Can Fright Knight x Batman be a thing? Is it already a thing? I just saw this post where Frighty is acting as Danny's dad and I just want something with Fredric Knight meeting Bruce like..

Bruce is happy Daimian is making friends. This new kid, Daniel "call me Danny" Knight, seems nice. Kid might be a meta or something, with the way his eyes reflect like a cats and how he seems to always be cold, but he doesn't seem to be a bad kid and his background seemed to check out.

Yesterday Damian had invited Danny over for a sleepover and Bruce was stoked. Dami is having a friend over! A civilian friend! This is so normal and great! Danny had said his father would be picking him up the next day and would show up on his motorcycle (which was apparently named Nightmare?)

Bruce is in the sitting room close to the entrance when Alfred goes to buzz the gate for Danny's father. After a few minutes, he can hear Alfred walking the man in and explaining that "young Master Damian will be down with young Daniel in a few minutes. Till then, maybe you'd like to speak with Master Bruce?"

Bruce almost falls out of his seat when this almost 7 foot tall hunk of a man walks in, with his long raven black hair with a streak of gray down the center, all pulled back into a low ponytail. His bright green eyes have that same, almost glowing, shine that Danny's have and he's got a neat bit of stubble on his sharp jaw. He holds himself tall and seems to scan the room before setting his gaze on Bruce, who is using all his will to not ogle at this gorgeous man in front of him.

He stands to greet him and, oh God, he may actually be 7ft. "You must be Danny's dad, right?" He offers his hand to shake, "Bruce Wayne. I'm happy to see my son making friends with such a nice kid."

The behemoth of a man stares at his hand for just a moment to long before he shakes it and introduces himself, "Fredric Knight. I'm also glad my son is making friends." He says with the hint of a smile, "He's been a bit reclusive since we came here and I don't believe that's been healthy for him."

The two fathers talk for a bit, Bruce doing his best to be Batman ever now and then to make sure this guy isn't a potential threat. After some time, Danny and Damien walk into the room with Danny's bags, "Hey Dad, hi Mr. Bruce. Sorry that took so long," he says as he walks over to Fred (Bruce was told he could call him that) and half hugs the man, "Dami has a snake and he let me feed her!" Fred looks down at his son and pats his head, "That sounds interesting, little prince. Was it a frightful creature?"

As father and son speak, Bruce notes how fond Fred seems of Danny. The 'little prince' name seemed cute and pretty fitting with the last name. He also notes how Fred seemed to relax just a bit the moment Danny walked into the room (the same way he would after his children returned from patrol safe and unharmed), huh.

They say their goodbyes and the father-son duo are escorted out. Bruce and Damien watch as they ride down the driveway, Danny doing his best to wave at them from between his father's arms.

"We should invite the both of them over for dinner." Bruce says with a hand on his son's shoulder, "Fred seems like an interesting character, don't you think?"

"Father,"

"Yes Damian?"

"Please do not seduce my friends father."

Post Cars 3 human!lightning headcanons:

(Also leans into a bit of AU territory but the AU starts after cars 3 so it’s ok)

-mid 30s

-doesn’t race with the rookies officially anymore. He holds dirt track races for him and all the older racers. People are allowed to come and watch. These races get real popular, but they quieted down after a while.

-he didn’t get a new car cause he’s to attached to his old one, and he refuses to alter it either.

-uses Docs old car a lot. He fixed it up because being a mechanic became a new hobby of his

-had a couple a scars due to the assassination attempt and the crash. he also takes a bunch of meds cause the crash messed him up real bad. A lot of people consider Lightnings crash one of the worst.

-has ADHD. It was really bad when he was younger (cars 1) but it’s calmed down now

-people talk about Cruz getting in a potential car crash due to it being almost a curse. Doc, Strip, McQueen, so people think Cruz is next. It doesn’t help that this is one of McQueens biggest fears.

-races Cruz as a part of her training

-hates it when people call him old. Everyone calls him old.

-usually wears sweatpants, a white shirt, a jacket that’s both his old logo and Dinoco themed, and his own merch (a hat and lightning glasses) as a crew chief uniform

-he let Cruz use his old racing suit (he also let her alter it a bit by adding some of her signature yellow to his red)

-lost a bit of his professionalism but not a bit of his charm

-gets a lot of appreciation from the rookies on the track (cause he’s practically a dad to everyone on the track now)

-Lightning is to Cruz like Doc is to Lightning but way more chaotic

-part time teacher at Rusteze racing center. It was a horrible idea to hire him, but the rookies love him

-Harv made him keep his hair cut short and clean, but now he lets it grow out.

-He also has a heavier accent now due to all the time he spends in radiator springs.

-Married Sally. Fans started calling her Mrs. McKing. Though there’s already a Mrs. The King. They are best friends and have their own fan base.

-Always carries a cup with him to all of Cruz’s races. None knows what’s in it, and when anyone asks, he always gives a very vague answer, so none knows. It’s become very popular online for people to guess what Cruz Ramirez’s crew chief is drinking.

