Your next subject will be history of magic. It was your favorite subject.

And if you think favorite subject is equal to being the best in that... You're wrong. You were really smart but not smartest. The smartest was-

Suddenly someone bumped into you. You stumbled a little bit.

"Watch where you're going-"

You yelled at someone and started talking without looking behind you to see who was so clumsy that bumped into you.

"Excuse me?"

Someone said behind you. You turned around to see Scaramouche.

"Oh"

You whispered.

"You should start looking where you're going or someone will mistakes you as a blind person."

Scaramouche said and right after he laughed.

"If I remember correctly you were the one who bumped into me."

You started arguing with him.

"Well I think something else."

After he said that his hand met your back and punched you. You weren't expecting that so you stumbled forward. His figure leaving you, running away from you. Quietly giggling.

Scaramouche.

Smartest person you know. Scara being a Slytherin asshole that was smart as fuck plus him being in your class... You were always on the second place. He was always on the first place and he was oh so happy to be better than you.

That's how rivalry begin.

Him being so proud of himself and you who wanted to show him his weakness.

honestly shifting trauma is so overlooked its crazy

I agree. Like I know not a lot of shifters want to talk about how fucked shit can get but like it gets scary out there and I feel like it’s so irresponsible to pretend it’s all glitz and glamor.

Like genuinely I feel like a lot of people don’t understand just how real it is. Like obviously it’s as real as ours but it’s a really difficult thing to fully comprehend until you’ve actually done it. I worry so much for people shifting to places like Attack on Titan. Like are you prepared to see your friends get eaten alive in front of you. “Oh I knew that they were gonna die so I’ll be fine” these are real people you’re going to be in close proximity with you’re most likely going to get attached to in some capacity and even if you’re not it’s difficult to watch people die in front of you. And that goes for anywhere with any kind of violence. In Demon Slayer I almost threw up hearing and smelling demons, humans being devoured, etc. and it’s going to stick with me forever. I might not always think about it but when I do it fucks with me. The violence I’ve been forced to commit on other people because my life was on the line in most of my DRs fucks with me too.

I feel like we should talk about it more and we just don’t and it’s really upsetting cuz now I feel like I’m crazy for being so shaken about it, or being devastated by a friend’s death. Why should I feel weird for not being over the fact I was fucking strangled. Idk it just upset me that everyone wants to act like it’s got no flaws

Hogwarts AU headcanons 1

Kamisato Ayato ✧ Slytherin

✧ Ayato was sorted into Slytherin without much thought from the Sorting Hat. Even before he got to Hogwarts, he had a feeling that he was going to get there. As the heir to the Kamisato family and a pureblood wizard, he had little choice.

✧ He is extremely smart and resourceful. His scheming began from the first year, when he got in older classes’ bad books. They made an obvious mistake. They made a fool of themselves. They wanted to get him a few days later but they fall onto the teacher who chased Ayato down the long hall at night. The matter did not end there. He always found ways to fool them when they tried again. He quickly gained respect among the Slytherins and soon after other houses as well.

✧ His activities led to the founding of an elite group of students called the Shuumatsuban. Everyone knows that they exist but hardly anyone has any idea what they actually do or where to find them. You can only join by special invitation. Apparently, they keep order because they are especially liked by students who are unjustly harmed.

✧ Ayato felt that his little sister would end up in a different house than his own. He's happy about it. Their parents are dead and they carry the burden of great responsibility for the future of the family, so he hoped that her school years would be a respite.

✧ He's one of the few people who hasn't slept once in history of magic. Thoma couldn't help admiring his friend.

✧ Ayato happens to do something different than he should in class, but no one has caught him yet.

Naganohara Yoimiya ✧ Hufflepuff

✧ Yoimiya works hard at school to return to her grandfather as soon as possible. Her parents are no longer with her, so he takes care of her upbringing. She had never spent any worlds at Hogwarts. Legend has it that she is the first person to leave the school when it is time to return.

✧ She bought an owl so she could write home as often as possible. Grandpa sends her presents far too often. If it is food, she will immediately share it with others. Mainly because she has a lot of friends and colleagues. Really many. Ask anyone who knows her, they will surely say yes.

