2. Anything that you'd like to write but feel like you're unable to?

I have a couple long fic ideas that I'm in love with, one civilian!Tim JayTim and one Stray!Tim JayTim, but I've never written anything as plot driven or as long as they would be. Especially right now after an unplanned several month writing hiatus. when will my husband (ability to write) return from the war (writers block)

4. Do you have any OCs? Do you have a story for them?

Not really, no. Whenever I get super into a fandom/show/film/etc I like to imagine little self inserts of myself in those universes for funsies, but the only truly original characters I've created have been for short films and stageplays.

7. Your favourite ao3 tag.

I don't have a go-to tag that I add when searching for fics, but the top three suggestions for additional tags in my ao3 bookmarks are hurt/comfort, anal sex, and Tim Drake Needs a Hug. so. i feel like that says a lot.

It feels odd that this even needs to be a post, but since a popular creator reblogged of one of my microfics and it subsequently gained traction (that creator has since removed the reblog because of this ↓ which is truly OK and completely their prerogative) But in that vein, I feel like I need to make an introduction and make something clear!

Hi! I’m Green! And on here we go by the old fandom rules of ship and let ship (Dl;DR, pro-ship or literally whatever variation you want to call it doesn’t matter to me)!

Seriously, let people write whatever they want. I for one, have specific triggers, so there are certain ships and content that I cannot, will not interact with. Ever. But does that mean that I’ll go out of my way to put down others who do for whatever reason? Nope. Never.

I have a very specific favorite comment format and it's so fucking needy of me so no pressure to anyone reading to comment like this!!! but my favorite kind of comment is 1000000% when it's formatted like this:

["Snippet of something I wrote"] the commenter's reaction to that specific bit

Sincerely, I've said it before and I'll say it again: in the least creepy way possible, I would watch everyone react to every line of my fic if I could. Sometimes I just write a line I'm really proud of and I want it to be the line that makes someone laugh or shout or tear up and I love when people tell me what parts made them feel things!!! Also sometimes people point out lines that I didn't think twice about, ones that just came naturally, but they still make people lose it and I love that just as much!!

a close second favorite kind of comment is just when people leave me a really, really long comment about the things they loved in the chapter. Seriously, every time I get a comment that's an essay it makes me want to never stop writing 😂 Basically, much like my Jason, I'm a sucker for praise.

🦋what are you most insecure about when you post a fic?

Oh noooooooo I have to be vulnerable??? Fuck. Okay, fine.

I'm usually the most insecure about the way the tone of the scenes flow together. I'm a bit of a freak about the plotline? And when I say 'a bit of a freak', I mean I have a full-size corkboard with all of the plotpoints of Know Yourself on it. Like I'm Charlie in that one gif from It's Always Sunny with the insane red string conspiracy theory board. Below is the Evidence in case you thought I was joking (I blurred out everything that was a spoiler, don't worry. Or sorry):

...Yeah. It's a lot. Sometimes I just really struggle with feeling like the moods/tone flows from scene to scene. If they're mad at each other, I need it not to feel like they're forgiving each other too easily. If they have a huge argument, they can't just go back to exactly how it was before (looking at you, chapter 7 of Know Yourself, which is giving me an absurd amount of trouble). Thus, the corkboard. It lets me quickly look at everything I've already written (without reading all *squints* 50k words I've posted, jesus fucking christ) and figure out if everything I'm working on makes sense with what came before that.

And yeah, it is a lot of work and dedication for the silly little fanfics I write, but it's sort of like a puzzle to me? It's satisfying to untie all the tangled ideas I have and make them into something pretty.

That said, TimKon never gives me as much trouble as JayTim. I should really post some of my TimKon stuff lol

Oh my god, this was cruel. You may not have known this was cruel, but this was cruel. Because the last time you sent me an ask, I knew I had a ton of ideas and I teased like two of them, but since then, the JayTimWeek prompts went up. And I promised myself I wasn't going to write something for every day, but then I blinked and I had ideas for every single day.

So, what to do? Do I post a snippet from one of my JayTim week WIPs? Do I post a minor spoiler for Know Yourself that you asked about in one of your comments? Do I drop all 6k words of chapter 1 of a long TimKon fic that's been sitting in my drafts for months? Do I tease an idea that I'm submitting for a zine? Do these questions count as an answer to the prompt, because I can't decide which I'm the most excited about?

No, I'm not that mean 😂 Here are two of the lines I'm most proud of from the next chapter of Know Yourself, which are in the same scene but not next to each other and don't spoil anything:

Jason was the one who had overreacted in the first place, filing Tim’s teeth to a sharp point in the hopes that he’d bite.

