The Water is Calling ☎️💧

You may be introduced to or have a heightened sense of water spirits such as sirens/mermaids. Though water spirits are not limited to these beings alone, its simply important to know they are present more than ever as we get closer and closer to The New Era (Saturn in Pisces eff. March 2025). Siren/ mermaid spirits and energy is a unique blend of water and air that can show up as a spirit or manifest in your being. Those who have mermaid/siren/water spirits can literally channel the energy and prowess of these beings. It may look like spell casting or being adept and artful with words, it may also look like being blessed with beauty. Understand that water spirits are not all love and light. They are quite dangerous. 👼🏼Prepare for Rebirth

Back in March 2024 when the first Pisces New Moon (total solar) Eclipse occured I channeled an important message about rebirth occuring. Since then I've stated many times that this New Era will require many of us to be born again, not literally, but spiritually. We will be blessed with new emotional bodies freed from some pains and traumas of the past, heighten intuition and a stronger sense of destiny and purpose over our lives. Many of us will experience a reawakening / continuing renaissance. Here's 4 things that REBIRTH will require of you : 1. A Body : we must be grounded into our physical bodies and reality, no longer disassociated, numbed or dismissive of what we feel and experience physically and emotionally. 2. Spiritual Connection : we must have a belief system & faith practice in place to connect to source for divine guidance. Otherwise how will we carry out divine will? We must simultaneously come into deep(er) relationship with our physical while maintaining & upholding the spiritual. . . 3. A Destiny / Calling / Purpose : pick which word suits you best, but you need to have some clue of why you are here. How can you use your body, your being to carry out a divine path? Moving into 2025 means no longer being clueless or aimless with your life. 4. Balance between Solitude & Unity : being both equally apart of something bigger, yet individual & whole within your self. Understand that solitude is not a punishment or a space of lack, but a sacred space that prepares you, restores you and gifts you clarity on your journey. Embrace shared space just as much as ones that aren't and you will see life differently as well as be prepared to handle the REBIRTH.

Sometimes Your Anxiety, Triggers, Trauma & Disorders are Your Intuition❗️

is it chronic, random, environmental or situational issues that you have? Seriously, stop and answer this in regards to your health. If you experience chronic ailments due to trauma,etc. you need to stop using spirituality and ancient or even new age practices to escape the help you really need! Love & Light, shadow work & positive affirmations are not going to heal a chronic issue. It's okay to coexist in spiritual spaces and still seek medical care for your emotions, mental & physical wellness. Stop gaslighting yourself. However, if you notice that these same issues may not necessarily be chronic, its time for you to unlearn the belief that "your anxiety/triggers/depression/other mental, physical & emo health disorders are seperate from your intuition". Beloved, something or someone is causing you to spiral out of control into these spaces. It's up to you to sit with your experience and ailments and figure out what is creating this response within your body, mind and spirit. When we're able to extract the wisdom and insight from our bodies THIS is when we are able to access our intuition. Our intuition is not always perfectly seperated or presented to us in a zen little box. Sometimes its loud, uncomfortable, confusing and mind warping because sometimes your intuition isn't even about you. Its a triggered response from your guides, ancestors & higher self pointing to a person or experience that is uncomfortable, draining, confusing, depressive, dangerous and more. At this eclipse Spirit needs you to embarce ALL FORMS of your intuition and for those struggling with trauma, deep wounds and chronic issues : get the help you really need so you can truly find your intuition and reclaim your faculties.

🎣🚫Stop Biting the Bait

It's time to realize when you're being bullied/teased/taunted/picked on to insight a reaction and there for taint your character. When you realize that some people are setting you up or running an agenda you can stop reacting to the disfunctional pattern and falling for the trap. It's just like click bait on Youtube. Are you literally gonna watch every video that says "MANIFEST INSTANTLY WITH 5 SIMPLE STEPS"... no. eventually you will realize that these people just want views & money, they don't actually have anything that will instantly change your life. Abusers & manipulators study those they want to keep trapped to use & fulfil their needs and they know exactly what to do to keep you in the loop. If its negative, end the cycle of emotional & psychological manipulation.

Learn to Check the Temperature🌡️

this year I've been doing more “temperature checking” with people and situations before I assume or handle things according to what I am feel. Unknowingly we can internalize an experience of someone else's mood or presence which has the power to alter the reality of the situation/person. Its important to verbalize emotions and ASK QUESTIONS before we act on or interpret feeling alone. Temperature checking is simply communicating & questioning intangibles : expressing your personal feelings, letting others know when something is too much, uncomfortable or unnecessary at the moment, as well as setting the energetic/emotional tone or expectation of an experience you are sharing with others. Temperature checking has the power to dispel wrong energies or mixed emotions that are fueled by anxiety or eagerness about what will happen by bringing things and people more in tune & focused on what they’re creating/experiencing in the present. . .

🎭Face Value : is it helping/hurting?

Sometimes face value can be used to undermine, discredit and even disassociate us from our intuiton, feelings and body. Face value , aka : taking information or actions that are display literally, is a form of trust that is EARNED and can be taken away. It's important that we're not overly skeptical and paranoid about everything and everyone, but its also equally okay to need PROOF as to why you should believe and trust someone/something too. When we blindly trust people based on popularity or the benefit of doubt, we ignore our wisdom, body, intuition & experience. Face value can set us up for failure and allow people to play in our face. Make sure that "not making everything deep" is not the thorn in your side at this eclipse as well as we moving forward. Sometimes it is deeper and you need to move accordingly. . .

many of us have gotten to points in our life where we've done the bulk of the hard work spiritually, mentally, physically & emotionally. We should give ourselves GRACE. You know wether or not you've done the work. If this Eclipse has triggering events for you, you probably still have work to do. If this Eclipse seems like "just another day" and alarms aren't sounding off, you've done what you need to do! Congrats! If you are this point, understand we cannot rush anything no matter how much we pour into, focus on or try to stay ahead, on track and aligned... We must remember we're on a JOURNEY and there are things both out of our control and meant for us to experience at specific timing, even if our name is written on it. Meditate and pray for guidance on what rest is for you at this time and allow your mind and body to alert you when you have enough of it vs. letting society/external sources tell you.

letting go, letting God & allowing yourself to be fully in the your now is what's best. Living in the past or pushing yourself into the future is robbery. These are concepts and themes that have shown up in so many collective readings over the past year. It's about time we master them! These are also protective measures we can take to ensure we're not trying to dominate anyone/anything outside of ourselves. Seeking to control anything other than yourself, means you are actually out of control.

🎯Be Intentional

The 5 of Clubs is asking us to clarify our intentions by taking time to think about the purpose of what we're doing and engaging with. It's also asking us to consider how we may need to change our focus & move differently. Some things may be too draining and heavy to keep carrying past this eclipse. It's time to cut some more baggage loose to clear psychic & energetic space. Some of us also need to literally move! Relocation is a topic I've been channeling for a while. Sometimes it is your environment that has nothing left to offer, not you. Use this eclispe to help you refocus and get crystal clear on your intentions moving forward.

Discretion is Advised

Spirit is advising us to protect ourselves. Not everything deserves a reaction or response (as discussed above ⬆️) and even though face value can be dangerous, it can also be a protective measure used to keep things appropiate, measureable and discrete. Privacy is an important theme in 2024. Yes there may be liars, manipulators, fakeness and more amongst us, but its not always our job to expose it. We simply take note and move accordingly.

The most important message that repeatedly presented itself was during my channeling for the eclipse :

Sacred Solitude

sacred solitude is the primary medicine that will allow us to truly rest, surrender, detach, be present, reset, cleanse & clear our energies as well as stay intentional. Constantly stimulating ourselves, being engaged and involved is so unhealthy. Yet, it is what this world tells us we need. How can you know yourself, hear your intuition, feel your spirit if you are never alone? This eclipse is a major opportunity to reunite and appreciate yourself and tend to your internal. When the internal is at peace, in love and with joy, the external will adjust. I believe that everyone wants community and relationships where to share the best, sweetest moments and help with carrying burdens alike, but this eclipse is ultimately all about you! Reclaim your body, strengthen your intuition, quiet all noise and distractions through sacred solitude. Remember, you may be in the process of your REBIRTH and a level of solitude is a requirement for where you're going. . .

Finding hope among the grim realities of climate change

"What role can each of us play in creating a more sustainable future? That's a question marine biologist and conservation strategist, Ayanna Elizabeth Johnson, explores in her new book, What If We Get It Right, Visions of Climate Futures. And she joins us now to talk about it. Ayanna, welcome to 1 a. Thanks for having me. And we wanna hear from you. How are you trying to make a difference in the environment where you live? Email us at 1a@wamu.org. Ayanna, before we get into the book, let's just first address the elephant in the room, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change or IPCC. They've warned for years about the critical threshold of 1.5 degrees Celsius of warming, which could lead to loss of coral reefs, irreversible ice melt, drought, and an uptick in heat related deaths. And climate scientists warn we could reach that threshold before 2030 if we keep emitting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere at the rate we're currently going. Despite that, what makes you optimistic about the future of our planet?

00:01:39 Well, I guess the most important thing is I wouldn't actually describe myself as an optimist. I mean, the title of the book, What If We Get It Right, has a question mark at the end of it. I'm not sure if we will. Right? I mean, I'm a scientist. I'm a realist. I've seen these scientific projections that you're talking about. And there's certainly a path with the one that we're on, which is not that great. It's possible that we'll have much more warming, and all of the extreme weather that goes along with that, right? The wildfires, the floods, the droughts, the sea level rise, the storms, all of that is those changes are already here and more is on the way, But we could chart a different path. We could deploy the many, many climate solutions we already have at our fingertips. And I think that's the sort of open secret of it all. We don't need to wait for some new technology. We just need to get to it. You know? We already know how to produce clean energy. Solar and wind are happening so fast, faster than anyone had anticipated those industries would grow. We know how to improve transportation and electrify that, how to improve public transit. I mean, we know how to do high speed trains. I wish we were doing that in America. That's like my big dream. We know how to green buildings and improve efficiency of all of our use of energy. We know how to farm better. We know how to improve our agricultural system to be lighter on the planet, and we know how to protect and restore ecosystems and take advantage of the magic that is photosynthesis. So I think the reason that I'm motivated, if not optimistic, is be because we have a huge range of possible climate futures. And a lot hangs in the balance of if we have 1.5 degrees of warming or 2.5 degrees Celsius, we're talking. So these are, like, many more degrees Fahrenheit. Right? It's the difference between a fever of a 100 for a human body and the fever of a 104. And we all know personally that that is a massive difference. So if we think of the planet in that way, I think we'll have a bit more sensitivity there. But what if we get it as right as possible maybe is a better way to say it because we could have a much more beautiful and and healthy and livable future than the one we're currently headed towards. Common misconception.

At first, she broke apart time and space to look for another way so she wouldn't have to kill him. Yes...at first.

But she did not agree to set things back if he married her.

River did not force the Doctor's hand in marriage. I cannot impress upon that (unfortunately popular) notion enough.

"River, there's no other way!"

"I didn't say there was, Sweetie."

As implied by the beard the Doctor has grown, enough time has passed by in that timeline. Enough time for young (!!) River to have realized that there was indeed no other way to proceed except for her to kill the Doctor.

So mind made up, she has the Doctor brought to Pyramid HQ. All that was left for her to do before she had to kill him was to impress upon him that he is loved "by so many and so much, and by no one more than her" because he was so ready to die believing that no one really cares and that he can just disappear quietly into the shadows.

River broke apart time and space to dispel that notion.

There was absolutely no need for them to get married. AT. ALL.

It was the Doctor's choice. He chose to marry her.

That moment when the Doctor found the answers to the how's and the why's and the what's he'd been asking since he found out he married this time-travelling archeologist sometime in his future.

He could have just simply touched her wrist. That was all it took. A simple touch to restore the broken timelines.

But no, that was the penultimate part of the path he'd started from the moment he first remembered meeting her. The moment he knew was coming since that fateful day in the Library.

A path he used to run hard and fast away from because he knew how it would end. He saw how it would end.

But with the 200+ years spent running across time and space with River, he began running to her instead.

That moment on the top of a pyramid with the timey-wimey beacon River built (I'm the Child of the TARDIS. I understand the physics.) surrounded by billions of lights in the sky that weren't actually solar flares but everyone who came to heed River's distress call to help save the Doctor.

You can see the moment he makes the decision to marry River. The name-giving moment may not have happened then but it definitely happened. My favorite headcanon is that the name wasn't actually a word but more of like a higher dimension thing? I read a fic about it and loved the idea. It would explain the Doctor's flabbergasted look when River supposedly whispered his name in the Library. "She's a human (right?) who's an archeologist who somehow was able to 'relay' my name. Only Time Lords could do that. Or not. Maybe? Dunno."