-convinced all his old racing friends to help out in the pits or become crew chiefs of their own rookies

-doesn’t usually let Cruz race internationally. He knows it’s unfair, but he’s still a little wary after the whole assassination attempt. A few of the racers from the world grand pix actually reached out to him to tell him he should be less paranoid in the nicest way possible- but then again, people strapped a bomb to his best friend in a attempt to murder him

-tried to teach Sally to race. He always lets her win even if he knows he can beat her easily.

-either really rough with Cruz or really soft with her; but over all incredibly over protective of her

-casually mentions/references things that happened in movie 1/2 and the majority of the time, no one but the Radiator Spring residents what he’s talking about

-hasn’t let Cruz get an proper agent yet. He knows he should, but he and Dinoco are enough right now.

-can throw Cal over his shoulders and drag him around (no matter how much Cal screams at him to put him down)

-broke off his contract with Harv and put Harv on a no contact list. I don’t personally think Harv was physically or extremely abusive- I thinks he’s more exploit-y and mostly cares about fame and money. He was really distant with McQueen but he did have a good hold over the kid, I mean we all know how excited Lightning gets when he gets to talk to or even see Harv. The entire court case was about Harv taking more of Lightnings winnings than what’s legally allowed, and it really changed Harvs attitude towards Lighting, which led to a restraining order and a no contact order.

-I have another headcanon that Harv became Jackson Storms agent, which led to a whole other court case

-Sally was the lawyer for both those cases

There is something about Joel, but especially about Pedro Pascal`s portrayal of Joel, that feels so fragile. Sure he`s a tough guy, we know he`s done horrible things, he knows how to survive and what a cost of survival is. Yet, there are those moments, when his face softens almost imperceptibly and you can see the pain of his loss clear and fresh as if it happened yesterday. He moves on quickly, but no matter how much posturing he does, there is no way to hide the fact that at his core he is a father, a protector and a deeply loving man.

There is a quote from Fleabag that has stuck with me for a long time (minor spoilers for Fleabag season 2, I guess?). In season 2 Fleabag talks about her late mom and she says to her friend: “I don’t know what to do with it. With all the love I have for her. I don’t know where to put it now.” It makes me think about Joel. We know that he had Sarah when he was only 22, there are also clues that Sarah`s mom left their family picture pretty early on. Yet, I think he`s settled into parenting with ease, it came naturally to him and he was really good at it. Life must have been very difficult at the beginning, being a young single father, working to support himself and his tiny daughter, he must`ve struggled a lot! But being a dad? Loving Sarah? That was always the easy part.

Sarah was Joel`s whole world and he was ready to love his daughter thought 10 of her lifetimes. He wanted to love her though high school and college. He wanted to love her as she grew into a young women finding her place in life, love her as she got her first job and walked down the aisle. He was ready for that love to multiply as he became grandpa Joel. And one day in far future, when he was no longer there, he`d leave her with a legacy of that love, a gift that she could keep and share and build upon.

Instead that love became a shroud.

In that moment time stopped for Joel. He adapted and did whatever he had to do to survive, but he was no longer interested in anything else. Living was for that time from before, living was with Sarah. And I think he would`ve carried on like that until he met his fate one way or another. Instead, by a stupid twist of fate, he ended up with a kid in his care. And he hated it, he wanted no part of it, because he knew. Some part of him knew from the very beginning. So he did his best to treat her like cargo and keep his distance, but she got under his skin and fast. There was something about this loudmouth, swearing, pun-loving energetic kid, this singularity of a person. She could see right through him and that terrified him. He tried so hard not to care, to run away from that connection, but when she asked him to stay, becasue with him she felt safe, he couldn’t help it. It happened despite of himself, despite all the conflict, panic and fear. It was hard and they`ve struggled a lot, but loving Ellie? Taking care of Ellie? That was the easy part.

We can argue about morality of Joel`s decision until we are blue in the face, but one thing we can probably all agree on is the inevitability of it. That decision has been made long before they`d set foot in that hospital. Joel knows the pain of losing a daughter and he`d do anything to never to feel that pain again. And I really believe he wouldn’t have survived losing Ellie, it would, quite literally, break his heart. And that is the selfish part of his choice. But I understood recently, that there is also a selfless part to it. One that is all about Ellie. It was about ensuring her future, because he sees Ellie not as a potential savior for humanity, but as a full person. Person with dreams, planes, hobbies and aspirations. Troy Baker, once said in the podcast about Joel: “He saved the world, it’s just the world was that little girl.” His girl, his daughter, who wanted to become an astronaut, learn to swim, learn to play the guitar and read every Savage Starlight comic. And he believed this is worth saving, she`s worth saving. And he saves her, knowing full well he would have to live with the consequences of this choice, suffer through them. But he has no regrets, he would`ve done it all over again, because she got to live and that means everything.

