HEARTSLAYBUL

Riddle - struggles between wanting to help his youngerself have positive experiences, but also knows that depending on how old he is, it might just be super stress inducing. Finds a middle ground in giving his younger self an "easy" assignment and then giving him the time of his life, 10/10

Trey - he's burnt out from being the oldest, and from momming Riddle, and from taking care of the dorm. His kid self is being told to go play outside and don't get hurt (which his kid self obeys, and comes in when he's hungry and that's about it) very laissez-faire bc he can't be bothered. He knows the other boys in the dorm wouldn't let his kid self get hurt anyways, especially Riddle, who likely ends up taking the brunt of the responsibility 7/10

Cater - hehe yeah his kid self is Traumatized, he brings him to play video games/teach him to skate board/intro to Not Sweet snacks and ends up getting a kid trauma dumping to him. Or. he sees his kid self and nopes out, immediately asks anyone else to take care of him because he's gonna go :sparkles:cry:sparkles: but you don't need to know that. Either 9/10 or a 2/10

Deuce - Awkward at first, but honestly, just does what his mom did for him, smooth sailing, 10/10

Ace - "hah, I'm the best babysitter in the world, only the coolest kids can handle me. Think you have what it takes?" <- secretly really good with kids but only because he had his big brother as a role model. He also knows now all the tricks his big brother used on kid him so he has some fun being that to himself, as much as a handful as kid self is. 8/10

SAVANNACLAW

Leona - Sees how hopeful his younger self was, knows that Savannaclaw knows better than to fuck with it, leaves his child self in community care and leaves bc he doesn't want to reminded of the love he didn't recieve when he was little 10/10 for looking out for both of their mental health

Ruggie - oh my god he adores younger self, teaches him everything he knows, uses his "adorability" to his advantage, but also uses Leona's cash to buy ingredients for a food his younger self rarely got to try as a treat. Honestly, 10/10

Jack - He's a little awkward around his kid self, asks Leona for advice, gets none, asks Vil for advice, Vil ends up Momming and taking over sorry baby Jack. N/A he didn't give up the child intentionally but he also didn't really get to babysit

OCTAVINELLE

Azul - Oh hell no, like at first its like "look how far of come" but the self loathing immediately takes over again. Kid Azul's only saving "grace" is the tweels who terrify the baby by accident but are actually really soft and caring with him. Azul just makes sure his kid self has something to hide in bc "nobody wants to look at that" 2/10

Jade - Knows What He's Doing, and he's going to treat his kid self as gently as possible because he knows what's coming for him in later years :) 10/10

Floyd - Does fine until the kid cries and then pawns his kid self off to Jade 6/10

SCARABIA

Kalim - He's a big brother, but he's not big brother, you know? He likes to make sure the kid has fun and feels safe but he forgets to take breaks and give him water and oh god now he's on a magic carpet bc child self has to go to the bathroom and they're on the WRONG side of the dorm. Very caring, very loving, a little airheaded. If he takes his attention off him he wanders off. Jamil usually has to step in, but neither of them want him to. 7/10

Jamil - In a similar boat to Leona, but instead of leaving his kid self to someone else, he ends up going off campus with his kid self and lets him beat him in races/video games/ dance offs/ etc. so he can feel like he's the best at something for once. They end up cooking together, and honestly it heals adult Jamil a lot too 10/10

POMEFIORE

Vil - Carries a bit of contempt as well as admiration for his younger self. There is a part of him that wishes things had gone differently. Vil likely ends up keeping his kid self in his room all day, but while they're in there, they do all the things Vil remembers wishing he could do, like throwing a tantrum, finally having his feelings about Neige be validated, making a mess, eating whatever he wants, etc. etc. It's just it takes half the day for him to get to that point, before there's a break through it's almost pure ice on adult Vil's side with his kid self just sitting on the bed. 6/10

Rook - Doesn't want anything to do with his kid self, knows his kid self is self sufficient, tells him to not talk to anyone and leaves him alone. ???/10

Epel - Epel uses his kid self as an excuse to go get messy and dirty and play all day. He WILL blame his kid self for any accidents that may occur inside of Pomefiore. Kid self finds it unfair but funny, but can be bought back with some apple slices with caramel. It's a lot of fun, but a lot of clean up. 8/10

IGNIHYDE

Idia - Blames his younger self for the whole ||Ortho|| thing and uh. Would probably lock him out of his room. Ignores/pretends he doesn't exist. Kid Idia seeing ||Ortho "alive"|| would probably have him breaking down. 0/10

Ortho - .....

