my dude, I've been following you just a little past when you introduced Bruce to us (Still SO chuffed that you decided to call him Bruce!!) and I wanna say. It's been incredible watching your art evolve over the years. It's also awesome seeing you handle characters (your own OCs or otherwise!) and bring them to life. Every time I see you on the dash I'm hit with some super deep-chest, warm-drink-feeling nostalgia, like "ough, look at renny's art and all the expression that's been fit into there!!" that makes me pause for a minute. It's always really nice to see, and I figured I'd tell you instead of sitting on it for an eternity, ha.

hi, my name is Lucent! please don’t shorten it, just Lucent!! i’m genderfluid, and primarily use they/xe, though i’m fine with she/he too. i use interchangable terms (such as sir or miss) so don’t worry about misgendering me!!

okay, now for the longer bit. i love The Owl House and i make fanart for that mostly. i love Six of Crows too, but beyond that, i don’t plan on drawing any other fandoms. here are my reasons and exceptions:

-i don’t enjoy drawing anything else

-if i don’t know enough about a fandom i just don’t know if it’s toxic or not. i know a lot of other shows/games etc. but if i don’t know what’s going on or which ships are problematic and such, it wouldn’t look good for me.

-drawing and posting on tumblr is for fun! i’m not currently doing commissions so if i don’t gain anything from it i’ll probably get burnt out

-if it’s an au i’ll consider it (but again if i really don’t know enough about a fandom i probably won’t get around to do it. also, the au would have to be of TOH characters in that universe or something, not the other way around).

i don’t mean to be a debbie downer about what i post, i just don’t feel comfortable drawing things i don’t like. and whenever someone asks me to, i feel really bad.

well, while i’m on track i should probably post my other boundaries too…

anyway, my absolute most favorite pieces of media of all time are undertale and deltarune guys. i cant put in words how much those games mean to me holy shit. as i’m writing this i’m sitting next to my jevil and sans and spamton plushie and they are saying hi. anywayyy yeah i was in the deltarune fandom for a bit it was fun. spamton is silly fucked up creature. jevil is my all time favorite tho

AND THE MAGNUS ARCHIVES… my favorite thing ever fr. y’all. also i love the amazing world of gumball so fucking much. i wasn’t allowed to watch cartoon network as a kid (idk why??) so i first watched tawog last year and holy shit holy shit it’s my favorite thing ever. rob. ROB!!!! ROB IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE CHARACTER. SO IS MR SMALL. AHHHH!!!! anyway i love tawog i’ve drawn a lot of fanart and even wrote a 60k word fanfiction (about what happens after The Inquisition because that ending fucked me up) that i’ve Never and will probably never show anyone because it’s probably Not that good. but it was sooo Important to me back then. tawog just means so much to me it :))) it changed me as a person. nobody’s a nobody and everybody is weird like you and me.

i also really like hollow knight! i haven’t played it in a while but i was at 111% completion on one of my playthroughs (CURSE YOU PANTHEON 4). i’m also super fucking excited for silksong obviously and i will say this now: WHEN SILKSONG FINALLY RELEASES… i will probably go on hiatus here LMAO. sorry but guys. SILKSONG…. honestly same for new deltarune chapters. the second chapters 3, 4, and 5 release it is sooo over for me. i probably won’t post much here for a few months during that. but that’s fine!! i’ll never abandon tllr but sometimes some things are more important to my silly little brain :3

gravity falls quite literally changed my life in 2018. like i can’t even explain it, but it’s how i was introduced to online fandoms and fanart in general. dipper LITERALLY made me trans (not literally but pretty much). it’s how i started watching other amazing cartoons and series i love, it’s literally what made me get into drawing art and writing and stuff. it’s what made me start making ocs. it literally made me an artist guys. which is how i started writing. without gravity falls and it’s effect it had on me, this account might have never existed?? i’m being super dramatic but wowww. i was so autistic about that silly cartoon

minecraft i love. i’ve been playing minecraft for over a decade and won’t stop because it’s like, probably a special interest of mine? i’ve watch minecraft youtubers forever too, hermitcraft and the life series are my favorite. i’m a huge grian fan too, been watching him since the evo days. anyway if u play minecraft and wanna play with me sometime, feel free to ask!!! :D i love making new friends and playing video games with people!!! let’s make a world together!!!

other series i love are the umbrella academy. soooo autistic about this show it’s fucking AMAZING!!!!!! klaus is my favorite character. anyway i also like what we do in the shadows. it made me super autistic about vampires (before i watched this show i kinda thought vampires were cringe IDK WHY I’M SORRYY). the netflix show lucifer made me insane a few years ago and is what probably indirectly inspired me to give Dew wings. i also like our flag means death, breaking bad, moon knight, and camp here in there (another podcast i HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend, will wood made the soundtrack!)

i LOVEEE FINAL SPACE!! avocato has been my pfp on this account forever and now i feel like i can’t ever change it (i don’t want to). final space is seriously amazing!!! but it was cancelled and basically got fucked over by the networks- infinity train style. idk, stuff happened and it was removed from hbo max so there’s not really anywhere to watch it (legally) except for netflix international iirc? but it’s getting removed from that too i think. super fucking sad :( it ended on a huge cliffhanger too BUT there is a graphic novel being made!!!! super excited about that!

