nine people i want to get to know better
Thank you for the tag, @slutsons-blog! Starting a new post because I'm autistic and therefore mostly only care about the "Current Obsession" question, and want to ramble excessively as usual in that one.
Last song: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team: Pokemon Square because I'm currently playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon with my daughter. Otherwise I honestly couldn't tell you. Whatever was on in my car.
Fave color: Purple
Currently watching: Star Trek Discovery
Last movie: Knives Out
Sweet/spicy/savory: Sweet, tart, salty
Relationship: married x 27 years
Last thing I googled: the word "dependent", for spelling assistance. which is a good thing because I spelled it "dependant".
Current Obsession: it's been spn since 2016. Truly we are the Hotel California of media franchises. I did recently play Disco Elysium twice in a row in quick succession, and I follow the DE tag. I can't recommend the game highly enough.... but I can feel my Special Interest-level obsession with it fading already. Spn has never faded even a tiny bit and I wonder if it ever will.
@slutsons-blog I feel after reading that you're watching spn for the first time, that I did you a bit of a disservice with my Sam takes to you before in that I mostly talked about Sam's evolution as a character as the show goes on and very little about him from the first five seasons.
Gotta be honest and tell you that although I liked both brothers all along, I was a Dean girl until the end of s6/beginning of s7, when the balance of who gets whumped the most started shifting and my subconscious suddenly decided to switch allegiances. It's not that I liked Dean any less; my id just loves a sopping wet pathetic kitten of a man who has been sexually abused, and Sam got suddenly way more kitteny and pathetic after the Cage. So I don't actually have a ton of takes on "what to love about Sam in the early seasons". I do love early seasons Sam too--she is my beautiful baby princess--but my early seasons takes are a lot more inchoate.
I count myself lucky about my id's sudden defection though, because I think we have limited control of who our blorbos are, and having Dean as a blorbo is a tough row to hoe as the later seasons go along. You know how you noticed that in s6, Dean suddenly gets a lot more assholey without apparent reason? Unfortunately he never gets better again, and in fact keeps getting worse and worse as the years go by, until by the last seasons he is openly far more abusive to their joint child(-in-an-adult body) than John was to him and Sam. It's a realistic picture of what can happen when trauma keeps piling up on people, but it's also honestly pretty distressing, especially if he's your blorbo.
If one is in it for the ship, there's some good destiel content in the later seasons, but if you're in it for Dean, you're left either 1) dealing with the fact he's got extremely significant interpersonal problems that he never gets much of anywhere on solving and that negatively impact his chosen family in profound ways, or 2) pretending he's the same character he was in s1 and Sam is the same Sam from s1, only more boring, and Dean is just trying to put up with him because he was brainwashed by John (or ig 3- something in the middle between those two. But that seldom seems to happen in practice for whatever reason). These two versions of the show are poorly compatible, and that's how the Sam girls and the Dean girls end up in isolated silos. A few people manage to live in both, but not many.
Anyway, I feel like without the context of how Sam and Dean change in the mid to late seasons, the two fics I recc'd as Sam character studies are going to seem insanely Dean-critical, so if you haven't read them yet, you might want to wait until s10. In the meantime, the general recs are fun reads and hopefully do a good job of showcasing both characters earlier on.

selected pages from Shapeshifter Problems, a small exploration of old old concept art & thoughts on shapeshifter tropes (specifically the question of the 'true form') i posted to patreon earlier this year. there's a bunch more haha. here's some OLD art and bg process for writing said the black horse. I don't like my old art but looking back at it I'm really happy how I've developed since, I used to make everything too sharp, straight-sided, or skinny. I had to make a conscious effort to change that and now it's so much better.
image transcriptions under the cut (just the text sorry)
Image 1: "These are more of those older designs - the horns were a deliberate play into devil imagery on Puck's part while giving Félix this form (all to cause more torment of course) but again I couldn't vibe with it. Such clear statements of intent didn't work for me.
The scars remain canon but not quite so stark, more a difference in texture (again, moving away from visual details). His forehead scar is ALWAYS there."
Image 2: "Félix. These are really old - from 2019-2020. They're the first attempts at Félix's horse form. At the time I was leaning into some goat-like attributes. I liked the idea of something that looked like an emaciated amalgam of many familiar creatures but if you look closer, it actually doesn't look like any animal at all. The original body shape and proportions were inspired by moose. I didn't know how to draw convincing horse shapes which is why he had these hands and claws for so long. I still draw the little flower wheel pattern on his sides sometimes... a secret just for me. His belly fur, squared off ear shape, and beard are still defining characteristics"
Image 3: "More old art from 2020. Bottom left is my first ever painting on my iPad using Procreate. I still prefer SAI for creature drawings, or at least the original sketches underpinning a lot of my art. Below on the bottom was my attempt at a scarier form for the character but I ultimately decided that it ran contrary to the atmosphere I was trying to create. Top left is my first 'real' horse painting and it includes the tail shape which has not ever changed, and feathers, which I nixed because I wanted to learn how to draw the feet and legs properly and not rely on covering them up with flowing hair (my favourite thing to draw)"
Image 4: "Like the black horse designs, these humanoid designs for Félix (circa 2019 - OLD art!) started very complex and simplified over time. I decided to avoid visual complexity, but made the mistake of solidifying specific 'rules' for how the Púca servants' bodies work, and I deeply regret this. Because I wrote Said the Black Horse in 2021, I was still operating under the old mindset and that caused it to become somewhat established canon.
In his original iteration his tattoos represented magical contracts between him and various faeries, so they were supposed to be always visible as a reminder of that contract.
<- a really early furry version, I was playing with the eye on the neck as a design feature. Ultimately I feel that although it looks cool, the medium he exists in is proser. So I needed to move away from visually complex designs and towards designs which were interesting to different senses instead."
Image 5: "As time went on the design simplified. I enjoyed making fun textures using procreate brushes. These designs lack his forehead scar but do include his impalement scar. If you've seen my Hanged Man card you'll know how he got that one. But when I made the charts like this about how his body 'worked' in 2020, again I ran into the same issue I always do when writing about faeries... the more I explain it, the most 'logic' and 'science' goes into it, the less it feels like a faery story to me. Overexplaining is anathema to the faeries of Inver. so even though I like these design notes they just don't fit in this setting."

