That's weird. No texts that wish you a 'happy birthday'. No one actually wish you when you met them. It's like they actually just forgot about it.

Walking back to your house with a sulking heart, you opened the front door just to be greeted by your friends and family saying a 'happy birthday!'

What shocked you the most is (character's name), your s/o was the one that planned all of this. They got out of the kitchen while holding a cake while others just sing the 'happy birthday to you' song in the background.

As the cake with (your age) candles was in front of you, they said "Go on love, make your wish."

You closed your eyes while saying your wish in your head and blow the candles out. This moment makes tears came out of your eyes. Tears of happiness.

🌻coriander: what do they love the most about their s/o, both physical and personality-wise?

You’re some whose very easy for him to talk to. He doesn’t feel like you’re judging him, or underestimating his strength, or making any assumptions based on factors outside of his control. He feels like he could tell you anything, and having this emotional security is incredibly important to Marion; it’s always been difficult to let his real feelings shine through, but it wasn’t healthy for him to keep them inside constantly, so he needed a person who he felt could understand him. Even if you didn’t have the same opinions as he did, there was just something that made him comfortable speaking freely with you.

Marion likes your eyes. They’re like windows to the soul, or so Nova used to joke, but he never really understood the phrase ‘getting lost in their eyes’ until you. He could stare into your eyes forever if you let him but normally, you’d get too flustered, having to look away while Marion couldn’t possibly mirror you.

🌻daisy: what is their love language, both giving and receiving?

Giving: Acts of Service. This is more a goal set by himself but Marion likes to prove that he’s ‘useful’ to you; it’s nothing you’ve ever commented on, and you don’t quite know where it came from as its not like he has anything to prove. He just liked the feeling of knowing he was making your day easier, even when he was busy himself he still tried to fit in tasks that would make your day easier by the end of it. It’s not something he willingly admits to, of course, denying that it’s coming from the love he has for you as it would be too embarrassing to admit.

Receiving: Quality Time. Marion isn’t a high-maintenance lover, as much as his standards might have you perceive him that way. He doesn’t want you going out of your way to do things for him, nor does he have a need for endless gifts (although he won’t ever deny home-cooked breakfast). He always preferred doing things together when your free-time allowed it, like cooking together or watching movies with the entire family; at first he was nervous about spending time alone with you but now it’s exactly what he needs to keep his head on straight.

🌻fennel: what are their kisses like? where do they like to be kissed the most?

Marion’s kisses are thoughtful, always coming in a moment that you suspect yet still knocking you off your feet anyway. You can’t help but lean in to him and it’s exactly what he wants, that closeness that comes with being unabashedly in love. He preferred to take the moments slow, as much as his nerves were set alight when you kissed he couldn’t help but want to savor the moment.

He would say the lips if asked but he doesn’t have a preference, a kiss is a kiss but he does like ones he can reciprocate. When you’re quick with kissing him on the cheek or forehead he always tried to grab you before you could get away, which you now made into a game knowing he wanted to reciprocate any affection you gave him. It left you both giggling in a way you didn’t think Marion was capable of before dating him, kissing each other’s faces until your other responsibilities were remembered.

🌻peony: how do they get their s/o to blush? how does their s/o make them blush?

Marion is always proud when he managed to set up a perfectly romantic moment for the two of you to enjoy together, and the confidence he has about knowing you is something you can’t help but blush over. There are some partners who might take a more bashful approach to it but knowing you inside and out is a source of pride for Marion, who put endless effort into your relationship while training his hardest to be a great hero.

Marion is surprisingly easy to make blush, almost like its natural reaction to your presence. It happened when you leaned in close or suddenly start giving him physical affection before he can mentally prepare, or when you sincerely compliment an outfit you think he looks good in. Having any sort of praise coming from you pleased him, but romantic attention made him more nervous than other kids of attention from you.

🌻sweet pea: are they big on cuddling? what is their favorite position to cuddle their s/o in?

Marion enjoyed cuddling as long as he was in a good mood, as he preferred being left alone or not being confined if he was angry/worked up. There are times where he needs comfort that he’ll let you know it’s okay to be close to him, a comforting arm wrapped around his shoulder as he leaned into you and tried to get ahold of himself as he didn’t want your mood to tank alongside his. There’s something inherently comforting about having a person you can simply lean against and absorb their warmth without being questioned on it, although teasing is imminent especially when the cuddling happens on movie nights.

