redesigned the evil fellas and rewrote some of their lore,,

for any1 who cares, basically donella is now a healer / medic. when she and ulla found the eternal library, they still got into an argument but this time don wanted to go home because they found what they wanted to find while Ulla wanted to keep going deeper. accidents happen and ulla is cursed to stay in the library while don is cursed to stay out of it. don then dedicates her life to trying to get her bestie out of there. The curse also caused her to get a lazy eye plus a scar. Hugo used her scar eyebrow slit as inspiration for his own eyebrow slit. Most of the people who work for her are people she has healed / provides medicine.

her muscle for hire (cyrus) got a massive design overhaul bc i thought they both looked far too Evil. He works for Don because his brother is a bit ill and he cannot afford the meds normally, so he acquires them through don instead. I think hes a bit like laios from dungeon meshi in terms of personality, kinda goofy and well meaning. when he has to attack Varian and Co, hes like keeps apologizing because he feels bad hurting kids (hes like 30is).

Hugo comes to work w don bc of his arm (in me and my sister’s rewrite, hugo doesn’t have his left arm no more (blonde and no arm trope) ) and don is the one who made sure he didnt bleed out so he kinda owes her. also she helped to Make his arm. She tends to set him up with jobs here and there, before she sends him on the Eternal Library quest mostly to test his trust.

In terms of visual design, don gives people that weird metal wrist band to show other rogues and criminals that they are under her protection. She gave hugo one but he mistook it for a Strange hair tie and uses it as such. He uses a wrench to tighten it btws. anyways, don doesnt say anything about it because she dgaf.

As per request, I will assign the Redacted cast Honkai Star Rail mains (also because I have been all over this game since release and am therefore most certainly the most qualified person for this job):

Asher: Still waiting for Fu Hua to make an appearance, but he almost cried when he saw Himeko and did cry when he pulled her. The Honkai Impact 3rd vet is now a Himeko main.

Baabe: Herta main because they thought she was cute.

Milo: A Jing Yuan main whose main team is based on follow-up attacks.

Sweetheart: A Welt Yang main who almost threw their phone the first time they saw and recognized him (they, like Asher, are also a Honkai Impact 3rd player).

Angel: Hook main solely to cause chaos.

David: Refuses to play this game, but would likely be a Clara main if he were to play.

Darlin: So far all of their pulls on standard and all their lost 50/50s have resulted in an E3 Gepard, which they've taken as a sign from whatever higher power that they must turn this man into a dps.

Sam: (Actually good at this game btw) has a team full of supports only and mains Asta.

Lovely: Serval main "because she's hot" (Vincent 100% agrees).

Vincent: Has been saving for Kafka since day one, but then Blade came out, and now all his Stellar Jade is gone.

Gavin: Yukong main (I tell you this, as a Yukong main).

Freelancer: Silver Wolf because "Why do the enemies always have the toughness I can't break with my current team?!"

Lasko: Somehow turned March 7th into a possible dps by building her follow-up attacks (also plays the freeze team of Herta/Pela/March/Gepard).

Lasko's Co-worker: Best Bailu build in all of Dahlia because god knows the d.a.m.n. crew doesn't build their healers properly.

Huxley: Bronya, because he likes playing and building supports.

Damien: Seele, because he likes doing big damage.

You mentioned recently that you’ve done a lot of healing in ffxiv - I wanna get more into tanking so I was wondering, what are some of the main things you see tanks doing wrong?

I'm only recently learning to tank at the behest of my boyfriend but I've healed for him for long enough to know what's good tanking and what's shit tanking. This is more advice than anything else i think

1 - if your healer looks and acts like a cat that's just been dunked in water and is quivering and throwing up everywhere, ask what pull sizes they want or adjust in a manner that gives them (and by proxy both you and the rest of the party) a better experience. examples of this being; they are in on level gear. they are in baby artifact gear. you have just died to a pull that you should have been able to survive.

additionally, if you die and the healer dies and everything has gone to shit please god wait for the healer to get back BEFORE pulling the next pack. THIS APPLIES TO WAR TOO BTW. I KNOW YOU GUYS ARE HEALERS NOW BUT SHAKE IT OFF AND BLOODWHETTING ARE NOT A GOOD SUBSTITUTE FOR A HEALER ALL OF THE TIME.

2- we recently ran into a tank in the 6.2 dungeon who Did Not Mitigate because "[the healer] was doing fine and i wanted to let them shine" NO!!! I Want To DPS I Will Kill You If You Make Me Hardcast Cure II. A healer should be damaging in addition to healing, if you don't do your mitigation rotations and let them do all the work you're only doing half a job and the damage you'll gain from slacking like this isn't worth the goodness that shall be drained from your soul.