That's also the first time the Doctor shows River to trust that he always has a plan – whether it's a bit foolhardy, spur of the moment, he still always manages to drum up a plan. We see that firm trust in action in previous episodes – where River jumps out of tall buildings and spaceships, when she introduces him to Father Octavian as someone equivalent (-ish) to an army (or even better). The former produces nothing but a sly smirk - the Dust Goddess, despite her kindness and wisdom was still a formidable opponent, another competitor for the title of the Seven.

The latter, however, makes you both frown and sigh in relief - the Vortex Lord was your ally, a needed help to fight and defy Morax of Guili plains, yet he also was a future enemy - the grounds of your so called alliance were shaky, unreliable, ready to change at any moment like dark waters you both command.

Now, with him sealed away you don’t have to worry, you don’t have to worry about Osial turning against you, you have to worry about facing the Lord of Rock alone instead.

“Out”, you dismiss Periboea, sensing the forming headache. What should you do? What should you do? With the Guizhong out of the picture it would be easier for both you and Osial to finally overpower Morax and take over the plains if it wasn’t for him being sealed away.

You stay motionless and deep thought for a while, thousands of possibilities appearing in your mind - none of them a clear solution, a path to absolute victory. Suddenly water spirits visit your abode, bowing in both fear and deep respect - Morax has made a new step in this bloody version of xiangqi. You stand up then, gritting your teeth and taking your weapon - war never waits.

With no reckless but also insanely strong and fast Osial by your side, Morax’s power shines in a new light - his presence is felt everywhere, despite his figure still being unseen. You call to the power of the seas, sending wave after wave to look for your enemy, until a voice booms nearby.

Ah.

That’s why you couldn’t see him.

Morax looks pitifully small and weak in his human form - with a razor sharp talons and long serpentine body replaced by the soft mortal flesh he doesn’t inspire usual awe or terror, yet you keep your guard up. He stands on the shore, surrounded by his lackey adepti near some strange machine.

Guizhong was working on that ballista, you realize, focusing your eyes a bit longer.

“[First]”, Morax says, his usually calm voice now gravelly and dead - Guizhong’s passing must have been hard on him.

“Morax”, you reply, understanding his intention - it’s the last battle then.

You start to fight - adepti lunge at you, while their lord stays on the ground, fiddling with the ballista. You keep an eye on him, while carefully evading the blows from his lackeys - they might be lesser creatures, but even a snake can kill a lion, so you keep a distance, slowly but surely approaching the sandy shore.

“Now”, Morax yells, to his adepti, not you. You quickly turn in his direction, alarmed of what he might do next, only to see a bright glowing bolt shooting your way. The time freezes, as you scramble away and somehow you succeed, projectile grazing only a side of you.

“Huh”, you whimper, seeing how the nearby waters turn red from your blood - oh, Morax will pay for that. You will make him pay for that.

“Oceanids!”, you command your servants, voice travelling through the entirety of the seas: “rip Morax’s loyal dogs to shreds”, a thousand of voices echo your war cry, water spirits finally emerging from the blue deeps.

With the loch folk on the surface, the tides of battle turn against your opponents, as you shift your look on the Morax again - he feeds ballista his energy, hastening the next shot - you won’t have it. Focusing hydro energy is easy, forming your own water mimic is even easier.

You send the replica of a great leviathan to Morax’s direction, the volume of water splatters everywhere upon crushing on the shore, breaking Guizhong’s last masterpiece. This prompts Morax to finally face off you, with his spear in hand and fierce amber eyes burning brighter than any star.

“You will pay for that”, he whispers, the dragon evident in each syllable.

“We’ll see”, you taunt, finally taking out your weapon. Your battle looks like a dance, with your moves fluid and flexible, yet fast and unstoppable, like a river flowing in the spring. A laugh escapes your lips, the thrill of the battle getting into your head, so you don’t notice his lackeys disappearing from the battlefield.

“Now”, Morax says again, looking past you.

A blindingly bright bolt flies into your direction - you haven’t destroyed the ballista completely - there's not enough time to dodge.

It goes right through you.

You scream.

Everything fades to black.

You wake up in the unfamiliar room, clothed in the unfamiliar clothes and surrounded by unfamiliar things. You can’t sense the call of Celestia, meaning that you’re either outside the Teyvat or in someone’s pocket dimension. This is bad. You almost jerk, but you can't - a burst of pain explodes in your solar plexus upon the slightest of movements.

With a shaking hand you touch your midriff, feel a hastily sewn hole and then you come to a horrifying realization - you can't feel your hydro. A distressed noise escapes you as you caress the injury, a lack of elemental core crushing you better than any humiliation or defeat.

Consumed by your grief for the lost powers, you miss the moments someone enters the room. It’s Morax again - he looks vastly different now, with all hints of his usual bloodlust and cold fury gone, he resembles a kind and wise dragon from the fairy tales human parents tell to their children.

“[First]”, he starts, taking one slow step after another, careful not to scare or enrage you: “I am happy you’re finally awake. You’ve been unconscious for a while now”.

You look at him with angry, accusing eyes, all of your grievances temporarily forgotten: “I can’t believe you did it, I thought you were an honourable person”, he lightly tilts his head, feigning ignorance: “You ripped out my core! I bet you were enjoying every second of it, you sick bastard!”.

“None of that”, he deflects your insults: “your core was destroyed by the ballista, not me. The last projectile went through you and subsequently your core”.

“Well”, you rise from the bed, despite the agonizing pain: “you stole me too! Ballista has nothing to do with this!”

“It’s either that or the eternal seal”, he adopts the patronizing tone and you want to kill him just for that: “with your core gone, I doubt you will restore even a fraction of your power, so sealing you away will be a waste”.

“A waste”, you repeat, remembering that Morax is not only a god of martial arts, but also business and commerce: “What is there to waste? I have no power now, no reason to live”

He wordlessly comes to you after this phrase, his hand touching the bandaged torso, before his amber eyes glance at you momentarily. You know that look, have seen it during the countless battles - cold, calculating and thoroughly fixated - a shiver goes through you.

“I am the one who defeated you”, he finally says, so quietly that even you with your superhuman hearing have to strain your ears: “You belong to me now, I can give you a new reason for living, I can make you accept and embrace it”.

You look at his eyes and the hand he laid upon the injury, fear caused by his words alone paralyzing your whole being. A whole tornado of thoughts appeared in your mind, each one of them anxious, nervous and unsettling.

“You should have expected this”, Morax mutters, noticing the dread that clings to you: “your insufferable taunts and your little tricks, you wanted to be my first thought in the morning and the last in the night, you have succeeded”.

A warm hand cups your face, and you can’t find any comfort in it, as strong fingers pry open your lips. He forcefully kisses you, his tongue invading your mouth, as you desperately battle the panic. Finally you take control of your body back and quickly shut your teeth together, biting him, tasting a coppery blood”.

He leans back, still collected, despite the blood escaping past his lips: “I should have expected this”, he says more to himself than to you and then he shifts his eyes back to you: “Still, I have a lot of time to tame a wild sea beast like you”.

He leans in again, his hand forcing your mouth open with a renewed strength: “Water can take any shape, [First], and I’ll guide you to the shape I want you to be, my prize of war”

Archangel Mikael

One of the highest-ranking angels and also one of the most ancient. Despite what many don’t realize, the elder angels are actually gods, with Mikael being one of them. Lucifer was the first god of this Universe, the Light of Creation, and the leader of the Seraphim before the Usurper took over and attempted to become the sole god.

Other Names: Michael, Mikail, Mikal, Mikhail, Mikhael, Michahel, Man Ka El

Name Meaning: “He Who is Like God” (God in this case means the Source, not Jehoavah)

Rulerships: The Sun, protection, courage, justice, order, leadership, health, compassion, relationships, trades, travel, magick, guidance, triumph, strength, and confidence.

History: The elder Angels were all created by the primordial consciousness called the Source, whose feminine counterpart is called the Queen of Heaven (the Cosmic Womb). The elder Angels are all deities, with Lucifer being the first-born and most beautiful and complex among them. Even long before the Rebellion, Mikael and Lucifer were brothers to one another. But when the tyrant god, Jehovah, came to usurp the Throne of the Universe, Lucifer refused to submit to him and began a rebellion against him, with many fellow gods supporting him.

Though despite Mikael’s love for his brother, he valued order and did not want there to be wars, he wanted to keep things under control and not harm his kin. Even though this was not the best choice, Mikael’s actions came from his good-heartedness and love towards his companions. Lucifer handed down his authority among the Angels to Mikael, and the war broke out in the heavens. This War broke the hearts of many, and Mikael actually refused to fight against Lucifer in the Rebellion- even though he is popularly thought to have defeated him. 

Despite my religion being Luciferian/Satanic and having Lucifer as my patron god, Mikael has never said anything was wrong with this or tried to sway me from my path. He has been nothing but deeply compassionate towards me and has helped me plenty of times throughout my life. He and Lucifer still are brothers to one another, and lately assist each other in various battles.

Appearance: Mikael appears as a tall and fit young man with tanned skin, soft curly brown hair, warm hazel eyes, and he tends to smile often. He tends to wear either white and gold robes or elegant golden armour.

January Magical Forecast

Hello Guys! I apologize on how late this was but my life has been hectic and I have not gotten a chance to complete this. However:

This month will feel a bit long with a lot of themes on our goals, responsibilities, our repressed freedoms and how we can strategize to break out of the cycle. Towards the middle of the month there will be a lot more shifts of energy into Aquarius helping us to expand our vision and perspectives. At the end of the month Mercury will retrograde into Aquarius helping us to reflect on that energy from within.

1 - ☾♌ Mercury in Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces Moon enters Leo

With the moon entering Leo today along with the Mercury and Neptune sextile, we may feel a creative push on this first day of the new year. Sextiles helps the energies of the two planets to work together and with the energy of Mercury and Neptune in this positive aspect helps us to be more creative and able to tap into our artistic and spiritual depths. The unfortunate side is that this sextile may make us less inclined to get any work done or focus on anything that requires our heads to not be in the clouds. However as it's the first day of a new year especially in stressful times (most of us can't even leave the house), it's a good time to take it easy and spend some calming alone time connecting with yourself spiritually.

On this first day it would be a good time to sit with yourself and think about what personal aspects do you want to further evolve and grow. For example if you want to further develop your confidence or if you want to be more spontaneous and break away from certain expectations. You can also think about what aspects of your craft/path do you want to further develop. It's a good time to take notice of where you are spiritually and expand on that.

Look back to where you were on the Sagittarius New Moon Solar Eclipse on the 14th of December. With the lunar cycle starting on an eclipse, external changes could have had impact shifting our inner worlds and sudden endings could bring new beginnings.

The Disseminating moon is a time of gratitude and reaping rewards of hard work accumulated during this lunar cycle. Though we are in unstable times and this cycle started on an eclipse, it is time to appreciate where you might have found success and benefitted from changes you have worked towards. However if you feel unsatisfied, this beneficial lunar energy in the cycle is the second chance to make things right. If you are happy, it’s a lovely time to relax and celebrate life. With the moon in Virgo it's a good time to focus on your health, making amends, finding solutions and inner healing.

When the moon is in Virgo it’s great to ground your tasks mentally in a to-do list, problem solve or focus on healing magic for yourself on a physical or spiritual level.

5 - ☾♎ Mercury in Capricorn conjunct Pluto in Capricorn Moon enters Libra

Our mind plunges to the depths today as Mercury and Pluto in Capricorn join in the sky. This is a great day to examine our own psyche, subconscious, do shadow work and explore hidden feelings that could potentially manifest into toxic traits or reactions we weren't aware of (especially in the areas of our work, relationships to money and working, our responsibilities and our feelings towards authority). It's also a great day to uncover secrets and learn more about other people. With the moon in Libra the attention can be focused on others and our partnerships. Alternatively libra is about balance and restoring peace so the shadow work you do on yourself can contribute to restoring balance within.

6 - ☾♎ Mars enters Taurus Last Quarter Moon

With the last quarter moon it's a good time to take stock on where you are and reflect on your journey during this lunar cycle. We can review what we've learned as well as what isn't working for us. It's an ideal time for reflection, meditation, journaling, taking stock and doing shadow work. As the cycle started on an eclipse it's an opportunity to reflect on any changes and see how we've grown or what we need to continue to change. Mars enters Taurus today bringing a new shift of energy. However with Mars in Taurus our drive will slooowww dooown.. It is an energy that understands that anything worth making will take a long time and dedication to achieve. However once we set our hearts to something we will have the endurance to see it to it's end. If you have been working on a project for some time it's a good day to review your progress and set your heart to it's completion. It will take a while but for these next 6-ish weeks you will have the dedication to achieve a lot of progress towards it.

7 - ☾♏ Moon enters Scorpio

When the moon is in Scorpio it’s a good time for shadow work, trance magic, uncovering secrets, sex magic and energy based magic. This period of reflection will help us shed during the Balsamic moon phase.