His favorite way to cuddle was when you were on the couch together, a nice blanket spread across your legs, either you curled up into him or him resting his head on your shoulder. He thought it was nice if somewhat distracting, the first few times finding it impossible to fully focus on the movie but eventually falling into a comfortable rhythm where Jacqueline wouldn’t constantly squeal about how cute the two of you were.

Hello anon!thank you so much for the request this was a whole lot of fun writing, and likewise i hope it satisfies your request too! Here’s will sprout your resident sweets enjoyer.

There were very few instances where Will Sprout’s appetite for any sugar glazed sweets fizzled out and he concluded this was one of them, fear pooling quickly in his chest. His usually melted sugar eyes had lost their crinkle and instead were distant, a deep furrow set between his eyebrows as he stared helplessly at his right hand. His lips curled into a thin line when he raised his face to stare around him as if to summon his partner’s silhouette to emerge from one of the large wooden set cafe doors.

“I cant believe i could be this careless in getting distracted,”he murmured to himself as he caught his reflection in his phone. ‘Y/n pick up pick up,’ he willed to his phone and groaned when no one received on the other hand. He had called your phone about 10 times in the past 15 minutes(he counted) and every single time his phone would click off to show his wrung face in the screen. A glimmer of hope struck in his face when he remembered Brad and Oscar were on patrolling the city and he fumbled with his phone to search for their numbers.

Off days days were rare for heroes,much less himself. Amongst patrolling and being dragged by Akira for one more sparing session, he barely had enough time on bone exhausted days to take you out somewhere nice other than the pockets of time he stole to see your smile melt against your features when he brought your favourite sweets and dishes. So when Oscar pulled him aside to tell him he had a day off he had bounded to your door and told you to get dressed hurriedly.

The two of you had been perusing the cafes in the city centre, dazzled by the lights and letting out peals of laughter when the other jumped and grabbed at their partner’s hands to usher them into a shop. The cold had nipped at will’s face and y/n had stopped him near one of the lamp posts,to wrap the scarf will had knitted,around his neck. Will could only watch with adoration and he had rested his hands around y/n’s waist as cold hands folded the scarf this way and that to ensure it was snug. He admitted the flutter in his chest then was more warming than the scarf around his neck.

So where it go wrong?Will had told you to wait outside one of the cafes because he had placed an order for customised cookies of you two that he wanted to surprise you with. He had dashed out to see you gone,leaving Will’s smile to melt from him. The cold had been magical in the way his breath was a huff of still mist and the multi coloured lights strung around the shops but now it seemed foreboding and malicious.

‘Will?Is all well its close to nightfall,’ Oscar’s voice came from the phone Will had pressed to his cheek and Will startled slightly,broken by the trance of remembering your flushed smile when he pressed a gentle kiss to your temple. Will wasted no time recounting to Oscar the details surprised by his own voice that shook slightly and Oscar stayed politely silent,listening with intent and attention. Will finished with a heave of exasperation and a hand raking through his hair,hair soft as spun caramel as he heard you once tell him.

‘I’m scared Oscar the last time i let Akira out of my sight he returned with bruises and with the eclipse not a corner away im not sure-

‘I’m pretty sure i saw Y/n near one of the confectionary shops two streets away from you with a box,’ Oscar cut off politely,his voice gentle. A pause of silence was shared between the two of them during which Will’s chest soared and he clicked off the call,his heels turning this corner and that. The box of cookies was pressed in his hand with urgency and his breath hammered in his chest. It almost felt like possession until he slowed in the street Oscar mentioned.

Found you, he thought when he saw his jacket he had draped over you shoulders as you stood still in the middle of the street craning your head around as if observing . ‘Y/n!!’ He softly called out and saw you turn to him. Your attentive face broke and you gave him a lopsided grin as he jogged to you.