other cartoons i like are over the garden wall (dressed up as wirt for halloween last year), the owl house, adventure time, regular show, steven universe, infinity train, bojack horseman, rick and morty, mlp, the midnight gospel, and so much more i’m forgetting. OH anime i like are death note, demon slayer (haven’t caught up yet on the latest seasons tho), and MOB PSYCHO 100!! vampire in the garden on netflix is really amazing as well.

this is sooo long but now i gotta talk about my favorite music artists. WILL WOOD (AND THE TAPEWORMS) IS MY FAVORITEEE. I ALSO LOVEEE JHARIAH!!! (i was in the spongebob musical earlier this year for school! i was larry the lobster :))

Chapter Summary: Valentino's been pissy and Vox is horny...That means Velvette needs Theia to work her magic again! Vox and Theia fuck, okay, that's most of the 'plot' in this one. I have marked the start and end if you want to skip the smut, as there is more to it in this chapter than just sex.

This is the chapter where we first get introduced to Rana, a good friend of Theia's! She's an imp who lives in Imp City. While this conversation takes place on the phone, they meet once a week to chat about Theia's souls and how they're both doing, who Rana takes care of most of the time because Theia has a depression problem (despite adamantly denying it).

Living just outside of the tech district means that you are nearly onslaught with all of their advertisements as soon as you leave your apartment, and while you have tried to stay under their radar, having nearly a thousand souls under your care and being seen on camera eviscerating sinners and eating their eyes if they made the mistake of attacking you had caused far more attention than you’d planned. It hadn’t been a year that you’d been living here before they’d insisted on a meeting, and after, they’d insisted on keeping in touch, much to your irritation. Valentino has been constantly trying to get you to be in one of his films; Vox isn’t much better, perplexed as to why he can’t keep a handle on you other than on his various cameras throughout their territory. Velvette is by far the most tolerable of the three, but that is probably because you always make an effort of wearing your most fashionable choices whenever you leave the apartment, though she still nags at you relentlessly to get on Sinstagram. You don’t have the heart to tell her that besides your very low-tech phone, which has such a small display that it doesn’t even have a camera, you are technology free, including radio. Has it been dull? Yes. Does it keep you safer from prying eyes? Most definitely. That’s the point.

Your phone buzzes again. Another text. You pull your phone out of your pocket. Frowning, you open your phone to see two new texts from Velvette.

Velvette: The pissbabies are fighting again Velvette: You fucking comin or what

Just as you start to type out a reply on your ancient phone that requires you type the same key multiple times to get a single letter, another text comes through from her to your phone.

Velvette: Says he won’t talk to anyone else

You groan. Vox was in one of his pouty moods. You’re not sure what has caused him to grow attached to you, or why you are willing to indulge him, but you do. Shifting your dress into the most fashionable choice you have that you haven’t worn recently, you let the sleeves poof and the hemline retract to mid thigh, then grab a belt from your closet to wrap around your waist. You don’t wear it often but love the eye on the buckle that compliments the rest of your dress. You decide to go with an asymmetrical neckline and remove one of the sleeves, letting it hug your side underneath instead. You take your hair down, pulling the pin out from your hair to use as a cane. You open, lock, and close your door behind you. As soon as you leave your apartment, you feel the cameras on the street trained on you. I’ll need to disguise leaving the apartment tomorrow, you realize as you do. that or I’ll have to pop in and out of my apartment to remove its contents somehow without exiting the front door. Leaving with a suitcase would draw far too much attention to myself. Despite having just returned from his unexplained sabbatical, Alastor has a long-standing feud with Vox, if the the constant bad-mouthing the TV Demon has made a habit of spilling about him is anything by which to go. I've heard talk of the rivalry they have and would much rather not get involved in anything between the two of them if I can avoid it, yet like most things I've tried to avoid I suspect it will invevitably come to a head eventually.

Your walk to Vee Tower is not a slow one, despite you wanting to take your time. Vox is impatient, like always, and it’s causing the power to fluctuate slightly. When you enter the building, you are escorted to the executive elevator, and it takes you directly to Vox’s office.

When the large double doors open, Vox is there, hunched over his keyboard. He’s pouting. The big, bad, TV Demon, an overlord, is pouting. “What’s ‘Tino done this time?” You ask as you saunter up to his desk.

He spins around in his chair, his posture straightening, all smiles, as if he hadn’t just been pouting a second ago. “Ah, Theia, how has this wonderfully Hellish afternoon been treating you?”

You raise an eyebrow. “I’m fine, Vox, just got my restock of eyeballs this morning. Always a good day where there’s fresh eyes to eat.” You grin. “Now, did you want something, or were you just desperate to have all my eyes fixated on you for a change?” Making a point, you look anywhere but him as you say this, tapping your cane on the floor and glancing about his office with a lack of interest. It does irritate you how there aren’t any eyes in this room. You can’t exactly look through his sharks. Living creatures, even non-sentient ones, aren’t fair game to you unless stipulated in some sort of contract, and while you’ve considered trying one with Vox, you’re not even sure if he has eyes. They exist, but they’re on his screen, a part of his image. It’s confusing, and you’re not sure how his powers would mesh with yours. If I could see out of his, would I have access to his entire camera network? Or just what he was viewing at the time?

“What, I’m not allowed to miss you, a future overlord in the making? You have potential, Theia, think of it!” He gestures grandly, and you chuckle.

