I've had this for a while and idk if I'm actually going to do anything with it, so have these five sentences about Neil and Nara.

I've been thinking about their anatomy again and decided to try drawing skeletons from memory ehehe

Nate and Amon! Lol I need to work harder on my skeletal anatomy but this certainly gives an idea on how their skellies look! Nate's base form has four eyesockets. Freaky!

While Amon is relatively straightforward bone-wise, I got some yucky nervous system sketch below the cut for Nate:

Nathaniel, like most psychic variants, also has a big large brain that is more susceptible to complications from traumatic injury. And four eyeballs that are linked in pairs to each hemisphere of the brain. Shifters tend to have a lot more development in their parietal lobe, which deals with body input, body image, movement, spatial awareness, and a whole lot of other functions.

The spinal cord is also thicker in most shifters thanks to the additional influx of information that is processed. Both sides of his variation give him additional nervous input, allowing for him to be the extrasensory blue quadfocal elf man we know and love!

This is only one instance cause I have way too many thoughts about these underdeveloped NPCs to put into one coherent post but I'm thinking of Windsinger and Tidelord right now honestly. Like... they fought first. They came for each other's throats so hard they created a new god, born of their temporary disdain for each other. Do they regret it? Do they ever think of that? Does Windsinger even care that his brother has been gone, and that their last meaningful interactions together was a petty fight and a disappointed silence after their last-ditch effort in the World Pillar failed?

My shit is a huge fucking mess right now and I've been wanting to clean it for AGES but every fucking time I look at it I get immediately overwhelmed and avoid doing it. I haven't cleaned my room in over a year and it is such a huge fucking mess.

PLEASE I am begging people who have been in this sort of situation before to give any advice or tutorials they got. I am literally being pushed off the bed with how much crap is on here.

Sitting all day.

Listening to music at every waking hour.

Getting high.

Watching videos.

Talking online.

Eating copious amounts of pasta.

Drinking sugary beverages. Taking an ungodly amount of baths.

Not bothering to get dressed afterward and sleeping in my towel.

Sleeping for several hours longer than I 'should'. "I need to stop"

Hermes taking care of me/us/the body:

Resting (sitting).

Listening to music.

Getting high.

Watching funny videos.

Talking to friends.

Eating available food (pasta).

Drinking happy drinks (honey and coffee).

Taking even more baths.

okay I feel like I'm going to fail to express myself coherently here but who would I be if I didn't try

(someone who left this ask unanswered for an amount of time I don't want to know, is at least one answer to that question, but.)

anyway at one point I wrote a long post sort of breaking down what I think about jun wu/bai wuxiang's messy, messy feelings w/r/t xie lian, which is a whole tangle of hatred/weird possessiveness/desire/challenge/affection kind of all at the same time. xie lian is the mirror of himself. xie lian is a reminder of everything that was ruined. xie lian is a reminder of everything that he ruined. xie lian is a chance to make somebody else understand him by putting them through the same thing. xie lian is a chance to be proven wrong about his deep cynicism. xie lian is his enemy. he wants xie lian to suffer forever. he wants xie lian to be his friend. and so on. and it's very important to me that all of those things are true, simultaneously, and going on all the time.

and it is also important to me that xie lian clearly respects jun wu, and believes in him, and imagine how that feels if all of the above paragraph is going on, to have that guy looking at you, that guy specifically seeing you as the person you once were, when you were stupid, before everything went wrong. it's intoxicating. it's infuriating. he would like it to keep happening. he would like to destroy xie lian utterly. he wants to remake xie lian in his own image.

and I think he does genuinely believe in his own "I am making you suffer for your own good" story, at least on some level. he's helping xie lian speedrun jun wuxiang's own downfall! but xie lian won't be alone because he will have a helpful and supportive friend with him. :) and, you know, xie lian's feelings here are...not incidental exactly, but he'll understand eventually.

and obviously all of this is so horrifying for xie lian, who is the one suffering, who is the one being put through the wringer in a plan that he only partially understands because he doesn't have the full context.

there are just so many juicy possibilities to play with, in a relationship that is this toxic and power-dynamically fucked, is i guess what i'm getting at. which, you know. yummy.
