Trump Trade Round Up: Published 5/10/25
This isn't an actual trade deal. It's just a "Mission Accomplished" Banner propaganda type thing.
Yet more proof the tariffs are really about enriching Trump donors:

Economic Issues
India has one of the world's fastest-developing economies. It belongs to the group of developing nations that continually seek to strengthen their economic conditions. The enormous population of India presents a lot of difficulties that must be resolved for it to keep expanding. Yet, India confronts several economic issues, which we will address in this blog post. We'll talk about the main issues and toughest obstacles the Indian economy faces.
What are economic issues?
Economic issues refer to any difficulty in the economy that is concerned with the production of goods and services to meet the economy's endless desires through the use of scarce resources. In other words, a choice-making issue brought on by a lack of resources is typically referred to as an economic difficulty. It develops because humans have limitless demands but only a few ways to satisfy them.
Central problems of an economy
The production, distribution, and exchange of goods and services are the three core issues of an economy. Let's look at these issues: what to produce, how to produce, and for whom to produce. Doing so will help us identify the demands of society.
(I) What to produce?
This issue entails deciding which products should be created as well as how much of each product should be produced.
A nation must choose what types of commodities and services to produce as it has limited resources and cannot produce all goods.
For instance, if a farmer only has one plot of land available for farming, he must decide between growing wheat or rice.
(II) How to produce?
This problem determines which production method to use in the creation of the chosen goods and services.
There are primarily two production methods. Which are:
1) Capital-intensive approach (more reliance on machines)
2) Labor-intensive approach (more labor is employed)
Capital-intensive techniques encourage efficiency and expansion, whereas labor-intensive techniques generate employment.

(III) For whom to produce?
This topic is concerned with determining the types of people who will consume the goods, i.e., to produce goods for the rich or the poor.
Society is unable to fulfill everyone's needs. Hence, it must decide how much of the entire output of commodities and services should go to whom.
Furthermore, society must decide whether to produce luxury items or everyday goods. This distribution or ratio is closely related to the economy's purchasing power.
Causes of economic issues
Some of the primary causes of economic problems are listed below:
1. Endless human desires
Human beings have limitless wants and needs, so they can never be satisfied. A person will experience new cravings once their initial need has been met. Because of the limited resources available, the unending number of people's needs continues to grow.
2. Unavailability of resources
Resources like labor, land, and capital are not enough to meet demand. As a result, the economy is unable to satisfy everyone's needs.
3. Other uses
Due to a lack of resources, the same resources are employed for several reasons, and choosing among resources is consequently crucial. For instance, gasoline is used for running equipment, generators, and vehicles. Thus, the economy should now select one of the alternate applications.
Major challenges faced by the Indian economy
The Indian economy faces several ups and downs due to the following reasons:
1. Unemployment
Unemployment reflects the health of the economy. It is a condition in which an individual actively seeks employment but is unable to obtain work. Workers who are unemployed experience financial hardship, which harms their families, relationships, and communities. However, the level of poverty may rise as a result of little or no income, which would slow down economic development and progress.
2. Poor education
Many children in India are unable to receive a proper education because of poverty, unstable finances, or other resource shortages. Due to their lack of skills and intellectual capacity, these kids find it difficult to fit into social situations. As a result, they are unable to participate in the same activities as educated people due to the lack of resources that education generates.

3. Population density
The population density of India is among the greatest in the world. The major issue that the Indian economy faces is this population density combined with an infrastructure that cannot keep up with the population expansion. Besides, congestion emerges as a problem with increased population densities as more people begin to dwell in an area. Problems such as packed roads and transit congestion make it difficult for people to commute by public transportation, leading to people buying more vehicles, which then leads to other problems such as traffic jams and pollution.
4. Corruption
Another significant issue that the Indian economy faces is corruption. The economy is greatly inefficient and wasteful as a result of corruption. It causes plenty of social issues. Moreover, corruption functions as an ineffective tax on businesses, ultimately driving up production costs and lowering investment returns.
Conclusion
It is acknowledged that India needs to solve several economic concerns quickly to improve its economic situation. We must acknowledge the importance of education in addressing these problems if we want to overcome them. Hence, assist India's underprivileged folks in receiving a quality education because it is the responsibility of the educated person to inform others of the value of education. Keep in mind that India can develop more as we learn more about it!

