I am not exactly sure if this classifies as an Au or headcanons since Trolls Band Together was kinda short and for the life of me I kinda hate when movies are rushed and we get the cut scenes afterward only as a storyboard(I also tend to like the concept art more than the official art)

But enough of me ranting and more into me getting into what I think/want to happen to Brozone when the band split up

John Dory(19):

Seeing John Dory's entrance attitude and smugness truly made me think yeah this guy is definitely full of himself and in major denial about some things and what really confirmed my suspicion was when he said "I was the oldest I had no choice but to lead!"

So for his solo career, I thought maybe he did some odd job like bounty hunting, or perhaps he played hero with a small town with a small population of trolls or some other anthropomorphic species. Of course, anyone he would save or any group of bounty hunters he'd join didn't like him because he enjoyed taking control of the situation so much or bossing everyone around. He never liked being alone but he kept driving people away, so eventually he knew solitude was his best option, therefore living in Ronda alone in a forest. He did feel regret for driving his brothers away but only because he knew he was more familiar with bossing them around than some random strangers he'd just met. He kept the mindset of "Why should I feel bad when they're the ungrateful ones!" and "All I've ever done was look out for them, and I stepped up when Mom and Dad died!" after those thoughts he couldn't help but think "What are you doing John Dory?"

Spruce/Bruce(17):

I thought it would be funny if almost everyone at his little restaurant on Vacay Island or should I say Brandy's restaurant...well her dads knew who "Bruce' really was except Brandy. I like to think Bruce went to vacay island because either his therapist or himself thought he should relax more so he went on a "vacation". He chilled out, gained a little bit of weight making him lose his six-pack, and most importantly tried to win the heart of Brandy because she seemed to be the only one not falling for his charm. Brandy played a tsundere type of approach when it came to all his advances on her, but then it all came to a game of volleyball as Bruce's way of showing his dedication to her, of course some of the other players used his small stature against him and he was getting his butt handed to him. He was only able to score a single point (IDEK how volleyball works) and the way he leapt into the air had Brandy star struck, the that that was holding his hair back snapped and he used nothing but shear will power to spike the ball. I mean sure Bruce lost but did he really? He got the girl in the end so it's all that counts right?

Clay(16):

(So I don't really have much for clay because I used most of my ADHD superpowers on the other guys and there's not too much I can go on from the movie)

Now Clay just looked around for jobs, it was retail, then tried working at some corporate building but it all didn't exactly work out because none of his co-workers took him seriously. Feeling out of options Clay walked aimlessly eventually finding Viva and the Putt-putt trolls, at the time imagined them looking more post-apocalyptic and slightly barbaric and frankly chaotic, Viva needed drastic help because she was just a little kid like Clay. Clay offered to help her mainly because he has a tiny bit of OCD (Saying this because of how grumpy he looked when John Dory went off and did his own thing and him practicing and worrying before Brozone performance.) and Viva thought/thinks so highly of him and thought of him as serious which is all Clay ever wanted so he just felt at home...and may or may not have developed feelings for her in the long run. Still, hey I've already got into a Romance segment.

I'm going to leave this here and not do Floyd because I'll talk about his little solo career journey in an OC ramble. (I have no shame.)

Gator's POV

I've known Y/N all my life. To be fair, just because I knew her doesn't mean I was friends with her. We were in the same class all through school, but I've never had a real conversation with her.

Y/N was known in town as having the most beautiful voice. She sang in the school choir and the church choir. They begged her to do a solo when she was only 13. After that, the whole town fell in love with her. Every family wanted their son to marry her and every boy our age wanted to be with her. I was the only one that people thought wasn't into her, but that was a gigantic load of bullshit.

Of course, I was into her. She was the only one in school who didn't treat me weirdly because of my dad. She was sweet to me. She once told me that she didn't want me to become like my father. She believed I could be better.

I sat in my dad's car in the grocery store parking lot, waiting for him to hurry up and buy the beer. I sucked on my vape, blowing the air out the window. He hated it when I made the car smell like my vape.

My breath got stuck in my throat causing me to chock in the smoke in my mouth when I saw Y/N walking out of the store. I couldn't help but follow her with my eyes as she went to her car. She opened the trunk and started putting bags in. Suddenly, a bag broke making her sigh. Her frustration made me jump out of the truck. I jogged over and started helping her pick up the items that fell.

"Thanks, Gator," she sighed. "But I can pick this up."

"I don't mind," I shrugged. "I'm trying to be a gentleman."

I looked up and smiled when she laughed. "Gator Tillman, a gentleman," she chuckled. "That's not something you here often."

"I'm not all bad," I mumbled. I looked up, my breath getting caught in my throat when I saw the way she looked at me.