DIASOMNIA

Malleus - Can't handle his kid self as much as he insists that he can. Probably does something that accidentally triggers himself (both versions) and Lilia has to take over before there's a major melt down. They do have ice cream together after. 5/10

Lilia + Silver - I'm Waiting, Sorry

Sebek - Doesn't want to take care of his kid self. At first he thinks it's cool but then his kid self is biting everything, asking so many questions, getting close to Malleus without permission, showing off his adorable baby side, and kinda hates big Sebek purely because he has magic "already". (Sebek was canonically a 'late bloomer' with magic). He gets Too Stressed and then also gets more pissed off when Silver seems to do a better job baby sitting, but Lilia runs intervention. uhh. 3/10

Peter looked at Stiles when he didn't answer immediately. He could see the hesitation in Stiles' face and felt something twist in his stomach. Peter hadn't changed his number in years. If Stiles didn't have his number anymore, it hadn't been Peter's choices that had lead to it.

This time he didn't wait for Stiles to speak, taking back his phone and pulling out one of his business cards with his other hand in the same movement. "Here. In case you lost it somehow." he said, hiding again behind a saccharine smile. "Though that would explain why you never texted me again after leaving Beacon Hills."

Stiles couldn't help the flinch just as frustration started to bubble up in his chest. It was obvious that Peter had been hurt by the silence, but communication always went both ways and it wasn't as if Peter had texted him either!

He took the card from Peter's hand, maybe a bit too forcefully, but the satisfied glint he could see in Peter's eyes and the way the wolf's lips twitched from mask into honest smirk, was aggravating.

"It's not like you tried to keep contact either, Creeperwolf!" he returned sharply, narrowing his eyes. He definitely wouldn't shoulder the blame alone! "I had the same number for years and you never used it. And since you didn't I didn't think you'd care to get my new one. Or I'd have told Derek to give it to you!"

"Since you just vanished on me without even a good bye - or a text - I didn't think any messages outside of our usual business relations would be welcome!" Peter snapped back, his face almost turning into a snarl.

"Neither did I! We never were that close after all!" Stiles couldn't keep the exasperation out of his voice. He wouldn't let Peter put all the blame on him! He wasn't the only one to blame here! "All we did was researching together and while I had a lot of fun with that, we never really saw each other outside of our research sessions or you being there when I visited Derek or Cora!"

"Oh, of course! Meeting each other outside of pack related situations would have been so easy, right!" Peter snarled back, teeth pressed tightly together. "A cup of coffee after a research session, maybe? Oh, how could I forget you would always either immediately leave or join the rest of the pack in the living room! And when you were visiting - correct me if I'm wrong - you usually ignored me, no matter if I was in another room or on the sofa with you and my niblings!"

"Of COURSE I ignored you! The only thing you did was rile up Derek and lament about your home being teenage central! Why would I think you, a man then more than double my age, would want to hang out with me - a teenager - without you telling me you wanted to?! Nevermind that after the research sessions-"

"I never had the CHANCE to ask you to stay because you LEFT ME BEHIND!"

"…what?"

Stiles stared at Peter, completely blindsided by the wolf's outburst. The sudden silence sounded loud in his ears as he tried to grapple with what he'd just heard. Peter himself seemed just as blindsided and then a look of panic crossed his face when Stiles opened his mouth. "I did-" "Nevermind."

Peter's face closed off as he turned around and Stiles felt a stab of his own panic rushing through him, as he stepped around the counter. For some reason it felt as if Peter would be gone for good, if he didn't act right now. "Oh no. Nonononono. Talk to me, Peter. C'mon, look me in the eyes and repeat that." He reached out for Peter's arm as he followed the wolf towards the shop's entrance, but Peter dodged him easily. "Don't act like you care," Peter hissed, his voice laced with something Stiles couldn't identify.

"I'm not nice enough to care, Peter." Stiles hissed back and flicked his fingers. The shop's door locked with an audible click and that was finally enough to bring Peter to a halt. Almost. Stiles took a fast step back when Peter wheeled around, eyes blazing blue, a growl vibrating between them, but Stiles didn't intend to let the man hurt him. He wasn't afraid of Peter, hadn't been for a while now, and for some reason he was sure that the wolf wouldn't hurt him. No matter what kind of aggressive display he was showing here. Well then. Time to get the to the bottom of this.

Anyways!!! I've actually been waiting to drop a bunch of stuff on these fellas that I've been talking about with some folks on Discord (which y'all can also ask for if you wanna talk to me on there I LOVE TALKING TO YOU GUYS), so thank you for granting me the perfect opportunity >:3 so, without further ado, I shall begin:

First of all, i just wanted to drop my height HCs bc,,,, why not lmao

I can't exactly visualize heights very well in my mind so these may be a wee bit too tall, idk, but yeah! I think giving Hyde an extra half inch would be funny bc you KNOW that mf would just round up lmao. Elias is a bit taller than Hyde, which Hyde kinda hates sometimes, itty bitty fella.

Anyways!! Harry is first up for rambling bc I have less for him rn lmao. I don't remember if ive mentioned it much before on here, but I know I included it in the fic i did for him, and that's his Scottish accent :3 we as a fandom don't write Jekyll's accent enough so I like projecting it onto injured Hyde and now Harry 😌 MORE SCOTTISH JEKYLL PLEASE-

Harry didn't really have to worry about keeping face in the mindscape (except for when around Mind Lanyon, who would pester tf out of him over it) so he fell back to at LEAST having an accent. He partially fell back on it because 1, it made him feel a wee more comfortable, and 2, because of how often he revisited memories from university (specifically during his and Lanyon relationship ofc), so he's used to hearing himself speaking with at least a drawl.