In Fleabag (same warning applies) after Fleabag says: “I don’t know what to do with it. With all the love I have for her. I don’t know where to put it now”, her friend responds: “I`ll take it. No, I`m serious, it sounds lovely. I`ll have it, you have to give it to me”.

Public Figures AU

The fantastic and very fuckin funny @sunnylolli reminded me of my own au where the countries are public knowledge and people have known about them for a while.

In my au the countries have been public knowledge forever. In my humble opinion it's very hard to hide immortal being from humans. There would be too many questions, too many stories and too much effort in hiding such a thing. The public is used to them and treats them like any B-list celebrity

ALFRED IS MADE FOR THE SPOTLIGHT! That boy is so comfortable in the spotlight its actually an issue. He posts so regularly on social media that one could consider that one of his hobbies. Being that famous of course, he can't really work for NASA or have a normal engineering job (like in my regular universe) so he has a big social media presence. Be that instagram, twitter, tiktok, youtube or even twitch.

Alfred streams on twitch with Gilbert. They play some FPS and talk about some historical event completely unrelated to the game.

Arthur has a personal instagram account where he only posts pictures of his garden, his books an his kids. Every once in a while he posts a picture of Zee or Jack while they were younger during the victorian era in those frilly dresses and one of them will just be like: "dad delete this or im rebelling"

Arthur is active on facebook and so is Francis

Francis only follows cooking channels, fashion blogs and philosophical content. He constantly endorses brands and takes part in commercials for Vogue, LV, Dior... He is a sort of sponsor/face for some brands and is asked to promote them online. You'll see his face in every third magazine and fashion articles follow him on a regular basis.

Matt is the one who avoids the spotlight the most. He will answer interview questions and do a QnA on tv or youtube but will hybernate for the rest of the year afterwards. He is also the one who is most secretive about where he lives. De has a huge fear of doxing himself and wants more than anything to keep his privacy. In my universe Matt is still a doctor and has a clinical doctorate in medicine but can't work as one due to being a sort-of celebrity. That's why he still gives lectures on college campuses and publishes papers regularly but doesn't work in any clinic or hospital.

Smaller countries have an easier time with fame and being public knowledge. They can walk around in their own countries on the street and pass of as a normal human being while, for example, Alfred has a harder time doing the same. Being himself, he is lucky he hasn't doxed himself yet and doesn't have paparazzi follow him from his home to work.

There are some meetings held by personifications that are broadcasted to the world to see and people online make compilations of cringe and funny moments during those meetings. (That would be my fat ass in that au)

Countries are often asked to help and aide with the makings of history books and are often cited as a source at the end.

Countries are legal citizens and have rights. Not all rights but the ones that the do have include: right to life, right to freedom from torture and inhumane treatment, the right to equal treatment before the law, the right to privacy, the right to freedom of thought (religion, opinion and expression), the right to work, the right to education, the right to social services... While not having certain rights like the right to marry but all the while having a right to have a family.

What is the most unusual profession someone in your family was in? Oh brother. My dad had an uncle who pretended to be a doctor and carried a doctor bag around. He refused to admit he wasn't one. The same uncle got most of his nose bit off by a horse. It was a strange time.

What hobby were you really into as a kid? writing, always.

What's the last movie you watched? Did you enjoy it? What genre is it? I watched This is 40 for some reason. I didn't find anyone particularly likable but did laugh a bunch. I wanted to watch something kind of mindless because we just finished watching Sopranos and that was so heavy. What is your favourite movie genre?  documentary maybe? What movie would you recommend? Mary Poppins, always. It's fun as an adult to see the chemistry between Julie Andrews and Dick vanDyke. This is literally the only movie I can think of right now.

Maybe 4 friends know about the fanfic writing and one in particular tells me to be proud of it and to tell more people, but I'm too shy for that. I still stay pretty quiet about it in general. If you could do one activity with your pocket/fandom friends what would it be? Oh god, I just want to be in a cuddle pile and talk about this damn show until we all pass out.

Imagine, right, Mikey reads scary stories and he and Donnie are writing an episodic murder mystery story. Leo does mini-lessons in Japanese language and culture. Raph blasts absolutely banger music and gives updates on any new happenings New Yorkers should watch out for - ongoing gang wars, aliens on the loose, but also charity events outside of Oroku Saki’s work because. Fuck Oroku Saki lol

Whenever they get into trouble and can’t get to their radio station or are too busy fighting something, the few New Yorkers that listen to them worry, and as they worry, they talk, and so ironically anytime the station goes quiet, the awareness of it spreads. The turtles keep coming back to new listeners, and they make more stories, more little lessons, they share little censored bits of their life. Mikey does in-depth analysis of superhero comics and shows like Star Trek, and very often reminds his listeners to Be Fuckin Weird!!! Be you be fun be interesting, your interests and hobbies are so cool I promise you, your outfit is banger and your hair is stylish and you deserve to feel confident in yourselves!!