3- in situations where you are co-tanking, wait to turn on your stank (tank stance) until the mt has built up enough aggro to avoid fighting for you with aggro (usually its like 30 seconds into the fight if memory serves) if you are fighting for aggro and switch halfway through the fight without it being a proper tank swap (forced by mechs) then it becomes a lot harder to effectively heal whilst maintaining dps output.

4- vuln stacks don't do as much harm to tanks as to the rest of the party but it's still Very Stressful when a tank has 6 of them for No Good Reason. ple ase

5- asked my tank bf (kissing him btw) for some advice and he was like. face enemies north for the most part (AWAY FROM THE PARTY) and move with intention (dont wiggle about too much) or else your meelees with positionals (ninja gets the third part of their meelee combo at level 34 ish which is a positional, its something that should be considered regardless of content that you're running)

6- this might be a crystal thing but in alliance raids B tends to mt feel free to ask in alliance chat if anyone else wants to mt though

7- IF YOU'RE NOT WEARING A FUNNY OR SLUTTY GLAM YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!! GET THAT PUSSY AND OR COCK OUT. PUT ON THE CHOCOBOBHEAD. people will be more willing to forgive your mistakes if you're just a little guy im deadly serious a funny tank that fucks up more will get more leeway than one who takes themselves too seriously

8- HAVE. A CHAT MACRO FOR YOUR INVULNS. I BEG OF YOU . I NEED TO KNOW WHEN YOU POP LIVING DEAD SO I CAN STOP HEALING YOU. I don't really need to know holmgang but i like knowing when people crank their hogs. I NEED TO KNOW WHEN YOU HALLOWED GROUND SO I CAN DPS. I WILL ALREADY KNOW WHEN YOU SBD BUT BY GOD PLEASE TELL ME WHEN IT ENDS. hallowed ground and holmgang are invulns that you can panic pop without your healer killing you for the most part.

9- there are required tank lbs but people in party tend to yell abt them. a12n, sosex and esn are the ones that come to mind and their timing is also Usually yelled at you by chat. dont be afraid to ask abt it. never be afraid to ask.

the main things i think though are like you set the pace of the dungeon. the bus waits for you because you are the bus. if a healer wants to pull bigger and you're not comfortable with it then don't! I am a healer who enjoys hard and fast pulls and loves danger and loves last minute heals, i would be a dick to impose that on everyone. the worst tanks are those who don't consider the rest of the party, as with every role in this game.

and as with everything else, i havw faith in you and fucking up is entirely normal and expected. you're gonna do great

What do you think of the post-god era? I know it's been touched on-- specifically in the context of Aoife, and how she was a little under 10 when the gods left-- but do you have any thoughts on how it's impacted the world? imo i would love to hear more about how its changed society and impacted people personally (especially because its so recent) but I do understand why it hasn't especially been talked about at length yet. though, i would love to hear about the gods leaving from the perspective of a fey patron :0)

Hiii! Sorry it's taken so long, this was a really interesting ask to answer, it's very bulletpoint-y but I hope it makes some kind of sense (I love your art btw 🥰)

Even the idea of a post-god era in a genre that's often so closely linked to the existance and interaction with gods is fascinating. This particularly because it was a very sudden violent disconnect, rather than the gods' power dwindling over time.

I'd love something exploring that moment, what that was like for the people who had an idea of what was happening (like the Tsarina) and for everyone else who had no idea. Or like in-universe speculation about what happened and why. (I'm assuming what actually happened wouldn't be public knowledge cos the main cast of Fate would have probably been murdered by an angry mob or forced to flee the continent.)

I'm really interested in how the Tsarina in particular dealt with everything, she trusted the Maidens/SoS to handle the situation and they didn't do what she hoped they would. Now she has to do all her usual duties, manage an empire that's just lost all the clerics and most of the magical healing, is probably going though something of a religion crisis, while dealing with the loss of her own powers. It would have been so easy for her to punish them (especially if she knows Rem's still around) but they're probably the only people qualified to deal with the repercussions (gods sending their avatars etc) (someone write a 15k fanfic about this please)

Also how did that affect people's faith, because the everyday person isn't a cleric who lost everything, was there a decline in believers? Did the temples start losing their congregation or did in not affect normal people enough to damage their faith?

When Charity was introduced, a healer from Caer Leona, she said she lost her power and faith when the gods left. Ten years later she's regained her faith and some power. If the gods are still blocked from the mortal realm how??? Did Charity regain power through sheer force of her faith? Are the gods returning? Or are the Mother and Father, fey-that-are-gods and gods-that-are-fey, reaching out to their followers in a fey way rather than a godly way? I'm curious.