“You don’t even know what I do, Vox. What makes you so sure that my wheelhouse would even coincide with yours?”

“If I know anything about you is that you’re immune to my hypnotism and you’re covered in eyes. If there’s one thing I need, it’s someone who can draw them to me.”

“Them?” You echo him, not really following.

“Eyes!” He exclaims.

“If it’s just the eyes you need I can ask Rosie to order you a jar.” You tease back, bemused.

“What are sinners, viewers, followers, but eyes with bodies attached?” He raises an eyebrow as you look at him, really look at him.

“While that sounds delicious, I hardly see how I can be of any help.” You counter easily.

“If you’d just t̷̬͖̰͎̟͈͉̱̹͙̺̹͈̟͈̰̓̌̿̌̍͘̕ë̴̡̓l̶͎͓̭̳͉̆̊͌͊͆̐̓̚ĺ̷͉͂͂̎̂͊̾͐̑͠ ̷͚͖̹̭̽͑̔̐̃́m̸̧͙̟̐̐̑̚̚ë̸̢͍͍̟̺̱̜̲̳̭̦͕̤̟̗̫͙́̓̋ what you can do, I bet I could find a place for you.” He snaps back; his screen begins to glitch as he clenches his fists tightly.

“And put an end to our fun so soon? Hardly. Tell you what, Vox. If you can figure out what my powers are, what I can do, I’ll consider—just consider, no guarantee—joining you in some capacity. Assuming you even have an interest after you discover it, of course.”

He grins back at you, never one to back down from a challenge. “You’re on.” Standing, he takes the two strides it requires for him to be within inches of you. It’s cool, calculated, and deliberate. “Think of V names for when I win. There isn’t any room for a ‘Theia’ in the Vees.”

You have to tilt your head up to look him in the eye at this close proximity. It’s not much, but it’s enough. You refuse to let your smile, your smirk, slip from your face. You shrug as you smirk harder. “It’s not as if ‘Theia’ is my real name, anyway. That’s easy though. Visionary.” You wink as you start to saunter off, pleased to perk him up from whatever foul mood he’d been in before. “Not that I’ll use it. You haven’t got a chance. You still haven’t even figured out why you can’t track my phone.”

He grabs your wrist as you turn away, spins you back into him. You collide into his chest and the air seems like it’s been sucked out of you. His eyes are crazed, the right one warbling, pupils blown. Is that a bit of drool at the corner of his mouth? His claws catch your chin to tip your head back again, to look him in the eyes. “Fuck that’s h̷̢̢̡̛̬̲͈͙̜̥͇̮̰̘̭̟̔̆͊̅͐̈́̾̀̃̅̂̈́͊̈͋͝o̵̧̤͍͍̬͇͍͐̉̒͗̾̀͋̓̌̎̓͐̊̚͝͝ṯ̴̈́͊͋͛̔͋̾̌͆̓̚. “Oh?” You counter back, eyebrow raised again. “What do you plan to do about it?”

In lieu of an answer, Vox closes the distance between your faces. He tastes like black coffee, oil, and television static. What he lacks in lips to kiss he makes up for with his electrifying tongue, which seeks entrance into your mouth almost immediately. You oblige him, shrinking your cane to stuff it into your pocket, your arms wrapping around his broad shoulders. You’re already familiar with how he likes this dance to go, well-versed in their steps. The tongue in your mouth sends tingles throughout your body, and you’re already wet with the thrill of what’s to come. He starts moving as he kisses you, backs you up against his desk easily. Papers are pushed aside and thrown everywhere as he hauls you up onto it, deftly lifting your skirts and pushing aside your panties.

You can’t help but buck your hips eagerly in anticipation, but he already has them in his grasp, preventing you from moving much. He chuckles placatingly into your mouth, and the television static makes your head foggy and your lips tingle. His clawed fingers find your thighs, teasing the skin with firm yet gentle strokes as he touches everywhere but where you want him. “Vox, please,” You murmur as you close your eyes, all of them, and one of his hands comes up to grasp your chin.

“Eyes on m̸͇̣̠̬̊̑̈́́̓͛̏̑͗̈́͝ȩ̶͉̙͕͍̮̜͖̓̃͛̅̒͂͋̐̓̀͒̓́͘͠ͅ.” He intones, his right eye warbling, his voice glitching and filled with static. He can’t hypnotize you but he will enthrall you. You bite your lip, but you keep your gaze locked on him as he kneels before you and shreds the fabric between your thighs. You expected as much, so you don’t protest. Your hands are on the sides of his head in an instant as he puts that tongue to good use. He doesn’t mind if you touch him, can touch him all you like as long as you keep every one of those watching eyes fixed on him, wants to see them roll back with the pleasure he gives you as you watch him do it. And give it to you he does. Your legs open greedily to him, and his hands find your hips again, claws digging into your ass with a satisfying pinch. You moan as his tongue slides through your folds and into the wet cavity between them, electrifying and buzzing as it finds that delicious spot inside you, pulls out to stroke against your clit and then slides back inside. You help him with his pants, unbuckle the belt, unzip him, and pull them down along with his boxers. He’s wearing the blue with yellow lightning bolts today, though now they are on the floor instead. You quirk a smile up to him as he bobs in front of you, fully erect. You’ve always loved how he looks, a strange blue hue, electrodes rounding his member where veins would normally be. You waste no time and climb on top of him, taking him in his entirety in one smooth motion. Both of you moan at the feeling of him filling you. You rest your hands on either side of his head on the back of his chair, and start a slow pace. He challenges it with a far more brutal one, and you groan, throwing your head back but keeping your eyes firmly on him. You draw a smiley face at the bottom with an eye and one winking, and in your name, instead of a dot above the i, you drew another eye. It is fun, flirty, and most importantly, it covers the page in eyes. You haven't tried it before, but as you finish, you close your eyes and open the ones on the page in front of you, and find you're looking at yourself. It worked. Perfect. You know he’ll likely keep it near him. You hope he’ll put it up somewhere in here, but you wouldn’t know for sure until you tried it again later.