But yeah, that accent kinda sticks with him when he gains control and he has quite a hard time shaking it, which makes for some fun interactions, like when Lanyon's trying to break down his office door :3333

I believe I've mentioned this, but Harry is very very sensitive to most physical sensations (touch, pain, etc.) and has some light and sound sensitivities for a decent bit after gaining control. Because of how long he spent in the mindscape with numbed senses, It really messed with him to suddenly have control again. Eventually he starts getting used to it again, but for the first few days he's practically on the edge of a mental breakdown at every moment. He's also super jumpy from it (and from the ungodly paranoia he got from the mindscape lmao) and is quite firmly "no touch" for about a week (except for when he initiates stuff with Lanyon). Once he gets used to it tho his touch starved ass is a lot more affectionate and such.

One last thing for him! He's also far more sensitive to hunger and thirst sensations/pain, so he tends to take far better care of their body while in control. It took him a short while to get used to eating and drinking again, but he's more than happy to do it, not realizing how much he had missed it. Plus, he's seen how horrible Jekyll and Hyde would take care of themselves, so he certainly doesn't want their neglect to be his downfall. He's also a bit more sensitive to being tired, but can't sleep very well (especially without Lanyon) because of paranoia and nightmares.

OKAY, NOW, onto Elias!! Most all this stuff is from a discord convo that I didn't feel like rewording, so... Sorry if the formatings weird 💀 (questions are indented and italicized, as well as abbreviated)

OKAY SO, For how Henry (or whoever) convinces Elias to switch back:

Elias usually throws some sort of fit when he's initially order to switch back (except for the very rare instances where he's actively wanting to switch back, like when everyone's busy and he starts getting lonely anyways), though most the time he'll simmer down when Henry starts sorta begging or when either Henry or Lanyon (or very occasionally Hyde) lowkey bribe him. Usually Henry (or Hyde) will bribe him with physical touch/affection (hugs, cuddling, kisses, stuff like that), or bonding time, like going out and doing things together and such (or just doing stuff together at the society, like watching Henry do science or doing paperwork 💀). (Also, sometimes Jekyll will just get somewhat impatient and start asking more desperately and the guilt kinda gets to Elias, Henry usually feels bad about it tho) otherwise, Lanyon will bribe him (quite grudgingly, might I add) with more time out, going to the park with Elias in shadow form and talking, or letting him get a gift for Jekyll or Hyde. But yeah, Elias is lowkey like a little affectionate, overactive puppy :3

LANYON WOULD TOTALLY STEAL ELIAS'S STUFF TO USE AS BARGAINING LEVERAGE 💀 but yes, bribery is the go to, this guy does NOT like being locked away, so when he does it's either out of guilt or he's getting something out of it, hehe

[...] Imagine that since Lanyon is probably taller than elias, he just hides some lf his stuff on higher places so that he cannot reach them, I feel like Elias would annoy the hell out of him so that he stops doing it though (Lanyon puts them back where they where, and when Elias isn't there, he just hides them again) also, I just imagined Jekyll like guilt tripping or manipulating him so that he drinks the potion

Oh he absolutely would, Lanyon would have a whole "confiscated" shelf for it too, and Elias would definitely whine about it with sooo much persistence. AND JFKGKKF YEAH JEKYLL WOULD 😭😭 both out of selfishness and not, since he still hasn't tested how the formula behaves when an alter ego is out for prolonged amounts of time, and sometimes he just wants Robert back.

Jekyll likes Elias, he just has more of a preference for Lanyon. Jekylls probably also got a bit less patience for Elias's whining after dealing with Hyde's for so long lmao, he always feels kinda bad about being mean or anything to Elias tho, since it's kinda his fault that Lanyon split.

Would Lanyon ever like bother Elias with the fact that Jekyll likes him better?? Like maybe, at one point he just gets too tired of him wanting to hang out with Jekyll and says to him that Jekyll just deals with him out of pity, and like Elias then just feeling kinda bad about it and wondering if Jekyll actually likes him??

If Lanyon's feeling especially spiteful and annoyed, probably, but also Elias worries about that enough on his own and bothers Lanyon with all his self deprecating thoughts anyways 💀

How does Hyde feel about Elias?

He's generally guilt free about the whole "splitting Lanyon" thing and /gen likes Elias way more than he likes Lanyon lmao. He still gets that sorta bitter anger and resentment when he looks at Lanyon, but he doesn't get that with Elias. Hyde kinda thinks that Elias is all the best parts of Lanyon (Except for Elias's emotional sensitivity sometimes, but Hyde deals. He feels surprisingly bad when he upsets Elias..) But yeah, Elias is most of the reason why Hyde is complacent enough to actually kinda lay low after messing up Blackfog and stuff, so Jekyll certainly likes Elias for keeping Hyde somewhat in check lmao

Valentine’s Exchange Gift Discord Server Event

William x gn!reader, 1st POV

Summary: William was just being his usual William self when I happened to pass by that corridor. That was when we met for the first time - a mess of scratched hands and band-aids.