16 Days 1 Year Expanded
No preview this time, sorry.
I've made a small change (other than name changes I substracted 1 toddler year and added it to the child stage, also tweaked a bit the pets lifespan) to my 16 days 1 year Lifespan originally posted here and also edited some existing mods to make the experience even better. I've put them all in a SFS folder so you can pick whatever you want to download. Always remember to use Age Correct.
All details below the cut.
The main scope is the lifespan itself. The changes I've made are:
New Sim Lifespan V1
Baby - Age 0 (1 year: 16 days) Toddler - Ages 1 to 4 (4 years: 64 days) Child - Ages 5 to 11 (7 years: 112 days) Teen - Ages 12 to 17 (6 years: 96 days) Adult - Ages 18 to 64 (47 years: 752 days) Elder - Starting from age 65 (min is 5 years: 80 days; max is 40 years: 640 days - if you download my edit of Lamare's mod they can live up to 45 years) New Sim Lifespan V2
Same as above, except: Child - Ages 5 to 12 (8 years: 128 days) Teen - Ages 13 to 19 (I gave it two extra years to decide if the Sim is going to college so 7 years: 112 days) Adult - Ages 20 to 64 (45 years: 720 days)
New Pets Lifespan
Small Dog Puppy - Age 0 (1 year: 16 days) Adult - Ages 1 to 9.5 (8.5 years: 136 days) Elder - Starting from age 10.5 (min is 2.5 years: 40 days; max is 4.5 years: 72 days)
Large Dog Puppy - Age 0 (1 year: 16 days) Adult - Ages 1 to 5.5 (4.5 years: 72 days) Elder - Starting from age 6.5 (min is 3.5 years: 56 days; max is 5.5 years: 88 days)
Cat Kitten - Age 0 (1 year: 16 days) Adult - Ages 1 to 9 (8 years: 128 days) Elder - Starting from age 10 (min is 3 years: 48 days; max is 10 years: 160 days)
The mods I edited to fit my lifespan are:
Piqiwi's Mood Swing + Midlife Crisis and Anniversary
Lamare's Random Elder Death/Longevity/Sickness (DL post here)
Nopke's College Dependant Adult Stage Days
Pick N Mix's Ask Age Social
I also edited Tunaisafish's Enthusiasm Overhaul's core package to edit hobby gain. Note that I made it faster than skill gain! I just think it makes sense.
In addition to that, I've decided to also add a list of recommended mods - they're not edited so I didn't include them in the folder - that would go great with this lifespan, too.
EvelynnMama's Shorter Seasons (duh!)
Inge's University Break (if you're interested in my 6 day semesters, otherwise skip this mod and download the original length from my MTS post)
Phaenoh's School Break (now your Sims get multiple breaks in their child/teen stage instead of just one)
Lamare's Lower Job Promotion Chance (10% version, although I haven't played as much to determine it's balanced enough for this gameplay)
Nopke's Fitness Decay and Fitness Threshold Changes (I was going to edit this one but I couldn't do the math properly and my mind blew up. I use the slow version)
Simler's Slower Fitness Gain (same as above, and at least in my version of SimPE every string was blank so I didn't know what I was editing)
Amura's Expensive House and/or Apartment Bills (I haven't played long enough to see which is the best fit but I use the 500% for house bills and none for apartment bills)
Smonaff's Period Hack (not as necessary but the fact that periods are every 4 days and every season is considered a month by Piqiwi's Anniversary mod, I think they'd go well)
Not as recommended (I know some would go crazy with a longer lifespan alone) but still worth noting a couple mods for slower days:
Chris Hatch's Time Controller
Lazy Duchess' Motive Decay Mod
Also see this guide to configure them properly.
Phew, that was a lot of links. (_ _) ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Here's what you came for:
DOWNLOAD
SFS only. No MediaFire link this time, sorry for that too.