Donatello shares hacks to make putting together machines easier for yourself, especially encouraging women to not feel intimidated or ridiculed by men for never being taught stuff like car mechanics — once you know where to start and what things look like, it’s easy enough! He researches reliable resources both online and offline, and occasionally rambles about new breakthroughs and what they mean in the bigger scope of all things science.

Professor Honeycutt, when he visits - that interview sort of cements that he’s not making these people up, because, well. Everyone had seen and heard the fugitoid during the invasion. He interviews superheroes, both those that work during the day, and those that work during the night (and yes, he does interview the Turtle Titan). He invites the Battle Nexus Daimyo for a visit. But the interview most beloved by the listeners… is one Raphael conducts with his dad.

They never mention they’re mutants, but I wonder how many people feel something click in their minds when Raph starts the interview by going “so. Just you and four kids, practically homeless, hiding in the shadows. How did you manage, those first few years when we were really little?” And they talk about being a single dad who was “barely an adult” (read: still learning himself how to be a mutant) and all the folks out there who maybe had to deal with having kids too early or at a time where they couldn’t properly take care of them as much as they wanted to, they all lean in, because this man sounds like he’s about sixty now - surely he’ll have some wise words of advice? And he does, Splinter talks about having to learn what kids are even like, never having had interacted with that many people in general before, he often had to guess at what was a serious ailment and what was simply a byproduct of childhood and later puberty, he talks about how visiting his few friends (the Ancient One, and the Daimyo) helped him remember that he’s not all alone to do this, he talks about how what worked for one of his sons didn’t work for the other three and how a parent should always remain flexible and open minded and accepting of change, as change is natural to life and inevitable especially during the early years. And they talk and talk and I bet a bunch of New Yorkers go “wait a minute.. four guys that live on the streets with a dad they occasionally call a ‘master,’ one of them constantly talks about machinery, they all speak fluent Japanese… could these possibly be the fucked up little guys that saved my ass that one time? Could this be the guy I punched that one time cuz I freaked out?’

Like. Just consider it okay. A turtle radio station.

Hmmm, We need to talk about Kevin is a great film if you're interested in a film where you leave feeling confused and empty, as you have NO emotional connection to the main character. The perks of being a wallflower is a fav movie and book of mine, because it's a good story for those who never really fit in. (both these films have Ezra Miller in them: but in Perk's he just a side character.) Bang Bang You're Dead is a good film, dealing with the point of view of the bullied and retaliation. (And it has Randy Harrison, my queer as folk blondie love) Umm, Tick Tick Boom for the life of Jonathan Larson, someone who was a huge deal in the theater world. It's a musical, as is the 2012 Les Miserable film. Ummm, If you're not that conservvative of a person, I'd suggest South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut as well as Orgazmo. Both are written & directed & starring Matt Stone and Trey Parker, who are absouute film idols of mine. Riding in Vans With Boys which is a fun Jackass-style film about this small band that goes on tour with Blink 182 & Green Day for their pop disaster tour. Umm...I've got a lot of films I can recommend, I was a film major lol. Boy Erased was used in helping to write Gay Wieners.

🌼 Caede Tales characters give me a tricky time to answer this, because the story is told over the course of their entire lives, but by the time the story really starts going (Aka, Archer is joining Maliwan), he's about 29 while Joey is 25 !

And for the last time he's seen, he's around 40 something.

🎹 No <3 [/hj] But for a serious answer ! Archer isn't someone who has a lot of hobbies, he's usually too busy with work to really have his attention dispersed, but when he is stationary for a certain amount of time and work slows down, he likes writing poems in post-it notes and then bringing them home to collage em together. He says it's just to make time pass faster, but he does genuinely enjoy writing and reading. Otherwise, he's usually just working.

❤️ One time, when Archer was a kid– no older than 13– he and Jonah were our and about for a little mission with their dad, but they couldn't go back home right away, so they had to sleep on a tent outside. Their dad fell asleep pretty fast, so for most of that time they were together, playing and talking and trying to tire themselves out. They eventually got to lying down, and seeing the stars so clearly above them, with only the other brother to keep them company now, was really kind of a foundational experience. They both promised that no matter what, at some point, they would make it to those stars, and they'd both shine just as brightly for other kids in Pandora to marvel at, so maybe a few of them gets inspired to change the world too.

But you know, silly childhood dreams.

🌼 Mary is about 54! She ages very gracefully in the sense she's happy about growing old, since so many people in the planet don't get that luxury most of the time. She dies at about 71, not long after Lucio, but at least she didn't die alone like he did.

🎹 Oh Mary has plenty of hobbies, that you can be sure ! Gardening, weaving, playing violin (usually with her kids), cooking, anything to keep the hands busy and the brain focused in a task. It's not wise to leave yourself unoccupied when your head is full of thoughts Constantly, and Mary is all too familiar with it. Thankfully there's always something that needs doing in the house and in the town in general !