Note: This is my first time writing for a gn!reader so I tried to be as careful as I can on that end. This is also my first time writing a fic for another fandom other than ARR - and I even wrote one for an NPC first before doing one for my stan. I guess I thought it wouldn’t be right to write about my stan and think about it in my perspective when this is supposed to be a gift for someone which is why I braved writing about William - I also find his character cute!

The request said that they’d be happy with anything that has William in it so I went with a self-insert fic. I’m also a global player and don't like spoilers myself so I wrote this based on William’s character that I picked up through what I’ve seen of him from the prologue and the chronicles. I usually do an OC for self-inserts (by OC - I mean imagined fictional versions of my friends, they are the only OCs I made anyway) so it was a challenge to write a self-insert without much of an idea about my recipient. It’s also why the character might sound a little vague since I don’t want to characterize them too much - to make it easier to self-insert (is this how you do it? Self-insert really is a different world >.<)

Lastly, the story isn't exactly valentines-y bc truthfully I had a hard time imagining William in that setup... I hope it's okay >.<

I was on my way to the dorms when I heard someone shout, "Ouch!"

I turned to spot a guy with pink hair and a bleeding hand. Then, a ginger kitten walked up to me and rubbed between my legs.

He sighed in exasperation and mumbled to himself, "I don't get why they hate me when I like them so much."

I approached him with the kitten at my heels. I always have some band-aids with me for emergencies. It came in handy for the situation. I crouched down to his level and offered him the band-aids after rummaging through my bag.

"Here, I think you could use them," I said while gesturing to his bloody hand.

He was about to reach for them but stopped himself midway. He seemed to have realized that he would have a hard time putting them on himself so he asked me, "Hey, I'll wash my hands first. Then, can you help me put it on later? Wait for me here. I'll be back in a flash. Please watch the kitty for me!"

He was gone just like that, dashing towards the restroom. I kept crouching and petted the kitten. Looking at it closely, I realized that it’s a he. Our family has a cat back home so I didn’t mind watching him. I noticed a cardboard box in front of the door where the pink-haired guy must have come from. On the box was a note that said, “Please adopt me!”

“Poor little kitty,” I murmured as I continued to pet the kitten.

“Well, it happens all the time here.”

I flinched in surprise. 

“Oops, I’m sorry if I surprised you. I’m William and I’m the president of this club,” he introduced himself while pointing to the door.

It was only then that I noticed the signage on the door that said “Purrfect Pals Association”

I stood up and took his hand to help him put on the band-aids. The kitten must have had a grudge against him for scratching him up like this.

“I’m Y/N. Nice to meet you, William.”

“Thanks a lot for your help. Hey, you seem like a natural around cats. This little one likes you. Do you also like cats?” he asked me with sparkling eyes.

“We have a cat at home so I know a thing or two. What do you do with the cats left here?” I asked as I looked down at the kitten who was rubbing himself on me.

“We have supplies on hand at the club so we can take care of them for a while. We put up an adoption notice at the bulletin board and wait until a kind soul decides to adopt them.”

He stopped talking and cleared his throat before suddenly asking, “Y/N, you seem like a kind soul, what do you think about adopting this little kitty?”

Instead of answering his question, I asked one of my own, “William, do you own a cat?”

He faltered for a moment before boldly declaring, “No. But I love them so much that I became the president of this club.”

I couldn’t help but laugh at his statement.

He furrowed his brow and asked, “Did I say something funny?”

“No.. but I just find it ironic that you like cats so much but they don’t seem to like you at all.” I pointed at his scratched hand to show my point.

William scratched his head awkwardly. “Well..” he trailed off, then he cleared his throat and said with a serious tone, “I believe that one day, I’ll meet a cat that will like me back.” 

“I’ll take it as no cat actually liked you before.”

“Haha.. we only met today but it feels like you’re seeing through me and my love for cats.”

At some point during our conversation, the kitten fell asleep by my right foot. 

He pointed at him and asked me, “I think this one really likes you, what do you say about adopting him?”

As I was contemplating it, he added, “I’ll help you raise him! After all, this is what this club is for. You should join us, are you a member of a club already?” He was looking at me with sparkly, pleading eyes.

“How about this, I’m not yet entirely sure about keeping a cat on my own but how about I try to help you find him an owner. I’ll also help look after him and swing by the club room. If we really can’t find anyone in a week, it would be enough time for me at least to get accustomed to taking care of him and that’s when I’ll take him home with me.”

“Deal,” he replied right away and shook my hand vigorously. “Welcome to the Purrfect Pals Association!”