You leave then, knowing he has no interest in seeing you after your escapades. Vox isn’t the type for pillow talk, especially when there isn’t a pillow to lay on, and it has never been for what he wants you. You are alright with that. You aren’t looking for a relationship. A quick fuck and a few orgasms are more than enough for you.

You take a detour into his personal washroom to wipe up the mess that trickles down your legs, then make your way into the executive elevator, taking your hairpin out of your pocket to return it to cane size. You don’t receive a message of thanks from Velvette. She isn’t the type to appreciate a job well done other than in the act of completion. You did what she asked and that is sufficient for her, and you know that is what was expected. You make your way out of the elevator and out the front door, then walk the brief distance to your apartment.

Unlocking and entering your apartment once more, you head to take a shower. You shrink the cane to hairpin size once more, and changing out of your dress, which you shape into something simple and sheath-like before you hang it up, you stick the hairpin into a pocket and grab a comfy night dress and new undergarments. The water is near scalding as you turn it on, and you wait for it to cool down a little before you step inside. You wash and rinse your body to rid yourself of the mess of the day, not just of the mess of this afternoon. When you’re done, you turn off the water, dry off with a nice fluffy towel, and slip into the night dress, then the cozy slippers you have on the floor near the door.

It is inching towards late in the evening at this point, and you are exhausted. You grab a handful of eyes and pop them into your mouth. It is hardly dinner but it is sufficient. You grab another two handfuls to satisfy your hunger and plop yourself down on the couch. You still have to call Rana before it gets too late.

You pull out your phone once more. This time unimpeded, you call Rana. She picks up on the second ring. “We aren’t scheduled to meet until next week. Is something amiss, my lady?” “Rana, please, stop calling me that. We’ve talked about this. Call me ‘Theia’. Nothing is ‘amiss’ as you so call it. Ugh you’d think hanging out with the imps in Imp City would have changed your vocabulary but you’re still as proper as ever.”

“Just because one has relocated to an environment far different from one’s own doesn’t mean one should slip into language unbecoming of one’s status, ‘Theia’.” You can practically hear Rana wrinkling her nose as she calls you that, pushing up whatever pair of frames she has today perched on her face. For an imp, she gives stuffy librarian energy, has as far back as you can remember. “If nothing is amiss, what is your reasoning for calling?”

“I met him. Rosie made me, Rana. I had no choice. She basically strong-armed another overlord into inviting me to stay at that Hazbin Hotel. She got all mother hen on me and told me I need to meet new people, that I should go make...friends.”

“She’s right, you know.” You hear Rana say as you sigh, and you can practically see her rolling her eyes at you in response. “You do need to get out of that apartment, make friends, do things. I can easily take care of everything here. I’ve got work, and I’m even keeping track of all your soul contracts for you, even though that’s technically supposed to be your job. When you’re in better spirits I do expect you to keep track of them yourself, but I can manage it in the meantime.”

“You’re a lifesaver, Rana.” You say with a soft smile. She has always been here for you, even after everything.

“Of course. Anything for you.” She replies easily, and it makes your heart ache a little.

“How’s work?” You ask, genuinely curious. “Boss keeping you busy?”

She laughs, laughs until she is nearly in tears. “He’s insane, Theia. You’d like him. All chaos and murderous intent. It’s business. Keeps me on my toes, though I’m glad to only have paperwork to deal with for the most part. They were in dire need of my assistance when I showed up, though none of them seemed to act like they had put out an ad for a secretary?” You imagine she shrugs. “Someone is trying to keep that information a secret from the rest of the office, but it’s none of my business. It brings in the money and keeps me with a place to stay. I’m glad you’ll be living at the Hazbin. That means I won’t have to worry about your financial stability.”

“He sounds like a riot. I’d love to meet him someday.” You smile, genuine and honest. You’ve been smiling all day, forced and deliberate, and you will be again for quite some time. It’s nice to have a genuine one for a change.

“When do you move to the hotel?” Rana asks as you sit up and snag another few eyeballs.

“Tomorrow.” You reply after you swallow. “I’ll head over in the morning. I’ll have to use the network. Vox has been extra diligent and you know how he is about Alastor. I don’t think he knows he’s back in town yet. That’ll be interesting to witness, I’m sure.”

“So you’re saying I should be concerned about blackouts in the near future. I’ll make a note of it. Boss’ll appreciate the advance notice I’m sure.” A pause, and then, “We’ll meet up next week at our regular spot at our usual time, yes?”

“Yeah, assuming there isn’t something that would prevent me from joining you. I’ll be sure to let you know if there is.”