"I know that," she said gently. We had an intense staring contest until my dad interrupted it.

"Hey! Gator, get your ass in the truck!"

"Sorry," I mumbled. I cleared my throat before looking up at her. "It was good to see you, Y/N."

"You too," she blushed. "Thanks for the help, Gator."

When I got in the car, I turned to see my dad smirking at me. "What?" I sighed.

"Are you trying to steal Y/N away from that prick, Donny?" My dad laughed.

"What?" I scoffed. "One of her bags broke. I was just helping her pick up her groceries. I wasn't trying. . . Wait, she's dating Donny? The fucking water boy?!"

"Not for long," my dad said in a sing-songy voice. "Got get her, tiger."

The rest of the night, I couldn't stop thinking about Y/N being with that dweepe Donny. He wasn't good enough to play on the football team but the coach was secretly sleeping with his mom so he made him the waterboy. Y/N didn't deserve that nerd. She deserved someone who could take care of her. It made me so angry I got drunk.

I woke up to an immediate hangover. I sat up and slowly got ready for my shift. I went about the day like it was any other. Responding to random calls and vaping in between. That was until I got a certain call.

"We got a 417 in progress," dispatch said.

"Got it," I answered. "Where?"

They listed off the address, but something felt strangely familiar. I ignored it and drove to the address. When we went to the door, it was opened.

"That can't be good," I mumbled. We went in, guns ready. We went in different directions and swept the place, but it was empty.

Until I walked into the living room.

My stomach lurched when I saw her. Y/N was on the floor of the living room, passed out next to a destroyed coffee table. I felt like everything froze as I watched the puddle of blood slowly grow. I lowered my gun, unable to move.

"Sir, there's no one here." My partner's voice dropped when he saw her. "Except her," he said slowly.

I finally snapped out of it. I put my gun back in my holster and ran to her. I collapsed next to her, not entirely sure what to do.

"Get a medic!" I yelled. "Now!"

I turned back to Y/N, my eyes scanning her body. I carefully reached forward and moved some hair out of her face. The second I touched her, I felt how cold she was.

"Where the hell is that medic?!"

My breath got caught in my throat when I heard her groan. "Y/N?" I dropped my voice. "It's me. It's Gator. Open your eyes for me, Y/N. Please."

When she still didn't do or say anything, I continued, "You're safe. I swear, Y/N, I will find whoever did this to you and I will keep you safe. I promise. Just, please, wake up."

I held my breath as I waited. Finally, Y/N's eyes weakly and slowly fluttered open.

"Gator?" She said my name so weakly it broke my heart.

"I'm here," I said quickly. "I'm right here."

"Gator," she repeated my name.

"Medics are on the way, Y/N. They're close. Just hang on a little longer. Please."

Y/N reached for me and I instantly grabbed her hand. "Don't leave me," she said weakly.

"I'm not going anywhere."

I sat in the waiting room, nervously bouncing my leg. I kept glancing towards the door, wishing a nurse would walk through it with news on Y/N. I was ready to storm over to the nurses' station, flash my badge, and demand for them to tell me what was going on with Y/N. The second someone came out, I approached them.

"How is she?"

"She's awake," the nurse said kindly. "Follow me."

I was right at her heels as she walked down the hall. When she got to the door, she stepped aside.

"Go on in," she said. She smiled before lowering her voice and adding, "All she has asked for is you."

My heart jumped into my throat as she winked at me and walked back to the nurses' station. I took a shaky breath as I gathered my courage to open the door. I slowly put my hand on the handle and walked in. My breath got caught in my throat when I saw her asleep on the bed.

Y/N was covered in bruises and dried blood. She had an oxygen tube, the one that went into her nose, and an IV in her arm. Watching her sleep, my anger built. I didn't know who did this, but I knew what I would do when I found them.

Seeing that she was sleeping, I started to leave her room.

"Gator?"

I froze when she weakly said my name. I spun around, instantly making eye contact with her. I quickly walked over to her and sat on the extra chair in her room.

"How are you?" I asked, my voice soft.

"Tired," she tried to smile. "And sore."

"Speaking of which," I hesitated, "can I ask you some questions about what happened?"

"I guess so," she shrugged. I felt like someone had punched me in the stomach when she gasped in pain as she readjusted.

"We don't have to do this right now," I said quickly. "You should get some rest."

"It's fine," she sighed. "Ask away."

"Okay," I started. "Can you tell me what happened?"

"I was. . . I didn't. . . I didn't get the beer he liked."

"Wait, what?"

"I could only find. . ."

"Donny beat you because you brought home the wrong beer?! That son of a bitch," I yelled. I stood up and started running out of the room.