how do you write so well? any tips for a budding writer? I love your writing <3
/o\ First off, I am so so sorry this answer took me so long! Thank you for this ask, and I hope you still see this answer someday. AND :D second off, that is so very kind of you to say, anon <333—thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear my writing works for you so well, and especially well enough that you feel like I might have good advice to give. /o\ :D Which, uh, I can't guarantee that I do, BUT I have spent a truly ridiculous amount of time thinking about writing and trying to figure out how to help myself write less badly :'D so I'll definitely give it a shot! APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE IF NONE OF THIS IS HELPFUL AFTER ALL /o\
I've gone on at some length before about my approach to writing, mostly in this answer to an ask, this answer to an ask, and this post. But I am a near-infinite fountain of words, so rest assured I'm thrilled to talk about it some more :'D and, uh, I guess I should offer you a tl;dr version: my basic tips for people who want to try to get better at writing boil down to a) try a lot of things, b) pay attention to what you're doing, and c) once you've tried a lot of things and paid enough attention to figure out which of those things worked the best for you, do that more! Don't get too hung up on following any particular advice or any specific method absolutely 100% of the time; be patient with yourself, test things out, write different stuff in different ways and see what comes out a way you like and what doesn't, and the better you get at understanding how your brain works and what your process is, the easier it's going to get for you to write things you enjoy writing, and to find yourself liking what you've written when it's done. :D
And because it's me, there is also a Long Version under the cut, sorry in advance. :'D
A) TRY A LOT OF THINGS
In my experience, it's harder to tell what's going to work for you personally or help you get your writing closer to where you want it to be than you might think it is! So my first piece of advice is: consider every piece of writing advice worth trying. This does not mean every piece of writing advice is going to actually work for you! This doesn't even mean every piece of writing advice you're going to run into is any good.
But sometimes writing advice sounds shitty, stupid, or weird, and will turn out to work great for you; and sometimes writing advice sounds really good and sensible, and is not the right fit for you at all and then you decide to give up on trying other writing advice because you feel like it probably won't work either. So, if you're going to avoid missing out on the first scenario, you need to have an open mind and give stuff a shot! And if you're going to avoid taking the wrong things away from the second scenario, you need to accept that sometimes a solution that looks right isn't going to be right ... and then try something else. :D
I used to consider myself unable to outline. So I ignored every piece of writing advice I ran into about outlining, and instead, I wrote the scenes that came to me, in the order in which they came to me, and then tried to figure out what had to go in between them afterward. And don't get me wrong—that might be the right method for you! But it wasn't the right method for me ... and I didn't KNOW that it wasn't for a really long time, because a) writing the scenes that came easily felt really good while it was working, and b) I never tried to write stuff any other way.
When I did finally decide to try outlining, I came at it kind of sideways; I was reinventing the wheel, basically, because I Knew I Didn't Like Outlining, and therefore what I was doing couldn't be outlining. I was just ... sketching out a few things in advance, making notes, so I would have less trouble making stuff fit together later. Once I worked my way through denial and bargaining and accepted that I was in fact outlining, I went and looked for advice about how to do it!
... And a lot of that advice was genuinely wrong for me. I tried following outlining guides and plot beat charts and all kinds of stuff, and it was hard and it wasn't any fun and once I was done I didn't want to actually write the stories I'd outlined, which is kind of the opposite of what's supposed to happen. (Again—my experience! Outlining in a clear, pre-planned way like this might be EXACTLY what you need to do! Give it a try and find out!)
So I gave up on that, and some more trial-and-error on my own was what finally got me somewhere that worked. Turns out my ideal outlining method is to basically just talk to myself in writing, in gigantic paragraphs of brainstorming, and let my brain feel out the shape of the whole fic, not just the scenes that immediately occur to me, and then I can break those paragraphs up into scenes, re-outline them in greater detail wherever detail is lacking in the original, and get all the plotting and pacing sorted out. Then I get to write.
These days, everything I post has been planned out in advance and then written from start to finish in order. If you'd come up to me fifteen years ago and told me that would be the way I needed to work to actually finish things consistently, I would never have believed it! I had to try different stuff, see what felt better and what felt worse, what worked and what didn't, before I could find the method that served me and my writing the best.
I also mean "try a lot of things" in the sense that you should try a lot of things with your writing in and of itself, and with other people's. Try reading a genre you don't normally read! Try reading an author you don't like! Try mimicking that genre; try figuring out what things you don't like about that author's style and then duplicating them. Try different kinds of writing exercises—try following prompts; try not following prompts; try writing a paragraph with no adverbs, or a paragraph with no adjectives, not because you need to try to write with no adverbs or adjectives forever but just to see how it feels, to see how you can adjust the other words you use to compensate for the lack, to see what effect it has on the way that paragraph comes across when you read it. Try writing gen, if you always write shipfic; try writing shipfic, if you always write gen. You don't need to post it, you don't even need to finish it! Just try it, and see what it's like—see whether you can make it feel emotionally effective and interesting to you, or whether it bores you no matter what you do with it. :D Any answer, any result, is okay! Just try stuff. You can't get better at anything if you keep doing it exactly the same way you've always done it—and I mean that in the sense that in my experience, if you try something new and then go straight back to the way you've always done it, even THAT MUCH will often still make you better at the thing! Something about the variation, about deliberately changing something and then changing it back, often makes me more aware and more deliberate and more intentional about what I'm doing.
Which I guess is a decent enough segue into the next bit. :'D
B) PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU'RE DOING
This isn't really a separate step from above—if you try stuff but don't pay attention to how it turns out, you're shooting yourself in the foot. :'D But I wanted to emphasize this specifically because it also applies when you aren't trying anything new.
For starters, in my experience, it is immensely valuable to ask yourself what you're doing. What are you trying to do? What story are you trying to tell? What is the point of it? What are you trying to say, and how do you want people to feel about it, how do you want what you're saying to come across? Again, the answers to these questions don't have to be deep, or serious, or anything like that. With at least three-quarters of my fics, the answer to at least three of these questions is "I AM DO TROPE WITH MY [CAPE/JET/SPACE] BLORBOS"! But I know that that's what the answer is. I know which trope I want to focus the story on, I know which specific characters I'm going to be putting through the trope, and from there, I can dig into the details: how are these characters going to deal with this trope? What is the way they deal with this trope going to say about them? Do I want what it says about them to seem angsty, or sweet, or creepy?
And for me, once I know what I'm doing, I can start to think about how I'm doing it—I can start to pay attention to the details of it. Is this scene adding something to the story, making the point of it clearer or more present or more meaningful? Is it helping the story make progress toward that point? Or is it distracting from it? It doesn't happen to me that often, but I absolutely have had to cut scenes I liked from an outline, because once I was reading through the outline and paying attention, it was obvious that they were taking away from the point of the fic, distracting from it, instead of working with it or toward it.
Even within a scene: is this conversation adding something, or showing the reader something about the characters' mindsets, or explaining something the reader needs to know in a way that makes sense? Is this blocking adding something to the way this character's demeanor is coming across—communicating that they're uncertain or attentive or something is horribly wrong with them? Or is it just in there because I'm feeling self-conscious about writing so much unbroken narration? :') Sometimes I've cut scenes because I've realized that one character is going to need to tell another character that the scene's contents happened, somewhere later on—in my experience, that means I need to restructure something, I need to let the conversation happen and not double it up with actually writing out the scene, or there needs to be an angle that makes it matter that both the scene and the conversation relaying it are in the fic (the character is going to lie to the other character about what happened? the character is going to leave out some crucial details? something is going to suddenly make sense during the conversation, because there's additional information that wasn't present during the original scene? SOMETHING).
And again, sometimes the answers to these questions might just be "this is here because I think it's a fun moment, LEAVE ME ALONE". Which is fine! Fun moments can make stories better! Fun moments can be part of the point, because they make the angst surrounding them angstier! They can give characters a moment to breathe and just relate to each other for a second, in the middle of a lot of serious action! Or they can just be there because you want them to be. But in my experience, it's one of those "know the rules before you break them" things—it's almost always better for you to make the conscious decision to have a fun moment that adds nothing specific, fully aware that that's what you're doing, than to have done it by accident just because you weren't really paying attention to what you were writing and why. (You may find this is not true for you! You may like your stories better when you just write what you want and don't think about it too hard! That's okay also! This advice can be some of the stuff you try that you end up discarding.)
This, like the previous advice, also applies in terms of paying attention to your writing in and of itself, and paying attention to other people's writing, too. What are your habits? What are your tics? What do writers you like do and not do, on a paragraph-by-paragraph level, or even sentence-by-sentence? What do you do a lot, and what do you not do a lot? You don't necessarily need to change the way you write, if you don't want to—but if you're aware of some of these things, you might be able to use them.
I use a lot of dialogue tags, and a lot of adverbs, and I describe body language in probably a little too much detail, sometimes. :'D I usually don't try to change these things, because most of the time I'm pretty happy with the effect they have—but being aware of them means I can change that effect if I want to! I can kill SO many adverbs, when I'm writing a character who's had their emotions stripped away, who's drugged numb or under a mind-control spell, who's an android who's just been involuntarily reset, and it will feel SO different from the way I usually write that same character. I can drop descriptions of body language to try to make a character feel more opaque than they usually might! I can buckle down and pay attention to making sure that my dialogue sounds enough like each character in the conversation that even I don't think I need dialogue tags—or I can strip them down, simplify them, in an ensemble conversation where the reader does need some clue who's talking but the focus should stay on the dialogue and not on every single character's emotional state (versus an emotional conversation between only two characters, where I would argue it's genuinely worthwhile for a lot of reactions to be described).
You don't need to do any of that stuff yourself, and you don't need to have the same habits I have! You can write a story where the only point is that two characters you like a lot are going to hang out and have a good afternoon—but in my experience, it'll be a better story if you know that that's the point, and you pay attention to what you're doing to reach that point.
C) KEEP DOING WHAT WORKS
Obviously I've said variations on this at lots of points along the way here, but I'm going to say it again anyway :'D—once you have some idea what seems to work for you, do that! Advice is great to give you a starting point or some ideas of techniques or approaches you can try, but it's not binding; you can adapt it, you can use some of it and chuck the rest, you can ignore it completely. You might find that certain approaches work for you most of the time, but not always, and that's fine. You don't need to stick to anything in particular, and you can always try more stuff if the stuff you previously tried stops working or isn't working as well as you want it to.
Everything I've said in here is based on what I've figured out as I went along! If some of it contradicts something you're doing that already works for you, then ignore me and keep doing that thing—if something else in here strikes a chord, use it and forget the rest.
As a bonus, in my experience, the more you keep doing something that works for you on a baseline level, the better it will work for you! You'll get better at doing it, and experience will let you assess how it's going or figure out what you might need to try instead faster and faster. As noted, it took me some false starts to figure out how to outline in a way that worked well for me; but even once I basically had that down, I would still sometimes outline, start writing, and then get stuck, because somewhere between the outline and the ~vibes I needed to feel engaged with a scene when I was writing it, something had gone dark. It was SO ANNOYING, after all the work I had done to try to figure out how to make my writing work better ... but it happens less and less often these days, because I've gotten better at assessing those ~vibes for myself during outlining instead of just when I'm ready to actually start writing! \o/
So, yeah. If something works for you, keep doing it—I would say not to the exclusion of still trying stuff now and then (because there might still be something out there that'll turn out to work better, and the trying in and of itself is good experience), but a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush: advice is great, but something that's actually working for you right now is actually working for you right now, and you should go ahead and run with that and not get too fussed about the advice.
I hope some fraction of that was at least a little bit useful to you, anon! :'D And if you wanted something less general and more actionable about some specific aspect of writing (pacing, characterization, dialogue, plotting, anything!), feel free to send me a followup ask and I can blather at you in an at least somewhat more focused fashion. :D ♥