‘How could you disappear so quickly without even telling me where you were did you know how worried i was you promised you,’ his burst faded off when you held forward a cream coloured box the size of both your gloved palms. It’s front had gold satin bow with a W stitched on it in red thread. You gave him a meek bashful smile and lifted the lid of thebox gently to reveal 3 rows of chocolate neatly arranged,all assorted and in the middle were 2 small figurine chocolates,him and you respectfully. Your frosted eyes stared at him and you wore his scarf around your neck. His surprise melted into delight and he let out a soft ‘oh’ before meeting your eyes and wanting to crumble there at the sight of your delighted smile. He dropped his flustered face into your shoulder after taking a few exhausted steps towards you earning laughter from you which only made him even redder.

‘I thought id surprise you with the limited edition ones you were eying a while ago but that wasnt what led me to stray so further from you sunshine,’ you said after he pulled away,using the nickname you had given him which he had a fondness for. You held a finger to your cold lips and he gave you a confused stare before his ears picked up on what you were listening. Unmistakeable whimpering from the din of one of the alleyways,fearful and persistent.

‘You think?’ Will whispered with marvel in his voice. Both of you were a childish image of excitement. Something told Will you had been waiting to take opportunity for a while,only waiting for your boyfriend to materialise.

‘Oh i bet. I just wanted you to be here to see,’ you said grabbing his free hand and leading him to the swarming darkness. Will’s hand curled around yours protectively and he gave it a squeeze when you started clicking your tongue and cooing to lure out what he predicted was a puppy by its cries. He kept his eyes darting around when you pulled out a flash.

‘Oh my goodness’ you squealed and Will lost your hand as you kneeled suddenly only to rise with a bundle in your arms that he could make the outline of in the dark. Will took your phone and pulled both you and the bundle to the light of the streetlights and the dying orange that twilight brought.

He inspected the sight closer now. There nestled in the crook of your arms was undeniably a puppy,its eyes large and wide and its ears drooped. Will gingerly reached out a hand,careful to not scare the already shaking pup,to place a hand on its side. You had leaned into Will, bringing the pup closer between the two of you. The pup’s soft coat of brown was slightly matted and it needed food but Will could already see it had charmed you effectively. And he had to admit, he always wanted a fur ball companion after seeing Buddy tackle Grey at the parks plus it wasnt like he was expecting to leave without announcing it once to take the puppy home.

‘Can we keep it Will,’ you said quietly after a bit. Your expression wasn’t helping matters either,eyes glimmering e/c(eye colour) and it looked like the sky had ripped out a portion of itself to lend you its brilliance and to deny you something was fruitless.

‘Err I would be damned if we don’t. As long as it doesn’t get to steal you away too much from me,’ he chuckled holding his hands out and allowing you to carefully allow the pup to climb in his arms. You had to admit the sight of your boyfriend with his flash of red coloured scarf against the city’s cold bleakness,the newest addition to the two of you and the kiss will dropped on your cheek as he held a pup in one arm and laced a hand with yours, brought a soft smile to your lips. If you could immortalise such a moment in a flurry of sparkle in a small snow globe you would but such wishes were for fairy tales. Therefore, as the two of you made your way down the street to your residence,spirits cheered, you mouthed a silent wish to the night to allow you more moments of such joy in the future. Now with the three of you.

“ah yes, the lively city of blue north”

the voice said, after a relieved sigh. leaving the headquarters behind, you walked with the rookie that was often described as ‘obnoxious’. though you wouldve described him like more of a 'lighthearted bastard’. the night breeze hit you both which made you slightly regret going for a walk with the giant. after all, he was the one who invited you.

you were sitting at your desk, tired from doing some work at the office. stretching your arms above your head, you realised everyone else had gone home - except for you and him. he looked a little beaten up from the combat that afternoon; a huge bruise covered his left bicep. it looked like it would sting but the way he kept pushing the area made it seem harmless. 

your giggle made the other get up and walk over. you were surprised at this sudden action, yet you didn’t expect much of it. maybe, a little 'goodbye’ or 'see you’ as it seemed like he was about to head back home but instead he shot a sweet smile. 

“want to go for a walk?” he asked, spontaneously. 

“what?”

“you heard me, just answer yes or no”

you were blown off by his statement so you needed a little time to process what was happening. “but i have a huge amount of work.”

