PSA: Samsung microSDs with A2 rating don't support Command Queuing (CQ) on Raspberry Pi 5

All Samsung microSD Cards with an A2 rating currently ( 12/2024 ) don't support the new SD Command Queuing feature of the Raspberry Pi 5 devices.

The CQ feature is enabled by default in the latest Raspberry Pi OS images ( tested on 2024-11-19-raspios-bookworm ) and needs to be deactivated for EVO Select, EVO Plus, PRO Plus and PRO Ultimate Cards.

Adding the line:

dtparam=sd_cqe=off

in the file

/boot/firmware/config.txt

does the trick.

You wouldn’t suppose you’d know how to get a Jedi to go to the med-bay? General Kenobi has been avoiding his health checks for a month or two now and the medics are about to resort to stunning him.

I figured as you are of his lineage you might know- or at least have a trick you could try that doesn’t require stunning as I have noticed that the General really doesn’t respond well to it..

In this scenario there is no hope. My only advice is that if you want to stun him, skyguy cooked up a special stunner which is maybe four times regular strength? I wouldn’t recommend using it on regular people. It works in Master Kenobi though!

If he’s really really injured he has been known to once or twice fall for the ‘do it for me 🥺’ approach. One particularly dire time I know Anakin pretended he was hurt so Master Kenobi would ‘escort’ him to the mebay. That was a fun one. He usually mellows out once he’s there. Oh! And it might be the stark white and impersonalness that scares him. Paint the medbay blue and offer him a lollipop if nothing works.

I woke up with a headache and decided to make myself feel worse cause that’s how I vibe. I might try bringing back six sentence Sunday which I used to do once upon a time. Might be fun to post some wips or little blurbs. Though it’ll probably be Six-ish Sentence Sunday cause I can never stick to any sort of guidelines. Here’s the blurb I wrote. Very much based on this fanart because it’s been stuck in my brain and it makes me feel all the feels.

It’s gone. Cody can’t believe it. Where Obi-Wan’s eyes had always resembled the bright sky, now all he sees reflected in them is that of a tumultuous sea. Storm clouds have smothered the light of this man and it breaks something inside of Cody.

The blaster in Obi-Wan’s hand shakes and he struggles to keep it lifted as a barrier between them. The look of anguish and fear upon his face makes it difficult for Cody to breathe. This man…

This man had been so full of life and hope and light that he had unknowingly pulled Cody into his orbit with his bright laugh and witty banter and utterly brilliant mind. Now, as Cody watches Obi-Wan’s eyes widen in a panic, he realizes that Obi-Wan is just a shadow of what he once was. And Cody knows without a doubt, that he’s to blame.

Me lying about stepping away until an idea strikes my brain. -.-

Think when I get to included the Fade into my fics I'm going to make it a mix of things.

1. It’s a maintanece time limit(that'll become a virus of sorts) for the newer/lastest generations of ADVENT Hybrids the Elders made in response to a series of defections that happened in a close span of time. Just applying something they already do with ADVENT citizens with the diseases they “cure” and sure they stay cured with regular Gene Clinic check ups(something from the book). So as long as the Soldiers are getting their regular check ups, everything is fine. But if they defect, it'll take some years for the degeneration to kick in. Which the Elders want as the affected will be the perfect hidden bombs that can go off and infect sizable clans in short order. Won't be a perfect way of wiping out the clans depending on the clone lines having some slight variations but would weaken them.

2. The Elders have been to who knows how many worlds and who knows how many things they had gathered and lost track of. So pulling another thing from the book(crystal/fungal contagion affecting wildlife leading to quarantine zones) is it’s some alien virus that so far just affecting the Hybrids for now.

Also forgot about The Lost. Yeah, that can be another source of the Elders machinations having unintended side effects.

Edit: And just remember one of those investigation pop-ups and you find a disease-ridden Sectoid. So there's that too!

3. Somewhat missed genetic errors from all the gene manipulation and cloning the Elders did finally crashing against the wall. Maybe something from another species is clashing with human DNA and causing the issues?

Its hard to actually believe everything the Bible says though, because there are some stories that contradict with things I'm sure Heaven would find deplorable. Like selling your daughters into slavery as said in Exodus. Or stoning someone to death if they utter God's name in vain as said in Leviticus. Or how about that passage in Numbers talking about killing males and pregnant women before taking the virgin girls for themselves. Yeah, I believe most of the Bible was written by men to excuse terrible actions that they've committed by writing them as being done in the name of God and I highly doubt any of the things they claim were ever actually heard from God himself. Seems ridiculous that God would float down and tell only a certain group that people with any sort of physical deformity could never approach or worship him. So yeah, fairly certain a lot of it is pure bullshit.