❤️ One of the most special memories in Mary's life is getting to escape her old clan, leaving with Lucio in this special, once in a lifetime romance with someone she was sure would bring her happiness, seeing the world she used to know expand its borders so much farther than she thought they could... it was a weird adaptation, but it felt like her life actually had purpose now, that she would get to help people elsewhere, and bring some good to the otherwise very violent wasteland she called home. It was a choice for certain, and one she never regretted.

🌼 In a quantifiable, human-adjacent age ? He's been stuck in his 30's for a while. In actuality ? About 3 Million and some, but in this reincarnation he's around 328.

🎹 Working out, and anything that includes moving his body (Parkour, hiking, running, you name it). Luis is the kind of guy who hikes the everest without any gear and then returns home a month after like "wow, that was refreshing". He's extremist and won't hesitate to remind you several times by running around in the woods in the dark for fun. Otherwise he usually either cooks or plays videogames with his housemates.

I’ll admit the boy princess trope is pretty fun, I love turning norm tropes on it’s head by having this boy be so full of whimsy and everything that Disney princesses have emulated for years. I love his Aurora-isms a lot. I really like Sleeping Beauty in general so its nice seeing how that carries over in his story.

He’s also just genuinely entertaining. His and Jamil’s bit from Endless Halloween is my favorite banter out of the whole event. He’s just a strange lil guy (affectionate) and Jamil really traded one scatterbrain for another lol 

What I hate about them: He doesn’t have too much to talk about, which I get is part of his character. I like his stories about his dad fine but he needs to find another hobby other than training (which I get thats why its his hobby, its not really like he can sit down and do much else because of his curse/disability, but maybe someday he can find the right accommodations and find more for himself other than living in guilt that he isn’t good enough)

Which that BRINGS ME TO ANOTHER THING. Genuinely sad he seems to hate himself. Like I don’t know why he’s so hard on himself when his family has been extremely accepting and understanding of him. It’s like very deep-seated and I hope he can get past that 

Favorite Moment/Quote: Tied behind his very wholesome speech to the fairy queen about wanting humans and fae to live in harmony with each other and taking the blame for the heist the group pulled 

And him just trying and failing to tell Jamil stories that his father told him and tales of his childhood. The man will go through a whole story and either forget to mention the most important detail or straight up describe something wrong. He so silly.

What I would like to see more focus on: Show us more of his Aurora traits! Confirm to us that he’s the prince we all know he is! Also spoilers he should totally tear Malleus a new one for everything he’s done 

What I would like to see less focus on: His very minimal details about himself that he repeats. I also know this is because he is a walking spoiler, but my boy, people think you’re boring and I know you aren’t!!

Favorite pairing with: I really love MC x Silver a LOT. I also think he and Idia could be fun given that Idia literally stares at him and goes “aughh pretty”

Favorite friendship: Silver and Sebek <3 

NOTP: Anything involving him and his family, particularly his father. Just because he’s adopted doesn’t mean that these people aren’t any less his family. 

Favorite headcanon: He is the entire reason Sebek exists. 

The Zigvolts already had two kids that are implied to be decently older than Silver and Sebek (possibly by a whole generation)  

We know from Lilia’s dorm vignette that the Zigvolts were so upset at Lilia literally LOSING HIS BABY that they insisted on taking care of Silver when Lilia couldn’t/was still figuring it out. 

I think mrs. Zigvolt got baby fever and was like “honey, I want another baby 🥺” and thus Sebek was created. 

Silver was an angel baby too. He hardly cried, to the point it was probably a little creepy.

Get to know my OCs: NPC relationships

Sentry Ojeda:

- was in love with Gortash as the leader of the Bhaalist cult.

-Before he found out he was a Bhaalspawn and led the cult, he spent some of his childhood at the temple of Ilmater and considered Father Lorgan a father figure.

-Had close friendships with a lot of the workers at Sharess' Caress because they accepted him without judgement. Considered Ffion a mother figure.

-Gets along well with Dammon and enjoys talking shop with him.

-Considers Rolan one of his best friends, but mainly because it really annoys Rolan that he does.

-Understands Barcus Root and becomes a good friend of his when he realizes that the way he used to be Gortash's boyfriend now feels an awful lot like what Barcus has going on with Wulbern now that Sentry is working towards redemption.

-Raphael gives him bad vibes, he only realizes why when he remembers Gortash.

-Dame Aylin is his very best friend and coolest older sister figure ever. He basically idolizes her.

-Bothering Ketheric was his hobby when he was Bhaal's chosen.

-Looks up to Zevlor as who he wishes his father was.

Jaina Thalassia:

-Doesn't like Ulder Ravengard and considers him a bad parent, tolerates him for Wyll's sake, rescued him for Wyll's sake when she realized how sad he was that his freedom cost his father's life after she convinced him he deserved freedom.

-Just a complete catty bitch to Mizora. This is where we see the most influence from Yennefer of Vengerberg in her characterization. She is dismissive of the cambion and things she's vain and overconfident.

-Hates Raphael and is highly wary of his behavior towards Mol. As a teacher she knows all the Red flags she's seeing.