But then he fucked it all up. He’d done what he did best: tried to freeze over his white-hot anger, and still managed to be surprised when the ice cracked and steam shot out.

Thanks for the ask!!! I love doing these so thank you for making me answer and giving me an excuse to rest from writing (although @lovetimdrake is going to send me a meme in like 3 hours bullying me (rightfully) about how I'm supposed to be betaing their fic lol)

I'm dying. hahaha. If I am drawing something I like (ships or characters I like), I don't do warm ups because I tend to use that as a way to procrastinate. Like, if I'm dreading doing a painting or something, I draw some stony or jaytim sketches for fun then only get to work at like 3am or something. XD

30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated

I don't particularly see myself as someone really good but sometimes it's kinda sad when you spend days on a drawing and it gets like 3 likes or something. XD

I don't mind so much if it's a commission but on personal work or certain fandoms I'm active in, it's kinda sad. I mean, it could be the subject matter or maybe the time posted that it doesn't get noticed or maybe no one actually likes it? But sometimes you get lucky and someone popular reblogs your stuff and you're like, huh. Did I do something wrong in that last ones? It's just kinda nice to get your work out there and get appreciated, I guess. :D

Marinette rolled her eyes. "I think I could take them."

Jason smirked. "Sweetheart, you grew up in Paris, Gotham is a whole 'nother ball game."

"Whatever you say Jay." She walked to the kitchen. "Want some cookies? It feels like a stress baking kind of night."

"Sure, but I have to go out for a while later. I promised my brother that I would help him with something tonight."

26. “I got you a present,” Tim said as he landed next to Jason on the roof.

"What is it?" Jason asked looking down his scope towards the building he was staking out. His helmet was next to him and he was just wearing a domino.

Tim walked over and held out a flash drive. "Information."

Jason looked up at him. "You don't usually hand out free favors, what do you want?"

Tim fidgeted for a moment. "Do you want the information?"

"Depends, who's it on?" Jason countered.

"Your current case. I tracked down Whitehead's main operatives." Tim continued to hold out the drive.

"What do you want?" Jason repeated the earlier question.

"It's something easy." Tim was avoiding looking at him.

"Baby Bird, tell me what you want so I can decide if the information is worth it." Jason rolled his eyes and looked back down the scope. He could hear Tim fidget again and closed his eyes for a moment. "It can't be that bad."

"I want you to share my heat with me," Tim whispered it out in one breath and Jason almost didn't catch it.

Once he realized exactly what the kid had said he whipped his head around to look at him. "What?"

"You heard me." Tim looked at the ground, not making eye contact with him.

"You're a 'mega?" Jason asked in disbelief.

Tim nodded once.

"And you want me to spend your heat with you?" Jason asked.

Tim nodded again.

"Why not, Wing? Wouldn't a safe 'mega packmate be better?" Jason asked.

"He's off-world," Tim replied.

"So... let me get this straight." Jason finally put the rifle down so he could fully turn to look at Tim. "You're a 'mega, you're about to go into heat, and instead of asking someone from your pack to spend it with you, you're asking an Alpha who not even three years ago almost killed you. Did I get that right?"

Tim nodded again. "Won't spend it with B, Wing is off-world, and Black Bat and I aren't close enough to spend a heat with."

"What about blondie?" Jason asked.

Tim shook his head once. "We don't mesh well when I'm in heat."

"You think I'm closer to you than BB?" Jason asked, still trying to figure this out.

Tim blushed red. "I-I, well it's just that-"

Jason cut him off realizing that this was a lot more than Tim started with. "Holy shit, really?" He got up and walked over to Tim. "Tell me the truth Baby Bird, why ask me?"

Tim continued to look away from him. "I just... I trust you..."

"No there's something more to it." Jason tilted Tim's head up. "Tell me the truth, how long have you wanted to spend your heats with me?"

Tim licked his lips and then leaned his head into Jason's touch. "Since I knew you were alive," he whispered and Jason drew him into a kiss.

38. “You fainted…straight into my arms. You know, if you wanted my attention you didn’t have to go to such extremes.” Bruce was holding his youngest carefully.

Marinette laughed and tried to stand but he didn't let her go. "I'm fine! Really."

"Marinette, you fainted." Bruce gave her a stern look.

"Just a little." She tried to defend herself.

Bruce made a face so she knew that he had raised an eyebrow under the cowl. "You fell off the roof, I had to catch you."

"Tikki wouldn't have let me get hurt." He let her go and stand on her own two feet.

"Marinette, when was the last time you ate real food?" Bruce asked her already expecting the answer.