"Wait!" Y/N yelled. I froze in the doorway and turned around. She had tears streaming down her face as she opened and closed her mouth. "Gator. . . Don't leave me. Please. He could come back. . . Please stay."

I instantly returned to my seat and grabbed her hand. "I won't leave until you feel safe," I whispered. "I promise."

She smiled weakly at me before falling back asleep. Just like I promised, I stayed by her side until my dad walked in.

"What the hell. . . Ohhh." He started to get angry but laughed when he saw whose hospital room I was in. I let go of her hand, stood up, and turned around.

"The officers told me you went to visit the victim you found today while responding to that 417," he smirked. "I thought you were batshit stupid. But now? Now I get it."

"Dad," I sighed.

"It's a good plan," he interrupted me. "You found her, brought her here. Any girl would fall for the guy who. . ."

"Donny's the one who hit her."

The look on my dad's face changed. "Her boyfriend did this?" He asked under his breath.

"Yeah," I sighed. "He got angry because she bought the wrong beer."

"Wow," my dad scoffed. "He's. . ."

"A fucking asshole," I finished for him. "I swear, I'm gonna find him and I'm gonna shove my gun so far down his neck that he'll. . ."

"Calm down, tiger," he laughed. "I'll have some officers go pick him up and take him to the station. Then we'll help Y/N get a restraining order against the dick. And, if you want, I'll have my friends make sure he leaves this town and never comes back."

"What am I supposed to do?"

My dad looked behind me before putting his hand on my shoulder. "Why don't you tell the girl you've had a crush on since you could walk that you'll never hurt her and will do whatever it takes to keep her safe?"

"But. . ." I stuttered.

"Go show her that she can bring whatever beer she wants to your place," he smirked.

"Dad. . ."

"Tell her that she can have a better life with you." He patted me on the shoulder before leaving.

"Gator?"

I spun around to see Y/N awake. "Hey, you," I smiled. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine," she said slowly as she looked at the hallway. "Was that your dad?"

"Yeah," I said clearing my throat. "He heard what happened and wanted to know what he could do to help you."

"Really?"

"Of course," I said, walking over and sitting next to her.

She looked down and nervously played with her hands. I knew what question she was avoiding asking me. To help her, I decided to answer the unansked question.

"He's sending some officers to arrest Donny," I explained. "We know some people who can help you get a restraining order."

"That's not going to work," she said, her voice dropping.

"What do you mean?" I asked, scooting the chair closer to her bed.

"I've tried." When she looked up at me, she had tears in her eyes. "He knows people, Gator. People. . . people on the police force."

"Who?" I asked through my teeth. I cleared my throat when I realized how demanding that sounded. "I mean. . . I can make it stick. If not, we'll just get rid of him."

"Wait, what?" Y/N panicked.

"I'm kidding," I said quickly. I cleared my throat and lowered my voice. "Listen to me, Y/N. He is never going to hurt you again. I swear."

"How can you be so sure?" She whispered.

I ignored the butterflies in my stomach as I reached over and gently grabbed her hand.

"I will not let him hurt you," I said as seriously as I could. "If he wants to get to you, he'll have to go through me."

"Gator," she whispered. "Why are you. . . Why would you do that for me?"

"Because," I stuttered, "you're. . . and I. . . Well. . ."

"Gator," she gently cut me off.

"I like you," I forced out. I watched as her eyes widened.

"You what?" She asked, her voice soft.

"I like you," I sighed, knowing there was no turning back. "I know this is horrible timing, but I've had feelings for you for such a long time. Donny doesn't deserve you, Y/N. To be honest, I probably don't deserve you either. But I can try. I can take care of you. I can protect you. I can give you a good life. I can. . ."

Y/N grabbed my face and pulled me toward her, bringing my lips to hers. As soon as our lips touched, I started kissing her back. Without breaking the kiss, I sat next to her on the bed. I pulled her into my arms, not wanting to let her go.

When we broke the kiss, we were both out of breath. "I'm sorry, Y/N" I mumbled. "Donny broke some of your ribs. You need rest. Not some guy climbing on top of you."

"I wouldn't object to a certain guy climbing on top of me," she giggled as she played with my shirt. She looked up at me through her eyelashes, making my stomach do flips. "Gator?"

"Yes?" I asked quickly.

"You promise you can protect me from him?"

My stomach sank at her question. I pulled her into my chest, wrapped my arms around her, and relaxed us into the bed.

"I promise to protect you from Donny and anyone else who tries to take you from me."

Regarding fandoms and comments, I've recently had negative comments that tell me I'm not good and should just quit writing. Well, it worked. I no longer am able to write without it affecting my mental state. People who do the bullying do it to get rid of authors they don't like that doesn't fit their mindset. When does it end? I didn't want it to hurt my mental health and get me to quit, but it did.

