brazilian anon again. she postponed one of her shows, which was the right thing to do and she should’ve done that in the morning instead of doing it after people where already inside after waiting outside for god knows how many hours. (disclaimer: when i say she, i mean taylor + her team + t4f). anyways. fans are disappointed and rightfully so, not only because she postponed it, but because of the entire situation and the delayed announcement.

however. when reading about the situation here on tumblr… it’s disgusting the amount of racism and xenophobia gringos are spouting. i saw someone saying taylor should leave brazil for her safety because brazilian swifties don’t deserve her and because brazil is a dangerous country. like man… it’s exhausting and it makes me wanna cry lol

i could spend a lot of time explaining brazil, so stupid swifties outside of latin america could understand what it’s like to live here (i prefer living here, with public free education and healthcare, with a government that cares for its people, as we all know, politicians made sure water is a right in the concerts now), but i think i would be wasting my time.

they talk about death threats and leaking the hotel address, but afaik the hotel was common knowledge and the “death threats” i saw were just exaggerated reactions from fans — that have been waiting 11 years for a taylor swift concert, which was very expensive.

anyways. i wish racism wasn’t so common among swifties, but it might be asking too much. sorry for the rant, it’s just been some crazy days here.

I'm so sorry you had to go through this anon. You’re right, they should have postponed the show previous night when things became so bad. Everybody knew the heat was gonna increase yesterday, so putting on a show in that atmosphere was not safe at all. But they still didn’t announce it beforehand and people were standing in the queue for five/six hours in that scorching heat to get inside. And just one hour before the show starts, when almost everyone has managed to get inside, miss queen announces from her air conditioned dressing room that the show is postponed, wow imagine the privilege? Another fan named gabriel died because of armed robbery when the show was cancelled. I wonder how many fans are sick after the show because there is no track of that. What was her team even doing? And who even gave her the idea that touring in brazil in November was a good decision given it's the hottest period of time there?

Plus the amount of racism I've seen given this situation is sick, they are treating brazilian people as animals and demanding taylor not to ever step her foot there again. Like those americans are the same fans who ruined jack antonoff's wedding, made her cornelia street apartment a tourist spot, stand outside her frontyard with cameras the whole time. Not to mention how stalkers there literally get into her house every now and then. They should be the last ones to call brazilian swifties invasive, who are literally seeing her for the first time in life. The hotel leak isn’t something new either. Even when Taylor went to panama or dublin with Joe, her hotel/ rented apartment addresses were known. There were literally articles about where she was staying. So putting a negative impression on this now that it's happening in brazil is extremely racist and xenophobic of them. I can literally go on and on about this matter but it makes me sick to my stomach how disgusting swifties are...so I'll just stop.

You gave me a lot of emotions because I was like…damn, I would love to write both scripts for shows and write/publish a novel that people loved so much they turned it into…idk…something. Anything, really. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Then I thought, daaaaamn I’ve had two people tell me now they dreamed about Doc and Zoro, but in different contexts. At least I know I’m not the only one plagued by these two in waking and sleeping hours 🤣

As for your question: I Do have like a mixture of characters and their attributes I use for Doc.

It’s literally a mixture of these three.

1. Yennefer of Vengerberg

Yenn is such a complex character. We know she’s been through a lot of cruelty and pain, which has caused her to be cautious and untrusting to most. She also holds onto, what I feel, is a resentment towards herself for giving up the part of her that wants to be a mother for power. She treated the need for power like this replacement child, and was willing to die to get the chance to be one back. When she met Geralt, they are both suspicious of their feelings towards one another and equally run from them. When I see her, dealing with her emotions and her darkness, it’s kind of how I imagine Doc in the last couple of chapters and the coming chapters.

2. Elizabeth Bennett (Keira Knightley)

You guys don’t understand. Pride & Prejudice is an addiction for me. When I watched this again recently, I couldn’t help but notice how Zoro is literally introverted and socially awkward Mr. Darcy, and how Doc is in some way, Lizzie. It’s where a lot of their banter comes from and their own prideful way of seeing the other before they actually spend more time together. I am like, hell bent on writing my own version of Mr. Darcy crossing the moor at early dawn to Lizzie, but in my own fucked up way for Zoro and Doc because I am a masochist.

3. Evelyn (Evie) O’Connell (Rachel Weisz)

“Look, I... I may not be an explorer or an adventurer, or a treasure-seeker or a gunfighter, Mr. O'Connell, but I am proud of what I am. I am a librarian.”

absolutely. not to go on a tangent but choking is one of the riskiest forms of edgeplay in my opinion, and i think the vacillating threat of death by windpipe getting crushed vs death by hypoxia would deeply appeal to lawlight. one small fuck up and you've accidentally sealed your guilt. one small fuck up and oops, L, you killed your prime suspect. the problem is that light gets off massively on seeing L's eyes go glassy and unfocused, on seeing him weak and pliant from a lack of oxygen, on being the reason, all because of a well placed thumb on his carotid artery. and L gets off on light willingly putting himself in the circle of L's hands.

every time light gets too cocky, L presses down on his windpipe. just a tiny bit of threat to make light's whole body lock up. L, for his part, gets choked quietly. the only sign that he's having fun is that he's extremely hard against his thigh.

i think light loses this game because he gets a little bit too into seeing L hypoxic and delirious and so accidentally makes L pass out. which is a loss condition. poor guy (unsympathetic)

i don't even know where to begin but basically because cellbit is extremely famous and for a very long time was EXTREMELY disliked within brazilian content creation circles/by fans (due to a myriad of factors-- partially some legit criticism, partially people lashing out because he doesn't like parasocial stuff, partially people deciding he's just a good punching bag, and also the stuff with his ex for many years made a lot of people feel justified in how awful they were to him). this isn't like that wild on its own BUT the amount of ex-friends/colleagues/ex-ordem cast members who will just randomly decide to talk shit about him for no reason is genuinely crazy. like watching old vods where he plays with other people will be wild because he'll be playing with like four people who since then have said absolutely batshit stuff about him, and it's kind of crazy just how many people it is. like you know how people don't talk enough about how there is a version of parasociality that involves being obsessed with hating someone? that's kind of how many, many people were/are with cellbit, particularly fans, and particularly ordem fans. the crew from the fear pong video + a few others are like. the small crew of people who haven't talked shit about him, alongside newer gringo friends of his.

this isn't a great explanation because there's too much context to really get into in a single or even a few posts, but tl;dr people talk shit about cellbit constantly and he was making a joke about how at least matt and everyone would be doing it to his face rather than, say, on-stream while he's asleep without talking to him about said issues beforehand