8 - ☾♏ Sun in Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces Balsamic Moon | Moon Sextile Sun Mercury enters Aquarius Venus enters Capricorn

As the moon sextiles the sun, the last major lunar aspect before a new moon, we will feel a boost to tie up any loose ends and bring close to whatever needs to end. It's a good time for shedding and cleansing. With the moon in Scorpio, it's a time for deep introspection, shadow work and shedding what you no longer need. This can be on an emotional level, spiritual level and physical level as it's a good boost to cleanse and clear your space before the new lunar cycle begins. This energy will be supported by the Sun sextiling Neptune in Pisces. The theme of the day will be revolving around our relationship with our spiritual and creative sides and how we can build on the foundation of our paths or work with our dreams in tangible reality. This boost can help us bring in new insight or explore deeper depths to our growth that we could have encountered this lunar cycle.

Two energy shifts occur today with Mercury entering Aquarius and Venus entering Capricorn. Mercury in Aquarius brings a period of time where there will be more epiphanies, new perspective shifts, changes from within and expanded visions. If you don't have anything in mind and are not sure how to use this energy, it's a good time to do energy work just to channel this celestial positive transit. You can meditate to the frequency of Mercury and Mars or charge any magical items towards them. 10 - ☾♐ Mercury conjunct Saturn in Aquarius

Our mind will be focused on our responsibilities today as Mercury and Saturn will be aligned in the sky. With this energy it's fantastic to channel towards getting tasks done, from menial chores to anything we've been putting off. Though any project can benefit from this drive to get this checked off the list, this energy can bring a lot of critical thinking which is fantastic for tasks like editing or taking stock, but it can be harsh with any type of endeavors that are creative or abstract. If you don't have a clear structure of how to get something done, this energy can result in heavy melancholy or coldness so it's not the best to channel towards anything that is meant to be explored in a light hearted way. However the best way to counteract this energy is to make a list of things you need to get done (that you know how to do) and finish them up. You may find that you may naturally gravitate to these activities and even if you'd usually dread doing them, the energy today somehow gives you the boost or alignment to not mind as much and manage to get it all done.

11 - ☾♑ Mercury conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius Mercury and Jupiter in Aquarius sextiles Chiron rx in Aries

Today's energy will bring a huge boost in the areas of self expansion and inner healing. As Mercury and Jupiter align in the sky, their two energies will fuse helping us to expand our mental perspective (especially with the energy of Aquarius which is all about expansion, new insights and evolution) and the two planets will form a positive sextile with Chiron rx. This aspect will entice us to reflect on inner pain or past traumas in order to heal and move forward. With the moon entering Capricorn we will be able to review these intense topics with maturity and responsibility. It's an excellent day for shadow work and self growth. As the moon has begun to enter it's new phase (still waning) it's a good time to let go and bring in the new cycle.

As the lunar cycle is nearly at a close, today will really force us to reflect on our past that may have caused us pain or anything blocking our freedom and which is causing instability in our lives. As this previous cycle begun on an eclipse a lot of the themes bring about change and letting go and these harder aspects can help us to review the past in order to move on. Mercury squares Uranus rx can bring up areas of ourselves such as unhelpful habits and mindsets that have held us back that we wish to change. This aspect can bring new insights that can shift our mentality or something external can bring unexpected change that will influence us internally. With Venus squaring Chiron rx we may get the unpleasant experience of being triggered by something regarding a partner, someone close to you, your own self love or finances. Often this can bring up trauma which you need to review in order to be aware of it and move on from it. The two aspects can potentially be unpleasant to deal with, but with the moon in Capricorn, the general emotional side will be mature and grounded and there is opportunity to observe, take stock and heal. Today is a great day for grounding, reflection and meditation.

A new cycle begins! However the energy may feel tense with Mars squaring Saturn in Aquarius. This is not a good day to start anything new but just to reflect, brainstorm and visualize. With this square the energy feels more tense to get anything done. We may feel our needs and desires grow stronger and feel more power to charge towards what we want, however it will be harder to express our passions or succeed with the restrictive energies of Saturn. Rejection and limitation will internalize the hot mars energy and make things feel worse if you try to charge ahead. This is also an aspect that can blow up frustration and anger unless the energy is safely expressed. (Risk taking is highly unrecommended now.) Instead its good to take stock and see what we already have. If you have desires, write them down and visualize them or focus energy towards them mentally as a New Moon ritual. When the Sun sextiles the moon our energies feel more balanced and it's a good time to experiment, try new things or get tasks done. With the moon in Pisces it's a nice time to explore our creative sides and or expand on our spiritual path. Though Pisces loves to escape today may feel extra messy with Jupiter squaring Uranus. The pressure of the square may cause a lot of chaos and sudden changes which means we need to stay flexible and go with the flow. However it's a good day to not indulge in any substances as there is a potential to go overboard. This square can also create sudden change in life direction or change in fortunes. It's a good time to try to exercise patience, take caution to new opportunities and take risks with some moderation. Erratic behavior can easily lead to losses so do not seek change for the sake of change.

18 - ☾♈ Moon enters Aries

When the moon enters Aries it's a good time for fire based magic, charging magical items, exercise (especially those that can involve magic and or spirituality with physical activities from dance, martial arts, yoga or sex magic) and reflecting on your desires.

19 - ☾♈ Sun enters Aquarius

Capricorn season was long, restful and reflective but today Aquarius season begins starting a new cycle with themes revolving around new experiences, innovation, new perspectives and freedom! Innovation is more important to us in this time than convention. We become more aware of what is outdated in our lives, and strive to find new perspectives and new ways to do things. As the sun now transits in Aquarius, the themes of our progression will have more attention.

The sun will be in the same sign as Mercury, Saturn and Jupiter bringing more awareness to the shifts being affected on a societal scale by mercury and the outer planets.

Today is a good day to reflect on your own current goals and see what you can learn to help yourself advance in these areas. For example if you are currently writing a book or would like to, what could you learn, research or practice to help move this goal along. If you want to learn how to dance, how to garden etc. what skills can you learn to help you progress in this area? This theme will be highlighted as we head to the middle of winter (and mid Aquarius season) with Imbolc approaching. Think of the seeds you'd like to sow (metaphorically) and take steps to learn what you need to do, experiment and get the seeds sowin'.

Today's pressure may feel intense with the transits. We have the moon entering Taurus (conjuncting Uranus in Taurus as well) and entering it's first quarter moon phase. The first quarter moon always brings tension as it's a square between the moon and sun forcing us to reflect on our current goals and bring awareness towards any restrictions or obstacles for us to strategize overcoming them. However this energy is for strategizing and not doing or else we will be faced with a lot of opposition. To add to this pressure cooker of energy, Mars will be aligned with Uranus (and the moon) today giving us a deep urge to break out of any limiting situations in our lives. There will be a desire for change and excitement to spice up our lives, however, a tendency to act spontaneously or erratically can cause unwanted surprises and unnecessary chaos which can disrupt your current stability. Though we may greatly feel the push to, risk taking is not the best option now. This energy is best used to reflect where you need to break free and strategize on how you can achieve that in the long run. If you would like this energy's boost in magic it's best for manifestation (with needed followed actions) or barrier breaking spells.

The Mars and Jupiter square gives us the courage to break free from any restrictions, however it's good to strategize than act impulsively or else you can risk gaining consequences. With Venus sextile Neptune we will have a positive push to work on anything creative, imaginative and or spiritual. It's a great time to expand on your creative and spiritual work.

Today's energy will be fantastic for barrier breaking, love magic attraction magic in general and making luck charms. For mundane actions there is a chance of luck for taking your obstacles head-on, however try to strategize and be wary for taking on more than planned.

Today is a day to be responsible, mature and take up any obligations that need your attention. With the Sun conjunct Saturn, our responsibilities and hard work are the main themes of the day. Today you can accomplish a lot (especially with the beneficial sun trining the moon) and find great satisfaction and achievements for your hard work. In some areas such as career you can even find recognition and promotions for the work you have done. With the energy of Saturn in Aquarius this can manifest itself more in themes regarding your efforts towards your community and the progression of the collective. However if you choose to not be responsible in this time and neglect your duties, today will be highlighted by hardship, insecurities, instabilities and restriction. Today is a day to focus on any structure in your life that needs your attention, whether it be the physical home, to your daily routine or your job, your to-do list, your finances etc. It is a good time to simplify and bring efficiency to your life. Today is also a good time to think about your role in your community and collective events and see if there's anything you can do to help.

The energy will feel tender and emotional today as the moon enters it's home sign of Cancer and the Sun sextiles Chiron in Aries. The sun will highlight the themes of inner healing and reviewing trauma that could be hindering us with it's Chiron sextile. It can be a moody day, but with opportunities to help you heal within and progress forward. It's a good day for self care magic which can be bath magic and eating healthy alongside shadow work and divination. (Also with Moon in Cancer I find I like to clean my space).

Today may be riddled with the electrical anxious feeling of impending change and potential chaos with the Sun squaring Uranus. This brings sudden unpredictable behaviors, sudden changes and even accidents which are unexpected which could even have an influence on our current direction in life. We could be subject to radical change in our environment or if we get personally effected by the energy of this transit we may feel a sudden emotional reaction which could cause spontaneous change. The best way to channel this energy is to be proactive about positive change. If you are feeling restless or if you feel that there is something causing a feeling of impending drama and chaos, try to sit with yourself or divine and see what the source may be, if you can work with it, or ride it out. If you are in a place in life where you feel stuck and unhappy in your current circumstance, this transit can force you to push in a new direction.

28 - ☾♌ Full Moon in Leo Venus conjunct Pluto in Capricorn

This full moon may feel a bit chaotic as it enters dramatic Leo and is accompanied by Venus aligning with Pluto which is another dramatic transit. Additionally the moon will be forming a square with Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. This moon will highlight the ways where we may feel restricted and repressed by authority, society, our lack of stability and with the Jupiter square it will only amplify our needs to expand and break free. With Venus conjunct Pluto our needs for love and to be held or aligned with our values will be dramatically increased. We want to be seen and connected to on a soul level. However this energy also has a darker side and can highlight how some people want power over others. This conjunction can bring out possessiveness, jealousy, blown out infatuations and manipulation of other people. With the full moon it may highlight in our lives where manipulative people may lie. On a macrocosmic scale this full moon could reveal egotistical people bringing harm to the community and seeking control which represses us. On a personal level this could highlight our own toxicity or others around us that can bring this energy in our lives.

In general the Leo full moon is about what makes us special and what we can create to contribute to the collective. With the current transits we may feel that our contributions or self expression are blocked due to current circumstances which we will be more aware of due to the transiting squares. We will desire powerfully to align ourselves with our values with the Pluto and Venus conjunction and will feel this Full Moon's energy as a push to break through the obstacles and pursue our passions.

29 - ☾♌ Sun conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius Mars conjunct Lilith in Taurus

Today will feel optimistic and lucky as the Sun aligns with Jupiter bringing a day of open doors, new opportunities, good luck and giving us the opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest. "Expansion" will apply to all areas of life which could be relationships to wealth. This is a fantastic time for channeling this energy into luck charms/spells, manifesting, taking action, meditating on Jupiter's energy, starting new projects, investments, new studies or planning trips. The only thing to be aware of on this day is that Mars will be aligned with Lilith in Taurus. Lilith represents our deep dark desires that we like to hide away and already the Sun and Jupiter conjunction which is all about expansion also has a tendency to bring out extravagant wastefulness, boastfulness and greed. With the Mars and Lilith conjunction we will have a strong desire to act out on our deepest wants even if they may not be ethical. It's a good day to do some shadow work and reflect on the nature of your desires before pursuing them. While acting on some can be beneficial and cathartic, there is a reason why we may suppress some of our desires. As long as you act with healthy intentions today may be one of the best days of this month.  

30 - ☾♍ Mercury enters Retrograde -Until Feb 21st Sun in Aquarius squares Lilith in Taurus Moon enters Virgo

Today Mercury enters retrograde in Aquarius until the end of February. With this mercury retrograde the themes of our freedom and progression will become more internalized as we will get the chance to reflect on these matters and gain new perspectives. With the Sun squaring Lilith we may feel a vicious urge to act out on our repressed needs in an effort to liberate ourselves, however reacting to a square by taking action usually causes more restriction and obstacles. Today will be best for shadow work to examine our repressed needs and desires and reflecting on ways to healthily explore this side of ourselves instead of being provoked into sudden action.

April has begun, a new month, a new start.

To celebrate the First of April, I've decided to embark on a new project. Some might say it's a little Foolish when I have so much else to do, but it must be done:

Fate: the Re-Winxed Saga!

We'll be starting off with a fixing of the reason Bloom ran away from home. I don't know about anyone else, but I always found it jarring how Bloom essentially had two sets of parents played by the same actors.

One pair were abusive a$$hats, on of whom thought their daughter was a freak, the other was basically a doormat with no opinions of their own, meanwhile the other couple were loving and “always knew she was meant for bigger things”.