People treating each other badly whenever they can never ceases to make me sad.

I try to think the quote "hurt people hurt people" when dealing with negative people. Happy, balanced people, who view others as their equals, have no need to leave negative comments, send hate messages etc. to others just because they can.

Take a little break but don't let anyone stop you from doing what you love! I try to keep this mentality and I always think about how Billy Idol (80's famous singer) just kept pushing forward whenever someone or something said no to him:

When he was a child, he wanted to play a guitar. Parents said "No, you can only play a violin" -> Billy secretly got himself a guitar with 5£ at the age of 9 and learned to play it by himself.

His teenage girlfriend dyed his hair white. Everyone said it looked horrible on him -> Billy kept the white hair and made it his trademark.

He discovered punk and FINALLY managed to put a band together in his late teens. Too bad that London, where he lived, had closed all bars and pubs from punk bands. He went to university to study music. He was bullied and ostracized by other students as he was too weird, too freaky looking and listened to punk instead of jazz -> He was lonely but staid in the school and kept his looks and music taste.

He started to dislike being a band member and wanted to have a solo career. Everyone said you can't make it, you suck, you can't make compose a shit -> Billy decided to start a solo career as Billy Idol anyway.

When he started to get a little footing in the Europe, he decided that he wants to go to USA. It would give him better markets and more chances to succeed. Too bad that Europe's most famous punk band, Sex Pistols, has just epically failed in their attempts to make it in the USA. America hated punk and Billy Idol was nobody compared to Sex Pistols. Everyone called him delusional for having such stupid dreams. -> Billy went to USA anyway

In America, all record labels he went to said the same thing; you will never make it here. You sing punk and we hate it. You sing with British English and we hate it. You look so fucking ugly that no one will come to see you. If you want to succeed here, you need to change your music style for radio friendly stuff, change your accent and change your looks. -> Billy thought that if singing with American accents helps, he does it. Otherwise, fuck you. This is the music he wants to do and this is his style and how he wants to look. -> This decision led him to become super famous. Everyone loved his music and the fucking ugly guy became one of the 80's sex symbols, and his music videos were literally directed to sell with sex to the female audience.

Also, it was told him with dead certainty by many people that your music will never play in radios. EVER. Well, what do you know, his music still plays in the radios, 40 years later :3

So, keep going! Keep writing! There's audience for every single style out there and just because some asshat wasn't impressed, it doesn't mean others wouldn't like your stuff.

I mean everything? The sincerity, and the sarcasm. The fact that they're not saccharine in such a wholesome cast makes them feel really really genuine to me. I like how different they are, I like that their dedication to eachother is mutually beneficial. I like that they're so unlikely, and they love eachother so much anyway.

I like that they're going to end in tragedy. I like that they're forged in tragedy, experiencing a brief sunlight, and then it's going to end. And it's going to hurt so bad. I like that it'll have been worth the pain.

I like that neither Rouge nor Omega is some hacked on call to Maria. They had their appeal on their own. I like that Shadow and Omega are nothing like Rouge, and they make her shine for being unique in a way she could have been lost had Sega done the other plan of put her in Team Rose. I like that Omega has never been made to change from who he is to be loved in Team Dark.

🔍 What do you read in them that you wish more people thought/ knew?

I don't think they have to be sibling coded. So often I see them written as Big Sister Rouge, Dramatic Middle Child Shadow, Chaos Gremlin Baby Omega. And that's okay, but it undersells all of them: Omega is actually pretty wise, both in first instance and now. Rouge is perfectly welcome to be chaotic and silly, Team Dark doesn't rob her of that in canon. And Shadow has both innocence and wisdom that we shouldn't forget about. They are more complicated than the roles we try to fit them in.

Bring them back :( but also on their own solo adventures. I want to see more of these characters in settings they don't normally go to. IDW has given us a few, get them outta their box more!

🐜 What's your smallest headcanon for them?

Omega involuntarily plays a few little tunes. They think it's adorable, but they've helped him turn most of them off because they embarrass him. Some examples:

Happy Birthday on Eggman's birthday. He was at Sonic's party when it happened, and it's a cutesy little jingle. He was mortified.

When starting up. He doesn't actually hear this one, as it's before the aural processor is booted. But Rouge often parrots it back (dun! Dun-da-da-dun, ding!) And he doesn't love that.

When he's surprised he bings. He mostly overrides it but sometimes they sneak through

When he's done something well sometimes the little *baba bing!* comes out. Shadow and Rouge also copy this one when he does it.

