This weekend, my husband’s friend came to visit our little arrow, and I felt so full of joy preparing for his stay. I made a fresh loaf of bread, a batch of chocolate chip walnut cookies, and a homemade buffalo chicken pizza—everything from scratch. They loved it!
But more than anything, I’m just in awe of the strength and joy the Lord gave me to do all of this cheerfully on the Sabbath. It didn’t feel like work—it felt like worship. A way to serve, to love, and to glorify God in the small, hidden things.
My husband’s friend, who believes in God but isn’t walking with Him, was so surprised and kept saying how rare it is for a wife to do these things. He told my husband that I’m one of a kind. And my husband—he beamed. He boasted in the best way, sharing pictures of all the things I’ve baked, and even the sweet photos I’ve taken of our baby boy. He always says I should be a photographer.
That moment reminded me of Proverbs 12:4:
“An excellent wife is the crown of her husband.”
And again in Proverbs 31:11-12:
“The heart of her husband trusts in her… She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.”
Glory to God for making me a crown on my husband’s head—not because of what I can do, but because of who He is shaping me to be in Him. It is my greatest honor to serve my family and reflect His love through it all.
All glory to the Most High.

Yes, it is true… it’s hard to find sisterhood, yet, sisterhood is biblically essential.
It’s time y’all, it’s time.
The end times are near & in these end times. It is time.
It’s time to start coming together as women.
It’s time to start loving each other as women.
It’s time to stop putting men before the women in our lives.
It’s time to stop distancing from the fellow women in our lives.
It’s time to coddle one another as women.
It’s time to see other women as God sees them.
It’s time to stop all of the sickness that has tainted the female community.
It’s time…
It’s time to stop being jealous of other women.
It’s time to stop assassinating the character of other women (especially an innocent woman that you have no proof to back the tarnishing of her character).
It’s time to stop comparing ourselves or others to other women.
It’s time to stop judging other women.
It’s time to stop gate-keeping other women.
It’s time to stop back-biting other women.
It’s time to stop gaslighting other women.
It’s time to stop hating on other women.
It’s time to stop abandoning other women.
It’s time to stop ignoring other women.
It’s time to stop suppressing and oppressing other women.
It’s time to stop helping the agenda against women.
It’s time to stop letting ourselves be coerced by false mindsets (and/or male mindsets) and false information that incite hatred towards other women.
It’s time to stop putting down other women.
It’s time to stop betraying other women.
It’s time to stop.
Sisterhood is essential. It takes a village.
In a world that hates women, it’s take a village of women to support one single woman.
We all need that sense of sisterhood and sisterly companionship. There are many good women out here who deserve sisterhood and don’t have it, because of their peers being unworthy of true sisterhood.
All of us need love. Sisterhood is about REAL love between women who were not born of the same womb. This energy is essential for us to thrive as women. As a real community of women. Especially a community of real Godly women.
Yet, a lot of us are missing out on sisterhood because a lot of us are undeserving of sisterhood. All these negative behaviors described above (just to name a few) are what makes a woman undeserving of sisterhood. There are so many women of today, that are unworthy of the unconditional love and support of sisterhood.
You wanna know what makes an undeserving woman, deserving of sisterhood?
When that woman starts loving other women as herself.
When that woman starts supporting other women.
When that woman starts trusting other women.
When that woman starts listening to other women.
When that woman starts uplifting other women.
When that woman starts understanding other women.
When that woman starts protecting other women.
When that woman starts defending other women.
When that woman starts speaking well on other women.
When that woman starts acknowledging other women.
When that woman starts accommodating other women.
When that woman starts caring about the feelings and emotions of other women.
When that women starts caring about the wellbeing and success of other women.
When that woman starts thinking for herself.
When that woman starts acting for herself and not for society or human community.
When that woman starts carrying herself how a real woman is supposed to.
Modern Sisterhood
The sisterhood of today is so skewed.. and the pool of which we find sisters of our likeness is shallow.
Many women do not like other women, this climate is at an all time high. Just as insecurity, judgement, and comparison is at an all time high. It seems most interactions with other women are only taking from you instead of adding to you. I’ve endured pain from all angles with interacting with women. It’s important that those of us that are good inside and love our neighbors, be the change we want to see, and treat other women as we want other women to treat us, and create a space where all women who enter that space, are safe.
When you are a righteous woman, it will be harder for you to find friends. God will not let you settle for anything that is less than you.
So many women have fallen into the trap of hatred amongst themselves, even the ones who claim to be of God. So, it will be few and far between that you find… a sister.
In these times, you must pray for proper sisterhood and fellowship, because only God knows the heart of all people and only God can give you someone who truly means you well and fits into the loving peaceful life God had designed for you.
I can’t be the only one struggling to find sisterhood in this cold world. I’m with all my girls who have accepted the life of a loner, because these women of today don’t know how to act or treat anyone & most of them lack the self analysis to know that they are hurting every woman they encounter for no reason at all.
Remember, that real Godly sisters, love and support each other even when it’s inconvenient to, even when supporting them will mean an attack on you, & even when others will judge and hate you for having so much unconditional love and support for someone that they want you to judge and hate so badly…another woman.
“I am not at peace until every woman is at peace, I am not free until every woman is free, I am not safe until every woman is safe.” - Paris Dior
Ladies, keep your head up.
Scriptures That Encourage The Need for Sisterhood:
1 John 4:21
"The one who loves God must also love his brother and sister, in both word and deed"
Romans 10:12
“Love one another with brotherly (or sisterly) affection”
“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves”
Psalm 133:1
“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
1 Samuel 18:1-3
“After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself. From that day Saul kept David with him and did not let him return home to his family. And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself."
Acts 16:40
“After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia’s house, where they met with the brothers and sisters and encouraged them. Then they left.”
Moral: be in holy familial covenant with your brothers and sisters in faith, unify in familial unconditional love and love one another as yourself (learn to love yourself so that you can actually do that) and love your brothers and sisters in the way you speak of them and to them, and in what you do for them, and to them. Love them in word and in deed. Unconditionally. As a brother or sister should love one another.
One love 💕