Technically, I only agreed to helping out with taking care of the cat and not joining the club, I thought to myself. Oh well, I guess this is not so bad. I couldn’t help but smile as William looked so enthusiastic about this. This might just be what I needed to make my stay in this school more memorable, although, I admit that William’s pink hair is memorable enough.

Today was a training day, and so Hanzo and Hannah decided to take a slot later in the afternoon, focusing on strengthening themselves. Although it was far from a traditional date, they supposed it would be nice to spend some time together in any way, how any newer relationship should start.

It was raining on the range, so they focused on exercising in the indoor gym. Hannah used the hand weights and exercise bikes, while Hanzo took to the punching bags.

As he struck the stuffed bag, his mind went back to his martial training back in the Shimada clan. He was always told to channel hatred in his strikes, or else it would only be weakness. He was always able to beat any enemy in this way. But then his thoughts suddenly wandered to something that monk omnic had said to him.

And what of the enemy within?

Enemy within… he never wanted to listen to that nonsense that worked on his brother. He was not Genji. He was the eldest son of the Shimadas, who he betrayed, crumbling his own life apart. If anything, he was his own enemy. And he deserved every. Last. Blow.

Across the room as she worked on her own sets, Hannah noticed his workout intensifying, intense anger slowly twisting his face until he was practically about to bust the punching bag off its chain.

She rushed over, calling out to him. “Woah, woah, Hanzo!”

He snapped out of his enraged trance, startled by the sudden voice. He’d forgotten he wasn’t alone. He’s always been alone, but… things were different now. He supposed he was still getting used to that. He didn’t turn towards her, but he at least acknowledged her by stopping.

Hannah spared a glance at his calloused knuckles, cracked, and even starting to bleed some. “I think… it’s time for a break,” she gently suggested, taking one of his rough hands into her own.

He didn’t say a word, but flinched slightly at her touch, as she led him to the other side of the training room, where a first aid kit hung upon the wall. He sat as he was then instructed, avoiding her gaze.

She took some gauze and antiseptic out the kit, sitting next to him and starting to tend to his injuries. Usually his fists remained clenched, but around her they would usually soften. Even as she cleansed the blisters, he barely flinched, the only tell of his pain a slight grunt stifled in his throat.

As she wrapped the gauze around his bruised hands, he said not a word, the circular motion almost hypnotic as he remained deep within the rough waters of his mind. Seeing such delicate hands treating his own with such care… it should have eased him, made him feel happy, even. But still, even now… he didn’t know if he deserved this, any of it, at all.

When Hannah finished, she looked back up at his face, recognizing that he was lost in thought, sullen. Even when he had nearly maimed that punching bag, he seemed distracted. “Hey… you alright?” she asked earnestly, hands still lingering on his, until he pulled away.

“Nothing you should concern yourself with,” Hanzo dismissed, gaze glued to the floor.

“Well I am concerned. I can tell something’s on your mind. Don’t already start pushing away from me…” She placed her hand on his shoulder now, along the dark clouds and lightning on his inked skin. A tumultuous storm, much like himself, but nothing that couldn’t be weathered through.

He heaved a deep sigh, admitting to himself that she was right. Just a few weeks ago they had opened their hearts to each other, it was cowardice to retreat into himself now. “...I do not… deserve this…” he quietly started.

“Deserve what…?” she probed further.

“...You. Your… kind words, your delicate touch…” He raised his now bandaged hands to look at them. “No matter how I try, I still feel… unworthy.”

She frowned at that. “Don’t say that… Everyone deserves caring and compassion, especially you. I care about you because I like you, love you, even. I can’t stand to see you still hurt yourself over your past. Was that what got you so worked up on the punching bag?”

He listened to her words, as hard as his mind was protesting them otherwise. He slowly nodded at her question. “Truthfully… I was imagining my own self as my opponent.”

She gasped a little, nearly teary from such a worrisome statement. She moved closer towards him, now bringing her other hand up to his face. He tried to turn away, ashamed at his confession, but she gently fought to get him to face her. “Hanzo. Look at me.”

He did so, deep brown eyes looking back at her soft blues, and within them he saw an ocean of love and compassion, and he did not look away.

“You’re more than just your past. What matters is now, and the man I see before me now is one I love and care for.” She then pressed her forehead against his. “You’re gonna be okay, okay?”

And the dam finally crumbled. Her niceties turned him into putty in her hands, leaning into her touches. Tears that were shoved far far down bubbled to the surface, a thin stream rolling down his cheek. “I… understand… Thank you…” he shakily replied, hands also trembling as he went to hold her close as well.

The hand on his cheek thumbed away some of his tears, and she placed a kiss on the other to catch some on that side as well. She then leaned to wrap her arms around his large frame, rubbing soothing circles into his back. Her hug was soon returned, his strong arms holding her so tenderly.

Some part of Hanzo felt ashamed still, but he knew now the woman in his arms wouldn’t dare think less of him for this. Even so, he knew his burdens were a lot to bear. “I-I am sorry—” he attempted to say, but he was cut off by gentle hushing from her.