So I've changed the reason behind Bloom's house burned down, and restored her artistic talents to her. There's nothing wrong with liking repairing old lamps, but we saw it once to point out how much of a “weirdo” she was, and then it was gone.

I've also added in a bit to explain how Farah found her, while maintaining Stella's OG presence in the scene.

I know there's a prequel book out (soon?) now that's supposed to fill in that blank, but I've just gone ahead with it.

Warnings for minor implications of sexual assault that never actually happened.

Here we go:

Fire\Starter

Bloom's sleep was fitful. 

She felt hot in her dreams, flushed with embarrassment and rage as Mitzy's obnoxious laugh played on infinite repeat. The condemning looks from her peers, from strangers on the street, plagued her like a thousand daggers.

In the waking world Bloom's body kicked back her sheets and writhed like she was fighting off an attacker.

In her dreams Bloom saw the sweetly deceitful face of Mitzy's cousin.

Bloom was an artist, she'd been drawing since she'd been young. Her art had won some competitions, small and local, but so important to her.

Important enough that her parents had bought her a graphics tablet for her birthday when all the other kids her age were getting bikes. It was the most expensive gift they'd ever gotten her.

She'd used it frequently, making digital art now alongside the more traditional paintings and sketches. She'd gotten good enough to be asked and paid for commissions.

And that's how Mitzy had managed to sneak her cousin in, to set a trap.

Moira had commissioned Bloom to make a 'tasteful nude' in 'that old European style, you know the one?' and Bloom hadn't thought anything of it. She'd let Moira into her home, into the converted solar-turned-art studio she'd been using for almost a full year now and...

Bloom had spent every day since cursing herself for not noticing the similarities. Moira and Mitzy looked so alike when you saw them together, Bloom didn't know how she'd missed it.

Maybe it was because Moira had smiled kindly, hidden her smirk and contempt better than Mitzy ever had.

Bloom had only touched Moira once, a gentle arm on the elbow to steady her while Moira was in her under garments, but the way she'd spun that into lies of assault...

Bloom could see it perfectly in her head, Moira laying casually on the couch of Bloom's studio, skin mostly bare and a sweet smile on her face.

In her dreams it warped into a smirk, lips cracking apart until Mitzy's laugh rolled out of the gaping maw. In her dreams, Bloom set Moira on fire.

Her rage, pure and true becomes an unstoppable flame, so hot it melts the walls, melts her tormentors skin. In the dream Bloom screams her rage and the world is consumed and-

-Bloom wakes, choking. She rolls to the side and tumbles from the sweat soaked mattress to the warm wooden floors of her room. Her gasping breaths drag the scent of smoke and paint into her lungs, but she ignores the remnants of her dream and tries to calm herself.

The scent doesn't fade.

It gets stronger.

Somewhere below her on the ground floor, glasses shatter and Bloom hears a familiar whoof. She'd heard it in her father’s educational videos on fire.

Her studio is on fire.

Her house is on fire!

“MUM! DAD!” Bloom screams as loud as she can, trying to remember what she's supposed to do. She tears her pillow case off her pillow, scrambles to put her laptop, graphics tablets and her three recharge cords into it before pulling her sheet free and wrapping it around herself.

She grabs her phone on the way out.

“MUM! DAD!”

Bloom makes her way to their room down the hall, the smoke in the air thickening.

“FIRE!!”

Her parents meet her at the door, their own sheet wrapped around them both to help filter the smoke, they have a few things as well.

Together they crouch down low and make their way down stairs, Bloom's father, Mike, already on his cell phone calling for the Fire Brigade.

They're almost free and clear when her mother, Vanessa, tries to head for the family office.

Bloom calls “mum, no!” at the same time her dad says “'Nessa stop!”  

But Vanessa darts away, just past the office door to grab a single box and out again, away from the spread of the fire.

Bloom feels a flicker of relief for half a second before something in the house explodes, letting out a torrent of flame in her mother's direction.

Bloom screams and flings out her hand as if she could do anything to stop what's about to happen.

For a heartbeat Bloom feels something well up inside her, something dark and powerful, and the wave of fire splits around her mother.

The trio stand, stunned, until Mike comes to his senses, “'Nessa, move!”

And they bolt to the door together, out onto the small lawn in time to see the lights of the fire trucks round the corner.

In the days to come, they will recover the items which remain, few as they are. Bloom's childhood book of fairy stories was somehow untouched by the flames.

Mitzy will spread a new rumour about Bloom as part of her campaign to ruin Bloom's life, saying Bloom started the fire.

The investigation will rule it an accident, suspected faulty wiring in the art studio.

But Bloom knows, with an awful certainty: Mitzy was right for once, Bloom had started the fire somehow. She knows her parents suspect it too, but they won't say anything, not even about how Bloom had made the wave of fire part.

There's an elephant in the room now, it hovers awkwardly about their family, makes every conversation feel like trying to walk through broken glass in the dark without stepping on any.

Bloom tries not to go to sleep. She only makes it a few days before she finds herself constantly drifting off. Her parents watch her with fear, telling her to sleep.

But she can't, don't they understand that? What if she starts another fire?

She leaves their motel room, takes her phone and uses some of the money she earned from her art to by a sleeping bag and some snacks. Searches the internet for a place to stay with no people and as little flammable material as possible.

She finds an old warehouse that will do the trick. She buys a small fire extinguisher on her way there.

Her phone tells her she's slept for two days when she wakes up with a horrific dehydration headache.

She feels a little better for the sleep, she hasn't burned down the world while unconscious. There's a public showering area in a pool several blocks away, she manages to sneak in and get clean.

Begins to feel almost human again.

Bloom falls into a routine, sleeping in the warehouse, showering in the public washrooms, reading everything she can find on what the internet calls 'pyrokinesis'. The scientific side, or the fringe-science side of things feels wrong somehow.

She can't explain it, but something in her knows that's not the path she's looking for.

She tries folklore and myths instead. Feels pulled towards the stories of fae and dragons.

There's an abandoned quarry not far from town, and Bloom manages to make her way there with some candles, matches and her thankfully unused fire extinguisher.

She can't conjure fire, can't put it out, can't even provoke it. She's missing something, she knows, she can feel it.

Bloom comes across some 'majick' on one of the websites she finds looking for answers. A way to call a fae and force them to answer any questions you have. Bloom scoffs but takes a screenshot before backing out to another page.

Several days later she makes the mistake of looking at social media.

She's officially a runaway at this point, and Mitzy has used her absence to establish Bloom's guilt.

“Bloom burned her house down to fake her death to avoid facing charges of assault,” is the going theory.

It makes Bloom mad enough to set her sleeping bag on fire.

The following morning she buys a new one, and some things from the list of 'spell' ingredients. She's making no progress on her own, she's desperate.

Bloom returns to the quarry, she doesn't want the smell of incense in the warehouse, just in case. She fills a small bowl with water and a piece of quartz, waits for the moon to rise over head and does her best to match the google-translate’s reading of the 'some magical European language' the spell requires.

For a moment she sits, feeling like a fool, her eyes closed. Then she feels like she's falling.

Or flying?

There's a wind but it's intangible, a forest but it's colours are vibrant in a way Bloom's never seen, like they're leaking energy.

And then there's a tug, like someone has pulled her up short, and a woman with soft, pale brown hair and kind but curious eyes.

The woman opens her mouth but Bloom jerks back in shock, and startles so hard her leg flies out to knock over the bowl, spilling the water everywhere.

Bloom stays there for several long minutes, panting like she'd run a marathon, but then a real wind blows and her damp jeans go cold against her skin. She packs everything up and runs back to the almost safety of her warehouse.

Bloom is awoken by the sound of the warehouse door opening and closing. She's confused for a moment before the sound of two sets of footsteps has her scrambling upright, and out of her sleeping bag.

It's the woman from Bloom's... spell? Vision?

She smiles at Bloom, and Bloom feels herself relax.

“Hello, I'm Farah Dowling,” she gestures to herself. Behind Farah, a young woman, blonde and roughly to same age and nervousness level as Bloom, clears her throat slightly, so Farah Dowling adds: “And this is Stella,” Stella waves, “we're here to help you, if you'll let us?”

Bloom knows better than to trust strangers, but this woman had been in her vision.

“You can help me?” Bloom asks, her voice sounding far smaller and unused than she was expecting.

“I'd certainly like to try,” Farah says kindly, her hand reaching out to Bloom, letting Bloom make the choice.

Bloom gathers her things and takes Farah Dowling's hand, Farah squeezes it gently, it's comforting. Bloom sobs as she realises this is the first real human contact she's had in... weeks now.

“Come on,” Farah and Stella return to the warehouse door, “Stella, if you could?”

“Yes Miss Dowling,” Stella gives Bloom a quick eyebrow wiggle, like she's about to show off, and places her hand on the door.

'She has nice hands,' Bloom thinks distantly as the large sunburst ring on Stella's finger glows golden, the light spreading out to coat the door and it's frame.

When Stella opens it, the door no longer leads outside the warehouse, but out into a verdant forest. Bloom can smell the leaf litter, there's the smell of moisture, like there's rain about to fall.

Stella steps through into the forest, holding the door open for Farah and Bloom to follow.

“Welcome to Avalon,” Stella says as she sweeps out an arm to indicate the trees around her, “home of Alfea school for Heroics and Fairies.”

“Fairies?” Bloom can feel herself smiling, excitement building. Her parents had always affectionately despaired at her life long obsession with the mythological creatures.

...her parents...

Bloom wavered.

“Can, can I just have a moment to text my parents?” Bloom looks between the two... women? Fairies? She's afraid that any second this will turn out to be a dream, or worse, real and she'll somehow throw away her chance.

“Of course,” Farah says, her voice full of understanding, “take all the time you need.”

“As long as you only need ten minutes,” Stella cuts in, “because that's how much longer I can hold this doorway open.”

Farah gives Stella a fond but exasperated look.

Bloom shakes her head, “I only need two minutes, tops.” She pulls out her phone, spends thirty seconds undoing the call blocker and sends her text before reinstalling the blocker, too scared to hear her parents reply.

What if it was “stay gone”?

“I'm ready,” Bloom says, and Farah ushers her through into Avalon.

Mike and Vanessa almost collapse in relief, their baby girl is alright. They tell the police to stop actively looking for Bloom, but to keep an eye out, and to tell her they miss her if she's seen.

A Brief Look at Chakras

History of Chakras: The word “chakra” is a Sanskrit word that means “spinning wheel” or “disc”. It is thought that the word originated when the Aryans invaded India on their great chariots. The word “chakra” was coined for the turning wheels of the invaders’ chariots. This was also an analogy for the disc of the sun, a powerful symbol in many ancient cultures. Different cultures also developed chakra-like systems, but used different names and used different ways to explain the chakras. The Jewish Kabbalah referred to the “sepiroth”, which appears as nine different worlds. The classic seven chakras originates historically with a man named Sir John Woodroffe and his interpretation of the Hindu chakra system. Though he only recognizes seven chakras, there are also many minor chakras that other practitioners choose to acknowledge as well. Modern practitioners have the luxury of deciding which chakra system works the best for them. There are many different paths and options to choose from, so it is important to listen to your body and decide which is best for you.