Hope you don't mind elaborating on the other turns' YJH's relationship with SP and 3rd/1864th turn YJH? I genuinely enjoyed the other posts and wouldn't mind seeing more. ❤️
anon I will NEVER mind elaborating & I thank you for enabling my madness. I love talking about them sm <3
I guess I'll start off with 41&SP since I've been thinking about them and you didn't specify which one I should talk about. and. there's literally 1864 (?) different Yoo Joonghyuks. that's 1,736,316 combinations of pairings I could talk about. I'm never running out of content as long as I'm alive (well I'm not crazy enough to have headcanons for all of their relationships. yet. link to my YJH relationship chart).
this post has PARTS thats how long it got. under read more it goes
41's personality
oh 41, you miserable, miserable man. during the 41st regression, Yoo Joonghyuk had decided to harden his heart into cold, brutal practicality. he would use any means necessary to achieve his purpose, even if he had to sacrifice his companions. (he never called them that during this round, so it would hurt less when they died (didn't work)). he tried very hard to make himself an emotionless machine (see: him carelessly saying he doesn't give a shit, beyond losing tools he could use, when lee hyungsung and lee jihye die).
We get most of this characterization from the Disaster of Floods, 41st Shin Yoosung, who had a deeply messed up relationship with him that's its own post. she was the only one by his side till the very end and had to witness his cruelty, which traumatized her. and then he sent her to the past, abondened her in the labyrinth of the worlds- his ultimate unforgivable act. (quote 'The things done by the 41st round Yoo Joonghyuk were worse than murder.')
but as much as he tried, he couldn't become that heartless monster he showed to the world. (see: him promising Shin Yoosung they would go on a trip together after the scenarios were over. even at his worst, he couldn't help but try to comfort her.)
SP's thoughts on 41
41 and SP spend multiple scenes hanging out one-on-one so we have a lot to go off regarding their relationship. 41 is Secretive Plotter's second-in-command, the one who is closest to him and who spends the most time with him. For SP, this is because he finds 41 the most quote 'similar to himself' (in their ends justify the means, no matter how cruel approach) and thinks he's most likely to understand SP's actions. also since 41 is similar to him, and SP is the peak strongest smartest YJH, 41's opinion is automatically also worth more, right? girlmath (sp is arrogant).
SP relies on 41 as a trusted advisor and subordinate, let's him in on plans and asks for his opinion/advice sometimes, even if he doesn't necessarily take it. gives him commands and resposibilities and expects them to be done competently. even let's him see his vulnerable moments (do we remember the scene where SP woke up from a nightmare and 41 was there. that was to me what lemon candy moment is to doksoo fans).
SP cares for and is fond of and feels mildly possesive/protective over 41, but only the same amount as all the other regressions, nothing special about 41 in particular. SP think's every version of YJH belongs to him (see: n'gai forest's whole existence. see: 'return to me, [999]' see: 'return to me, the place you're supposed to be is here!' talking to 1863. see: 'That guy from the 1863rd should've been a part of me originally. Just like all of you.'). but he takes it for granted when that is true, because we only pine after what we don't have. like 3rd. (and 999.)
41's thoughts on SP
it's clear to me that 41 idolizes SP very much (in a 'he's me if I succeeded' way). when SP calls them similar and 41 says 'what an honor that is' he's not being sarcastic. he sees it as an honor that SP trusts him and thinks it would be better if he only trusted him, and not unreliable people like 999 (quote: [41] spoke with a voice containing a faint trace of rage. "It was a mistake to send him. Send me, instead. [999] is too soft.") and kdj (quote: "It's all because of that fool, Kim Dokja.") (this is partly jealousy. 'SP doesnt need anyone else when he has me' type of vibe.)
he takes his role as advisor very seriously. sees it as his job to point out the things SP doesn't catch or notice, question him, etc. sometimes feels frustrated when SP refuses to see reason (especially regarding 999)

still he is too loyal to ever disobey and the final decisions are always Plotter's. 41 is only subservient to him. ('lowered his head slowly' in acquiescence and submission. 'if thats what you want' im insane)

41 is very protective of SP. sees himself as a loyal knight, the only one capable of protecting his king. (probably literally calls SP 'my king' in his head...) very quick to jump to SP's defence at any point, absolutely hates people who disrespect him or betray him or dare to speak to him... sometimes goes too far and SP has to reprimand him/ make him back off.

this is after kdj provokes SP. see how 41 immedietly jumps to defend him? and how SP calls 41 off with a single word, literally like a guard dog? SP dismisses his concerns regarding 999 in a similar way.
41 also, and I cannot stress this enough, constantly looks at SP with yearning goey eyes. half the scenes hes in he's just...staring. with love. at SP.

41 too, is cringe and in love with someone who doesn't pay him any special attention. this is a yoo joonghyuk's natural state

So seen a few 'What if the ISAT cast were in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon' posts...
And I'm gonna put my hat in the ring because darn it I've been thinking about this for over a week now and I want to infect others with these ideas.
Siffren: Hisuian Zorua - White, adorable AND comes free with a neck ruff to hide their face in, but well, doesn't it fit Siff extremely well lore wise too? Just a cute little guy that's a remnant of a home and life forcefully taken away, Normal enough to be among the living with no issues but also Ghost because there's something missing... Something lost that shapes them, tears at them but they just can't let go... Also they eat a lot, have a good amount of mischief in their nature and use 'illusions' for self protection so like. It's a perfect fit really~ XD (Also the 'red' aspects during the Vs Friends fight makes me wonder if in the PMD version of ISaT Siffrin is evolving so wrong somehow that the universe is breaking and a huge chunk of the fight is the party basically mashing B button in utter terror~ XDDD)
Isabeau: Ditto - No joke, Isabeau had me really stumped for ages because what kind of pokemon species goes from nerd to buff to eventually somewhere in the middle during their evolution line but then I realized 'Wow I'm an idiot. There's a pokemon all about Change that can be any form right over there!' and thus Isa-Ditto was born in my mind. I like to think he's almost always in the form of a Marchoke, Zangoose or Scrafty or something that to the others is big and buff but Isa's warm smiling ditto face always stops him from ever looking intimidating, and back in the 'nerd' days Isa probably stuck to being a Gothita/Gothorita, if only because they're about the only mon I can think of with braids and they do seem like a good form if one wants others to stay away so they can focus on studying and stuff...
Mirabelle: Minccino/Cinccino - Ok, most of my reasoning for this one is because Mira visually reminds me of the Minccino line (those eyes <3 And her ribbon! <3) but like, she IS pretty studious and helpful and probably cleans up after everyone and that's Cinccino as anything to me, plus the sheer way this mon blitzs with Skill Link... IDK I just really feel the line suits her.
Odile: Kanto Persian or Purugly - After realizing Siff, Isa and Mira were all Normal types I decided to make it a thing and since under this logic Odele couldn't be a Kadabra (as was my first instinct), the idea of her being this big old book reading cat affectionately rolling her eyes at everyone else's nonsense just had so much appeal <3 Leaning Persian if only because its design matches her visuals better but the thought of her as a Purugly feeling comfortable enough around the others she doesn't puff up her fur via her tail around them is pretty cute/very 'seems standoff-ish but is secretly affectionate Odile' so I'm still struggling to choose between them.
Bonnie: Zigzagoon - Bonnie was probably the hardest to pick out because there were so many possibilites (Aipom for the mischief? Munchlax for the cooking/food vibes? Oh but what about Meowth for their weird hug face???). But then I realized pokemon of all sorts could do all of those things and what really stands out about Bonbon is their 'NPC somehow on the big adventure and doing their best' vibes so a spunky little Zigzagoon using their 'Gluttony' expertise in food to 'Pick Up' the party's sprits felt really fitting (also they way they dart in and out of combat with their Quick Feet just. It works you know? XD). Not sure which Zigzagoon form would be most fitting for them but currently leaning Galarian if only because Siff being weak to Bonnie fits hilariously well, it matches with Bonnie's 'desire to be edgy despite still being adorable' vibes and the mental thought of them far off in the future, all grown up and protecting their family as a big bad Obstagoon gives me a ton of warm fuzzies so yeah~ <3
Euphrasie: Lopunny - Look, it's just the hair, the affectionate personality and her being really really tall compared to the others alright? Only the party is actually Normal locked to me! X'D (I could see her as an Altaria or a Mega Ampharos as well but Lopunny just feels more 'right' somehow.)
The King: Hisuian Zoroark - . . . In my defence, he's an incarnation of malice born from the loss of his home/life with long long hair who acts as Siffrin's foil, pushes them towards 'discovering the red' and yoyos between tragically lamenting and being a ruthlessly, cruel monster who would hurt a child. There was no other option.
Loop: currently torn but leaning Cosmog/Cosmeom or Mimikyu for most of the game and Necrozma/Ultra Necrozma for the Act 6 secret fight - Finally the one non Normal type! And the fact it's the eldritch feeling Loop is kinda perfect? Helps them stand out more at least, and well you really can't beat Ultra Necrozma for 'star shaped thing that is both terrifying, potentially world ending and in immense amounts of pain'. (...Also its weak to Siff's H!Zorua and Bonnie's potential Dark type so it fits type wise also XD).
Change God: Mew - Do I really gotta explain why? (Legendary, has Transform, cute and sweet but also a little bastard, etc- It ticks all the boxes XD
So... Yeah. Those are my In Stars and Time 'what Pokemon would the main cast be' thoughts.
#isat#in stars and time#Pokemon mystery dungeon#PMD#isat pokesonas#silly#but also I've put way too much thought into this#oops all normal types#isat act 6 spoilers#isat siffrin#isat mirabelle#isat isabeau#isat odile#isat bonnie#isat euphrasie#isat king#isat loop#...you think pokemon types actually still exist in a ISaT/PMD fusion or if all battles are still rock paper scissors? I'm leaning the later#isat spoilers#just realized that if everyone from The Island is a Ghost type (now)#then everyone else being normal type kinda explains why no one can hear the language/remember the place#because its a ghost language and Normal is immune to Ghost (laughs and cries in 'yay pun but also ahh that's a horrible joke to make')#isat pmd au#not related to neoncityrain's isat pmd au (had most of this in my head prior to their Siff Shinx art post) but check that out too plz <3#isat all normal pmd au

Hey. So. See this?