-Close friends with Bex, Alfira, Lakrissa, and Lia. She's missed having Tiefling friends since she started working in Baldur's Gate.

-Although she's probably younger than Rolan by a couple of years, she feels protective of him because she's met Lorroakan and knows he's a prick and a terrible teacher.

-Devoted to the tiefling children. In the absence of her own students, she feels responsible for these kids.

-Strikes up a friendship with Aylin and Isobel. She usually doesn't trust female Elves or humans(Aasimar are close enough in her mind) because of her coworkers but she's pleasantly surprised to find one she gets along with outside her party.

-Awkward around Zevlor because she's realized he's the tiefling paladin her dad had a fling with when he was younger and traveling as an adventuring paladin

Ghustil Kroger:

-Admires Kithrak Voss and will generally trust what he has to say.

-it's on sight with Auntie Ethel. Some of his companions may find her amusing, but that's medical malpractice she's committing and he takes that seriously.

-Kind of clings a bit to Isobel for guidance and information about Selune when Vlaakith abandons him.

-Still hasn't forgiven Nettie for trying to poison him, which is also medical malpractice.

-Really miffed at how Inspector Valyria doesn't seem to want to do her job.

-Finds Rolan incredibly attractive but unlike how easily he was able to approach Wyll, he can't really do the same with Rolan, so he's an arrogant dick right back to him.

Gish Octavia:

-Thinks Auntie Ethel is her friend and their fights are a game of sorts

-Was planning to kill Lorroakan the second he was rude so she could steal half his library.

-Alfira is probably her favorite person in the world.

-Actually Lucretious might be.

-Wishes she could meet Mystra so she could stand up to her for Gale.

-Thinks of Rolan as a fun academic rival.

-Isn't so sure why her 'siblings' are so quick to trust Voss when Vlaakith herself has already betrayed them.

Jackal:

-Actually appreciates Raphael and has him on his list of potential people to follow.

-Considers the same for Cazador if Astarion won't accept him.

-Tolerates Orin because she also hates Sentry.

-Views people like the Drow Twins as pathetic and an insult to his people. Same for Araj Oblodra.

The idea that "criticizing female wrongdoers is evil" is not exclusive to Edelgard stans, unfortunately.

Back when Once Upon a Time was on the air, Regina Mills committed mass murder, rape, brainwashing, etc. Yet she had a similar "Cult of Personality" fanbase that would constantly scream at you at the top of their lungs if you criticized Regina even slightly. And they actually managed to succeed in turning Regina into a "Black Hole Sue" that constantly had everyone (including her biggest victims) kiss her ass.

And in the Avatar fandom, Azula fans have gotten crazier, screaming at the top of their lungs that Zuko is a terrible person because he ran away from the sister who tormented him for years.

And in the Castlevania fandom, fans make excuses for Lenore, who treated Hector like a sex slave through magical enslavement.

And don't even get anon started on Ragyo Kiryuin from Kill la Kill, who sexually abused her own daughter, and still had fans make excuses for her.

Something about modern fandom culture seems to drive people to worship female abusers and murderers, as if women aren't subject to the same laws and consequences as other people. It's a dangerous mindset, and worst of all, it's spreading.

Every generation of young people becomes the next generation of leaders, and anon fears for the future when these people will eventually be running the world.

I feel like female antagonists are a lightning rod for it right now, but I wouldn't say it's even exclusive to fictional women. I wouldn't even say it's really a modern fandom culture problem. It's a human problem. Humans in general have a fascination with authority, power, and confidence. That's why authoritarian regimes rise and fall throughout all of human history, and why so many of our oldest tales are about remaining humble and not abusing power.

It is something we have dealt with countless times before, and it's something we will continue to deal with until we destroy it or it destroys us.

I find several things far more concerning for the future of our society than the media being consumed and/or justified by modern fandom. Because I don't think media causes the problem, I think the way fans behave about media is a symptom of the problem (and sometimes that behavior needs to be called out, but it's not the media's fault necessarily).

Speaking as an American, I think the biggest thing threatening our youth, at this point, is the infantalization of adolesence, the ridiculous amount of monitoring and controlling of children and teens, and the intense social isolation born from essentially being a prisoner in your own home until you're 16 years old (and longer if your family can't afford to get you your license or a car).

I don't honestly believe that most kids and teens would spend so much time consuming media and arguing about it on the internet, basically living tethered to social media, if they were allowed to walk to the park by themselves and play with their friends, or if a teen could reliably get to their friends' house across town and hang out somewhere with them where they wouldn't be seen as a nuisance or dangerous, or if they could get to meetups and hobbies and meet people without needing to beg mom and dad for a ride every time. No one wants to be terminally online, but what choice do a lot of kids even have these days? When walking to the corner store down the street is so dangerous that it's basically a death sentence, because there's no sidewalks and everyone is driving Sherman tank sized SUVs and trucks 25 miles over the limit?