✧ In her free time, she likes to go to Hogsmeade and look for materials to make fireworks. She sells them to others for small amounts of money. She loves to see them happy when they fire them. She must be careful not to earn negative points for her house for this because the students slowly stop hiding with explosives.

Albedo ✧ Ravenclaw

✧ Meeting him is a miracle. He comes to class and always disappears somewhere. If you want to see him, it's best to contact Sucrose, otherwise he's hard to find. She has trouble with it herself.

✧ He used to hang out in the library at first but since students started coming in asking for tutoring, he found a different place.

✧ The boy has the highest scores in all the exams he takes, although he doesn't study much for them. He spends most of his time researching areas that really interest him. His teachers predict a bright future for him in the field of Transfiguration and Potions.

✧ Albedo managed to summon a Patronus very quickly compared to others. He took the form of a spider.

✧ He occasionally sketches but never shows his work to others. He doesn't feel the need to brag about it. Cards with his drawings can often be found in the Ravenclaw common room. He doesn't even know how other people admire them.

Hu Tao ✧ Gryffindor

✧ The girl everyone is secretly afraid of. Eccentric and very different from her peers. Usually everyone wants to be friends with her until they get to know her interests better.

✧ Very often she can be found in the company of an older student. Zhongli listens to all of her reasoning and seems to genuinely want to learn from her, though everyone knows that he probably knows more than her. Nobody understands their relationship.

✧ Hu Tao loves the Forbidden Forest. Nobody knows how but she manages to avoid teachers and sneaks out there very often. Interestingly, she is still alive. She somehow gets along with the various creatures that inhabit it, which then results in top marks in Care of Magical Creatures. Teachers regret that she does not pay attention as much attention to the rest of the subjects and barely passes them.

✧ Her parents were non-magical gravediggers and she wants to follow in their footsteps. After passing her exams, she intends to open her casket shop for wizards in Diagon Alley.

✧ She has a habit of spooking people out of the blue.

✧ Hu Tao often talks to the castle spirits. She especially loves to hear about the details of their deaths.

✧ She never gave much thought as to why Gryffindor. During the ceremony she stated that she didn't care. The tiara mentioned something about courage but who would remember that...

You didn't even know how you ended up here.

Just a week ago you were fighting off some high ranked fatui, though in midst of battle you were struct by one of them.

Within the week you took the time to figure out where the hell you were.

No longer were there fields of endless grass and hills, mountains and clear skies—there was only dreadful dull colors, metals and woods, and dark skies.

During your forced stay, you found out that everyone was visionless and your norms such as weapons, guilds and such's use were non-existant.

On the bright side you didn't need to worry about demons or fatui.

That was until you found out about wizardy and witchy magic and the news about this hotshot boy who survived a lethal attack

(For Morax's sake, you js wanted to be sent back 💀🙏)

After a few weeks more, you recieved a letter via..owl?? Opening it you found some gray powder, which you later learn is traveling dust known as floo powder. (Now who in Morax's green earth named that sh-)

It took a few hours to try getting everything on the list, and while doing so ran into a giant fat man, you couldn't defer between the two and the 'boy who lived'. (Honestly you didn't understand why it was such a big deal, he lived, hooray?)

Finally at the last shop, you picked up a wand, unfortunately non of them came to you so you just settled with a random stick you found on the ground, and with a little help from your divine archon powers, you managed to make it look like a wand.

You were thankful you blended in with 11-12 year olds as being an archon allows you to shape shift. (It was a bit weird but hey, you're not tied to Celestia anymore so free will 🦅)

Getting on the train you were greeted with a glare from a greasy platinum haired boy and his goons. He said something about his name being Drago Melatone or something.

On the train ride, you sat in a compartment away from people, during that time you reminisced about your life, slowly missing it. You started to hate it here — it was different...too different.

Finally arriving, you were greeted with the same man you bumped into from before at the shops, who guided you all to some boats.

You were a bit surprised of them moving on they're own but it wasn't anything too special. (You may or may not have used some power to quicken up the boat)

The closer you neared to the school, the more in aw of a trance you were in. The place looked regal and magical, you were impressed with it's designing.

