I feel super bad because I wasn't as productive as I hoped I would be but it's so false.

Today I actually went outside for the first time this week and I got to hang out with some friends I hadn't seen for a little while !

We ate together, talked a lot and went to buy bubble teas

When I came back home I got to play a bit, think about ideas and even started to draw a little despite my body aching a lot. And I watched an awesome movie !!!

Pretty productive I'd say. So stop bothering me bad feelings.

what is the theory that ivan manipulated the event where till and mizi met the wagyein?

It's not a theory, actually! It's confirmed that Ivan orchestrated the whole event. The true reason as to why however is still unknown. The information provides more context to this scene, though:

During the earlier times of ALNST the most rational explanation for this scene was that Till ran after a flower crown (presumably Mizi's) and Ivan followed him in out of curiosity. Now we know that Ivan was conveniently just standing there because he was waiting.

Side note, I find it heartbreaking (and maybe a little funny, sorry) that Till most likely didn't notice Ivan in this scene. That's just like him, isn't it. Always too busy running after Mizi while Ivan trails behind, an ever-present shadow.

I'm not sure how Ivan manipulated the circumstances for both of them to end up there, but it is confirmed that everything was intentional. What strikes me most is how they describe this particular scene:

I can't copy down what they said word-for-word (Patreon info), but they described Ivan watching "creepily" as Till and Mizi are faced with danger. We know that Ivan was familiar with the Cerberus wagyein beforehand, enough to touch its teeth and even to rest himself inside its maw. To Ivan, the wagyein is not dangerous, but to Till and Mizi, it could be. Ivan prepared the wagyein, led them there, and watched "creepily" from afar as Till fell on his knees, seemingly injured.

The closest I can get to making sense of Ivan's "scheme" is that he wanted to see how other children would react in a dangerous situation. Ivan's always been an observer, after all, and he's learned to survive by copying the more "normal" behaviors of his peers. This situation occured when Ivan was still young and had not yet developed his more charming mask, so perhaps he staged this encounter to study a situational response, to learn and mimic the emotion of fear. And what better subjects for the experiment than two of the most expressive and reactive humans of their batch? It helps that he was already fixated on Till beforehand, too. I think Ivan became irreversibly obssessed after this incident, especially since it's framed as a turning point in Ivan's life, comparing Till to the stars.

This is just my attempt at an interpretation, though. It could very well be for another reason. He most likely chose Till and Mizi specifically for personal reasons, not just for reaction. I'm still not sure on the purpose behind the whole thing.

The team wanted to capture Ivan's "dark emotions" through the shot of his stalking, which could relate to his more sinister intentions. His gaze can be read in a few different ways, though. Curiosity, interest, fear, etc. Maybe that's why they decided to redraw the shot in ROUND 6.

I think this better sells the feeling they were trying to convey.

Actually, if the experiments with the scourgers did involve funneling power from a beacon, then that could suggest evidence to support some previously hypothesized ideas.

It would make sense to me that they would've tried primarily to harness the potions, akin to how Otohan's contraption operates. However, for experimentation purposes, particularly in the early stages, I would also imagine that they had done some kind of experimentation of that kind on the beacons themselves, particularly while they had multiple.

In fact, that could be exactly why Ludinus needed more than one—if he was concerned about his previous experiments having destroyed the power sources, it would've made sense to acquire two, so that the second would remain once you'd drained the first.

But notably, the beacons were unchanged, as the ones returned would've been examined by the Dynasty, particularly the one handed over in the peace talks. The Assembly had had three years to drain them, and did not.

If Ludinus had two beacons, and this was his purpose with them, and he had three years of access with complete oversight over the process, hundreds of years after he'd initially designed the prototype, it's not unreasonable to believe that had it been possible to drain one of them, he would've.

It does raise into question what the ultimate goal of these experiments was though—over time, would Ludinus have wanted to make this siphoning more powerful, or more sustainable? Take more and more powerful sources of energy and drain every drop, or pinpoint the siphoning to be able to return again and again?

I would posit the former, from what Ludinus has done thus far. But if he stumbled upon an inexhaustible well of power... it would also explain why it was so uncomplicated for him to release all but one.

But Ludinus also does not introduce it into the Malleus Key as a divine element. It could be that his need for a divine talisman needed to be pinpointed upon the Pantheon. It could also be that his viewpoint is too limited to see it as divine. But Exandria has a way of putting limits upon arcane power, and living beings are always exhaustible, even extraplanar ones—even the gods of the Pantheon can die.

So if a beacon is inexhaustible, then really, what the hell is the Luxon?

You know what I always wanted? An episode where Kagome actually manages to give in to the Darkness in her heart and it would be up to Inuyasha this time to snap her out of it and bring her back to her senses (paralleling how she always manages to bring him back whenever he goes into full demon mode), kinda like the 1st movie or the Tsubaki arc but like better because this time it wouldn’t just be Kagome’s body under the control of another but her mind as well due to giving into all her insecurities regarding Kikyo.

Honestly? This is such a good concept that it deserved to be its own freaking arc. The potential for angst and character development is insane. The parallels with Inuyasha, the parallels with Kikyo.

"You really are my reincarnation, walking the same path I did" except Kagome is walking her own path, based on her own decisions, because of her own feelings and then dealing with the aftermatch of her own actions after Inuyasha manages to bring her back.

I think it's brilliant because Inuyasha was always so terrified of Kagome dying on him that he doesn't really worry about all the other ways he can lose her. Or rather, he does, but it's never really explored in a serious or satisfying manner.

And the irony of it all? Like, Kagome being the one constantly afraid Inuyasha would forget about her if he goes full demon, only for her to turn the tables? Cinema.

One of the real life ways BG3 has influenced me is that now whenever I get horrible intrusive thoughts I just think “lol ok durge” and eyeroll/cackle to myself and it actually makes them go away.

I really need to be cleaning my room but. fanfiction I'd write if I had time but I Do Not

There are several ghiralink fic storylines that are along the lines of "Link gets exactly what he thinks he wants and turns out it isn't really what he needs" (whether real or a dream-state) that have him taking Ghirahim's sword and gaining complete control over him and the themes are of personhood and power and complacency. be careful what you wish for type things. A few that are Ghirahim killing Link/Link losing and realizing he would rather have him alive and fighting instead of dead/given up because it was more fun than way, but usually end up being sad. oh well I guess for the former and teaming up with Link to defeat Demise for the latter.

What I want to write is the themes of scenario 1 but role reversed so it's like scenario 2 with Ghirahim having the "this isn't what I wanted" moment. Ghiralink adds, usually as a joke, a level of "if I can't kill you, maybe you could join me ;)" and I want to write more or less Link doing that, Link being a perfect subservient extension that does everything he wants him to and he doesn't regret it (he can't), but Ghirahim having the realization that he doesn't want someone who is nothing more than an object for him to use. A doll. A sword.

And then, how Link has guilt over Fi and the Master Sword and his role as hero and how Hylia controls him but he's no better than her, Ghirahim realizing Link is now what he is to Demise and rethinking his own position. Is this what Demise thinks of me. Is that why he treats me the way he does. And he takes his anger out on Link but Link can't fight back anymore. Link doesn't want to fight back anymore, and not in a depressed it's hopeless kind of way, but in the same way Ghirahim accepted Demise pulling the sword out of his chest.

When Ghirahim is empty and goes isn't this what you wanted, Link can genuinely say no because he has a hero's heart and conscience and never meant for anyone to get hurt. When Link goes I am what you made me, Ghirahim has to face that fact that yes, he is, and he is made in my image, and I do not want this anymore.