I'm gonna now info dump about this AU. Also, a lil note, the reason why it probably sounds like a YouTube comment is because it's based on this all stars cover I found (I also posted this in the comments section.)

Anyways. Time to dip.
After the events of Mario Madness, Ultra M was just chilling with Omega. After a while a strange black void esque portal opens up. The two look up at it in confusion, before Ultra M gets bonked in the head by a.... Computer? And a blue flashdrive. Confused, they put the computer on a desk and inserted the flashdrive into the puter before turning it on. It was almost empty. There were hardly any applications on the computer. The only thing on it being... Friday Night Funkin. Except the icon for the game was red. Upon realizing what it is. Ultra M attempted to turn off the computer. But it refused. He tried to take the flashdrive out, and that failed too. He tried many other ways to get rid of the computer, and all of them failed. He then decides he should just walk away and- Wait, where's the door? In its place there was a message in bloody handwriting.
"IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE. PLAY THE GAME."
Eventually he gives up and realizes he's forced to play a possibly cursed version of FNF. He opens the game and at first, it seems... Normal. But he still had his suspicions. He plays the tutorial song and after beating it, the game seemed to have stopped responding. Before he could react, an arm comes out and pulls him into the computer alongside Omega. Once they were pulled in they fell on the stage that was from the tutorial and Week 1. Except, no one was around. It was completely empty. Ultra M looks around before he notices someone in the distance. Curious, he goes up to the figure. It looked like... Boyfriend. He taps the figure's shoulder and...
"Boo yeah... HAHAHA!"
It was a demonic version of Boyfriend?! Ultra M was surprised, though not shocked, the demonic Boyfriend (who'll be named BF.LMX) starts speaking. "HAHA! I genuinely didn't think I could get myself into your world! But here we are!" He then looks over at Omega and chuckled. "And it seems I brought ya lil furry slave along beh?" To which Omega grumbled at. BF.LMX was about to speak up again but suddenly M attempted to attack him with his abilities. Only to realize... He couldn't. "What's wrong big guy? Can't use ya powers?" BF.LMX taunted before speaking up again. "I don't think ya noticed this, but you're actually prrrreeeettttyyyy weak outside of ya world. You're an absolute beast in your realm, but here? Ya nothing more than a mutated Mario round these parts."
Ultra M grumbled before BF.LMX spoke up again. "I suppose I should just cut to the chase. Basically, ya killed the good me. The normal me. And I can't let that slide ya know? That good side of me allowed me to be contained here. But since he's dead, I can do whatever I want. And what better way to start then to terrorize the dude who killed the normal me?" He stated. "Lemme tell ya something real quick. I'm an omnipotent bastard. Just like you. I can do anything I want except leave the flashdrive I'm stuck in. And I have a lil deal for ya." He then pulls out his microphone. "Ya know how you usually have to beat three songs in each week? If ya can beat my ass in 3 songs, then I could let ya out of that lil cartridge hell Mr Dearest trapped ya in." Those words made M lit up in excitement, and LMX could tell. So he speaks again. "Ya seem excited bout that deal beh? So..." He throws a microphone at him. "Whaddya say?" M picks up the Microphone before agreeing. "Boo Yeah Haha! This'll be fun!" And so the first song starts. Funking Familiar (Name for Its-A-Me LMX Mix (It sucks I know)). Halfway through the song, LMX lets out a deafening laugh, and after that, the stage suddenly begins to levitate off the ground. Once the song ends. LMX let's out a laugh, before him, M and Omega are suddenly rap battling on a floating stage which then falls apart. Leaving them on their own platforms, the ground beneath them having been replaced with a toxic sludge. And the second song Rapping Rampage (Starman Slaughter LMX Mix) begins. A little while later, a messed up version of those weird background dancers from Week 4 shows up, playing a guitar. Shortly after that, LMX falls off the platform due to a knife and soon his versions of Nene and Darnell appear. Once their parts are done, they get hit in the head by microphones and they fall into the toxic sludge. And soon, LMX reappears, due to the sludge, not only did he lose a leg, but a bit of his face melted as well. Once the Song ends, LMX throws his Microphone at Ultra M and Omega's platform, causing them to fall. But just before they drown in the sludge, Omega grabs M by the arm, and using his raccoon powers carry him up into the air. LMX, enraged, goes after them, before he could get to them though, Omega uses a warp whistle he brought along to help him and M escape. As LMX watches them escape. He muttered under his breath. "Ya know what...? I might as well make ya both suffer the same way ya made THEM suffer... BOO YEAH HAHAHA!"

hinakage week 2024
compilation post of all my entries for the week:
day 1: alternate sport au
day 2: proposals
day 3: sleepovers
day 4: free day
day 5: long distance relationship
day 6: domesticity / married life
day 7: anniversary
now for some of my thoughts / behind the scenes stuff for each one bc i just felt like talking about it:
day 1 - i first thought of this au back in 2022 though i didn't really get to draw the actual rivalry part since that required more pages than i had the time for lol. but just know that's it's there
day 2 - i linked it in the post but that was also based on an old tweet of mine lol. possessive hinata is just so real and dear to me
day 3 - them as babies are cute and i love childhood friends au
day 4 - i actually started working on this a couple months ago but then just got distracted with other stuff and decided i'd save it for hnkg day. this was before the event got announced but it's nice that it fit right in since this was a free day
day 5 - i wanted to do that cookie meme when i first saw it but i'm bad at stuff like that since i'm a pretty slow artist lol. still i bookmarked it bc i thought it was a cute idea and then i saw i could use for the long distance prompt
day 6 - i actually finished this right before the week started and then when i saw it i was like "wait i don't have anything planned" and then i noticed married life was on the list and i was like this could work lol
day 7 - this was probably the most unplanned one out of all of them lol. i couldn't even decide which prompt i was gonna go with until like the night before 💀 in the end i decided to steal nice's quote when she was proposing to heitor and rewrote it to fit hinata's pov. actually not super happy with how it flows. the kageyama version i thought of "you are, and will always be my someone better" sounds nicer to me but i really wanted hinata to be the one to say it so
anyway, glad to have been able to do all 7 days, even if i ended up rushing things as usual lol

I'm cooking I will be posting the traditional version of the designs but these are just to ramble about the design choices and why I decided to swap them rather than information about the characters, I will not do this for all of them, only a few, I will post the finished, fully detailed designs on the next week in schedule form
Sorry they look kind of blurry, it's not the camera, it's the grafito getting fucked up when I but my shoulder over it