gonna be harsh for a minute here. i can’t imagine what it would’ve been like for taylor to be on the eras tour, and instead of being celebrated, hearing about how she is some evil person for achieving these amazing things. ofc the breakup led to A Lot of Stuff, but staying would’ve been so damaging too. just thinking about how successful red tv/midnights were, but she was still feeling so down and felt the need to pull back and protect her relationship by not being “Too Big.” just glad that she is in a good place both professionally and personally and is supported instead of being put down.

jordie lives au where jordie becomes not like kaz but like one of those stiff, ignorant men of ketterdam who can’t see the connection between the barrel rats and the merchers, who dream of being one of the top dogs in the city but never reach it. that was the main aspect of his character, right? he wanted to be rich, but he was too ignorant to understand that the system was set to make the rich men richer and the poor men poorer. kaz was always the smart one, and so kaz will develop into the same infamous barrel thug he’d always been destined to be, and he would still hate pekka because, in a way, it was like jordie still died because of him. because of pekka, kaz saw his big brother’s weaknesses for the first time, and whether jordie lives or dies, kaz can’t help but hate him for his ignorance at the same time he loves the boy he remembers to be his doting big brother.

A crazy thing about Mouthwashing is that Pony Express lost communication with one of its freighters for months and didn’t send anyone to check.
A genuinely reputable company, or at the very least a decent one, would have sent someone, something out to check after about two weeks of silence. Two months is when the crew start questioning if they are even being looked for which implies they were already expecting it to take a while cause P.E just doesn’t care.
They don’t care about who they hire. They don’t care about the conditions they place their crew in or how safe the safety measures actually are. They just don’t care, made rules and regulations so they can care less and succeed in getting away with it with how little those ideas are discussed.
#back on remembering how little blame we give P.E very the real organizational problems that led to the interpersonal ones#there’s many facets to talk about MW in but it’s that people really down play the working class factor and that everyone on the ship are no#too far off from each other and you have to incorporate that into how things play out like the false prestige of being captain and curly#exudes creates this inflated idea he had unlimited capabilities to do much more when it’s clear he is ruled by the same restrictions just a#a slightly different angle same way Swansea as the mechanic can’t fix a vent not because it’s likely difficult but because he just lacks th#rescources and constant clearances needed so it’s a stagnant task#same way even when Anya gets to do nurse stuff it’s limited by what she is given#it’s all reflective about what they have to work with not being enough not even being barely enough#both on an aspect of actual tangible problems and subjective issues#something something boss makes a dollar the crew makes a dime curly makes a quarter and they all still struggle to stay above water#idk it’s very important and interesting and more tragic to me that they were all in the same bubble but their perceptions of each other and#priorities made them walk each other off and feel levels of resentment that should have been towards P.E like how Curly mainly resents them#but the others clearly take it to a more personal level like he got fired with them#is at the same point of starting over with nothing cause all his experience is worthless in a dying job field and all he got was papers tha#say he’s great at a role no one wants except for the one guy that forced him to exit#all of it for nothing all those years for nothing and he didn’t get to choose#I think it’s interesting that people assume curly got what he wanted when he wanted a choice in his future to continue as is or change just#because they feed so heavily into the birthday argument where a projecting Jimmy says Curly got what he wanted when curly corrects him ther#saying what he wanted was a life he didn’t have to escape from being forced out of something isn’t escape if you have no where to go or#everyone got to kinda make a choice whether we consider Jimmy crashing the ship or Anya telling Jimmy and later killing herself#curly being trapped feels so minimal cause it’s hard to recognize how he’s caged in by being the in between of the head and the crew he can#move freely through either as he has the power of boss to them and subordinate to the other he has to do what the company says to an extent#and hopefully mitigate anything the crew might do and the ‘perks’ of being captain are just different leashes he’s on with the crew and P.E#it’s like so hard to understand when you aren’t used to working in these type environments or have been in similar organizational power#structures but the crew being on the same sort of economic scale and class is so important to why and how they act the way they do#mouthwashing#mouthwashing game#pony express#curly mouthwashing#captain curly

