Fox doesn’t cuddle, especially with overly cocky, bratty ARC Troopers with obnoxiously charming smiles. 

“They let you get away with this in the five hundred and first?” He sneers as his face is pressed into Fives’s bare chest, and he admits that maybe it’s kind of nice to feel this sort of intimate contact outside of needy, desperate sex. 

“And more,” Fives chuckles as he cards his fingers through the guard’s hair, slick with sweat from previous activities. 

“Disgusting,” Fox replies with a soft sigh, and decides maybe it’s not so bad to cuddle after all.

24 - A sleepy kiss

Fox is really fucking tired. It’s been gods know how many hours since he’s slept, and his last cup of caff wore off ages ago. He’s lost count of how many back-to-back shifts he’s done, but he knows it’s far too many. Unfortunately, with Thire still on bedrest after that riot, Fox and the other Commanders have had their hands full.

He’s looking forward to finally being able to catch a few hours of sleep. He’d run to his bed if he had the energy for it, but he doesn’t, so he’ll have to settle for walking — more like stumbling — as quickly as he can to his bunkroom without tripping over his own two feet.

Fox punches in the code on instinct, steps inside, and tugs off his bucket with a sigh. He’s about to start on the rest of his armor when movement catches his eye. His head snaps, up hand hovering over his blaster- “Oh.”

Fives is blinking at him from his bed, sat up against the wall with a sleeping Echo using his shoulder as a pillow. He smiles sleepily and makes grabby hands at Fox. “Was waitin’ for you to get back from shift. C’mere?”

“Lemme get my kit off.” Fox can’t help but smile as he begins to make quick work of the rest of his armor. “Didn’t know you two were on planet.”

“Just landed a few hours ago,” Fives yawns and nudges Echo awake. Echo grumbles, nose wrinkling adorably. Fives pokes him again, then continues, “Thorn said you’d be off shift soon, so we came to wait. Didn’t mean to fall asleep.”

“You’re fine,” Fox assures as he slips off the last piece of armor and climbs in with them. Fives tugs him close with a happy hum, while Echo immediately buries his nose in Fox’s hair.

“Missed you,” Echo mumbles into Fox’s dark curls. Fox smiles and tilts his head to steal a kiss.

“Missed you too, cyare. And you,” he catches Fives in a kiss as well, murmuring against his lips, “Missed you both so much.”

Each of them press a kiss to either of his cheeks, and then wordlessly tug him down to lay sandwiched in between them, Echo curled around his back and Fives pressed against his front. Echo’s nose is back in his hair, while Fives has tucked himself under Fox’s chin. If they were tookas, they’d be purring up a storm. Unsurprisingly, Echo is already fast asleep again.

Fives presses one last kiss to his shoulder. “Love you.”

“Love you too.” Fox kisses the crown of his head, yawns, and allows sleep to pull him into its embrace.

Rex was frozen as he stood in the doorway, a stolen bag of Fox's favorite chocolate covered berries under one arm with a berry half way to his mouth. He was dressed in an oversized blue hoodie with his signature Jaig eyes painted in white and a pair of bright red boxers he had stolen from Fox's closet.

"What the kriff did I walk in on?" He asked and Fox growled lowly in frustration although he didn't look up from his task.

"Your ARC-" he started but Rex cut him off with a noise of complaint.

"Why is he suddenly my ARC when he pisses you off? We agreed that on Taungsday he's the Guard's idiot." He said and finally popped the berry into his mouth and finished entering the room.

Fox was sitting on the couch with Fives positioned between his legs on the floor and a hair brush to his side. Half of Fives' head was arranged in what Rex might have called a high Nabooian style if he was being kind but was honestly just a lot of rubber bands and knots. The other side was twisted into many different braids. Fives was just staring ahead looking resigned to whatever was going on.

"Fine, my idiot ARC let a bunch of cadets use him as a doll and I'm trying to undo the damage without just shaving it all off." Fox finally looked over as Rex flopped on the couch beside him and offered Fox a berry which he took distractedly and ate with a little pleased hum.

"Thorn said they were good at it! I'm going to put green dye in his shampoo." Fives whined.

"You didn't realize Thorn lies like 80% of the time after he convinced you to eat that soap bar shaped like a piece of pie?" Rex asked raising an eyebrow as he stretched out and shoved his feet into Fox's lap so his boyfriend had to lean over them to look at Fives' head.

"It honestly didn't taste that bad." Fives said holding out a hand for a berry as well and Rex rolled his eyes but gave it to him.

The peace that filled Rex as he laid there with Fox slowly unknotting Fives' hair while Fives chattered about his ongoing feud with Thorn had him melting into the worn cushions. There had been several points in the war he had almost given up. Little moments like this made him grateful he kept fighting.

Fox/Fives?

Ooooh what a delicious pairing! More love for my boy Fox. The angst, tension, whump, hurt/comfort potential of this ship is top tier. Especially in the AUs where Fox saves Fives and has to keep his existance a secret while also keeping him alive. There's probably some tending to wounds hurt/comfort in there as well. They work on trying to figure out the chips together all while getting closer and also dancing around each other before the tension is at maximum levels and then oh look at that they're now making out on the couch in the safe house that Fives is hiding in. There definitely needs to be more Fox/Fives. Echo can join too. And maybe various Corries as well

Fox/Echo/Fives, but Echo is sir not appearing, Grief and Guilt, Relationship Status: It’s Complicated, Fox Needs Help but he will certainly never ask for it, time travel/loop fix-it (sorta), a touch of Fives/Tup, TBB cameo, & Ahsoka (Citadel->Wrong Jedi->Inhibitor Chips Arcs) ((No Chips))

Despite his best efforts, Fives can tell something is intrinsically wrong about the way Fox is acting now. Every time Fox tries to open his mouth and tell Fives that he has prior knowledge of events, that he has already lived these days and made crucial mistakes in them, the truth sticks in his throat.

I killed you. I died still following my master’s orders.

I killed you. I knew Echo would fall that day and I didn’t stop it.

I killed you and now I have this second chance, but time and events are still just slipping through my fingers.

I killed you, my love.

The emotional distance yaws between them as deep and dark as Coruscant’s chasms. Fives is smart. He could probably find Echo the same way he’s always been able to find anything, if Fox could bring himself to destroy any remaining goodwill between them by laying bare all his past and continuing failures.

He’s not that much of a masochist.

Prompt: Blowing Raspberries Ship: Fox/Fives Rated: G .

As Fives watched Fox turn his back to him and begin his march down the hallway to report back to the Chancellor he stomped his foot, blowing raspberries at his retreating form.

Immediately, Fox stopped, and he slowly turned to face Fives again, who had quickly huffed and turned his nose up at him.

“...Did you just -”

“I didn’t stutter, did I?”

Fox rolled his eyes and grabbed Fives by the collar, planting a firm kiss on his smirking lips.

“You petulant child,” he breathed, barely containing a chuckle as Fives chased him down for one more kiss.