“Sleep well tonight. I look forward to next week.”

“G’night Rana. You too. See you then.”

You hang up the phone and make your way to bed. Slipping under the covers, you curl up and close your eyes. You sleep peacefully, devoid of dreams, or at least none that you will recall.

Tomorrow will be an interesting day, and you’ll need all the sleep you can afford.

A/N: Chapter 3 will be where Theia starts to mesh with canon, as Chapter 1 and 2 take place in between Episode 1 and 2. Theia will arrive at the hotel just as Sir Pentious is attempting to attack Alastor at the beginning of Episode 2.

It’s my birthday! Since it’s my 20th, I thought I’d celebrate the occasion with a quick drawing of two of my characters. I would’ve liked to spend more time on it but I was pretty busy this week.

Since I haven’t posted these two here before, I should probably introduce them. The first one is my Yoshi sona. Nothing much to say about her, I just wanted a character themed around my username that I could use to represent me. The second character is my main OC, Vandoozle. I’ll probably share more about him in the future, so I won’t say much for now. Part of the reason I made this drawing is because I want to work on making more art for my characters and actually develop their stories, so I thought this would be a nice start. I haven’t drawn either of these two in a while and this drawing was pretty quick, so if they look different or inconsistent next time I draw them, don’t mind that lol

Weekly Update February 2, 2024

I think I’m mostly better. The medicine I take is once a week, and it’s supposed to last me all week. Last week it brought me through about Tuesday, this week I was good until Wednesday, hopefully next week it’ll last the full week. I’m doing fine today too because Fridays are when I administer it. I think I’ll be fine real soon. Unfortunately I am swamped with homework, but I can manage it pretty soon.

This week as far as art projects was mainly me messing with music. I found the trick to getting good electronic instruments, and that is a little free plugin called Krush. I don’t know why music software companies like mortal kombat so much that they spell everything like that, but the ones that do make nice stuff so I won’t judge. I also started fiddling with Melodies for some instrumental themes for OCs, Shaun and Romeo are first up for that, planning to make progress tonight. Cleaned up my other project files as well and found a nice bass and drum line I must’ve made while I was delirious on medicine after surgery bc I don’t remember making it but it sounds nice so I’ll keep it. I’m the process of cleaning up a Zelda medley, I’ll probably post the piano version of that alongside the full instrumental. Finally, another one that’s set for vocals even though I technically haven’t finished the first one. I’m impulsive. The first one is just missing vocals and lyrics really so once I’m in a good headspace I’ll try to lyric out both of these in one go and fiddle with vocaloid after I know what words I want.

I also finally started prodding at Vocaloid 5. I’m going with v5 over v4 because it has a more user friendly UI and I’m under the impression that the attack and release feature is unique to v5, although I may be wrong on that. I’m still not sure exactly which voicebanks I’ll want to use, obviously the Kagamines would be a good choice because having a male and female option packaged together is cool, but the Zolas are also a package deal and have a bit more variation amongst them. I’m not sure how well they do English though, since they’re not built for it. I mean I guess people won’t really care, people still seem to be big fans of the Vflower English songs even though she’s also not built for english *or the genre most of those songs are* and they eat them up anyway. The Zolas are also less marketable than the Kagamines or Vflower, though. Also I guess Miku is an option and probably an inevitability if I do start making vocaloid music but I don’t need to start with her, you know? Idk maybe I’ll keep working on song stuff and consider which vocal fits the best, maybe I’ll draw them a bit too, see how much demand there is.

I haven’t been doing any comic work because I’ve still been sick, plus now I’m waffling since I don’t have a big animation project anymore and I guess I could fill the void by making that project an animation, but I’m still unsure. It might be smart to do both, and at a minimum my thumbnailing out the comic makes sure that everything is paced correctly and the dialogue flows. Tonight I’m hoping to pick back up where I left of before I got sick: I had finished the first third of the first ‘episode’, and was moving on to act 2.

Today especially I’ve been bit by the TTRPG bug again and kinda want to write out and draw stuff for that, but normally I do my best conceptual writing while I’m delirious in bed after my sleep medicine is kicked in but before I fall asleep. I stayed up late last night alternating between chemistry homework and playing ghost trick so tonight should be a good night for writing. Maybe I’ll get more comic outline writing done too, who knows.

And finally I also just really need to get more drawings done. I posted those epithet challenge ones the other day, which people seem to like. And I really want to do a drawing of Lynne, I like her because she reminds me of an OC of mine, can’t say which one or why though because that’s a spoiler for both characters. I really need to do more art in general, so I threw together a wheel of small little doodles to do, but all that still relies on me having free time, which is a lot scarcer now that I’m working. Still, if I get back into the habit of chugging out those comic pages, I can probably do a little more.

I’m still not sure what to do tonight. I keep flipping back and forth over whether I want to do music or drawing, and end up with little in the way of posting. I did find out that I can post audio to tumblr easy now, so I’ll try to do that more often. Idk. I’m exhausted from today specifically, and this past week has been busy, but I’m hoping it’ll die down and I can do more this upcoming week.

1) Describe one creative WIP project you’re planning to work on over the summer.

Just a few days ago I decided to pull myself together and finish my drafts, debts and references queue. There’s a number of tabs with refs hanging in my browser... Need to get rid of them! Then I’ll also finish some tutorials from my previous lessons as well as rewatch the ones I already did, just to get back in shape. And will probably dive into some other courses - I have some good videos.

