There are a ton of things I want to get into.. Martial arts, drawing, learning a foreign language, sewing, programming. Math. Scrapbooking. Unfortunately just the sheer amount of ideas and goals I have overwhelm me and I have no idea where to start, because I do not think I have time to practice all of those things, and they all sound so attractive and I can‘t decide where to begin. This undecisiveness leads to procrastrination in my case. Do you have any advice?
Hi love! I would say to create a hobby "roadmap" for yourself.
Consider the main goals you want to achieve in each area. Create a SMART goal (or two) for each hobby (e.g.: I want to get a yellow belt within 6 months; I want to create XYZ types/number of portraits of XYZ subjects before the end of this year).
Break down the larger goal into individual milestones/tasks for each hobby/area of interest(Enroll in a semester of weekly martial arts classes; Take a drawing class to create a work of XYZ subject or to learn XYZ drawing technique this month, next month, etc.)
Create a timeline for each hobby/interest and put all of these timelines together on one shared document to see your overall "roadmap"
Plan your non-school/work hours around this timeline and track your task completion/progress over the next few months
Reevaluate your goals, plan, and tasks/timelines as needed

1. get a FULLY remote job

3. create content

6. paint - in progress
7. get more tattoos (3 or 4 big pieces)
8. travel out of the country (thailand and/or vietnam)
9. travel within the country (el nido and/or siargao)
10. makeup ALMOST no buy
11. clothes ALMOST no buy
12. twice a week pilates - in progress
13. pole dancing classes
14. elevate the house in case of floods
15. build a feral cat sanctuary
16. build an emergency room in case of floods
17. get a bathtub
18. buy a gaming laptop
19. eat healthier - in progress
20. get strong and fucking JACKED physically and mentally - in progress

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
I had my last session with my therapist yesterday. She's moving to a different city. I have someone new in the wings, but that won't start until the new year, when my insurance changes. So I need to get through the holidays on my own. Sigh.
I feel like there is a door closing in my life right now. I'm not really upset about it, or rather, I'm not churning myself into an emotional wreck over things I can't control. I'm just. Ready to see what's behind the door that's going to open when this one closes.
When I first started meeting with my current therapist, I was depressed, suicidal, traumatized, and burned out. I told her my therapy goal was to get to a place where I want to be alive, because at that moment, I didn't see the appeal.
In two years, I have learned that I am not a robot. I am a living creature, and being alive means that having emotions and desires and needs is normal, not shameful. I have learned to care for myself like I would care for any other animal in need, and treat myself with the same kindness. Moreover, with these seeds of self love, and the love I finally allowed myself to accept from others, I have grown to see myself as a human. A person who deserves dignity, and respect, and freedom.
I am free from the life of groveling and servitude my parents built for me. Now I am building a life for myself, a life I want to live. Now I can start living, instead of surviving. I finally get to get behind the steering wheel of my own life and see where I can go.

Updates and Failures...
God I fucked up today.
I'm on spring break right now (I'm a teacher, not a student) and instead of being a full time worker and full time mom, I'm now temporarily a full time mom, and I suck at it.
Stay at home moms are one of the most underappreciated jobs in existence, and I get to experience it for roughly 1/3 of the year.
I held it together most of the day, but I lost my shit on my four year old tonight. Yelling. Chasing. Pretty sure if I hadn't established 4 years of trust with that kid, she would've been scared of me. I felt fucking awful. I felt like dying when she was the first one to say sorry for not listening tonight.
So we sat together, and we repaired, and the rest of the night was great. She's asleep in her bed right now. It was a hard core mom fail tonight. But I told her I was sorry. I told her I would keep trying to be the mom she deserves. And gods dammit, I'm going to. Because she deserves it.
On a more positive note, I feel like my goals are going well. Another tumblr user I follow has a cool little ticker type thing across the bottom to address their goals, so I'm going to try that. Little bit more simple than detailing each goal in a paragraph.
Anyway, hoping tomorrow goes better.