Finally arriving at the castle, you were guided flights of stairs before a elderly woman in fine deep green velvet robes stood before you all, starting to explain houses and how they worked.

you found it amusing how someone picked up a frog from the front, earning a look from the professor.

Afterwards, the greasy boy from the train started yapping on who you found to be a Weasley and the chosen one before being tapped by the professor.

The inside dining hall was quite magical, floating candles and starry skies above.

"It's not real you see...-" And thats when you blanked out, not wanting to ruin the magic.

A old wizard with a long fluffy beard gave a speech, introducing Filch, a care taker who looked quite the opposite.

Finally it was sorting time, first was the same girl from a few moments ago who you learned to be Hermoine Granger, then Draco Molfoy, Susan Bones, Ron Weasely, Harry Potter and then you.

"Hmm..not quite from here..?" "intelligent, resourceful and quiet, yet courageous but mindful."

"I must say, you are a tricky one Ms. (L/n)...Gryffendor!"

This is one hell of a school...

Baizhu x Reader Hogwarts AU

Genshin Impact but Hogwarts AU (pls don't kill me I just somehow thought of the AU one day and threw Genshin characters inside, fuck JKR) headcanon where Baizhu gets sorted into Slytherin because of his Parseltounge powers (and him having Changsheng as a pet) but gets bullied because he's "too nice to be in Slytherin", he's an outcast in his house. To make things worse, people in the other houses fear him-- he's a Parseltounge when others expected none after Harry Potter and Voldemort, how can they not fear him? Rumors spread about him, about how he's secretly the new "heir of Slytherin" or the "Dark Lord Reincarnated". That would definitely gain him respect and popularity before the Great War, but it's been over 25 years since the war had ended and it't not the case now. Nobody wants another war.

Then he meets you. You, as a popular, bold daredevil Gryffindor, goes into the Forbidden Forest alone at midnight because your rival Scaramouche dared you to. Your friend Diluc, a descendant of the Dumbledore family, and his stepbrother Kaeya had warned you about the possible dangers of the Forest, especially to a first-year girl. Alone. At midnight. But you insist. You want to show Scara that he's the chicken, not you.

You enter the forest in the dead of night, with your wand and the only two spells you knew (Lumos and Wingardium Leviosa). Yes. That would be enough to fight off anything that's unlucky enough to get hurled in your way-- you've heard the tale of Ronald Weasley knocking out a grown troll too many times. But things don't work that way. An hour in and you find yourself attacked by centaurs, just because your Lumos spell went wrong and sent an explosion at the creatures. You try to cast a Wingardium Leviosa, but you forget-- is it swish and flick, or flick and swish? Does it go LeviOsa or LeviosA? You regret not listening to Diluc and Kaeya, and you make a mental note to roast the smirk off Scara's face if you get out of this alive ("I survived a centaur attack, what about you?" You imagine yourself saying to the arrogant Slytherin). Then you forget that you're still in combat. And you still have no idea how to cast a Wingardium Leviosa strong enough to lift up something lethal for combat.

A centaur charges at you when you're still forcing yourself to remember how to properly pronounce the spell. You decide to forget about magic and find a way to run away-- hey, at least you still have bragging rights about how you got attacked by a bunch of centaurs and lived to tell the story. However you look around to see the centaurs have formed a circle around you, leaving you no choice but to stay. And get shot by arrows until you become a human hedgehog or die, either comes first.

As you dread about which is worse-- getting killed or facing Scara's jeers and Diluc and Kaeya's "I told you so"s after this when the centaurs nock their arrows, a flash of green flies out from the bushes, hitting a centaur. The others scatter and run away, but you panic more. The only spell you've heard of that has a green flash was the Killing Curse. Was that a remainant of the the Death Eaters? Or worse, another Dark Lord in training? You get down, hide yourself in your robe and hold your breath, hoping that any person attacking the centaur won't notice you.