Was thinking about making some doll, clothes after a long break. My drunk shepherdess needs this, as I changed my mind to sell her away! (she’s another story). And a bag for my favorite tarot deck, now I use the the bag I made for another one, while that another one rests in a bag that once was part of friend’s Christmas present.

The rest is optional for now, but I hope to start drawing more portraits again. Maybe, by the end of the year I’ll be taking requests and trades for your OCs and favorite characters... That would be super cool.

I wanted to start attending my IRL art class again, but looks like I won’t be able to afford it 😢 Sadly I’m not making much money these days, and there are some unexpected expences.

I’m on my Breton and Francophone folk kick again, so I recommend 

- La Boutine Souriante, folk-rock from Quebec (so far I’m listyening to their earliest albums, but they’ve been around since 70s and have many albums)

- Tri Yann. Modern Breton classics, I’d say! Love those old men who are still fit and well.

5)Share one piece of advice!

I agree with @vidvana Take care of yourself! Also don’t skip meals, get enough sleep. And if you feel you’d use some support, seek it any ways. If you can’t afford therapy or anything, there’s plenty of books and resources. Sometimes it’s even easier to help yourself than to find help. I’m quite experienced in self-help, I know what I’m talking about. 

For me, Julia Cameron’s “The Artists’s Way” has become that single straw I grasped in my darkest times, and it actually helped greatly! I also used her list of further reading and quotes, thus finding Shakti Gauvain, whose books are inspiring and supportive as well. Later I was a moderator for several groups for the Asrtists’Way. Not an easy experience, but it taught me something as well.

But if there’s a chance of any therapy, groups, any other support, don’t give it up as well.

There’s a lot on Tumblr that I didn’t know I needed in my life. It gets distracting, but then sometimes it flares me up into wanting to make more. It drives me to want to make, either the art style, the ideas, the stories, or something else that makes me want to create. Even if it’s not drawing it could be writing or something else. That being said! Here’s todays art dump <3

This is pretty much finished, I may add some detail and touches later, but so far I’m happy with it.

The Komoraku or whatever I’m gonna call it is also going okay. I’ve colored everything, I just need to start adding detail, maybe a little more color differations but it seems to be going on fine. I’ll probably finish this tonight after I work.

Oh look! Turtle ocs? Nah it couldn’t be. Totally not a bunch of characters I made for the Prisoner’s Bale story. But seriously this is a lot of fun. This is pretty much the first iteration of the family so things could massively change before anything is set in stone. I’ve already changed Tobi’s age like 3 times already. I’m not totally convinced by Sophie’s design and Alex’s patters need some work for sure. There are a few other things I’m thinking about but you’ll have to wait for those changes to find out.

So why am I showing off the characters of Prisoner’s Bale? Well if I haven’t said or made it clear in my last posts (idk man sometimes I don’t make things easy) I’ve decided I’m going to make a comic for the story. Unlike Oh, Where Have You Been Brother? this one will be thought out very extensively. Think of this as sharpening my blade before I even try the Mother’s Land comic. ‘But wait, if you’re making two stories for rottmnt, then why are you making something that doesn’t relate at all?’ I hear you ask curiously while trying to get the cookie jar from the top of the fridge while I start to monologue. Ah, well I really like rottmnt and (as much as I’m happy we’re getting a new movie) I really don’t want to let it go just yet. I find fanfictions are the perfect way to help skills develop. If you’ve seen my Oh, Where Have You Been Brother? you may notice my writing skills are shit. I’ve also realized I tend to write myself into corners without realizing it before the last minute and have to rewrite almost everything, in fact I had a plan and when I posted the latest chapter I realized, oh wait oh shit fuck that means that this won’t work so that means oh god oh fuck shit fuck! I’ll let you guess what I fucked up lol. The point is I’m using my love of TMNT to help me develop better skills for projects that don’t need and can’t have the crutches fanfictions give. Does that mean all TMNT fanfictions do this? No, but this is what I use it for. I just feel like acknowledging it is good and something I shouldn’t be ashamed of.

..do I draw the silly lil dude that I don’t think I’ve ever shown here?- (he’s technically another fnaf oc but I haven’t found a way to put him into a fnaf setting-.. he’s in aus with fnaf characters though- like my main oc/sona Lexi is almost in all the same stuff as him cause she’s his mother in those instances—- plus there’s aus I made of Monty which is in almost all the same stuff/aus lexi is in. Pretty much the same amount the lil dude is in- (I haven’t drawn the lil guy in a while. I wanna draw him again cause He’s too damn cute to me to not draw him >:[ he was originally just for an TOH/the owl house AU for lexi and Monty but now I’m like- he needs to be in more cause he’s just a lil guy he won’t hurt nobody :[ . Thinking on making him like a plushie at first but he had an endo??- similar to plush trap but then when he ai gets more advanced?? Or upgraded?? Or something like that he just gets upgrades, like a new endo/body with spare pieces that are used for both Lexi and Monty?? Idk??, cause I had an idea on where he’d get the same stuff lexi has?? But like- not every single one??- like Atleast the claws, water-proof ability, and the motion-seeing eyes. I’ll show who the lil dude is once I draw him again. 10. How do you decide what to write?

i come up with a lot of ideas and keep them all in a note doc so i always have something to draw from! when it comes down to picking between those, it really depends on my mood and what comes easiest to me. angst is my forte, but i’m learning through my current fic (spark plug!) that i am also capable of writing some solid fluff.

i also really love experimenting with characters and characterization — putting characters in situations that push the limits of who they are and seeing how they bend or break is a very fun thing to explore.

actually choosing what to write really comes down to who i’m in the mood to write about, and what scenario i want to put them in. being a poly shipper makes this really easy at times because i can throw random pairs or trios together and say “let’s play around with this for a while!” i wish i had a more specific answer on my process, but all my focus has been on spark plug recently so i really haven’t had to choose for quite some time!