“It’s okay… Let’s just relax now and get back to base, okay?” Hannah leaned back, giving him an assuring smile. “It is suppertime after all, you wanna order some food? Does a warm bowl of ramen sound good, with cake for dessert?”

He finally smiled back, huffing a bit. “I should not have disclosed those being my favorites. You’re going to spoil me if we order that too often.”

“Call it a cheat day, we worked hard,” she retorted with a playful wink and a pat on his arm.

He chuckled again, then sighed, content for now. “Silly girl,” he remarked, leaning forward and placing a kiss on her forehead. “Thank you, blossom.”

EXPERIENCE: Back when I was 15 or 16 on forums. I did some avatar games that had roleplay baked into it as well that were good. Did a lot of RP in warcraft back during BC to WOTLK, but could not get into it in FFXIV. Tumblr has been my favorite place to write, by far. I love getting into longer form. On that note-

PREFERRED ROLEPLAY TYPE: Literate paragraphs! I can't stay bantering in short stuff to save my life. Like a leak I inevitably switch over to having a paragraph. Then two. Maybe three. I'm pretty comfy around the 300-500 word length on my replies. I get intimidated when they get consistently longer and writer's block starts to lay its bricks.

PET PEEVES & DEALBREAKERS: An inability to meet halfway when plotting is brought up. I don't like being waited on like it's my responsibility to come up with a compelling plot that I suspect you'll half-ass reply to. Have some advocation for what you want. Otherwise ... yeah.

Also an overabundance of context-less dash commentary. Particularly connected to their discord happenings. Some blogs feel less 'indie' and more pseudo-group related. And if you're not involved good luck.

PLOTS OR MEMES: I like to think I'm pretty good rolling with the punches! I can do memes, random asks, and memes and ad-libbing a situation out of a few back and forth banters is really amusing. It's also easier than front-loading a ton of plotting that may or may not be realized anyway. Letting events happen off the cuff feels more dynamic and allows more surprises for both writing parties. <:

That said, don't mind plotting whatsoever! So long as the other person actually wants it and isn't going through the motion of it because it's 'what people do'. Also... I hope they're ready for the long game if so? Like they want to let the plot play out and not just making a plot and then jumping to the end of it.

BEST TIME TO WRITE: Whenever I can put my adhd into proper submission. I like writing at the office (after I have my work for the day handled) because it separates me from the usual distractions but we can only be so strong...

I like writing earlier in the day! I feel like my best work is done in the mornings, after all. And the head is clearer before I've hit lunch. So on weekends where I don't have plans and I can make myself sit down at a keyboard before everyone else is around, that's just great.

3. describe the creative process of writing a chapter/fic nothing TOO out there i dont think...... usually i have a very VERY loose outline of like. here is how the fic starts and here is how it will end, here is how these characters start and here is how they will end. yknow. and sometimes that outline doesnt even happen until a few chapters in LMFAOOOO sometimes i really am just making shit up on the fly !!!!!!!!!!!! i didnt have a set second protagonist in mind for lgowab until that fifth chapter lmfao!!!! IM A FRAUD

but THEN once ive gotten into the rhythm of it i usually write down ideas for further chapters/further dialogue down in an empty discord server, so while its still disconnected there is still SOME organization!!! which means i have a general idea of how these next chapters should go :)

23. best writing advice for other writers? ooooooo there are a few tips i would suggest! one of the more obvious is learn when to use line breaks definitely. don't just make it one big chunk of text! hurts the eyes and makes it less appealing for any new readers that are just chiming in!! also learn a bit more on writing dialogue, and remember that you don't have to add a name tag after every sentence of dialogue!! the readers are smart enough to know who is talking (ESPECIALLY IF ITS ONLY TWO PEOPLE) so constantly going back and forth between Person A said, Person B replied, Person A said, Person B replied gets repetitive!

and then one final piece of advice i TRY to follow for multi-chapter fics is the rule that the character whose pov we are reading from shouldnt be the exact same at the end of the chapter as they were at the beginning of the chapter. for example, if i wrote makoto to be tense at the beginning of the chapter, then the end of the chapter could have him more relaxed. if i wrote miu as confident in the beginning of the chapter, i could write her as unfulfilled and irritated at the end of it. this change can be subtle!!!! its a good tip for preventing stagnant characters/action as you move forward from chapter to chapter :)

there was another danganronpa theatre event planned! i only wrote the title down so im not super sure about any details, but i thiinnnkkkkk this might have been an alternative scene to the himiko danganronpa theatre event we got (the one with rantaro). it would have starred the below characters and they would have been playing some kind of card game in the hospital. scrapped because the other event made a lot more sense for himiko

inari- she's very, very attached to her home country of skalmere, even though it's illegal for her to exist there and she'd likely be killed if she ever went back. she has a little skalian flag sewn on the inside of her jacket, over her heart. idk, something about it is really compelling, i guess i connect it to being a minority in a conservative area but not wanting to leave.