You hear footsteps. From under your robe, you can see the tail of a Slytherin scarf. Was that Scara? Did he plan this all along, just to see you miserable and defeated? You shake your head at the thought. He's just like you-- a first-year. There's no way he can master such a complex spell like that. And he might be annoying as heck, but not pure evil. At least not now.

"Chillax, Firenze..." You hear someone say in a soothing voice, "She's just a student, not a Death Eater..."

"But she just hurled an explosion at us!" Firenze the centaur bellowed. He's still alive.

"Nobody was hurt. I'd ask her about her motives later."

You hear more rustling and tugging sounds. "Get these damned vines off me first!"

Another flash of green. The clip-clopping of hooves off into the distance. Firenze is gone. Now you're alone with this mysterious person who saved you.

You push your torso up to see a student in his school robes. Nothing special, just the typical green Slytherin robes with the green scarf coiled around his arm. He had long green hair, with golden-rimmed glasses, and was much taller than you were, and you've never saw him before. Or maybe you simply forgot about him.

Then you notice the white, long thing coiled around his neck. You first thought that it was a vine, given that this person is most likely the same guy who tied Firenze up with vines. But you see two red rubies sticking out of the vine.

It's not a vine. It's a snake.

You have heard from Diluc and Kaeya about a third-year Slytherin with his pet snake around his neck, about how dangerous he is as a Parseltounge. But hey, he's still the person who saved your life. You at least have to thank him for that.

You gulp before asking, "Thanks, but... who are you? And... why are you here?"

"The name's Baizhu. I guess you've heard of me before. It's normal to be scared," he replies, golden eyes closing as a smile. The snake spits out its tounge, which doesn't help much with relieving your fear. "And come on, Changsheng! Don't scare her!" Baizhu turns towards the snake.

It's him they're talking about. The one you have to avoid. But your curiosity about the reason why he ended up here still overcomes your fear. "What brings you here?" You ask, holding up your wand even though you probably can't even cast a Lumos.

"-I came for the herbs. I need them for making a new healing potion-" He coughs, but his smile doesn't falter.

"Herbs? For a healing potion?" You crook a brow and blurt, "That seems too pathetic for an excuse."

Baizhu doesn't seem affected by your remark. "Yes. The materials used to make healing potions taught in our textbooks are way too ineffective when it comes to sprains. So I'm thinking about using Amakumo Fruit instead of small lamp grass..." He explains.

You nod as you notice the sky becoming slightly purple. It's beautiful, with the fireflies in the woods. You've always loved the sunrise. But that means breakfast is going to start soon, and you know the trouble you'd be in if the whole Hogwarts population find you rushing towards the Great Hall from the Forest, covered in grass and mud.

"It's almost morning. I have to go back." You say, trying to climb up and leave. Then a sharp pain hits you in your right leg, and you fall back down onto the ground.

"You ok?" Baizhu asks, expression concerned. You look at your right leg. A long stripe of blood seeps through your sock, dying the fabric crimson. "Oh dear. Your leg."

"No shit, Sherlock," You say through gritted teeth as Baizhu fumbles for something in a pouch he carries around on his waist.

He finally hands you a glass bottle with blue liquid inside. "Here's a healing potion I made just in case. I guess I'd be using it on you." He chuckles.

You look at the blue liquid. What if it's not safe? But the pain in your leg stops you from thinking more so you unstopper the bottle and drink from it like a man dying of thirst-- then you feel an urge to spit it out.

"Why is this so bitter?!" You say after forcing yourself to swallow the poison potion, "Is this poison?" Even Changsheng looked like it were smirking. But your leg does feel better.

Baizhu tries to hold back laughter. "Good potions are always bitter," He says, leading you back on your feet.

As the sun continues to rise, you and Baizhu walk out of the Forest. Maybe he wasn't that scary anyways.

Gryffindor

Diluc -> his tenacity and ambition out weigh his smarts, kindness, and cunningness.

Jean -> i don't feel like i have to explain why Jean is a Gryffindor.

Eula -> i don't feel like i have to explain this one either.

Amber -> although Amber is very kind and would fit in with Hufflepuff, i felt like her outgoing personality fit Gryffindor better.