Chakra Healing: Chakras facilitate the flow of energy through the body. Sometimes, one of these channels can be blocked, causing the energy to stop, and cause a state of emotional, psychological, and/or spiritual distress. On the other hand, a chakra can also be overactive, which can also cause a state of imbalance in the body. Chakra healing is the act of opening these pathways to facilitate the flow of energy in the body to create a better sense of well-being. There are a few techniques that can be employed to rebalance the chakras. I will cover a few now. 1. Food: too much processed food can cause our bodies harm and make them imbalanced. Eating healthy foods is vital for the health of the chakras. There are also studies that say the natural pigments in food can create a new vibrational energy within our bodies. So, to use food to balance the chakras, it is traditional to eat foods whose natural pigmentation reflects the imbalanced chakra. For example, red foods are used for the root chakra and yellow foods for the solar plexus chakra. The most important thing to consider when using food for chakra healing is to listen to your body. It knows what you do and don’t need. 2. Reflexology: this technique is an ancient one that suggests the palms of our hands and the soles of our feet reflect the state of our whole body. Using the fingertips to press on pressure points on the body can restore circulation and energy cycles. Reflexology is a technique that can also be used to balance chakras when we consider the correlation between each of the reflex points on the soles of the foot and the palms of the hand. 3. Kinesiology: kinesiology is a widely practiced and accepted science, which explores the function of the muscles in the body. When we think of using kinesiology for chakra healing, most practitioners use a combination of crystals and essential oils. The ancient Chinese practice of acupuncture can also be considered kinesiology. 4. Aromatherapy: this practice uses essential oils and other fragrant plant compounds to uplift the mood and improve health. Smelling essential oils is one technique that can be used to balance the chakras, but they can also be used in conjunction with a massage that will open the chakras. Certain essential oils resonate with certain chakras, and a trained practitioner will know how to use them. 5. Reiki: this is a form of energy healing where the practitioner uses their hands to transfer energy. Reiki is a spiritual healing source, which is said to promote natural processes in the body. This energy is passed through a Reiki student’s chakras, making them a channel for spiritual healing energy. 6. Yoga: a common practice, yoga seeks to align the practitioner with the universal energies. The main chakra healing benefit of yoga is through its ability to move energy throughout the body. Performing different poses with the body can open, stretch, and release the chakras. 7. Crystals: crystals are a natural energy source that comes from the earth. The same life force that exists in us comes from the earth and the universe. Crystals are a very pure form of that energy. The chakras themselves have sympathetic vibrations with certain crystals, and the crystals vibration can realign the chakra’s crystal with the energy within the crystal. 8. Color: this is similar to the way of using food to balance a chakra. Each chakra is assigned its own color, though these colors often mingle together. In color therapy, the predominant color of the chakra can be used to stimulate it. Color therapists also use the color that is the exact opposite of the predominant color to balance chakras, to create a sense of balance between the two. 9. Yantras: these are symbols that represent each chakra, and can be a valuable meditation tool. The yantras vibrate with the same energy as the chakra, and can be used as a tool to become more attuned with the chakras. 10. Sound: the energy field or aura around us responds heavily to sound. Therefore, using different sounds can connect to different chakras. Like yantras, this can be a very valuable tool to connecting and understanding blockages and over activity in the chakras. The Structure of the Chakra System: traditionally, chakras appear as spinning wheel of light, constantly moving and vibrating with energy. One thing not many people realize however, is that there are both major and minor chakras. Everyone is familiar with the seven major chakras that align vertically with the spine, but there are also twenty-one minor chakras at various points on the body. The chakra system is more complicated than just vertical points along the spine. Their vibrational energy actually extends horizontally as well, filling the body’s energy field. Each chakra has its own sound and color. The chakras job is to evaluate energies it comes into contact with, and to match those energies with its own vibration. When we talk about the specific vibrations of each chakra, the lower chakras generally have a lower vibration that is more on the physical plane, while the higher chakras vibrate at a higher vibration. The chakras also act as an important mediator between the two sides of the body. The structure of the 7 major chakras starting at the bottom are: root chakra (Muladhara), sacral chakra (Svadisthana), solar plexus chakra (Manipura), Heart Chakra (Anahata), throat chakra (Vishuddha), third eye chakra (Anja), and the crown chakra (Sahasrara).

The Legends Awaken

Ava bowed and nodded, waiting for the guards to unlock her necklace and handcuffs before turning around and hugging Sara. She collapsed against her girlfriend, placing many pecks against her cheek and forehead before finally landing one on her lips. Sara stutter-stepped back for a moment, laughing as Ava clung onto her.

“Thank you.” Ava sighed, holding her tightly. “Thank you, thank you, thank you so much,” she gasped out, holding back joyous tears.

“I will do anything to protect you, Ava, I love you. To be honest, I don’t know what I would do without you.” Sara confessed against her ear. She sighed and stepped back away from her, “Now, we still have a job to do. You ready for my drama?”

“How bad can it be?”

“Oh, you’ll be surprised.”

Ava rolled her eyes and wrapped Sara’s arm around her hip, tugging her close, as they made their way to the Waverider. She had only spent a small amount of time away from her but had almost forgotten how Sara made her feel. The way she made her laugh and smile and even when they fought, they still reconciled and loved and trusted one another. She felt like a stronger and better person. When they trained or meditated, she could feel their souls entwine and enhance one another. It felt like a dance; an intense tango that always ended with them both prepared for a fight.

Sara strapped herself into the pilot’s seat, waiting for Ava to lock herself in the chair adjacent to her and took off for her home planet. They blasted off into hyper speed, stars zipping past them in a glittering and strobe tube of lights. In a moment, they stopped and jutted forward.

Ava gazed upon this solar system. She had surprisingly never been to Mandalore- because she was never allowed- and had been amazed by the beauty of this tan and olive planet. She could see the green cracks and lines of rivers that scratched across the surface of Mandalore; the way they spread out and littered it like a heat cracked window. It was a cloudy day across the lower left corner of the olive planet and there was a flash of light over the clouds.

She glanced at Sara, unsure why she was flying through a thunderstorm. Sara twisted the Waverider through the clouds, passing by bright objects that seemed to tangle themselves in the clouds. Ava glanced back at Sara, watching as a small smile appeared on her face. She cocked her head and smiled as well.

“What’s the smile about?” She asked.

Sara shrugged as they lowered into their spot. “It’s just that I forgot that the Festival is this week.”

“Festival?”

“There’s this festival they have every year that celebrates the Civil War”

“Oh, I heard about that. When I was learning to be a sentinel, we had to learn about some of the biggest wars. It was our job to stop them, be peacekeepers.” Sara almost rolled her eyes, simply turning her head away and unbuckling her seat belt. “What, what is it?”

She sighed, sucking her teeth before curtly responding, “Nothing.”

“Oh, my god, Sara, what is it?”

“We’ll talk about it later, babe.” Ava quickly followed her out of the ship and onto the war-torn planet. Sara turned back to her, shocking Sharpe with her sudden stop. “Just don’t mention anything about being a Jedi. Mandalorians hate them.”

“Oookay, why?” Ava asked as she walked around Sara.

“Oh, you’ll probably see when we go out to the main square.” Sara cryptically noted. “We just have bad blood with you guys.”

“Is that why your people sided with the Sith?”

“Mm, uh,” Sara stuttered, thinking for a moment, “That’s why our leaders sided with the Sith.”

“Wait, why are we recruiting them then?”

“Because from what I heard, a lot of young Mandalorians are neutral with our cause, they just don’t like the Jedi. Look,” Sara pivoted, following the old path to her family’s plot, “I can explain why we’re not big fans of you guys later, I should first clear some stuff up with my family.” she explained, waving her hands in a nervous manner.

Ava had to admit that seeing this side of Sara was very interesting. She watched her body position change as they walked closer and closer to her house. They must have been on her street because she was almost hiding her face behind Ava while they briskly walked down the crosswalk. Ava slipped her hand into Sara’s, stroking the back of her hand with her thumb.

“It’s gonna be alright,” Ava comforted.

“God I hope you’re right. If you’re not then I blame you,” she nervously joked.

Ava gave her girlfriend a quick squeeze before Sara turned off to one of the largest lots in the area. She gazed at the house that rested in the middle of the metal fenced off area, following Sara up the cobblestone road to the front door. Ava’s eyes followed the curve of the dome roof as it covered a circular house.

“Well, while we’re taking our sweet time, why don’t you tell me about this place?” Ava offered.

“Oh… well, it’s just… an old piece of land my dad inherited from… I honestly don’t know how many generations have owned this, but it was first bought about… 4000 years ago to train the Mandalorian Knights.”

“Who were they?”

Sara stopped in front of the front door and took a deep breath before knocking. “They were Mandalorian Jedi.”

“I thought you said-”

Suddenly the door opened. An older looking man stood in the doorway, his tall frame taking up the entire entrance. His face was scarred and wrinkled. His hair was shorn short enough to reveal his scalp below. Ava looked at his dark eyes that just darted up and down Sara’s body and face. His eyes began to water and his face broke into a warm smile as he lunged out from his spot to embrace Sara. He lifted her up off of the ground, holding her tight.

“Oh my god, you’re still alive,” he whispered.

“I learned to survive from the best.” Sara smiled as he let her down again. “This is my dad, Quentin,” she introduced.

“Hi, Mr. Lance,” Ava nervously greeted, reaching over to shake his hand.

“You gotta name, youngin?”

“Oh, yeah, Ava… Sharpe.”

Quentin nodded shortly and stepped out of the way. “It’s just me here, which is probably for the better. Why don’t we talk in the kitchen, I’ll grab a few drinks.”

“Thanks, daddy.” Sara smiled, following him into the old home.

Ava watched him limp through the house and behind a wall into what must have been the kitchen area. She tightened the buckle on her black jacket as she followed them in, a nervous rush flashing through her veins. This was something that she had never done before, she wondered if Sara could tell if Mr. Lance could tell. They turned the opposite corner to the kitchen and into the dining area. Sara sat down in one of the chairs, pulling out another one adjacent to her for Ava to have. She turned to watch her father’s actions, smiling at the old memories she still had.

“So,” Quentin asked, “I don’t even know where to begin.”

“Neither do I.”

“I guess… how’s Ben been?”

“When I last saw him, he was an old and still sassy man.”

“Hmm,” he chuckled handing them the opened bottles, “He’s always been like that, a stubborn old man who only wanted things his way. What else… what did you do after your training?”

“I lived on Tatooine doing what we do best.”

“Stealing?”

“Becoming a bounty hunter,” she proudly nodded, taking a long drink from her beer.

“So, I take it your her partner?” He asked Ava.

“Yeah, but not in bounty hunting.” She noted.

“Just in life then? Good for you two.” Quentin smiled.

“A bit more, dad.” Sara nervously began. “We’re actually here for the Alliance to Restore the Republic.”

“What are you talking about… I guess that explains why you’re back.” He thoughtfully admitted with furrowed brows. “It’s not safe for you here, both of you, but especially you, Sara. I’m guessing you know?”

“She’s actually a former Jedi.”

“Oh, then you’re even more at risk.”

“Why isn’t it safe?” Ava asked.

“Well, Mandalore has aligned with the Empire.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, so we’re getting ready to move more Empire soldiers here in two months.”

“What happened?”

“We had to protect our planet.”

“What’s happened since I left.”

“You’ve been gone for almost twenty years, a lot’s happened. Things haven’t been going to well and when the Empire came to take over Mandalore, we decided to help them instead. Our mercs are getting ready to ship off soon. I don’t know where, though.”

“We have to tell the Alliance,” Ava told Sara.

“Yeah, umm… we should,” Sara nodded.

“Sara, why don’t you stay a little longer. Diana and Laurel are coming by soon, and we’d like to know how it’s been.”

Sara nodded, looking over at Ava before giving him a small shrug, “I used to work for Jabba.”

“He still has a place on Tatooine?”

“Yeah,” she smirked.

“What happened after you left?”

“Well, four years ago, I joined the Alliance. I now have a ship, a crew, and a rank.”

“Your own ship?”

“Yup, the Waverider. She’s old but reliable.” She joked.

“I wish I was still young enough to do that stuff,” he reminiscently smiled.

“What did you used to do?” Ava asked.

“After Kryze started her reconstruction, I served as one of her guards until this one was born,” She smiled gesturing to Sara. “After she was born, General Kenobi of the Jedi Order came to Mandalore. He saw my daughter and told me that I needed to protect her. I honestly didn’t understand until Order 66 happened. I knew I had to protect you, so I sent you with him.”

“Yeah, I remember.”

“Wait,” Ava interrupted, “You never told me it was General Obi-Wan Kenobi. I thought he was dead.”

“Never.” Quentin smiled, taking another long drink from his bottle. “Now, how did you survive the Purge?”

“I abandoned my post.”

“When?”

“Six years ago, but now I help the Jedi with Sara. It’s a more important cause than pretending to have power while not protecting their own people.”

Sara glanced between Quentin and Ava, watching as the tension slowly faded and he backed down, “At least you two are doing something. I still don’t really understand, but you’re doing something.”

“The Empire is trying to kill off any opposing power and trying to keep the power with the old Senator Palpatine. They are against people like us, people who want a fair democracy or republic. They’re already running their current land as Tyrannies and Oligarchies.”

“That’s not good.”

“Exactly,” Sara nodded.

Quentin nodded and shrugged. “What can I do, sweetie?”

“Inform us on whatever you know so we can give all planets a choice.”

“Hey, Dad, I brought some kri’gee and an orange tart.” A voice called through the quiet home.

“Is that-” Sara asked.

“Yeah,” He began in a hushed tone before calling, “Great, we’re in the kitchen.”

“We,” Laurel laughed, setting the food on the counter. She looked up, spotting Sara’s reflection in the mirror. Her face stuck in a single confused glazed look. She opened her mouth but then closed it as she looked at her. “I thought you were-”

“Dead, surprise.” she tried to joke.

“I…”

Sara stood up and turned to her sister, taking a few tentative steps towards her. Quentin finished off his beer before taking the kri’gee his daughter brought and cracked it open.

“She’s been in hiding,” he explained, pouring out four glasses, “Now she’s back on a mission.”

“I can’t even… I don’t even know what to say.”

“Then don’t just listen.”

“Okay,” Laurel nodded, taking a glass out off of the counter and instantly taking a few swigs of the harshly tart liquor. Her face twisted for a second and then relaxed.

“This is gonna knock you off your ass,” Sara nodded as she moved the glass from Ava’s reach.

