“Megumi,”

“hm?”

“Are you okay?”

“Why wouldn’t I be?” you didn’t notice it , but he tightened his grip on the wheel, his other hand that was by his side he used to pinch the fabric of his pants.

“You just seem quiet, what’s on your mind?”

“Nothing, but you never told me where we were going.”

“Oh right!” to be honest you had completely forgotten you hadn’t told him, and you did promise you’d say where the morning of. “It’s a little book cafe! My friend recommended it to me, I thought it seemed fitting.”

“So, you’ve been here before with them?” he questioned. “Nope, we can try it out together.” He smiled a little, and you did notice that, happy to at least get a little more emotion out of him.

“Hi! Welcome in,” A girl with a short brown bob looked up to you and Megumi walking in, adjusting herself at the front of the counter next to a bakery display waiting for you to approach.

“Hi,” you greeted back.

“Do you two need help with anything?”

“Not looking for anything particular, thank you though,” you answered, turning to look at Megumi only to see him already looking around the place, specifically staring off towards a shelf of books.

“Ok, well let me know if you need anything.”

You nodded as the girl went back to her previous task. There were only a couple of other people inside the place, probably less than ten. It was larger than you expected it to be from the outside exterior, but still very homey. You had just begun to take a few steps in, only for Megumi to grab your hand and lead the way.

“Look,” he said once stopping in front of a shelf, picking a book out and handing it to you. “One of my favorites.” You were a little taken aback, but just smiled looking at it, front and back, trying to figure out what it was. “How is your eyesight that good you saw this from the entrance?”

“Can you do that again?” You looked up, only to see him pull out a smaller camera from his jacket’s pocket. Smaller than the one you had seen him with before. How did you not notice he was carrying that?

“Uhm, okay,” and you repeated your action, feeling slightly strange, but at least he seemed more alive now.

“Thank you.” His smile at that moment was contagious, seeming genuinely happy.

“Was that just for you or for your project?” you asked, mirroring his expression.

“Do you want your hint for the day?”

“Yes please.” He leaned his camera towards you, showing you the four photos he took, “They are for the project,” he informed.

“What’s wrong with your loaf?”

“What?” Megumi looked up from his page, eyes wide full of confusion.

“The pastry you ordered, you took two bites and haven’t touched it since.” You had been watching Megumi for the past thirty minutes he’s been sitting across from you. Although you both originally started with conversation that had slowly filed down into you guys reading what you had chosen. You thought back to what Nobara had said over text and couldn’t help but think maybe she was right. He’d probably be happy if you had just taken him outside then given him a book.

“Oh,” he looked down next to him, starring at the piece of bread on the small plate, “It’s just.. too sweet.”

“Too sweet?”

He looked back up at you, shrugging before picking up his mug taking a sip of his dark coffee. “I’m not really a fan of sweets.” He placed the cup back down, then went back to reading.

“You’re such an interesting man Megumi.”

“Really?” he questioned looking back up to you.

“You’re interesting to me.” He just looked at you, both of you making eye contact for a few seconds, and he failed to look away on time so you wouldn’t see the pink dusting his face. “Thanks I guess.”

‘You’re laughing a little too hard..’ Johnny giggles (tehe) and raises his eyebrows.

‘I don’t mind..’ Tomas says, what a savior.

Lunch ends and you almost go to your respective spots until Johnny and Tomas strike up a conversation.

‘Nice catch, how’d you know she liked you? Was it the laughing?’ Oh.My.Gods.

‘Sorry Johnny, could you repeat that?’ No..OH MY GODS

‘Oh..I thought you knew..’ your fight or flight kicks in, you could-

They’re both staring at you, hard.

“Here,” the little girl said, placing a toy dragon into Roderich’s hands, “you get to be the dragon today.”

The man wearing a dark hood covering his face stared down at the toy. “Why am I always the dragon?” he muttered.

“Would you rather be the troll?” Walter asked, eyeing the very ugly toy in his hand. “Just go along with it, you don’t want to make him angry.”

Roderich turned his head to see Gilbert seated on a large stone, his little rabbit not far from him. 

“Why isn’t he ever the dragon?” Roderich mumbled under his breath. He turned his attention back to the game at hand and moved his dragon to the entrance of the play-castle. 

He made loud roaring sounds; the little girl smiled and shrieked, happy to see her friend play along.

“Papa, Papa ! Help me!!!!” she called out frantically. Her arms flailing, she flopped over onto her side, the doll in her hand falling from her fingers. “The dragon…” she gasped, “is coming to get me!”

“Rawr!” Roderich shouted as he moved the dragon closer to the little girl’s doll. He watched as she clutched her heart, sighing dramatically – something her father had done on more than one occasion.