12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?

i have found as i write more that most tropes and concepts i don’t like are ones that i only like if they’re written well. (and because i like my own writing style, i’d really only read them if they’re in a style similar to mine or if i’m the one writing them.)

most tropes are honestly pretty tolerable if they’re done well. i can’t think of any off the top of my head that i hate regardless of anything, that’s reserved more for AUs and whatnot.

23. What’s a trope, AU, or concept you’ve never written, but would like to?

this is a hard one because i used to roleplay for a couple different fandoms as well as OCs, and i wrote a Lot of things through that. but in terms of actual writing/posting, i really haven’t covered much of what i want to do in the future.

i think the most cursed one i want to try is probably an abo or hybrid AU. i feel silly just saying that, but i think it could be interesting to explore and i know if i’m going to write something cracked, i’m going to take it seriously and make it the best damn cursed AU ever.

i would also really like to write a tourette’s AU someday? i don’t see very many AUs for that out there (and that’s fine, because i’d really rather only have people writing about it if they have a comprehension of the disorder) but it’s something i would love to explore. especially if i could find a way to keep things relatively canonized.

in more specific ideas, i’d love to write bakugou getting adopted by aizawa and present mic. i have ideas for this one and very much look forward to writing it someday.

with that said, here’s a reminder i take requests! i will likely not get to them until after spark plug, but if there’s anything any of you want to see, hit me up and i’ll add it to my list of things to choose from >;) i won’t write x reader fics but aside from that it’s pretty much fair game!

Quick question:

If I opened writing/art commissions (either or both), how many of you would be interested? And if you would be interested, would you be more interested in a writing commission or an art commission? And- would anyone be interested in adopts?

I’ve been thinking about opening comms for a while, I always pushed it off by saying “I’ll open them when I’m good enough”. But I have a feeling that I’ll never feel like I am good enough lol. So I decided that if there’s a decent amount of people wanting a comm from me, than I’d open them!

I don’t really know my pricing yet, but to give you a rough idea I think the cheapest comm you could get from me would vary between 3-5 dollars (Canadian). Art wise, it’d probably be a bust up digital drawing with a plain one colour (or no colour, if you prefer) background of one character of your choosing. (OC or canon, either works) Coloured would be more expensive (leaning more towards $5ish), but I would include simple shading with the colour. And you can choose between my current art style or anime style. Writing wise, it would probably be either headcannon style, or a short imagine under 1000 words. Maybe 1000 words max. I will write about just about anything, OC, fanfiction, canon characters, etc. As long as you provide the details. Anything NSFW would be a little more expensive and I’d need to know your age to make sure you’re 18+. I’m willing to go all out for when it comes to writing NSFW/smut. (Within reason, there are a few things I won’t do) But I haven’t decided how much NSFW I’m actually willing to draw yet.

For the adopts, I don’t really know the pricing yet. I’m just curious to know if anyone would want something like that from me?

This is just me spitballing, prices might change when I actually sit down and think about it. This is all just coming from the top of my head. I don’t want to overprice my work, but at the same time, I’m spending my time and energy making something for you, and I want it to be fair for me too.

glasses

so i wanted to contrast the difference between Lei Mu’s previous relationship with Jade Face with his current relationship with Chuntao ( @wolfcamellias OC) so. here we are.

Lei Mu blinked, the world suddenly becoming much much clearer. The glasses sat uncomfortably on his face, and he automatically raised one hand to adjust them. 

Was this what everyone else saw all the time?

His tail wagged excitedly as he looked down and realized the characters written down on the page in front of him no longer looked like a blurry mess. Maybe like this he could actually learn to read- 

“Hm. No, this won’t do.” 

Lei Mu froze, and Jade Face’s tongue clicked in disappointment as she reached over and slowly pulled the glasses off, making sure one of her hands brushed against the side of his face. Lei Mu blinked as the world became slightly blurry again. 

“Ah- wait-” He reached out, but Jade Face stopped him by simply placing one painted nail against his forehead, pushing him back slightly as the glasses held in her other hand dissolved into a fine green dust. “Why-” 

“These don’t suit you at all.” Jade Face said, sliding her finger down and flicking his nose. “They make the pink of your marking look off and well… we wouldn’t want to ruin the only thing you’ve got going for you, sweetheart.” 

Lei Mu slumped. 

“Did it really look that bad?” 

“Oh sweetie.” She wrapped her arm around him, pulling him close until his face rested in the nook of her neck. “You looked awful.”

Awful, awful, awful. 

That word is all that rings in Lei Mu’s head as he gently places the glasses (given to him by MK and Tang after one too many bumps into the walls and counters of the Noodle Shop) onto his face. 