“What mission?”

“To fight the Empire.”

“Wait, really?”

“Yes,” She firmly told Laurel.

“Dad?”

“I agreed to help,” he nodded.

“Good, because I’ve actually been working on a case against them.”

“A case? This is an empire, not a court, Laurel.” Sara scoffed.

“I know, but this helps recruit people to my cause.”

“Your cause?”

“Well, I’m a part of the Alliance,” Laurel confessed.

“You, too?”

“Me, too? What do you mean?” Sara pulled out a badge from her back pocket and showed her sister. “Oh, you, too. When?”

“Four years ago, you?”

Laurel pulled out an old rusted badge from the inside of her jacket, “When they initially went around the galaxy five years ago.”

“How have you been able to live, dad said that it’s too dangerous for rebels?”

“Just a sec,” Laurel nodded, walking past Sara and to their other guest, “Hey, Laurel Lance, and you are?”

“Ava Sharpe.”

“Ex-Jedi,” Quentin explained, almost finished with his glass.

“Ex? What do you do now?”

“Recruit with Sara.”

“Hm, okay, good. We need more people. Did you two hear what happened with Alderaan?”

“No, what happened?” Ava asked.

“It was destroyed.”

“When?”

“Four days ago.”

“Oh my god,” Sara muttered.

“What?”

“We were going to go there last week and still would have been there now,” Ava explained, wrapping an arm around Sara’s shoulders.

“How did it happen?” Sara asked.

“The Empire’s Death Star destroyed it.” her sister told them.

“What’s going to happen next?”

“I don’t know. The Rebels have gone quiet. I’m trusting that they have a plan, so I’m still giving them what they need.”

“Me, too.” Sara agreed.

“Death Star?” Quentin asked.

“A large ship that can destroy anything.”

“So you’re recruiting,” he said pointing to Sara, “and you’re gathering secrets, what if you guys had a secret base here?”

“You mean turning this place into a Rebel’s base? Isn’t that a bit dangerous?”

“Well, yeah, but no. When this place was rebuilt, my dad made sure it could still train and contain soldiers in secret just like Old Dorjander did.”

“Dorjander?”

“He was a Mandalorian Knight,” Sara explained.

“He was the Mandalorian Knight.” her father corrected with pride. “He’s why you have your lightsaber.”

“The orange one,” Sara told Ava.

“One of a kind.”

“We should probably go update our commander before he gets worried.”

“You’re already leaving?” Laurel asked, hugging her.

“A Rebel never rests.”

“Please stay in contact,” Quentin asked, embracing his daughters.

“Okay, before I cry, I should go.” Sara joked, pulling out of her family’s grasp.

Sara backed away, looking over her shoulder as they walked out of the old house. She glanced back forward to Ava, reaching for her hand and catching up with her. Sara had to admit that while she was nine when she left Mandalore, she still missed playing and fighting with Laurel, watching her father work, and listening to her mother’s stories. Leaving that house again, felt like too much. For the first time in her life, she just didn’t want to be a part of the Rebel Alliance. She just wanted to stay here and live a normal life. Listen to her sister’s life and help her parents, but as she looked up at Ava, she realized that this was their destiny. Fight until they die, recruit until they drop. Sara rested her head against Ava’s shoulder and kissed the back of her hand.

Ava slowed down and turned back to face Sara, “Do you want to go back?”

“I shouldn’t or else I won’t want to leave.”

“Sara?”

“Yeah?”

“Nothing, I just wanted to let you know I love you.”

“Aww, I love you too.” Sara nodded, knowing there was still something on Ava’s mind.

As they finally got onto Waverider, Sara went to her study, pulling out a small green velvet box from a locked drawer. She sat down in her chair, flipping the box opened and closed. A soft knock on the sliding door broke her thought. Sara quickly shoved the box back into the drawer and locked it again, turning around in her chair.

“Come in.”

The door slid open and Ava walked into the room, resting against the brown oak desk, “Hey.”

“Hi,” Sara smirked, raising a brow. “What’s on your mind, babe?”

“I thought about it for a moment, and while we’re airing our dirty laundry, I should at least be honest with you.” Sara nodded and pulled Ava onto her lap. Ava rolled her eyes and just lifted herself onto the table, letting her legs dangle off the edge. “I’m actually not completely human. I’m a clone. I’ll just let that sink in for a moment.”

“A clone? How are you force sensitive?”

“Sensitivity is a bit random in genetics and rarely occurs in clones.”

“How’d they know?”

“I was originally trained to be a clone trooper, but when I was 13, a very attentive commander pulled me out and sent me to train as a youngling. After that, the only place I knew was the Imperial Palace.”

“I thought the Jedi no longer trusted Clones?”

“They trusted me because I wasn’t one of the clone troopers, I was a clone Jedi.”

“Did they ever try to kill you?”

“That was one of the other reasons why I left the Jedi. I couldn’t be trusted, so why fear for my life every day? You don’t have a problem with me not being human?”

“You are still human, there may be others that look like you,” Sara began, emphasizing her words carefully, “but they are definitely not my Ava.” she smiled, pecking the back of her hand. “Now, I have something for you,” she nodded, pulling herself between Ava’s legs.

“What, a quickie?”

“No, well if you want, but you might like this more.” Sara pushed Ava’s legs out of the way to the locked drawer and pulled out the green box, handing it to Ava. “Open it.” she offered.

“Sara.” Ava smiled, her eyes getting teary.

Sara chuckled to herself and wiped away the small tears, “I don’t know what you think it is but-”

“Shut up.” she retorted, opening the box.

She took out the silver ring embellished with yellow red and orange jewels. In the center was a fiery stone that reflected the colors of a flame, glittering and flowing. She looked at the small yellow stones that encircled one of the double bands, and the orange jewels that covered the other ones. Ava smiled and pulled Sara in closer, leaning down to kiss her. Sara chuckled and took the ring out of its box, holding it out for Ava.

“Oh, my god,” Ava tearily laughed.

“Oh my god yes or oh my god no?” Sara asked.

“Yes.”

Sara smiled as Ava cupped her jaw up and kissed her cheek, then her nose, and finally her lips. She slipped the ring onto Ava’s right ring finger, enjoying the color it added to her hands. Her hands slipped around her new fiance’s hips and pulled the chair until it clicked against her desk.

“Wait, let me put this thing into auto-pilot to Dantooine,” Sara muttered against Ava’s lips.

She stood up and programmed the coordinates into her ship’s navigation before going back to her current task. Sara stood up, wrapping Ava’s legs around her hips, leaning against her until she rested on her elbows, one hand up to hold her chin.

A loud beeping broke Sara slumber. She glanced around, pushing up onto her elbows to turn off the alert. After a glance at the notification, Sara pressed the red button labeled, “Stop”. The room fell silent before Ava began to stir awake. She tugged Sara back down, placing a few kisses on her bare breast.

“My lips are up here, you know?” Sara joked, watching as Ava’s tongue glanced over her nipple. “Not that I’m complaining. We landed, so we should leave soon.”

“God, I just want to stay in bed with you,” she softly whined, placing a few more pecks against her chest and shoulders.

“Me, too, but we need to get going, baby-girl.” Sara slid out of Ava’s grasp, pulling on her uniform and locking her belt in place. “Something to get rid of your lady boner, I was gonna propose to you on Alderaan.”

“Really?”

“Yup.”

“You’re right, it did kill my boner,” She sighed, pulling the sheets off and walking to their wardrobe.

“Ms. Lance, Ms. Sharpe?” They heard Cracken call out.

“Who’s gonna take who’s name?” Ava asked.

“Ava Lance?” Sara offered.

“Sara Sharpe, though.”

“I don’t know. Not big on alliterative names.” Sara shrugged.

“Sara?” He called again.

“Indecent!” She answered.

“Oh, when you’re dressed, I’ll be in the meeting room.”

“Thank you,” Ava called through the door.

Sara buttoned up her blouse and pecked Ava, quickly fixing her tucked shirt before escaping to the office. She jogged down the hallways, hearing Cracken’s footsteps through the corridors.

“Hey, what’s up?”

“I’ll wait until Ava joins us.”

“She’ll be out in a minute.”

“How were your planets?”

“Mandalore isn’t safe anymore, but I have some plants who can help with spying.”

“Good. The others?”

“Neutral or on our side.”

Ava joined them on the bridge, resting against the map in the center of the room, cheeks slightly flush from trying to catch up.

“Everyone on Scarif died.”

“Was that you suicide mission?”

“Yes.”

“How many?”

“We’re still counting.” He sighed, pulling out a drive. “We did get something out of it though, a flaw in the Death Star.”

“What?”

“A flaw in the Death Star. Here, take it. Your next mission is going to be taking down the Death Star.”

“Now that is a suicide mission.” Ava laughed in disbelief. “You’re joking right?”

“No. We lost too many people for me to joke around anymore.”

“Are we having any help?” Sara asked.

“Our squads have been training for this mission the past few days. This is our last shot, ladies, we need you. The galaxy needs you.”

“You and your fucking speeches,” Sara hissed, grabbing her jacket and swinging it over her shoulder. “Let’s get started.”

hello everyone! hope you all had an amazing start to the new week. it has been a joy for the entire staff to see all of your submissions and watch as your characters unfold. as you may have been waiting for, it is time to unleash three more of our species so without further ado, here is part 3 with fairies, elves, and psychics!

FAIRIES

overview depictions of fairies differ between cultures; for some they’re depicted as a benevolent race – for others, they’re playful and maybe even dangerous tricksters. in reality, fairies straddle a grey line of morality, being both light bringers and mischievous spirits. they hail from another world entirely, a realm which was destroyed some 73 years ago. fairies have been visiting the earthly realm for eons, aiding civilizations and the evolution of human kind. over the centuries, many fairies chose to stay on earth, while others bounced between realms. it was in 1947 that all fairies were forced to make earth their permanent residence - those who did not flee perished as their world imploded on itself. since the destruction of their world, for the better half of a century, fairies have lived peacefully on earth, and have remained cloaked to both mortals and creatures. it has only been in recent decades that their existence has been revealed by those in the creature community – exposing the properties of their magic and particularly, their blood. physiology a fairy's appearance is, by most standards, the definition of perfection - in the eyes of a human, they’re so alluring it’s hard for them to turn away. for other creatures, the allure is not so strong, but it is most definitely present. as an immortal race, a fairy naturally never ages past 50. by the time a fairy is aged into adulthood, they normally obtain the power to control their aging – either by reversing it, speeding it up, or stopping it completely. this power occurs at different times for every fairy, but normally anywhere within their mid 20’s early 30’s.  notable physical markers of a fairy include eyes that glow a bright blue in the presence of their own kind, and pointed ears. for the sake of blending in, many fairies have their points cut off. this practice was once considered shameful to their kind, but is now considered necessary for survival. abilities upon birth, fairies are immediately gifted with enhanced strength and agility. the rest of their powers develop as they age, until they reach full adulthood. seeing as fairies are capable of performing magic, this is often the first thing they’re taught - however they’re not able to tap into infernal magic, limiting them to the elements and celestial magic. fairies can also bestow both good and bad luck upon humans and other mortal creatures, and only the fairy in charge of the spell is able to withdraw it. one can only hope to be blessed by a fairy but should also fear their curse. they also possess the magical ability to heal injuries, illness, and many more. there is a theory that fairies are also capable of sickening their victims with plagues and other illnesses, but this has not been confirmed, nor denied. lastly, fairies are able to induce illusions through means of telepathic abilities, inspiring confusion and doubt. this is particularly useful when dealing with predators, or those wishing to harm them. weaknesses a fairy's scent is as alluring as their appearance, and to vampires, they’re dubbed the ultimate meal. for years, fairies have been a target in the blood trade, often leading them into dealing with vampires to save their own lives. their allergy to iron, while bothersome, is not as much of a hindrance as gold is. gold will enhance a fairy's magic and powers, but the metal will also induce confusion and break concentration, so it is mostly avoided. fairies do not get sick by normal humans means, but any fatal wound can kill them, or at least slow them down.  in addition, pure rock salt also completely diminishes a fairy's magic, and if spread across a barrier, this ensures that they can not enter. clans in the realm of fae, fairy clans were more respected the longer they were around, and the larger that they were. however, things changed when fairies were forced to live on earth - many families and clans were separated or vanished entirely from existence, as many perished in the incident of 1947. customary titles akin to that of royalty are now a thing of the past, and blood line purity is no longer much of a concern. clans are now mostly made up of survivors, found families and groups of fairies who have vowed to protect each other.  in rare instances fairies can and sometimes are completely nomadic, but it is usually due to being ousted from their own clan. though a sort of community exists among fairies, that doesn't stop feuds between clans, which have been known to turn out deadly. the common understanding all clans seem to have is the crucial nature of their survival, and it is because of this understanding that killing of a fellow fairy is seen as treason. though it will not end in the murderer's death, it will result in their exile from the fae community as a whole. fairy blood a substance not yet discovered by mankind, but has been a staple in the supernatural world a little less than a hundred years now. the chemistry of the fae blood is of the purest and most beautiful biological compounds. due to its purity, it can not be replicated or synthesized. the problem lies within the addictive, empowering quality of fae blood - while most creatures share similar side effects, such as feeling limitless, vivid hallucinations, temporary cell regeneration and keener senses, it is the vampires who are affected by the blood most of all. if a vampire consumes even the slightest amount of fairy blood, they harness the ability to day walk. though depending on the amount, it can wear off in minutes, hours, or days, but is never a permanent solution. due to the extinction scare of fae hundreds of years ago, fairy blood is now considered sacred amongst their kind, and the recreational consumption of it is frowned upon. fairy blood is worth a lot on the streets - whether it is given willingly or not.