And there's a free space in here, so have a random headcanon:

Once a month, they have a scheduled day off from eachother to do their own thing, a tradition set up by Rouge when they had the teething problems of being a new team. This gets logistically awkward when they're on a mission together, and they often fail, but its become a meme. They'll spend their whole day off - on which rhey might be stuck on a rocket together - saying things like 'if I were speaking to you today, I'd ask you to pass the salt' 'UNIT IS NOT SPEAKING TO YOU. UNIT IS SLIDING SALT FOR PERSONAL GOALS.'

- despite his chaos, Remus is actually the best player in his section

- Virgil isn't half bad either (going with sax on this one)

Rock Band:

- they both fumble flirting so ridiculously hard that they don't get each other's numbers and Roman has to give them to each other later (he is Big Disappointed)

- They text for a few days and Roman sees his brother genuinely excited over this boy and Romans like "c'mon, my best friend??? You picked my best friend???? Sorry Pat— MY BEST FRIEND?" but he's not angry just exasperated

- Remus gets brought to many many more concerts now (both as guard dog protection because, while Roman can protect himself and is very certain of it, he still doesn't like going random places alone. Personal headcanon of him, don't mind me AND because Virgil starts inviting him personally)

- How do you feel about Remus drooling over Virgil while he plays guitar? What feelings does this inspire? Why am I reading this like a therapist?

- Virgil will eventually write a song about Remus but it has so many metaphors that it takes Roman two months to figure it out (and the WRATH he rains down upon Virgil because WHY DID HE GET A SONG BEFORE ME WERE BEST FRIENDS but it's all in good fun)

I FEEL FOR YOU ALL...Q-Q Honestly I didn't even break my high score until near the end; it absolutely isn't easy and some persistence is key

Here's some specific tips on how to get closer to achieving Top 5%: (Just for anyone reading this who needs the tips!)

Watch the previous top 5% scores carefully! The score is climbing, so knowing what to shoot for helps! Last time was 150 eggs, and this time is 156, so fully expect 160 or more to be the bare minimum for next Big Run! That's an average of 55+ eggs a wave, which is very tough, but doable.

Mind your weapon RNG! Sometimes we'll just get unlucky! Pay attention to the entire weapon comp of your team! If you have a high inking weapon and your teammates don't, you may need to focus more on clearing out the chum/smallfry to help your team! YOU may not be able to get a ton of eggs, but if you help them live and move, they may be able to!

Lure + Let eggs gather by the basket before collecting! People get very antsy to go grab a ton of distant eggs first (and dying a lot in the process), but sometimes you do have to let eggs sit in a bunch while you finish off crucial bosses! (Flyfish, Stingers, Big Shots, Eels). If you watch Overfishing videos, you'll often see teams let like 20+ eggs sit around the basket for a bit as they clear the immediate area, THEN spend time mass-dunking a ton of them when they get a moment to breathe! Also make use of the egg throw for distant eggs to get them closer!

For best chances, squad with allies! There's no escaping this: Squads will have better chances to get the high score than 100% solo queue. It's not impossible! I have gotten good scores with randoms, but you're playing a game of chance with the overall skill of your team. There are servers and pools of people who are always looking for good help! If you believe you're EVP material being stuck with bad randoms, go find 'em!

Climbing the ranks is MANDATORY. Top 5% doesn't happen in Overachiever ranks, unfortunately. 8( You need to be up in EVP to get the higher boss spawns, higher egg requirements, etc. My average has been EVP 400 or so before I start hitting the large numbers, so if you're having trouble getting up there, make that your goal! Practice in Salmon Run until EVP 200-300 is doable for you! There are tons of guides out there on optimizing eggs and surviving tough rounds!

Also this isn't many people (and not directed at you guys at all, just generally) but please do not get mad at or blame the overfishers! It's "Top 5%" for a reason, which means just by nature, 95% of players participating WONT get the gold trophies! It's a small pool of people competing to get there.

Ya gotta compete! You gotta give it your all, and work on learning and improving! That's the nature of a competitive result!

You can do it!! If Top 5% is something you truly want to work towards, I believe you can get it! 💪💪💪

Yesterday Louis broke the 4th wall and mentioned the leaks dun dun dun. How totally random of him that the leaks somehow magicly came out of nowhere.

Those songs, like All Along and other demos that have kind of found their way online, they're really like a moment in time.

I kind of feel for him cause I know he wants those songs talked about but solo louies have convinced themselves that leaks are never intentional. It's too bad cause they're missing out. To be fair Louis tweeting out he's gutted sends out mixed messages to those who don't look past the surface. To me the tweet was no different than Sony tweeting and deleting about not letting your friends listen to the album after HS3 leaked. It's all meant to draw attention to it. So hopefully they now get the message? And if they do, then I love that the first song they get to hear is his Harry love declaration. I mean these lyrics they just scream Harry. And now I'm home? Late Night drive to Tesco? We were young and I was so naïve? We saw ed in manchester and I held you while he played? IT WAS YOU ALL ALONG? lol really? Good for you Louis! Convert them one at a time.