“Papa!” she cried breathlessly. “I need you,” she gasped, “I need my hero to save me!”

You couldn’t help but laugh at your daughter’s theatrics – while she inherited your hair and eyes, she inherited her melodramatics from Gilbert.

“Go,” you urged, “she needs you.”

Gilbert looked at his daughter and then back at you. “I’m not a hero,” he said. “Anti-hero, maybe. But I’m the villain…”

His voice trailed off as his focus turned to his daughter. Sprawled out on the floor, she lay still as the mean and scary dragon approached the princess. 

You tugged gently on Gilbert’s sleeve, his gaze returning to you. “In her eyes, you are her papa. A great and wonderful man who adores her. In her world, she only knows the good you have done.”

“I have done bad things. Terrible things.” He tilted his head, sadness washing over his face. “And I might do them again.”

“You won't," you replied softly, to which Gilbert huffed a puff of air.

“And you, little rabbit, how do you see me?”

“I see a man with a good heart who loves his family and his country.”

His expression softened, the way he looked at you was so gentle; he couldn't argue with you – there was not a lie in your voice. His rose-red eye wavered as he pulled you into an embrace, his arms circling your waist, squeezing you so tight.

“I wouldn’t survive without you,” he whispered into a kiss placed upon the crown of your hair.

You pressed your cheek into the dark fabric covering his chest, humming your acknowledgment. 

“That’s why I’ll never let you leave my side.”

You pulled away, needing to look into his eye when you spoke. “I wouldn't want it any other way.”

He pressed his lips against yours in a rare sign of affection in front of others. Cool against warmth, it was over before it could go any further.

You ran your palms slowly down his arms, your hands slipping into his. “Now go, be her hero.” You let go of his hands, and watched him walk away.

He took a seat on the ground next to his daughter; once she was calmed, Gilbert turned to you. He held out his hands, his fingers curving into a heart as he smiled at you.

Your heart filled with warmth as Gilbert picked up the toy knight and played the part of the hero, slaying the mean dragon and saving the princess. Nothing could have made you happier than when you saw the smile on your daughter’s face.

“Thank you for saving me, papa,” she squealed as he lifted her in the air. “I love you!”

“I love you, too,” you whispered, giving your husband and child a moment together, their laughter so loud and infectious you couldn't help but join in their joy.

There’s a joke near the end of the song where Scratch mentions that "gladtitude" isn’t a real word, to which Molly quickly states that it is in her dictionary before pulling out a pink tome covered in cute puffy stickers that have the words, “Molly’s Dictionary” written in purple cursive on the front. She rapidly flips through the many pages of the book until she spots the word “gladtitude” and points to it, even handing Scratch a magnifying glass to see for himself. It’s defined, by Molly of course, as the quality or feeling of being glad, rad, and overall thankful!

• Wants to create her own Molly-fied version of the first Thanksgiving and perform it in front of her mom and dad! She’ll need tons of turkey costumes, actors and actresses, puppets, a whole lot of glitter, a glue gun, and a good script! Molly will undoubtely ask Scratch, Libby, and Darryl for help.

• She's the artsy fartsy queen and will make a bunch of Thanksgiving arts and crafts with her family.

When Molly brings up the baseball game with the Lemmings, Scratch simply states that that was only one time. Molly, pretending to be disappointed, walks away, sighing. “It’s okay, Scratch. I understand if you’re too chicken to play.” She smiles a small, cheeky smile. Hearing those words, the blue ghost lets out an exaggerating gasp, a look of pure outrage appearing on his face. He then flies up to Molly and shouts in a thunderous tone, “NO ONE, AND I MEAN NO ONE, CALLS ME A CHICKEN! IT’S ON, MOLLY MCGEE!” Molly is exhilarated by the sudden shift and quickly grabs Scratch’s hand, taking him outside. He and Darryl end up winning, and Scratch can't help but rub it in Molly’s face as he does a little ghost jig.

•Some might expect Scratch to only say that he’s thankful for tacos or the misery of others. Don’t get him wrong, those things are wonderful, especially the tacos, but really, the thing he’s most thankful for is being friends with Molly. He was pretty much a loner in the ghost world (still kind of is) and didn’t really have a companion. Molly’s enthusiasm and positive outlook on life can get annoying, but… he’s glad to have the kid around, you know? Makes him feel… like a big brother. He feels… almost alive. Yeah, pretty ironic feeling for a ghost.