ELVES

overview  elves are sinister creatures with the power of nature and animals with little mercy on those who cross their path. for centuries, the elves have been at the forefront of battles, banding together to battle alongside or against humans, leaving a sea of bodies in their wake. weapons were only a luxury, as their skin could secrete a lethal poison, potent enough to kill humans with the slightest touch. while elves have long since wreaked havoc on the human race, they are not entirely malicious - elves have also assisted humans throughout history, their moral alignment dependent on the type of elf you meet . since their poison has been discovered as the ultimate weapon for illegal hunters and mercenaries, many elves have had to cloak themselves rather than remain mainstream with the rest of the society. however, those who choose to be in the light, risk the chance of becoming another casualty in the black market. physiology elves are masters of disguise, capable of glamour - this allows them to  manipulate certain physical attributes, making themselves look slightly different, throwing off anyone who may think to recognize them. they have very few features that distinguish them from humans, if any at all. they gain their youthfulness from sunlight, and lack of it can age an elf just within a few days.  they stop aging around the age of 25, but they can accelerate their appearance or decelerate at times, permanently with magic.  moonlight weakens them slightly, making elves . This goes the same for cloudy days as direct solar energy is crucial to an elf’s survival and without it they can die. abilities with just a touch, an elf can poison their victim with a toxin emitted from their skin. It will render the individual extremely ill - a few days later, the victim will either recover or die, depending on the strength of their immune system, or the amount of poison they have been exposed to. an older elf can easily control the toxicity of their own poison, capable of administering doses weak enough to simply render their victim unconscious with no other consequences. this ability also renders them immune to other toxins or poisons. including their poison, elves have a connection to nature that's unlike any other species. they’re able to manipulate plants and animals, and with a great amount of energy, they are capable of restoring life, using their breath. while elves are stronger than most humans to an extent, they do not stand out particularly from the other species. weaknesses elves cannot go without sunlight for very long, as their vitality relies on it. they may notice signs early on, such as fatigue, losing their appetite and being unable to properly control their abilities. the only thing needed to truly kill an elf is to capture them, isolate them, and deprive them of sunlight - you’ll watch as they disintegrate into a mummified corpse.  iron will also weaken an elf, and their own powers can be their greatest enemy if they’re not careful in controlling it.

PSYCHICS

overview many believe in things such as intuition, déjà vu, fate or destiny. Within recent centuries the spiritualist movement has been taken by storm, opening up a whole new realm of enlightenment for humans. However, those gifted in the spiritual arts have existed for far longer than modern ideas and tropes of psychics. Some take on stereotypical personas for financial gain,  others hide it and use it for good, and still there are some who are ashamed. For some it is a gift and for others it is a curse. There’s no rhyme or reason to why or how psychics came to be and that’s what’s made their existence an intriguing phenomenon.

physiology physically psychics are no different than human beings. They're born and die like regular humans, leading mortal lives and having no clear way to escape death unless they’re turned by a supernatural species and lose all abilities they formerly had as a psychic. Their ability is not something that they experience from birth and this is what ultimately makes it hard for researchers to track their existence. It is only when experiencing extreme, emotionless duress that their ability awakens.

abilities every psychic has one single ability that they must harness and control if they don’t want it to completely consume them. Those gifted with dream weaving can especially be put in danger if their ability is not put in check quickly, but without resources many psychics don’t know where to get the answers they need to learn to control their powers. Furthermore, psychics have a great mental strength (this does not get rid of the possibility of mental illness, as that does exist within psychics). They’re able to ward off mental attacks or invasions from other species such as a vampires hypnosis, a fairies illusion or a sirens touch. Listed below are the powers psychics are gifted with individually.

- clairvoyants a physical connection is not needed for a clairvoyants intuition to peak. This can be a gut feeling, a sensation or an emotion that is stuck with them until the information they are receiving is acknowledged. with strong clairvoyance one can aid in finding the location of missing objects or people but cannot tell the future. they simply get ideas of what may happen rather than visions. this is ultimately one of the hardest abilities to control.

- mediums these psychics see dead people, and if they're skilled enough at it may be able to speak with them as well. Mediums can contact or summon those in the underworld or other planes, but they’re more easily available to spirits who have yet to cross over. Most people who experience mediumship think they’re hallucinating when the ability first appears, and as such It can take time for those with this gift to accept it.

- dream weavers these are endowed with the ability to create and exist in dreams, an extreme and very powerful ability similar to astral projection or lucid dreaming. along with being able to craft dreams for themselves (and others with practice), psychics with this ability are able to visit others within their dreams. however, this can be a very dangerous ability to have by nature alone - it may eventually become difficult to discern what's real from what isn't or one might lose the ability to return to consciousness at all.

weaknesses as stated above, anything that can harm or kill a human may also harm or kill a psychic. they are mortal, and as such they are just as susceptible as any other mortal to terminal illness, disease, and natural death by old age. Due to many psychics not understanding their powers they are also prone to psychotic breaks. Even then the most skilled psychic can fall victim to mental illness as their powers can be rather exhaustive.

Zen and the Art of Hovercycle Maintenance, Part 3

Ashe was sitting across from him, hat off, her white hair taking on a slight yellowish tint in the glaring light of the workroom. She looked smaller with the hat off, but sharper somehow, like a blade unsheathed. She sat across from him, leaned back in her seat slowly turning one of Zen’s orbs of destruction over in her hand. Bars and Bob loomed in the corner, and Zenyatta heard a sneeze to his left, moved to turn his head, but found he couldn’t. All motor functions shut down again, he thought.

“Way to ruin the moment, idiot,” muttered a voice to Zen’s right.

“Wasn’t my fault!” said the source of the sneeze.

“Both of you shut up–” said a voice behind Zen.

“Boys,” Ashe spoke simply and the three voices flanking Zen instantly silenced.

“Sorry boss,” they all spoke in unison. Ashe gave a nod of acknowledgement before fixing her red eyes on Zenyatta.

“Care telling me what you’re doing working with Jesse McCree?” She

“Can I ask what will happen if I don’t tell you?” asked Zenyatta.

“You can,” said Ashe, “You ain’t gonna like it.”

Stall, thought Zenyatta, You know McCree and the others are looking for you. Just stall.

“What will happen?” asked Zenyatta.

“We still find out,” said Bars, “We shut you down, dismantle your head, sort through your visual data from the past 36 hours a handful of terabytes at a time. We put everything back, put you back together, and wake you back up, of course, but everyone says it feels like everything in their head’s been moved an inch to the left.”

“You would do that to another Omnic?” said Zenyatta.

“I’ve done it to other Omnics,” said Bars, leaning in.

Zenyatta studied Bars’ face for a moment, “…one of those eyes isn’t yours, is it?” said Zenyatta.

“It’s mine now,” said Bars with a shrug. Horror flickered across the lights in Zenyatta’s forehead and Bars just stood up to his full height, “It’s all parts, Zen. That’s all it is.”

“How can you just…” Zenyatta trailed off.

“How many Null Sector units you see roving around here?” said Bars, folding his arms.

“…none?” said Zenyatta, “But they only target population centers–”

“You know how much prime solar power real estate is in these deserts? Enough to make a new Omnium,” said Bars, stepping forward, “But because there’re no population centers, you don’t see the US government giving a shit about it.”

“I told you,” said Ashe, leaning forward, “I’m the law around here.”

“You are a weapons trafficker, a bully, and a thief,” said Zenyatta.

Bob suddenly loomed forward, insulted on Ashe’s behalf, but Ashe held up a hand and Bob stilled. He signed something furiously but Ashe only gave him a short glance before saying, “It’s fine, Bob,” before turning back to Zen. “And you’re claiming moral high ground on account of, what, working with Jesse McCree? You come into my territory blowing shit up and you want to act like you didn’t throw a rock at a hornets nest?” said Ashe.

“Whatever personal issues you have with McCree–” Zenyatta started.

“Don’t,” said Ashe, “Tell me what you and McCree were doing out here.”

Bars was already looking over a tray laden with screwdrivers of various sizes. He turned on an acetylene torch to make sure it worked.

“Jesse McCree is with Overwatch,” said Zenyatta, and then he added, “I–I am with Overwatch. The new Overwatch.”

It felt strange saying it without Genji around. He and Genji had decided that Overwatch was the best means to stop the rising conflicts between human and Omnic in the world, but without Genji there, any connection Zenyatta felt to Overwatch was tenuous at best. Zenyatta had always felt like the one guiding Genji, but now, alone in a grubby little garage in the middle of nowhere on Route 66, Zenyatta felt like he had just wandered after Genji into this whole mess.

“Go on,” said Ashe as Bars examined a screwdriver.

“We were stopping a shipment of explosives,” Zenyatta spoke quickly, “Not yours. They were from Talon. The plan was to safely drop them off with the authorities at Watchpoint: Grand Mesa, when we were intercepted by the Sidewinders. There was a… miscommunication, on my team’s end, and rather than let the explosives fall into the wrong hands, we detonated them. I was separated from my team in the blast.”

“…you were caught in an explosion… because of a miscommunication…” Ashe repeated slowly.

I was caught in an explosion because I was put on a team with someone who doesn’t care if omnics live or die, thought Zenyatta before answering, “Yes. A miscommunication.”

“Well if McCree was on that mission, that doesn’t surprise me. Shit seems to have a magnetic attraction to fans when he’s around. Let me guess: McCree’s here because he’s ‘an expert on the area,’” said Ashe.

“You need to put me on this mission. I’m an expert on the area,” Zenyatta could clearly hear McCree’s voice in his memory.

“…yes,” said Zenyatta.

Ashe huffed incredulously. “I’d call him a son of a bitch but truth be told I have nothing but respect for any woman who spent that many years looking after his sorry ass without strangling him,” she stood up from her chair, now tossing the orb of destruction up and down in her hand and walking thoughtfully around the room, “That was the only reason you were here?” she said, looking back at Zenyatta, “Overwatch has no intention on stepping in on any of Deadlock’s operations?”

“Deadlock… isn’t as high a priority as Talon or Null Sector,” said Zenyatta.

Ashe chuckled and the triplets behind Zenyatta forced nervous laugh along with her. “’Not a high priority,’ he says,” said Ashe, “Oh, but once you take care of Null Sector and Talon, then petty criminals like us should be quaking in our boots,” she walked over to a worktable where her black hat was resting and fitted it back on, adjusting it in her reflection in the glass of a cracked analog television tucked in the corner, “Is that what you’re gonna do after you save the world? Do what the old Overwatch did after the Crisis and just start policing the world over again?”

“I… I don’t know,” said Zenyatta. He certainly didn’t see himself being an enforcer like that.

“No, you wouldn’t, would you?” said Ashe, looking at him with something almost like pity, “So… how is the fight going?”

“Excuse me?” said Zenyatta.

“The fight. The big damn heroic-ass fight,” said Ashe, “How’s it going?”

“I… would not be able to tell you,” said Zenyatta.

“Oh I don’t doubt that,” said Ashe, “But what do you think of it? Is it getting any easier? You got ‘em on the ropes?”

Zenyatta was silent at this.

“Figured,” She gave a glance to the orb in her hand, “You don’t exactly strike me as the mercenary type… what are you doing with them?”

“I heal and advise,” said Zenyatta. How often do they listen though? a bitter voice in his head spoke up, made sharper by his own sense of helplessness and isolation, Winston, Jack, and Ana listen to Doctor Ziegler before they listen to me because they actually worked with her. Lúcio is friendly, but his focus is largely on Vishkar. Genji listens, but he tends to keep out of the larger-scale strategizing anyway, so I can hardly expect him to advocate for me if he’s not advocating to begin with. Tracer listens, if only because she respected Mondatta.

That last thought stung and if Zen could have shaken his head to stop the train of thoughts, he would.

“You advise,” said Ashe, arching an eyebrow, “But you don’t know how the fight is going?”

“I don’t… advise tactically…” said Zenyatta, hesitantly, before attempting to assert himself as best he could while being completely immobilized. No, he wasn’t going to let himself get discouraged here. “Overwatch is a peacekeeping organization. If there is going to be peace, it requires guidance from activists like myself.”