🤭🤭 To be fair, I think the interviewer asked him specifically about All Along and COACOAC. It's not like he brought that up himself. But I mostly agree with everything you said, anon, particularly when it comes to new songs "leaks". The Amazon leak was the weirdest shit and I'm not sure why people are not ready to understand that this is part of the promo. I mean, listening parties are exactly that. They're allowing a small group of people to listen to the songs because they want to hype it up and see everyone's reactions. It's the same thing.

About the old songs and demos being leaked, I don't think all of them are on purpose. And I say that because there are a few really bad and unfinished ones out there LMAO. But All Along?! Please... it's an amazing song, mostly finished, not that far away from the sound he's looking for in his new album. Plus, I could be wrong because I wasn't much online lately, but I'm a bit surprised that people are not talking about the fact he said that there's a reason some songs were never officially released. He 100% wanted this song out there.

Honestly Q-Taro was a very realistic character. In these kinds of death games or life or death scenarios you have to look out for yourself the most if you want to live. Sacrificing yourself for someone you just met is not as easy as people think.

He's real. He feels authentic to me. He's not positive enough that he believes everything will go right and they can take on anything. But he's also not a downer of a character that just makes you wanna drag and skip the game because of everything they say and act.

Spoilers ahead for the game, yeah? Don't read ahead if you haven't seen it through.

Q-Taro earned my respect the fucking moment he stepped in and questioned Keiji, a grown ass policeman and adult why he was okay with letting some random high schooler like Sara wield a gun instead of literally any of the responsible adults there.

It was reinforced even more when Q-Taro suggested in the first main game that the supposed ones with the weakest resolve and the ones who don't want to prove themselves to be of worth to the group should be voted out instead of anyone else, to which he rightfully suggests Gin, Kanna, and Nao. He wasn't wrong there. He made a fair suggestion.

HECK, HE EVEN BACKS IT UP BY OUTRIGHT SAYING TO REKO THAT IF SHE THINKS HE'S USELESS, THEN SHE SHOULD VOTE FOR HIM AND SHOW HER OWN RESOLVE. THAT'S WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT. AND HE GETS VISIBLY UPSET WHEN KANNA IS OKAY WITH BEING VOTED BY EVERYONE ELSE. BECAUSE HE WANTS KANNA TO STEP UP FOR HERSELF. HE'S JUST TRYING TO GET THEM FIRED UP AND ENCOURAGE THEM.

And don't even get me started on 2-1. I get why people would be mad about him sacrificing everyone else in the bad ending where he puts in 200 me-tokens into the vending machine. I get that. I also understand why Q-Taro would do it, it clearly left a heavy feeling in his chest and he regretted it. That wasn't the right thing to do. But I don't blame him for it.

AND I SURE AS HELL DON'T BLAME HIM EITHER FOR NOT WANTING TO GET SHOT BY POISON IN THE FINAL ATTRACTION? HE'S SCARED OF DYING. THAT'S A PERFECTLY GOOD REASON TO NOT PUSH THE BUTTON.

AND HE STILL DOES SO ANYWAYS WHEN GIN'S ABOUT TO TAKE A THIRD SHOT FROM THE MACHINE. HE CLEARLY FEELS BAD ABOUT LETTING GIN TAKE THAT MANY SHOTS. ANYONE WOULD FEEL BAD ABOUT LETTING A POOR KID LIKE GIN TAKE DEADLY POISON LIKE THAT. IT'S A NORMAL REACTION.

AND IT'S STILL A NORMAL REACTION TO BE SCARED OF SACRIFICING YOURSELF TO SAVE ANOTHER PERSON. THAT'S NORMAL. THAT'S REAL.

God I love Q-Taro so fucking much. This fandom did him dirty and misunderstood him harder than any other character in this damn game. Q-Taro deserves a fucking apology from the people that slandered his glorious name and I will not let any of this hate stand.

Not all of them are like this, but so many of the people that hate him for what he did would never admit it, but you know damn well in their heart that if they were put in the situation that baseballer was in, you would've done a bunch of the same shit he did in that game.