"What classifies as 'real'?" She did finger quotes around the word.

"Nope, if you have to ask that then you're going home." Bruce turned her towards the manor. "You can go the easy way or the hard way but you are going."

"Finnneeee. But I'm helping on the stakeout tomorrow." She crossed her arms holding her ground.

"If you pass a blood sugar test you're more than welcome to." Bruce conceded. "So go home and eat."

She gave him a two finger salute. "Yes, sir."

Bruce sighed as he watched her tracker make it's way to the cave. He needed to keep better tabs on her and Tim's sleeping and eating patterns.

Daminette, cat café AU. Make it sad and I will haunt you

Damian smiled softly as he walked into the new cat cafe that had opened up in Gotham. It was run by a french couple and he genuinely enjoyed their presence. They were about his age so it was a little weird that they had traveled from France to Gotham of all places, but who was he to say what was weird? He still runs the rooftops with his family.

"Hello! Welcome in!" Marinette called from behind the counter and Damian snickered when he saw Adrien trying to explain to a couple that, yes, they could eat in the cat room, but no, they shouldn't eat the parfait around Lunar because she liked to steal yogurt.

"Your usual today?" Marinette asked him.

"Yes please." Damian looked around to see that the place was reasonably busy, but his normal table was empty except for Coal who was undoubtedly waiting for his treats.

"You spoil him you know," Adrien said, looking at Damian's line of sight. "He's been yowling anytime someone else tries to sit there."

"That's because he has good taste." Damian raised an eyebrow.

He smiled hearing Marinette's laugh. "Go ahead and head over. Here are his treats, I'll bring your coffee over when it's ready."

Adrien followed him over to open the door to the cat room to help make sure that no one made a break for it. "You know... If you wanted to ask her out she'd say yes."

"What?" Damian paused and looked at Adrien. "I thought-"

Adrien shook his head. "She's like my sister."

"Oh, well then." Damian looked back at where she was making his drink. "You're sure?"

"Abso-pawsu-lutley." Adrien laughed at his own terrible pun. "Coal, your favorite person is here."

Coal got up and stretched then looked at Damian and started to purr.

"I'll leave you to it!"

Damian sat there waiting for his drink and feeding Coal some of his treats.

"Here you go, Damian." Marinette placed his latte in front of him.

"Marinette, I was wondering, would you like to go on an outing with me?" He stumbled over his words and internally cringed. That was a horrible way to phrase it.

She just smiled at him though. "You mean like a date?"

"Yes," Damian nodded. "I would enjoy your company at dinner if you would like."

"Pick me up at seven?" Was her response.

"That sounds perfect."

hi!! this is a cautionary post for the batman fans that may or may not find me as i reblog shit here and there! ill make a new one for every fandom phase i go through but this is its first iteration!

1: im 18! ill sometimes reblog explicit text posts or suggestive content. this wasnt a problem before, and it might stop being a problem at some point, but ive found good content of this type as of late, and i just cant say no to it. (hamilton joke, etc etc.)

2. i dont know the terminology, really, but i do support some problematic ships here or there. er, well. hrm. how do i say 'romanjay is fucked up but they intrigue me' and 'i will never reblog or like anything involving bruce and the other younger bats but ill scroll past it without any real disdain'? basically ive settled for a vibe of 'live and learn, chill out and hush up'. i do enjoy batfam content (though i dont exactly consider them family, but thats a whole different can of worms) but no matter what i consume on my end (however guiltily) ill never put anything that joins the batfam and romance in the same concept. i will, however, reblog some of the bats together. mostly steph with any of them, as to me, shes kind of free game (in that she is Even More not "part of the family", even if shes still bruces kid-again, different can of worms) and a LOT of jason ships. and dick/tim, mostly because jayde and them for some reason go together hand in hand in a lot of fics. SPEAKING OF WHICH. thats one of my problematic favs; i adore jason/slade in ways i will never be able to communicate. yes, the age gap is Like That. it feels irrelevant for them, though, and i could not explain to you the Why even if i tried. ill also post jaytim, maybe jaydick, and. erm. no thats kinda it. damian is off limits to me, also.