“and? that doesn’t mean you can’t relax for an hour or two. come on, ill walk you back here once were done,” he persuaded in a genuine tone. you remembered what your mentor said, 'just do it, he won’t stop bothering you unless you go along’

thus, there you were, walking around with him. the sound of cars moving around and music blasting from the karaoke clubs made the journey less awkward. not to mention the amazing blue lights that made the stars seem like meaningless polka dots. you couldn’t believe what you were witnessing as you rarely go out this late, especially on a work night. imagine what you would’ve missed if you had just stayed in doing boring paperwork. 

“don’t you love the bustling city?” he asked, after some time of walking in meaningless directions. the pacing of yours and his feet slowed down upon entering the huge evergreen park that was located in the middle of it all.

“yea but i prefer something a little more calmer,” you told him. “it’s one in the morning and everyone’s still out, probably more energized than ever”

he let out a small laugh - it sounded like warm matcha tea. you grinned at the sight even though you were tired. you both walked in silence once again as the city provided some background tracks. the exit of the pathway was still a long way to go and with that, you decide to ask another question. 

you cleared your throat before saying anything. “do you often take walks like this?”

he placed his hands in the pockets of his uniform vest before answering. “no.” his answer, short and enough for your understanding. yet, you carried on, asking a secondary question.

“then why did you go for one tonight?”

“just felt like it,” his answer had a shortage of words once again, which just seemed like a repeating matter at this point. “plus, you looked like you needed one.”

his response made you stop in your tracks right before the gateway out. he stopped, too, just a few paces after your place. you both had never talked to each other before, in fact, that night was the first time you both had spoken proper sentences outside of meetings. most of the time it was just a bunch of hi’s and hello’s and suddenly he wants to care for you? 

“want to know a secret?” he asked, his voice now more gentle than before. he turned around to face you before you answered with a yes. 

“i know i won’t ever be better than the others but i still try my best. they try to put me down too, but that’s okay,” he said in a melancholic tone and ending it with a chocolate flavoured smile. you were surprised at how well he said that without stuttering or even breaking into tears. that smile, was genuine too. no sort of pain could be detected in that moment. 

“why did you tell me this?” you abruptly asked the hero. the leaves on the trees began to sway as wind danced in the moonlight. a leaf fell on your head but you stood your ground. not wanting to move before he answered your simple question with more than one word. 

“because we’re strangers. aren’t we?” he said in a relaxed tone, and for some reason that pissed you off.

“well, then isn’t it better to tell a close friend rather than a stranger you had just begin talking to?" 

"you say that and yet you trust going on a night walk with me. hypocrisy at its finest.” he was right. this made you want to slap him, but you didn’t. instead, he was the one who went back to you. you closed your eyes, nervous on what he would do to you. you felt his steps coming to a halt before your bodies could touch. you opened your eyes to find him brushing off the leaf earlier. you felt heat creeping onto your cheeks. being flustered and embarrassed wasn’t ever a good combination but why did it feel so.. tingly? like the feeling of your skin brushing against a rough surface. you were getting into something,, but you didn’t know what it was.

the walk back to the main headquarters was quiet too but instead of awkwardness, it felt comfortable as if you both were able to relate to each other. but that was impossible, considering you just started talking today…right? connections build over time,, but in this situation it seemed like time was the hare. your steps felt heavy approaching the entrance, as if your heart never wanted to leave. 

you turned to face him as you felt his gaze from the sidewalk. your smile, soft with a hint of cloud fluff. you both stood there for a while, knowing that neither would make the move to leave. the eye contact between you both felt intoxicating, the good kind. he knew it, too. well, of course he did, he’s a psycho. that bastard rushed up to you, and stood in front of you, close. 

“may i kiss you?” he asked. you nodded, agreeing to whatever he was saying. you were exhausted from the walking and all the fast heart beating he caused. yet, you were still here as he placed his lips on yours.

they were cheerful - like sun rays on a beach day or laughter of children at a playground. his hands snaked around your waist, gripping your form firmly. this felt so wrong. kissing a rookie? your mentor was going to kill you. but was it worth it? yes. fuck, you wanted to kiss him forever but alas every moment has to end. he parted with your lips as a satisfying smile appeared on his face.

you finally snapped back to reality and took your arms off his neck, but his hands were still on your waist. 

“let’s keep this between strangers,” he said before giving a small peck your lips. what the heck? was this a joke? you were confused as to what was going on once again. he filled your mind with questions not even he could answer. you wanted him to stay the night, to make him fall for you like you gradually did for him. you knew he wasn’t a player, as far as you knew, he only had one relationship and they broke it off after a year.