daci- okay, i love her bc she's a sweetheart, but i think what i like most is that her magic (empathy, literally) is very sensory-based, so if she chooses to use it around a lot of people she gets sensory overload, and sometimes there's so much she can't fully turn her magic off, and idk, i like angst, i like magic drawbacks, i like people who refuse to let their friends know their magic has drawbacks.

cas- he projects this image of himself as really dark and edgy and scary but he actually has the lowest self-esteem known to man (well, second to inari) and if ollie so much as looks at him sternly he will fold and walk back his most recent bad decision. he's so funny to me for that.

ollie- they're literally just this happy-go-lucky artist kid from the backcountry that you would never expect to be the right hand of mr edgy up there ^^ its a really fun character type to play with

eira- she's this small, babyfaced, anxious girl that literally everyone estimates, kind of rightfully bc she's very out of her depth, but from the first page she's got this undercurrent of strength and ambition and i really love balancing those two things (or unbalancing them and causing her problems)

tyrian- he's the most Some Guy ever, the ken to eira's barbie if you will, and he's the only one without magic or a significant amount of trauma, so he's even more out of his depth than eira is but doing his best. and i love him.

i started this story when i was 15 and younger than them all, and in 8 months i'll be older than all of them. which is insane.

✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?

there's a forum on the nanowrimo website, where i was spending most of my time back in 2019 (you know this, lexi), and there's a category in there to adopt character names. someone made a list of fantasy names and their meanings, which i went back and found just now:

inari, daciana, eira, and cassian (cas's full name) are all up there. i actually almost named him caspian, bc it means sea, but i had an inkling that "hollow" would be more fitting. also, there's narnia.

fun fact: isleen and isleen wer taken for tyrian's older sister & younger brother, dyah (which i'm now tweaking to either dyha or dyja, but it was dyah for four years) was taken for inari's little sister, and valens was taken for eira's father.

i don't remember where tyrian came from at all, except that two posts above that post someone suggested "tyr?" hm. also, i pulled several names from other posts for the eight gods of daci's religion, as well as alarik for her dog and kiver for a kid who will be important near the end. no one needed to know all of that, i'm just realizing now that this thread was absolutely instrumental to olt's beginnings, lol.

oh, also ollie/oleander isn't from there! they came when i sent a picrew to some friends on a discord server and asked for naming help. i'm no longer in that server, nor do i remember who suggested the name, but i am forever in their debt bc it is incredible.

oh, and last names i just COMPLETELY made up based on vibes, except for gatien. i remember googling for that one, i don't remember what, and i selected it bc it means "watchman," tho i'm not sure what i was going for there anymore. also inari and daci's last names have been nixed bc i grew to hate them, so....i still need to replace those.

PLOTS OR MEMES: I love both! I think because I'm stepping into a space with a lot of veterans, plotting is particularly important... I do love the unpredictableness of memes though. If I plot too much (from start to middle to end), I admittedly lose interest. Usually just plotting a little at the start and letting the muses go wild is my preferred way to go! Makes it fun. Sometimes muses don't like going by the script anyways.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: These days I don't really care as long as I have something to work with. Because RP is collaborative writing, I personally try my best to give my partner something to work with while also pushing the story along. But all in all, I guess I prefer longer? Single sentences (if not deliberate for impact or wtv) can get me pretty stuck.

BEST TIME TO WRITE: I am super sporadic but I'm usually around at night time JST. Like, 7pm - 5am because *laughs in gay vampire*

✔ “Hey man, it was no big deal.” Kou say, trying to cover it up.

✔ “No big deal?!” He’d say, now grabbing Kou by his shirt. “She’s asking what the hell that means?! What are we supposed to tell her now?!”

✔ “Is this adult talk?” She’d ask innocently.

✔ “Dude, you’re making it worse.” Kou would say.

✔ “Look who’s talkin’! The asshole who caused trouble!” Yuma would roar.

✔ At this point, Ruki quickly got out of his seat and escorted her out of the room so he could talk to her and explaining, leaving those two to bicker.

✔ Azusa would try to calm them down, but he’s mostly just listening and hoping to get hit if a physical fight breaks out between them.

✔ When she does come of age, it seems like he'd throw away the relationship he's had with her and treat her like crap.

✔ It would definitely come as a psychological shock and possibly lead to trauma.

Yuma:

✔ Teaches her how to garden and makes her help him out with gardening in general.

✔ Such as watering the crops, picking them when the time is right and planting new ones for the incoming season.

✔ He especially scolds her about tomatoes and when they’re ready to pick. Like, he’s the biggest critic about this.

✔ One time, she picked a tomato that looked ready but really wasn’t. He was so upset about it and scolded her about it.

✔ “You can’t pick ’em at that stage. They’re foolin’ ya. When you eat it, it won’t taste right.”

✔ From then on, he took her under his wing and gave specific instructions on when to pick certain things, or to just ask him for help if she needed something.

✔ He sometimes chases her around the garden too, but goes easy on her due to his vampire speed.

✔ Sometimes Kou joins in along with Azusa, but it usually ends with Kou getting thrown through the window by Yuma for cheating by using his vampire speed.