I'd talk about Chapter 3 Q-Taro in here, but I feel like that was when this fanbase actually finally started to realize how good he actually is as a character, so forget it, you all know how awesome he really is now if you've played up until then.

i mean, of course i will, if you still dislike q-taro in spite of all this (and chapter 3 q-taro as a whole, really.), then that's fine, it's your opinion and these are all just characters at the end.

rambling about levels in apeirophobia because i have nothing better to do with my time!

i played this game religiously back in march/april, and i've gotten to know the levels very well. (i've been accused of speedrunning multiple times because of how quickly i managed to get through some of the levels /srs) but i havent played it in quite a while.

(and for those who don't know [aka most people probably]: apeirophobia is a backrooms game on roblox. seeing as apeirophobia is the fear of infinity or endlessness, i think its very fitting for a game about being trapped in seemingly endless liminal spaces)

(also this is very long i'm sorry)

level 0: lobby [4/10]

definitely not the best level.

once you get spotted by the entity, you really just cant get away unless you have the gamepasses that give you more speed and stamina (at least i think that would work? i don't actually have the game passes so i'm not quite sure)

i do like the layout of the map though. as long as i don't run into the entity, i can get through that level pretty quickly!

level 1: the poolrooms [7/10]

its very easy to do in multiplayer, but i can't do it solo. (thats most levels to be fair though)

i know the exact locations of all the valves you need to find! one of them is on the left side of the map, while the other 4 are one after the other along the right wall (leading to the exit). most people either don't know or forget about the 5th one, so i always go for that one. it makes the level go so much faster when the group doesn't have to go back and try to find the last one!

but if people are whistling and drawing the starfish towards the spawn hallway before anyone has a chance to get out, any like i have for this level just goes out the window.

and speaking of the metaphorical window,

level 2: the windows [5/10]

theres literally nothing to even say about this level.

its just 30 seconds maximum of running.

no obstacles, no entities, no nothing.

i mean its kinda fun to race the other players but thats it.

ranking this higher than the lobby because this one isnt annoying.

level 3: abandoned office [5/10]

i either really really like playing this level, or really really hate it. which is why it gets a 5/10.

when people do nothing but distracting the hound, leaving me to carry everyone else by getting the keys and buttons? those are the best. i genuinely love carrying in this game! i know where all the buttons are, and having someone take the hounds attention away from me makes it so much easier than if everyone was trying to find stuff at once! plus i know what buttons have been pressed and what keys have been found.

when i get to be the distraction, that's also not so bad! i like to lure the hound far into the spawn hallway so that the other players can run faster without needing to worry about it. sometimes i do die, i'm not that good, but being farther into thehallway also means i can immediately run to the exit when all the buttons are pressed!

when everyone is doing their own thing, that's when i hate it. no communication whatsoever. nobody knows who has the keys, or what buttons have been pressed, and everyone keeps dying to the hound. and considering as this is the majority of the servers i've played this level on, it just makes me not want to play it as much.

honestly, i would prefer to play this level with 3 people who have never even gotten to this level before that just let me carry them, than a bunch of "pros" that don't even realize that they have one of the keys on them.

level 4: the sewers [8/10]

this is the level that makes people think i'm a pro.

i have joined so so many rooms when people couldn't get past this level because its such a long and complicated maze (which it is) and the i show up and beat it easily.

i actually went to the wiki and looked at a map of the maze while playing it myself on a single player server. and if there's one thing i'm good at, its remembering random shit. in this case, it just so happens to be the way out!

i'm not perfect, there are a few parts that i keep forgetting where to go (and considering as i havent played this game for a couple months, i'm probably worse now.) but most of the time i still get through very quickly!

a singular point is being taken off due to me not having enough stamina to keep running. i already black out constantly in real life, i dont need that in a video game too! /lh

level 5: cave system [6/10]

i have mixed feelings about this level

on the one hand, the concept of the skin stealer thing is really cool! granted its kinda dumb in single player, but in multiplayer it makes it so much harder (in a good way). plus, i really like the map layout! even though i keep getting lost.

on the other, its just like the lobby in the sense that there's nowhere to hide from it. and since its the same size as a player, it can just follow you everywhere. also the bland white player model for the skin thing is pretty boring.

level 6: !!!!!!!!! [9/10]

another one i really like! one point off for not having enough stamina (like the sewers).

oh no! theres a large creature running after us! and the lights are all red! and theres loud emergency sirens going off!! clearly this level is extremely difficult, right? wrong.

it takes several seconds for the thing to actually start coming after us, plus its really slow. the red lights and sirens only serve to make you think its really dangerous.

most of the people who die on this level either dont know the layout and get stuck on the obstacles, are lagging and get stuck on the obstacles, or aren't good with the movement controls (mainly mobile or console players) and get stuck on the obstacles. once you beat the level once or twice, you figure out how it works and don't get stuck as often.