World-wise the loss of clerics would have been devastating especially for healthcare (I remember in the finale there being a lot of discussion on the impact destroying fate would have on magical healing, and the decision that it might be ok because there would still be bards/druids etc who can heal.) Anything that taught healing that didn't rely on gods probably recieved loads of funding.

Ranna mentioned more fey activity, more sightings as if the fey knew something was going to happen. I wonder how much they knew about everything, how much they've started influencing the mortal world since then.

Anyway, I can't wait to learn more about The Consequences in future episodes.

i get my character now i think!! lou is self-serving but not cruel. his concern for himself also extends to his party, because he sees them as his only way of survival. that's why he chooses to co-operete with the others when he can- like sticking with laezel when she's interrogating the tiefling somewhat... harshly lol

but also, he's not cruel to the point where he lets random people die. if it's too out of his way, he might not rush in to save them (like helping tieflings out of the druid grove). if he thinks he will also benefit, he will intervene and help. like halsin for example, the party is on their way to save him. not because lou is a hero who wants to save the grove, but because he thinks halsin will be able to help him. he doesnt care that much about the situation with the druids- but also he wont just let them kill tiefling children when he sees it happening, because that's just cruel*. he just wont go out of his way to escort them out to safety, he thinks he can kill two birds with one stone if he saves halsin anyway. so that's not cruel in his mind

*just realized that this point can also be connected to the fact that he's a drow... druids would kill him in the same situation too. (they even show aggression right away when they see him) so he ofc doesnt trust their judgement that much- especially after seeing that dead drow on nettie's room lol. i also found the underground caves with lolth's cult (? idk the lore that much yet) so i wonder how this will fold out for him. he's not following lolth so im expecting aggression towards him even tho he's a drow too? i havent explored the caves that much yet because i dont wanna die lmaooo

he will intervene with the goblin's death penalty, because she has information that he can use. he wont free her tho, doesnt necessarily trust her innocence. and he got the needed info, so he will figure it out himself. you know. things like that.

the only action he regrets doing / doesnt align with this way of thinking was those 2 people and their absolution thing. he wanted to get to the bottom of this "absolution" and the way they call him a "true one", because that would benefit him. but then his words got one of them killed for no reason- he was just trying to deceive them into giving more info and help. so that was a sad situation...

i will try to play him with this consistency from now on! rn i have astarion, laezel, and gale in my party. i feel like we need a healer/supporter in the party tho so im not sure if i will stick with gale :( i like him but might switch back to shadowheart until i get them to level-up. maybe after the level-up, i can reconsider based on their new abilities idk.... i still havent recruited karlach btw lmao im on my way!! feels like i will really like her too !! - btw just remembered my whole party is dumb of ass if i leave gale. that's a concern too tbh lol

astarion is proving to be more than just my favored blorbo tho, he's so good at so many skills i favor and REALLY useful in combat with how i play this game lmao. he basically cleared out all the goblins waiting to ambush us on top of roofs!! i mean gale was a help too, but my ranger and fighter wasnt that fitting for a more discreet way of fighting lol. and that's my fave way of combat so far tbh (obviously it cant be used throughout a boss fight or something lol, just for small things like this) so im keeping him FOREVER tbh he's never leaving the party

The different types of Slytherins.

Okay, look. I think there is different types of Slytherins, and the Black sisters represent it all.

Andromeda left her family for love,

Bellatrix was cruel, and loved to inflict pain and torture people,

And Narcissa defied the Dark Lord for love.

But all three were, besides being pure-blood, proud and intelligent women, with a strong mind and a strong self-preservation instinct.

The "Bellatrix type" of slytherin is the most seen in the books because Harry faces the DE and/or Voldy in every book BUT !

What about the OTHER Slytherins ?!

From the year Andromeda first attended Hogwarts (1964) to the year Snape graduated (1979), more or less 140 students were sorted into the Slytherin house, so why isn't there much MORE DEs? I see so many ppl thinking that all Slytherins where evil, but why ? Where are those evil people you're talking about ?

It's seems that there is like 20 (at most! And not only Slytherins) active DEs in Voldy's inner circle, maybe more, among the 140 previously mentioned, and even considering that half of them became DEs, what about the other half ?

I assume they was way more Narcissa Type (NT) than Bellatrix TYPE (BT), and a very few Andromeda Type (AT).

All BT joined the DEs because, hey, they think they're the only true wizards worth using magic : pure blood, well breed, knows a lot about all type of magic, loves darks arts, and deeply believe that everyone else is inferior or deserves to die.

That includes Mulciber, Dolohov, Crabbe, Goyle and Malefoy. Btw, being a BT is more about being cruel/blood thrust than being clever.