The world becomes clearer, like he expected it to, and he blinks, taking in the room around him, the characters on the spines of the books on the shelf in front of him- Chuntao’s favorites, they’d said, didn’t smudge together any more. He was glad he’d never asked if they were all multiple copies of the same book to her face. She’d probably laugh at him for that. 

He sighed, before forming a flower in his hand to stare at. He’d never actually gotten to see a flower up close without it going blurry. The petals were…pretty, actually. The small details that he’d never gotten to see before prompting him to sit down on the couch, pulling up his legs to sit criss crossed, as he turned the flower from side to side, running a hand over the petals before creating a new flower to study it as well. 

He must’ve gone through 20 flowers before he startled upon hearing the front door opening. 

He couldn’t hear Chuntao’s footsteps, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t walking towards him, so Lei Mu quickly removed his glasses from his head, and, not being able to find a better place for them, set them down on the coffee table, placing a piece of paper over top of them to keep them hidden. 

Standing up, he kicked the flowers he’d carelessly discarded to the floor underneath the couch, before walking towards the hallway. 

Chuntao enters the room before he gets there. 

Lei Mu freezes mid-step, mind drawing a blank, and his tail swishes before he starts moving again, summoning a white rose into his hand and holding it out to Chuntao. 

“Welcome home, Angel Cake.” 

He gives them his best smile. 

Chuntao raises an eyebrow. 

“You’re hiding something from me.” They said, glancing around for any signs as to what could’ve happened while they were away. 

Lei Mu does the stupid thing. 

He winces. 

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He said, tossing the flower to the side, that plan abandoned. “You’re an assassin- what could I ever hope to be able to hide from you?” 

“That’s what I’m wondering.” Chuntao easily steps around him, entering the kitchen first. He humed upon seeing that the oven is still intact. “Well, you haven’t destroyed the kitchen at least.” 

Lei Mu opens his mouth to say that he would never and that he knows full well how to cook, and then remembers the time Chuntao had in fact come home to a ruined kitchen, and wisely for once decides to keep his mouth shut. 

Chuntao turns and starts making his way to the living room. 

Lei Mu is quick to follow him. 

“My books are still intact…” Chuntao says as they run a finger down one of the book's spines. They turn, staring at where Lei Mu has decided to sit down on the couch once more, fiddling with his tail, pointedly not looking at Chuntao as they walk back over to stand in front of him. “Leilei, what did you do?” 

There’s a hint of amusement in Chuntao’s voice, and if Lei Mu had bothered to look any deeper than that he would’ve found concern as well. 

As it is though, he’s busier fighting to keep a blush from appearing on his face, nervousness starting to roll into embarrassment the longer Chuntao keeps staring at him with that look. Preoccupied like this, he makes a crucial mistake. 

He briefly glances to the side at where the paper rests covering the glasses. It was no more than a split second look, but to an assassin paying attention to his every move…

It was more than enough information. 

Chuntao reached over to pick up the paper, and Lei Mu slumped, knowing the battle had been lost. (Not that he’d expected to win in the first place, but hey, he could at least have some hope). 

Chuntao blinked in confusion at the gold-rimmed glasses sitting on the table. Then she looked back over at Lei Mu, who avoided her gaze once again. The blush was finally starting to break loose on his face, and she could see his body jump with a silent hiccup. 

They gently pick up the glasses, before sliding to kneel on the couch beside him, their knees brushing up against his leg. 

“Look at me.” He whispers, Lei Mu obediently turning towards him and- “You’re holding your breath again, silly boy.” 

Lei Mu breathes out slowly while Chuntao gives a small laugh. 

“Are these yours?” They ask, holding the glasses out towards him. Lei Mu winces again.

“Tang and MK gave them to me.” He says, starting off by matching Chuntao’s tone of a whisper, like they’re sharing important secrets, and slowly getting louder. “Ca- can’t imagine why though. I’ve got 20/20 vision!” 

He holds up one hand in the form of a sideways peace sign beside one of his eyes, winking at her with a smirk. When Chuntao’s expression doesn’t change, he lets his hand fall as he hiccups again. 

“I’ve seen you walk directly into a very visible pole, Lei Mu.” Chuntao smirks a little at the memory, before reaching out to brush Lei Mu’s hair away from his face. “Now let’s see…” 

He slowly slid the glasses onto Lei Mu’s face, and Lei Mu, though he continued to fiddle with his tail, did nothing to stop him. 

Chuntao made a noise of contemplation as they leaned back to examine the full picture in front of them. Lei Mu looked away. 

“I know- they look awful on me, right?” He gives a sad little laugh- “Doesn’t suit me at all, huh?” 

Chuntao gently grabbed hold of his face, turning him back to stare at her. 

“On the contrary.” She said, lightly tracing circles on his cheek with her thumb. “I think you look almost cute in them.” 

She smiles at him, and Lei Mu blinks, the statement processing- 

His face lights up pink and blue, and he hiccups, the glasses slipping slightly from the motion. Chuntao huffed out a laugh as she adjusted them for him, holding the glasses in place as he hiccuped again. 

“I imagine you’ll end up breaking these soon, huh? We can go buy some backups together sometime.” She leans forwards to give him a light kiss, before pulling back to gently run her fingers through his hair. “I’ll block the mirrors for you.”