I always just love little behind the scenes looks! Seeing insight to NIL stuff was cool. And I get they dont really have to, but it always slays me that these athletes cant really cook!And I thought it was a really good mix of players with them all being prominent but very different individuals. CC bias was predictable but also logical given Iowa had another run to the title game. I was mostly bothered by the amount of time we had her bf on screen. Like I get thats a significant other, but why are we hearing from this dude constantly? He just didnt really offer anything for the audience as a narrator imo. Also the others just may not be in relationships, but it seemed an odd choice given that just family members were featured otherwise for everyone. Cardoso's journey was really interesting to me. I wasnt aware of all of her tough family circumstances back home. Makes me feel good for her success. And Kiki.. honestly kinda just blindsided by how attractive she is and realization of who her aunt was! (Really brought home the fact that I dont get to watch enough west coast bball lol)

I sometimes play with a fic idea on a scenario where Celica accidentally comes across Castin's exes or one night stands. It's deliciously juicy! But we can expand on the idea here!

So! What would happen if a home wrecker or any of Castin's past lovers tried to go up on all of Celica's business?

Well... She'd be DELIGHTED!

Petty fights like these among women are terribly common in the Imperial Nobility. To survive this game, you can let it get under your skin. To win? You have to crush their entire worth as a human and as a woman. It's fun! It's been so long since Celica plays it so you have to excuse her if she admits that she's been eagerly waiting for this moment ever since she and Castin truly became a couple.

See, there's no other woman in the world that can stand on the same level as Baroness Anesidora - except for her bestie, the Queen Ascendant and the Empress of the Coastal Empire.

Baby, she got the looks, the money, the status, the power, the achievements, the respect and THEN SOME MORE. Celica is not secure in herself; she's arrogant, and rightly so! She can have any man she wants, and in fact, if this arranged marriage doesn't work out, she has already written up a contract so that she and Castin can have mutual affairs with other people in secret while in public, they would act as a loving couple.

(She didn't tell this to Castin, though, lol. She threw the contract into the fireplace the night after Castin's Chapter 1 audio.)

So to have barmaids or some village girls coming up to her with their unearned audacity, try to make her jealous and say, "Castin loves me first before you!" Or "Castin would never love an Imp like you." Or or "Does Castin did that trick with you in bed? He always like to do that with me." Or even "Castin will get tired of you eventually. You're so... uptight. No fun at all. He'll come back to me in no time so enjoy your time while it last, Your Grace~"

SAYIN' ALL THESE SHITS RIGHT TO CELICA'S FACE!?

Celica is just gonna smile, man. She'll let the women get it out of their system first. She can be generous. Go on, let it aallll ooouttt of your chest. There. Doesn't it feel good? Don't you feel aaallll better? You're done now? Good!

Now Celica is gonna systematically tear them down. She'll pick apart their background: She'll nod in sincere understanding. Of course commoners would be envious of what a Noblewoman would have. It's only natural! So she understands their frustration. Would it make them feel better if she 'lents' out Castin to them? They would need to return him back though since he's not just their ex-lover anymore. He now plays a bigger role that those women could never support after all.

Then, she'll move on to their future. If any of them are the ambitious sorts, Celica is gonna be stonewalling their progress. Oh, one of them is trying to get into a school in Steelgate? Huh. Would be a shame if their entry submission got mysteriously rejected because the headmaster isn't willing to lose one of his main sponsors. Oh? One of the women is trying to buy a house or rent a place in the more career-driven towns? Would be a shame if the local body of property management received a tip that the woman would be a bad tenant. Hell! They can't even get a simple loan from the bank because Celica is one of the major investors in Intacia!

And the cherry on top of all this? She'll leave little crumbs of clues around so the women who crossed her know that she's behind it all. They would have no choice but to thicken their face and drag their feet to the manor (you know, where Castin is currently living too) and ask for forgiveness from the Baroness.

Oh dear... and all of these for a man who has clearly moved on? Ain't it a shame? Oh, well.

If you want to do something, you might as well do it right. Yes, yes - that includes wanting to make someone jealous. After all...

(and beforehand i had quit using tiktok for like 7 months already and i wasn't that addicted to my phone but i still was consuming negative media) so, ofc, i stopped completely for a good month or so and only ever using youtube every now and then. buttttt, one of the first social media platforms i came back to first... was tumblr! it's actually so silly too because i only used tumblr like 4 times beforehand so i was quite new. but anyway anyway (im a yapper UGH) i really found that your posts had made me feel happy :) idk they kinda reminded me of myself before i went big bad that one time and it made me inspired to go back to how i used to be... u get me?? you're writing literally haunts my brain oh my lord it should be illegal to read your stuff because afterwards i literally have this crazy ass urge to read more and more and more. im lowkey an addict cause i be having my deadlynightshade withdrawals. the way you write is just so 😫 gosh, it's beautiful. i also love ur sillyness because like ME TOO. your random little posts are so me coded and i love it.