Create the summer you want this summer. You don’t need money or friends to have a good time. Just need God and yourself.
No car? Take the bus or ride a bike
Don’t make any excuses of making it out into the sun and having some fun this summer.
Free Activities for Summer:
Go to the beach or a lake for a swim
If you have a bike or roller skates, take them out for spin
Go for a nature walk or hike
Go to church! Or a church event
Have a picnic (this is semi-free, you will have to provide food, but you can opt to make dishes with what you already have at home!)
Make your way to your local parks and have a reading session with a nice pleasant book
Go to a museum that offers free days during the summer (Atlanta, Ga has the Fernbank Science Museum, and the High Museum of Art that both offer free entry for particular days of the month, every month)
Window shop at your local farmers market or flea market
Find a free drive in or outdoor movie in your area
Visit the capitol in your city (the tour is free!)
Look for free concert and/or free live music in your city
Visit your local library and read a book of your choice for free (get there early and spend all day long for free)
The list goes on you just have to search a little!
Have fun this summer 💕

Identity in Christ: When the Mirror Doesn’t Reflect What God Sees
Have you ever looked in the mirror and struggled to see what God sees? Maybe you’ve questioned your worth, felt rejected, overlooked or unqualified. If that’s you, I want you to know that you are not alone. So many women silently wrestle with their identity, including women in the Bible, and yet, God never left them in that place. He met them there and called them higher. Knowing who you are in…

🌸 The Whisper That Started It All🌸
There are moments in life when the heart longs to pause, to listen, to feel, to breathe. This space is one of those moments.
I created Whispers of Selah as a gentle corner of the internet wThere are moments in life when the heart longs to pause, to listen, to feel, to breathe. This space is one of those moments.here I can pour out my reflections, poems, devotions, and quiet thoughts; not to make noise, but to invite peace. It’s my way of whispering grace into the world, one soft post at a time.
The word "Selah" has always resonated with me. It means to pause, to reflect, to rest in the presence of something sacred.
In the Psalms, it invites the reader to stop not just to breathe, but to listen deeply. And that’s what this blog is: a space for stillness, for faith, for wonder… for whispers.
Whether you're here for a short visit or a long stay, I hope you find something beautiful in the quiet A reminder that softness is strength.
That your story matters.
And that sometimes, the most powerful moments come in the silence between words.
Welcome to Whispers of Selah
With grace and gratitude,
Eunice

Per St. Augustine: "Love God, and Do Whatever You Please."
listen as you read St. Augustine, one of the most influential theologians in the history of the Church, left us with a profound and often misunderstood quote: “Love God, and do whatever you please.” At first glance, this statement might seem to promote a life of self-indulgence and disregard for God’s commandments. However, when we delve deeper into the context and true meaning behind St.…

I talked to my new priest yesterday. It was nice. Last November was the first time I had been in church since before the pandemic due to a lot of drama and toxicity that was running rampant in the community at the time, and I finally started to come back to my church this year. He was really kind and gracious and I forgot how fun it was to discuss theology with someone who was also educated in it. And he also said something that was so mind blowing and heartfelt. It's been popping up in my head since.

Hey, don't be afraid of things that challenge your faith. Seriously, don't.
Either they'll give you a new perspective on things, or you'll become more secure and confident in your current beliefs. But avoiding the hard questions leaves you in an echo chamber with half-baked ideas and an insecurity in yourself. Step out of your comfort zone so you have room to grow.