Like I was a kid before a lot of this stuff was getting really bad, and even I feel like I was robbed because I had to waste so much of my adolescence stuck behind a screen. There was no one to talk to IRL unless you were lucky enough to live in the same neighborhood as your friends (I did not), nowhere to go, nothing to do, and no way to get there until I turned 16. That's absolute murder on your mental health, so it's no wonder kids are latching onto anything to fill the gaps.

And I dunno. It's sad that these days our childhoods are defined not by who we knew or where we went or what we did, but by what corporate schlock we consumed.

That's not even getting into how that extreme isolation and inability to escape intensifies abusive environments. Imagine being a 14 year old queer kid in a hostile household, and the nearest LGBTQ+ community center is a 45 minute drive away. Not only are you stuck in an environment that's rapidly deteriorating your mental (and possibly physical) health, you need to ask your abusers to drive you to the place where you might find community, acceptance, and resources. That, or you need to get very adept at figuring out who is a safe adult to ask for that stuff, with the knowledge that every person you tell risks outing you to even more people who might wish you harm, or bringing backlash on you in the home.

Just. Fuck car-centric infrastructure, okay? Fuck it all to hell. I hate it here. Bully your representatives at every level of government to transition to walkable, human-scale cities with mixed use development as the standard. It's better for the environment, better for your health (both mental and physical), better for the community, and better for life. I genuinely believe this is one of the problems that, if we fix it, is going to domino effect into fixing a whole lot of other shit.

No... Not really, my parents just liked it, months after I was born my dad's cousin said that we had the same name... My dad completely forgot about them and didn't even made the connection, but yeah no, I'm not named after anyone, would like to be tho.

2.Last time you cried?

A couple of days ago, stress got the worst of me, I HATE exams, they make me feel so dumb... Also I was reading a story and I got emotional, sue me okay?

3.Do you have any kids?

Nooo, way to young for that, not really but I can barely take care of myself, not ready to take care of another human being. Plus I want to get married before even starting to think about kids, and I'm single... So no.

4.Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Maybe? Not as much as I would like to, I always think of sarcastic remarks, but I don't usually say them out loud.

5.What is the first thing you notice about people?

Probably the way they walk, or there posture, I use glasses and I can't see that far, so I started to analyze my friends walk and posture to recognize them from afar, so probably yeah, the posture is the first thing I notice, also it makes it easier to have a talk with people if I try and match their energy (usually how you stand says a lot about you, I know from experience)

6.Color of your eyes?

Brown brown brown, they are super dark, almost black, and even when I shine a light on them they just get a liiiittle bit brighter. I'm starting to like them now, I used to hate them because my dad has Grey eyes that change with the weather and my mom has green eyes with spots, they are so weird but so cool. I'm kinda still on the edge about my eyes but I think it's kinda cool how dark they are even with light shining on them.

7.Scary movie of happy ending?

Not my type of movie, sorry, I mainly watch animation, romantic comedies or action because that's all I can emotionally handle.

Ummm... Idk probably but I'm not sure what it would be, I'm good at languages, does that count.

Do you know why you were named that ? “Not really. Witt is my surname, given to me by my mum from uh... Y’know, 1790′s ‘n’ all that. Sinclair tho’, that’s the one she could choose. She heard about it, 'n’ thought it fit.”

Stop being a Mary Sue ! “HA! I think Egore falls more into that category if you ask me.”

What’s your eye color ? “It’s a sorta orangey color. Brown but lighter. Jessica always said it looked like maple syrup or tree sap.”

How about hair color ? “It’s like, a really dark brown. Or it was before I lost it all, heh.” 

Have you any family members ? “Just had my mum. No dad, he was sold before I was born. Key was my ‘dad’ when I managed to run away.”

Oh, how about pets ? “I’ve got a dog! He’s a sweet little thing. Pitbull, might be a mutt. He doesn’t have front legs, but it doesn’t mean much when you’re a ghost. His name is Fortune.”

I’m technically the handy man of the Mansion, just because I know how all the electric 'n’ modern stuff works better than any of the other ghosts here. I like doing it tho’, modern tech is amazing. I tinker with stuff on my free time anyway, so I might as well fix the lights ‘n’ AC while I’m at it. I travel a bit as well, being the spirit living in the Staircase. Socialize with the other spirits, all that jazz.”

Ever … killed anyone before ? “Yes... That was self defense tho’. I was only 13 or so.”

What kind of animal are you ? “Human. Er, technically. Ghost stuff gets weird. Some spirits say they’re ghosts now, rather than human still. I like saying I’m still human. I am a wraith tho’, if you wanna get specific.”

Name your worst weaknesses ? “Uh, I don’t know, maybe my esteem issues. People always tell me how strong I am or talented or whatever, but it never really gets to me y’know? I don’t always think I’m all that. I don’t always think I’m anything worth at all. Eh, but I’m fine right now, so don’t worry about that.”