3. good news, ill probably only ever make jayde content! and found family essenced batfam content, if its shit i actually want the world to see. jaytim is a maybe, at best, and to me they arent even exactly brothers. regardless, i want to make this post to inform people who come to my blog that i consume/create content they find distasteful. and for my last point,

4. ok the first version of this point was way more. combative. which was exactly what i dont want to be. related, this part is about my ResponseTM. and the reason for this post. i dont want to be loud about what i like because i know people find it bad. like...like enjoying noncon, and omegaverse, stuff like that. i get that people dont like those the way i do sometimes. and i dont want people to think im something im not. if you want to run for the hills the second you see this post, then alright! thank you for your time! i dont want you all to think im better than i am. if you think i suck, thats ok, i just dont want you to think i suck after liking me a lot for a long time, because that sucks like, 3 times harder. you know? im still getting over a guilty conscience for liking any of this stuff myself, and ill gladly explain myself, but its, of course, none of my business if you hate me. thats your job, ill be me, and i wont try to make you not hate me unless you want me to. capiche? sick.

Tim snorts, “Knock out and relocate the half-kryptonian. This is without a doubt the stupidest plan you’ve ever had." He catches Jason's right nipple in his teeth and tugs until his breath stutters, "Of course I’m in.”

“Good,” Jason rumbles, rocking his hips up, forcing Tim back into the doorjam, “'cause I’ve got ta gettcha warmed up.”

"Hood-" Tim shakes his head, watches as Jason realizes Tim's no longer keeping pace and stops.

He shakes his head again, "I'm sorry, what?"

Here's the thing about Wes Weston- I think that Danny loves that there's someone he can troll the shit out of without worrying about hiding. Like even w Sam and Tucker there's the "yeah we gotta keep it on the DL so no one gets kidnapped or killed etc" but w Wes Danny doesn't have to think bc no one believes Wes!

My #1 post of 2022

The reason I don't generally like making Jack or Janet physically abusive is because I don't want to contribute to the perception that neglect isn't abuse enough on its own.

There's also the additional flavor that is a huge difference between the feeble "but they don't hit me so it's not abuse" and the Tim that I have where it's not just the absence of violence and company. Tim's parents love him when they're around, will teach him and sit with him and play chess and Othello and rummy. Janet will teach him to appreciate the sharper things of finery and Jack will teach him the broad strokes of history and they'll share luxury and art and cuisine from around the world and he loves them.

But that doesn't change that they don't know him. The fun hours that cumulate to weeks or months out of a year doesn't erase the months and months of an empty brownstone, a cold manor, being left in an otherwise empty boys dorm at boarding school over holiday breaks until he learns to fake signatures. It doesn't discount the missed birthdays, achievements, milestones. The weeks and months without any contact at all because of a lack of service and time.

Tim loves his parents, they love him, and he soaks up their attention like a wilted flower soaks up sun and rain. But there's not enough for him.

It's a special kind of abuse, where Tim guilt trips himself more than his parents verbally would. He loves them, they have so much fun with him when they're around! They're never mean to him and they share so much, so why is he upset that they missed his birthday? They called the next week when they could! Why is he mad that he got a baseball glove his first day of high school rather than a send off? They're trying to encourage his social life and broaden his horizons!

He has rose tinted glass for them, and he cuts his fingers holding the edges to look through.

Then Janet dies, and Jack Drake comes home after being in a coma and neither of them can match their image of the other to their imagination.

And still, Tim will think it was different than in his childhood. That he wasn't abused in his childhood even though he grew up incredibly touch starved, even though he obsesses quietly over making sure utility payments aren't shoved off just because he doesn't have to worry about budgeting for them, even though he has a triple-locked physical-and-therefor-unhackable notebook with a constantly updated list of the hobbies of friends he cares about, adds calendar reminders with extra notifications to important dates.

What are your opinions on shipping? Ah, the all important question these days. On here I like to go by old fandom rules of ship and let ship. I’m a notorious multi-shipper and you’ll notice on here that I’ll be just as likely to reblog a romantic ship as I am to reblog content with those two characters being shown in an entirely platonic relationship! We are blessed in the DC world to have a multiverse at our fingertips and I like to make the most of that. For my part, I will do my very best to tag appropriately so you don’t run across couples that you aren’t a fan of (that’s of course taking into account that you have your filters turned on!)

You only have one story updating, are you working on others? I’m always concocting other stories up in my head to revisit later but unfortunately (or fortunately) I am an entirely single minded creature and incapable of writing two stories at once (trust me I’ve tried 😔) On the plus side, that means I never give up on stories and I always see them to the end! But it does make my lil writing heart sad that I never have any content for Ship Weeks. But oh well, that just means I get to consume other authors’ amazing works rather than stressing about coming up with my own! But why a Jaytim story for your first posted fic? I could go on and on. The loss, the resentment, the angst, the pining, the growth... *BIG author sigh* There is just SO much potential and it has been so fun to explore especially in a setting like the YJ Cartoon where canon has been twisted on more than one occasion!