They're rich, egocentrics pure-bloods, and you'll find them in high position in the ministry or running very lucrative inherited legal businesses which hides inherited less legal businesses.

All AT turned their back to all of this bullshit because they met someone "not worthy" they deeply loved or cared about who changed their pov about who's worthy or not. Also, they supposedly fought Voldy out of sight, by giving DEs wrong informations when they asked, leading them to traps, and be very good at "hide and seek". Self-preservation is one of the Slytherin's traits (the most important imo), and probably why they don't really like nor befriend Gryffindors.

I would put Slugghorn in this type of Slytherin, since he doesn't seem to care about blood, Théodore Nott who's been out of sight since COS, and Drago Malefoy at the very end.

They are very good at potion and spells, but not in a very creative way. They can be healers or potioneer (potionist ? What's that the right word ?), but more in an executive position.

The NT is the most common, since we know that every wizard or witch who think they're better than everyone is sorted into Slytherin. That includes the muggle-born and half-blood Slytherins. MB and HB who are sorted into Slytherins are those who's muggles relatives became violent to because of their magic (but this is another point I may write about in another post) and becoming proud of it was self-preservation instinct (you can escape your family but not your true self).

They are the most dangerous type : They're the most likely to turn against Voldemort and his followers (or anyone) if one of the ones they care about the most (said friend, lover, child) is threatened or worst, endangered, by any of them. But the important part there, is that they will do it in order to destroy the threat (not just stop it or escape from it) and in a way that no one will know where the betrayal comes from, using all the weapon they can find (even muggles ones).

They agree with Voldy's ideas, but won't necessarily get involved in his business, since they don't have the blood thrust of the BT and prefer using their brains rather than violence.

Besides Narcissa, Snape is in this (not so obvious at first but didn't joined the DEs out of blood thrust and ya know, saving his best friend), Blaise Zabini, Regulus Black and Lucius Malicious at the veeeeeeery end.

They can be very good healers (st mungo), and creative researchers (department of secrets, spells, potions).

Last point : you're no one to a Slytherin unless they say so, because letting someone know they likes/loves you is allowing you to know you they can be vulnerable and you become a potential danger.

a/n - i’ve had a ton of genshin brainrot lately, so i decided to write about it!! i’m a zhongli main btw >:)

KUROO

- Bennett

Kuroo really likes playing support characters. His team always includes Bennett and Zhongli, who he can’t survive without. His Bennett is built as a healer/dps, though healing isn’t his top priority. He finds it absolutely hilarious when Bennett gets hit in the head during his idle animation, but teared up while doing his hangout event </3

ATSUMU

- Klee

Chaotic child + chaotic twin, what could possibly go wrong? He loves her playstyle and is obsessed with setting things on fire. Surprisingly, he does a ton of damage because artifact farming is fun for him. He always brings her into the crimson witch domain and messes around while his teammates do all the hard work.

OSAMU

- Ningguang

He has an insane amount of respect for her after the Jade Chamber scene and now mains her. He definitely believes she should be five star and feeds her like a queen <33

BOKUTO

- Beidou

They both have big tiddies. He also loves claymores and electro users, meaning his team is Beidou, Razor, Keqing, and Eula. How he passes his ascension quests is a true mystery, considering he doesn’t build any support characters.

SAKUSA

- Chongyun / Xiao

Omi used to main Chongyun but switched to Xiao later on. Even though he won’t admit it, he’s super attached to both characters and uses them regularly. He has insane luck and always pulls good characters, but prefers to spend time working on his teapot. He made special areas for all the characters he likes <3

OIKAWA

- Diona

He loves her spunk and is a huge fan of bow characters. He tries his best to ice bridge with her (he hates Kaeya), but always falls and makes his teammates save him. Honestly he just runs around and picks flowers. Playing with him isn’t the smartest choice.

IWAIZUMI

- Noelle

This man is enamored with geo characters. He wants to collect them all like Pokémon because he doesn’t really understand elemental reactions and prefers to stick with physical/geo dmg. He treats Noelle like a queen, though. He always carries his co-op team in every domain, even if geo is debuffed.

MATSUKAWA

- Zhongli

Matsukawa loooves using his ult to kill random hilichurls and scare other players in co-op. He does decent damage, but really just keeps him for his shield and comedy. All the squirrels, boars, and random slimes better watch out before Issei’s Zhongli wants order.

HANAMAKI

- Lisa

Boobs + her Japanese voice. That’s it.

DAICHI

- Jean

He admires her strength and perseverance and relates to being an overworked older sibling. He bought her summer outfit because he’s way too attached to Jean. He also always puts Barbara on the same team as her because siblings <3 he got Jean because he didn’t know the difference between the standard and event banners and spent all his primos on the wrong one.