“do you go around kissing other people like that?” you asked, intertwining your fingers with his. 

“sometimes.”

“you’re so messed up.”

“but you were the first one who i genuinely wanted to kiss,” he answered. there he goes again, with the meaningless sentences that could end his life in a second. he was reckless and oh so stupid but god, was he charming. he finally pulled his hand away from yours, signalling it was time to say goodbye. 

“see you never, stranger,” he exclaimed as he reached the sidewalk. he waved goodbye and so did you. as you sat back down on your desk, all that you could think about was him and only him. kissing a stranger was an experience you always wanted to have, yet you were there half regretting it. you kept feeling your lips after that, wanting to light the other matches in that matchbox of emotions. you wanted so much more but nothing else ever happened between you both. 

everything returned as to what had happened before, just greetings and meetings. but this time, butterflies appeared in your stomach whenever you locked eyes with him. it was frustrating to you but he seemed relaxed as ever. stolen glances would make you hope for another good spark, but alas there were none.  after all, you did fall in love with a stranger.

🌻fennel: what are their kisses like? where do they like to be kissed the most? 

Gray’s kisses reminded you of butterflies, soft, gentle, a true blink and you’ll miss it moment as he fluttered close one second but was a million miles away in another. He seemed hesitant even when you made the first move, as if he thought you might just be teasing him and you revoke the privilege at any time. His cautious attitude fits with the rest of him but you do feel a little sad that he doesn’t take the initiative more often, hoping once you build his confidence up a bit more he’ll get a little bolder when it comes to exchanging kisses with you.

The least stressful place to be kissed is the top of his head, so Gray preferred there while he got used to being in a relationship with someone who wanted to kiss him. Not having to see your face or recognize how close you are to him certainly helped some of his nerves, but then your smell would fill his nose and he’d begin to sweat. He never knew if he was reacting the way he should or if you noticed how anxious he was, but it was never because of your own actions, more from his inexperience leading to a head full of doubts.

🌻peony: how do they get their s/o to blush? how does their s/o make them blush?

Making you blush tended to be when Gray was relaxed, gushing to you about this or that, showing you that precious smile of his that always had your heart fluttering. Seeing him trust you was overwhelming, his honesty appreciated and encouraged, though you’re at your most flustered when Jet is the one who comes out to play. He always left you speechless on Gray’s behalf, much bolder with his flirting and leaving Gray reeling over how to apologize properly to you.

Just exist within Gray’s thoughts and the man is a blushing mess. The thought of something you did a year ago would still have the power to fluster Gray, allowing him to get lost in memories of you when he needed a distraction from his anxieties. It’s embarrassing to be reactive the way he is to everything you do but the fact you call it cute (which only made his face grow hotter) made him feel a little better about how weak his heart was when it came to you.

🌻pink camellia: how do they react when their s/o is gone for a week? a month?

Thankfully, Gray being so sensitive to everything about you meant that he could get lost in memories and still feel like you were close, even when you were out of reach. You weren’t offended that the memories bring him comfort because you know Gray always wanted to make new ones, and the thought of him being sad that you were gone would have you never leaving his side again (which might not be possible with the job you have). Anything longer than a week leaves him a little restless, with Gray trying even more to throw himself into training and his hero work to keep himself distracted from worrying about you.

🌻red chrysanthemums: how long does it take for them to say ‘i love you’?

Be patient, as those three little words are a hard hurdle for Gray to jump over; he wants to scream it out after every cute thing that you do, but he doesn't want to chase you away so early in the relationship. It would mostly be his confidence issues speaking to him, telling him he doesn’t deserve to love you and expect the same sentiment to be returned. He’s forever working himself out of old habits like psyching himself out and not taking risks, knowing he had to move out of his comfort zone for the sake of your relationship. It’ll still be awhile before Gray manages to spit it out but he’ll make the moment extra special and you’ll see a side of him that you’d never seen before.

🌻sunflower: how would they confess their feelings to their crush?