I kind of hate all the comparisons between kipperlily and like. Those fuckass "affirmative action fucks me over I wish I was [minority] so it would be easier" people because none of that. Is what she said. She said the bad kids already had more experience with adventuring before they got to augefort and it meant they had an advantage. Which is true. Yeah Riz was lower-class but his mum was a COP. Riz, Kristen and Fig had parents who were heroes (Sandra-Lynn is an active ranger, Kristen's parents are paladins, Sklonda is a rogue), Adaine's family was super rich and politically influential, Fabian had both. Gorgug's the only one who wasn't actively at an advantage [IN THE CONTEXT OF HAVING PRIOR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT HEROISM] and she didn't have shit to say about him. Kipperlily was the first person in her family to try heroism, the bad kids are largely legacy admissions.
Additionally to the people comparing it to the "anti-affirmative action" crowd: do you know what affirmative action is. The bad kids didn't receive special consideration on their admissions to aguefort or scholarships or additional financial support or extended assessment times or anything. How could she be mad about affirmative action if none of these people received affirmative action. What they DID have was knowledge about their classes that started much earlier than high school, which is what Kipperlily said in her file that she thought grading should be adjusted for because she did not have that.
To me it's less like affirmative action and more like augefort is like an IQ test. They pretend that it's fair and objective, but you can be taught how to do those things from a younger age, and if your parents took the time to teach you pattern recognition and shit then you'll do better on an IQ test than someone who wasn't trained for it and everyone will act like that makes you innately smarter when it doesn't. It just means someone taught you how to do that earlier.
Barring Gorgug, every one of the bad kids had access to information about heroism and their class at a younger age than Kipperlily did, which primed them for success in their classes. Every one of them got additional information about mysteries from their families (and even direct battle-tactics training from Bill), Riz especially with getting classified info out of his mum. Kipperlily does not have hero relatives. She's the first in her family line to attend a hero school. She knew nothing about it before her first day, meanwhile Kristen was already the chosen of Helio, Adaine had already been attending the best wizard school in the country, Fabian had already spent his whole life training with his father, and Riz was already involved in solving mysteries using info and tactics he got from his parents.
They aren't necessarily "privileged" (except Fabian and Adaine), but Kipperlily didn't say they were, she said that in the specific context of attending a hero school they had a prior-knowledge advantage. Saying they didn't is like comparing the grades of a kid who's academic career started with preschool with a kid who didn't attend until middle school and acting like one of them wasn't better prepared.

The way most people talk about climate change we are led to believe we all have an equal part in creating the capitalist nightmare we live in, but that’s a lie. The unsustainable and extractive nature of capitalism grew directly from the ideological and material foundations of European colonization. We cannot hold the entire human species responsible for that. It’s victim blaming.
The vast majority of waste is produced by the same people and institutions who hold power. Fighting for our planet, the health of our land, our food, our homes, our communities, is where the fight against capitalism and white supremacy collide. Any fight for environmental justice must also be a fight for racial justice because BI&POC are the ones who disproportionately bear the weight of climate change.
White Settler Colonialism Is Destroying the Planet, Not Poor BI&POC
Don’t believe the Malthusian and eco-fascist myth that there are too many people on the planet to care for. This is a lie peddled by capitalists, eugenicists, and people who advocate for genocide. We know that every landbase has its limit for how much life it can support (indigenous peoples have been saying this for hundreds of years), but “overpopulation” rhetoric is overwhelmingly used as a means to enforce colonial hierarchies where wealthy white people can maintain lives of access and privilege while poor BI&POC barely survive.
Instead of telling poor BI&POC to have less children or to stop wanting better lives, we should build a movement to fight climate change which centers racial justice, abolishes capitalism, and forces wealthy, predominately white populations to stop hoarding resources.
Here are some Earth Day facts for tomorrow so you don’t fall for the lies:
Just 100 companies are responsible for 71% of global emissions. (Source: the Guardian)
Black communities are exposed to 56% more pollution than is caused by their consumption. For Latinx communities, it is 63%. (Source: American Journal of Public Health)
97% of waste produced in the United States is corporate waste. 80% of businesses are owned & operated by white people. (Source: The Story of Stuff” & US News)
Indigenous peoples make up less than 5% of the planet’s human population, yet they are protecting 80% of its biodiversity. (Source: National Geographic)
The world’s richest 10% produce half of carbon emissions while the poorest half contribute only 10%. (Source: Oxfam)
The world’s wealthiest 16% use 80% of the planet’s natural resources. (Source: CNN)
We are not all equally “responsible.” White settler colonialism and capitalism are destroying the planet, not poor BI&POC.

Wanna go make noise? Join 49 other states in protest against 47's massive over-reach? I know you do. Or, if you can't, maybe you could tell your friends and neighbors about it. Practically everyone is under the Billionaire Class, thus is being reamed by them. Come out and tell them to fuck off, will ya?