I believe it's rather obvious that Adam's suit was designed after Beetlejuice, I was going to take more reference on Dewey from School of rock but this one seems more recognizable and I think it fits better since, well, they're dead I added the little spikes on the shoulders because of Adam's outfit for the last episode Also piercings, because I can't believe he doesn't have them in canon I refuse to believe he wouldn't pierce his ears You can't see it yet but his eyes aren't going to be yellow, instead they're going to be blue like Emily's
The why I decided to swap him with Charlie is pretty obvious, they're opposites Also I just like to put Adam through hell both in the swap au, in the Benefactor au and in the Adamsapple fic I'm writing
Lute is also obviously designed after Vaggie's outfit, except that the colors of it are more to resemble Adam and her gothic style She didn't lose her eye, (V)Agatha ended up cutting her arm (details will not be explained yet but it was not intentional), so they gave her a replacement, but because hell isn't as refined as Heaven, the closest thing Adam could get was the sin of Lust to give her one of the best they had (Note. I have yet to decide who will be Ozzie), she normally wears her glove over it but only in front of anyone that isn't Adam, after episode 3 she stops using it in the hotel, being more comfortable around the cast Couldn't see her wearing a bow, so I put it in her back and around the hips Also long hair because she wanted to be separated of her excorcist status (as they all probably have a short hair), put it in a ponytail because she's always ready to throw hands for Adam
Why she is swaped with Vaggie is obvious Also I changed my mind they are dating in the swap au (Adam needs her gothic gf but they have to sort some issues before kissing)
Oh oh, you are gonna love this one

Why are they swapped? Because it's funny, because I have seen people swapping EVERYONE with Alastor except for Pentious which is pretty surprising honestly
I took most of Pentious eyes in the design since they originally serve the purpose of showing how much he distrust others, they disappear once he gets to heaven because now he has learned how to trust and care about those around him Even tho swap Pentious would obviously still be pretty distrusting, he would not be as paranoic, the eyes would come out on his full demon form I gave him a monocle just because I liked how it looked, he was supposed to have glasses like Alastor but he looked like a grandpa and I want him to have a more "Big brother" kind of vibe towards Adam rather tan fatherly (Since Emily is more like his big sister, not a mother) His hat takes the place of Alastor's cane, he's protective over it, it's the source of his power after all, it does not show Pentious true emotions Speaking off, since canon Alastor is always smiling, swap Pentious always has his hood up, never letting it down, he shows other emotions with his face but his hood represents him always having his guard up
Alastor is more pathetic Listen I am not sorry for taking away his bob cut, I don't know how you all can simp for that man with that hair, I gave him something similar but it goes all the way back, no bob cut Glasses, because we all love to give this man glasses His cane takes the place of Pent's hat, it shows his genuine emotions Not getting into details, but Alastor doesn't smiles as much as canon just like Pentious not always has his hood up, he does drop the smile and the more comfortable he gets with the cast the more he drops it for a normal, neutral expression Yes, he goes to heaven but his angelical form will be revealed later
Pentious is still an inventor, Alastor is still a Radio host

This one is simple, I tried to turn Keekee into a dog, not only because of Adam but it was mainly because Alastor canonically HATES dogs, so the idea of this fucking dog getting attached to Alastor and him petting her lovingly on episode 7 was an opportunity I could not pass up
Yeeyee is still female I just didn't trust myself to draw the eyelashes because she is a lot smaller than you think, and I didn't want to fuck her up and end up erasing most of her
I was also just going to put a giant mouth instead of an eye but it looked disturbing, so no
Yeeyee because the k on Keekee obviously comes from Key so I took the last letter to change it but still have it make sense
The key is also still in progress, I don't know how to draw keys

More images under the cut just a bit of rambling before that (relevant ti tags)
This was a vent lmao but I honestly can't remember what for. Okay looked back at some texts I convinced myself that I was genuinely about to fail multiple classes which I did not!! Passed them all even though one was barely a pass I stilled passed it and got sick art out of the anxiety it caused me (never taking a fucking math again). It's not perfect (the legs 💀) but I still really like how this came out.
Tbh this is a more hopeful version of a vent I drew back in October. Which I will not be showing because 1. It's personal and 2. I don't want to have to put trigger warnings lol 3. I am okay now. I think the fact that this is a vent and still hopeful reflects how much mentally better I am than the start of the school year.
I bought ohuhu alcohol markers from my campus store and have been having so much fun with them. They had 2 different 48 packs and originally I only bought one but I liked them so much I bought the other pack during a sale. Lmao the 1st pack when I bought it the building caught on fire and I only couldn't buy it but they put it out quickly and I was able to buy it. Maybe that was a sign?
Honestly I got attached to the Pikachu bits I added to Dipshit's design for my birthday art and decided to keep it permanently despite intending to have it as a one off thing.
Next images are some of my first tests with the markers. I really really love how they blend. I only like abusing the shit out of my white paint pen on top of them.

This was supposed to post yesterday???? Idk what happened.

alright, it's done. i finished it.
this is the third and final part of things that happened in my first bg3 playthrough ever that I found so funny that I put them in my notes (spoilers below)
let me start this by saying I have only cried twice in the 155 hours it took me to complete this shit. however, I have almost-screamed at the characters more times than I'd like to admit. but first here's stuff that happened since the last one of these posts I made:
after killing Orin I went around Baldur's Gate for a while and did odd sidequests, including
clearing out a haunted house and sidelining to kill a stinky man in a wardrobe (and drag his body to a guy two streets over)
entirely ignored Gale's quest to look at a book because I kept getting arrested there after having killed the boss mage guy
I also foolishly though this wouldn't have any consequences. oh boy was I wrong
went to see a underwater prison, got told off by Gortash, decided to explore it after killing him, and promptly forgot to do so
killed Gortash! fuck that guy the only good thing about him is his fancy robe
tried to recruit a dragon called Ansur, found out the emperor is Balduran (????????? honestly I was shocked)
killed said dragon and felt like I was playing skyrim all over again
found a letter ("Dear Ansur") by Balduran/the Emperor. this was the first time I cried. I could still cry.
patch 6 came out! that was yesterday and I spent about 10 minutes trying out new kisses and sitting on Shadowhearts stool in camp (she now says "I'm glad you decided to join me" or something like that when you do)
went pretty much straight to the underground pool thing where the brain was supposed to be
failed abysmally to Dominate The Brain™
got pulled out by the emperor and had to start beef with Lae'zel because I had also forgotten to care about Orpheus and the hammer from the House of Hope
admittedly, I didn't really forget, I just didn't want to spend any more time with Raphael than I absolutely had to
my +14 persuasion saved the day once more and Lae'zel was fine with the one hope in her life getting his brains sucked out
went off to fight the brain once more. my game crashed twice trying to load that cutscene.
met all my allies! I forgot how many there were actually, and I only called on two of the groups later on
fought a lot. like a LOT lot.
got to the Netherbrain and kicked it's ass*
*had to reload about 3 times and try again because Minsc at level 12 was stuck on 100 hp for some reason and kept fucking dying
finally managed to kill the fucker! had Lae'zel deal the killing blow which seemed very fitting
more cutscenes, but this one actually didn't crash the game, I got to look at some beautiful unloaded walls and stuff instead
Lae'zel left right after we got to the haven. understandably so
remember how I ignored Gale's quest? well he didn't blow himself up like he inteded earlier, but he left to becOME A GOD????? I cannot fucking deal with this man
Karlach on the pier. this was the second time I cried, but unproportionally much so
Wyll left with her for Avernus, the little cutscene of them arriving there made me feel a bit better
Astarion had to leg it because of the sun (sorry)
Shadowheart didn't do much of anything during all of this, neither did Minsc, Halsin or Jaheira
decided to go help kids with Halsin, seems to fit my character (eventhough I really didn't roleplay so much)
we got an epilogue! yippie!
caught up there with everyone, except Lae'zel (who was there via the fantasy version of zoom) and Gale (who was there via the fantasy equivalent of a voicemail)
tried to hug Gale, couldn't, almost cried again but managed
also met a tressym who I recognized from fanart as Tara. I don't know why she was there, we never met her before and Gale hadn't mentioned her either
read a LOT of letters the party had received. barely kept my composure at the Gur's letter to Astarion
Withers did a cool speech and the game ended
after all of this and so much more that I didn't take notes about, I can confidentially say that Baldur's Gate 3 is the best video game I have ever played, and within it's genre my favourite ever!
I'm also emotionally devestated, especially after these final parts (but in a good way)
that's all, thanks for reading!