Gray was working off an adrenaline rush, with Billy hyping him up to chase after his dreams and do what he felt is right in the moment. The minute Gray had you in his sights, with your full attention now on him, the temporary confidence crumbled and now he had no idea what to do. He was floundering, stuttering out excuses that make no sense, wishing he could just disappear into the floor. But now that you were looking at him expectantly he knew he had to swallow his fear and just spit it out, since Billy had promised to be there for him should anything bad happen during his confession.

You’ll have to earn his friendship first and even then it might take time, but Billy’s constant flirting and allowing you to get closer to him than he’s ever let someone get before.

Cancer Venus. Gray needs some security and affirmations, even with his confident (very slowly) building up; he needs to know he’s not a burden on you, that his faults aren’t deal-breakers, and that you’ll love him despite the great amount of patience it requires to be with him. He’s naturally thoughtful and intuitive, knowing what you need before you even know, and there’s a part of you that wanted to tease him on what an expert boyfriend he was. Having genuine, overwhelming affection suddenly filling his chest gave him an energy that he could only think of doing one thing with. It could be anything innocent, any show of love like doing a task he was actively avoiding, or having a conversation where it showed you truly listened to him. It made him want to kiss you all over, it made him want to return those good feelings by making you feel good in the way he knew how to. There is plenty of passionate, spur-of-the-moment sex where Faith couldn’t help but cling to you in a moment of weakness as he realized just how down bad he was.

🌻sweet pea: are they big on cuddling? what is their favorite position to cuddle their s/o in?

Faith could take it or leave it. He had never been a huge cuddler but it’s not like he’d ever deny you if you wanted to cuddle. He liked it much more after he began dating you, obviously, as he just liked dating overall more after he settled in with you. Expressing affection can still be awkward and mortifying and leave him itchy but it felt nice knowing it wouldn’t be held against him. You don’t push him to do things he doesn’t want to and that leads him to fulfilling your requests even if it’s not something he’s naturally inclined to do.

When cuddling he liked it best when you laid your head on his chest, with him on his back comfortably posed so that you could both be happy. It’s easier to talk when he doesn’t have to look at your eyes, finding he’s a little more loose-lipped when you’re spending time together like this. You get a lot of confessions out of Faith this way, knowing he hated when you saw him blush but keeping the fact you hear his quickening heartbeat with great clarity in this position a secret.

Faith is pretty aware of your moods and what can improve them or make them worse. It can be as simple as him offering an apology and bringing a gift, or taking you out on a spontaneous date so you don’t just mope at home. It really depends on what upset you but he’ll find the time to improve your mood and hopefully get you smiling again, or his own mood would be suffering with you the next few days.

Asch could actually kill a man, if he hadn’t worked so hard to become a hero in the first place. He’s not above being loudly unimpressed with the person, interjecting himself into the conversation when it doesn’t end as quickly as he wanted it to. He could’ve kicked the dude in the face if they kept talking but thankfully, the rancid energy Asch was emitting chased the other person off in a heartbeat. You scold him for not keeping his cool but he didn’t seem to care, knowing he wasn’t gonna let anyone get away with talking to his lover again.

Billy Wise:

Billy isn’t necessarily jealous but he can’t deny his mischievous tendencies, practically skipping over and butting into the conversation (to the surprise of you and the other party). He was quite nosy, pestering them with questions that were mildly threatening in nature, dropping a lot of information that he wouldn’t have known unless he was a stalker (or a super genius hacker~). He didn’t seem angry or flustered at all, looking at you with a smile as he commented you seemed to attract all the odd personalities around the place.

Gray Reverse:

Gray is torn, not wanting Jet to take control but finding he’s fighting for his life after seeing a person flirt with you so blatantly. He was positive he wasn’t needed at this point as you could handle yourself but you seemed to appreciate him coming to stand beside you, nodding his head to show he’d back you up if necessary. Jet seemed to roll his eyes as it was clear the other party deserved a hard punch to the jaw to set them straight but thankfully the other party wasn’t willing to fight after your blunt rejection.

Shin:

Shin is absolutely petty enough to intervene and embarrass the hell out of the person talking to you, asking if they really thought they stood a chance against him. Even if they’re apologetic he’s ruthless, tearing them apart while hardly giving them a second glance. He’s quick to escort you away before you can scold him in front of the stranger, giving an innocent smile as he asked what he did wrong when he was just defending your honor.