“I thought you looked Shambali,” said Ashe, tilting her head, “So a cozy little alliance there, huh?”

“I… am no longer Shambali,” Zenyatta said a bit stiffly.

Ashe perked up a bit at this. That look of not-quite-pity seemed to shift into genuine concern. “Seriously?” she said.

“I was Shambali, but then the Shambali became overly concerned with dogmatism and overshadowed by their own fame, I believed the path to changing the world was in individual connections.”

Bob’s shoulders softened a bit at this but Bars made another exaggerated motion of his head to indicate eye-rolling.

“…So I set out on my own path,” said Zenyatta.

“And that lead you to Overwatch?” said Ashe, tilting her head.

Genji lead me to Overwatch, thought Zenyatta, but he managed a, “Yes.”

Ashe huffed a little before plopping back down in her seat.

“Bob,” she said, not even looking over her shoulder at the massive omnic butler, “Get my usual and get him some Glenwales.”

Bob perked up and quickly headed out of the room.

“I don’t want Glenwales–” Zenyatta started.

“Yes you do,” said Ashe. There wasn’t a playful ‘Come onnnn live a little!’ lilt in her voice, but rather a flat factuality.

“You threaten to take my head apart, and you think some oil is going to establish trust?” said Zenyatta.

“You talk about trust, but I wasn’t the one who started off this whole thing claimin’ to be an artist,” Ashe scoffed, “The sad part was I really wanted to believe that. We would have sent a tail after you when we let you go, I mean I’m not stupid, but I did want to believe it. But no, this isn’t about trust, Zen. This is about hospitality, and god knows you could use some.” She glanced over her shoulder at Bars. “Bars? Restore the motor functions of his head, neck, and left arm.”

“You sure, boss?” said Bars.

“Well I ain’t pourin’ that oil down his gullet, do you want to?” said Ashe, “It’s five on one and he’s not an idiot. Just lost. Like anyone.”

“I am not lost,” said Zenyatta, adjusting himself in his seat as he felt something pinch in his neck and felt the ability to move flood back into his arm.

Bob came back with an oddly fancy silver tray and two bottles and two glasses set upon it. One was an already-half-empty crystal decanter, the other was a commercial bottle of Glenwales, not even opened. 

“Sure you are,” said Ashe, filling her own glass with the whiskey, “You’re working with Jesse McCree, ain’t you?”

“Overwatch as an organization is far more effective than you give it credit for,” said Zenyatta. 

“I’m sure,” said Ashe with a shrug, “Yeah, it’s a hodgepodge, but the firepower you’ve got is nothin’ to sneeze at.”

“You’re more lost than me,” said Zenyatta, “You are plagued by doubt and resentment, your vision is clouded by anger, and you are ultimately chained down by your past.” His words would have far more effect with an orb of discord, but if it had managed to stop Genji in his tracks a few years ago, he saw no reason why it wouldn’t work on Ashe. But Ashe just kept that expression at him as Bob poured Zenyatta a glass of Glenwales and offered it to him. Bob looked questioningly to Ashe as well with Zenyatta’s words but Ashe seemed unshaken.

“Uh huh,” said Ashe, sipping her whiskey, “I know all that. And you’re in Overwatch because…”

“Because I must help,” said Zenyatta.

“Just not tactically,” said Ashe, swirling her whiskey in its glass, “And martially you can probably hold your own, but you’re not exactly a soldier. Or a doctor. And arguably you could advocate but as you said, you’re exactly Shambali, either.”

Despite finally having partial movement, Zenyatta stiffened in his seat.

“Lost recognizes lost,” said Ashe, “Which I guess brings me to the rub of the whole situation, which is, what do you think Overwatch would give to have you back?”

Zenyatta suddenly felt very hollow. Overwatch’s resources were stretched phyllo-thin as it was. He knew as a medic he was invaluable, but whether Overwatch had anything to offer or would even negotiate such a matter…

“It doesn’t matter,” said Zenyatta, “McCree was easily able to defeat you before–”

“Yeah. Fresh after a heist when everyone was exposed and exhausted and he was pulling the puppet strings on the situation just so he could get his glowy blue sex doll back. This situation calls for your team storming our turf–which, I promise you, will end up much worse if it really comes to that, which it doesn’t have to. I don’t have the time to bother with a hostage. Your team wants you back. We can take care of this like adults.” She motioned with her own glass to the bottle of Glenwales, “And we’ll see you’re well-taken care of in the meantime.” Zenyatta noted the virtually unchanged level of whiskey in her own glass and the still-sharp look in her eye as she set her own glass down. No, she wouldn’t get his guard down that easily.

“How kind of you,” Zenyatta’s voice was bitter and dry.

“Aw, thank you!” Ashe put a hand over her heart, “People tell me I’m too nice all the time.”

“They do?” said one of the triplets, before he got swatted upside the head by one of his brothers.

“Bars?” said Ashe, putting her hands on her hips, “Think you can figure out whatever comm network our guest is linked up to?”

“Shouldn’t be too hard,” said Bars, rolling his shoulders.

“Good. I want an accessible channel with it by the time I get back. You three,” Ashe motioned to the triplets, “With me. We’re riding. Making sure there’s none of those Sidewinder clowns in our territory in the meantime.”

“You got it, boss!” the triplets said in unison.

“Bob?” Ashe put a hand on the massive omnic’s shoulder, “I am leaving the comfort of our dear guest in your very capable hands… Also rip his head off if he tries escapin’.”

Bob gave a slight bow to Ashe as she walked out of the room, the Deadlock triplets trailing behind her in a line. They all headed out the door but Ashe paused in the doorway, “I mean, we can put it back, of course–”

“…Of course,” said Zenyatta, dryly.

Ashe made a finger gun at him, “Sit tight!” she said, before slipping away from the doorway.

About a minute of pure silence and stillness passed, punctuated only by the sound of Bars’ tools clinking as he sifted through them and then the hum of hovercycles in the distance. Zenyatta slumped a little in his seat, and then noticed Bob was pushing a glass of Glenwales in his direction.

“…I don’t want any,” said Zenyatta.

“Do you have tac-mods?” said Bars.

“Pardon?” said Zenyatta.

“Tactile modifications? You know, ‘Oh wow, organic partner, you touching me feels so good, and this is very genuine because I physically altered myself so we would both feel better about your dumb meatsack body rubbing on my chassis.’”

“…I… have.. some,” said Zenyatta.

“Where?” said Bars.

“That’s rude,” said Zenyatta.

“I’m asking you so I don’t hurt you,” said Bars.

“…Chest, forehead, and hands,” said Zenyatta.

“Really?” said Bars, “No…?” he gestured at his pelvic region.

“I…. considered them, but decided I wouldn’t get them until I found the right partner,” said Zenyatta.

“Ooh la-la,” said Bars, picking up a screwdriver, “Got a real romantic on our hands.”

“I’m a monk,” said Zenyatta.

“You’re not Shambali,” said Bars, stepping alongside Zenyatta and setting a screwdriver against one of the bolts securing the small flattened cylinder on the left side of his jaw. A few loosened screws the upper half of it came off easily. Zen didn’t feel a thing. He did feel a wire being stuck into one of the manual ports and then glanced off to the side to see Bars holding a tablet and tapping a few things into it. Zenyatta heard a high pitched noise buzz through his head for a few seconds before Bars extracted the wire.

“Got what I need,” said Bars, walking out of the room, “All you, Bob.”

Bob nodded as he headed off and the door closed behind him. Bob took a seat in the metal folding chair Ashe had been sitting in. It creaked and whined beneath his weight. Bob sat primly, one leg folded over the other, fingers interlaced on his knee like an old-fashioned gentleman in a victorian clothing catalogue. 

He signed something at Zenyatta.

“…I don’t understand,” said Zenyatta.

Bob perked up, slightly alarmed, held up a finger again in a “Wait,” gesture, then stood up, stepped over to a work table and rifled through it briefly before pulling out a data drive. He pulled a small handkerchief from the interior of his vest and wiped the data drive down, looked it over, seemed pleased with it, then stepped in front of Zenyatta once more.

He held up the data drive to Zenyatta.

“What?” said Zenyatta.

Bob gestured to the side of his own head, then pointed at the exposed port on the side of Zenyatta’s jaw.

Zenyatta flinched back slightly and Bob made a slightly flailing, “it’s okay!” gesture, before taking a phone out from the interior of his vest. He slowly and clumsily tapped something out on the phone and then held the screen up for Zenyatta to read.

It’s safe.

I promise.

“I would like to trust you,” said Zenyatta, “But… given the circumstances…”

Bob withdrew the phone, rapidly tapped the screen indicating him deleting a word, then tapped something out again and held the phone up once more.

“I PROMISE” was in all caps now and Bob held up the data drive.

Zenyatta paused, studying Bob’s face, then gingerly took the data drive from Bob and inserted it into the exposed port in the side of his jaw. His train of thought slowed as it always did when he was downloading a large amount of data and Bob started signing.

“I don’t understand what you’re–” Zenyatta started, but then he did.

“—doesn’t cover all the signs, people are always making new ones, of course,” Bob was signing, “But you should be able to fill in the gaps–Do you understand me?”

Zenyatta sat there, stunned.

“Do you understand me?” Bob signed again.

Zenyatta brought up his one functioning hand and slowly signed, “Yes.”

Bob’s eyes brightened. “Oh! I’m so glad! You don’t have to sign everything. You can just talk. It’s fine.”

“…why don’t you talk?” said Zenyatta.

“I tried a couple different voice boxes, Ashe and Bars still bring me some, sometimes,” Bob signed, “None of them sounded right. None of them sounded like me. This,” he signed, “Feels like me.”

“But you were made without a voice box?” said Zenyatta.

“Technically I’m just a slightly more advanced labor unit,” Bob signed, “I was never designed with one. I learned ASL because deafness is congenital in Miss Ashe’s family.”

“…explains why she’s so good at yelling,” Zenyatta said a bit dryly.

“It’s not my place to apologize on her behalf,” signed Bob, “But it does touch on a very sore spot that you’re involved with Jesse McCree and that you lied about it—”

“Because she’s the most dangerous woman in the southwest,” said Zenyatta.

“Dangerous things tend to be so to survive,” Bob signed. He paused for a bit and Zenyatta was silent as well.

“You spoke more than I thought you would,” Bob signed after a while.

“Oh–I did?” said Zenyatta.

“I was worried Bars would take your head apart–” Bob signed, “I mean the procedure is perfectly safe, but that doesn’t make it any less unpleasant but… you shared a lot…”

“…I can’t remember the last time someone asked me that many questions–me as in… me,” said Zenyatta, “Not what I thought so they could help themselves best—” He caught himself and then glanced back at Bob, who was still listening perfectly patiently, “I’m rambling. They’re a good team,” said Zenyatta.

“I’m sure,” Bob signed.

“They are,” said Zenyatta.

“I never said they weren’t,” signed Bob.

Zenyatta just slumped back in his seat a bit.

“I do wish we had met under better circumstances,” Bob signed, glancing off at the orb of destruction Ashe had left on the workbench, “But Miss Ashe doesn’t believe in keeping families apart. As harsh as she can be, she does want to see you back home.”

“I carry the Iris with me,” said Zenyatta, glancing off, “Home is wherever I can bring human and omnic together in harmony.”

Bob paused at this. “So home is with you,” Bob signed, “It’s not… technically… with them.”

“No–” said Zenyatta, “Well-Yes–I mean…” Zenyatta made a sighing sound. Not having any lungs, the sound itself didn’t have any physical purpose aside from giving him a few seconds to think, “Is this place home to you?” said Zenyatta.

“It is. I rather like being a dastardly rogue,” Bob signed, “It’s quite thrilling.”

Zenyatta chuckled a little at the sign for ‘Dastardly.’

“And Miss Ashe is my family,” signed Bob.

Zenyatta reared back slightly in his seat at this.

“She can surprise you,” Bob signed. He daintily extended a finger and pushed the little glass of Glenwales across the silver tray towards Zenyatta with his pinky.  “Lots of things about this place can.” 

Zenyatta gave a long look to the glass, then took it and gulped it down. Well, if he was going to be here for a while…

We had the quarter moon on 26 July, followed by five days of crescent moon, which prompts us to final action necessary for the fulfillment of this cycle’s goals which the Solar Eclipse in Cancer of 2nd July initiated.

This coincides with Mercury completing its retrograde cycle in Cancer on 31 July too, creating a sense of urgency & need for completion in the same area of our life.

Message is clear - finish what you started - before the Leo summer party begins from 31st July. So themes of first eclipse will come up for some sort of finality even though they will continue to be in progress in background till around 29 Oct’19 when it yields results in my view.

This period will see us transition from the past months event to the ball of excitement, impulses & surprises that is August prompted by Leo New moon of 31st Midnight/1st August.