"Don't go to a record store, do not go into a record store," I thought, and I went into a record store. Whats up at the D of ABC? A shiny, colorful DVD box with all of the single's videos! I mean not only the Great And Super Anton Corbijn's works, but all. I didn't know this release. It was made in 2016 so Spirit and of course MM videos are painfully missing but having People Are People, Shake The Disease, Stripped or Meaning Of Love in HQ is amazing. Earlier I already bought classic Strange/Strange Too (reissue, 2023) and Corbijn's Videos 86>98 (reissue, 2000, scroll down) and Videos 86-98+ (2002, scroll down), but I found this beauty, I couldn't leave it in the shop. Here comes my too-long-and-perhaps-pointless DVD-post.
Video Singles Collection / Sony, 2016

There are some screenshots in the booklet from the videos like Stripped, Shake The Disease and Just Can't Get Enough:

I should tell to my boss not to give me any raise because I spent all of it to DM stuff. Actually I already told her, she laughed.
Tour Collection

I have all the official of DM tour videos on DVD, including The World We Live In And Live In Hamburg. It released on VHS in 1985 but I never had a video player, it's unecessary to buying one just for a single videotape - and the tape without player is unecessary too… It officially released on DVD only in the US (NTSC) which doesn't work in Europian region and on laserdisc in Japan - both are extremely rare. I find and I copied it from a specialist guy who's archived it in HQ from his Japan laserdisc and refit the sound (~7Gb). I'm going to make a DVD with printed cover just to put it on the shelf <3
After my 1st piece of the tours, Touring The Angel (scroll down) I've decided to buy all of them. Most of them are original edition which was important for me - except 101 (2003; 2005) and Devotion (2004), but those have similar, beautiful paper boxes like other tour's from the 2000s. Better quality than Youtube and better to touch it and hold it in your hand, including all of extras instead of torrent.
These are my new pieces:

Between 2000-2010 cases are in paper covers with booklets, I adore it, it's not only pieces of round plastic in a cheap snap plastic. Devotional (2004), One Night in Paris (+CD, 2002), Tour of the Universe: Barcelona 20/21.11.09 (+DC, 2010). I didn't pay much for them, as you can see their papersleeves are used, especially Devotional's, which fits on it's era:

Nice photos and datas in booklets:

From 2010 covers went smaller and become boxes - Live in Berlin (2014), SPiRiTS In the Forest (2020). I bought Spirit in a record shop (it's brand new), but finding Delta was tough, I could order it only from a seller in Denmark, free shipping (used, but seems new):

I love these boots, so cute:

Corbijn's stage set sketch for Delta Machine; Martin is singing Condemnation with Peter:

I like the warning "Contains moderate s*x references" and "infrequent strong language", it can be in the documentary part or Dave's hot and funny moments on the stage.
Collection 101
Umm, this is my 6th 101 record inlcuding a 7" vinyl... (I've already sold the other 2 Germany singles on the link, I replaced them to English version). I wrote about the reasons earlier, why I bought 2 kinds of 101 DVD (2005; 2021), but as you can see on this link (scroll down), non of them contained any booklet or extra photos inside, only DVDs. Then I found an older edition in paper box (is this the right word?) on the used stuff online market - it cost only 7€ because the documentary DVD was missing. It was printed in 2003, Germany with many beautiful photos. I know, it's not the new Blu-ray with extras, but I can play only DVD format and that is 10 times more expensive.

To the right you can see both side of a small card, it is written in Hungarian: "Win a Depeche Mode 101 thirt! If you send back this coupon to EMI's addresse (Budapest, …) with the code-word 'Game 101' until 20th of December, you will be entered into a draw and you can win one of the 101 exclusive, unique shirts!" - at the back: "Name, Addresse, Telephone number". It was in 2003, e-mail and PC was still rare compare to telephone.

Funny long post with trillion photos. I like to see through my collection and costs, its history, or simply just help others who are considering to collect similar stuff. Difficult journey, but really joyful.

I know a lot of people are gonna say that the issue with using AI posts for everything is laziness and insulting the integrity of the writer who is actually trying (which is fair) but it's more than that.
1. Most Character Writing bots have weird limitations put in for legal reasons. No racism, suicide, talks of child abuse, and no violent actions by the AI itself. If you were hoping to have a villain in your story, you'd better expect them to only be menacing through dialogue.
2. The AI has no memory. It can only really effectively reply to the post/prompt you just gave it. Even on sites like Character.AI or whatever it was, the new and improved version can only remember posts up to about 20 posts ago. If you intended for a long form story, don't bother.
Let me put it this way. If you have a story with an AI Bot writing for the other person, and you have one character of yours absent for 21 posts only to return, the AI will act like they're meeting for the first time again.
3. This goes hand in hand with 2. The AI can't plan ahead. It can reply to one post at a time with no plan for a follow through. Even if it types in such a way that implies a plan, what happens next might be totally fucking different from anything that it's currently building to because your next prompt will restart it from 0. It's for this reason that...
4. The AI is incredibly reactive to everything. There is no push or pull, even from AI bots of characters who are all about carving ahead and being the proactive character. You are expected to decide the story for it.
So then, can anyone really tell me that it's okay and fair to use AI in an RP without telling the other person? They'll be caught in an endless loop of low stakes, fluffy and meaningless RPs that never properly develop the character because it can't change too far from the original programming. While they don't know they're talking to a bot, that's time that could be going to replying to a real RPer who has real plans and is really passionate about a story.
Speaking of which.
5. The AI can't write multiple characters worth shit. Seriously. If it tries it'll basically be writing the same character and getting mixed up eventually. One more reason why the workload is mainly on you.
But the real TL:DR is that I'm not mad about people using it because "Grr. I'm trying and they're not." It's because if we lived in a world where I couldn't figure out that this was AI and thought it was someone trying their best but making the plot go nowhere forever, I would feel like continuing to indulge out of sympathy without ever realizing I'm the only one there. It's time that could go to other, better things.

Hey would you maybe consider making a demigreyromantic userbox please? :3
Demigreyromantic userboxes for anon!
Couldn't decide which looked better so I posted both versions I made. Hope you like them!
Demigreyromantic - someone who is demiromantic and greyromantic, meaning they rarely or infrequently experience romantic attraction only after they formed a deep connection with someone.

