Happy March 1st!! Some great news regarding my and @kittyacelia's Etsy shop;

[We've officially restocked our Comfort Character Boxes!!]

We've completely reformatted the way we handle our boxes, and included brand new images on the listings with all the information you may need!

The biggest change would be that we now have a blacklist for fandoms available instead of a whitelist. So, we can accept boxes from characters for nearly any fandom!! However, as a result of this change, we've changed the way we handle our custom-written letters.

💚 We've made letters completely optional, but still available for purchase with a list of whitelisted fandoms (Don't worry, each box still comes with the sticker of the character of your choice)! This was a hard decision to make, and was made based on our confidence to write in-character letters, as well as our desire to expand our reach to as many people as possible.

💗 We've also added the option to pay more for your box if you'd like, in order to fund more expensive items within the box! This isn't to say that our regular boxes will be dropping in quality, just that more budget will allow us to fund even BETTER stuff, like more official merch within the boxes!

There are lots of images in the listings now that explain each of these concepts a bit more (and we also made things like box sizing and potential contents more concise and easier to understand)!

If you have any additional questions that our listings don't answer, please don't hesitate to send a message to the Etsy for clarification!

Care Package

“Have you seen that book? You know which one…” Aziraphale asked vaguely as Crowley watched him search the bookshop 

“I don’t think I’ve seen that since the wooly mammoths roamed,” Crowley drawled. “Maybe you sent it as a care package to Heaven.”

“I can see you’re not in a helpful mood,” said Aziraphale with a pout. 

“Oh angel…” Crowley said, relenting. “Where did you last see it?”

“I don’t know, that’s what’s bothering me.” 

Crowley took his hand and squeezed. He closed his eyes, willing the missing book to appear on the desk. 

“Oh darling, you shouldn’t have…”

Crowley’s cheeks reddened. “Nonsense. It was nothing.”

Saw a post about someone sharing how to DIY a hamper, and I was like, "Look, that sounds cool, but I am not gonna learn a skill to make a thing for dirty clothes."

They meant a care package. A very nice care package for someone you love who is sick.

And my brain went, "Oooooh. ENGLISH hamper. Yeah."

The way i want to spend all my money on one of those comfort character care packages. No one could get this as a gift for me bc no one would be able to describe my blorbo to the seller like i would. No one knows my blorbo like I do.

Also it would be engineer. So the care package would be space themed and i love space themed things. And i feel like themes make it easier for the seller.

Gaaaahhhh i want one so bad😭😭😭

Honestly i think selling them would be fun too, but the problem is I'd only one to sell ones for blorbos i already know and id be worried about writing the letter out of character.

Idk man.

But i want a cute letter from engineer with stuffed animals and socks and snacks and stickers and pins and what have you. And i want the items to be a bit of a surprise. That would be so cute 😭😭😭

It's been four days since Jamie got sick. She still feels awful. While Lily is in school and Sideswipe is teaching his class, Sunstreaker visits Jamie. That was expected, but Crosshairs didn't expect him to bring a medium box with him. "What did you buy?" Crosshairs asks. "A fluffy blanket, but Lily and Sideswipe wanted to make a care package." The two go into the bedroom.

Jamie is awake. She and Drift see the box. Sunstreaker tells them what he told Crosshairs as he opens the box. He takes out a fluffy red blanket. "This will keep you warm, unlike that thin one," Sunstreaker comments as he covers Jamie with the blanket, "I wasn't expecting Lily's mom, Lexie, to make cookies and insist I give you three a dozen after hearing Jamie is sick. The blanket is why I have this box. Lily and Sideswipe wanted to contribute further. I told them not to." Jamie grabs the bag of cookies. Sunstreaker is happy to hear Jamie has eaten today without worrying about throwing up. The three mechs watch her eat a cookie. Despite still coping with low energy and excessive daytime sleep, she now stays awake more during the day. Sunstreaker is told he, Sideswipe, and Lily can come on Saturday. However, Sunstreaker isn't sure because he doesn't want Lily to get sick and miss school. "We sure this is Sunstreaker?" Jamie jokes. "Still with that?" Sunstreaker complains. Jamie smiles, "you think you're so funny?" Sunstreaker tickles Jamie until she coughs, "all right, I'm going back to the base. Maybe we'll be back on Saturday." "I think she'll be recovered from the cold by then," Drift comments, "except for a possible persistent cough for a while." Sunstreaker leaves the room. After finishing the cookie, Jamie goes back to sleep.

(a few) Visiting The Sick Care Package Ideas

Something handmade (like baked goods or a painting)

A get well card or note (could also be part of something handmade)

Tissues, chapstick, cleansing wipes (basic care items)

Pain, allergy, and/or cough medicine

Flowers

A book

Easy to make meals (like canned goods, microwave meals, or frozen crock pot meals)

Fuzzy socks, blanket, and/or pajamas

Electrolyte drinks or bottled water and dissolvable packets

Chocolate

Can be hand delivered or shipped (for some items like perishables it'd be best to hand deliver). I know money is an issue for some people so I'll say that of course you don't have to buy people anything in order to show that you care (and I will be making a list soon of ways a person can do that), but this list is here if you want to and don't know where to start.
