Ya Allah, save me from falling into those sins which I remind others not to do.
Don’t let me be a reminder for others while I forget myself.
Protect me from preaching what I fail to practice.

Foods you wouldn’t guess had meat/pork in them and would not be suitable for vegetarians, vegans, Jews keeping kosher, or Muslims. I’ll add a list when I have time.

Like the moon, she stayed
Tumblr media
Pairing; Bucky Barns x fem!avenger!reader
Word count; 1.3k next parts will be longer
Warning; non really
Summary; Y/N is the hijabi Avenger no one saw coming - composed, brilliant, and always the calm in the chaos. Bucky's not sure what pulls him in more: the way she fights without fear, or the way she prays like the world can't touch her. He's never met someone so good with everyone... and so unfazed by him.
Bucky had learned to read people the way most people read weather. Something in their eyes, the way their shoulders held tension, the way their voice cracked in the middle of a sentence. He could sense storms before they formed.
And when he first met Y/N, he thought this one’s already been through the hurricane.
She wasn’t loud. She didn’t need to be. She walked through the compound like she’d been built from stillness—balanced, composed, unshaken. She never raised her voice in briefings. Never lost her temper, even when Stark was on his fifth sarcastic interruption. She simply existed in a way that demanded respect without ever asking for it.
She wore her hijab like it was stitched from dignity. Tucked and secure, never once faltering—not in battle, not in the wind, not even after a fight where everyone else looked like they’d been dragged through hell. She always fixed it before she fixed herself.
The first time he saw her on the field, she had gone in with Steve and Sam. Low-risk recon. Simple infiltration.
Then the gunfire started.
They’d been set up. Hydra had been waiting.
Bucky heard Steve call out—sharp, tense—before the comms cut out. And then came the cold sweep of adrenaline that came before something bad.
He got there seconds after backup was called. Chaos everywhere. The building was a concrete shell of flames and smoke. Debris scattered like someone had set off a bomb. And in the middle of it all—
There she was.
Y/N.
Back pressed to the side of a crumbling wall, blood streaking down her arm. Her side was hit. He could see it. But she was still standing, still deflecting shots with almost terrifying precision. Calm. Deadly.
Bucky hadn’t even realized he was running until he reached her.
“You’re hit.”
She looked at him, eyes sharp despite the blood dripping into her sleeve. “I noticed.”
“Why are you—”
“Cover the left. I’ll draw fire.”
“Y/N—”
“I’m not asking.”
That was the first time he understood that she didn’t need saving.
She needed trust.
He watched her take the lead, direct the agents, cover Steve’s six while he pulled out a wounded civilian. She moved like she’d been doing this her whole life.
And maybe she had.
She collapsed only after everyone was safe.
He caught her—arm around her waist, lowering her down behind the transport as she gasped for air.
“You didn’t duck fast enough,” she muttered, eyes fluttering shut.
“I was busy trying not to watch you die,” he answered before he could stop himself.
She didn’t reply.
But she smiled.
And then passed out.
Later, when she was stable and back at the compound, he sat outside the medbay like a ghost. Didn’t say much. Didn’t go in. Just… waited. Listening to the quiet beeping, to the nurses checking vitals. Making sure she was still breathing.
“You could just go talk to her, you know,” Sam said one evening, not unkindly. “Instead of sitting here like some kind of war-scented cryptid.”
“She needs rest.”
“She also needs people.”
Bucky didn’t answer. Because he didn’t know how to explain it.
That Y/N wasn’t just another teammate. She was the only person in this place who didn’t look at him like he was going to snap in half or burn the world down. She didn’t flinch at the arm. Didn’t treat his silence like something to be fixed. She saw him—saw him—and didn’t run.
That was scarier than Hydra. Scarier than the nightmares.
Because it meant he wanted to be seen by her. And that meant he had something to lose.
When she was discharged a week later, she walked out of the medbay like she hadn’t nearly bled out in battle.
Bucky was sitting on the bench by the training floor when she spotted him.
“You planning to keep staring at me like a haunted statue,” she said, “or are you gonna say hi?”
His lips twitched. Almost a smile.
“Hi.”
She came closer. Sat beside him without hesitation, like it was the most natural thing in the world.
He could feel the heat of her shoulder next to his, even with layers of fabric and armor between them.
“You okay?” he asked, finally.
She looked down at the bandages beneath her tactical jacket. “Healing.”
“Shouldn’t you be resting?”
“I don’t like sitting still.”
He nodded. He understood that. Too much time alone meant too much time in your own head.
“You scared the hell out of me, you know,” he muttered, almost under his breath.
She didn’t laugh. Didn’t tease.
Instead, she tilted her head, studying him with eyes that were somehow both tired and warm.
“I told you I’ve had worse.”
“Don’t say that like it’s normal.”
“It is,” she said simply. “For people like us.”
He wanted to argue. But he couldn’t. Not when her voice was so steady. Not when she looked at him like he was more than what he used to be.
Not when, for the first time in a long time, someone made him want to be something more.
He stayed on that bench a long time after she left.
Hands still. Heart not.
And all he could think was—
she’s dangerous in the quietest way possible.
And God help him, he was already in too deep.

Meski seluruh dunia melakukannya