Masky and MK just chilling :3
I wanted to draw some creepypasta art then remembered a photo I took a few years back and decided to make it the background for this piece.
This is my first time ever drawing Masky/Tim - as well as the smoke - and I'm pretty proud with how it turned out
This photo is actually taken from inside of a car so they're technically on the side of the road, but you can't really tell that unless you know where this is.
Anyways, the creepypasta fandom has once again taken ahold of me, if my last post didn't make that obvious, and so I have decided to spill MK's lore since it's changed just a bit.
I'm not sure how much of her lore I've actually posted so here we go:
As a child MK, or Grace as she's actually named, had a brief encounter with the tall man himself - yet remained initially unaffected by him. As she got older her mind would wander, zoning out as she would call it, followed by fits of coughing. Her dreams would be plagued with nightmares of the woods of Rosswood, but she never spoke about them to her parents due to them already dealing with her overimaginative mind as it is - not believing her when she was younger about the man with no face.
She had no friends to really talk to in school, having become the loner kid because of how odd she was. It didn't help that the popular girls always picked on her. Even into middle school, which is when she first experienced death. The incident of having a harmonic down her throat during a homecoming football game. She was rushed to the hospital, but the damage had already been done. Grace died upon the operating table after the removal of the harmonic, but because she had been one that Operator was after that death didn't last long.
Though, due to being brain dead for a few minutes, she lost her memories of everything prior to waking up in the hospital. No matter what her parents tried to do she could not remember anything. This led to a shift in her social life at school. Those who had participated in the incident, minus the queen bee of the group, felt bad and did everything to make her life better than before. No one ever mentioned a word about the incident to her and life went on.
Until one day when she was in her freshman year of college, during the summer, Grace decided to introduce her boyfriend Brad to her best friend - the queen bee that caused the incident - after the two had been dating for a month. Little did she know that her bf and best friend were dating behind her back, believing her to be dumb naive person - that is until she overheard them talking from the kitchen.
She had gone to get a drink and came back to them talking as if she hadn't been in the other room. This caused her to snap - a familiar noise filling her head as she lost all control of herself. In that moment she became Musical Kitten for the way she killed the two with the musical instruments around her apartment then carved little cat emoticon into their skin as sort of signature - though it was more to mock how Brad would call her kitten because of her "naivety" since he view her as some helpless kitten that relied on him.
When it was all said and done, and the anger faded, she saw what she had done and ran. She couldn't believe what she had done, but there was no denying it had happened. Slowly the anger returned as those memories once gone were returned - leading to everyone involved in the incident dying by her hands. Yet each time it happened she couldn't believe she had done it. She knew that it was the man with no face using her, at least that's what she figured after spotting him upon fleeing from one of the crime scenes.
Eventually she would be one of his proxies, but it didn't stop her from feeling bad for her own actions.
This updated version is inspired by Marble Hornets because of having finally watched it few weeks ago. I wanted MK to have a bit of a connection to the MH lore, but still be disconnected enough that it doesn't feel like I'm trying to shove her into specifically the MH world.
I do have it in my head that after becoming a proxy she's close with Masky and Hoodie because of knowing their story since she would've been aware of it with it being a YouTube channel - though she would've initially believed it was all fake until after her first kill. Of course this is just for my own little universe that has my ocs in and it just for the funsies.
So I hope you enjoyed my little bit of lore along with my art. I had fun making the art and just rambling about my oc. I might do individual posts for my other ocs to flesh out their stories, but for now you have my main girl's story.
As always remember to stay creative :3

Cake-pocalypse: Return of the Frosting-ing

Some of you may recall I've mentioned being busy with a cake-pocalypse. Well, here's the end result. I made both of these cakes, from scratch, for my parents' 50th anniversary party last weekend. Now that it's over, I thought it'd be fun to do a post about it, because while there's tons of popular baking shows, it's not a topic everyone necessarily knows about.
So, what goes into making cake for approximately 100 people?
Step 1) Baking the wedding cakes

A) The tiered cake was based on a photo of my parents' original wedding cake. To replicate it, I needed four tiers of vanilla cake, which meant eight layers of cake, two for each tier.
Fun fact: I learned how to bake from my mom, who is a talented home baker. I made my first cake by myself at age 9, and then gradually expanded my skills through years of practice. And when I say my mom is talented, I mean it; she's made wedding cakes for at least half a dozen friends and family over the years. It was only right that I use my mom's favorite wedding cake recipe for the batter; I think I ended up using 6 batches to make all the tiers, plus 2 dozen cupcakes to use up extra batter.
B) Once the cakes had cooled, I wrapped them in plastic wrap and put them in the freezer overnight. This firms up the cake's "crumb" or structure, making it easier to work with. By this point, it was late Sunday night; baking the cakes had taken almost all day. What with work and errands, I didn't resume work on the cakes until Thursday night. After partially thawing the cakes, I leveled each one by cutting off the tops where the cake had domed. This is a crucial step to make sure the cakes will stack properly; you don't want them tilting or toppling over.
C) Now that the cakes are leveled, they need their base coat of frosting. I used SO MUCH buttercream for these cakes CRY The trick is to frost them while they're still cold from the freezer, so the crumbs don't get into the frosting as much. Even so, every cake needed two coats of frosting, first the crumb coat, then, after a trip back to the freezer to set the frosting, a second coat to hide the crumbs stuck in the first coat. At this point, I was done (for now) with the wedding cakes, because I was NOT going to try to transport a completed four tier cake, which meant I couldn't stack/decorate them until the day of the party.
Step 2) Making the sheet cake

A) My entire day Saturday was spent baking, and it began with making the 12x18 chocolate sheetcake. It took three batches of cake batter; my favorite chocolate cake recipe is from Sally's Baking Addiction. I used the sour cream version, which is sturdier and thus would hopefully travel better.
B) Once the cake was baked, it took a loooong time to cool. You NEVER frost a warm cake, because the icing will melt and make a huge mess. Side note, this cream cheese frosting recipe is the best I've ever seen, and the coffee version I made by adding espresso powder turned out delicious.
C) After carefully chilling the cake in the fridge (it barely fit), I covered the entire cake with a chocolate glaze. The combination of chocolate cake + coffee cream cheese frosting + glaze comes from the Yule logs my mom makes every year, and which my dad and the rest of my family really love.

D) I draw a lot of practice grids and decoration ideas when I was first planning the cakes. I ended up deciding to do a pattern of frosting swirls with espresso beans, plus piping the message in the center. Since it is VERY hard to fix fuck ups, I practiced my calligraphy and my balloons on a piece of parchment paper before I put a piping bag anywhere near the cake. Once the buttercream had set, I painted it with a mixture of edible gold-colored pearl dust and vodka. Amazing stuff, a friend who has a home bakery recommended it. It was around 1am when the chocolate cake was done, and went back in the fridge to keep safe until the next day.
Step 3) Piping roses

While the chocolate cake was baking and cooling, it was time to work on decorations for the wedding cake. Buttercream roses are a pain in the ass, but since the original cake had them, this cake needed them too. Bless my niece, who served as my assistant for about 3 hours. My initial attempts at dyeing the frosting came out way too garish, but she tweaked them into the lovely shades of crimson and green you see here. She also held the flower nail so I could make my first 20 or so attempts at the roses using the Wilton technique. The buttercream was NOT cooperating at first; we had to add more powdered sugar to stiffen it, and then we had to keep putting the piping bags in and out of the fridge to get them to just the right consistency for piping. After my niece left, my bf held the flower nail for another 30+ roses. My hand and my arm were killing me by the end, but I was really worried about not having enough to cover the cake. Also, more practice meant better roses.
Step 4) Assembling the tiered cake

A) Sunday morning was D-Day. We got to the venue 3 hours early because I knew I'd need every minute to assemble and decorate the tiered cake. Each tier sits on a cardboard cake board, but that's not enough support. To counteract the inevitable peril of gravity, the center of each tier is filled with straws. These hold up the tiers above so they don't smush the cake below.
B) Once the tiers were stacked, I piped a swirl of vines, as close to the original cake as I could manage.
C) Then, very, very carefully, I stuck the buttercream roses on using a dab of fresh frosting. You have to work quickly; the buttercream roses are firm when you first take them out of the freezer or fridge, which means you can pick them up, but if you take too long, your fingers will melt the petals. I was terrified about placing roses on the vertical sides of the cake, but thank god, none of them fell off. Once the roses were in place, I added leaves to the vines and beneath the roses.
D) A close up of the final result. I finished literally 1 minute before the party was supposed to start, at which point I had to carry this from the venue's kitchen to the table where it would sit; my bf went in front of me to shoo people out of the way.
Step 5) Dealing with leftovers

a) Oh god, leftovers! The chocolate cake got demolished, as did the vanilla cake, once we sent some slices home, but there were still leftovers. Why? Because the way a tiered cake is served, you cut slices from the outside ring, but NOT from the center round which is stuffed full of straws. So... what to do with all that extra cake?
b) Well, if you pull the straws out and re-frost, then you've got three perfectly nice cakes. I already had plenty of extra frosting and roses, lol. My students were quite happy to take all this cake off my hands, though I only had enough slices for the first half of my classes.
c) However, I also still had SIX CUPS of cake crumbs from the offcuts which I'd cut off the cakes when I leveled them. Crumbs + frosting+ a dip in chocolate = cake pops! Massive, massive cake pops, lol, I used my biggest cookie scoop. The second half of my classes got these beauties, and a couple coworkers finished off the extras.
And that's it! God willing I won't make a cake again for quite a while, lol, this was exhausting.