Diona -> she has a lot of personality. i didn't think she would fit in anywhere else.

Noelle -> she is Gryffindor you can not change my mind.

Razor -> i felt like his willingness to go into danger was stronger than his kindness.

Hufflepuff

Klee -> she's too sweet to be anywhere else but Hufflepuff.

Barbara -> i didn't feel like she would fit in any other house.

Bennett -> he's much more social and caring than he is ambitious.

Sucrose -> i don't think i have to explain this.

Slytherin

Venti -> he's just too sneaky and mysterious.

Fischl -> she just felt like a Slytherin.

Kaeya -> do i need to explain?

Lisa -> i think it's pretty obvious why she's in Slytherin.

Rosaria -> she's too cunning and sly to be anywhere else.

Albedo -> i don't think i need to explain.

Mona -> she's really smart apparently.

Mika -> he's also very smart apparently.

Kequing -> she is super smart but she's also very ambiguous and straightforward.

Xiao -> i don't feel like i have to explain this one.

Beidou -> this one is obvious.

Xiangling -> i felt like her ambitiousness and dedication out weighed her kindness.

Hufflepuff

Childe -> despite being evil, calculated, and intelligent (?), Childe is so sweet, charismatic, and caring when he's around people he trusts.

Qiqi -> her personality is very hufflepuff ig.

Chongyun -> he's a sweetheart, prove me wrong.

Xinyan -> honestly idk, she just gives off hufflepuff vibes.

Yun Jin -> she is hufflepuff.

Yao Yao -> how can you not put her in hufflepuff?

Slytherin

Baizhu -> he literally has a pet snake.

Hu Tao -> she's always so mysterious and sneaky.

Yelan -> i don't think i need to explain.

Ganyu -> she's actually like really really smart.

Zhongli -> he won the archon war so he has to be like really smart.

Nigguang -> she literally runs liyue.

Xingqiu -> he's very book smart.

Kaedehara Kazuha -> i don't think i need to explain.

Gorou -> he lead troops into battle.

Kuki Shinobu -> she literallly leads a gang when itto is too busy procastinating.

Kujou Sara -> she is so, so loyal and extremely dedicated.

Itto -> okay i know he leads a gang but he's such a softie and it's basically kuki leading the gang.

Kamisato Ayaka -> she does kind of fit in with gryffindor but i felt like her personality aligns better with hufflepuff.

Yoimiya -> she's so bubbly and kindhearted.

Kirara -> i don't think i need to explain.

Sayu -> she doesn't fit in with anything else...

Thoma -> he's so cuteeeeeeeee and like the sweetest person ever.

Slytherin

Kamisato Ayato -> he's often seen as a mysterious and sly person.

Kokomi -> she's a war tactician and is really good at saying the right things.

Yae Miko -> i don't think i need to explain.

Heizou -> his personality is what made me think he fit in with slytherin.

Ravenclaw

Raiden Ei -> she helped build a bunch of copies of herself...

Cyno -> he's brave and loyal. what else is there to say?

Dehya -> she's brave and loyal. what else is there to say?

Candice -> even though she's very kind and smart i feel like the hardworking and just side of her is more prominent.

Collei -> she is very sweet but she is so, so brave and adventurous.

Kaveh -> his ambitions out weigh his other attributes in my opinion.

Hufflepuff

Nilou -> i don't feel like i need to explain.

Slytherin

Scaramouche -> i think we all agree that scaramouche is a slytherin.

Dori -> i don't think i need to explain this one.

Ravenclaw

Alhaitham -> i'm pretty sure he's like the smartest person in sumeru.

Nahida -> she's the archon of wisdom...

Tighnari -> i don't think i need to explain.

Faruzan -> i don't think i need to explain.

Layla -> she's super sweet but she's literally a genius.

Gryffindor

Clorinde -> she seems like a hardworking, diligent, and loyal person.

Wriothesley -> i don't think i need to explain this one.

Furina -> even tho she like tricked herself i feel like furina's personality is so bubbly and childish.

Navia -> i don't know much about her yet but she just gives off hufflepuff vibes.

Sigewinne -> same as Navia.