Do you look up to anyone at all ? “I dunno. Maybe my mum. She had to handle a lot of bullshit to get me to where I was. I’m always thankful for her, for protecting me as much or as long as she could. There was literally nothing I could do. I could move the stairs around but... All the doors were locked sort of vibe. I couldn’t leave, I couldn’t talk to anyone, I was... completely alone. I was in an echo chamber with my own depression riddled brain. Anyway, when Leota let me out, I cried. Like legit, started sobbing right on her seance table. So yeah. That’s what I’m afraid of. What’s your favorite place ? “There’s this cliffside in Ireland. I showed it to Randall once. It’s beautiful there. It helps clear my mind.”

I got my name because years before my dad met my mum, he had a dream about having a child with my name, and he was dead set on naming me that to the point he made sure none of my cousins were called the same name! When was the last time you cried? Like 2 days ago, I stumbled across one of those sad grim reaper comics with the animal spirits and those make me sob every time istg Do you have kids? Nope Do you use sarcasm a lot? Yes, but I'm very obvious about it. “I thought you and Sawyer were on good terms, what happened?”

Maeve: “Well, yeah, sort of, but I haven’t talked to him in months, and if the stories are true...look, I’m evil too, I will admit that, but you have to draw the line somewhere. Some things are simply too evil.”

“It says right here that you’re an unflirty sim, but the people really wanted you to have a BC, and so here we are. How does that make you feel?”

Archer and I disagree on a lot of things, like vampirism, and I never really got close with my three younger siblings. Half-siblings. And as for my hobbies, there’s nothing too special. The Dahmer series was one of the most positive influences on my life.

There is just so many things I want to express here. This series changed my life. I don't normally pay attention to true crime dramas. It just never interested me. But Dahmer was just so relatable in this show. And before some ignoramus says some shit said a thousand times before about how Dahmer was a monster or a psychopath, you're the exact person who needs to read this or you can just get lobotomized like that brown kid did.

1: Dahmer explicitly states it's neither nature nor nurture specifically. Yes, he grew up a weird kid and had violent impulses. But so does Jeff Besos, and look at what a productive guy he is. Dahmer did have a lot more self loathing than Jeff Besos, this is where I can start relating as my parents tried to force upon me self loathing. All my life I had to hear shit about how I was schizo, autistic, this or that. Not once did I ever hear "maybe I was wrong, maybe I over-reacted, I wanna hear your perspective."

2: Dahmer actually had an ok upbringing. His mom was off her rocker and his dad was a stubborn mule of a boomer, but they still loved him as best they could and he knew that. Not everyone has that. And it was openly stated in the show and by records of Dahmer that broken households aren't the reason people turn out that way. If it were, you'd have to abuse moderators forever to turn them into the depraved lunatics they are.

3: We view Dahmer as this irredeemable force of evil because he killed some guys. Meanwhile you're getting banned right now by some paedophile loser and you're blaming yourself for it. There are a slew of people out there whose entire day revolves around harassing and assaulting you with bans, and you're worried about Jeffery Dahmer, whose dead btw. Talk about living in a bubble. Why aren't mods on death row? Wtf are my taxes going too? Not justice that's for sure.

4: Dahmer helped me come to terms with my heterosexuality. I've dated trans. FtM and MtF. I was in love with a MtF. I wanted to help her every step of the way and try to understand her pain. I was bombarded with accusations of being gay, degraded, and it was just incorrect. I never felt gay. I like feminine and petite things in a sexual way, I've never had a desire to BE the petite and feminine one. Apparently that's not a good enough answer. So these people wanna decide my sensuality for me, just like they wanna determine others gender. And unfortunately my ex gave into that. Her internalized transphobia caused her to detransition, and I tried to be supportive of that too, but she was not supportive of herself and she distanced herself from me. So she just kind of decreed we should both be miserable and alone because some stupid people who aren't happy with their own lives said so. This is the basis of all wrong-think. They LIKE being wrong, it's an orgasm and a religion to them to be wrong and it's all so disgusting.

5: As said. People will define you and take that shit to the grave. Dahmer wasn't known as the homosexual serial killer, he was known as the cannibal. The dude ate like one finger out of curiosity, now he's forever known as the cannibal. That's how people are.

6: Dahmer never wanted to be famous, he just wanted to be left alone, have his hobbies, have a boyfriend. I think what he needed more than anything was just understanding and patience but that's a very finite resource. He was not just devoid of emotions, he wasn't filled with bitterness and hate. He was just some guy with morbid curiosity and a bit of a sexual fetish. And the glorification of human stupidity is what escalated that. Dahmer didn't have victims, he had people who got exactly what was coming to them for their personal choice of being ignorant and homophobic. Everyone that died or was impacted, was at least semi self-responsible. What ought to happen is instead of just parroting the tired line of Dahmer was a bad guy, force kids to watch this amazing Netflix show in classrooms so they actually learn something. They learn about what the pressures of society do to people, all the people it hurts, they learn some empathy and putting themselves in others shoes. At the very least they learn that the only real villain in that show was the she-boon Karen who couldn't mind her own God damn business. Let people enjoy things Karen.