"but it sounds like its right behind us!" the entire map is us turning corners in a long hallway. if its in the hallway beside us (that we've already ran though), its going to sound much closer than it actually is, because its right beside us. not behind us.

this isnt actually me complaining about this levels difficulty. the fact that the entire level is designed to make you panic about a threat thats much more mild than you would expect? i actually love that! its purposely trying to stress you out and it works! (until you know about it that is)

maze + psycologically affecting the player + not needing to hide or gather items = 10/10 level in my book!!

but like in the sewers, i keep running out of stamina and blacking out. so minus 1 point for that.

level 7: the end? [9/10]

its a puzzle map!!!! and i've gotten really good at figuring it out!!

the only complaint i have is that the part with the book is soo time consuming. i have to look at the book, memorize a code, run over to the door, try the code, and pray that it works. otherwise its back to the book again.

thankfully, i have 2 monitors. so i can take a screenshot of the book, run to the door, and try all the codes i need without having to run back to the book.

still annoying though, so a point removed.

level 8: lights out [2/10]

there's only one level i hate more than this one.

its pitch dark, your flashlight does jack shit unless you're near a wall, and the stupid potato sack just loves camping the ONLY PLACE you can go to access the second half of the map. you know. the second half of the map where the exit is located???

like with the sewers, i have (mostly) memorized the way through the level. but unless there's someone distracting the sack thing, which typically there isn't, its going to take a long time to beat. if we even get that far.

also, there's occasionally a vine boom sound effect in the level. i have no idea why, but its a thing. plus one point for that.

level 9: sublimity [3/10] / [5/10]

this is my 3rd least favorite level, but hopefully the reason why has been fixed.

there was a glitch where, when you spawned, there is a large chance that you will end up stuck in the pool. completely unable to move. you just drown. and to make matters worse, if you respawned your screen just went completely black! you could still access the escape menu thankfully, but you couldnt even see the chat. your only hope was that someone didnt get stuck, and beat the level. because that takes you out of the "you died" screen without fucking up your game.

not including the glitch however, its like the windows. nothing really to do.

there's like 5 slides for the exit. i'm not sure if the different slides do different things, but i always just do through the purple one and it works.

3/10 because of the glitch, 5/10 if its been patched.

level 10: the abyss [7/10]

this level glitched out every single time i played it, but it was actually really funny.

the entities just. broke! they would occasionally move around a little but, but they never left the area that they spawned in. neither of them. you could even run up to them and they wouldn't even try and attack you! obviously if you run right up on them, you die, but that's different.

there supposed to roam around the map, and try to kill you once you once they spot you. so, you're supposed to hide in the lockers. but that glitch just makes it so much easier!

its annoying to try and find the keys in such a large map though, hence the lower score.

i've never actually played this level where the smilers actually work, so i don't know how the level is supposed to function. but with my glitched experiences, i like it!

level 11: the warehouse [8/10]

this one is parkour.

that's it, that's the level.

its difficult at first, but if you do it enough times you get used to the jumping physics of the game.

once you manage to get past the initial parkour and end up in the pretty easy maze, its smooth sailing from there! (unless you fall on the easiest jump like i did like twice)

its pretty easy to fuck up a jump and land in one of the lower shelves that you can't get off of without dying. but i'm not removing a point for that.

simply because its really funny to be speedrunning though the parkour and see someone in chat say "hey *user* look at me" and you look down and see them on the very bottom shelf just standing there staring at you.

level 12: creative minds [8/10]

i know where the paintings are, and where to put them, this is by far the easiest level to do in single player.

but i'm not going to talk about how the level works, i'm talking about the memorable encounter i had there.

my old avatar was mostly black (with some purple accents and white eyes). most of the entities in this game are pitch black. someone saw me turning a corner in this level and freaked out, thinking i was an entity at first. but what they said what that i was "too black". the other person on the server immediately called them out for being racist because they didn't have the context of black meaning #000000 and not the skin color. i got apologized to for an accidentally racist sounding comment about my roblox avatar on that level. i just think that was funny. especially when you add the context of me being very white irl.

level 13: the funrooms [0/10]

the entity teleports behind you. and if you dont turn around and look at it fast enough, it kills you.

there are 3 things that i am viscerally afraid of, and the third of those is being attacked from behind.

plus the creepily happy atmosphere just makes it worse.

i hope that the person who came up with this level gets a hole in their sock.

level 14: electrical station [6/10]

i haven't played this one very much, but its like the polar opposite of the funrooms. and simply because of that, it gets a 6/10.

level 15: the ocean of the final frontier [???/10]

what even is this level?

why are we on a boat?

how do we get off the boat??

question marks out of ten.

level 16: crumbling memory [3/10]

its like the lobby but worse. you can't see anything because of the black goo.
