 36 hours (although I know I could cut that number down to 30 hours, I just got a little confused with the bounty hunter stuff lol.)
During the rest of lockdown, I spent a lot of time on the online multiplayer, reaching level 200. I think I have about 2,000 hours worth of play time? lol.
I know they're just games, but I cannot stress how much they helped me heal. 5 years later, I'd say I'm almost back to full health, although not all scars will fully heal. Still, I managed to escape him, and prevented myself from spiralling into depression, or much worse. He has never apologised, never tried to reconcile, but I can go to bed peacefully each night knowing that I am in a much better place, with my favourite gaming franchise to help me through it all.
Thanks for reading x

Hi hello I hope this isn’t a weird ask but I’m someone that loves bookbinding and also has a graphic design degree and I’ve formatted books and such (even binded a fanfic I love for personal keeps) and I saw your post about the Second Head book you made.
First of all: absolutely gorgeous formatting and color usage and overall book design, it’s SO good and I’m actually so sad that I can’t have a copy of it but I totally understand why of course.
Second of all: do you have any images of the process you took in making the book itself like the formatting and the physical creation? It’s just so gorgeous and I love to see the process people go through with book binding, and this is just such a unique style I’m so curious!!!
Did you create this book design yourself and went through iterations before deciding this open-double-door format was best, or did you find some tutorial online for a cover like that? Did you format the pages in indesign or another program? How did you get the text block so uniform on the edge, like do you have a text block butting machine??? I have so many questions… also by the way I love the meaning behind the book, I’m the same way where I’ve noticed that phrase used in so many fics and I found it charming that so many people happen to fall into similar phrasing, like we all share something.
Have a great day!!!
To your first point, thank you for your kind words.
To your second, I posted Some process and postmortem pics to this Tumblr but not very many. It was a hairy build and I felt like I was just barely holding on. But I do have a much more in depth process for a couple other books starting here.
I like little surprises in book covers and, for this one, I knew I wanted the idea of a second head 'appearing' when closed. I do a lot of bullshitting in the design phase, not sure what I can and can't do, and the faux-French door seemed the most achievable. I made a previous book with a much more simple magnetic closure, as a proof of concept, so I had experience with how far I could push the magnets. And I think I got That idea from a store-bound journal or something? It all seemed straightforward, looking at the design in my vector program, but I should have done Considerably more half-size prototypes. Some pretty massive mistakes made it to final and that's rough.
I use LibreOffice for text block layout. My text is very perfunctory, I'm ashamed to say (if you aren't familiar, Renegade Guild is always great for looks). I used a Print-On-Demand for the block itself, which I can't, in good conscience, recommend for most cases. It's shit construction and bad paper but it allows for stress-free decorative experimentation with the physical block itself. You can T-E-L-L where my interest lies in a build.
I would very much like to see your bookbinding.