✔ Sometimes curses in front of her if shit doesn't go right, and if Ruki's there, he's going to scold him for it.

✔ Sometimes, he'll get into mature subjects with her without realizing it and when she doesn't understand him and asks what he means, he's just like "Don't worry about it."

✔ Shares his sugar cubes with her only sometimes. Such as if she's having a bad day, or she helped him out in some way.

✔ Asks if she's getting bullied at school and teaches her how to defend herself just in case anyone does.

✔ And, when he's demonstrating a self-defense move, he uses Kou as a dummy to show her how it works along with the impact it gives.

✔ Every time Azusa witnesses these sessions, he's like waiting and begging for Yuma to use him as a dummy, but Yuma won't because he likes Azusa and doesn't want to hurt him.

✔ Sometimes cooks with Yuma, and if Kou wants to help, it’s going to get wild in that kitchen with them arguing.

✔ For example, Yuma will tell her to cut the vegetables in a certain way, while Kou will show her an alternative way that’s easier.

✔ “That’s not gonna work, dumbass. You’re not supposed to cut them that way, it doesn’t match the dish we’re making.”

✔ “Oh yeah! Alright Mr. Iron Chef, why don’t you show us how?!” Kou would sass.

✔ The little girl reminds them not to fight because she doesn’t want to see that. “Don’t fight. You’re brothers, you’re supposed to love each other.”

✔ “Ha?! What load of crap is that?” Yuma would comment.

✔ “Yuma, language.” Ruki would chime in, coming in at the right time before a serious fight broke out between the two.

✔ Yuma might say insensitive things to her when he's scolding her, leading her to cry and Kou gets pissed at him about that.

✔ "Dude, you can't say those things. She's twelve."

✔ "Hey, I didn't mean it. I was just trying to teach her."

✔ And Yuma feels like total shit knowing he made her cry. He eventually sits down and apologizes, giving her a sugar cube, and if no one's watching, a hug.

✔ Might even adopt a pet with her and take care of it.

I want to marry this guy. Anyways.

He would never initiate a movie night you would have to ask him. Honestly it's very obvious that if it'll make you happy he's more than available to do it. And he's gonna make sure it's the best damn movie night you've ever had.

The food is home cooked and good, not freezer pizza or anything but actual quality cooking. He can't help but be proud that you're so surprised by this fact.

He's the kinda guy to grab you chin and wipe something off of your face and when you look confused he says "sorry. There was something on your face" and goes back to the movie all embarrassed like.

You cannot really tell if he's even watching when you look over at him he's usually looking at you. He likes seeing you excited about things what can I say.

Tries to be a cool boyfriend and put his arm around you and initiate some contact but he's awkward about it and will only get close if you snuggle up to him.

Carries you to bed if you fall asleep during the film.

I would kill for a movie night with this guy. It would be the most fun

Out everyone, Childe definitely gets the most into it. He won't sit there quietly and will openly share his opinions on what's happening in the film.

He's used to having to put on TV for his younger siblings when he is at home to keep the occupied, and is all in for doing all the classic movie night shenanigans.

He'll drive you on a late gas station run for snacks and drinks, help you set up all the cushions and pillows on the couch, or maybe even make a fort. He would tease you for being childish but he is having just as much fun with it.

Turns your head and kisses you during particularly gory scenes if you're not a fan of them.

Commentating the WHOLE TIME. Silly Fatui man needs to shush up. I know you can hold a sword properly and this random actor can't but is that important? On top of that sings along if it's a musical.

He suggests you guys watch high school musical or a marvel movie.

So cuddly the whole time. Did he want to watch the movie or just kiss you all night?! You really can't tell. One arm over your shoulders to begin and some time in pulls you into his lap, back against his chest, while you watch.

I am adding dottore again bc he is so swag and I love him underrated.

He would say yes immediately and then provide you with a list of movie options with pros and cons for you to choose from. Makes it very clear what his favorite is but in the end let's you choose.

The kind to pause the movie while you get up to grab something so that you don't miss anything and asks you do the same for him.

Favorite movies? Mystery and horror films definitely. He not so subtly always hates the protagonists though, and will make rude comments about their decisions the whole time.

"What a blundering idiot. It was obvious what the solution was." And he proclaims this too you like, 'right? C'mon I'm right.'

He likes knowing the ending while you don't, it makes him laugh (hehehe >:] kinda) when you ask him what's going to happen and he just shushes you. Cheeky bastard >:/

If you're watching one of his favorites he's anxious you enjoy it too.

So how is he on cuddles during movies? Not a bug cuddler but he scrunched up close to you and you share a blanket, or rest his head on your shoulder.

Dottore got his ideal movie night figured out down to the bone, every snack pillow, etc and he's so oddly proud of it it's so funny?! He's a dork!!

God forbid anyone interrupt you watching a movie. He will glare at them and not so politely shoo them out. Dont they know basic manners?!

Always down to binge multiple movies, instead of just one.
